A steady night sky had settled over, the stars clearly visible despite the town’s luminosity. The street lamps glowed warmly with an orange-yellow light by the 1st District, and yet despite the overall warm atmosphere, no one was there to enjoy it.
Such was the way of a world meant to be a refuge for those who’d lost their own.
A small boy looked around, feeling the aura to be overall familiar to him, much to his surprise. Besides him was a falcon-like being, its black feathered crest contrasting against the lighting while its green hue blended with it. It soared near the boy without much care, while the young one would look around with some bewilderment.
“A world that appears whenever someone needs it to…” he mumbled, “To think —such a world exists in the Realm Between… Much like the Shore…”
His aim was clear —find any source of information regarding the Traitors and the rest of the Spirits. Having found the Shore’s deplorable state alarming, the young boy left immediately to find answers of his own. He refused to let his new home be destroyed, and also refused to simply allow those who aimed for destruction do their bidding. And yet, even with all of those goals in mind…
He had no idea where to start. That alone frustrated him.
“Why, exactly, did I think this place would hold answers…?” the boy lamented, bitter, “…Whatever. Fuu, could you search around?” “Noted!”
The falcon nodded at the boy’s command, taking flight eagerly as it flew upwards to see the 1st District from quite literally an eagle’s eye-view. All the while, the boy roamed around, waltzing his way through the small plaza that formed in between 2 lamps at the center, while by his left was a seemingly empty restaurant. Up a set of stairs was a shop, although no one there to help him browse. A few houses all around, and at the end of the short alleyways, large doors. The warm light suddenly felt unwelcoming, as the area the boy found himself in was empty to no end.
No matter where he looked, he was alone, the only company with him being the falcon being soaring through the sky in search for clues.
“Then again… The lack of people would indicate that they’re where they belong” the boy told himself, “After all, if this world shows when someone needs shelter… Then the lack of people would mean that no one has a need of this place…” he smiled faintly, “That’s one thing I can find solace in…”

Well, almost nobody anyway. The wandering boy wouldn't find the one available soul left without barging into inn rooms, coincidentally selecting one in particular that belong to a man wearing a gray button-up shirt, black pants, and an ornate blindfold. It was very dark forest green with fancy golden stitches and a smooth orange gem laid in the middle. Wearing it was clearly a choice.
This man felt it - he wasn't by himself anymore, someone else was wandering. It wasn't his business, he had far more important things to attend to. The curiosity did alert him of his presence and some more generalized features that he could sense from however far away he happened to be while locked in a room permanently rented at the inn.
Alongside the newcomer was a winged companion of some sort. Their auras were together, and parted ways, signaling them to be companions rather than enemies. JeY would go back to meditating.
At least, he would try. The more the boy wandered, the more fierce and distraught his energies became until they were impossible to ignore. 'Fine' he thought to himself, vanishing from his room.
The young blindfolded man reappeared on a rooftop nearby. Far enough away that he should remain relatively undetected by the sixth sense of creatures that felt something watching, except close enough that he would probably be spotted if the boy looked extremely carefully. He just... watched for a minute.

As the boy traversed through the empty world, looking around in search for anything at this point, the falcon soared high in the sky, perking up as he noticed something moving. Being so high up, it could see all that was needed, spotting a man by a nearby rooftop. Was it ally or foe? The falcon couldn’t tell. Instead, it quickly dove back to its Summoner’s side, perking the boy out of his thoughts.
“Fuu?” the boy asked. “Someone’s here —no doubt about it” the falcon —Fuu— replied, “I can’t tell if they’re hostile or not, though.” “Are they Traitors?” the boy’s gaze steeled, until he received a negative, “Where’d you see them?” “Up there.”
Fuu soared back up, its gaze locked towards the unknown person, allowing the boy to see where he stood. It was tough at first, but he could see him after a bit. He tilted his head, wondering what their intentions were. He remained still, turning towards the person looking at the distance all the while the falcon approached in his stead.
From a distance, the boy would seem minuscule, although partially his age and stature were to blame —after all, he had remained as a forever 11-year old, never growing older as a Spirit. Yet despite his age and stature, the boy was anything but gullible. If that person had intentions in mind… They wouldn’t have it easy.
“You there” Fuu spoke, its tone neutral as it approached the man, “Do you need something?” "If you wish to talk, shouldn't it be best to come down here?" Dantès asked, a faint and playful smirk drawn in his lips, "I doubt I can jump all the way up there."
His last comment was an obvious lie —one the man watching from afar would be able to tell easily. Yet the boy didn’t seem like the mischievous type, despite his previous comment. All in all, he just wanted to ascertain what the man’s intentions were.
He didn’t mean to bother anyone while he remained there.

