Whatever presence or voice that had creeped into Law's mind had definitely receded just prior to Strax finally returning to the realm of the living. That would prove... troublesome. Charlotte would then immediately burst out of her oom at all of the commotion. "Can't a girl get a little shut eye?! Why is everyone- Strax! You're finally up!" Charlotte started on a tirade before quickly stopping and changing mental gears without a clutch. "How're you feeling?" Charlotte asked curiously- it was impossible to ask before due to the obvious... well actually she could've probably dreamwalked into his mind while he was out to see but there had been other pressing matters- like heartless trying to kill them.

Neku tilted his head, confused. Had he seen someone else? Certainly not. If one sense never failed him, was his sight. As well as the rest of his senses, being a Mercenary trainee and all. He would've definitely seen someone else as soon as he walked in. But he hadn't. Was Law pranking him?
"Uhh... What's with you? Hit your head or somethin'?" he teased, still as confused, "Or maybe you're just daydreamin'... There's no one on deck but us, you dumb---"
Right on queue, Strax stepped in almost immediately after Neku's statement, throwing him for a loop. Then again... Wait, Strax?! Neku was at a loss for words. Charlotte's sudden entrance only made things even more confusing. Now did the wolf-guy decide to wake up?!
"AND WHERE EXACTLY DID YOU WANDER OFF TO? NEVERLAND?!" Neku shouted at Strax, "Your dead weight was the worst thing out of all this problem! And lemme tell ya -I ain't filling you on what's been happening, ya hear?!" Puffing his cheeks, Neku was visibly angry, "You don't freaking fall asleep on us for that long. Period!"
Mei didn't take long in joining, a bit sleepy since she'd taken some rest. The commotion had drawn her towards the room, similar to Charlotte, but had yet to actually get a grip on the current sittuation. And perhaps for the better, really... Introductions were probably the least worrying issue of the moment...

”Uhh…what’s with you? Hit your head or somethin’?” Neku’s comment only caused Law’s eyebrow to raise. He had heard someone, hadn’t he? It seemed so real… Within a moment, the slumbering green-haired warrior emerged from the hallway, having returned from near death after their fight with the Heartless Captain. Racketing off countless questions, Strax staggered into the room, worried and frantic due to the state everything had been in when he went out. Sighing a bit in relief, Law smirked at the man before winking slightly with a chuckle. ”Figured you wouldn’t stay dead forever.” In that regard they were similar now. As if answering one of his many questions, Charlotte emerged into the hall, blazing fury as ever.
Upon seeing Strax, the woman went dumbstruck for a moment before immediately switching back to her caring demeanor. While Neku began to shout out and Mei re-entered the hall beneath the ship’s deck, Law found himself grinning from ear to ear as he stood with his hands on his hips. Well—the whole crew’s back. To break the moment, The Harpy lurched to the side a bit as the howl of wind echoed throughout the ship hull. Cracking lightning and thunder boomed outside around them, faint drip, drip, dripping heard due to water trickling down from the patched floor-boards that crafted the ceiling. ”The storm!” Keeping his balance despite the sudden lurch (years of practice, after all), Law whipped his gaze towards the staircase that led up to the deck.
”Sorry to say—but you’ve got perfect timing.” Law’s tone was grim and his expression stoic. ”We’re on our way back to that very island you faced off against the Captain.” Truly, the pirate did feel slightly bad, as Strax had only awoken to another nightmare (most of which was his fault, but he wasn’t really aware of that fully). Turning to Strax, the pirate took a few steps towards the werewolf before placing a hand on his shoulder, leveling with him. ”We fled, after getting you. The Captain was doing some weird stuff to that island…I couldn’t risk the ship going down when we had already gotten the prize.” For a moment, a flash of regret passed through the pirate’s crystal blue gaze.
”We escaped fine…but everything was different, after. The Heartless have spread to even Port Royal itself, their numbers only increasing. We’re going through the storm now to return to the island, to figure out exactly what the Captain’s done to this world.” Hopefully the summary would suffice, Law presumed that they would be arriving at the island in moments, with how badly the ship was rocking. ”I’ve got to prepare for landing…” For a moment he glanced between Charlotte, Mei and Neku. ”Catch ‘em up on the rest for me, will ya?” With that, Law was off, grabbing his now mostly dry jacket off of the railing and back onto himself. Walking up towards the stairs that led to the deck, the pirate growled and shouted out once seeing the Shadelings, swatting at the nearest as he made his way onto the deck in the pouring rain.
There was no sky. All was black other than the cracking white of lightning, silhouetting the heavy and thick clouds they soared through. Horizontal rain immediately slapped against Law’s bare cheek, though the undead couldn’t feel the cold or wet any longer. He could hear nothing over the howling of the wind. Making his way towards the Pilot’s Perch—a raised platform above the Captain’s Quarters where the steering module rested, Law could make out a large mass in the distance below them. ”The island…” He could hardly hear himself as the storm raged around him. Swirling purple dark swelled amongst the mass that was once an island, shimmering amongst the lightning to display a cracked and destroyed earth consumed by raging tides.
It would be no easy task—what lied ahead.

