With the grip in the blade firm, Jack pushed forward after Kujo, while the man forced the Heartless to a defensive maneuver. The pole in its hands barely seemed to flinch, however, seemingly unable to be broken. That didn’t mean the enemy’s guard couldn’t be broken, as shown by Jack swinging the blade with the hit landing true.
M’Lyn followed the push with her Umbral Ice, the spiky ice ball honing quickly onto the Heartless and causing it to stagger. Swiftly, the teen pushed on the assault with Adrenaline Strike. Having recovered its stance, the Marial Monkey was caught off-guard by the hazy figures of Jack rushing in to attack, not knowing the real one lurked behind them. With its polearm at the ready, it struck at the decoys, only hitting air and leaving its guard open —an opportunity Jack didn’t leave to waste. The teen swung horizontally, causing quite a bit of damage and forcing the enemy back to the defensive.
They couldn’t let it recover —not when they had a chance to gain the upper hand.
Aladdin had taken Jasmine at a far corner, but only her. The lamp that happened to be near her was still across the battlefield, close enough for Kujo to reach. Aladdin grimaced, wanting to go pick it up, but unwilling to leave Jasmine alone. He glanced over towards Abu, scolding, knowing the small ape would be an obstacle in the battlefield.
“Hey!” he shouted, trying to catch Kujo’s attention, “Don’t let that thing grab the lamp!”
The local knew what the lamp was, after all —hence the reason behind his worry. M’Lyn managed to pick up the order, nodding at it yet unable to move much from her spot, given that her current role was to attack by a distance. With Jack in the Heartless’ front, trying to force it into a corner, the teen couldn’t really do much for it.
It was only Kujo who could try and hold onto the lamp before the Heartless would greedily attempt to take it for itself. Although… What was the importance of the item, for Aladdin to worry so much about the Martial Monkey picking it up?
Perhaps a question for later. The Martial Monkey swiftly blocked one of Jack’s swings, causing him to flinch back and trip a bit. With the opportunity in hand, the Heartless swiftly made its way towards the lamp!

Jack and M’Lyn were quick to take advantage of the opening Kujo had created. It was the main reason he had charged in, after all. With his powers, it was easiest for him to act as a vanguard, blowing past the enemies defenses to provide striking chances for the others. He’s gotten good. No longer was Jack seemingly hesitant with the odd blade, each swing decisive and accurate as Kujo watched the teen continue to press the giant Heartless. ”Hey!” Aladdin’s shout caused Kujo to turn, giving him a raised brow and a mild look of annoyance. Couldn’t he see they were busy, here? ”Don’t let that thing grab the lamp!” His emerald gaze fell on the glinting gold on the ground.
Lamp? Was that what that thing was? It didn’t look like a lamp he had ever seen. Isn’t the heirloom a tiara? Then again, anything the Heartless seemed to be after was something Kujo didn’t mind getting his hands on first. ”Can’t I catch a break?” Sighing with only mild annoyance, the man saw the large Heartless trip-up Jack. Sure enough, they were rushing for the lamp. ”Tch—“ A faint burst of light surrounded him and his guardian as the man became a blur of lavender. Within a breath, Kujo stood next to the lamp, his Akogare facing the coming Heartless with its fists raised as Kujo knelt down and lifted the small artifact.
”—pain in the ass.” Grumbling to himself, he eyed the small device, still unsure of how it functioned as a lamp. If he was the optimistic type, he’d be wishing that the Heartless would simply disappear. Wishes were for fools, though. Nothing in life happened from simply wishing for it. He had learned that reality at a young age. Turning his gaze towards the Heartless as his Akogare would greet it with the flurry of fists that was its Wakeru ability—Kujo slipped the golden lamp into his inner jacket pocket. He’d have thrown it to Aladdin—but considering the nature of the Heartless they faced, the man was wary to give it any opportunity to swipe it.

Caught off-guard thanks to its reckless approach, the Martial Monkey flinched as Kujo stepped between it and the lamp it aimed to grab. It then received a hard pummeling as the Akogare’s Wakeru, staggering a bit as it tripped back.
Recovering his step, Jack wasted not a single second, cutting through the Martial Monkey’s defenses with his Brandish ability. Appearing besides Kujo, staggering a bit at the recoil, the teen glared at the Heartless after the attack struck true. M’Lyn followed along with a Thunder spell of her own. Kujo’s maneuver as he saved the lamp in his pocket would cause a reaction. In an instant, a blue mist seeped from his pocket, quickly taking a humanoid shape. Jack staggered a bit, caught off-guard by the gesture, and same for the Miqo’te. As for Aladdin, he grinned widely, although the reaction altogether had caught him by surprise too.
“HeeeeeeeeeeLLOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!”
The battle was brought to a halt —even the Heartless in front of the group was looking bewildered as the Genie made his entrance —perhaps too grandiose. The only thing missing were the fireworks and drumrolls, really.
“Man, Al, where've you been? It's been a while since …Hmm?” the Genie frowned, leaning towards Kujo with little to no care, “You’re not Al… Who’re you?” “Genie!” Aladdin cheered, relieved to no end —almost as if he was reuniting with an old friend. “Sorry, Al —but this guy’s apparently the new boss” the Genie shrugged, seemingly giving up on that fact. Turning towards Kujo, he raised an eyebrow in curiosity, “So? Why’d you call me out?” “What the hell’s goin’ on?!” Jack shouted, dropping his guard. “And who’re you, kid? Wait…" the Genie looked around, confused, "Where is this? Where are we, and who're you lot?” “Can’t you do something about that thing?” Aladdin asked in a shout.
Genie tilted his head at Aladdin’s request, only to realize what was happening. The Martial Monkey seemed to be enraged, its flames over its head burning even brighter than before. Was it frustrated? It seemed to be the case… Jack readied himself once more, seeing he couldn’t do much about the Genie situation, and instead focusing on the battle ahead. M’Lyn, on the other hand, was completely bewildered, unable to process what was happening.
Genies in general weren’t a common occurrence in Eorzea, that was for sure…
“You… Want me to get rid of that?” the Genie asked Kujo, crossing his arms as he questioned, “Isn’t that a pretty lame first wish? I haven’t even gotten to explain the contract yet!” “Genie…!” “Oi, are we fightin’ or not?!” Jack shouted, blocking the Martial Monkey’s polearm and struggling to push it back, “I could use a hand here…!” “Hmph… I hate it when people are being pushy…” the Genie huffed, in a peeved tone, “Alright, alright… But I need to hear it from you, if that’s what you wish. I guess I can explain the deal later…” he finished with a shrug.

