About the Character
Due to her upbringing, never leaving the castle of Lancaster, Faye is what you would call the typical spoiled brat sort. She's self centered, complains about every slight thing and gets mad when she doesn't have her way. Of course, when other royals or guests are about, she shows her manners and can be polite but she only does it because she has to. Her father and servant would likely get upset with her. However, if anyone is rude toward her first then all bets are off and Faye soon forgets her manners...much to the king's and her servant's chagrin.
If Faye wants something, she will try to ask for it first. However, if the person tells her no then she will beg like a little child and if that doesn't get her what she wants, she throws a tantrum. If the tantrum doesn't work when the person isn't looking she is likely to try and sneak off with whatever it is that she wants. As you might have guessed Faye's personality is rather childish. She barely has any interaction with those that live in her kingdom aside from servants and fellow royals. Most of which either were just as bratty as she was or thought of themselves as mightier than she was because of her childish ways. On top of it, her father is very protective of her and tends to give her anything that she wants so she assumes that she can get whatever she wants. If it weren't for the servant her father has appointed to her, Faye would be much worse than she currently is. Right now, she's still quite a handful and is still rather bratty. She is what others may think of as a lost cause.
Faye is very possessive of the things she has even if she barely even uses them or cares for them. If someone were to take something of her's from her, Faye will get upset over it because of her greed. She will search endlessly for that one thing if she thinks it has gone missing then, once she finds it, she will soon forget about it because it's still there and even though she went through such lengths to find it never cared much about it anyway. As you can see, she has a lot of what others would call growing up to do before she ends up taking over the kingdom.
Faye is also very ignorant of what the real world is like. She has never had to suffer in life, save for the death of her mother, so she doesn't understand much about the evils in life. She has never learned what suffering, poverty and the like really are. If she were to step outside into the city around her kingdom or beyond, Faye would not understand anything and end up in a lot of trouble if she didn't have someone watching over her. Outside her home, Faye is virtually useless. Where she knows how to run a kingdom, with that being drilled into her head from when she was young, Faye's not good when it comes to normal, outside life. In a crowd, Faye would stand out like a sore thumb.
Faye is also pure of mind. She doesn't understand or know anything about "the birds and the bees" and will likely become very confused if asked about it. Another reason why when she's out in public, if she ever is, she has to be watched closely since she is so naive and could easily be taken advantage of.
In all of the negatives of her personality, Faye does have some good characteristics to her personality. She has a bit of a caring side when it comes to those she's around often. If she thinks they are neglecting their health for her sake, she will tell them to take care of themselves and forget about her until they are well or have tended to their health first. In this case, she can be rather stubborn. In fact, all around, she is a stubborn individual when she doesn't want to do something or wants someone else to do something.
As of late, she has become tired of the castle she lives in. After a kidnapping attempt, where the kidnappers had gotten her outside of the castle but she was found again and brought back, the king hasn't ever let her outside the castle grounds anymore locking her up. What friends she had as a child are mostly gone, save for one who now serves as her servant. Due to becoming bored with the castle life, Faye has tried many times to escape it. Her energy and personality have made her a very difficult individual to look after. Which is why many servants have retired or quit during the time they spent looking after her, save for her current servant who seems to be the only one capable of keeping up with her and even being a step ahead of her. Much to her dismay.
Faye, despite her childish antics, respects this particular servant. He is her childhood friend, Lucian Laurence. It's because of him that she has learned how to handle herself in a fight if the need be. Outside of battle, anything else Faye is quite clumsy. When she gets hurt, she has a habit of crying over tiny injuries. In fact, when she's insulted or thinks someone's being mean to her, she will sometimes start crying since she can be very sensitive at times. Of course, she can defend herself verbally and sometimes able to withstand some insulting or others being mean toward her just not all the time.
Faye is also anything but what one would expect from a princess. She is only one by blood and appearance. Outside of that, Faye is basically a tomboy in a dress. During the rare moments when she is allowed outside in the courtyard, she is likely to get dirty whether it's her or her dress. She will even tear her long dress to make it into a makeshift skirt if she deems it too hot outside as well or take off her shoes and run around barefoot.