Strax smiled to Charlotte as she checked on him. "I'm okay. I'll live at least. That fight took a lot out of me. But I'm almost back to full strength." Strax winced at Neku's words. "... do you need a hug Neku? did you miss me that much?" Strax chuckled at Law's words. "Nah Law, it will take a lot more good luck on your part to get rid of me."
Strax slammed against the side of the ship as it lurched in the wind. He growled softly before listening to Law's short response. As Law left the hold he motioned to Charlotte to follow as he stepped out onto the deck. As he came into the open air he inhaled deeply and shifted into his Hybrid werewolf form. He stood at full height before inhaling deeply again. "Begone storm! I don't have the patience for you! Aeroja!" Strax Howled loudly at the storm, forcing the clouds to part with a blast of air, clearing the skies ahead of them.

The Shadelings squeaked and chittered in protest, giving Law a wide berth after he emerged before settling back in. The massive flock from before was still hot on their heels- with more clinging to the underside of the ship. All of their eyes were turned toward their destination with an inhuman hunger.
"Evidently not~ just don't make a habit of it," Charlotte replied warmly to Strax before he headed up after Law. Then Neku exploded on him, making her frown scoldingly. She briefly considered making that more apparent but dismissed it as typical hot bloode youthfulness- not that she considered herself to be old mind you. Who said she did?! She'd deny it to the death! "Let us not dwell on his coma. He is back with us and THAT should make up for it in my opinion, because we're another man up than before when we need it the most," Charlotte said as charismatic and silkily as she could, which given her lineage wasn't too hard. She'd also offer a reassuring smile before following after Strax and Law, now wide awake again. The Shadelings on deck would look at her briefly before returning their gaze toward the island.

"Hmm?" "Huh?"
Both teens weren't able to catch onto much, as the sudden movements caused both of them to lose footing. Mei, still somewhat asleep, had a lot to process at that point, but her body just wasn't pulling her for it. Neku, as he regained his balance, could only hear Law muttering something he didn't quite get at the end, but he could guess. They were getting closer to their goal. With that in mind, the boy steadied his balance and grip, making sure he wouldn't be caught off-guard by the rockings once more.
"For the record, Strax" he said, as he aimed to leave for deck, "I wouldn't miss a sorry ass like you. Keep that in mind before we end up fightin' and having to focus somewhere else, 'kay?"
While the rest seemed to have the same idea, Mei was the only one left down below. Still yawning a bit, too, as she tried to recollect her steps on how she'd gotten there in the first place. As she slow but constant precense of darkness began to grow stronger, however, her senses sharpened immediately, making haste to catch everyone on deck.
"Sorry!" she said, "I think I still need time before I wake up fully..." she added with an uneasy giggle. "I hope that happens soon, 'cause we'll be fightin' before long" Neku reminded.

