Law grimaced at Nox’s ‘explanation’, noting how it was hardly an explanation of anything at all. ”You didn’t happen to see the other bots, did you?” Shaking the building, a loud bang echoed and caused the pirate to stagger, his hand hovering over his pistol out of reflex. ”The hell was that!?” She had taken the words right out of his mouth—but he shouted them alongside her anyway. Following the woman, the two were greeted soon by a gaping hole—one that showed the night city that stretched beyond. Though shaded by countless buildings of impossible height and the occasional overcast, the moonlight still shone in certain areas, causing Law to scowl.
Damn… Now that he thought about it, he should have gotten a hood or something for this issue. Some worlds didn’t even have moonlight, though, so Law had chosen to stick with his trusted aviators jacket, which had seen countless heists, battles and escapes. Chasing after Nox, the pirate kept his blue eyes sharp and attentive on the moonlight. He would keep his path close to the base of buildings for the night shade, avoiding any open patches where the light could fall and expose his true form. "Oi! Why're you rushing off?!" Keeping up with the woman, the pirate didn't seem to have the same train of thought. The robot they had faced had been simple enough to defeat (with the aid of magic, of course. A fact Law was ignoring blatantly), so Law really didn't understand why Nox seemed so panicked. Tch, can't those clowns take care of it?
He was of course talking about the local law enforcement, which had given him a hard time upon his first entry on this world. Thinking backed to the armed soldiers that had arrived in helicopters, the man held an open resentment. If anything, it'd be better to let them handle it: either they'd defeat the robots, or get defeated and stay out of his way. It was a win win, really.

Nox had run off so far ahead that Law's voice just barely reached her at the same time he did. "Because, if all the robots from tonight's tournament are going haywire then the town's gonna get wrecked. Or to put it in terms you can better understand; no town means no people to rob or people to sell the stolen goods to." She thought for a moment, trying to figure out the best course of action. The usual 'follow the carnage' would work for some of them, but for a bot like Nano, it'd be harder.
A sudden brush against Nox's leg caught her by surprise. "EEP!" Looking down, she saw a familiar-looking cat-like robot. "Jeez Caestus, you almost gave me a heart attack." She picked up the bot and inspected it. "Seems fine. You gonna try and kill us?" Caestus just looked at Nox and let out a small "Mew." It took all Nox had to not melt.
"I guess, since he was in the ring when everything started, it makes sense that the bot's clean." She set the cat down and leaned her back against the wall, the moonlight giving her an almost otherworldly glow. "So, Law, if you were bent on mindless destruction where would you start?"

”Because, if all the robots from tonight’s tournament are going haywire, then the town’s gonna get wrecked.” Though Nox attempted to describe the robots akin to Heartless, the pirate grew a rather devious look in his eyes. If the local law enforcement had its hands full with maintaining the robot threat, and the entire city was in chaos… This’s my chance! If there was anything of significant value here, now would be the time for him to act! Seeing the odd cat-like robot from before approach them, Law’s hand rested on his gun holster for a moment, before seeing Nox’s reaction. ”That thing a frickin’ pet?” Raising an eyebrow, the pirate gave an open look of scrutiny. ”I guess since he was in the ring when everything started, it makes sense that this bot’s clean.” Shrugging, Law seemed uninterested. ”Whatever you say, lass…” Crossing his arms, he looked on with a vaguely exasperated look—inwardly wondering how to enact his plot.
”So, Law, if you were bent on mindless destruction, where would you start?” Nox’s question caused the man to raise his brows for a moment before stroking the tuft of hair on his chin with a devious grin. ”'Hellbent on destruction', ay?” Actually, maybe this could work. Nox might have provided the exact thing he needed to set his plan in motion! ”Well, I d'know ‘bout these 'bots'—but I’d say if I was trying to cause the most damage, I’d go for the clowns with those funny looking airships.” Thinking of the law enforcement this world had, specifically of the helicopter police, Law tilted his head a bit in thought. ”If the fuzz is taken care of, then the rampage can last longer, scare more people, deal more damage…” Waving a hand dismissively for a moment, the pirate knew it was time to plant the seeds. ”But attacking their base would be too risky. If anything, I’d go after something they got a lot of their forces on—but not all of ‘em, savvy? A place of importance, where they're protecting something.”
One could say, if something heavily guarded by law enforcement, it had a high chance of being valuable, after all. The city itself was something foreign to the pirate, who was used to certain levels of technologies, but nothing to the extent of SanFransokyo. Indeed, the robots were a perfect example of that. The same rules may not apply for this world—but Law was always the gambling type. ”You know anywhere like that?”

