Kairi was learning under Master Yen Sid, various attacks and ways to utilize the light inside her were taught to her, along with some magical spells, she preferred these to attacking with her keyblade and seemed pretty good at it at that. But at a certain point in learning her teacher asked her to go to another world to complete her training in magic. "There is another magic user of great power living in the Radiant Gardens. His name is Merlin, should you seek him out you will complete your education in magic. "But Master Yen Sid, how would I get there?" She asked curiously. He slowly moved his hand over the table in front of him before a Star shard magically appeared. "Now go, I told him you were coming." She nodded and picked it up before walking out of the room.
When she finally arrived in Radiant Garden she looked around, curious of where she was, the ground under her was stone and she saw a closed gate which on the other side she could see houses. She walked up to the gate and saw a simple padlock keeping it closed. "Easy." She said before summioning her keyblade and backing up. Suddenly she heard a noise behind her though and she turned to see a few knight heartless behind her. "Hmph, still easy!" She said confidentially, blocking a attack and dodge rolling before pointing her keyblade at one's chest. "Fira!" Fire exlpoded from her keyblade and hit the heartless, destroying it and freeing the heard within... Then about five more appeared, Kairi looked around worried, knowing it would be exhausting to take them out, and near impossible without injury.

"Not while I'm on the job!" a girl with short blonde hair exclaimed quietly to herself, scoping down her rifle. She wouldn't need to warn the girl, she was far enough away from the targets that she was a zero risk variable. Well, as long as she stood still! She looked a tad frozen in fear from the slight picture of overwhelming anyways anyway. No worries, not even two whole seconds before the mobs popped up was her rifle already trained on the one closest to the girl.
Bang! Well, it wasn't the loudest gunshot really, but it wouldn't go unheard for sure. Having a rifle meant for range is was naturally a little quieter than normal guns but by no means silent. Without any other warning there was a soft 'thbft' of impact and the soldier closest to Kairi staggered a bunch. The sniper anticipated this, holding off additional shots until its fall-path was made clear. Lining up once more... Bang bang! two more soft impacts and the Heartless was gone. "Bingo! Chew on that yah stinker!"
The other soldiers seemed pretty confused, making them easy picking. Taking aim at the second-closest, the angle and stance of the creature made it a fantastic target. Giving a gentle squeeze to the trigger of her rifle three more times dropping another soldier after the third hit. The sniper would give a slight pause here, if the other girl resumed her own method of combat she would have to be much more careful about her aim, otherwise she would keep lining them up and knocking them down from atop the nearby wall.

Kairi was about to retreat when suddenly she heard something moving really fast and the closest heartless stagger. "Huh..?" She thought looking all around for the vigilante before another heartless tried to attack her. She quickly turned and hit it with her keyblade, she noticed the shots stop for a second and she rolled away from the heartless at a safe distance. She watched most of them being picked off effortlessly by whoever or whatever was helping her before she grinned and held her keyblade in both hands and pointed it at the last few of them. "Light!" A bright beam of energy left her keyblade and destroyed them easily, she panted afterwards but stood up and looked around, glad someone was there and that no more were coming. She pointed her keyblade at the lock on the gate and a small beam of light unlocked it so she could leave the bailey. "Hello?" She asked afterwards as she looked around again for whoever it was, definitely hoping they did not decide to attack her as well.

