Hollow Bastion... Not a world many people would think to visit in those days. The sun hung relatively low on the horizon, signalling that it would soon be night. In the mean time, the sun cast out a kaleidoscope of orange, red and lilac across the blue canvas that was the sky, like an unbelievably beautiful abstract painting. Shadows stretched out, lengthened, as though trying to escape the last light of that day. In the midst of the oncoming evening, a castle stood out from the wrecked lands around it, standing tall, defiant, and strong. The state of the rest of this world might have made some think that this magnificent building was abandoned, too...
...which was exactly what had appealed to the lone occupant inside, when she had first stumbled across this world.
Celeste Parthenia cast her gaze out of a window for a brief moment, so as to check the approximate time-of-day via the sun's position. By her guess, she didn't have very long until night came, and with it her celestial powers, powers she (for the most part) only had access to at night. As Goddess of the Night Sky, she was vastly powerful, able to use the power of the stars and moon to her will; she did not enjoy demonstrating her power to others, however, as she always feared that she would cause unintentional harm to them.
Coincidentally, that was also part of the reason why she chose to stay away from human beings, no matter how lonely she got. She didn't want to put them at risk, while having no choice but to stay in this universe of theirs...
The goddess walked away from the window, a light sigh escaping her lips. She had come here for a reason, which was to hide. To hide from those she might unintentionally harm...little did she know what else there was out there for her to hide from. Still, she did get awfully lonely...the lone immortal, the only one of her sort in this universe at all. Perhaps one day she would bring herself to get close to others, make friends, something like that... Perhaps one day soon she could even go home.
"If only..." she whispered to herself, softly, then shook her head. Walking out of the room, she proceeded to walk through the hallway into the entrance hall, which she began to walk across with the intention of getting to (and, of course, using) the staircase. Had it been night just yet - it wouldn't be much longer - she could have simply flown to the upper floor. But, alas, it was not quite the right time, and thus her celestial wings were not yet visible.

A miniature, ethereal representation of a masculine humanoid is drawn amongst a mere speck of a constellation. Its features are hidden, cloaked by a robe. Spiritually, it is an entity; however, a physical form is conjured by an accumulated sort of particles. This repeats twice after the first, and from left to right is youngest to oldest. Withdrawing from their backsides, a pair of glorified wings extend valiantly and remain as such.
The masculine Angel between the youngest and oldest steps forward. "The Corruption is a plague, and this 'Darkness' is a mere puppet of it." Wisdom, tranquility, and self-righteous passion is his tone. "It has been smote, and again shall it be smited. This is a cycle that only we are capable of ending, though those of 'Darkness' have kept it kindled as we attempt to extinguish the inanimate spark." The middle-aged masculine Angel lifted his left arm, hands gesturing a beckon. "The council recognizes Arosin of Mere'dal."
Arosin appears instantly, as if only a vision or ghost in the eyes of the councilmen. "You have summoned Arosin and agitated him. For what purpose do the divines have for interrupting their champion?" He crossed his arms over his chest nonchalantly.
The middle-aged masculine Angel stepped back as the younger stepped forward. "You..." meekly announcing, "are our only hope to keep the Corruption at bay until... others are trained." He bowed his head once, hands cradling one another. "This is your mission-..."
"You arrogant troglodyte," the elder masculine Angel spoke in approach, "your primary objective is to secure the outer rim." The young masculine Angel stepped back after comprehending the crude interruption. "The Angelic Vanguard has strong defense amongst the inner walls and its sanctum for our kind. You understand this, and will be remembered as a failure for all eternity if you are unsuccessful."
Arosin kept his straightened posture, nodding once in acknowledgment to the elder masculine Angel's assertive behavior. "I have yet to fail, so I advise keeping that foul tongue beneath your teeth before I find them after death. As lon-..."
"As long," responded the elder masculine Angel rather harshly, "as you are under our gaze and code, you are bound to us. Now, you know your duty."
Arosin displayed a facial expression of irritation, allowing his arms to lay against his abdomen lazily. A turn against his heel is performed, and a descent down an invisible flight of stairs is initiated. The ethereals are brought into a faded mist before evaporating. The descent became moderately faster, until he leaped forward. His stance is locked, arms against sides and ankle to ankle. His wings were secured to his posterior, and an envelope of ignited flame surround him. Through space, his speed were as if a comet or extinguished shooting star. It curved beautifully and swiftly kept to its course.
The destination was... Hollow Bastion, the currently residing location of Luciforn. What felt as if mere moments was a few hours, and he entered the atmosphere like a rocket. The flames dimmed and the impact was strong; however, the crater was rather pathetic though for obvious reasons. Arosin rose to his feet, extending wings to stretch and dusting himself off.