Kujo gave a genuine look of confusion as blue mist began to pour from his pocket—forming a shape that resembled a person all too quickly. What is that supposed to be? The massive blue Genie’s entrance was insanely loud, causing the man to immediately grimace and display a look of pure annoyance. ”Man, Al, where’ve you been? It’s been a while since…Hmm?” The Genie seemed to have a similar look of confusion on their own face now as they scrutinized Kujo. ”You’re not Al…who’re you?” Everyone seemed to be confused other than Aladdin, who greeted the large mysterious being in a way that betrayed their history. Genie? Wait…he’d heard a story about genies before, when he was a kid, hadn’t he? ”What the hell’s goin’ on?!” Jack had seemed to be at a loss for words until now, just as lost as everyone else.
Brightness from the burning flames above the Heartless caused Kujo’s gaze to return to the enemy. He hadn’t forgotten about it of course, but it seemed to be less dazed and confused now. ”You…want me to get rid of that? Isn’t that a pretty lame first wish?” Kujo raised an eyebrow in response, staring up at the large djinn with a skeptical glance. Wish? He didn’t believe in things like that. Wishing never did anything for anyone. ”Oi, are we fightin’ or not?!” The Martial Monkey was back in action, though Jack wouldn’t be able to hold it off forever on his own. M’Lyn seemed unable to offer support—still stunned in disbelief. ”Tch—the hell?” Sighing a bit, the man glanced back up into that jovial blue face.
Let’s call the bluff. He didn’t believe in wishes, but Kujo figured it’d be easiest to expose the fraud sooner rather than later. ”Yeah. Get rid of it. That’s my ‘wish’.” Even as he said the word the man rolled his eyes, his Akogare remaining at his side for when the ‘wish’ failed to happen. He’d rush to Jack’s aid in a moment—but for now, he wanted to see what the deal with this ‘Genie’ was.

“Ooooooookay, one removal of an annoying overgrown monkey coming rrrright up!”
The Genie nodded, crossing his arms with a wide grin. Jack was still struggling against the Martial Monkey, able to hold his ground for enough time before the Genie used his magic. M’Lyn recovered her stance, but didn’t have to do much as the Genie appeared right beside the Heartless.
With a magician’s top hat and coat, the Genie had apparently made the battleground a stage. Pulling the Martial Monkey with no care at all, the Genie tossed it into a classical magician’s box. Jack flinched, noticing the guard being broken and staggering back —finding himself at the front row of a fresh magician’s show.
“Wwwwwwelcome to Genie’s Magic Show!” the Genie said jovial, “So, without further ado, it’s time to make this nuisance disappear! And a one two…”
With almost spastic movements, the Martial Monkey was enclosed into the box, unable to break free from the Genie’s magic as he played about. The door of the box was closed, and without wasting a second, the Genie bopped the box with his magician’s wand. Making magician sounds, the Genie then covered the box with a cloth coming out of nowhere.
“At the count of three!” the Genie announced, “This annoying monkey with no manners shall be gone in a flash!”
Counting to three rather fast, the Genie pulled the cloth, revealing the box being completely gone. He then dismissed the cloth in the air, disappearing along his attire, and the Genie proceeded to then clean his hands and glance over at his newfound audience.
“Well, did you like the show?” he asked, grinning. “Y-You just…!” Jack was shocked, “Did you just…Huh!?” “Get rid of it? Yeah” the Genie nodded, “In a one, two, three, it is gone and never to return!” “H-How…?!” “…Alice?” M’Lyn tried reaching for the Navigator, “Is that Heartless still near?” “N-No… The reading went as soon as he pulled the cloth…” Alice replied, in a mix of shock and amusement, “T-That was… So cool…!” “S-Sis, focus…?” Jack replied, smiling with unease. “Still, what was that?” the Genie pouted, “Meh, whatever —it’s gone now, so that’s 1 wish done, 2 more to go!”
The Genie seemed pleased, while the group was in utter shock. Just what was he? Jack’s knowledge of “genies” wasn’t unknown, but he had spent so long without hearing any fairy tales, that he’d forgotten the details. M’Lyn wasn’t an option of knowledge, either, having never known what a “genie” was to begin with.
With its job done, the Genie disappeared and appeared back near Kujo, still paying no attention to anything else —seemingly uncapable of it. Crossing his arms, it seemed to ponder, yet quickly dismissing it as it remembered of something of greater importance.
“Oh, right! I need to explain how this goes, right?” the Genie asked, “So, I, the Genie of the Lamp, can grant you 3 wishes in total —although you have 2 left because of that little wish you had earlier” it nodded, “Of course, I can’t do everything —my power’s got some limitations, y’know? So… First rule is: ya can’t ask for more wishes. That’d be kinda rude, right? I need a break every 3 wishes!” “…What the hell’s this mission’s gotten to…?” Jack looked bewildered, “I can’t keep up with all this…!” “Second rule: I can’t bring people back from the dead” as he said so, the Genie enacted a scene of a zombie coming up from the ground, as he used a comical spooky tone to his voice, “That’s kinda messed up, too! And last rule: I can’t make anyone fall in love with you! That’d be pretty meaningless anyways, don’t you think?” “…In order words, the wishes you grant are selfish wishes?” M’Lyn asked, skeptical, “And there’s no catch whatsoever?” “Well, the only catch would be that you need to rub the lamp to get me out” the Genie shrugged, “It’s pretty cozy in there, believe it or not! But a lamp’s still a lamp —I need some fresh air ever three thousands years or so! Oh, and uh... If it doesn't cross with any of the rules stated before, I can make any wish come true.” “This is Genie” Aladdin introduced, looking at the trio, and particularly at Kujo, “So long as you hold the lamp, you’re the Genie’s master —and it’ll listen only to you. Of course, that is until your wishes have been all used up.” “…How do you know that?” Jack asked. “Oh, uhh… Well…” Aladdin looked away, sheepish, “I… This isn’t my first time in the Cave of Wonders —I actually came to steal the lamp for someone else… But they ended up stabbing me in the back…” “…A thief will remain a thief, I suppose…” M’Lyn sighed.