Law was thankful for the years in the sky under his belt as the ship deck lurched beneath him yet again. Raging winds continued to swell and pound against the small yet durable airship—The Harpy rocking restlessly as it persevered through the pouring rain. Crack! Lightning snapped through the dark, illuminating the ship deck as the crew came above to join Law on deck. For a moment, the pirate’s crystal gaze lingered on the island he saw ahead—or rather, what was left of it. A memory flashed through the undead’s mind, one of a similar visage that spiraled him into this voyage across worlds. How long ago was that? It seemed like a lifetime ago. Yet here he was, witnessing a similar horror unfurl before his very eyes once more. For a moment, worry and panic coursed through the pirate’s body—though it was gone as quick as it came. ”Not this time…” This storm was different. He was different. This was hardly the same.
”Begone storm!” Strax’s voice broke Law out of his memories—forcing the pirate to whip around as the werewolf’s voice boomed over the storm. Summoning a powerful gust of wind with his spell—Strax stood among the deck as what seemed to be a whirlwind erupted around The Harpy. For a brief second, the powerful spell pushed back the harsh rain and thunderous clouds, exposing the night sky for the first time. Above was a glimpsed moon, shining brightly down upon the world shrouded in darkness—surrounded by a canopy of stars that shimmered. It was for that brief second that Law was caught in the light spilling onto the deck. For a moment, the pirate was a visage of horror, a skeletal man with tattered clothing and ragged flesh. Instantly, the storm resumed, the heavy dark clouds smothering the glimpse of night within moments.
Law blinked as suddenly he was returned to his normal human form. Looking down at his own hands, the pirate’s gaze seemed distant. Seems his magic’s nothin’ for the storm… The familiar pounding of rain hitting wood and steel rung through his ears as the rage continued. ”I’m getting us ready for the island!” As the others emerged onto the ship deck to join him and Strax, Law shouted as loud as he could over the cracking lightning and booming thunder, the clatter of rain a steady loud din attempting to mask any sound. ”Stay sharp! This isn’t a normal storm!” He gave the last comment while eyeing Strax. Poor sod’s got no clue what we’re in now… Some things just couldn’t be helped. With a sigh, Law made his way across the deck to the helm of the ship. Rushing up the soaked wooden stairs that led him up to the Pilot’s Nest, Law gripped the soaked ship’s wheel and began to press many of the buttons on the module beside him.
Thankfully gummi technology was weather-resistant, otherwise him and his crew would be crash-landed by now. With steady guidance, Law began to steer the ship lower through the air, towards the shattered dark mass that used to be an island. As they were taken further from the clouds, the rain would become less harsh and severe, though the booming thunder and lightning continued to follow. Raging winds were only calmed slightly, still forcing enough pressure to cause the airship to lurch every now and then. Nearing the shattered islands vicinity, Law grit his teeth as his sharp eyes saw wisping darkness snake its way through the air towards his ship. ”Look out!” Just as the pirate hollered his warning, Heartless emerged on the deck of the ship. Some Shadows merely appeared from the floorboards, while some Air Pirate’s and Rapid Thruster’s appeared in the air above them, swooping down with sharp talons and pointed beaks. Soldiers as well as familiar Hammer Frames appeared in small portals of darkness as well.
”Damned bastards!” Pulling out his gunblade, Law grit his teeth. Hazardous terrain wasn’t something his autopilot feature could handle on its own, he needed to guide The Harpy manually if they were to make their way through the maze of ruins the island had become. Limited due to him having to steer the ship, Law made due by pulling his gunblade from the holster on his thigh. BRRRRAAAAAPPP!!! The semi-automatic gun fired off noisily through the darkness, aimed at the nearest Heartless he could see on the deck. ”Don’t let them mess with my steering!” Law hoped his crew could deal with the command—they were in a tight spot, one wrong move and his beloved airship would crash into one of the many jutting dark masses that used to be habitable world.
Despite their predicament, there was a rush of excitement coursing through Law. Bring it on! At the end of the day, it seemed the hotheaded pirate embraced the idea of a challenge.