'So he does have a brain, and a surprisingly good one at that.' She shook off the momentary shock and thought about all the places she had been in the past month. The only places she could think of were the stereotypical banks and museums. "You make a valid point, surprisingly enough, but the only places I can think of are too obvious."
'Unless that's what they are going to do. They are just bots after all.' Maybe she was looking too hard at this. She just couldn't help but think something was really off about everything that happened. "Let's try for one of those places, Hopefully, we're right and can stop this before it gets too out of hand. I kinda like it here.
The robot cat purred affectionately in her arms. "Plus, I need a place to keep this little guy." She put Caestus down and started walking. "C'mon, we're heading to the nearest museum."

”You make a valid point, surprisingly enough,” Despite the backhanded compliment, Law grinned. It seemed the seeds had taken route. Heh, too easy, lass. He was grateful to Nox, a local who’d not only been reliable in terms of navigation, but kind-hearted and trusting enough to take advice from a pirate, of all types. That kind of naivety was essential, for his line of business to thrive. ”Let’s try for one of those places.” Giving the girl a nod, the pirate hid their anticipation with a calm poker face—a fixed and casual grin, the typical devious glint in his eyes all too usual to be of suspect. ”C’mon, we’re heading to the nearest museum.” Gesturing with a hand, Law wondered what sort of valuable and rare items he’d be able to find at their destination.
”Lead the way~” He’d take mind to avoid direct moonlight during their venture throughout the city—thankful for the impossibly tall buildings that shrouded them in shadows.

She led Law through town, stopping to check a map or two along the way. She may have been here the longest out of the two of them but she was still only here for just over a month. She didn't know how to everywhere just yet. After a couple of wrong turns the three of them, Caestus having decided to sit on Nox's shoulder for the entire walk.
"Well, here we are." Nox went to walk up the steps, only to be interrupted by a nearby explosion. Nox pinched her brow and gave an exasperated sigh. She wasn't sure how to feel about this. "Well, I'm gonna guess that's where one of them is." She ran off before anyone could say anything.
After a few minutes, she came to a late-night shopping strip. People running in the opposite direction gave her the only evidence she needed that one of the bots was here. The loud BOOM made it obvious that it was Megaton causing the damage. "Hey, Law, you ready to fight another bot?" Nox summoned her Keyblade and started walking toward the rouge machine. Caestus jumped down and sat off to the side, being sure to stay out of the way.
Megaton turned to her and let out a shockwave from its speaker. Nok spun out of the way before putting on her headphones and running into the fight.

Following Nox’s guidance, the pirate would show mild annoyance whenever they had to backtrack after taking a wrong turn. Having to avoid the moonlight, though scarce, Law hardly wanted to spend longer than they had to out in the open. ”Well, here we are.” Sure enough, the building she had led him to looked pretty swanky. With ornate steps and a decked out entrance, the pirate grinned with a devious anticipation at the thought of the pocketable rarities inside. BOOM! A sudden explosion caused both to pause in their steps, turning their heads to see the bright light of fire illuminate in the nearby distance. ”Well, I’m gonna guess that’s where one of them is.” Running off before Law could reply, the pirate cursed as he glanced between Nox and the museum. He could simply loot the place himself, though using the chaos of the attack was part of his plan. ”They better be after something good…” Grumbling with a sour expression, he started running after the local, curious as to where the real attack was—and what sort of treasures could be found.
Making sure to avoid the occasional spot of moonlight, Law found himself standing at a street crowded with shops, countless lights emitting from the neon lights of signs and florescent shine within windows dimming any natural light that would fall. In that sense—the shopping strip was a boon at night. Oh, this’s more like it! It was a boon in another sense, too. The chaos that greeted them was perfect—individuals shouting and running in al directions as another loud BOOM! shattered through the noise. ”Hey, Law, you ready to fight another bot?” Having found Megaton as the source, Nox was preparing for battle. If she had turned to look back at her companion, however, she’d find an empty spot where the pirate had once been. With the chaos of the crowd, there was little chance of her seeing what direction they’d gone.
SLAM! ”Outta the way!” Having forced his way through the panicking mob, Law found himself in a partially destroyed store. Though unfamiliar with brands and luxuries from this world, the pirate had a keen eye for things that looked valuable. Having decided to dip into a more expensive looking luxury store that’s entrance was mostly blown open and windows shattered, Law’s boots crunched over glass as the lights within flickered, some sparking and others not working at all. ”Hehehe~ Perfect!” Chuckling to himself as though a child in a candy store, the pirate’s eyes were quick to scan over items as he walked through the place. BOOM! In the distance he heard the sounds of battle and more explosions, though it hardly concerned him much. That lass is crazy. Good thing he had found an opportunity to ditch her. He just didn’t get it. Why jump into these risky situations if it wasn’t to get something out of it?
Though he hardly needed munny (considering the still brimming chest of gold he had swiped from the Caribbean), it wasn’t like Law’s newfound immortality had dulled his want for an excessively lavish lifestyle. Why else would one become a pirate to begin with? As though on a vacation, the man was twirling through aisles and racks, snatching up expensive looking accessories and clothing first, though the fashion sense on this world was unlike any he’d seen prior. Without a care in the world, it seemed the pirate had ‘abandoned ship’, so to speak, showing his true colors without a sign of remorse.