Should've figured the flying entity would spot him immediately and conspire with its cohort about the sudden new presence. There wasn't an immediate offensive gesture being made, so the blindfolded man could only assume they weren't looking for a fight. At least, not yet - smart, playing cards close tot he chest, but not totally ignoring the obvious. He'd keep watching, and his patience would reward him adequately.
The duo approached, the flier in front, and initiated their conversation as if the man was the one who wasn't sure of what to do. Time to correct that notion; these tow needed to know immediately that there was no use in hiding their intentions.
As requested of him, the man would speak - his voice wasn't the most pleasing. He had a dry monotone, his annunciation and body language completely lacked any motion. His eyes were hidden and wouldn't reveal his stature to be the truth. "This place can only be found by the lost. The fact that you're here means you're the ones in need of help."
His tongue might've seemed sharp if he wasn't totally monotone, but the word choice itself did all of the biting his vocals lacked.
"Your plight is irrelevant to me, but I will hear you out. If your goal is reasonably within the realm of possibility, I will make it my personal responsibility to make sure you see it through."
There were several things wrong with his statement, anyone with any experience of the outside world would be able to feel it. He was deliberate, although without questioning him it would be very difficult to come to that conclusion.

“Huh —so you’re aware about it?”
The boy showed genuine surprise after hearing what the man had to say. Despite it, his overall demeanor showed no signs of cooperating —something the boy had seen coming. Even if the man was willing to help, so long as their own “plight” was within possibility, the boy didn’t want to bother anyone outside of the issue itself.
“Although I appreciate your concern, I’m not in need of guidance” the boy replied, “I’m not lost, as you put it —I came here deliberately, in hopes to find something. If anything, I’m lost in knowing where to search first.”
The falcon rested on the boy’s shoulder, once the latter allowed it a spot. Fuu looked just as curiously as the boy he was resting by at the man now in front, examining the demeanor and trying to see into their words. Yet nothing seemed to be lying within lines —it was all laid bare. Curious, the boy tilted his head.
“Still… What is it you gain from aiding us?” the boy asked, “Although I’m quite surprised to seeing another person in this world, I doubt that’s the point of focus…” “You’re sure you’re not lost?” the falcon asked. “…” the boy crossed his arms in thought, “If it’s not too much trouble, may I know your name?” he asked, looking directly to the man despite the blindfold, “I’m Dantès D’Artagan, and this is my Familiar, Fuu. Who’re you?”

Very interesting - the boy wasn't lost in a physical sense, though he made it clear he doesn't know his way. In fact, had his companion not posted the question, it would've been the first thing to cover in a reply reiterating that a sense of 'lost' is not always in terms of a physical direction. The young man would avoid being redundant, the boy would come around in due time.
"Satisfying my curiosity. You're not from around here, or anywhere I've previously traveled." While he answered the question with a surprising amount of honesty consider who was speaking, he would keep his cards close to the chest. There was definitely more than meets the eye in regards to this boy, definitely needs not to be underestimated and surely doesn't need to be treated like a child. He was sophisticated and well-mannered beyond anyone he's met at that stature. Had he not been, the man wouldn't even be here.
Of course, the topic of names came up. Might as well nip this one in the bud. "My name isn't important if this is the last we're speaking to each other." It was a regrettable response, since the boy was so polite as to introduce himself first which was a huge score of brownie points in JeY's book when attempting to learn someone's name, but he had a reputation to maintain. Why should the boy learn his name if he wasn't going to inquire into some help?

