Conrí simply nodded, taking in as much of Tori's explanation as he could, politely eating at his soup and sipping at his coffee every now and then. When she brought up the advantage he'd have in battle, should she try to be reading his memories, he stared at his sandwich sadly. Chiseko chimed every now and then, and Conrí chuckled slightly at Tori's comebacks. He tapped a finger on the table for a minute or two. I'd protect you. He thought this very seriously, not caring if she peeked or not. A few seconds is also just enough time to make a decision to save someone else.
Fenrir chuckled at this. Like with your world, eh? You really can be dull for a human.
That light in the last few moments before I got here could have done something.
Conrí finished his soup and gulped at his coffee. He looked at his sandwich and noticed it had been cut in half. "Here." He handed half to Tori. "I ordered too much, anyway." He smiled for a moment and thought about trying to explain it to Tori.
"A druid is basically a mage here, and," he fell silent, unsure about how to explain spirits to her, "it might be easier if I just show you." The boy reached for her hand, even though he knew it wasn't necessary for them to touch for the girl to view his memories. He focused on one memory in particular. The first time he'd entered the spirit realm and saw Fenrir, which was right when he entered his training as a druid. The core of his world bloomed in his mind's eye like a tangled tree. He saw Fenrir there, like he did the first time, as less of a solid wolf and more see-through. Smaller wisps of spirits were around the wolf. The wolf boy let the memory come, settle long enough for Tori to take it all in and share it with him before he let it go.
"Also, according to my knowledge, I think Chiseko might be related to the spirit realm. She's a lot like Fenrir, and, if you can communicate with her, then, you might be closer to a druid than you think." He nodded as though this answer should satisfy them both and took a bite out of the sandwich half that was on his plate.

Tori hummed as she noticed that Conrí was showing her a memory about the spirits he'd been talking about, after grabbing the half he was handing her over.
"Huh... That's rather simple, really" she replied, taking a bite out of the sandwich, and after analyzing his memory, "But..." she chuckled, "I'm not sure if your definition of 'spirit' and mine is the same..." "Well, you're aware of that fact, at least..." Chiseko said, observant. "If I'm to follow your definition of 'spirit', then Chiseko and Fenrir would be the same -in other words, familiars linked by mental bonds, right? Well... That's the difference. Chiseko isn't a Familiar to me, nor linked in any way to me. She's herself, simple as that."

Conrí touched his lip with his finger. "That's not quite right. There are a lot of spirits. Some, like Fenrir, wish to be bound to humans, others are like Chiseko. Spirits usually make up the bulk of my world's trickster stories." He laughed a little at that, remembering when he read the great myths with his father. "So, it's not that all spirits share a bond with us."
He smiled as Tori took his sandwich half. "It's the druid's job to respect and learn from all spirits." He said in a mock-serious tone. "The master was sure to drill that into our heads." Conrí laughed again, remembering how serious the master had been.
"Anyway, why're you so interested about spirits?" It wasn't that the would be wolf king minded, he was legitimately interested in Tori's story. "I don't mind. I'm just curious," he said, taking another bite of his sandwich. You're fascinating to me.
Call me when you've something more interesting to say. Fenrir let out a huff.

Tori thought a while before replying.
"Well... Ask Chiseko" she replied, "I'm just trying to retrieve my memories, surprisingly enough. Aside from that... All I know is from my personal learning." "Why are you dragging me in?!" Chiseko asked, shocked, "I didn't do anything!" "Yeah, actually... You're the one who keeps saying I'm a Spirit. So... Yeah, your deal, not mine. Can you at least make is so he understands you?" "It'd have to be inside an Illusion, and you know I'm not strong enough to make them myself..." "Well, then we've got outselves a problem..." Tori snickered.

Conrí watched the interaction between Tori and Chiseko. The chiming seemed almost annoyed. The wolf boy calmly finished his sandwich while he waited for the exchange to end. He was shocked that Chiseko thought Tori might be a spirit. I mean, yeah, there's something mysterious about you, but, I don't know that I'd outright call her a spirit like that. He rubbed his chin thoughtfully when Tori announced they had a problem.
"What's wrong?" He kept fighting the urge to order something else from the waiter, and, something in him wanted to summon Fenrir.
The waiter quietly slipped the bill between them and bowed slightly.
"Is there somewhere we should go to have this conversation?" Conrí was suddenly aware that the café was becoming busier. "I know there's this old mansion. People might stay away. It might come in handy if I need to enter the spirit realm or something." He laid enough munny down on the table to cover the entire meal and then some without thinking about it.

