About the Character
Character Personality: Luminos has a very black and white outlook on the universe: Light is everything unquestionably good in the worlds, and darkness is the impure filth of the universe. His opinion is that if darkness is present, then it should be purged until there is nothing but light, by force if necessary. His views, while pragmatic, are unquestioned in his mind, and he refuses to accept any reasoning that would suggest otherwise. His demeanor towards others is peaceful, and diplomatic, but will shift swiftly to assertive, to potentially violent, if any signs of darkness are found in his presence. If someone has been deemed tainted by darkness, they will become another on his list of dark things to be purged from the purity of his envisioned utopia.
Character Appearance: Image Luminos stands just under 6 feet tall, draped in a pure white garb, laced with gold and draped with a few diamond-link tassels. His hands, also draped in white gloves, have a red inner lining, with a more gripping material, for holding objects with better efficiency. His skin is a pale pink, almost gray in color, and his hair, easily back-length, is a bone white. A gold manacle covers the left of his hazel blue eyes. His shoulders also have a gold-plated plating, for protection.

Reflega: A max level spell. A barrier forms around Luminos, protecting him from all damage, and causing a ring of light orbs to project out in all directions ina radius of 5 feet from the barrier, which covers a 5 foot radius dome around Luminos when cast. Anyone caught in the blast radius is dealt double the damage that would have been dealt from the attack that was going to be dealt to Luminos. This defensive spell is instantaneous, and has a 4 post cooldown.
Light eruption: A surge of light starts to form from Luminos' core, causing a wide burst of light to erupt from his body in a 5 foot radius. The spell, while short in range, deals an immense amount of damage to any caught in the blast, and any who have an affinity with darkness are dealt up to double the damage, depending on how reliant they are with the darkness. The spell has an instantaneous effect, and has a cooldown of 3 posts.
Shining Javelin: By thrusting out his hand, Luminos can shoot forth a long lance of concentrated light. The lance, if striking a target, will trigger a small blast of blinding light, that will cause knockback damage. This spell does not cause a large amount of damage per hit, and can only be fired a maximum of once per post.
Blink: Luminos's body briefly grows brilliantly bright, before scattering in light particles, reappearing in a flash anywhere within 20 feet of where he disappeared. This counter spell can only be used every 3 posts.
Ray of Brilliance: Luminos projects a 45 degree cone of light in front of his that reached out in a 15 ft spread, causing a moderate amount of damage to most targets. The damage can be increased up to double depending on how tied to the darkness the target is. The effect of the spell is near-instant, and has a 2 post cooldown.
Purge The Dark: Luminos' most powerful spell. By concentrating a supercharge of light into his hand, and laying it onto a target's chest, just above the heart, he can expel darkness from a being, no matter how small, and purify their bodies of the darkness that once held root in their hearts. When used by a creature of darkness, such as a Heartless or a Nobody, the spell completely eradicates the target in question, and scorches the heart of any Emblem Heartless with a blinding light, turning their once red, glowing heart, into a silvery white one, as it vanishes from view. The spell can cause great fatigue in the caster, and leaves them vulnerable to attack after its casting. [Only scripted during PVP]. The effect is instantaneous, 5 Post cooldown.
- This spell, while pure in intention, causes an instability in the hearts that it is cast on. Any being from the realm of light whose darkness is forcibly expelled, has potentially fatal damage done to their heart. The afflicted is then catatonic for an extensive period, and unlikely to wake up. Those that do wake up, however, are pure beings, that are unable to be tainted by the darkness, or are detected by the Heartless, who feed on the darkness in hearts. This is rare, however, as only the strongest hearts can recover from a splitting of the heart into two parts.
Spell Variants
[Va] Blinking Eruption: A combination of the Blink and Light Eruption spells, for if Luminos should be pushed to desperation. His body will glow as if getting ready to cast the Eruption spell, but will suddenly vanish in an implosion of light. A second later, he will reappear behind his target, and let loose the eruption of light. The first time the spell is cast is usually a surprise attack, and has a high chance of hitting the target, but becomes easier to manage after the initial surprise. The spell has the same amount of damage as Light Eruption spell, but has a cooldown of 5 posts.
[Va] Focused Ray of Brilliance: A long ranged ray of light that extends further than the original spell. The ray's cone of effect does not cover as wide of a range as the original, spreading only 20 degrees of a cone instead of the original 45 degrees. But what it lacks in spread, it gains in reach and damage. The ray now focuses outward in a 30 foot beam, and can deal a large amount of damage with its radiant light. The spell lasts for 2 posts, and Luminos can redirect the ray to follow a fleeing target. Those caught exposed in the beam are dealt 1st degree burns, and the burn escalates to 2nd degree if caught during the full duration. The spell has a 4 post cooldown.
[Va] Rapid fire Javelin: A repeating barrage of Light javelins will erupt from Luminos' body from all directions, homing in on one or multiple targets at once. The Javelins each do minor chip damage, but make up for the lack of damage by the sheer number of blasts that will home in on the target(s). Luminos will escalate how many javelins will fire out in increments of 10, and the cooldown starts at 3 posts, adding a post to the cooldown for each time the 10 count increment is increased.
Character Abilities
[Active] Light Blades: Luminos can propel blades of energy from his double bladed sword. These blades can reach out 15 feet from the point where the blade was swung, and can cause moderate damage on a hit. The blades are not very large in size, but the concentration of energy is where the damage comes from. Limit 2 per post.
[Passive] Air Dash: Luminos can propel himself across large gaps with a leap.
[Passive] High Jump: Luminos can jump twice the physical jumping distance of a normal human.