Rekka Garnette totted her new tan, wide brimmed top hat. It had been a while since she had been here, her old home. Things had changed greatly since she had last been here. Back then, Rekka had been struggling to take care of her then ailing mother. Since meeting her new friend now best friend, Amber, Rekka moved with her mother to Cornelia. Her mom had made a swift recovery thanks to the medicine that Rekka had gotten for her when she had become one of the world's soldiers there.
The adventures they partook in had been quite...thrilling. Honestly, Rekka was glad the adventures were over and yet, not quite. Here she was now as she was, wearing a trench coat that reached to about her knees that was also tan in color. She even had brown leather boots that almost reached to her knees. The irony that instead of being anything else, she chose to travel and write down stories as a means to honor her late friend. Granted, an oddball friend but one that she'd never forget. If it weren't for Bartimaeus, Rekka would have been dead instead.
As she stood there, examining herself in a mirror in one of the shops, ignoring the white eye patch over the eye she was missing because of treachery there was the sound of something going on outside. Her only eye seemed to light up a bit at the thought of catching another story to scribble down in the pages of a copy of Bartimaeus's book. Orion had insisted she take the real one but she made him keep the real one, insisting that Orion had history with Bartimaeus before she knew him. Orion eventually relented, Rekka promising to visit and relay what stories she gathered during her travels, here she was with a copy of the old bard's book he traveled with. Yes, a bard...that was a storyteller. Rekka couldn't sing but she relayed what stories she could into the book she had. Honestly, Rekka never really got over their friend's death. She still blamed herself for what happened.
Hearing the noise, Rekka stepped out of the shop and looked around. Book in hand, she headed for the source of the noise. The shops hadn't been that far from the homes as it was. As she neared the source, the commotion had ceased. "Shoot! I missed it, didn't I?" Rekka said aloud to herself. She was nearing the gates when she said it.
"Aw well, I'll find something some other time." Rekka let out a bit of a sigh. She didn't notice that there was someone else on the other side of the gates just yet.

She finally spotted on a nearby wall the person who helped her, though she could not see them that well. She was about to yell thank you but then she heard someone behind her on the other side of the gate. "Oh hey there!" She said before she made her keyblade disappear. "Do you know where Merlin lives?" She asked curiously, guessing by what she heard that the other girl had something to do with the news in Radiant Garden. She smiled and started to walk towards it, glancing behind at whoever was on the wall, wondering if they would come down.
// I do not mean to go out of character in-thread if that is not allowed here, but seeing that some canon characters that are in this story, like Merlin. Do not have people controlling them. Could I?

[OOC: yes, you may got out of character; and you already NPC'd Yen Sid, what's stopping you now? ;P]
They wouldn't really have to do much wondering in all honesty, once the threat was dispatched Officer Candy stood up and clenched the air in victory. "Another citizen saved!" Of course, no one would be able to hear her from all the way out here, but that's where things would change. Whoever that other girl was had a keyblade and was pretty decent at holding her own! Didn't seem like anyone else would be coming up for a while and her shift was nearly over anyway, might as well go down and say hi!
Without much effort but with so much grace, she slipped herself from the ledge of the wall and landed on the ground in T-form and eyes closed, the rifle vertically in her right arm. She brought it up and propped it on her shoulder, so the barrel was pointed up and behind her slightly. As she drew closer, its details could definitely be made out. In fact, it looked like it was made entirely of... various bits of candy! Well, could just be paint, but the texture was... far too unlike an actual firearm. Something had to be off.
As she walked, another person had approached as well, probably after hearing the gun shots. Everything would be explained in time! However, first thing's first. Now only a few steps away and definitely in conversation range, completely interrupting whatever was already said. "Merlin? Not sure! You handled yourself pretty nicely out there!" Well, that was a quick change of subject. Then the girl let the rifle slip to the side as she let it down with her right hand and cranked the bolt-action with her left, popping out an unused bullet with the shell in-tact, catching it and bringing it to her mouth in order to take a big bite off the candy corn bullet leaving only the caramel shell. It wouldn't take her long to chew and swallow.
"I might know a guy who knows a guy though!" She seemed to pick up right where the Merlin conversation was going, albeit disjointedly and awkwardly, but she seemed to pay no attention to the strange ordering of her words. To which, she put the rest of the bullet in her mouth but had to soften it first before she could chew it down. "Oh! Want one?" she asked, mouth half-full of candy and bringing her freed hand to the action of her rifle, prepared to pop out another round. "Anyone?" She looked between the two of them, her face completely seriously about offering them a rifle round, not even aware of how strange that might've seemed.