Strax was taken aback at seeing Captain Law as an undead. "What ha..." A crack of lightning instantly cut him off mid word as the storm resumed around them. Strax growled quietly. Strax took in Law's words and nodded. Shortly after seeing the heartless appear on deck Strax shook his head. "I really didnt want To have to deal with these things again" As Strax spoke he shifted form to his Hybrid form. He turned to the Hammer frames and smirked. "You guys wanna see a real hammer?" He teleported his warhammer to his hand and swung it at the nearest Hammer Frame, wasting no time. He aimed a heavy slam into the chest portion of the hammer frame hoping to knock it off the side of the ship.

Charlotte was almost used to this song and dance by now, using her wings as an umbrella to keep the rain off of her as much as possible- until more heartless inevitably showed up. The Shadelings seemed to be getting more... vocal too as they started getting closer. She didn't know what darkness smelled like but assumed if they could smell it, THAT was what was making them so chittery. Her previous prediction of more heartless appearing was soon rewarded- it was such a burden being right all of the time she sighed as she extended her claws out. Shadelings bolted, immediately swarming after the aerial attackers as another shot rang off from... somewhere, releasing another ribbon of pale light that targeted a few flying heartless too. As far as she knew this time, Law had nothing to do with that at the moment it happened as he had been busy shooting, AND steering. An impressive feat for sure but if Law wasn't behind it, then they had a stowaway.
Charlotte glanced back toward below decks before shaking it off. She was needed here, and whatever was going on was helping them. Brandishing her claws like thin swords, she waded into a group of enemies on deck, going after the weaker Shadows first. They'd also require the less effort, and would simply be annoying later while dealing with the others. Some stray Shadelings on deck assisted everyone, going for the faces of heartless to hold their attention!

"O-Kay! Have I said that this is getting annoying already?!"
Annoyed to his limits, Neku unsheathed his sword with a frown. Slowly, the battles were boring to him, although one could guess the reasons why. Having to fight hordes of Heartless one after another would surely bore a seasoned fighter like him, not to mention the constant annoyance they were to begin with. Still...
Both teens heard the captain's words, and would abide to them -no matter what, Law was to be kept out of targetting range. Neku taking Heartless head-on with his reckless dash forward, and Mei supporting everyone from the back lines. The two of them together wouldn't be defeated by a little nuisance like that.
"Protect!" Mei chanted her spell onto the entire party, making sure that they'd be able to guard against most damage, "This might look good..." she added, mostly to herself, seeing how everyone was doing their best to fend the Heartless away.
She had to acknowledge Strax's potential, since she hadn't seen it yet. He was strong on his own, that was a given, and Charlotte's attacks weren't lacking in any regard. The Shadelings, plus the attacks from nowhere did unsettle her a bit, causing her to frown.
"Not to mention they're rather... Too active..." she thought to herself, as she focused once more on the battle.