Genie’s agreement to ‘get rid’ of the Heartless caused Kujo’s eyes to roll as the man crossed his arms. Watching with a skeptical look on his face as Genie began to perform rather over-the-top displays of his magic. Well…he’s at least got some powers. Would any of it really fall under the category of ‘granting a wish’, though? ”Wwwwwwelcome to Genie’s Magic Show!” As the battlefield transformed into a stage, Jack being safely placed in the spectators seats, Kujo’s brows raised as he watched Genie trap the Heartless with ease. ”At the count of three!” Well, they were certainly demonstrating a show.
Revealing the now empty box, the Genie dismissed the cloth as Kujo’s arms uncrossed and fell to his side—his gaze one of visible disbelief. ”Where did it—?” Grumbling to himself, the man scratched at the back of his head, his eyes narrowing a bit at the Genie. Just where did he send the damned thing? Surely he couldn’t have literally made it vanish into thin air—right? Then again… Glancing over at M’Lyn, Kujo was reminded of the fact that magic did indeed exist on other worlds. Just because it didn’t back on his home world didn’t mean other worlds abided by the same ‘rules’ or logic. ”Well, did you like the show?” Genie seemed rather pleased with himself.
”Alice? Is that Heartless still near?” M’Lyn seemed to be skeptical as well, though Alice confirmed that the reading was simply gone. ”T-that was…so cool…!” The girl’s excitement crackling over the comms returned Kujo to reality, shoving his hands back into his pockets as a faint smirk lingered on his face. Tch—she’s excited. At the end of the day, it was nice the Navigator was able to get some enjoyment from what was happening. ”So that’s 1 wish down, 2 more to go!” Collecting himself, Kujo’s face had returned to a serious and stoic demeanor as the Genie appeared at his side in a puff of smoke. ”I need to explain how this goes, right?” Kujo blinked in surprise—the Genie was going to explain to him how his magic worked?
Grant…wishes? He hadn’t ever seen magic that worked like that. It wasn’t really an explanation, but more of an instruction manual for him as ‘finder’ of the lamp. His adventure was getting more and more bizarre every world they went. ”Of course, I can’t do everything—my power’s got some limitations, y’know?” The comment caused Kujo’s brow to raise. He hadn’t expected that. So, even ‘granting wishes’ had their limitations, then? Hearing how he wasn’t allowed to wish for more wishes, Kujo scowled mildly—the thought had crossed his mind, to see how far he could push this magician’s powers or bluff. ”Second rule: I can’t bring people back from the dead.”
The Genie’s imitation of a zombie rising from the ground led Kujo to believe it would have rather grim consequences if one tried. There wasn’t anyone the man would have wasted a wish on, in that regard, anyway. ”Last rule: I can’t make anyone fall in love with you!” So, the limitations were around the number of wishes granted, no necromancy/resurrection and no manipulating others feelings. This is… It didn’t matter how level headed he was—Kujo was finding all of this insanely ridiculous and near impossible. ”In other words, the wishes you grant are selfish wishes?” M’Lyn seemed skeptical as well. Though he didn’t show it, Kujo was thankful for her question. Right. There’s always a ‘catch’. If the Genie was really truthful in all of this, there had to be some penalty for getting your wishes granted, right?
”Well, the only catch would be that you need to rub the lamp to get me out.” Kujo blinked in genuine surprise, his eyes widening slightly. ”If it doesn’t cross with any of the rules stated before, I can make any wish come true.” No way! That couldn’t be right, could it?! There’s…no catch? How could such a powerful entity exist? Just who knew about this lamp, and why hadn’t it been something stirring up a war on this world by now? ”This is Genie. So long as you hold the lamp, you’re the Genie’s master—and it’ll listen only to you.” So, as long as the small golden ‘lamp’ remained in his pocket, the Genie would grant his wishes? Hearing how Aladdin’s original intent had been to steal the lamp for someone on this world, Kujo’s eyes narrowed a bit.
Then again, the teen had been upfront about being a thief from the beginning. It seemed they had gotten what was coming to them though, as they had been backstabbed in the process. Guess that’s how he learned about it. In a way, it seemed just. Looking back at the Genie, Kujo gave the tall djinn a mixed look, one that showed his confusion. ”So, you’re serious?” The concept was staggering, really, even for one like him. Despite the Genie’s humorous nature and witticism, they hadn’t seemed to be joking about any of the conditions or wishes when explaining everything. This is…real? Shaking his head a bit, Kujo dismissed his Akogare as he tried to wrap his head around everything.
This was definitely the weirdest mission he’d been on so far.
The hell is this world? Genie’s, giant caverns with tiger heads, thieving monkeys? This was crazy.
Sighing a bit, Kujo finally shrugged, collecting himself.
”Alright. You’re magic’s mine, for now.” Turning to the Genie, he shoved his hands in his pockets and seemed back to his usual stoic self. Despite that, the man truthfully had countless reeling thoughts. He had no idea what he’d wish for. What I want? He doubted the Genie could grant his wish of understanding his bizarre powers more—that didn’t really seem like something magic could fix—only knowledge. The same aspects went for wishing for information about Jack’s weird ‘key’. Tch—figures. Of course, even though he had been able to find himself in this situation, what he wanted was in no one else’s reach other than his own. Then again… There was one other thing the man could think of.
It had been some time, since he had seen her. It wasn’t like his cellphone worked off of his home world, or was even charged. That wouldn't be the worst. Then again, he’d have to consider it more. If he only had two left, and the Genie really wasn’t lying, they wouldn’t be something he’d want to waste. ”Let’s get out of here, first.” Gesturing towards Aladdin and Jasmine, Kujo glanced back towards M’Lyn and Jack. ”We don't want to stay long with her like that.”