"No, it's not that" Tori replied, and laid back, "It's just that it'd be easier if Chiseko explained it, since I don't remember, but... You can't exactly hear her, right? Not the way I do."
She took some munny from her pouch, and decided to leave. Chiseko jumped back to her shoulder, and they were going to leave, not before saying their thanks to Conrí.
"I'll be taking a look-see around town" Tori said, "Thanks for the invitation, though. And... Maybe we'll cross paths again? Who knows, really." "Bye, bye!" Chiseko said, waving her chubby arm back and forth. "...Oh, right, before forget" Tori snapped her fingers, as if she recalled something, "Can I ask you something real quick? I'm still experimenting back and forth with my power, and... Would it be okay if you gave me access to your strongest memory?" she asked, eager.

Conrí shook his head. "The wee one just chimes when she seems to talk. At least, that's how I hear it. Fenrir's not answering my question as to whether or not they could communicate." He also rose from his seat. He knew they were leaving soon, and, he, for some reason, didn't want Tori to leave just yet.
The wolf boy opened his mouth to say something more, but caught himself waving at Chiseko when Tori faced him and snapped her fingers suddenly. He listened to what she said, and sucked in a breath. He had a few questions buzzing in his head, but, then decided to test his luck a little. "All right. If you want to see my strongest memory, I'll allow it."
Conrí walked toward Tori and held out his hand to her. "But," he said, taking a breath, "if I'm going to show something precious to you, then, I'd at least like some way to stay in touch or connected to you." He could hear his heart pounding in his ears, and Fenrir also calling him an idiot at the same time. The would be king bowed slightly.
He pressed his palm to hers. "Well, then, if that's all right with you, I can show you my memory." Conrí looked into her eyes and held his gaze there while he waited.

Tori's eyes shone brightly, and smiled.
"Thanks!" she said.
She took a step back, letting go of his palm, and held her hand forward towards him. Soon, a faint mist surrounded both her and Conrí, going around him and returning to her. Tori closed her eyes, and, in a few seconds, opened them back, as a small-sized crystal formed in her palm. That was Conrí's memory made Illusion. In order to ensure that it wouldn't break, Tori quickly moved her palm away, making the crystal dissapear.
"That one was way better that the first one. You're progressing, alright!" Chiseko praised. "Hee hee..." Tori blushed, and looked at Conrí, "So... A means of contact, huh...?" she thought aloud, and frowned a bit, "Honestly... I don't know what exactly I could say about that. Comunicating between worlds is plainly impossible..." she said, "And, well... Unless we're in the same world, we might not see each other again."

Conrí felt sleepy for a little bit, and noticed the crystal in Tori's hand "Whoa. That's what a memory looks like?" As he reached for it, it disappeared. "What happened to it?" The wolf boy cocked his head slightly, and there was a flash of his memory that he'd given Tori, only she was there now. Huh?
Idiot. How are you fixing this one?
Figuring that out. The wolf boy bit his lip, seemingly unfazed by Tori mentioning there were other worlds. He simply nodded to himself. "In that case, take me with you. Or something...so we can meet again for sure. Whatever you have to do to make that work. Please." Conrí's cheeks flushed at his forwardness. He scratched the back of his head nervously.

She tilted her head, and Chiseko suddenly raised her guard.
"Why exactly are you so rushed into keeping contact with me?" Tori asked, and looked uneasy, "If anything, you're scaring me. A lot. And that's never meant a good thing." "Don't you try anything funny with her, you hear?!" Chiseko yelled at Conrí, even though she knew he couldn't hear her. "Listen, Conrí... I don't know why exactly you want us to stay together, but... You gotta get this through your apparently thick skull" Tori continued, "I have somewhere I gotta go back to. Not only that, I wanna see what this place has in store. On my own" she emphasized on that last sentence, "You're a bit clingy if you keep insisting. Has anyone told you that? It's annoying to the person at the other end, and also shows weakness from one self. So I suggest you start controlling it."
With that, she turned around and walked away. Chiseko, still in Tori's shoulder, glared at Conrí at a distance, making sure he wouldn't follow them.
"Tori, don't stop me if he follows" she said, "I won't let him do anything funny to you. Period." "Geesh... I can take care of myself, y'know..." Tori sighed.