(OOC: Apologies for the wait!)
Rekka gave a bit of a start when the sound of another girl's voice pulled her out of her thoughts. Since the gates were on her blind side, seeing as she was wearing an eyepatch, Rekka didn't see Kairi there. As she looked over at her, she could see that she was on the opposite side of the gates. No wonder she hadn't really seen her. The gates weren't easy to peer through for someone like herself. After all, where it was easy to see for those with two eyes, Rekka only had just the one and it was sometimes hard to peer at things clustered and see everything.
"Oh, sorry! I couldn't see you there. Hello!" Rekka greeted the girl. It was strange though talking to her from the other side of the gates. Rekka looked up at the gates right as Kairi was asking her about someone by the name of Merlin.
"Let me get these gates out from between us first! Kinda rude to just leave these closed in your face." As Rekka looked at the lock, she inspected it for a moment before pulling out a lockpick, picking it and opening it. "There we go! Padlocks, never a good means of keeping things locked up when it comes to the handy dandy lockpicks."
"You said Merlin? Hm....I've not seen him but I certainly have heard of him. I've been trying to find him myself, if only for a good short story to write about." Yes, Rekka very much sounded like a news reporter. In reality, she had just taken on the job of storytelling in place of Bartimaeus. Unlike him, however, she'd not be able to sing it.
Just as Rekka had finished saying what she did, or rather, during the last part of what she said had been said another lady had arrived on the scene. Rekka looked over at her curiously. Was she...chewing on bullets? Rekka, confusedly, decided it would be rude to deny what the other was offering so she held on her hand with a bit of a smile.
"Yes, please. I would like to have one, if you will. By the way, my name is Rekka. Storyteller extraordinaire! Nice to meet you two!" As she said this, Rekka gave a polite bow to them, taking off her hat to them as she placed it over her breast in the bow.

Kairi looked quizzical at why the other girl picked the lock with a toothpick when she had already unlocked it with her keyblade but said nothing. She smiled when the girl came down and stared just a little too long at her gun made of candy, and then was offered a bullet also made of sweets. She tried to me polite but then a voice inside her seemed to be eavesdropping and her soft voice said with surprise "Is the gun itself edible too!?" And Kairi had a short fit of giggles, forgetting that the others could not hear Namine as well.
"Sure, Ill have one." She said happily to the friendly locals, yet she slumped a little when neither of them knew where Merlin was, but she was curious about the candy-wielders source. When one of them introduced themself she decided to do so as well. "I'm Kairi." She said, seeing Rekka bow and awkwardly wondering if she should as well. She turned away from them for a second and her jaw dropped at what she had a clear view of behind her, Villains Vale. "Wait a second. Isn't this Radiant Garden?" She asked, not knowing that this world and Hollow Bastion were one and the same. "That explains the heartless." She heard Namine say.

Oh. Right. Introductions. She was the worst at telling people her name, it just never occurred to her that people might need a title in which to reference her not in the third person with. "Candy! Er, Officer Candy, really," she said followed by a stern yet playful salute. Nice delivery there hun, people are totally going to think you actually told them your name and not just randomly shouted a type of edible substance. Regardless of whether or not the others seemed to understand what she meant, she would proceed with the offerings, which she was pleasantly surprised about actually. A lot of people normally aren't the fondest of eating her candy, but she had a one-hundred percent participation rate today!? Score!
"And! Two caramel candy corn rounds comin' up!" Officer Candy twisted her rifle back down and pulled on the action again, releasing another bullet which she swiftly swiped in the air and caught, bringing her hand back to the action in the same fluid motion to pop it again and catch the second bullet in the same way. She held them out facing the directions of the others and would give them a minute to grab them before retracting her hand. "Looks like we an adventure on our hands!" She really didn't waste any time with transitions in her conversations. "Looking for Merlin sounds like it could be-- auwgh!" The Candyomancer cut herself off mid-sentence as she tried to produce another bullet from the action, but the mechanism merely clicked on and off. Seems the clip was empty.
That didn't seem to be a problem though. "Empty. Oh well." Slamming her hand to the side of the action, the empty clip fell the ground and plopped over. Then she took the rifle horizontally in both hands and brought her knee up, slamming it down and snapping the barrel clean off. She let the hand with the barrel fall to her side but remained gripping it, and brought the other end where the barrel snapped to her face and took a big bite. This is not normally possible for a firearm but it was a good thing that her action was just delicious and sugary chocolate cupcake with a very intricate and complex molding to still operate as a fully functional apparatus to chamber and ignite bullets as any firearm would. "Yeah, sounds like it could be fun." Without missing a beat, either.