Nox ran in, music drowning out all outside noise. The bot didn't seem to notice her until she got close enough to kick it. Before she could get a good shot in, Megaton turned to her and blasted her into the air with one of its shockwaves.
After landing on her back, she took a moment to reassess her approach and the overall situation. This was an enemy that used sound, just like her. Why did she think getting close was a good idea? 'If I can get Law to distract it for long enough, I sho-wait, where is he?' She sat up and scanned the area. He was nowhere to be seen. 'I'M GONNA CASTRATE THAT BASTARD!' An air of menace had started to surround the woman before a BOOM from megaton hit a nearby clothing store, snapping her back to reality.
"First thing's first, though." Summoning her Keyblade, Nox decided that punishing Law could wait until later.
If she couldn't use him, then maybe she could try and overwhelm it. This wasn't a bot that really did any amount of thinking. If she kept attacking, maybe she could force an opening. Nox didn't like the idea, but it was the only one she had at the moment. Raising her Keyblade, Nox used her Musician's Fury. Strumming her Keyblade's strings, a small volley of ten brightly colored notes flew towards the robot.
As she expected, Megaton used another shockwave to attempt to blow the notes away. All but two were canceled out, the two just barely hitting their mark. Nox took the opportunity to close the distance.

BOOM! A thundering explosion of rubble quaked the city, though Law had already grown accustomed to such events as he lounged on a glass countertop, spraying a variety of expensive perfumes and fragrances, only to shake his head at most and toss them to the floor with a loud smash! after. ”Jeez…none of these scream ‘captain’, or ‘sky pirate’, at all!” Groaning as he tossed yet another bottle of useless perfume, the pirate pushed himself up, swinging his legs idly over the edge of the counter for a moment as he glanced around. ”Aha!” In the distance, he spotted sections of luxurious furniture and lounge equipment, immediately thinking of his own quarters in his ship. ”The place could use some sprucing up…” Chuckling to himself as he jumped from the counter and began to roam through the abandoned store once more, Law glanced through one of the many glass windows—noting how the panic was steadily dying out. Though the chaos continued, most civilians in the area had seemed to flee or make it out by now.
Won’t wanna stick around too long, then. With a sigh, the man knew better than to remain in plain sight once things were under control. For the time being, the pirate was faced with a dilemma. As he sprawled out onto a leather lounge couch, having made his way to the furniture (promptly putting his dirty steel toed boots up on them with no remorse), Law contemplated how he was going to get any of the larger items he wanted to his ship. ”Damn it…” He shook his head before stretching out and yawning a bit, settled in at ease.

Closing the distance Nox managed to get a swing in, knocking the bot back a few dozen feet. Damaging it, but not enough to put it out of commission. She ran to meet it as it landed, but Megaton used one of its other speakers to send the woman through the wall of a furniture shop.
Coming to, she looked around. Thankful that the shop was mostly empty Nox stood to resume the fight. Walking forward, she would see a possibly annoyed-looking Law on one of the sofas. "You're a prick, you know that?" She crossed her arms, glaring at him with disappointment in her eyes. She wasn't surprised that he had left, he made it more than obvious that he was out for himself. She was hurt that it hadn't looked like he took anything. "If you're gonna run off and steal things in a panic, at least actually STEAL. You're just on a couch, doing nothing. Aren't pirates supposed to have some sense of conviction or something?"
Another loud BOOM was heard in the distance. "Do what you want, I'm gonna fight this thing." She looked back briefly. "Try to remember that I was your alibi if you DID get caught. See ya." Like that, she ran back out into the fight, using her Reverb to get the bot's attention so she could try and end the fight.