The sound of the newcomer's arrival outside the castle was picked up on almost immediately by Celeste, though of course at first she did not know what it was. The instant the sound reached her ears, she came to an immediate halt, the muscles in her body tensing up subconsciously, and a small nervous shiver ran the length of her spine. Slowly, she turned and looked over to the other side of the room, or to be more specific, at the large castle doors, as though half-expecting something or someone to burst through it in an instant. Thankfully, that was not the case... But there were still questions in Celeste's mind.
What was that? Is there someone out there? Have I been found?
Celeste paused for a brief moment to ponder what course of action to take. She considered the possibility of fleeing here and now, but as there was still a short time before she would gain access to her powers, she realised she wouldn't get too far. Could she hide? Well, again, she probably could do that, at least until she would be more able to flee. But what if she was discovered in a hiding space? It wouldn't end well if she was cornered with nowhere to run. No, no, that wouldn't do... but there was another course of action the goddess could take; investigation. Dangerous, yes, but at least it would give her a better idea of what threat lay out there, if any.
Besides...whatever, or whoever, it was might not even be a danger to her.
Taking in a deep breath to calm herself a little, Celeste made her way over to the castle doors and pressed a hand against one of them, gently pushing it open enough for her to slip through before allowing it to close. It was a little cold out here, and a breeze did tease at her smooth, silver hair, but it was of little bother to her. She walked forward a little, coming away from the castle a short distance (not too great a distance, however, that she wouldn't be able to hurry back to it in an emergency) then stopping, looking around. There was something, or someone, out here, she could sense it...she saw faint traces of smoke not too far off, and guessed that was where whatever was out here was located.
"Here goes nothing..." Celeste whispered to herself, before starting to cautiously advance towards the impact site; from where she was, she could not see yet what lay at the crater's centre, or the size of the crater at all, just the smoke coming up from the now dimmed flames.

Arosin's strident landfall, with undesirable trajectory and recent blazed form, charred soil in a straight path. Ignited sparks and patches of flame exhausted into translucent smog. His form remains unblemished by fire, while skin and hair be tarnished by a thin coat of sweat. Singular strands of hair lay flat and naturally curled against his forehead. The angelic individual ascended from the crater's depth, and into the dry terrain. Despite endowed a straight posture and passive resilience, he breathed heavily as trails of smoke faintly departed from his steaming self.
"I could use a cold shower," Arosin complained pathetically in thought of talking to only himself. His voice loud and weary. He gandered the crater, and presented a miniature grin. Arosin began observing his surroundings thoroughly, momentarily focusing on the sky. Dawn to Day; Day to Dusk; and Dusk to Night.
"It is too dangerous for myself to enforce justice during an enemy's full strength." He slid his thumbs of each hand under the leather strap laying to his chest and repositioned it as his hands gripped it further before release, as if stradling himself. Arosin's eyes, upon nightfall, assumed an illumination of tinted teal. It glew, as if a beacon for lost wanderers in the dark. With this beneficial quality, his vision within darkness is enhanced, and after a survey of his surroundings Arosin noticed a humanoid enroute to the impact site. He remained settled, himself directing his eyes and body toward 'it'. The angel crossed his arms over his chest, and poked his hips forward lighlty and in a sassy manner.

When Celeste was able to get a better view of the crater, she became aware of two things. One, there was someone in the centre of the crater, someone that looked to be an angelic being of some sort. That in itself caught the goddess's interest, and also allowed her to be a little less fearful...just a little, though. She was still somewhat wary, but then again, that was quite natural. The second thing she had become aware of...was that she had been spotted. Celeste noticed the angel's posture, and immediately took from that that he was rather confident in his manner. Was he hostile? He...didn't seem to be, which was reassuring, but then again you could hardly ever tell just from first impressions how someone would act.
She came to a halt, not too far away, taking a moment to work out what her next action should be. However, as she stood there, she became aware of something else. The moon had become visible now, and though the stars weren't out yet, they would undoubtedly be out soon. The time was right and, as happened each and every night, Celeste's divine power awakened inside her...in full view of the stranger, something she had hoped wouldn't have happened.
The light around her flickered in an odd way, and then proceeded to form itself into what looked like...well, they looked like the kind of light one would see from an aurora, but protruded from her shoulder-blades, and while not solid, it was obvious what purpose the light served. These were wings. Ethereal, spectral wings. Stretching out gracefully behind Celeste, she made the decision to approach the newcomer. He had seen what she was now, if he was able to guess what she was from this. There was no use hiding it now, and she did have access to her power if necessary now.
Taking flight, she glided quietly over to the crater in which the angel was stood. She landed a few feet away, allowing a 'safe' distance between them in case anything bad happened. Settling, she bowed her head briefly in a polite, respectful gesture, in contrast to his apparent sassiness. "Apologies for intruding on you." she greeted him, quietly. "But, then again...I was here first. I didn't think this world would see other visitors any time soon."
((It's fine. ^_^))