Dantès looked back at the man with a quizzical look after hearing his reasons, not really sure where to follow. It was only until he left an open answer that the boy smiled faintly. Fuu didn’t bother any longer, instead taking off from Dantès’ shoulder to remain airborne.
“So, unless I request for us to cooperate, you deem this conversation as just a passing diversion?” Dantès asked as he crossed his arms, “Then… If it’s not much of a bother, do you happen to know this world? Anything would help, given that I’m new here.”
Fuu nodded along, remaining in the air as it flapped its wings, looking at the spectacle. It perked up, turning around as it sensed a presence. Dantès was confused at first, although the enemies that had appeared behind him were more than enough reason to stand on the defensive.
“So, they are here, after all!” “This is the Realm Between —of course they would!” Fuu shouted back.
Dantès readied his stance, a rapier materializing in his hands as he readied himself for the battle, all the while his Familiar remained close to him. They were ignoring the man now behind them, focused on the battle that was imminent in front of them —a battle with the Spirits.
“If you’ve never seen these enemies before, do take your leave!” Dantès said, before glancing faintly towards him, “Unless you’re willing to aid us —in which case, I’d appreciate it. I’ll guide you along if necessary!”
The Spirits in front were varied —2 wolf-looking ones, a small fennec one and 3 birds surrounded with electricity. All of them with clear Emblems in their body —the wolves on the front of their chest, the fennec by its fluffiest tail and the birds on their backs.
Their only weak points, where 1 hit would deal massive damage. Dantès knew this, obviously. It wasn’t his first time fighting his kind.

Good, the boy was catching on quick. He was going to have to learn fast that when JeY says he has no attachment to something he will leave the moment he has nothing to gain. A couple actual questions to get the ball rolling (presumably in the correct direction) would be enough to allow the man to decide to stay. this time.
"I'm probably the most qualified to talk about this world. If you want me to divulge anything helpful, you'll need to be more specific about the subject matter you see. Any detail helps."
Honestly, what wasn't in this world that he could share? There would be no use talking since the boy seemed to know the basic overview already; according to the conversation so far. If he wasn't that would reveal itself in time, but to do as he said - provide anything helpful - 'what do you know' wasn't going to cut it. Not in the slightest.
The opportunity to elaborate would be rudely interrupted by unwanted guests of course. The boy materialized a weapon and made a poor assumption that the stranger wouldn't be capable of fighting an unfamiliar foe. Alright... What's the catch then? A quick sniff of their aura determines they're entirely vulnerable - completely corporeal. Looking directly at them... there was an odd concentration of energy emanating from a certain spot on each of them - it was different per creature apparently, but consistent between the parallel forms.
Well, whatever it was, something vulnerable to one dagger was definitely vulnerable to tens of thousands of daggers. Without moving a muscle, an intense blob of darkness began forming in the stranger's hand only to be lobbed briefly after conception into the mass of enemies.
The blob of darkness erupted violently into sandstorm of tiny dark gains, whirling relentlessly around the foes who would come to experience intense dagger pricks from all directions on every conceivable aspect of the surface area presented to the physical realm. The attack was moderate in strength, but ruthless in its viciousness.
Unless they weren't susceptible to pain, the attack would leave them vulnerable after a few seconds when the storm of darkness died down - which does not decide between friend or foe to anyone within its vicinity had the boy or bird decided to rush pre-emptively.
JeY decided he's contributed enough; let's see what the boy's made of.

Both Dantès and Fuu held their charge as the stranger unleashed his attack. The vicious attack was surprising, and even though the damage was spread out, it did throw some Spirits off-guard. The fennec didn’t take much damage, jumping around after the sandstorm subsides, but the airborne enemies had taken a toll, now hovering close to the ground.
Dantès wasted no time —swiftly rushing towards the weakened enemies with the help of his rapier. The weapon was quickly surrounded by a tempest, and Dantès struck in a clear swipe horizontally, his Tempest Strike searched to end them as quickly as possible, ending in a mild success. Given the fact that the Spirit’s Emblem was on the back, his attack didn’t do as much damage as it would otherwise.
The two wolves were stunned for a bit by the sandstorm, but quickly shrugged it off and charged towards their assailant, all the while the small fennec Spirit supported their assault. While Dantès charged against the weakened airborne Spirits, his Familiar took no time in supporting their only possible guide.
“Aim for their Emblems” the falcon said, calm and collected, “Do that, and the battle will be much easier.”
The enemies were lesser Spirits, after all. The battle wouldn’t last long if they fought it smart —and that meant attacking their weak points. Dantès was focused on the enemies that were most weak, given that his forte was defense more than offense.
That didn’t mean he didn’t know how to fair in a battle, though —he was more than experienced enough.
The bird Spirits gave no signs of retaliating against the first attacked, too damaged to even move as Dantès attacked them with swift and accurate strikes. 1 took a final blow, while the rest managed to avoid, albeit very injured. A simple enough attack to their weak point would guarantee end them.