CRASH! Yet another crashing rumble as glass shattered and splintered, though this one was in his direct vicinity as the store Law was in shook and quaked for a moment. Raising an eyebrow, the pirate sat up from the fancy leather lounge sofa he was on, wondering what had just been launched through the store glass. Seeing Nox push herself back up to her feet, Law let out a bark of laughter and raised a hand to his head in astonishment. ”Ha ha! See, this’s why ya shouldn’t stick yer nose where it doesn’t—“ Nox was quick to cut him off, crossing her arms and glaring at him. "You’re a prick, you know that?” The initial comment caused the man to smirk and snicker a bit, rolling his eyes and waving a hand dismissively. ”If you’re gonna run off and steal things in a panic, at least actually STEAL.” Blinking in mild surprise, Law tilted his head a bit, still sitting on the fancy sofa draped out in luxurious clothing and reeking of too much perfume and scents. ”You’re just on a couch, doing nothing. Aren’t pirates supposed to have some sense of conviction or something?” For a moment, the man looked deeply perplexed before bursting out in loud laughter.
”Ha ha! Conviction?! What use is that, lass?” Shrugging, Law leaned back once more, resting his hands behind his head. ”’Sides, not like I need dough…” In all honesty, all the pirate was doing these days was trying to kill time and have fun. With a chest full of riches and an immortal body that couldn’t eat nor drink, there was little else for the pirate to steal other than certain luxuries. ”Do what you want, I’m gonna fight this thing.” Another loud BOOM! in the distance emphasized the still present enemy in the city. Sighing a bit as the girl rushed out to get beaten up some more, Law frowned as he stared up at the store ceiling. ”I miss drinking’…” Even gambling wasn’t the same, when you were already rich. Tch—who’d’ve thought that heist would be too successful. The sheer amount of gold he had gotten from the Caribbean was a ridiculous amount. Way more than he could spend without alcohol or food in the picture.
Sure, he could buy a penthouse or mansion or something somewhere—but he enjoyed the freedom of sailing through worlds on his airship more than anything else. At the end of the day, the pirate was a rich criminal with no idea where their next ambitions lay. What am I doing…?

Her trick with her Reverb worked better than she could have hoped. the bot turned towards her, she swore it looked surprised to see her up and about. It blasted another shockwave which Nox canceled out with her own. The wall of pink sound colliding with the vibrations from the robot's speaker.
'What good is conviction? Idiot.' Nox called on her Record Scratch form, her Keyblade transforming into a mixing board/record player combination. with the transformation, the woman was now a clear few inches off the ground. 'Convictions are all I really have left now. Figured he'd understand that much.'
With the form's increased speed, Nox was able to avoid the bot's attacks and close the distance better than she had been earlier in the fight. She positioned herself in a spot where she was certain her plan would work. She used the form's Feedback. To people, it would just be an extremely painful sound but is less than a foot away from the bot Nox was certain that the sound damaged vital parts of her foe. If not, then she hoped that she hurt the seemingly alive metal.
She had ended up being right on both counts. Megaton had attempted one last soundwave, to no avail, before the liquid metal completely oozed out of it. Taking a quick look around, Nox found an unbroken jar and scooped the liquid inside.
Sighing in relief, she heard a familiar robotic "Meow". She looked towards the direction, seeing Caestus sitting in the road. "Hey there," She picked up the cat. "Lets go tell mister Lazybones that this bot was taken care of."