Law grit his teeth as the wheel jerked and attempted to wrest itself from his grip. The rain pummeling down wasn’t aiding the pirate, as the wood and metal steering device was a slippery nuisance. Luckily the years he had spent flying The Harpy gave him an advantage against the winds attempting to tug and yank. What’s going on?! The wind certainly wasn’t normal. Every lurch or tug seemed to be trying to pull them towards the gaping wound amongst the sea that had once been an island. Loud clangs of metal and shouting were mingling with the raging storm around them as the team quickly began to fight the Heartless that had begun swarming the ship. Strax’s attacks against the Hammer Frames sent them hurtling over the side of the airship, falling to their demise far below.
A sudden streak of pale light caught Law’s attention—though it was so fast he hardly was able to catch a glimpse. Multiple flying Heartless had been felled from the attack—but where had it come from? Seeing Charlotte in the air, ripping at Heartless with her long claws, the pirate wondered if she had casted a spell. The woman was full of mysterious magic, after all. Amidst the chaos of the storm, Law also had been eyeing the bizarre Shadelings. They’ve been 'round ever since the heist, too… But they weren’t Heartless? Law had seen multiple times the winged creatures devour the blasted demons that plagued the worlds. But're they friend, or just enemies of our enemies? He couldn’t afford to stay distracted. Shaking off the thoughts, Law managed to avoid a chunk of island hurtling through the storm towards them. With a swift maneuver, the airship glided smoothly past the mass of land—sand and darkness swirling around it as it plummeted through dark skies into raging tides. What had once been an island was now eye-level with them, the mass of darkness swirling among the wreckage threatening the block the very sky from view the closer they got.
”Look out, crew! We’re flying into hell!” With a wicked laugh of excitement, Law charged The Harpy onward, weaving past chunks of floating island and dangerous bolts of lightning hurtling through the air. What few strikes would land would be attracted to the ship’s mirrored hull, deflected and powerless as the blasts would be shot back into the night, damaging any Heartless swarming the hull. The mass of darkness swirling around the remnants of the island were all that would be in view now, a heavy shadow falling over the small airship as they finally cleared most of the debris around the maw of darkness as the rain continued to pound and pour down. The Heartless on board would begin to grow more restless as they grew nearer to the dark—the remaining forces becoming a bit more powerful and fast as the time of entry was nearly upon them. What Soldiers and Shadows were left on deck continued to swarm around Neku, Mei and Strax, supported by what few Air Soldiers or Rapid Thrusters could manage to weave around Charlotte. Some had disappeared completely, none noticing where they had gone off to.
”Shit!” Firing off his gunblade with one hand and steering with the other, Law attempted to finish two Heartless that had managed to slip past the crew. The pair of Soldiers were quick to notice the lone captain stuck to the wheel—hurtling through the air in cyclones towards Law. BRRRAAAAPPP! One of the Soldiers was sent off course by the bullets, plummeting into the wooden deck with a sickening crunch as it stopped moving, though didn't disappear. The other continued on, as though an arrow piercing the distance, its taloned claws gashed into Law’s back. The pirate had managed to move towards the wheel, hugging it close as the attack only narrowly missed. The shreds in the mans jackets would indicate a serious wound—but no blood would spill. In fact, the exposed flesh beneath had already returned to appear normal.
Despite not feeling much pain or sustaining too much damage, it appeared the pirate’s move had jolted the ship slightly. The deck would sway and jolt once more as The Harpy began to slowly veer left, directly towards a mass of island swirling through the air!

Strax lurched with the ship and growled to himself. "Captain, can you fly a little smoother? its hard enough to deal with these guys on stable footing." Strax tried to convey his half-joke as best he could. He let his Warhammer disappear as he summoned the Scylla and Charybdis. He threw the Charybdis above Law and started to channel his psychic through it, causing a large orb force field to appear around him and the wheel. Strax knew he wouldnt be able to use his psychic for anything for as long as he held the force field around law, but he was certain he could make due. Brandishing the Scylla he slashed away at the nearest heartless, stabbing through a nearby Soldier heartless to the deck. He then turned and grabbed another one by the helmet, he roared in its face before his eyes started to glow. "Fire!" Strax's scream seemed to light up before a blast of fire shot from his mouth blasting the body of the soldier to ashes. He turned to pick up his Sword once again and charged the next heartless.

The Heartless weren't the only ones getting restless, The Shadelings likewise were becoming more... darkthirsty- that's not a word is it? Well it is now! Speaking of, more seemed to erupt from the side of the ship in clear view of Charlotte. There had to be a stowaway on the ship! Charlotte was positive at this point because there should be no reason for them to just appear out of the side of the ship! However some heartless seemed to slip by her in her momentary distraction, causing her to swear. She swooped down after them while the new horde of Shadelings seemed to take to the sky under their silent orders. She swiped down with her claws, clearing herself a space to land as Law came under attack.
Well, everyone else seemed to be distracted and she could get to Law the quickest. So she channeled her water geyser spell beneath the heartless that was still standing, snapping her fingers and making a spout of water erupt beneath it's feet and send it hurling overboard. Then she kicked off from the deck and flew upwards toward Law, letting herself drop right down onto the other one before it completely got back to it's feet. This was... starting to feel good again. Is this what her sister felt? Was it just her adrenaline from her fight or flight response? Or was her demonic genes just kicking in? Either way, with a sadistic grin she finished off the squirming Solider with her claws before she tried to regain her composure. Maybe it was also the air.

