In the middle of an alleyway, a spark of light appeared, rapidly growing into a portal of rapidly-swirling colors. Out of it walked three figures.
The last one to walk through tilted his neck, popping it, as the portal shrunk down into a intense spherical light, flying to hover right next to the tip of the long crystal Keyblade he held. As Prythian dismissed Prism Star, the Keyblade vanishing, he smiled at his two companions. "Perfect landing. This is where I always make my portals to Radiant Garden. There are some restaurants down some streets to the east." He pulled at his robe as best he could, trying with little success to cover up the glowing cracks and holes in his body.
After a while, he gave up, giving both Arin and JessY a sheepish grin. "...we might attract of a bit of attention. Sorry, I really can't help it."

Arin was the second one to walk out of the portal, following behind JessY, and followed by Prythian. Arin looked around the plaza of Radiant Garden, nodding in approval "Pretty smart choice of location, haven't really had any food from here before."
Then, Prythian was talking about possibly attracting attention due to his inability to hide his cracked body. Arin shrugged in response, not really bothered by it "Fine by me, it's not like I'm trying to stay hidden from people, just one person."

Well, she was genuinely impressed. JessY didn't expect a portal, much less one that would be so convenient and plop them down out of sight. Radiant Garden was also a nice touch; she wanted to avoid Traverse Town if she could for a simple but good reason, Twilight Town would've been another viable option, but this worked well enough. Content with the situation, she waited patiently for the others to arrive and then began making her way to a place she always like to stop at while she was here.
They wouldn't get very far without some additional commentary however. "Attention is my middle name, don't sweat it." Despite having an introverted approach to how she normally regarded people, she often dealt with being the center of attention quite well. She was eager to imagine scenarios where people addressed Prythian and then interjecting in amusing ways, possibly at that stranger's expense. Doubted there would be much if any attention, people in this realm were typically used to the peculiar at this point. No one ever questioned her alternate self whenever she was around him, she doubted people would question Prythian's condition. Well, beyond maybe wondering if he was okay.
"Anyway, I had a specialty shop in store - they do pizza, subs and fried stuff like chicken wings. Sound good to everyone?" Typically there was something for everyone at these kinds of shops, thus it was easy to please everyone going. She would be bummed if someone complained, but would offer one or two alternate places regardless. Assuming everyone agreed, they would be there in no time - it wasn't too far from one of the more central areas and be ready to order. Otherwise, there would have to be a mild discussion and then probably end up somewhere.

Prythian nodded. "Sounds good to me. Honestly, I can eat just about anything, regardless. I've never encountered a food I didn't like." Now that he thought about that, it occurred to him that was probably a benefit of being made of fragments from a bunch of different people. They were bound to each have their own preferred diet. Maybe he'd simply inherited all of their likes and therefore liked everything?
Speaking of which, he was going to have to learn how to tap into the knowledge of those 'past lives' at will. He understood their personalities now intimately, but accessing everything they knew was still something he wasn't aware of how to do. It would certainly help to understand everything of magic that the man who'd made his sword did, or learn some of those spells that the sword's destroyer could use! He shook his way out of that train of thought, though, heading back to reality, and smiled at both Arin and JessY. "How about you, Arin?"

Arin shrugged when he was asked what kind of food he preferred, not really caring that much "You're asking a guy who came back from over a decade of being stuck as a heartless, I'm up for anything." He gestured for either Prythian or JessY to go first "Lead the way."

Anyone was down for anything. Perfect. These folks were in for a nice treat since the food at her intended location was second to none in her opinion, at least when it came to the greasier and messier delicacies. Within no time at all, they would be standing in front of Freddy Fazbear's Pizza The Great Crossroads Dining and Take-Out to which JessY would open the door and let them inside. She already knew what she wanted, but she would let them get a head start at gazing at the menu.
After piling in herself, she would get a good look around - the place was mostly empty. At first glance she made sure that a certain somebody who might want to stalk her wasn't here, which he wasn't. Thank goodness. There were a couple people here, the place wasn't completely empty though far from full. There was no one else in line yet. Walking up to the front despite the other two, she called out to the the operator. "Hey there! I'm serving these goons today, so go ahead and give me the usual and bill me for whatever they get too."
It would be a simple transaction. Once they ordered, they would all sit down at a table and have their food in about five minutes, but they were here for more than just eating obviously. "What's next guys? Even if I don't come along for the next leg maybe I have some input that could help," she said sounding very sincere. Without wanting to make any guarantees, she wanted to let them know she still cared about their resolution.