Well, looks like staying out of the fight for the time being wouldn't be an option for long. Understandably so, some of the beasts bearing more fortitude managed to shrug off the storm of daggers and darkness and break into a sprint against JeY. Anything less vigorous in vitality was left to be taken care of by the strange boy and his companion.
Seemed fair, the man could manage his own just as well. In no time at all, he conjured a gigantic sword made of energy - it was probably taller than the man himself, instead he wielded it with such ease and in just one hand. It seemed the two wolves were close enough together that a single swing would potentially connect with both of them.
Some information appeared late in the battle however - the creatures had emblems which were apparently weak points. Well, the explains the mystery regarding the strange cluster of energy he noticed on all of the assailants. He would've aimed for these spots in particular and receiving confirming to do so was music to his ears. He couldn't see any 'emblems' in within the spectrum of light, but rather his own ability to perceive the world around him granted him a unique picture of which to mark his targets.
Anyway: now or never, he supposed. He flicked the massive blade made of energy behind his wrist and launched his arm forward. This caused the blade to go whirling forward - projected to slice through both wolves' emblems directly and hopefully maintain its momentum to keep going. Once the blade left his hand he instantly vanished.
The next part of his plan was simple - reappear behind the wolves and catch the blade, taking its momentum and correcting its trajectory to flip up and around and execute a pouncing slam onto the fennec's weak point. If the blade couldn't slice straight through the first two enemies and keep going, his plan would adjust to reappear wherever the blade ended up and push it into a huge spin attack to actually finish things off.

Jey’s attack hit all of its marks, forcing the wolves to take useless distance as they each received their part. They all shattered in bits of light, quickly fading. That only left the small fennec, although finishing it wouldn’t be an issue as it cowed at its allies’ defeat. Dantès had taken his lot out rather fast despite his defensive prowess, although it meant that the attacks he’d received did little to no damage. Calling his Familiar back to his side, they quickly finished the small fennec of with Dantès’ Smite.
“And with that… They’re gone for now” Dantès frowned, “Although surely, a Traitor will be aware of our presence here…” “Wouldn’t they be just as lost as us, though? Since neither party knows the place” Fuu suggested. “Unlike them, we have no means of scouting through someone else —we need to figure out this world by ourselves.” “Right…” “That said…” Dantès turned towards Jey, “You mentioned that know this place rather well, correct? Then, can I ask if you’ve seen something rather peculiar as of late?”
The young swordsman turned fully towards the other, calm and collected. It was his best option at a time like that —trusting on someone either local to the world, or simply aware of the layout. Whichever the case, Dantès had the opportunity, and wanted to make use of it.
It all depended whether Jey accepted to help, or if there would be something in between. For all he knew, Dantès was almost sure he would be on his own.
“I’m looking for something I know as a Rift —if there even is one here” Dantès explained, “At the same time, if there is no Rift… I’m looking for other Spirits —Traitors, particularly. I believe I can get answers from them even if through confrontation —and I’m certain they’re here, as well. This is one of the places they can manifest their true form without the need of Illusions —it would be nonsensical for them not to use this place.”

And without breaking a sweat, the final enemy was dispatched. The gigantic blade made of energy disappeared in the same fashion it was brought into this world: as if it never existed in the first place. The new travelers made their way back to him to try and continue the conversation where they left off before being so rudely interrupted. The first thing the boy wanted to know if anything's been differently lately.
JeY pointed at the spirit in front of him immediately. After a brief pause, he would justify himself. "Only thing that's changed today is your presence." He could say that with confidence. Had there been anything else interesting going on, he probably would have more to say than idle curiosities and humoring whatever otherworldly endeavors that were going on in the spirit's mind.
"If there's a rift, it's beyond my levels of detection. If you need to find entities corporeal or otherwise I can lead you to them but they'll see us coming."
Although his ability to perceive the world around him was very strong he was far form omnipotent. His abilities worked on the levels of energy around. It would take someone or something very explicitly skilled in the craft to entirely cloak their energy from his senses, but something like a rift was an anomaly - it could exert extravagant amounts of energy, or none at all as simply being a tear in time-space. JeY himself was incapable of opening doors that lacked any energy signature but he's known them to be possible.