Too much swaying was really a distraction. After all, both Neku and Mei had to focus on two things at once: making sure the Heartless didn't get to Law, and also maintain their footing. Some lucky Heartless were airborne, and Charlotte could also soar the air with ease. How the rest of the Heartless weren't losing their balance was a mystery better left for later thought.
Right now, getting to where they wanted took priority.
"How in the actual hell are we gonna even land?!" Neku yelled through the storm, "With all this movement, I'm damn sure we'll get nowhere at this rate!" "Guh... Calm down...!" Mei shouted, trying to restore her stance, "There's not much left, anyways...!" "Easy for you to say..."
Making use of the movement, Neku forced his slip into a jump, catching up to one of the Air Soldiers and slashing horizontally before landing back on deck. Mei, still a bit on the rusty side, tried her best to keep up with the others, and making sure she could support them as well. With a strong Holy spell, she aimed to get rid of the enemies on deck which she could, hoping to deal as much damage as she could.
The two teens were noticeable losing their edge. After all, they were the only true human beings there, and stamina was a requirement. Even through all the training they'd gone through, they still had their limits.
And it was apparently getting to that point.

Charlotte’s water spell torrented through the air, colliding with the Soldiers that had made it onto the pilot’s deck. Sighing in relief as the winged woman finished them off and Strax’s psychic barrier appeared—Law focused on returning The Harpy to its original course. Shadelings had burst forth from the side of the ship during all the commotion—a sight Law grimaced at. Tch—those things just keep comin’, too… He still had no idea what the odd bat-like creatures were about. ”Thanks, Charlotte—you too, Strax!” With the psychic barrier up and Charlotte having cleared the deck, the pirate was able to successfully recover his steering, just in time to reel the airship upwards and safely out of course with the landmasses hurtling through the air.
”How in the actual hell are we gonna even land?!” Neku’s shout from the deck caused Law’s head to jerk. Though Mei and Neku were holding their own against the Heartless, it seemed both were slowing down. ”You just leave that to me!” Turning to look at Charlotte over his shoulder, an honest look of concern had come across Law’s face. ”Hey—Charlotte, go help ‘em out, would ya?” Looking above him to the floating Charybdis, Law recovered his usual authoritative captain’s demeanor. ”I’ll be fine now.” The Heartless were thinning out, both due to the shadelings as well as the team.
Now it was his turn to do what was expected of him. The Harpy soared through the rolling storm, weaving between the hurtling masses of land possessed by some darkness. We’re flying into Hell itself… For some reason, Law thought this with more excitement than fear. This time’ll be different! Due to the airships smaller size and mirrored hull, once he was able to focus, Law had no issue avoiding the hazards around them. Already a sense of heavy pressure had began to hang in the air, darkness swirling in masses as the storm raged.
Below them now was the ruined island, fissured and separated between seas of Heartless and darkness. It was a depressing sight, really. To think how much damage could be done to a world…seemingly over night. Gritting his teeth a bit, Law continued to steer The Harpy further in, to where tendrils of darkness snaked across the sea below, pillars of the horrid energy erupting like geysers on and off into the air. On deck, while the others were fighting the Heartless—something odd would happen. The Heartless on board would shudder, almost at once, like a unit, pausing in their attack for only a moment.
Then—suddenly, they would disappear.
”W-what?!” Able to see the deck clearly from his vantage point, Law gaped over the steering wheel as the enemies seemed to just leave. ”RRRRRRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHH!” A single yell—booming like thunder, sending a powerful vibration through the ship as Law felt his joints jolt. In his heart—or whatever was left of one—Law knew where he had heard that yell. ”Shit! Brace yourselves! It seems the Captain’s awake and lively!” Bolstering his own spirits with a haughty laugh, the pirate spun the airship around as he dived towards the sea of darkness and Heartless. He was certain the yell had come from higher up.
”Hold on!” The sudden lurch in height would surely cause some to stumble or even fall over, without holding onto something.

