Player Username: hoodwink
Current Character List: see sig
Random Character Notes : Update to existing character. Only changes will be in the ‘Battle Section’ in order to fit the new damage system [[Beginner <Light <Moderate <Heavy/Max]] ((Sidenote: I made ‘Cure’ a 2 post cooldown instead of 1 because I know with the ‘Curaga’ spell it heals an entire party and user of ALL HP (and Curaza isn’t a thing), so I figured Cure would heal minor instead of beginner, Cura would heal moderate instead of minor, etc. Please let me know if I need to change this))

About the Character
Character Personality: Law always prioritizes his freedom over anything else. Hating restrictions, limitations to his time, or any sort of unnecessary hindrance to him doing whatever he wants, Law’s main problem is with authority. Detesting rules, constructs of ‘right’ or ‘wrong’ and guidelines of any sort, Law lives his life by a specific code: his own. Because of his desire to do as he pleases when he pleases, Law can come off as selfish or self-centered at first glance. Which he is. There ARE redeeming factors, though! For instance, he’ll always be willing to assist someone in need (for a price). He’s also certainly the friendly type, always believing in negotiation (or weaseling out of things) as the best tactic. This isn’t because he doubts his combat abilities (it’s quite the opposite, really) but because he knows where profit lies.
Never lacking in confidence, Law will certainly overestimate himself most times, typically ending up in situations that are more than he can handle. Because of this, he has had to handle adversity of all kinds, adapting and growing with each successful challenge... And drinking with each failure. With low willpower and a history of avoiding emotional problems with substances, Law consistently seeks alcohol to heal any internal wound, rarely opening up or seeking help from others. Because of this, he also doesn’t necessarily enjoy talking with others about their emotions, either.
With a personality like this, it’s hard to imagine the sky pirate fighting for the side of Light… but surprisingly, Law is very adamant in his distaste of the Heartless. In his opinion, they are monsters who cannot be persuaded, bribed, reasoned with or robbed, thus deeming them worthless. Detesting how the monsters can threaten to wipe out his only source of income and treasures, Law has grown a passionate hatred of the dark creatures and any who associate with them. To be clear though, he fights them because he wants to.
Character Appearance: Law stands tall at six feet even. His frame isn’t necessarily large, as his physique is slim but muscular, due to an active lifestyle. He has dirty blonde hair, short and neat on the sides but longer and swept back at the top. On his chin is a patch of facial hair the same color, styled in a ‘slam-poet’ fashion. His skin is very tanned from living a life under the sun and sky, though in his shallow cheeks he will usually have the rosy tint of someone who’s had a cup or two of rum. This normally makes his blue eyes seem a bit brighter than they really are.
Law wears a dark leather bomber pilots jacket, fashioned with an assortment of armor and trinkets. Beneath the jacket is a simple white v-neck t-shirt. On his left shoulder over his jacket is a fastened brass pauldron, small and simple but sturdy. It has a harpy emblem engraved into it. Lower on the same arm under the jacket he wears a thin vambrace made of leather and brass for protection. The last bit of armor he wears is a single gold cuisses, which is latched over his right thigh over his durable black pants. On his feet he wears tall, black polished pilot boots, which go up to his mid-calf, his pants tucked into them. The boots are steel-toed for protection and offense.
Being a pirate, Law does have a weakness for flashy items. Because of this, he has many accessories, such as the brass ear cuff on his right ear with three golden rings to match, as well as a vibrant blue and yellow feather earring in his left. He also wears a luxurious soft blue scarf around his neck, tucked neatly so that enemies or adversaries cannot grab onto it. Around his wrist are three golden bangles, one with a vibrant yellow gemstone in it. On each finger is a different ring, some made of gold, others of brass or even orichalcum. His smile is usually speckled with gold teeth, random in placement and numerous. All of these accessories he won fairly, either through gambling or theft (which is fair, in his opinion).
Character Hobbies/Activities: Law loves gambling and playing ‘games’ of any sort. A non-spoken pleasure of his is cloud watching. Law’s favorite food item is rum.

Cursed Undead- Under the moon, Law will transform to reveal himself as the true undead pirate he is against his will. While exposed to moonlight, Law will look mostly skeletal with decaying flesh and rips and tatters on his wardrobe. During this time, Law will take double damage and is capable of dying. [Duration lasts as long as he is in moonlight][No cooldown]
Character Weapons:
Gunblade- Law fights with a unique weapon from his world of origin, the gunblade. When a sword, its hilt still has the grip of a gun, the trigger forming the guard. Its grip is black with brass and gold plating. The blade is a pitch black, the edge lined with gold. It has a harpy symbol scratched onto the base of the blade, small and crude. When a gun, it appears almost like a pistol with an unusually long barrel, all of which is the brass and gold. ((For more references on how this weapon works, think Lightning’s gunblade from FF, not Squalls.))
Transforming Weapon- Law’s gunblade is a transforming weapon, able to be either a sword or a gun. It is unable to both shoot and be a blade at the same time though. [Limit to one transformation per post]
Bootstraps- Law wears sturdy steel-toed pilot boots. Because of this his kicks are extremely dangerous, as they have an extra weight and durability to them than normal kicks would.