Tch—stupid bots. Law scowled as he stared up at the damaged ceiling of the ruined store he had been looting. Still lounging on an expensive leather sofa, the pirate couldn’t help but feel hollow—despite the expensive mink coat, flashy jewelry and expensive perfume he’d ‘thrifted’ from the place. I was havin’ fun ‘till they went crazy. That’s right, he had been having fun, at some point tonight. Betting and gambling were at least exciting, even if he didn’t need the coin. Sighing, the undead sat up, glancing around the ruined store illuminated by flickering and mostly destroyed lights. He couldn’t even drink his boredom away anymore, thanks to the stupid ‘powers’ he’d acquired from that gold…
”ARGH!? WHAT THE HELL IS THAT?!” A sudden high pitched noise that was absolutely grating to listen to erupted throughout the night, causing the pirate to hold their hands over their ears—unable to even hear the jingling of all the expensive rings, watches and other jewelry he’d lifted during his visit over the sound. For a moment, Law swore his ears would bleed if the sound didn’t stop—it even caused his body to jolt and stay still, a static sensation erupting through him as though everything were going numb. ”Huff…huff…” For a moment a ringing in his head was all he heard, the noise deafening all else in the painful sounds absence as it subsided, leaving his breathing coarse and vision blurred. Thankfully, food and drink turned to ash in his mouth, so Law had nothing to vomit up despite the horrendous feeling passing through his lifeless form.
”What the hell was that…?!” Still holding his head, the pirate would finally be able to recover, standing up from the expensive sofa and noticing how more of the glass in the store had shattered during the cacophonous eruption. Scowling as he stomped with his steel-toed boots, crunching! and snapping! the shards of glass littering the tiled floor, Law would walk over to the exit of the store, knowing full well he couldn’t linger much longer after a noise like that was sure to wake up the entire city. It was probably her, wasn’t it…? Thinking back to the last time he’d fought alongside the ‘local’, hadn’t they done something similar with noise before…? ”Speak o’ the devil.” Seeing Nox as he exited the store, Law flashed a teasing look with a smirk at the vigilant do-gooder. ”Looks like we’ve both finished.” Pulling up the hood of the fur coat he had nabbed, the pirate flashed his hands and fingers, almost as if doing ‘jazz hands’.
Clink! Clink! The many rings, watches and bracelets exposed themselves and jingled against each other, sparkling in the inconsistent flickering street lights and occasional light of the moon. ”Y’know, yer more a menace than I am, lass—makin’ a racket like that.” Shaking his head a bit, Law sighed, resting a hand on his hip and shifting his weight to one leg as he flashed a vaguely disapproving look at her. "Not 'ta mention, make everyone go deaf!" Protected from the moonlight thanks to the jacket he'd stolen, the pirate crossed his arms and scowled before glancing down at the the cat-like robot accompanying Nox. She's still letting that thing follow her around?

”Speak o’ the devil.” Nox turned to Law and rolled her eyes as he did his little 'jazz hands' expression. Stuffing the jar into a backpack that was in decent shape near her, she glared at the pirate as he started to comment on her actions.
"In case you hadn't noticed, Captain Irony, A: there's no one here but the three of us, and B: I was the only one of us who tried to help people." She pinched the bridge of her nose before all of her adrenaline left her. Once it did, she just sighed in defeat. "I just-I finally started to rebuild my life, in both senses of the statement."
She scooped up Caestus and started walking off. "Not that you'd care, but you asked why I did." Nox was more concerned with finding the other bots than if the pirate followed her. She beat this one on her own, surely she could beat the rest.

Nox’s retorts to his initial jabs would cause Law to roll his eyes a bit shake his head. ”I just—I finally started to rebuild my life, in both senses of the statement.” The comment caused him to raise a brow from beneath the fur-lined hood, watching as she scooped up the cat-like robot and began to head off once more. ”Tch—so, yer rebuilding it by protecting empty shops and fighting robots?” Despite his incredulous tone, a look of curiosity and intrigue had flashed across his devilish face as he began to follow after her. ”Ye’ get some weird priorities, eh, lass?” Barking out an undignified laugh at his own joke, Law had a somewhat peppy jaunt in his step as he jingled and clanged through the somewhat broken and discarded section of SanFransokyo with ease.
Just what are you rebuilding, lass? And what was destroyed in its place? Stepping over piles of loose rubble and debris as they walked through the city, the pirate’s hidden icy gaze would be lingering on Nox. Heh—maybe this will be interesting after all… With the mischievous motive, the pirate felt relief from boredom’s grasp once more, the tedious tone of immortality dulling faintly. "Oi, ye got a clue as'ta where yer going, yeah?" Finally catching up after ruminating, Law was quick to resume his usual role. Maybe there were better shops to rob? Or higher stakes at play? Regardless, either way, the pirate knew now he was bound to be entertained regardless of the chaos the robot's caused.