Faye stands at about five feet and five inches of height. Her weight is about only 118 pounds. Due to the fact that the castle tends to only feed her healthy food because of her father's previously terrible eating habits, Faye is rather slim and trim. For the most part, she is as fragile as she looks. However, there is tone to her arms but only because she had been forced to train with the sword and other means to protect herself in the event that she has to.
She has long, straight blond hair that reaches to about the end of her lower back. Upon her head, she wears a silver tiara decorated with three black diamonds on it. One in the very center as the most prominent piece. Faye also has dark blue eyes.
For her usual attire, Faye is often seen wearing long dresses that reach to her ankles. Normally, she's seen in the blue one in the reference link provided below with white colored dress shoes with and inch and a half heels (she can't walk on anything higher!). Wrapped about her neck is her late mother's necklace. It's very special to Faye and if anything were to happen to it, she would be devastated.
Character Position: Heroine
1. Swordsmanship: Passive. Faye was forced to undergo training to defend herself. Also, due to her many failed escape attempts too, her skills with the sword have improved and she's a decent fighter with a sword in battle.
2. Hand-to-Hand Combat: Passive. Faye also knows how to fight hand-to-hand combat. Granted, she still doesn't know to beat the person who taught her but she can certainly handle herself when unarmed.
3. Pure Energy: Faye was born with a rare ability that her royal bloodline has. It's an uncontrollable energy that even Faye can't comprehend on how to control it. What abilities she is known to have are the following and just those. If any new ones arise, updates shall be in order.
- Energy Blast: Faye is currently presenting this ability whilst the others remain dormant since she cannot control her powers just yet. She has a habit of sneezing or being startled, when she does, the immediate area around her explodes. Of course, it's not that terrible of a blast since its not been known to kill but it certainly has a habit of startling the hell out of others around her and singing people. If anyone were caught in one of these blasts, they would survive with minor to moderate damage. The blast reaches six feet all around her. She can't control this so it's rare that she's able to rely on this in battle. If she were, she'd only be able to do it once in battle per battle and by accident since she normally either sneezes or is startled when she uses it. So as to prevent this from being auto-cast, warning signs would be a green aura surrounding her when she starts showing signs of getting ready to sneeze or when she's startled. Will ask for permission from fellow roleplayers before using this.
More abilities to come via updates~!
Plain Sword: Nothing special to it, just a sword she uses for self defense. Can easily be broken.
- Very assertive
- Can lead a kingdom
- Can fight with a sword and hand to hand
- Not a trained warrior and can be easily overpowered by someone more experienced
- Has no special powers
- Virtually useless when by herself in the outside world or worlds and doesn't know how to survive on her own
King Alfred Lancaster III: Faye's father and the king of Lancaster. The king dotes over his only daughter and child. Since she's the only one, he often spoils her. Knowing that it can't be good for her as an individual, he has assigned Lucian Laurence to tend to her needs and even given him the authority like that of a parent over Faye. The death of his wife and the kidnapping attempt on Faye has made him overly protective of her. This is why he has kept her mainly in the castle and hasn't allowed her anywhere outside of it. He has been known to do rash things if he thinks his daughter's safety is in question or deems someone has kidnapped her.
Queen Amelia Welsh-Lancaster: Faye's mother and late queen of Lancaster. Unfortunately, she has passed away due to illness when Faye was just eight years of age. Faye sometimes laments her mother's death.
Lucian Laurence: Faye's childhood friend. He is now technically her only friend even though he's now the servant her father has assigned to her to tend to her care. Since Lucian has taken the role of caretaker and parental figure, their relationship is often questionable. Often times, Faye will argue with him or throw tantrums when he doesn't let her get her way. Oddly enough, her time with him has made her somewhat better. It remains yet to be seen how she turns out. Faye often throws him for a loop with the things she gets into.