Probability of the feminine humanoid noticing Arosin momentarily lingering in silence during unusually thorough examination of her features is high. Nonchalantly, Arosin's teal tinted illuminated eyes fixated onto regions of the feminine being that classify her to being a woman. Eventually, their eyes met whether she bestowed exact onto him.
"As Darkness consumes... it seems you bloom." He spoke, addressed by his deep, monotone voice. While maintaining his posture, he swayed his hips in favor to his left. "You bring yourself before me upon my arrival, as I approach during the strengthening of Corruption's minions." Arosin tilted his head in favor of his right at an angle of slight degree. "Why is that?"
A faint, meager grin appeared against his left cheek. "I could have slain you, though I doubt someone representing a nymph rather than being one would be much of a threat. Consider yourself fortunate that I favored mercy tonight; however," descending his arms to his side, "I require hospitality." He began to approach the female, ignoring the disconcerting distance that soon became. "What are you able to offer me?"

Celeste maintained a certain level of caution, both listening intently to the stranger and closely observing his movements, watching him for signs of hostility. Thankfully, he didn't seem to be too dangerous so far, but nevertheless she didn't let her guard down just yet. The stranger's tone gave little away to her, and so far he was quite difficult to 'read', as it were. In a way, that was unnerving, but also oddly intriguing. Not that she actually said that, though.
The goddess saw the angelic stranger starting to close the distance between them. The slight invasion of her personal space made her a little uncomfortable; when he got a little too close, she took a step back without really thinking about it. For the moment, however, she did not flee. His request for hospitality, however, seemed to be a fairly reasonable one, thus she thought for a few moments ts before speaking up again.
"It depends on exactly what kind of hospitality you were thinking of, sir, if you would be so kind as to clarify, " she replied, politely. "If you require temporary residence, then there's always the old castle I've been residing in. If you require my assistance in some other way, then I could help you out."
((It's ok. Happens to all of us.))

Arosin, upon comprehending her incentive for presenting meager worrisome, ceased movement. A few steps divide himself and the feminine 'Nymph', itself questionable though overall appropriate.
"Darkness is empowered during a moon's reign, so I shall refrain myself from carrying out its annihilation until dawn." Arosin spoke, tone cocky and arrogant. "With that addressed, my curiosity toward your abrupt approach of yourself and your inner... power." His eyes lay firm to her own set. "Are you a minion of Corruption? A wielder of Darkness?" The masculine angel positioned his hands to the sides of his abdomen, right above the waist. "If I were to accurately assume, then you are just a strange nymph."
White, feather engulfed wings extend outward fluently. They reclined and jutted out in a flap several times before returning to their sheathed state. "At least mine are real." Arosin mumbled loudly, itself humorous.
"I accept your generosity, and will follow you to said residence."

Celeste continued to listen carefully to him, also observing him closely. Though a few of the things he had said confused her, it seemed he wasn't hostile or dangerous... Not to her, at the very least, which was of some reassurance to her nervous mind. Her aurora-like wings still flowed out behind her, poised ready for flight if need be.
His questions to her in regards to whether or not she wielded or served Darkness, however, caused her some annoyance. Did she really look like a servant of the Darkness to him? It was when he made the remark about his wings being real, implying that hers were not, though, that the annoyance for her turned into outright offense. She was still willing to show him to the castle, but he was starting to get on her nerves somewhat.
"It's this way, " Celeste said, turning her back and taking a few steps as though to lead him to the place, then stopped and looked over her shoulder. She spoke a little more firmly than before.
"Just for the record, I am not a servant of Darkness, nor will I ever be," she went on. "And I'm certainly not a mere 'nymph'... I'm more than that. Oh, and one more thing..." Without further warning, she flexed her unique wings and took flight, flying quickly and landing about 20 meters away, looking back with a faint smirk on her lips.
"These ARE real," she concluded, waiting for him now.