"AH SON OF A-" The last bit of Strax's sentence was cut off by a clap of thunder as he lost his balance. His concentration dropped and so did his shield as he recalled it to himself. He landed on his backside. Gratefully the heartless had removed themselves from the equation and Strax no longer needed to keep the Captain safe.
"Cap, what is our plan of attack for this guy anyway? Head on? Distractions? Some sort of Gummi Desolation Cannon?" Strax groaned as he stood back up. What would happen if the ship was destroyed in the battle? Would they all survive? Strax was certain he would be able to teleport at least himself to safety but he didn't really want to abandon his friends and crew in the process.

Charlotte was pleased in the knowledge that this crew would be doomed without her, and that did wonders for making up for the conditions which were starting to become less and less bothersome. Her sisters would never believe her when she told them what she'd been up to- Especially her baby sister. "Aye aye," Charlotte replied to Law as she sprang out toward the deck with the others, preparing to bring her claws to bare only to have them suddenly vanish. She didn't need to wonder why for very long at the sudden booming roar in the distance. Well, atleast they didn't have to deal with the annoying pests for the time being. This may actually be a good time to double check the lower decks for their stowaway, seeing as having an unknown variable didn't put her mind at ease.
All thoughts of that were quickly thrown overboard metaphorically speaking as the ship suddenly lurched, making her almost fall over into a very undignified position if not for her using her tail to grab onto something for support. He did say to brace themselves- still didn't change the fact it soured her mood further. In any case, the stowaway would have to wait. The Shadelings meanwhile, were having a grand ol time. This must've been an all you can eat buffet for them which brought up the question of where they put it all. Weird scientific inquiries aside, Strax hadn't been told about Neku's friend. "It'll be alright Strax, we have one more person for the captain to contend with, and they use Light Magic," Charlotte tried to assure him. They also had the horde of Shadelings but Mei was a more reliable reason to be hopeful right now.

"Nope! Not dealing with that anytime soon!"
While he said that, Neku didn't exactly mean it the literal way. Thankfully, the Heartless were gone, so both teens could focus on getting their footing back together. Grabbing Mei's hand, Neku took hold of the rail, making sure neither of them would slip off the ship.
Hoping for a somewhat smooth landing, both of them looked at the darkness lurching towards them, the sudden roar scared them, but not to the point that'd make them falter. Mei in particular, although noticeable frightened, had a determined glare under her fears.
If anything, she wanted to help in whatever she could. If it was to erase the darkness in that world, then...
Maybe even using that would be an option, despite her thinking she didn't deserve to.
"Whatever happens... If Neku and the others are with me, then I can do this!" she thought, nodding for reassurance, "We won't fail!"

