Character Race: Human
Character Gender: Male
About the Character
Personality: Neku is cold and collected, yet at the same time, he is very humble and protective. He never leaves anyone alone when he can help it, and will always give a hand to whoever needs it. Due to his cold and intimidating facade, it's hard for him to be friendly with anyone, and usually spends time alone because of this. There are some times where he does want to be alone, listening to the sounds of the sea of his world to recollect his thoughts. In battles, he usually teases a lot and makes sarcastic remarks, making him a nuisance to anyone who doesn't have the patience to deal with him, while his accurate and harsh remarks can often leave a sour taste in those that don't like him. Yet once someone's gotten used to this, it's actually rather reassuring knowing that someone like him has their back.
Neku is often cold, and will often use strong language or tones to those he's not familiar with. It's also worth mentioning that he's easy to irritate, and, if someone doesn't back away quickly enough, they're bound to start a fight against their will, and against a whirlwind of rage and fury. When found in this sittuations, only these two options might help: either run fast enough, away from him, or you test your endurance against his blade. Otherwise... Well, the outcome's pretty obvious.
Character Appearance: Neku is tall and muscular for his age, measuring at 6' 0'' and 153 lbs., his weight is mostly due to his muscles. He has short, dark brown hair. A bit spiky, leaning more towards the left. His skin is noticeably tan, almost a pale brown, and his eyes are sharp-edged and brown.
He usually wears a blue tank top under a short-sleeved black vest. The sleeves are torn, making one thing that they were longer in some time past. He also wears loose blue jeans, and red-white-and-black snickers with brown soles.
Other than this, Neku has nothing note-worthy on his outfit.
Neku has a blue wrist warmer on his left hand, which he uses to cover a rather bad-looking scar. Why he does this, is unknown. He also has a black cloth ring on his right hand, index finger.

Character Summons: N/A
Character Racial Abilities: "Humans are simple beings with one goal in mind: to survive" ~ Neku
This race has no special ability.
Character Team Attacks:
Number of people involved: 2 (Exclusive to Neku and Tori)
Spells/Abilities involved: Tori – Fire Toss; Neku – Demonic Chaos
Attack description: Tori first tosses her weapon at the enemy, to then quickly be followed by Neku’s Demonic Chaos ability. Deals higher damage than both abilities separately, and it’s an effective way to distract the enemy.
Duration: Immediate
Cooldown: 7 posts
History of the attack: Since Tori and Neku are members of the same Guild, they often have to work together. This attack is one of the many they’ve used in their fight, but it’s only been recently since they’ve been able to perfect it.
Spells/Abilities involved: Mei – Iridescent Guard; Neku – Thunderstrike or Darkstrike
Attack description: Neku first imbues his weapon with thunder or dark, and passes it to Mei, who grabs the spells and amplifies it thanks to Iridescent Guard. It imbues both her and any other ally with thunder-element or dark-element in their weapons, while also raising thunder or dark resistance, restoring a bit of magical power instead of health, raises and the group's morale.
Special ability for all – Everyone's weapons are imbued with thunder or dark-element, and also have increased physical and magical power (increases the damage dealt by allies by 1 tier of damage). Duration – 3 posts.
Cooldown: 7 posts
History of the attack: Much like with "Light Blast", this time it's Neku and Mei's combined strengths. With Neku's use of magic to add elements to his weapons for an attack, and Mei's devotion to protect her allies and friends in battle by supporting them, this ability is a mix of offensive and defensive prowess.
Character Strengths: Quite literally, Neku is quite well known for his brute strength, be it bare-handed or equipped with a weapon. He's also got a very firm determination, never turning back once his mind is set on something.
Character Weaknesses: Not only is he really easy to anger, Neku has no knowledge of magic whatsoever. He can also be a bit hard to approach to, if he's not in the best of moods. Timing with this guy is key.

Character History
Neku has always lived with his two older siblings, Ryo and Sakuya, since their parents' death. His siblings, in particular Sakuya, would always tell him about the worlds outside, and even sometimes, she'd tell him stories that were from their original world of origin. Of course, Neku is unable to remember since, by the time they arrived at Sakura Island, where he lives now, he was only just a newborn child.
Neku always looked up to his siblings, especially Ryo, who worked as a Hunter and protected the island from the many threats that attack on daily basis. However, during a Raid (an event that happens whenever a strong Mark appears, and Guilds team up in order to defeat it), Ryo never returned home. Unlike other fallen warriors, his body was never found, which gave Neku the idea that he was somewhere, yet still alive. With that naive innocence only childrens have, Neku hoped that Ryo would return home again.
After Neku turned 8, he was challenged by his peers to hunt a Mark on his own, to which Neku recklessly accepted. That afternoon, he headed inside the Forest, equipped with only a stick and a few pebbles. As it's to be expected, he posed no threats to the many monsters that leaped towards such an easy prey. While running away, Neku was hurt by one of the monsters that chased him, and recieved a slash to his wrist, which he raised to defend himself with. His yells brought the attention of a passerby, who jumped in to protect him from another attack. That was Sakuya, who grew worried about him after he didn't return home.
A few Hunters and Mages rushed in to help the two, but it was too late for Sakuya. This meant that, from there onwards, Neku was alone in the world, with no one to care for him. Instead of going to an Orphanage, which was the most comon solution for children who didn't have any family, Neku decided to live on his own, and was helped by a few friends who are now his Guild partners.
He currently studies in order to become a Mercenary, contrary to his dreams of becoming a Hunter. Yet despite that, Neku still holds his beliefs about Ryo being alive somewhere. And for that, he'll do anything that lets him get the easiest way to that goal. He also has a rather obvious love interest for Mei, which is made even more obvious with Tori's teasing. Because of this, Neku usually worries about Mei the most, even before himself.
That isn't saying he doesn't worry about the rest, willing to do whatever it takes to keep them close to him, safe and happy.