(OOC: I had not seen that Kairi had actually unlocked the gate, just that she had pointed her keyblade at the lock lol. My apologies anyway!) The officer that arrived on the scene called herself, Candy. Well, considering she was eating her own ammunition, that seemed sensible. Rekka had never seen anything like it though. This was a first for her.
Rekka guessed she looked like an oddball but she didn't care. It meant she was living on her friend's legacy as if she were him so she was doing his part well. As she stood there, the woman with the candy weapon had handed them each a bullet. A candy bullet, to be exact. Rekka examined it in wonder. It really did look like candy. Plopping it into her mouth, Rekk's eyebrows raised. Yes, this most certainly was edible.
"Thank you, Candy!" Rekka had thanked the candy gun eating lady. Wait, if she was eating her gun didn't that mean she was weaponless? Rekka was puzzled. She looked over at the girl she met earlier. Her name was Kairi. "Nice to meet you both."
Candy mentioned that they had an adventure on their hands and Rekka nodded. "That we do." Even now, she glanced ahead of them toward the houses wondering where Merlin could be hiding. Well, not so much as hiding but where was he living was the question. It was rumored that he lived here. Then, Kairi had asked if this was Radiant Garden.
"Yes, it is. It also goes by the name of Hollow Bastian but people have been calling it Radiant Garden again."

Kairi nodded and quickly adapted to this information, before suddenly being handed a candy bullet. She looked at it with an eyebrow raised before bringing it up to her mouth and taking a bite out of it, immediately afterwards she cutely grinned at the sweet, sweet.... Ammunition. She was not even phased when the other girls name was Candy. Kairi did not know if that was a first name... Possibly a last name since she preceded it with officer. It did not really matter, it was the most fitting name ever. "Nice to meet you Officer Candy." She said nicely until... She started to eat.... The gun.... "I... Uh... I mean...." "Something wrong?" She teasing asked internally to Namine. "... Is she really going to eat her whole weapon?" Kairi kept her laughter in, already adjusting to the different company well. She learned it was something you had to learn to do when you go to different worlds. "Adventure?" She asked covering her almost-giggle smile with a hand softly. "Well... Let's go ask around." She said happily to her new friends. She also wanted to get away from where heartless were spawning a minutes ago but hey no one else minded it seemed, Candy still seemed to be finishing her delicious weapon. Kairi happily ate the rest of the bullet in her hand.

(OOC: Goodbye. I've decided to write myself out because of issues I would rather not discuss and did not want to be the third wheel in the way.)
Rekka looked between them and lightly shook her head. "I apologize but I cannot join you. I have to leave. See you two around!" Rekka stated. With that, she took her leave by tossing a bean before her, which made a popping noise to produce a portal. Waving at them, Rekka turned and exited through the portal with it closing behind her as she left.

Seemed everyone was having a good time, and best of all no one was going hungry! Unfortunately, the one stranger who joined late won't be joining us, but there was still something important to do. It wouldn't be as fun with just two of them, but they could make something work. For some reason the number two bothered Candy slightly, not that she was consciously aware nor did it have any noticeable effects, but there was a distinct feeling that a third would've made a slight difference. Oh well. "Well, bye! Don't turn into a skeleton!" It was her way of saying 'don't go hungry', in a much more creative way. She was always worried about people's hunger for some reason.
"Alright. Kairi. You and me." Candy took another bite from the action after a quick verbal prod for the other girl's attention. She would finish chewing and swallow before continuing, which was weird because her manners regarding eating normally didn't exist; not that Kairi would know that. "We're going to the guy that might know guys. Maybe they know guys too. And girls, I guess, but Merlin sounds like a guy. Omigosh, is he a guy!?" Panicking slightly, she brought the action to her gun and took three huge bites and stuffed her mouth absolutely full. The cupcake action was no more, leaving the stock and scope in one hand and the barrel in the other.
She would chew furiously and be unable to move until Kairi clarified things for her, but once she assured the candyomancer that she was initially correct about Merlin, it wouldn't be long before she would be able to swallow the massive bites she took and cheerfully start moving forward as if nothing was amiss in the first place.