Having ordered some pizza, Prythian pressed his lips together when JessY asked the important question. "Before we find that man who broke our Keyblades, we need to come up with a plan. That means we need to go over what he can do. First things first, we know that he's looking for Keyblade wielders specifically to break their Keyblades... and that happens to be something his sword can do quite easily. Somehow..." Prythian's eyes narrowed just a bit. "...I have the feeling he won't be able to do that again so easily next time."
He shook his head. "...but, rather than test it out, let's just rule out close-range combat except in the worst-case scenario. More difficult said than done. When I fought him, he had incredible speed and strength. In addition to breaking Keyblades, his sword seemed to cut through any solid object I threw at him, including a water spell. However, when I used fire, he backed off. So his sword is incapable of cutting through the immaterial. And when I summoned a crystal golem that should've regenerated from damage... he not only cut through it without issue, it stopped the regeneration."
Prythian sighed. "My only conclusion is that his sword has a powerful enchantment on it. I've never run into something quite like it, only some similar weapons that weren't quite so strong. That was... ah..." He looked sheepish again. "...around the time my fight with him ended, and I wasn't in a position to pay any more attention. Anything to add to what he can do, Arin?"

Arin decided to have a slice of pizza himself, listening to Prythian list every piece of information he gathered from his fight with the old man, and nodding when he mentioned the sword being able to cut through solid objects. Arin even pulled out his sword handles and set them on the table "He cut through my swords like they were butter, and they are made out of a metal that was forged from my own soul."
When Prythian started mentioning what the old man couldn't cut, Arin started getting more intrigued, liking the sound of the fact he couldn't cut through fire "Fire is something I specialize in. And with my better understanding of my dark powers, my fire attacks are going to be more dangerous than ever."
Then, Prythian came to his conclusion, the old man's sword had to have been enchanted, something like what he hasn't seen before. When Prythian asked Arin if he had anything to add, she started scratching his nose nervously "...I...Kinda wasn't analyzing anything about his fighting...The only thing I can really add is the fact that he can create a prison of sorts that was preventing anything from going in or out until the old man managed to shatter my own keyblade. And when he destroyed my keyblade, my armor went along with it. I'm just glad it came back when my keyblade did...Albeit different from the ones I'm used to, the color scheme is different on my pauldron...I haven't even tested to see what my chaos form would produce for dual keyblades yet...But I think you're right Pryth, whatever caused our old keyblades to be broken, these new ones are made of sturdier stuff, the chance of them breaking is less now in my opinion."
He leaned forward and folded his hands together, thinking of ways they could gain the upper hand "But I honestly wouldn't rule out close range just yet. My combat style is more close quarters anyway, if you can cover me from a distance, then we might be able to throw him off just enough to win. And I intend to return the favor for all the keyblade wielders who's keys he's destroyed"

Mostly sitting back and munching on her own special order of chicken fingers glazed in a certain blend of sauces, JessY began to piece together all of the information from their experiences back int he castle and what she was hearing now. Apparently their keyblades were destroyed? That doesn't seem possible, they can be summoned and sheathed at will, wouldn't it just reappear normally? But, if this anti-keyblade whatever person had a 'special enchantment', it could put a seal on an eternal weapon. Fortunately, that's not how her own personal weapon worked.
In fact... "I wouldn't risk it if I were you," the girl chimed in, opening her eyes after swallowing her last bite. "Newly improved or not, it's not smart to clash the same blades and expect different results. You'll have to find another way to fight him. If anything, I can be the most confrontational, my Ability Energy can only be broken by energy of the same frequency, even then, my potential to produce the energy is infinite. I have no additional risk over someone completely unarmed." Her voice was stern but it wasn't harsh. She only wanted to make sure they understood what they were getting involved with, providing an alternate route.
She was pretty certain that, barring extraneous circumstances, she was going on this journey. Worst case scenario, she could call for help. She knew someone that could probably have the whole issue over in an instant, but the costs of involving him... they could definitely do it themselves. What she didn't know is that very same individual was making short-handed and sudden plans for her as they spoke, and was probably going to get involuntarily chosen to participate soon. It would all be a matter of timing at this point. It seemed she was safe for now, not that she had any clue otherwise.

Prythian nodded. "While I wouldn't rely too heavily on your own energy being something he can't break... no offense, but that was what I believed about Keyblades, before that fight... I agree that with you on our side, our chances of victory increase greatly. Now, I don't necessarily want to kill him..." The grim look on his face, and the white knuckles of his hand on the table, told somewhat of a different story. "...so the best way to deal with him would be to take away that sword of his and destroy it if necessary. I only have so much time left to me, so I'm going to spend it making sure he doesn't do to anyone else what he 'accidentally' did to me. There's far too much of a chance that others are in the same situation with their Keyblades where their existence relies on it."