Dantès brought a hand to his chin, thoughtful. The first comment caused a chuckle from his part —wishing he could retort in a similar manner, but that was beyond him for the time being. Fuu, on the other hand, laughed at the comment, childishly —displaying what his Summoner didn’t.
“I see…” the boy nodded, “Well, Rifts are hard to detect, even for me… So I guess that’s 2 in the same boat.” “Although… About the Traitors…” Fuu said, worried, “Is it okay to actively search for them…?” “They’re most likely aware of us already —whether we confront them first, or they do so before us, is irrelevant.” “True…” “So…” Dantès looked at JeY with a calm smirk, “If you really are able to sense others near you… Then perhaps it might be of my best interest to count with your help. However, I’m not so sure of what I can offer you, if your aim is to strike a deal.”
Crossing his arms and looking at the blindfolded man in front of him, Dantès tried to think on what to do. Sure, he had someone willing to help, but if he demanded something in return, there was little the young Spirit could offer. The Spirit’s Familiar tilted its head, flapping its wings as it kept itself airborne, observing.
In the end, no matter how polite Dantès was, he had clear short-coming due to his age.
“Haa… I really can’t think of anything…” the boy frowned, worried, “I’m aware that you offered to help, but I feel kind of wrong to accept it without giving you anything in return…” “You know that’s not necessary, right?” Fuu asked, “If he offered his help, then it means he doesn’t want anything back.” “I know, but it still doesn’t feel right…” “Haa… Sometimes you should really stop worrying…”

"Your feathery friend is mostly correct."
Even in a statement that was objectively clear to be an agreement, his dry monotone could be a little overbearing. It was exactly as Fuu said, what the man wanted in return would cost the boy hardly anything more than his time and perhaps patience based on how sensitive the topic was. There was something he wanted, but it was something that the boy could deliver in spades - it's interesting what little value people put on the information they may hold in a foreign world.
"I desire nothing material. When your business is concluded here all I ask is you stay and chat before you leave. I want to know more about who you are and where you came from." Heck, the man would even offer to pay more in terms of currency or services for the kinds of things he wanted to know, but the boy didn't need to know how easily he could up-sell himself. Hell, resolving this little conflict was practically like getting this information for free!
"As for finding the targets you seek, I'm going to open a portal. They'll be able to see the exit but not what's on the other side. Get ready to cross fast and fight immediately. I have to go through last. I will come through and help." He raised his arm to the left - once he received some acknowledgment of understanding the situation, his fingers would extend and a swirling circular vortex of shimmering dark pink, purple and yellow energy would appear with two ornate circular columns to the side, as if it were a fancy doorway to a prestigious mansion.
On the other side would be one of the darker, twistier neighborhoods. Plenty of allies, absence of places you'd likely call home. This was a district of business back doors with poor lighting - enough to get the job done but not enough to keep you feeling more safe than you would usually while out for an evening stroll.
Especially when you know there's going to be a welcoming committee.

“…Is that truly all?”
The boy blinked at Jey’s request, dumbstruck —a sight Fuu only chuckled at. The man… Just wanted to talk? Well, that would be alright, no? Just a simple chat, over maybe tea or snacks —like a group of friends. The sudden thought caused the boy to finally crack, snickering childishly at his own rampant thoughts.
“My, then… I’d be happy to oblige” Dantès nodded, “I never thought such a thing would be up the table, to be honest.” “Hehe… See? No need to worry!” Fuu cheered, flapping vigorously.
The pair looked as JeY explained his plan —although neither would call it a proper one. Hearing how the man’s portals worked perked Dantès up, intrigued by whatever power JeY seemed to have, but reluctant to ask at the moment. Looking at the portal the man conjured —a fancy one, may we add—, Dantès nodded firmly.
“Alright, then —I’ll see you there.”
The boy stepped confidently through the portal, the Familiar following close. Taking the warning of JeY to heart, Dantès had readied his rapier, only wondering what would await on the other side…
Wandering the dark alleys nonchalantly was a teen alongside a lynx. His hands tucked inside his pockets of his coat, he had a sour look in his golden eyes. He knew there was another Spirit in the area —a Loyal, no less, one that surely was after the teen’s tail. The thought alone was disappointing, knowing that it wasn’t that strong of a Spirit to face. He wanted to avoid a boring fight to begin with.
“Tch —Honestly? I’m bored as hell, anyways…” the teen growled, “But even then, a fight’s not gonna help kill that boredom…” “You really think so?”
Charging from JeY’s portal was Dantès, his rapier at the ready and charging forward towards the teen without a warning. The lynx by the teen’s side jumped to block the attack, while the teen himself flicked his hands downwards, revealing a pair of hidden blades under his gauntlets. Jumping back, Dantès faced the newcomer.
“Oh, so it was you?” the teen growled, bitter, “No wonder —you’re not worth my time, y’know that?” “Adrien, was it?” Dantès asked, poised, “So, you’ve the only one here?” “…Disappointed?” Adrien asked with a smirk, his blades at the ready, “Who’d you expect to find? Ruby? Or Kira?” he snickered at the thought, “They won’t bother with the likes of you, y’know that? They’ve got bigger fish to fry.” “We’ll see about that.”