She waved as the news reporter left before turning right back to Officer Candy, at this point ignoring anything that Namine was saying because she seemed to be having a hard time with a lot of things that were going on. "Yes, so where do they live?" She asked before giggling at her question. "Yes, Merlin's a guy." She said, at least knowing that nothing would be boring while she was hanging out with Candy She tried to adapt to her.. Eating of her weapon. Okay she had to ask it. "How are you going to handle any more heartless if you just ate your weapon?" She asked curiously, not even mentioning how she was able to get the whole thing down so quickly and effortlessly. She walked towards the fence where Rekka was standing, hoping they could walk while talking now that Candy was finished with her.. "food".

Hearing the confirmation of Merlin's gender, Officer Candy slumped and sighed heavily in relief. "Crisis averted!" she said though barely audible and incomprehensible through the mounds of cupcake still stuffed into her face. Realizing that it was probably not a good idea to try any additional uses of her vocal chords in this state, she made an effort to hustle her chewing and give one big gulp to swallow the whole thing at once. Quite impressive, really. It wouldn't be the first time she's done that however.
With that out of the way, seems there was a couple clarifications that needed to be made now that she was free to use her voice again without any fears of choking or being muffled by sugary goodness. "Well, this won't be their house but the guuuuy I'm talking about is probably in a place!" Well, that was specific. She probably pictured something pretty static like a shop or a hangout they frequent but she wasn't the best at realizing that other people couldn't see what she saw. "And Heartless? Well, I'd just fix this one probably! I mean, that would be horrifying if eating my candy meant that I couldn't reproduce it anymore!" It would probably help to include the detail about how she was a candyomancer and spawning any variety of treats was as easy as snapping her fingers.
But of course, the delusional girl would just go on a tangent instead. "Luckily that's not the case! I mean, this is like the forty-thousand five hundred and sixty seventh time I've eaten it! My favorite part is the cupcake, always, but it really depends on what I'm in the mood for." She seemed to be looking around after that last statement, like she lost something. Looking down at her left hand though, she found what used to be the barrel of her rifle, and then her eyes lit up. "Liiiike... green-apple lollipop! Perfect! Just what I was craving!" She brought the barrel up and began sucking on it, but after a second she pulled it out and had a distasteful look on her face.
"Ah! What was I thinking!? kiwi-flavored? Bleh, oh well. I'll deal." She started sucking on it right away again, seemingly enjoying it despite her previous comment. In fact she seemed so happy she could probably burst into song and dance at any moment! ...Luckily that wouldn't be the case. They continued walking, approaching what looked like a small business district. It was rather barren, but it had a lot of open space. The perfect formula for an unsolicited encounter... or it could just be no one was out shopping here today.

"I'm getting a word stuck in my head for some reason." "What is it?" "Diabetes." "What's that?" "I don't know." After her brief mental conversation and letting everything that Candy said sink in, she came up with a question. "So, is your friend in this district?" She asked, not knowing the area well and after walking past the fence seeing houses and such below. A red nocturne appeared and she summoned her keyblade before smacking the weak heartless with it, making it disappear. She smiled and turned to Candy then, at this point relying on getting to know her better once she met someone that knew her. Because Kairi could not understand anything the way she placed her words. She heard a very light commotion below but did not register it as something important.