Arin looked at JessY when she tried to shy him away from doing any close ranged combat. She posed some good points, but he wasn't going to let that get in the way. He was able to reforge his keyblade once, he'll reforge it again and again if he had to "I'm not a magic specialist. I can only cast a few spells at a time before I need to recover, and I'm not going to just sit by while you and Prythian make a plan without me involved. And no offense, but if your forged energy weapons are anything like the old man's, you're likely going to end up with the same result as my swords."
Then, Prythian chimed in as well, pretty much supporting his statements indirectly, and then commenting on how he didn't want to kill the old man, and simply take away his weapon "Well I never said anything about wanting to kill him. When I said I wanted to pay him back, I plan to shatter his sword into splinters."

Upon hearing the other's uninformed criticism about her weapon, JessY narrowed her eyes, then closed them and tilted her head down. It wasn't their fault they didn't know how her own strange apparatus worked, though even JessY was unsure about things on some unique levels. This would definitely be a test of their claims concerning whether or not her own Ability Energy's rules of destruction are true. She was confident that what she had was nothing like Keyblades, however. Even so, there was one detail they weren't aware of.
"Hey, not to be stubborn or anything, but my weapon isn't a static set of energy, it's a generator. It's linked neurotically to my brain, and produces a hyper-malleable psychokinetic polymer - so even if he manages to find a way to break whatever I have produced, there will always be more where that came from." Well, that's one misconception down. Probably infinitely many more to go concerning minor, negligible details concerning the strange girl, but that was one she felt the need to clarify here and now.
There was this notion of avoiding a kill, as well. Why would they care too much if he was alive or not? Sure, JessY wasn't one to kill others herself, but if he came down to the villain's life or any of theirs, it would be his with no hesitation. "No guarantees on sparing his life, sweetie. I'm not an advocate of unnecessary death, sure, but I won't hesitate on doing what's necessary if it came down to it." This was especially true if she needed to summon her backup. That guy would be dead in less than ten seconds flat. Well, she hoped it would never have to come down to that anyway. It would depend on what this guy was capable of. It sounded like he had magic up his sleeve along with having a crazy-enchanted weapon of some sorts.
Leaning forward and resting her elbows, JessY figured perhaps this encounter needed to be slightly more organized. "So, from what I can tell, we don't have a lot of range options, so why not go in for a full force attack? I doubt he can block three skilled fighters at once while also being able to fight back. It's slightly barbaric but effective." And, if this wasn't the best option, maybe it would prompt someone else to have a better once.

Prythian chewed thoughtfully as his pizza, eyes staring off into the distance as he tried to imagine the fight. Based on everything he'd heard... with a swallow, he nodded. "Full force. Given that you're the only one that's likely to be able to fight him head-on without too much risk, JessY... Arin, you and I will need to serve mainly as distractions. He's going to want to go after our Keyblades, but with two targets, it'll be more difficult for him to get to them, even with that cage you mentioned. I'll make a huge nuisance out of myself, as I can throw multiple attacks at him at range, plus my flight will allow me to get in and out without much problem."
He glanced at Arin. "You might have to be bait, if you don't have many ranged options. I'll try and get him to focus on me, but if he gets tired of trying to pin me down and goes for you, that's when JessY can leap in and hit him as hard as possible to get him to drop that sword." His eyes turned to JessY. "Does that sound like a plan to both of you?"
((Not that this matters if we can't get Xand to show back up again. :V))

Arin listened to JessY try defending herself, boasting that her power was linked to her brain. Arin rolled his eyes and ate his own slice, chewing apathetically "Yeah, because nothing's more fun than letting someone destroy your mental state by breaking weapons linked to your mind..."
Then, as surprising as it was, Prythian was siding with JessY, suggesting that Arin merely be bait, since his ranged options were very limited. Arin, not one to be treated as an accessory, didn't like the idea "Hey, I'm fighting him whether I'm bait or not! You might want to keep a distance from him just because he broke our keyblades, but not me. This guy is threatening the balance between light and darkness by doing what he's doing, and I'm not going to just sit by and be a tool to give someone else an advantage against the old man!"