Princess Faye Lancaster was born to King Alfred and Queen Amelia during the late summer in the world of the Enchanted Dominion in the kingdom of Lancaster. As soon as she could walk and talk, Faye was taught on how to act like a lady and the basics of running a kingdom. Of course, not too terribly young, just old enough to learn things and these lessons actually sticking. Faye never really got to see much of the surrounding city of Lancaster's kingdom. However, she did get to see a lot of people coming into the castle and leaving. She had made a few friends with the children of servants, knights or guards of the palace. Her best friend, however, was Lucian Laurence.
When Faye turned seven years old, Queen Amelia fell ill with a mysterious illness. She suffered for a year before finally succumbing to her illness and passing away during the night. It had been a sad day for the royal family. Since Faye's father never married anyone else Faye was the only child and therefore the only heir to the throne of Lancaster. Her mother's death had caused the relationship between Alfred and Faye to only grow. It's because of this that her father has become overly protective of her and resorted to spoiling her terribly.
A good scare unsettled the kingdom of Lancaster when Faye was kidnapped. The kidnappers didn't get very far, however. The royal knights set out and soon overcame the kidnappers and slayed them. Unfortunately, this event had caused Faye's father to become all the more protective and resulted in his resolve to keep her locked away in the castle for the majority of her life. Knowing that he can't always spoil his daughter since it may cause her to grow into a terrible individual and one unable to take care of herself, he has resorted to letting the servants tend to her every need without much of his influence.
Of course, never having left the castle nor having a mother to help correct her whilst a doting father spoiled her, it was only inevitable that Faye would act that way. A spoiled brat is what she became and as a result, she was very unruly. Faye had lost most of her friends growing up, save for one. Due to her unruly nature, Faye had caused many servants to retire or quit altogether. All because none of them could keep up with her. The only one that had been able to keep up with her and had even been a step ahead of her was Lucian Laurence, her former best friend that had only been known now as a childhood friend of her's. Having known him, Faye wanted to keep a friend still. When her father made to switch servants on her, after letting Lucian spend some time to show what he could do as a servant by watching over Faye, Faye refused and insisted on keeping Lucian. Seeing as Lucian was great with Faye, King Alfred permitted him to attend to Faye's needs and even serve as a parental figure to his daughter despite them being close in age.
Thus, so began Faye's life with Lucian Laurence as her butler and parental figure. It was odd for Faye since she wasn't accustomed to her friend treating her the way he did. A lot of arguing ensued, Faye showing her bratty side as always and yet, Lucian always remained steadfast and didn't let Faye get away with anything. Oddly enough, because of it, Faye's behavior has become better over the years compared to how she used to be. Even still, she needs discipline and often times, needs to be taught a lesson. Faye's still terrible but not as bad as she was. It still remains yet to be seen how she'll turn out.
"Oh, for heaven's sake!" Faye whined. It was one of her most recent ploys to try and wheedle her butler, Lucian, into giving her some sweets. All of her schemes always ended in failure. Why didn't she just give up? Faye really wasn't the sort to give up easily. Not without a huge fuss and right now, she was feeling pretty fussy. She gave a huff as she placed her hands on her hips, frowning openly at the turned back of her friend. Yes, Lucian was her friend despite being her butler. Where she was stubborn, Lucian always was just one step ahead of her. At every turn, he foiled whatever plans she had in mind. Right now, he seemed to be ignoring her. Choosing to pay attention to cleaning with his back turned to her.
"I just want one single BonBon! Just one! Why won't you let me? It's not like I'm going to blow up from just one teeny tiny treat!" Faye shamelessly begged.
Once again, she received nothing but stoic silence in response. It were as if she wasn't even there to begin with. Faye narrowed her eyes dangerously at her butler's turned back and crossed her arms. He was so darn lucky that he was the butler that had been hired by her father to tend to her care personally, as well as her bodyguard. Otherwise, he would have been fired a long time ago. Faye didn't have that power to fire him. That and she had also caused all of this. She was the one to blame for it. If she hadn't insisted, her father wouldn't have put Lucian in this position and they wouldn't be dealing with one another anymore. Despite how angry he made her, Faye appreciated having a friend. It made her time being cooped up in the castle more bearable.
