... to say goodbye.
I don't know when I'll be coming back, but I do know this: I won't forget this place.
In 2009, twelve year old me joined this website. I had gained some experience in writing, but I was still pretty poor. I came here, and managed through the creation of my first KHRPF character. I knew very little about the Kingdom Hearts games, and my first walkthrough watching was of Re:Chain of Memories. Eventually I learned more and more through extensive research so I'd stop being a bonehead of a writer within the universe and I was always open to unexpected randomness. I've made friends and watched them go these past years and because of what was required on the forum, I became a better writer and roleplayer. This forum will be part of my childhood, and is the largest part of my writing experience.
I've known both sides of the rules system. I once made a mistake around the time of being a poor writer. But I learned from it, and later, I moderated and made decisions on issues that arose. I had a habit of checking with fellow staff members, but that was because I wanted to be as perfect as possible, and to be someone others could be proud of. Not to mention other staff members were well-versed in other media that I had little to no knowledge of.
*This place is a learning experience. You must learn to cooperate with complete strangers, employ strategy, and to be creative. Horizons must be expanded and bonds have to be made. This is a place where one can find happiness, excitement and friendship.
Six years later, I'm soon to realize my dream as a published writer of my own original works. I've been able to break out of a long-standing depression. And I indeed, have finally, played a Kingdom Hearts game of my own. I know now, that wherever I may go, my heart still is connected with those I've contacted here. My memories here will remain important, and I will think of each and every one of you.
I want to stay, but I've gotta take flight now. I can't be active, because I need to attend my life in the real world. I love you all and I'll miss you very much. The rocking chair's free until I return.