Seems the two keyblading big shots were going to play the equivalent of the buzzing flies. Seemed fine, she could focus better that way, but with her array of attacks and defenses she always thought she was better for the head-on role maybe, but with the risks being weighted as heavily as they were, perhaps she couldn't complain. If those two were to lose their keyblades again after all of that, well, that would be quite the downer. She didn't doubt that it could happen honestly.
JessY was about to agree with everything, but 'best friend ever' decided to chime in with a rather charged remark. Seemed he didn't understand how her weapon worked at all. Maybe he was ignorant or maybe he wasn't the greatest at logical processing, but JessY really wasn't in the mood to keep correcting him. In response, she simply held her head down and slapped her forehead with the middle of her palm. "You got it all wrong, but whatever." She let her arm fall back down.
Even better still, Arin went on about his feelings for the fight to which she chortled pretty heavily at, but suppressed the following laughter and covered her mouth with her hand. Of course, she wasn't going to get away with that too easily, might as well speak what's on her mind now. "My bad, but your cheesy dramatic lines are just fantastic. No offense." Sure, she was motivated to help these two, but a balance of light and darkness? She wasn't the type to believe in such a thing, or at least take it seriously. It did remind her of something though, right after she got back to Prythian. "Anyway yeah, I'm down. I'll axe his arm if I have to, just sayin'." And now to ask a very important question to a very important person.
'Hey dick-face, ever heard of a sword that destroys keyblades?' The girl closed her eyes, but her lips didn't move and nobody in the current room wouldn't be able to hear a thing. Though, in this state she would be a bit tuned out from the conversation at hand should it progress. 'Hello to you too, twinkle-tits. Actually I have.' A simple, monotone and unenthusiastic voice entered her head. Perfect. 'Cool. Just two things, one, say they keybearers got their shit back somehow, can it get broken again? Also is Ability Energy safe?' Rather straightforward and brash questions, but it seemed whoever was on the other line was perfectly capable. 'I've never seen a keyblade come back. Your energy should be fine but I haven't tested it,' the voice replied, in the same boring monotone. 'Thanks.'
Opening her eyes again, hopefully the conversation hasn't picked up too much while she tuned out for a couple seconds. She was... half paying attention maybe but if they were staring at her funny that could be a problem.

Prythian gave Arin what could only be described as a look. "Do you honestly think I'm comfortable with the thought of playing bait myself?" He spoke slowly and steadily, with a tension just barely veiled in his tone. "What that man did has condemned me to, quite literally, falling apart. If it was possible... I would take my Keyblade and cripple him so that he could never lift up a weapon ever again. But the point remains that if he breaks my new Keyblade, I will not only be able to do nothing to him, the only reason he has to fight me will be gone. Two Keyblades. Two reasons for him to stay."
After a brief moment of giving Arin an intense stare, Prythian looked away giving a small smile. "Besides, you're not the primary person acting as bait. I am. My flight gives me the best chance at drawing his attention while avoiding his attacks."

Arin stared back at Prythian, not really phased by his intense stare. He started talking about how he would rather make it so that the man couldn't lift a weapon ever again, and how if he broke his second keyblade, he wouldn't have a reason to keep fighting.
Then, he started claiming that he was the one primarily acting as bait, trusting his ability to fly to give him an edge at maintaining the old man's attention while also dodging his attacks. Fed up with arguing and getting nowhere, Arin just shrugged and kept eating his pizza.
"Whatever, as long as we can take this guy down..."

Tuning back in, it seems she hadn't missed much. Just the boys settling things the way they do. It wasn't like she could talk, being in their shoes once, but she was glad she was beyond that stage in life. There were some benefits to a certain someone's lifestyle she wasn't so inclined to believe in, she had to give him credit for not caring one bit about... well anything about himself, really. She felt pretty similar, but simply could not give it up completely. It was a fault of being human, unfortunately.
All she really heard was bait, even if she was the one being thrown into the ring she wouldn't really care, so she mindlessly agreed with whatever Arin was so bitter about reluctantly resigned with. "Bait's only part of the art of fishing, there's also the hook, some technique, something about dicks, and most importantly of all knowing where to fish. Anyone have any clue how we're finding the guy? Because seriously." It might have not been the most eloquent way to express herself, but it really hit the nail on the head with the current biggest problem. They seemed to be prepared enough which begged the question 'why wait!?', but without a valid location it seemed they still had some work to do (not that this was going to be easy in the first place).

Prythian held up one finger as he started to say something... paused... and then visibly drooped, dropping his hand and sighing. "I have no idea where to start. All we know is that he's hunting Keyblades, so he'll go wherever he thinks he can find people with them" After a moment of dejected chewing on his pizza, he stopped, eyes widening. After a bit of hasty swallowing, he grinned. "But once we find him, he'll chase us wherever we go... and I think I know the best place to fight him. There's a world I ran into a while ago... though a bit torn up, it has fields of powerless Keyblades just scattered around, stabbed into the ground. Plenty of wide-open space and completely lifeless, so no need to worry about collateral damage."

Arin's brows furrowed when Prythian mentioned fields of lifeless keyblades, knowing all too well the place that he spoke of. "The keyblade graveyard...What's left of the keyblade war...Never thought I'd be going back there..." He took a bite of the pizza slice he had, already halfway finished with it by now
"Okay, so we know where the battle's gonna happen. So, what do we do to get the old man's attention? There are countless worlds out there that he could be in, and we have no idea where he could be."