Brass Knuckles- Law wasn’t born yesterday, knowing full well the dangers of having only one weapon, he carries a pair of hefty brass knuckles with him as a backup. He will use these anytime he is disarmed or separated from his gunblade.
Character Summons:
The Harpy- Law summons his faithful airship to his aid. Utilizing its autopilot feature, the pirate ‘pings’ his location to his ship, summoning it above him during a battle. During this time the ship will be able to attack and defend its owner (with the moves listed below) until it is dismissed or takes too much damage. [Duration of 4 posts or until ‘defeated’][Limit to one use per battle]

Character History
Though his original world has no name, it was vast and had an endless sky. With multiple large continents and various islands with vast seas separating them, the place was large and hard to completely see. Well... perhaps for those without airships. With a world full of technology such as cars, radio transmission and trains, it was no surprise that airships were also a vast component of Law's home world. With so many places for there to be trade or commerce, traveling through the skies became essential to sustainability.
Law had no real family growing up, other than those who were also orphaned on the streets. There were orphanages, but most on his world typically ended up sold off or kicked out once getting too old. There had been war, many parents being drafted and losing their lives. Luckily he was too young to even remember who his parents were, what they looked like. Larger cities with swarms of people and tall buildings might make one think adoption rates would be higher. They weren't, as the cost of living in such large cities continued to rise. Not many individuals residing in the cities could afford to adopt.
Being one of many orphaned children, Law had only stayed in the government's care until the age of 10. By then, they had told him it was time to get to work or leave. He had tried the factories for all of two days before losing his temper. Seeking shelter on the streets of a bustling city, the rebellious child had chosen their own path. They always seemed to have their eyes towards the sky, waiting to catch a glimpse of the freedom it held.
It wasn't until he was 14 that Law set foot on the deck of an airship. Having survived many years of hardship and hoodlumry from the city streets, he had finally managed to get work in the port. He was hired as a deckhand on a cargo airship, eager and hungry for more. Within two years he had worked his way from freight shipment to thieving and mercenary work, initially being a deckhand but moving up to assisting the Captain of the ship in most needs.
He was hungry for more. Not wanting to just follow orders and be someone's assistant, Law continued to work hard in order to gain the know-how in order to lead himself. By the time he was 19 he had managed to gather enough resources and learn enough to get himself a small airship. It was modest but his, being only a small boat with two air rotors and one small engine on the back. The deck could only fit 6 people at most, the underbelly being so small it only had two rooms outside of the cannon loading area, of which there were only two cannons on each side. Only one sail marked the sigil of a harpy.
For that was the name of the airship: The Harpy. For the next five years, Law began to sail across the world he had dreamed of seeing, either thieving or selling his blade or (his favorite) treasure hunting. Escaping government officials was difficult, but his piloting abilities spoke for themselves, his craft small but able to allow him to navigate through crafty situations. He did have to break out of a few prisons, though. Not everyone can be flawless.
Those five years were the best of his life. With his own cunning and strength he had begun to grow his own name as a sky pirate. The world was vast, and so not many might recognize the name of the sky pirate Law, but the few islands or cities that do would surely have tales to tell. Unfortunately, all good things have to come to an end, eventually.
Sailing through the skies, Law had been searching for a fabled cove rumored to be washed away with the tide. Supposedly during the summers the waters lowered and revealed this forgotten place, which was rumored to be the source of an ancient and forgotten treasure. On his way to this place, eager for glory, Law was caught in a harsh storm that had seemed to appear out of nowhere when he got near. Where had once floated lofty clouds, soft and pieced apart by gentle breezes, had suddenly turned to thunderous monsters. It seemed like darkness itself had engulfed the day.
Law had heard faint rumors over the years, of creatures only seen in the southernmost islands and skies. Creature that seemed to be crafted of darkness themselves. Due to the inconsistency of such rumors and how few the sightings were, he had not taken them seriously. The storm itself seemed to be alive as a large orb began to emerge in the sky below his ship. It was a vast darkness, one he couldn't fathom or think of.
Despite his sky prowess, Law lost that day. He had been sucked in, despite The Harpy's newer engines and rotors he had installed. After that, all turned to black. He awoke on Traverse Town, his ship damaged but intact.