[Active] Double Jump: Luminos can jump a second time while in midair. This double jump is a standard human jump, and doesn't benefit from the high jump ability. However, Luminos can change the trajectory of his jump by using the double jump, and has a minor deflection ability from any ranged attacks, but can only deflect one ranged attack or spell. Cooldown of 2 posts
[Active] Light Mage: Luminos' magic focus is all light elemental spells. His prowess with light has given him the ability to shift the spell effects, and even combine spells to give a more unique ability, to the point of it seeming like a different spell entirely. Cooldowns for spell variations are based on the cooldowns of the original cooldown (or cooldowns) of the spell(s) involved in the variation, and by the variation's effect of use.
Character Forms
Absolution: Luminos' Light unleashed upon the world. In this form, his entire body glows brilliantly, encased in a perpetual aura with effects similar to the Purge the Dark spell, but at a reduced level. Direct contact with Luminos on any part of his body will scorch the darkness in his enemies' hearts, weakening the heart in the process, but not the physical body. While in this form, Luminos cannot use the Purge the Dark spell, given its perpetual state surrounding his body. This form amplifies the other spells in power, without reducing their effectiveness, or frequency of use. This form also gives Luminos a halo of long feathers, similar to a peacock's, that give Luminos the ability to levitate in this form.
While in this form, Luminos has two special abilities that he cannot use outside of this form:
- Blinding rush: Luminos glows even brighter, and propels himself forward at a rapid pace. He will fly straight in a line, and cannon change direction. But the speed in his flight path is so quick, that it gives little time for anyone in the path of flight to get out of the way in time. Cooldown of 2 posts.
- Crashing sun: Luminos will leap high into the air, gathering light around himself. The following post after building up the light, Luminos will then focus on a single target, slightly homing in on the target if mobile, and cause a large 20ft radius explosion of light. Any target caught in the explosion is dealt massive damage. Any beings of darkness; be they Heartless, Nobody, Unversed, or anything of pure darkness will be completely eradicated if caught in the blast radius. Triggering this attack immediately deactivates the Absolution form.
Character Weapons
Keyblade: Illuminata: Luminos's 'true' Keyblade. This keyblade has an extended reach, but is not well reinforced for high damage output. What it lacks in physical damage, however, it excels in magical capability, especially in light magics (Light Boost).
--Form Change - Light Echo: The Illuminata keyblade will transform into two short-handles polearm blades that glow with light. Every swing of the blade leaves a light blade afterimage that can still deal minor light damage to anything that comes into contact with the afterimage.
Secondary Transformations
Brilliant Echo: Both of the polearms fuse together into a single, double bladed staff. In addition to reach, it also doubles the amount of light damage dealt from light echo afterimage blades. During the secondary transformation, Luminos emits a glowing aura that trails with every movement of his body. Any actions done by Luminos is repeated physically by the aura a half second later. The aura can not create echo blades, but can deliver physical blows that can confuse initial contact with enemies. This form lasts for 6 posts and has a cooldown of 4 posts.
Character Shotlocks
Refracting beam: Beams of light will splinter from a light orb that Luminos summons forth. The beams will scatter in different directions at first, but will then converge on the target from different angles from above. The beam count is high, somewhere in the hundreds, but is still defend-able against if well prepared. The beams can target a maximum of 4 targets at once, but diminishes its effect depending on how many targets are being focused on. Cooldown of 6 posts.
Character Summons
Summon Darkless: If Luminos feels the need to fight, he will send a signal that will summon two of his organization members, or even two of his lesser followers, to fight alongside of him. Organization members act of their own accord, if created by other players, but will react under Luminos' command regardless.
Character Racial Ability
'Darkless' ; Luminos has purged himself of the darkness in his heart, and is seemingly invisible to the Heartless, or any creatures of darkness that rely the instinctual hunt for darkened hearts. Only sentient beings can detect his pure light presence.
Character Strengths: Exceptionally effective against dark beings
Character Weaknesses: His pragmatic nature and uncompromising outlook makes his social circle limited to his followers, and very few outside of that social group.
Character History: A former resident of Scala Ad Caelum, and someone who once opposed the war of the masters. Luminos was around during the first great keyblade war, but took no part in it, despite having a keyblade of his own. When the world started falling to darkness, and started to separate itself from the worlds using the power of Kingdom Hearts, Luminos left the world behind to seek a more peaceful life. Out in the other worlds, he found love, a family, but more importantly, he found hurt.
His family was lost to Darkness, in the Land of Departed, when a wash of darkness covered the world, and brought Heartless to terrorize the people of the world. Before the Heartless were able to claim his heart to the darkness, Luminos did the only thing that made the most sense to him at the time. Using his own keyblade, he bore out the darkness from his heart, leaving only the light, and flung the keyblade, and his darkness to another world, one devoid of life, and hidden among other blades.
His heart, fractured, forced Luminos into a deep sleep, that lasted for a decade or more, where his heart slowly reformed itself from the remaining light of his heart, and ignored by the Heartless that passed his body.
Ten years later, some strange occurrence stirred his fully repaired heart back to life, reviving Luminos and returning him to the worlds as a complete, living person. But he learned that he had some newfound power in the light, so much so that it could scorch darkness itself. Using this new power, he constructed a new keyblade, and began searching the worlds for more people who despise the darkness as much as he, and purging them of the darkness, to make them like himself.
He began, in the Land of the Departed. Any who willingly join his cause are his trusted followers. Any who oppose him, or have shown a growing darkness (often by his own perceptions of being rejected), he will forcibly purge the darkness from those who deny him, and they become his obedient subordinates: unquestioning in their actions, commanded by Luminos.
