About the Character
Character Personality: Like many older folks, Beric has very rigid and set ideals that he isn’t planning on budging on anytime soon. Respecting and upholding traditions, Beric acts the part of a proper older gentleman. Polite and well-mannered, Beric is friendly and amicable to any he meets, often taking on a doting (and somewhat lecturing) role with younger individuals he comes across. Having once been a parent, Beric often finds himself needlessly coddling the younger generation, wanting to advise them and hold their hand through the tough journeys ahead. Many would consider it to be simply ‘over-protective’ and ‘slightly controlling’.
Believing that all people have their role to play and it is their duty to uphold that role. Any who fail are better off dead. This is why Beric has so much self-loathing, though he is never brash or brazen enough to speak such thoughts out loud. Knowing himself to be one of these ‘failures’, the man has a hard time looking at himself in the mirror. He has avoided having to confront this fully over the years by focusing on his more ‘Black-and-White’ ideals--namely purging the world of Darkness. Regardless how small or mild, Beric refuses to associate with any who dabble or praise the darkness and Heartless, immediately viewing them as enemies.
This is where his contained wrath emerges. Against Heartless. Against villains who align themselves with such demons. All will be purged. None will remain. Not after what they took from him. His ‘self-preservation’ tends to end when it comes to this mission.
Character Appearance (Please include such things as height, hair color, eye color, body type, clothing, weight, etc. You need to actually write a description. You may include a picture for reference. Must be at least 5 sentences): Beric is a surprisingly tall and fit older man. Standing at 6’7” with a broad and muscular body, the man is covered in countless scars and wounds from prior ‘hunts’ and battles. His hair is a lustered silver, ashy yet full and unruly. The short bearded-goatee that is on his aging and sun-tanned face is similar in color, though flecks of amber and red still remain.
Beric’s right arm is a metal prosthetic robot arm, crafted from sturdy Orichaclum. This is from the bicep down. Because of his arm, Beric usually wears a black long-sleeve beneath a long and battered brown trench coat, tucked into sturdy black denim layered pants. Strapped over his torso are lines of bullets, fitted for his weapons and always at hand. Across his waist are more straps of ammo, acting as a belt. Shading his face is a wide-brimmed brown leather hat, just as beat up as his coat.
Armored lightly, Beric wears metal knee guards, crafted from sturdy steel, as well as having steel plating over the toes of his tan leather-brown combat boots. On his left arm (his non-robotic arm) is a metal elbow-guard as well as a small metal chest-guard over his heart. These small pieces of armor are strategically placed, covering vital spots that would hinder him the worst during a ‘hunt’. During battle, Beric always wears a small device that hooks to his ear and displays a small ‘scanning’ screen over his left eye. It is a yellow screen with a green scope in the middle, turning red when he is ‘locked on’.

Invisira- Cloaks the user or ally with minor invisibility, making them partially invisible but still showing a rough outline. Provides better effect at nighttime. [Duration of 3 posts][2 post cooldown]
Exit- Warps the user or willing allies out of the battlefield, bringing them to the nearest ‘safe’ location outside of the area. Cannot be used on enemies. The user cannot decide where the warp will lead specifically (i.e: Maybe the ‘safest’ location where there are no enemies is literally that lake half a mile away. Have a good swim.) [1 use per battle]
Character Abilities:
Encounter Plus- Increases the odds of encountering enemies on the field. [Passive]
Lock On- Using his eye-device, Beric is able to keep up with a target’s movements, even if they are fast or hard to predict (to a limit). Can only ‘lock on’ to one enemy at a time. [Remains active until turned off][1 post cooldown]

Scan- Analyzes a single target. Allows the user to gauge the targets HP as well as any potential weaknesses or openings. [1 post cooldown]
Stun Gun- Launches his robotic hand from his prosthetic arm, covered in electricity, up to 22m. Grabs or punches an enemy, shocking them for minor thunder damage. [2 post cooldown]
Ricochet- Fires off multiple bullets that ricochet and bounce across the battlefield off of the environment, creating a weaving net of fired bullets that strike enemies with their unpredictable paths, making it hard to dodge. Deals moderate physical damage. [3 post cooldown]
Rocket Punch- Channeling electricity throughout his robotic Orichaclum arm, Beric charges forward and punches a target at a boosted speed for heavy thunder/physical damage. [4 post cooldown]