Hearing Kujo’s question, the Genie crossed his arms with clear annoyance. He still doubted his words? Well, the skepticism seemed to leave after a while, once the man stated that the Genie’s magic was his for a while —until he used his 3 wishes, or simply passed the lamp onto someone else. Whichever the option, the Genie didn’t have much say in the matter, since he was obliged to obey the holder of the lamp.
”Let’s get out of here, first.” Kujo’s order was well-received, as both team members nodded in agreement. M’Lyn headed back first, and Jack took a while, waiting on the rest to leave as he remained deep in thought. His hands in his pockets, he mulled over the rules the Genie had gone by…
“Yeah… That would’ve been too much ta ask, right…?” he thought, sighing.
Unconsciously, the teen bit his lips. Even if that wish was capable of being granted, Jack wasn’t able to voice it aloud —not with his sister watching, or rather, listening. As time passed, those secrets were getting harder and harder to keep quiet about. Aladdin carried Jasmine outside, without the need for help. Surprisingly silent, the group managed to leave the Cave of Wonders with ease. Waiting for them was an ornate carpet, seemingly down until the group exited the cavern. Aladdin smiled, somewhat relieved at the sight.
“’Ey, carpet old pal!” Genie greeted just as eager as before, “Were you waiting for us, boy?” “Uhh…” Jack looked uneasy, “What’s goin’ on…?” “…I’ll be leaving Jasmine back at the Palace” Aladdin said, turning towards the team, “With Carpet here, it’ll be easy. Sorry I can’t bring you along, though.” “…A flying carpet?” M’Lyn sighed, “And here I thought airships were already grandiose…” “Wait, d’you say airships?!” Jack’s eyes looked eager as he looked at the Miqo'te, “Why’s this the first time I’ve heard you mention that!?” “Is it now the time to ask, I wonder?” “Well, you know how this goes, Al” the Genie shrugged, “Gotta stick with the kid until his wishes are all used up.” “It’s okay —I’ll be fine on my own.” “You’ll be able to get those two out, right?” Jack asked Aladdin, “I mean… Once she recovers.” “I’ll make sure of that —we settled on a deal, right?”
Aladdin’s grin was hardly one meant to deceive, as he waved good-bye and boarded the Flying Carpet with destination for Agrabah’s Palace. The team watched as he left, a cold breeze coursing through at dusk’s arrival. Jack reached for Alice, asking of her whereabouts as well as the status of the trio that was with her.
“They’re all here, but mostly just doing nothing…” Alice said, somewhat annoyed, “Do you want me to go to where you are?” “Right now, we need to wait” Jack said, “But only problem would be knowing whenever Lancer and Corrine are set free —we’ve got no means to communicate with Aladdin or Jasmine, do we?” “Meh, leave that to me!” the Genie nodded, “If it’s just a matter of keeping in touch, that doesn’t need to be a wish! Al and I are good friends, y’know?” “You… Can do that?” “Of course! That’s be no biggie! It’s not even that draining!”
The Genie hardly seemed to lie about it, although given that it was just a recent interaction, the teen didn’t know what to think of it all. From the first moment since meeting the Genie, the powers he displayed were hardly something comprehensible.
Not to mention… Once more, the teen bit his lip, looking away from the Genie as if to avoid the focus of current frustration, despite the fact that the Genie had nothing to do with it. It was just a rule he had to follow… Yet something about it annoyed him.
“If only I could just… Wish for that…” “…You’re bleeding” M’Lyn berated. “…Huh?” “You were biting your lip, just now. Did you not even notice?” “…Force of habit —sorry!” Jack said sheepish, scratching the back of his head, while he wipped the blood from his lips with his free hand. “Haa… In the meantime… We should go back and reunite with Alice, right? And you can just let us know whenever Aladdin’s done his part of the deal, can you not?” “Well, I’m s’pposed to be besides the holder of the lamp, but…” the Genie looked at Kujo, “If you don’t mind that, I’ll be going now!”

The way out of the cavern proved silent and undisturbed, something Kujo was silently grateful for. It allowed him time to mull over his thoughts. Wishes…? What would he use them for? All he wanted was information—he already had power. Tch—not like it’s enough. His Akogare, though a powerful contender in the means of combat, speed and perception, hardly allowed him to take on his endeavors alone. That was why he had joined the Brigade in the first place. Forced to rely on Jack and the team’s transportation, Kujo had found himself a part of this interstellar reconnaissance team out of the fact that he couldn’t travel off of his world on his own. Having to rely on others like that was a never ending thorn in his side.
Hm…would that work, though? Could the Genie grant him the powers to travel between worlds, just like that? Emerging outside, the man’s brow raised once more at the sight of a hovering carpet flying through the air. Today was just getting more and more bizarre. ”’Ey, carpet old pal!” Of course the magical djinn knew the weird flying rug. That at least made sense. ”I’ll be leaving Jasmine back at the Palace.” Aladdin had completed their task—having rescued the princess. ”And here I thought airships were already grandiose…” M’Lyn’s comment caused Kujo’s look of confusion to deepen—was she talking about the spaceship they were in?
Jack’s reaction made him think it was something different.
”Well, you know how this goes, Al.” Kujo gave Genie a mild glare at the mention of ‘kid’, though by no means was 20 an ‘adult’ age to all. While Jack confirmed the deal with Aladdin, Kujo crossed his arms and glanced around at the vast desert around them, settling into early evening with a coming brisk wind. Well, I won’t have to use one to free them, then. Truthfully the thought was a little sour, as the man still had no idea what to do with this rather loud and jovial Genie tethered to him now. Of course, the prospect of that kind of power was too much to simply throw away, still. Hearing how the djinn would make communications possible with Aladdin for the release of the other members only eased their situation more.
For once—it almost looked like Kujo was going to catch a break.
”If you don’t mind that, I’ll be going now!” Kujo gave the Genie a nod, shoving his hands into his pockets as he sent the djinn off. ”Yeah. Stick with him until he gets the results we need.” It would give him more time to think about his ‘wishes’ anyway. After sending the Genie off, Kujo would walk with the others back towards the ship—seemingly more ‘in his head’ than usual as the stoic man stalked in silence for most of the trip. The power to travel between worlds, huh? Was that really something the Genie could do?

The Genie took off, made a blue blur as he chased after the Carpet. With things now settled, the group would have an easy way back to the Almira.
The welcoming party wouldn’t be a big one —Andreas was still somewhat uneasy, Mary was pissed beyond repair and Troy had tried to help Alice in her work, being denied and therefore left down. The two boys tried to keep each other in high spirits, although with Alice not giving them the time of day, keeping optimistic would be hard…
“Welp —this ain’t somethin’ I was lookin’ forward to…” Jack teased at the sight, heading directly towards Alice, “How’d it go?” “Ah… Welcome” Alice turned to meet him, “Umm…” “We’ll be waitin’ on a bit —don’t worry” Jack patted the girl’s head, “More importantly… You did great, sis.” “Ehehe…” “We just wait until those two are taken out, then?” M’Lyn sighed. “Wait, what?!” Andreas shouted, “Hold on, what happened?” “We caught your thief” Jack shrugged, “And we can clear those two out. Legit only took one battle that… Somehow solved itself…” he finished uneasy. “Tch… We could’ve done it ourselves…” Mary mumbled. “You want to say that again?” M’lyn dared, causing Mary to shut her trap immediately. “Then, can you help us back to our ship?” Troy asked Jack, “While we wait for Lancer and Corrine…” “…Do you remember where you left it, at least?” “I do.” “I managed to track it anyways” Alice informed, “You can take a look with your visor.” “Got’cha. Let’s goin’, then” he turned towards Kujo and M’Lyn, “You two can stay here —I’ve got this. If it’s just gettin’ them to their ship, I should be able to fight whatever comes across.” “You say that… But…” M’Lyn crossed her arms. “If you need to know, the ship’s not too far from here” Alice indicated, “If there are Heartless around, then they can avoid them for a bit.” “C’mon, you lot —time to get you back in position.”
Jack led the other trio out of the Almira, leaving Kujo, M’Lyn and Alice behind. The Navigator walked towards the two, looking up towards Kujo in particular, a childish intrigue in her eyes as she cupped her hands over her chest. M’Lyn looked at her with unease, only wondering what it was Alice wanted.
“Can I meet him?” she asked, “Plea~se?” “He’s not here right now —he’s with Aladdin” M’Lyn said, a faint smirk in her face, “He’ll let us know whenever we need to enter Agrabah to go pick those last two members up.” “Hmm…” Alice puffed her cheeks, deflating. “You’ll meet that Genie eventually —why not wait a little longer?” “I don’t wanna~!”
M’Lyn sighed at Alice’s display of childishness, giving up almost immediately and left to her own room, leaving a bitter Alice behind. The girl wasn’t bitter at Kujo, however, but she just didn’t want to wait even longer. But if that was the only option left… Couldn’t she get a meantime reward?
She glanced towards Kujo after recovering her composure, noticing the charred sleeves in his jacket, yet no wounds to be seen. Curious, she tilted her head, a hint of worry in her eyes.
“What… happened? I couldn’t see everything from when you all fought… Are you okay?”