The Harpy lanced through the raging storm, plummeting in height as it gathered its speed, racing towards the violent waters. Law could hear other members of the crew talking (or shouting), but couldn’t really pay attention to any of it. His focus was solely on the wheel in front of him, the storm around them, and the ship he stood on. Spinning the wheel at a tremendous speed while flipping a few switches on the control panel, Law brought the ship to a sudden lurch as it arced back up, avoiding the waves that lashed up towards the air with impeccable weaves and turns.
They were only a few feet above the water now, speeding towards the destroyed island at an alarming rate. ”RRRRRRRRRAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHH!!!” Lightning crackled as the Captain’s shout rang through the air once more, the light from the bolts sent from clouds illuminating a powerful silhouette. It was almost as though it were a massive ship was flying through the clouds down towards them. Tattered flags seemed to bellow in the breeze on its posts, countless cannons outlined over the horizon, jutting from its massive body.
It was at least ten sizes larger than The Harpy, minimum at that (Law’s ego could only take so much, after all). Only lasting for a brief moment, the silhouette was gone, swarming and massive clouds returning above them. ”Shit! TAKE COVER!” Call it intuition, but Law knew what was coming. Keeping their course sporadic and zig-zagging, the pirate shouted out as cannon fire erupted all over from above. BOOM! BANG! BOOM! Hell rained down as fire and darkness took over the overcast and tormented sky.
Giant balls of fire and darkness were coming at them. Weaving the airship with all his might, Law was only too aware of the destroyed mass of land coming up before them. ”HANG ON!!!” With a sudden fit of inspiration (and desperation), the pirate spun the wheel, causing the airship to spin in the air as it spiraled out of harms way and over the destroyed island. Rocking only slightly upon returning to normal position, The Harpy continued to climb as the roaring of the Captain continued.
CRASH! Waves devoured hell as the pirate managed to avoid the first round of cannon fire. Speeding through the air and breaking through the clouds, the Captain was finally in view. The massive ship seemed like a shadow—pitch black and murky. If one stared closely, they would see tendrils of darkness snaking, forming an outrageous head as the figurehead on the bow of the ship. Yellow eyes raged as a gaping maw jutting with sharp teeth clenched and snatched at the air menacingly. It looked almost like a lion head, but with more draconic features.
Atop the beast-like ship was the Captain, massive in his own right. What had once been man now stood Heartless, the large emblem on his torso exposing him as turned. Still his massive arms held weapons at the ends instead of hands—one forming into a large cannon, the other into a menacing one-sided sword. Standing behind the wheel of the ship, the Captain was fused, darkness snaring around him from the waist down, fastening him to the ‘pilots deck’. ”Get ready!” Shouting to his crew, Law veered his ship, pressing on the firing buttons on his command panel. BANG! The upgraded cannons fired, shooting a powerful force forward into the night as fire and spark erupted.
His roars mixing with the thunder, the Captain’s ship seemed to move on its own—the beast-head that formed the figurehead devouring the first of the cannon blows as though it were nothing. The second hit it square in the face, exploding on impact with a reckoning force. Though The Harpy was small, Law had made sure the two cannons on the ship were strong in their own regard. Some of ‘em will have to board… He couldn’t do it, Law didn’t trust the autopilot feature in a raging storm like this. Glancing among the deck of the ship, between his crew mates, the pirate began to steer the airship towards the Captain, keeping their course while attempting to avoid the worst of the storm.
”Get ready to board!” In order to do that, he had to make sure they got to the ship first. ”If you have any ranged attacks, use ‘em!” Another clap of thunder boomed in the clouds below them, covering the second round of cannon-fire Law released upon the Captain’s ship. The beast figure-head roared out in protest at the pain as both ships began to fly towards each other.

They were getting closer to their objective. Selfish desires of indulgence aside, hopefully they could put things back to normal for this world- it had been their fault in the first place, afterall. But this meant there would be quite a bit of turbiulence on the way, as Law proved before he started taking evasive action against The Captain's vollies. Charllote used her tail to help bind her to something, trying to keep her footing and not get thrown overboard. Shadelings that had perched back on the ship were not so lucky and chittered angrily as they were dislodged, the others turning their attention to the giant ship above and fluttered upwards for their main course.
Then with some more flying they were now within range of The Captain's "ship." Wasn't sure how it managed to look even worse than before but it was. She couldn't see any of the Shadelings from earlier up here but that didn't matter. "Alright, who's ready for some fireworks?" Charlotte called out spreading out her wings, summoning her fireballs and infusing them with extra oomph before hurling them directly at The Captain. The figurehead at the front moving around was concerning but for now wasn't an issue. Charlotte took to the air as another gleaming shot rang out from somewhere lower decks, the ribbon of light zig and zagging as it went for The Figurehead of the ship.