Character Weapons (Maximum of 5 weapons allowed – members must have 50 posts before their characters may wield a keyblade):
Smite & Wrath- A dual pair of identical steel grey hand-held semi-automatic pistols. Both have long and thick barrels, the pistols larger than most due to their power and the size of the ammo they take. (Think larger desert eagles or TT’s with longer barrels) These have been modified by otherworldly technology since his time off of his home world, making them more durable and stronger than normal guns. Beric does not always dual-wield these, sometimes leaving his robotic arm free and keeping the second as a spare.
Orichalcum Prosthetic- His robotic arm. It can conduct and produce electricity, acting as though a stun gun as he punches people or launches his hand to shock them. Deals physical/thunder damage.
Character Shotlocks:
Spearing Bolt- Using his Orichalcum prosthetic, Beric charges his guns with electric energy, firing off up to two insanely fast and powerful shots that deal heavy thunder/physical damage upon hit. Can reach up to 50m in a straight line each. [4 post cooldown]

History
Beric’s home world was named Gaia, one of lush continents and magic. Growing up in a metropolis, Beric had the fortune of knowing both parents. His father Verrol was a policeman, vice-chief on the rise. His mother Joline was an engineer, taking on countless contracts from government and private business alike. With a stable and comfortable upbringing, Beric was raised to be a ‘proper’ and ‘respectable’ citizen by his father, who upheld the law with a rigid sense of justice. Growing up, Beric aspired to be like Verrol, training both his mind and body as he aimed to join the police force.
After establishing a basic footing under his father's department, making a name for himself as a cop, Beric met a woman named Eve, a fellow worker on the force. The two were partners for a time before budding a romance that led to their marriage. Shortly after the two were blessed with a baby girl that they named Iris, who was their pride and joy. It wasn’t long after this that Joline was called while on shift and sent to what would be her grave. Trying to save victims of an arsons attack in the city, she was lost in the buildings collapse, leaving Beric a single father. It was only thanks to having their daughter to care for that Beric didn’t lose himself that day.
Immediately after his wife’s death, Beric lost his father to illness, his mother following shortly after due to grief. One by one, the pillars that had supported him began to crumble, leaving only Iris as his ray of light in those dark times. Taking leave of work to devote himself to parenthood, Beric’s righteous sense of justice couldn’t let the fact that his wife was second-handedly murdered go. He began to seek the arsonist with his extra free time, despite having been raised as a proper policeman who upheld the law. The ‘law’ was hardly making any headway, leaving the victim’s family with nothing but grief and lack of closure. Through his excellence at police-work, Beric soon found the arsonist, conducting a ‘citizens’ arrest that nearly led to his own.
Stripped of his position, Beric narrowly avoided arrest by being denounced by the police force, due to unlawful use of position and violence. Though he hadn’t murdered the arsonist, he had done enough damage that had made him a demon in the media’s eyes. It was with this event that Beric began to do ‘bounty-hunter’ work. It wasn’t uncommon on Gaia for ex-cops to resort to such means, leading to a similar yet ‘less desirable’ career as he raised Iris himself. For a time the two struggled as his work was inconsistent and dangerous, but never once did Beric fail in his duties as a father. Not until the Heartless arrived. Iris had just turned 12 at the time. Appearing seemingly from nowhere, the demons began to destroy and wreak havoc across the entire world. Nowhere was safe.
Out on a ‘job’ that evening, Beric was caught amongst the chaos right as it exploded in the metropolis he lived in. It was a night of hell, with endless fighting of shadows and dark entities beyond anyone’s comprehension. No one had even heard of them. Though he had rushed home as fast as he could, Beric’s house was decimated. Claw marks and shattered wood and twisted steel remained, no sign of Iris anywhere. Soon after that, he couldn’t remember much. There had been countless of the swarming monsters, a giant one with twisted hair and gleaming eyes that was ripping the world itself apart with its black and purple energy.
Beric awoke in Traverse Town, severely wounded and disoriented. It was there that he was saved by the locals and learned of the Heartless, as well as what they did and what his presence there meant for his world. Harboring a hatred for the Heartless and the Darkness itself, Beric took the aid given to him in that world, honing his skills to hunt the demons of the dark and any who associated with them.