"I can feel you staring at me." The woman called back to Law, as he caught up. "As for how to find the other bots? Figured I'd follow the sounds of terror and destruction/" it was the only plan that she had, considering they had no actual way of tracking the bots.
They walked for a while, eventually getting to a park. Nox basically fell into a bench with a tired sigh. "This shouldn't be this hard. There are two bots left that have been infected, one of which is the size of a person. How have we not seen or heard at least one of them yet?" Nox was tired and stressed. if they couldn't find the bots, the city would be destroyed.
She looked up at the sky, it was too cloudy to see much, but it was nice enough for her. "You know, I was never the biggest fan of nighttime. Morning person and all that. But I have this friend, total night owl. One night, when I couldn't sleep, he took me to his favorite spot and we just sat and listened. It was so calm, you could hear the waves hitting the docks, the crickets in the distance, little things like that. I was always so focused on being responsible and getting my duties done that I never stopped to appreciate the quiet moments." Nox looked over at Law. "That's why I care so much. Because I don't want anyone to lose the ability to have those moments if I can do something. Like I said when we met, I lost my home. I refuse to let others lose theirs."
Nox rubbed the fatigue out of her eyes, stood up and stretched, before turning to leave. "So, if you'll excuse me, I'm off to save what I can."

”Figured I’d follow the sounds of terror and destruction.” It wasn’t much of a plan, which caused the pirate to deflate somewhat. He’d been expecting something…more? Anything, really. They were just going to hoof it on a whim until they came across some rampaging robot? Sighing a bit, Law shoved his jingling hands into the pockets of the long fur coat he boosted, his steel-toed boots and armor clanking as he walked carefully around sections of rubble and prior destruction.
”Where the hell’re the fuzz that swarmed me when I showed up?” There was an obviously salty tone to the undead’s words as he scowled. Of course, they were quick to try and arrest him for simply flying here—but robots rampaged through the city and nothing. Eventually the two made it to a deserted park. Everything was surprisingly quiet for such a vast place sprawling with towers of glass and highways.
”This shouldn’t be this hard.” Nox seemed more than discouraged as she plopped down on a bench. ”How have we not seen or heard at least one of them yet?” Shrugging a little, Law walked behind the bench, turning to lean against the back frame.
”Maybe someone else handled it?” It was a lazy idea, only emphasized by a lackluster wave of a hand. Maybe the lazy guard that liked to pull over honest-to-god pirates handled it? Wasn't that their job, anyway? Watching the sky, the pirate was quietly thankful for the faint hint of the night's waning. Has it really been that long, already? Soon, the sun would be up, and he wouldn't have to worry about what he hid. Ever since the ‘curse’, the pirate didn’t experience states of fatigue, tiredness or much else these days. Because of it, he’d hardly registered the fact they’d been running around the city all night (one of them battling robots as well). Once Nox began to talk though, he glanced over his shoulder and noticed the mild exhaustion she surely felt.
”You know, I was never the biggest fan of nighttime.” Raising an eyebrow a bit, Law’s hooded gaze lingered over his shoulder as he listened. Sounds boring… Sitting and listening to the sounds of the night was surely romantic or enjoying for some, but to the immortal pirate who wasn’t able to satiate any sense of hunger, lack of sobriety or passage of time, the idea was pure torture. ”I was always so focused on being responsible and getting my duties done that I never stopped to appreciate the quiet moments.” Despite how he felt about ‘peaceful’ moments, it was clear that they were something appreciated by her. ”I don’t want anyone to lose the ability to have those moments if I can do something.” Nox’s mention of losing home had the pirate lapsed into a surprisingly silent moment.
Well—it’d be no fun to poke at her now. He’d been tempted to tease her about how after having an epiphany of not slowing down enough, her solution was to work twice as hard to ensure others could relax. It didn’t seem like the right time now, though. ”So, if you’ll excuse me, I’m off to save what I can.” She’d already stood up from the bench, beginning to stretch and wake herself back up. Rolling his icy eyes from beneath the fur hood that protect his true form from the moon, Law pushed against the bench and spun on his heels, clapping his bejeweled hands together with a soft clink!
”Hold it, lass~” Wanting to change topics before things got too depressing, the pirate was quick to wear a devious smirk as he faced Nox and gestured towards the sky. ”Hoofing it is taking us forever. I say we hitch a ride.” Reaching into the fur coat and the pilot’s jacket he wore underneath, Law retrieved an odd device from an unseen pocket. To a wandering SanFransokyo local, it surely looked like a hodgepodge of tech, if not purely outdated. Appearing almost like a thick remote, there was a small antenna that extended at the tip, a large and long red button on one side while multiple buttons and a small radar screen sat on the front. ”I can summon The Harpy anytime—the problem is keeping this place’s heat off our tails. We'll need to disguise the ship, somehow...make it fit in.”
Scowling a bit due to the recollection of his arrival on this world, the pirate gave Nox a raised brow. ”Unless you want to spend the rest of what’s about to be morning running around on this wild griffin-chase?”