It was exciting to see the boy so easily convinced that there was no ulterior motive to the man's plans. There wasn't of course, but trying to sell that has been so infuriatingly difficult sometimes that he often just doesn't bother trying to continue whatever clown-court negotiation was being made. Someone was reasonable today. A little extra skepticism would've actually been reasonable too, but it's easier to proceed without it.
They went without a fuss. Perfect. JeY walked in behind them just as they weren't visible on his side anymore, as agreed. He caught most of the chat with the new hostiles too - seemed there was a bit of a reunion here. They might've had fair fights against one-another in the past, but there was a new sheriff in town and he was already paid to the highest bidder. There was no point in stalling or reasoning, both parties had their weapons ready and they were both definitely ready to swing. In fact, before he could really comment on throwing the first punch his ally already attacked. No reason to delay now, so JeY got his own party started.
Vanishing from his position and immediately blinking in on a rooftop behind Adrien, the man concentrated a large ball of energy into his palm and fired a fairly wide beam of Chaos energy directly at the pair - a smaller one would've done the trick, but it only would've hit one of them easily, so he decided to make it big enough to land solid hits on both. The more the merrier, right?

“And who’re you s’pposed to be?”
Adrien smirked, his chin held high, as he spotted someone leaving the same portal Dantès had taken, still not lowering his guard. The lynx growled, its black eyes locked on the stranger and ready to pounce in attack. As for Dantès and Fuu, they were focused completely on Adrien and his Familiar, ready to attack and protect JeY in case.
After all, their current foe was no pushover —someone whose bloodlust knew no bounds.
JeY vanished suddenly, reappearing in a roof behind Adrien, readying a fast attack. However, the attack wouldn’t land —none of them did. Made a sudden blur, Adrien had somehow managed to dodge the attack, his blades at the ready to slice throats open and pour blood on the floor —his gaze completely different from the one before.
“Stay out of my way.”
Adrien’s blades shone against the few lights that were visible, unleashing a powerful combo with fists, kicks and blades. In the meantime, Dantès and Fuu were dealing with Adrien’s Familiar, mostly dodging out of the way of the reckless attacks. Dantès, after rolling out of harm’s way, chanted Aeroja to try and force it into a defensive state. All the while, Fuu was ready to support his Summoner with all it had.
This wouldn’t be an easy fight —probably, anyways.

It might come as a surprise to anyone familiar with the otherworldly monotone entity known as JeY that he's very susceptible to direct damage. He was a powerhouse of speed, skill, and functionally infinite energy at his disposal but he was still a meat-suit of flesh and blood. He could use his energy to soften the blow but there's virtually nothing else protecting him from contact once it's made - a definitive glass cannon. Which, adjusted his strategy for survival: just don't get hit.
In theory, one really good blow is all it will take; the hard part was actually landing it.
Adrien's frontal assault was too direct and ultimately too slow to catch JeY off-guard. He didn't take any risks or consider any offense while carefully considering everything his opponent was doing. He had to learn the opponent before he could shift the fight back to offense, lest he become too vulnerable for no reason. Each punch, each kick, each slice, JeY dipped, swayed, and stepped off to avoid each blow with a comfortable margin.
Once the pattern was recognized, the calm stranger to the feud took an opening to throw his opponent off balance and maybe get a few shots in himself. On a particularly high blow, JeY would start a back hand spring with a strong upwards kick attached to it, aiming to clip Adrien as he leaned forward into his strike, Shortly after the kick regardless if connected, a spiral of dark energy burst from the ground and attempted to strike the boy multiple times as it accelerated into the sky.
If his opponent managed to get caught in the chaos, he'd ready another beam of Chaos energy and send it directly at his core to amplify the trauma he was experiencing. If there was no connection to any of the prior attacks, JeY would get back into a defensive stance and anticipate the next move.
"I'll stay out of your way if you give me a good reason."
This wasn't his fight, but he was getting one-hundred percent involved.