Arriving back at the ship, Kujo had begun to settle on an idea for his second wish. With that annoyance out of the way, the stoic man was a bit more at ease. ”Ah…welcome.” Alice seemed uneasy upon their re-entrance, clearly due to the other unit’s presence. Kujo couldn’t help but to smirk a bit at that. ”We caught your thief.” Of course it had been a Heartless. The damned pests always knew how to be a nuisance. Leaning against the wall with his arms crossed, the man waited while they began to focus on their next directive. One the other two unit members were free, they’d have to get them back to their ship—if it was even up and running by the time they made it back.
”I managed to track it anyways.” Alice was always a step ahead of the game—a trait Kujo felt not enough of the other unit’s team members had. ”Got’cha. Let’s get goin’, then. You two can stay here—I’ve got this.” Though Jack’s decision caused him to raise a brow, the man in lavender didn’t object the idea. ”Do what you want.” Shrugging a bit, it seemed Kujo had come to believe in the teen’s abilities. Back on their first mission, the man wouldn’t have trusted the guys skills nearly enough. They had fought together enough times by now, though—not only had Jack improved by miles, but the odd ‘key’ he held seemed to be quite powerful on its own, too.
As Alice walked up to Kujo and gave him an expectant look, the man would have leaned back if he wasn’t already up against a wall, grimacing a bit. ”Can I meet him? Plea~se?” For a moment, he had no clue what the girl was talking about. ”He’s not here right now—he’s with Aladdin.” M’Lyn helped clear up what she had meant, causing him to sigh a bit with a faint smirk on his face as he shook his head. She really is excited about the Genie, huh? It seemed despite the Navigator’s serious skill and determination while on-the-job, they truly were just a young girl at heart. ”Hmm…” The sight of Alice puffing her cheeks only seemed to deter M’Lyn, who quickly gave up after the girl’s refusal to wait.
The Miqo’te made her exit, swift as ever, as Kujo noticed Alice’s eyes lingering on the singes of his jacket sleeve. ”What…happened?” Her question caused him to recall the bonk on the head he had received from M’Lyn, causing his smirk to turn into a faint grimace as he shoved his hands into his pockets. ”Are you okay?” Sighing a bit, the man had a mild look of annoyance on his face—though it was mostly directed at himself. If he hadn’t acted up beforehand, he wouldn’t be in this situation. Tch—dammit, M'Lyn… She was too right for her own good, in his opinion. Of course Alice would be worried if she had seen what he had done—something he hardly wanted to force on the girl, especially after their last few interactions.
”Yeah—I’m fine.” The grimace faded as he gave the girl a nod. ”Whoever gave the Heartless magic is a real bastard, though.” For once, Kujo almost seemed to be making a joke—though it almost felt awkward considering his rather stoic and serious demeanor. Despite the mismatch, it seemed the man had really considered the weight of the girl’s words from before.

Still puffing her cheeks, Alice listened. At first she was annoyed, given that Kujo seemed to be rather nonchalant about it all, but the next comment was a little surprise. Alice blinked a bit, forgetting the worry she’d come across, only to bring a hand to her lips and muffle a giggle.
“So that’s what it was…?” she asked, giggling, “Well… I’m glad you’re okay. You shouldn’t be so reckless, still…” she berated, “Although…” Alice leaned forward, trying to see the wounds in his forearms, “Hmm… There should be marks… Right? But there’s barely any…” glancing over at Kujo, she tilted her head, “Why’s that?”
Her curiosity, this time, was justified. The same way Alice didn’t know much about Jack’s recent powers or M’Lyn’s magic, she had no clue what Kujo’s Akogare was capable of. One part of her was curious, but the other was concerned. After all, the many times Kujo had gotten in harm’s way during fights were far too many to count in one hand.
“In any case… Do you mind if I ask something?” Alice asked, placing her hands behind her and blushing faintly, “Since Jack’s not here… I can’t ask him for my reward… Do you mind?”
“Can you praise me?” she asked, a bit embarrassed, “And… Can I give you a hug, maybe…?”

”Well…I’m glad you’re okay.” Despite the girl’s mild berating, it seemed Kujo had worked to quell the worst of Alice’s concerns. ”There should be marks…right? But there’s barely any…” The lack of worry only left room for curiosity it seemed, not that he could blame her. Mysterious and bizarre, the abilities of his Akogare had taken him some time to understand and utilize. After two and a half years with the power, Kujo had finally begun to realize more of its capabilities. ”It can heal me. Not others, though.” For some reason the man sounded almost bitter as he added the last part—inwardly thinking of that time, when he had awoken to the odd guardian…
”In any case…do you mind if I ask something?” Her sudden question and stance took him off guard, causing him to raise a brow as he remained against the wall, suspicious. ”Since Jack’s not here…I can’t ask him for my reward…” That’s right, Jack had promised Alice something back when they were in the Cave of Wonders. Tch—that bastard. Kujo felt like he was always left picking up after that guy, whether it be their promises, missions, or something else. Holding back a sigh as to not give Alice the wrong idea (it was her brother he felt the minor irritation towards, after all, not her), the stoic man couldn’t help but grimace slightly at the request.
Praise…? It wasn’t something he was necessarily good at, or used to—or enjoyed doing. This time a sigh did escape him, though it seemed less annoyed and more mildly exasperated. ”Hmph. Alright.” Straightening a bit, Kujo reached a large hand out and rested it on the girls head, though his gaze seemed to glance up past her rather than directly towards her. ”Er—good job…?” He pet her on the head, obviously awkward and unsure about the effect or response it would have. Though he hadn’t answered the request for a hug, it seemed the man really was trying his best here. "You did well." He sighed once more, though this time in relief, finally founding words that he felt suit him better. A faint smirk flickered on his face, though only for a brief moment as he glanced down at the girl under his hand.
"Didn't expect anything less."