”Hold it, lass~ Hoofing it is taking us forever. I say we hitch a ride." She didn't want to admit it, but Law was right. Between the fighting and the time of night, Nox was doing all she could to stay standing. His mention of a disguise gave her an idea.
"You remember the blimp you crashed into when you first got here? Those are surprisingly common. I doubt anyone will question if we make your ship look like one of those." Law had made an aggravating amount of good points in the past few minutes. Between the lack of police to the fact that someone could've taken care of the other two robots. However, she wasn't going to be satisfied with that until she could prove it herself beyond a shadow of a doubt.
"Yeah, bring your ship around and we can spend some time making it look like something else. Then we can go back to..to.. yaa~~wn." Nox covered her mouth with her hand as the involuntary action took place. She shook her head in an attempt to wake herself up. "Sorry. Anyway, grab ship, make it look like a blimp, grab coffee, find robots."

“You remember the blimp you crashed into when you first got here?” Nox’s recollection of events caused the pirate a moment of indignation. It wasn’t his fault that this world had slow flying vehicles and towering skyscrapers with no air traffic system. Despite the sting in his pride, Law had to admit that the young woman had a good idea. Disguising his ship would be a lot easier, too, considering an item he had somewhat recently swiped from an old gummi ship technician back on another world…
Nox’s yawn caught him off guard, interrupting her planning at a pretty comical moment. Keeping himself composed, instead of laughing, Law nodded along in alignment while pressing the red button alongside the remote with a loud beep! ”I don’t know of any coffee places here, lass, but we can surely lift some.” After all, she wasn’t undead. Of course she’d be exhausted after fighting all night long. Though his heart no longer beat in his chest, it was still there (albeit small, like a grinch). ”Surely the city won’t crumble if we take one small detour.” As he spoke, a shadow fell over both of them as The Harpy idled above. Though small, the ship was swift and decked out with some of the latest upgrades in gummi tech.
While the auto-pilot feature idled the ship and propelled down a small rope ladder for the two to ascend, Law pressed a few more of the buttons on the remote he held. ”This should do it…though it won’t hold up to any real scrutiny.” Scoffing a bit, the pirate clearly wasn’t concerned. Above them, the ships mirrored hull began to raise as a small box near the base of the ship rattled and lit up. Blasting the raised mirror with a projection, the ship soon resembled one of the ‘blimps’ Nox had mentioned. Of course, it wasn’t a perfect replica, as it was just a light trick. Furthermore, rather than the more modern housing on the aircraft it imitated, below the false balloon hiding the sails and rafts was still the main ship deck.
Perhaps locals would think it a promotional thing, if any were still around or awake enough to bother noticing. Gesturing to the ladder that had propelled down, the pirate flashed Nox a grin that exposed the gold teeth he wore. ”Meet you up there. Then, we can go get something to warm our bones.” Using his Aerora spell, Law was thrusted into the air with a powerful push that gusted all around him. Flying higher than any mortal (or undead) could jump, the pirate hooted and hollered as though a kid on a trampoline as he latched onto the idled ships side rails, hoisting himself onto deck and rushing to the raised pilots deck to prepare for takeoff.

”I don’t know of any coffee places here, lass, but we can surely lift some. Surely the city won’t crumble if we take one small detour.” Nox went to argue but thought better of it. "We nab a coffee maker. I refuse to taint the sanctity of my bean juice."
Law's act of kindness, small though it was, caught Nox by surprise. 'Probably my imagination.' That made the most sense to her, given how the night had gone thus far.
”This should do it…though it won’t hold up to any real scrutiny.” Nox looked up in the direction of where the ladder came from. She was so tired that she hadn't even heard Law's ship approach, much less what he said before Nox saw him jumping through the air.
"Well, up we go I guess." She muttered to herself as she scooped up Caestus and used her High Jump to get a good distance up the ladder before having to grab on and climb the rest of the way up. Getting up just as Law finished the preparations for takeoff, the woman sat on the nearby stairs, fighting to stay awake.
