Welcome to a small infinitely-possible RP thread where you express some creativity to play a little game outlined in the scenario below: [Scroll to HOW TO PLAY THE GAME to skip the scenario]
You're in the talent hall while you wait in line with all the other entertainment acts until you're pronounced by a generic guard to enter the king's courtroom. The talent hall is a seemingly endless hallway with all kinds of entrances from all kinds of worlds. It is a large rectangular structure of stone, but it's lined with a majestic red carpet arrowed with gold ribbons of fabric pointing toward the large MAHOGANY door. At the door, there are two guards in shining silver armor, a visor covering their eyes, the rest of their face rather open (except their faces look all the same). The guards around the entire castle all look the same, actually.
Once pronounced to enter, you make your way to the courtroom. Upon entering, you see this room is large in size with beautiful tiles of ascending shades of light gray to dark gray along the standard stone castle walls, and an elevated throne at the end. But this is after you walk through the grand, gold-trimmed MAHOGANY doors! This room isn't quite a plain empty box with a king at the end, however.
Besides the structure of the courtroom, there are a few important setting features. At the end of a room, is a large stone block under an ornate throne, with a very bored and depressed looking King. His eyes are squinted, his face is slanted down, and it seems he has a few age spots. His elbow is on the rest of the throne and his face is planted sideways. To the throne's left and right of the throne, standing on the floor, are two guards in silver armor, plated with blue-tinted titanium and gold materials, looking fancier and upper class than the rest of the guards.
And while the room is a perfect rectangle, the side walls contain two very simple oak doors, put together with basic iron bars, each door having two of the regular guards attending them.
To the right is the Room of Props, where every single physical (and sometimes nonphysical) object obtainable in the known (and perhaps not-so-known) universe can be conjured with just a simple request, as the servant guard will quickly and efficient retrieve it (and set up if necessary) without you lifting a finger. They never seem to get a single prop wrong, as if they were reading your mind.
On the left is the Room of Shadows. Whenever the 'entertainment' at hand needs a distinct change of scenery that simple props can't manage, this door is opened and the magic simply pours in making the room appear however it needs to be as if the rules of the universe no longer existed. The courtroom will revert to whatever state it was before the door was opened whenever the guards are instructed to close it (which is done verbally and it always happens, even though whatever guards and doors around the room originally may have vanished).
With that being said, the King seems to want to be entertained, and the entrant can do whatever he or she or they want to entertain him. Why, would you ask? Well, he is simply the most influential king of the multiverse, and grants many things that others needs to those who please him. Though if you fail to entertain him, that large silver level reaching near his arm with a shiny red knob at the end would (possibly) trigger a conveniently placed opening in the floor, sending the presenter down a long chute where... We'll say that the bodies stack like legos... or have the entrant suffer a similar fate.
With that, good luck!
[HOW TO PLAY THE GAME:
-Pick a character or a logical group of characters. Can be anyone, original or canon, from any canon, from any media (games, shows, anime, etc). You can even use someone who's performed before!
-Have them enter the courtroom and do whatever to try and entertain the king using whatever scene/background and props you want. However, you must use future tense {Or, describe what your character intends to do during the whole performance} when describing your characters actions, as the King ultimately decides if you succeed or not!
-I will write a reply addressing each individual performance one by one!
-Send in another character and make up another performance! It goes on forever~
RULES OF THIS GAME!
1: You may NOT control ANY aspect of the King or the two head guards by his sides. Not how they move, react, facial expressions, sighs, ANYTHING. That is all me. You MAY control any generic guards out of the prop room or Room of Shadows to do any bidding.
2: You may not TOUCH the King or two head guards with anything during your performance.
3: You may not double post, or post twice per update. An "update" is whenever I post the King's judgment. Basically, for every post I make, you may make ONE.
4: More than one person can post between updates. A person throwing in a character directly after another will treat the courtroom as if it was completely empty and ready for a new performance, and the character has completely no knowledge of the performance before them.
5: Everything I say is final.
6: You may have control a back story during each of your posts. In example, a certain organization aware of this setup continuously sends a character each update.
7: You MAY re-use characters. You cannot send the same character twice per update, but no matter a character's fate, you may use them again for future updates. If I decide a character is overused, I may ban them from play for a while.
8: For your performance, you will only write what your character will be attempting to do. If you have a large, multiple-step performance, you may implement the successful completion of some of the beginning parts, but ultimately, the point of topic is for the King deciding how your performance will work out and the King's reaction.
With that... GOOD LUCK.]