Smiling with glee, Alice hummed at Kujo petted her head. The first words made her giggle, knowing how uncomfortable it was for him, but how he finished was just perfect. It made her feel appreciated —something that was more than welcome given her workload. Having to stay back and support from a distance, it was nice knowing that people appreciated her work.
“Ya~y…” Alice hummed, pleased, yet a faint blush remained, “Kujo praised me~”
She noticed his smirk only briefly, although Alice simply chuckled. Even if it was something he wasn’t used to, Kujo didn’t seem like he was completely unaware of it. Being praised by someone else was like a new sort of experience —one Alice liked a lot.
It had happened before with M’Lyn, too, although long ago.
“So… What now…?” Alice asked, taking a step back but never looking away, “Since we’re waiting on Jack… Do you have something in mind?”
Alice had apparently gotten back to a business personality, although most of their mission, if not the mission itself, was already done. They were just waiting on Jack, and then maybe just regroup with the last two members before leaving. Thinking about it caused her to worry, however, since there was another issue that should’ve been acknowledged.
“Now that I think about it…” Alice hummed in thought, “We’re… Not going for the world’s core this time, are we? We’re just helping this unit out, and leaving?”
She looked concerned, bringing her hands to her chest while puffing her cheeks. Even if it wasn’t their job, she couldn’t help it —she knew what the Heartless were capable of, and didn’t really wish for a world to deal with in on their own. If she wished that for another’s world, wasn’t it just as likely for anyone to wish that for her own world?
In a sense, she was a firm believer of that. And being honest, she didn’t want that for anyone.
“I mean… I-I’m not… T-trying to start anything…” the girl said hastily, “But… I’m worried…”

Her reaction caused his smirk to linger, though he pulled his hand away and scratched at the back of his head before composing his usual stoic demeanor with a small sigh. It hadn’t gone bad, at least. Thankfully, Alice was quick to return to business as well, giving the man some breathing room as he resumed leaning against the wall. ”Now that I think about it…we’re not going after the world’s core this time, are we?” Her comment caused him to nod for a moment, crossing his arms over his chest as he mulled it over. Good point. Their mission here was much more straight-forward than usual. Knowing Elena, they wouldn’t want to waste time once the others were freed and all the units members were returned.
Clearly the idea was a sour one for her, as Kujo noticed Alice’s puffed cheeks. ”I mean…I-I’m not…t-trying to start anything…” He raised a brow as she composed herself, though he wasn’t really surprised by her reaction. Of course she wouldn’t want to simply leave a world still plagued with Heartless. She was kindhearted, at the end of the day. ”This world’s got its own protectors.” Kujo shrugged. Though Alice’s bright heart worried and ached to aid this world’s issues, he seemed far less concerned. Much like he was on his own home world, it seemed Agrabah had fighters of its own, able to hold back the Heartless threat. Even if they’re not able to save it—they’ll keep it going, for now.
Truthfully after meeting Aladdin and the Genie, Kujo had become less concerned about the state of this world. It seemed to be in capable enough hands, if they weren’t able to solve the Heartless issue by the time their mission was complete. ”Though—I wouldn’t put it past Jack to stick his nose in business that it didn’t belong in.” Giving Alice a faint smirk, it seemed Kujo was attempting to reassure her. Of course, much like on other worlds, if this worlds ‘core’ revealed itself to them—Jack and that bizarre ‘key’ of his would be able to resolve the issue. Though Kujo himself found it to be a bit of a pain, he knew Alice would appreciate the sentiment enough.

“Hmm…”
Even with the reassurance, Alice couldn’t help but worry. She understood Kujo’s point of view —it wasn’t like she disagreed. But it wasn’t a thought that sat well with her, and so she was worried. If they could do something about it… Why not? That was her mentality, although as a Navigator, she had not a lot of say in what the team would do next.
She was there to support them in whatever decisions they made, not to make the decisions for the team —that was Jack’s job.
”Though—I wouldn’t put it past Jack to stick his nose in business that it didn’t belong in.” There is was —the comment she had seen coming. The smirk that accompanied the expression helped understand that Kujo was looking to cheer her up, if only a little. Although the Navigator didn’t put it past Jack to go on his own to find the core on his own.
Would he, though?
“You’re not wrong…” Alice said with an uneasy smile, “I can totally see him tackling that on his own, though…”
Once again, she puffed her cheeks, although with more annoyance than worry. That comment aimed at something, for sure —something Alice had an idea on, but had no reassurance of. Would it be enough to trust someone else with it?
“Say… Do you know why he does that?” Alice asked, looking at Kujo, “He’s never told me… He always goes around, doing his own thing… It’s like he’s aiming at something, but I can’t tell what it is. And whenever I ask about it… He just dismisses it” she hummed in thought, “It’s been ever since he recovered…”
She would’ve explained further in case Kujo asked, but a sudden beep caught her attention —from the center of communications. Alice rushed towards the screens, receiving an incoming call from Jack.
“So, I got them back to their ship” Jack informed, “I’m hopin’ they can stay put ‘till Lancer and Corrine can join ‘em.” “Okay” Alice nodded, “Are you coming back?” “Not quite. Even if I ain’t really pleased with the way this unit works, they’ve got intel we don’t, so Imma be grabbin’ a copy of it before headin’ there. How’s it going on your end, sis?” “Not much —we’re free for the time being.” “’Kay. Think on somethin’ to make for dinner, then” Jack teased, “I did promise ya a reward, right?” “So you are upholding it!” Alice grinned, giggling, “Okay —I’ll try to come up with something!”
She sighed, happy, standing properly back up and looking at the screens for a bit. She perked up, glancing over towards Kujo as she knew she left something pending, but… If he wouldn’t pursue it, she could just leave, right?
“So, umm… Unless there’s anything you want to mention…” Alice said, calmly, “I’ll go see what I want Jack to cook!” she finished, cheekily.