Conrí dropped his head slightly. Another flash, and he felt dizzy all of a sudden. "Sorry," he said immediately. "I know that was brash of me, and, I didn't mean to scare you. You're the first friend I've made since I woke up here, so, I got a little--" The wolf boy's vision blurred, and he found himself clutching at his head. "Hey, before you go...have there ever been any side effects to taking memories?"
I told you that you're an idiot. You don't just go giving memories to people.
Yeah, well... Conrí's gaze flicked to Tori. You don't just go asking for someone's memories, either...but...it's done. Right then, Chiseko started furiously chiming. Conrí didn't need a translation for that one. "Relax, Chiseko. I got told no, so, that's that. I won't follow you. I just want to know why Tori's suddenly in that memory I gave her, when I know she wasn't there. There was no way that'd have been possible."
His dizziness finally stopped, and he steadied himself. "Do you think remembering you will work?" Conrí asked in a low voice, more to himself than Tori as she started to leave. "If I don't forget you, then, no matter what world I'm in...it wouldn't be communicating, but...it wouldn't be so forward as me following you around and getting in your way either, hopefully."

Tori was unable to answer Conrí's question, seeing herself in a rush and away from him. As she walked down the way, she looked at the crystal holding Conrí's memory, with some awe.
"Y'know?" she asked Chiseko, "It's the first time it's gone so well... That means I'm progressing, right?" "Yeah. After all, you're remembering about your power and abilities. If this keeps up, then you'll remember everything, no time flat." "I guess... You guys keep pushing me into remembering as fast as possible..." Tori chuckled. "Well... It's necessary to hurry up right now. Because of the Farther Shore. If you don't remember most things, then the Shore will dissapear, and then a lot of memories will go to the outside worlds." "You told me about that once... You said that, if a memory gets to a person's heart, then... It can be dangerous, right?" "Yes. Because that will create a paradox. In other words, that person's heart won't be able to determine which memory belongs to them, and, therefore, they can either make an incident happen, or even destroy the heart itself." "Geesh... I guess you guys do have a reason to be worried..."

Conrí just watched her go, not answering his questions, and, part of him wondered if he should break his promise to her and follow, but he just sighed and shook his head. "Guess if you have that, it means I either got duped and shouldn't trust anyone, or, someday, you can give it back." He said in a low whisper.
That's it? You know I could probably track her.
Let it go, Fenrir. Let's see what else can be done here.
Don't you think you've gotten into enough trouble today, lad?
Conrí sighed and walked over to the postmaster. "Hey, I'm back. If you've work, I'm your guy."
"With that voice, you're bound to scare off my customers."
"So, do you have work or not?"
The post master placed a hand on Conrí's shoulder and made a clicking noise. "You wanna work and not talk, fine, but, I've seen that look before. Why don't you come to my place for the night, instead of that old mansion?"
"Not interesting, but thanks."
The post master huffed and shoved a bag full of mail at the wolf boy, who noticed, with some slight dread, that he might end up running into Tori again faster than he meant to. Gonna go the other route and hope nothing happens. The would be king wondered if the man on the bike thingy would make an appearance again, or, if he'd run into anyone new on his route. He shook his head and hoped Tori was okay. In some ways, she, too, seemed desperate.

Tori and Chiseko walked around the place, getting to know it a bit while also looking for a way to go back to Sakura Island. There were options, yes, but Tori wasn't exactly able to use them, since, due to her lack of memories, she didn't know how to use her powers.
"Hmm... Is there a quick way for someone to remember what they forgot, Chiseko?" Tori asked. "Well... I guess if someone focuses well enough, they might, but... Your case's a bit different, Tori" Chiseko replied "So... We're stuck here until I know how to go back?" "Cheer up, sweetie. It won't take long. I'm sure of it." "Let's hope... I don't want to worry Mei or Neku that much..."
Tori wandered about, comming across a hole in the wall. Curious, she walked past it, ending in some sort of woods. She wandered around, looking for someone that could either help or intrigue her, until she came at the edge of a mansion.
"Woah... This is the biggest house I've seen yet..." Tori let a sigh of awe. "It is quite big... Bigger than the Counsil's Office, I'd say..." Chiseko replied. "It's gotta be bigger than that! Come on, let's check it out!" "I don't see why not... Just being careful is enough, though." "Pfft, that's easy..." Tori snickered. "I'm not so sure about that, but... I'm not you."
Tori noticed the door was locked with lock and key, but she didn't mind much. With a little use of her agility, she grabbed onto the fence, and barely jumped over it. Since it was a bit high, she obviously had a rough fall, but brushed it off, and walked inside.