They walked further down the path mostly in silence, eventually the young girl inquiring into the nature of their journey. It was only natural as nothing exciting was really happening, so why not strike up some more chatter to pass the time? Seemed like a perfectly good idea. The strange candyomancer was only a quarter through her gun's barrel anyway. After biting off a small piece to melt in her mouth as she talked, she was good to respond.
"Umm! Yeah? I don't know. I mean you could even ask whether or not we're friends, you know? I know him and so I imagine he knows people too! Oh what am I thinking?" She seemed to get excited and then just cut herself off again with a little frustration. "Walking around aimlessly will get us nowhere! I'll just call! What was his number again?" With that, Candy flipped up the stock of her rifle and gently tossed it into the air with a spin, reared her arm back, and then suddenly punched it to pieces though she kept her arm outstretched into the air.
The dust cleared and... she was holding some sort of small rectangular box that looked like a compact gingerbread house with all the trimmings; gum drops, frosting... it was super colorful too! As she brought her arm back she moved it toward her ear and flipped it open, revealing that it was indeed a cell phone. How? That was a story for another day but it seemed there was no end to this girl's surprises. For example, she brought it to her ear, stood there for a few seconds, and then realized she never typed in a number.
Well that's embarrassing. "...Oh! Right! His number... Hmm..." she stuck her tongue out as though she were focusing on a delicate task and pressed some of the face buttons and tried listening to her phone again. "Oops, no pizza today, thank you!" She quickly recoiled and pressed end. "Gross, pizza. Uh." She dialed another number. Her face became wide with shock, followed by an even quicker recoil. "I think that was a charity! They can't have my money! One more try..." She dialed again. It rang. "Oh! Hey! It's me! ...No not that one. No. No. No. No. No... For gosh sakes it's Officer Candy! NO YOU'RE NOT UNDER ARREST! I need to-- for goodness sakes, calm down. ...uh huh. I'm looking for Merlin. Yes, well-- wait. Wait. Wait just a second. That's him!? You're kidding! ...Right. Gotcha. No you're not under arr-- No, no no! None of that either! What do you mean 'am I single'-- I don't have time for this. Tell your mom I said hi!" Candy gracefully hung up the phone.
After shuffling her feet for a few seconds and then slowly looking at Kairi with an awkward smile, she began to speak. "I uh... Apparently knew him this whole time! Kind of. Or I knew of him. I don't know." Looking away, Candy teetered on her toes for another couple seconds before finishing this awkward conversation. "Let's go!" Suddenly, all of her enthusiasm came back, where she began jogging lightly with her arms outstretched (phone in one hand, the three quarters of her rifle barrel in the other) and made airplane noises as she shifted gears and running down a different path further into Radiant Garden.

Kairi saw all of these events unfold with... Her brain restarting. It was really hard to handle all of the impossible and weird things that have already occurred since she met the candy mancer. All she knew now was that she was following Candy to some place where she would possibly finally see Merlin. While she was following her, the red haired princess suddenly realised something that was happening behind them, a girl wearing a white jacket just chased a Moggle into the baily. Kairi just heard "Stop touching my pompom! Kupo." and rolled her eyes before continuing on, this was turning out to be a much more exciting place than Sora said, then again the most exciting stories he had were about some computer world here, strange. Anyways she followed behind Candy, watching her as she pretended to be an airplane, smiling and trying not to giggle. "So.. Where are we going? You already knew him?" She asked curiously, at least glad she had not had any heartless problems then their original one. And now Kairi was reflecting on how Candy was the same girl who beat most of them.

The whole airplane imitation would go on for quite a while in the duration of the two's travels. Kairi would even ask where they were going and if she already knew Merlin. Yeah, those would go completely unanswered for a few minutes at least, if other girl in pink said anything at all actually it would seem like Candy was ignoring her. Not true, everything was on there, just in a separate thread. Her currently assigned brainpower wasn't fully exhausted yet and it could go on for a while yet. You'd wonder how someone could be so content acting like an airplane for so long, but then again, who could explain anything about Officer Candy.
Finally she stopped mid 'flight' and froze in place, arms still outstretched and almost mid-stride, and stopped making noises entirely. A few seconds would pass before she suddenly snapped to attention and looked at Kairi with eyes wider than ever before. A few more seconds, and she would start laughing hysterically. She would have to calm down before saying anything constructive however. She tried to sputter out a few words but it only made her laugh harder at times. Eventually she took a deep breath.
"Uh, yeah! Well, not personally, but I knew of him. Old guy with robes and a beard and stuff. Right?" Proceeding her acknowledgment of Kairi's concerns from forever ago, Candy winked at her. Of course, without skipping a beat, she moved right along. "As for where we're going? No clue! I was just stirring up some motivation!" Candy flexed her arm, then spun around and did a cute pose with the backs of her hands underneath her chin. She giggled a little. A few seconds later, a realization dawned on her. "...Oh. You probably wanted to go to Merlin's house. Right. Uhh." She lost her composure slightly.
Looking around frantically, she looked rather upset, like something was completely amiss. She looked back at Kairi with a nervous smile and rubbed the back of her head and started to sweat profusely. What was she going to do in a situation like this? She really messed up this time, the girl was depending on her and she blew it! How was she going to tell her that she lead them in the complete opposite direction of where Merlin's place was? It would now take twice as long to get there! Would Kairi ever forgive her? Candy continued to stare and fidget about, unsure of how to describe what had happened.