”You’re not wrong…” It seemed though her mood had increased a little, the girl was worried about her brother. It made sense—family would worry about each other. It was one of its many hassles. ”Say…do you know why he does that?” Alice’s question took Kujo off-guard a bit. Furrowing his brow for a moment as he thought, the man’s concentration was quickly broken by the voice cutting through the comm devices. ”So, I got them back to their ship.” Speak of the devil. Hearing how Jack was going to be gathering up the other units intel, it seemed they were left to their own devices until hearing back from Aladdin and Genie.
The Genie… He still had his two wishes to use, having finally settled on one for now. ”Unless there’s anything you want to mention…” Alice seemed in better spirits, surely due to the fact that Jack had promised to follow through on his reward. Shaking his head a bit, Kujo waved the girl off with a faint smirk. ”Alright. Don’t let him off easy, though.” Truthfully the only person with the answers to Alice’s questions were Jack himself. Even if Kujo had his own information and ideas about everything, it wasn’t really his place to speak on the guy’s behavior. Despite being able to piece the puzzle together, it was all conjecture without any confirmation. It wasn’t reliable.
She was better off waiting until the two of them could have that discussion themselves. However long that takes… After what he had heard from Elena, it was no wonder that Jack tended to keep to himself more often these days. Grimacing a bit at the thought as Kujo made his exit, the stoic man headed for his room, figuring it’d be best to finalize his ‘wishes’ while the others in the ship did their own thing.

”Alright. Don’t let him off easy, though.”
Once again, Alice giggled. It was refreshing, really, being able to share and joke about like that. Not that Kujo was wrong, though —Alice wasn’t going easy at all. If she wanted a reward, it had to be something special, right? It wasn’t going to be something Jack could do in 5 minutes, or in 10.
It would be something that would take effort. Yet despite that, Alice wasn’t against helping in making her reward. A bit for everyone, in the end.
“Will do!” Alice said, cheerful, as she watched him head to his room.
It was clear that the girl was in high spirits despite what had been discussed. A little selfish desire overcame a more concerning worry, but being the girl she was, Alice didn’t mind. Besides, Kujo had no reason to lie —if there were people capable of holding the Heartless back, just in case they couldn’t help with clearing the menace, then the world would last.
That alone was a reassuring thought —they didn’t have to do everything, after all.
“Hmm… What to do, what to do…”
Alice rummaged through the lounge, looking at what ingredients they had. It was mostly basic things, such as flour, sugar, instant noodles and the like. There were a few fresh ingredients though, but nothing exactly fancy. Alice puffed her cheeks, not really able to come up with something. Her favorite meal was a simple one, so it wasn’t special at all. But then… She rummaged through the fresh ingredients, looking for a particular something she knew Jack liked.
“I want my reward… But he deserves one, too!” she told herself, giggling.
Jack arrived a bit later, immediately uploading the info he’d gathered from the other unit into the Almira on his own, since Alice wasn’t anywhere near. Outside was already dark and cold, contrasting the heat from the day. He was surprised to find no one at the Bridge, but he wasn’t going to say anything, either. Once the upload was finished, he went to find Alice.
He had a coin to pay.
“…Huh?”
Jack perked up as he heard movement coming from the lounge, only to find Alice picking up pans and moving ingredients around. His confusion was greater when he saw what ingredients there were. Alice was so focused on her job, that she hardly saw Jack approaching her.
“What’cha doin’ sis?” he asked, causing her to flinch, “You have somethin’ in mind?” “Ah… H-hey…” Alice turned towards him, flustered, “W-Well… Y-Yeah —I had something in mind, but…” “Yeah?” Jack smirked, walking towards her, “Lemme guess… Basing on the ingredients you’ve got here… You want me to help?” “…” Alice nodded. “Wasn’t this s’pposed to be your reward, though?” “It is!” Alice puffed her cheeks, “But it’s also yours!” “Haa…” Jack patted the girl’s head, with fake exasperation, “Sometimes, you go way too far for the rest, y’know that?” “Well, it’s nice when you make others happy!” “…Alright —what’d you have in mind?” “I wanted to do potato chips. Y’know? The ones mom taught me how to make.” “Then… I’m in charge of the meat?” Jack asked, receiving a nod, “Alrighty, then —potato chips and steak it is.” “Yay!”
Cheering with glee, Alice smiled. Knowing that it would be cheesy to mention, Jack simply kept his comment to himself, although he would’ve loved to say that Alice’s smile was reward enough for him. Still, cooking alongside his sister was a nice touch —one he appreciated a lot.
It wouldn’t take long for them to get started, although having it all finished would take a while. In the end, though, it was something special —something to recover the energies spent from their mission.
They had that right, at the very least. Although one could see it as a premature celebration…

After spending a decent amount of time in contemplation, Kujo finally stood up from his seat at the edge of the bed in his room. Still need to figure out one more… Since he wasn’t the type to wish for things, it was a surprisingly difficult decision. Part of him wanted to simply test the extent of this Genie’s powers, whereas another greedier part couldn’t help but think of needless possibilities. The man had even contemplated using an all powerful wish to simply make his sneakers unable to be scuffed, damaged or ruined (he had been cleaning them during his contemplation, always annoyed at how adventures seemed to ruin them). Such frivolous things truly showcased how little he yearned for.
Whatever. Content with at least having decided on his second wish, Kujo exited his room, deciding to go outside of the ship to smoke. Smelling the aroma of cooked meat and fried potatoes as his door opened, the stoic man could hear the siblings clattering and banging utensils in the kitchen as they worked together on making a meal. Hmph. A faint grin lingered on his face as he turned the opposite direction. So he made it back already? It seemed Jack hadn’t gone off on his own, sticking his nose in where it didn’t belong—it was both relieving and brought paranoia and suspicion to the man’s mind. I wonder what he’s planning, now. It wasn't like him, to be thinking thoughts like that. Shrugging it off as he made his way to the Almira’s bridge, the man exited the ship and stood under Agrabah’s night sky.
Similar to the heat, the cold didn’t bother the man at all as he reached for his trusted pack. Walking down the mechanical bridge and stepping onto the soft sand, Kujo found himself appreciative of the isolated solace the desert offered. It was just like a sea—only one he could stand on, staring out at the emptiness all around. He's taking a while. He hadn’t expected freeing the other unit members to be quick by any means (especially if local law here worked anything like in his own home world), though the sky was only growing darker and Kujo couldn’t help but be wary of Aladdin’s absence.
Tch—he better not mess it up. Maybe he should have given Genie more specific instructions—like make sure Aladdin got the results they needed. Sighing as he lost himself to his vice, Kujo settled into the night with his smoke as he leaned against the ship’s exterior.