Conrí finished his deliveries faster than he anticipated. He didn't see Tori or Chiseko anywhere and breathed a small sigh of relief. If he didn't see her, then she couldn't get mad at him again. Fenrir began nagging him to just go back to the mansion. Conrí sighed and muttered that he needed to get his pay for the day first. The wolf boy collected his pay and set his mind on going home.
In a few minutes, he was in the woods, which cleared to reveal the mansion he'd mentioned to Tori earlier. He jumped over the gate without much problem, and then entered the mansion. "I'm home," he whispered to no one. The foyer was empty and still covered in dust. The would be wolf king sighed and started walking up to his room. I just would like a nap.

Tori had made her way to the rooms upstairs, and looked around for anything that looked interesting. Chiseko kept on her shoulder, making sure she wouldn't get in trouble.
"Hey, who do you think lives here?" Tori asked her. "I can't be too sure" the small Spirit replied, "But I'd refrain from unnecessary fighting." "I know, I know..."
The two kept looking around the rooms, and stopped at a pure, white one. Drawings were there, pinned against the wall, and Tori took a closer look at them.
"Hey... Why do these... Feel like memories?" Tori asked Chiseko, a bit uneasy, "I know they're drawings, but..." "Maybe they are memories printed in drawings?" Chiseko replied, "Why don't we take a closer loon?"

The would be wolf king walked toward his room without taking much notice to his surroundings. He knew the townspeople stayed away from this location, though, he wasn't sure why. A familiar chiming caught the wolf boy's ear as he walked down the second floor hallway.
I think we have company.
I know. The boy looked into the white room with the drawings and saw Tori and Chiseko standing in the room. "Oh, hello again. I promise, I didn't follow you." He strolled into the room and tried to hide his own additions to the drawings. Conrí chuckled slightly. "I actually sleep in the next room down," he said, pointing with his hand. "Anyway, the townspeople stay away from here, so, feel free to stay as long as you like."
He turned to exit the room, but felt a strange energy in the room, stopped, and turned to look at the pictures with Tori. "What's with this room? This energy..."

Tori turned back, and smiled uneasy. Hearing Conrí's explanation, she laughed, still uneasy.
"I see... Well, I didn't follow you either" she replied. "You totally did, though. Even if it was unconscious." Chiseko teased. "Oh, shut up, you!" Tori glared at Chiseko.
She turned back to the images, and, almost unconsciously, touched one. Chiseko looked at her, calmly, yet ready to jump in case something happened. Tori's eyes changed to a vivid purple, as she let go of the image.
"Whose... Memories are these...?" she asked aloud, and then looked at Chiseko, "I can't get a name, or anything... Why?" "Maybe because of this room. I thought something like that may have happened" Chiseko replied, "There was someone else here. Someone, who, like you, was able to manipulate the memories of someone and those around them. Maybe that's why you can't tell whose memories these are."

Conrí laughed slightly, somewhat uneasy himself. He accepted that Tori didn't follow him, even though Chiseko seemed to be making some kind of remark. He looked from the picture that Tori touched to her, and noticed her eyes change to purple. Cool.
Not how I would phrase it, but, whatever.yj
The wolf boy also felt the energy suddenly increase and tighten around Tori a little. She seemed to be annoyed at the fact that she couldn't figure out who the artist of the pictures was, and he suddenly felt really tired, so he started walking to his room. The would be king hoped the strange girl wouldn't mess around with the drawings he'd left on the table too much, and allowed his body to slide down the wall of the hall. "What's happening to me?" Conrí wondered out loud. He wished he could hear Chiseko, somehow, but figured now would be an impolite time to ask Tori to help him find a solution to that issue.

Tori shook her head, letting go of it. As her emotions became stable, a memory crossed her mind. She placed a hand on her forehead, groaning a bit.
"Why now...?" she asked, "Another memory I don't recall..." "What is it about?" Chiseko asked, calmly. "Umm..." Tori stood straight back up, "I'm... I'm sitting down, looking at the sea... And then... Someone approaches me, but... I can't remember how that person looks like. I can't remember his face, or anything. He's smiling, though, and petting my head, and we're talking about something... About..." she tried to remembed, but gave up, "Urgh, it's gone..." "A boy? ...Is he small?" "No, at all." "Then... Who? I don't know anyone else aside from Ryo and Dantès. And you barely knew Ryo to begin with, so... Who is it?" Chiseko wondered. "Hell if I know... I wish I had a name..."
Tori sighed, and noticed Conrí had left for his room. Tori looked at the door, somewhat uneasy, but simply sighed, and looked at the drawings, thinking.