"My priorities lay on important matters, and the attempt for myself to prove you wrong... is, fortunately, barely worth the air I exhaust." The angelic individual abruptly addressed. Arosin sprouted a hint of energy usage to catch up upon the female's leap. He swayed his broad shoulders on each step, though less exaggeratedly.
"I might as well be informed of my hostess' name," aligning himself shoulder to shoulder to her though at half arm distance apart, "and continue on with introducing myself." Arosin kept his eyes straight forward, only rare on occasion will he 'gander' at his traveling companion.

A great deal of Celeste's wariness of this new acquaintance had become replaced by annoyance; though he wasn't of any danger to her, it seemed, his way of acting and speaking to her wasn't something that she appreciated. Nevertheless, she kept her inner thoughts to herself for the moment, and continued to walk slowly towards the old castle with him.
"My name is Celeste," the goddess proceeded to introduce herself, without looking over at him. She pause for a brief moment before continuing to speak. "If it was my full title you were looking for, though, sir...well, that's Celeste Parthenia, Goddess of the Night Sky." Once again, she fell silent, as though to allow her new acquaintance to process what she had just informed him. Folks tended to have quite drastic and varied reactions to being informed that she was a goddess. She wondered how this angelic stranger would react.

"Oh?" Arosin sarcastically responded in an 'ooo'. "Gather around priests and priestesses, for our unworthy selves have been blessed to be in the company of a Goddess." Despite his matured body, voice, and self-righteous personality, Arosin presented a side of immaturity. He continued alongside with Celeste, once only shrugging his right hand against her left shoulder.
"Keep to your ways and get onto yours knees. Kiss her feet and lick the granite she steps on. Eat the dirt and stare at her wings. Worship her while you're at it." Arosin brought his extended arms outward, elbows bent outward to make an arch as if a crescent moon.
"Praise the Moon!" His voice remained slightly monotonous, and kept quiet despite of being a jester.
"You may be a Goddess to these mortals, though my kind would consider you to be a wraith rather than of someone's faith." His eyes closed for a second, himself partially grinning as he shrugged his shoulders.
"I am Arosin." The angelic being spoke in a confident tone.
"I am here to have this world be rid of Darkness and its minions. Though, it is useless to fight in the shade." They were walking in darkness, accompanied by the moonlight.

It was about then when Celeste's levels of annoyance in regards to Arosin's behaviour reached much higher levels; the fingers on her hands twitched subtly, as though she were tempted to slap him. She tried to keep her frustration from her face, but it did show on some level. She was not used to expressing such negative emotion, but here and now, under this acquaintance's annoying influence, she had to admit that she was tempted. His remarks about her comparative weakness in comparison to his kind - that was how she interpreted them, anyway - were of particular annoyance to her.
She did give him credit where it was due, though; he had reacted in a way she had not seen before, so had at least broke that monotony to some degree. Not that she was going to let him have the satisfaction of knowing that. Instead, she remained silent as the stranger introduced himself and his goals.
"An honourable quest indeed, sir," Celeste muttered, with the very faintest traces of sarcasm, much more subtle than the ones he had used. She shrugged, and fell silent for a few moments before speaking up again, in a voice scarcely above a whisper. "I dare say it's a goal I've heard people claim to be aiming for before, but, heck, it's noble nonetheless."
She glanced around, as was a habit of hers; spotting no Heartless or other immediate danger in the vicinity, she continue walking forward. "For some, fighting at night is an inconvenience. For I, it is a distinct reference and advantage. But, as I'm saying this, I've realised you likely don't care much about that, so why I bothered to say it I have no idea."

Arosin, momentarily increasing his pace, attempting to intervene Celeste by positioning himself in her way as if a blockade. After minutes from the night goddess meeting the crash aftermath angel, Arosin's recent condition of: hair slick and unwilling to become flat, body coated by a thin layer of sweat, and eyes unnecessarily bright from a naturally teal tinted glow emitting during dim atmosphere, are less noticeable. The angel lifted his left hand and extended palmside toward Celeste in a weary tone.
"Am I sensing an unusual amount of frustration?" Arosin spoke, in address toward her mildly shifting features through a surprisingly mature tone. Upon straightening his posture, Arosin's eyes ceased from their fixation onto Celeste's eyes and downward toward her waist. Only a few seconds passed before he returned to her eyes.
"If that is the case, then I suppose I should at least try to give another attempt to the... first impression." He tilted his head a bit in favor to his left.
"If you would, your hospitality is most welcome." An unusual smile appeared, awkward and faint. It faded quickly.