While the meal was being finished by Jack and Alice, it was finally night-time. Kujo would have a rather annoying message delivered while he smoke peacefully surrounded by a silent desert. Just as before, the Genie returned in a flash, imitating a Greek messenger (if Kujo even recognized it), although mostly to play, quickly getting back in a more serious demeanor having already understood Kujo’s own personality.
He was forced to obey him, so long as he held the lamp —it wouldn’t be okay to make it unpleasant, would it?
“Ok, so” the Genie clasped his hands, getting right into business, “Ignoring whatever this behind you is… The princess just woke up —she’s all good, so it wouldn’t be long before she can settle things” he informed, “Aladdin told her, so no worries there. Given that it’s night-time, though, you might need to wait ‘till morning —that’s just how things work, unfortunately. In the meantime, well… I’m not aiming to rush you, but… Have you thought on your other wishes, or do ya need more time?” “Ah, there you are!”
Alice walked down the Bridge, looking for Kujo to inform him that the meal was done, since she’d wanted to eat with everyone. Taking note of the blue humanoid figure talking to Kujo as he smoked, the girl flinched, bringing both hands to her chest with clear unease. The Genie took notice of the girl’s demeanor, tilting his head in confusion.
It was the first time they’d seen each other —it was obvious why Alice would be uneasy. She always was, whenever it came to meeting people.
“Umm… Uhh…” Alice fidgeted, slowly but surely blushing as she withdrew in her shell. “G’night, lil’ lady!” the Genie greeted, cheerful, “I don’t think we’ve met before, have we?” he asked, receiving a shake of the head —a faint and uneasy one, “I’m the Genie of the lamp —just Genie’s fine, though!” “R-Right…” “What about you? What’s your name?” “I… I-it’s Alice…” “Alice, eh? Okay, then” the Genie nodded. With a maneuver of hands, he began to play with magic, catching Alice’s attention, “Let’s see…”
The maneuvers the Genie did with his hands, suddenly turning away from Alice, caught the girl’s attention enough to draw her out of her shell. Her curiosity always got the better of her, and so she was looking with almost expecting eyes at what was happening next. Was he doing a trick? For her? Or something else? Stepping almost a bit too close, she was startled when the Genie offered her a small bouquet.
Were those… For her?
“Here —a gift!” the Genie offered, earnest, “It’s not often I do this, y’know —you’re lucky!” “…” Alice picked it up, looking at it. Drawing a faint smile, she nodded, “Thank you.” “Y’know?” the Genie teased Kujo, elbowing him a bit too closely for the man’s liking, “Maybe after you’re done with your wishes, you can hand her the lamp. That’s one person I’d be willing to make wishes for, alright!” “You… Would?” Alice tilted her head. “Well, you look like someone who deserves it!” the Genie nodded, but quickly corrected himself, “Er, well… Not like this guy doesn’t deserve ‘em” he shrugged, glancing over at Kujo, “Lemme tell ya, though —some people do not deserve this power. I can’t control who I go with… But I know how to distinguish a good wish from a bad one.”
Alice giggled, still blushing but far less uneasy now —not with the Genie’s upbeat demeanor dragging her softly out of her shell. It was like he was leading her out, holding her hand calmly. The introduction was pleasant enough, although she couldn’t help but wonder if there was even something she would wish for, if the chance came to her.
What could she wish for? It was a tough question . “…Oh, right” Alice nodded, glancing over at Kujo, “Are… You gonna join us, or are you going to stay here?”

Genie’s sudden return had come out of nowhere—the djinn really was able to simply appear out of thin air. Staying leaned against the ship as he smoked, Kujo listened to the djinn’s reports of events in quiet contemplation. Hm…so the princess will be doing most of the work. In that case, there was little for him to be wary of. Surely if there was royalty in this world, they’d be the ones to make all of the important decisions. It was basically the perfect scenario for getting the other unit members out of prison. ”Ah, there you are!” Alice’s voice caused him to glance up towards the bridge, where the girl stood in the doorway, seemingly shy at seeing the Genie present despite her earlier excitement.
The sight caused Kujo to give a small sigh and a faint smirk played on his lips as he smoked. ”G’night, lil’ lady!” Genie was as charismatic as ever, immediately beginning to draw the Navigator out of her shell with his usual humorous demeanor and flashy magic tricks. ”Y’know?” Genie’s nudging with his elbow brought a faint grimace to Kujo’s face as he narrowed his gaze, giving a vaguely agitated sigh as he blew some of the smoke Genie’s way. ”Maybe after you’re done with your wishes, you can hand her the lamp.” Despite the annoyance at the intimacy Genie showed, Kujo found the dinn’s words surprising and intriguing, raising an eyebrow as he paused. ”It’s that easy?” He wasn’t sure what he had expected…but for some reason the man hadn’t thought once his wishes were done the lamp would be something he could just hand over to someone else.
It didn’t go anywhere? There really weren’t any repercussions? ”Are…you gonna join us, or are you going to stay here?” Alice’s question returned him to reality as he glanced up at her and gave a small nod. ”Yeah. I’ll be in soon.” Watching the girl head back inside into the ship, Kujo would wait for Alice to be gone before turning back to the Genie, finishing his cigarette. ”I know my second wish.” He’d wait a moment to let the djinn prepare himself. Remaining leaned against the ship, Kujo’s emerald gaze narrowed a bit as he watched sign for a reaction from Genie. It can’t be breaking the rule if he’s a Genie, right? World Order didn’t apply to all-powerful entities, right? If anything, Kujo expected the djinn to already know about other worlds, even if they weren’t familiar with the Heartless.
”I’m sure you know, but this is hardly the only world out there.” Clang! Knocking on the ship’s exterior with a knuckled fist, the man’s eyes remained on the Genie. ”Without this bucket of bolts, I’d be stranded here.” Pushing off of said ‘bucket of bolts’, Kujo shoved his hands into his pockets as he walked up to the Genie, giving them a serious look as he decided to finally make his wish. ”I want to be able to travel between them without needing a vehicle. It’d be easier if I could just do it myself. That’s my second wish.” Truthfully, it was more than just wanting to be able to go between worlds.
Kujo really just wanted to be able to visit her without having to request the services of Jack or Alice. He also wasn’t a big fan of letting others into his personal affairs…so requesting to see his own mother on their time was completely out of the question. Hopefully the wish would be within the Genie’s limits—though Kujo had considered the possibility of them not being aware of the existence of other worlds. That’s why he had waited for Alice to leave before requesting his wish. Though he didn’t plan on betraying the Brigade or violating their rule about ‘World Order’, he wasn’t sure if this ‘loop-hole’ would be considered genuine in the Navigator’s mind. Technically though, the Genie wasn’t a world resident—but a powerful entity existing in the lamp itself.
