Ah, there was her smiling, shining pupil. The first contact was indeed the medicine Henoke needed to wipe whatever scowl he boasted before right off his face and getting him hype for the events to come. no idea what put him in his initial funk, but it was irrelevant now that he was ready to bring it at full power. She was willing to be surprised like just before, and her defensive stance for this battle would let her counter anything reasonable - though 'unreasonable' to her standards would have to be far more ridiculous at this point.
Of course there was the matter of calling out before attacking. Rookie mistake, especially for someone as fast as the chaotic woman. He'd have to learn the hard way that any vocal indication before a move would guarantee its lack of success. There was a twist though - his aura moved with the fireball, and as he noted while attacking he was pretty fast when he wanted to be. Giving credit where credit was due, she silently admitted he had a fantastic control over speed, but his voice would only serve as a detriment.
Let's return to that twist about his movement and why she was complimenting him in the first place. Another surprise, moving in tandem with the fire attack. It's not an unheard of strategy, but moving like that was difficult and not the first prediction she would've made - strike another tally on the 'JeY actually didn't know what Henoke was planning' board for two in a row.
Not a big deal, the trajectory of the fireball and his movement gave away his assumption that he planned for her to still be on the ground at any point. Too bad! Just before either of the attacks would reach her (depending on whichever was closer), she would vanish and instantly reappear a few feet straight up after triggering a shadow warp into the air. What do you do when someone turns up the speed to combat yours? Well, turn it up in response! Not to mention Henoke had a new obstacle: his own fireball.
She wouldn't wait too long to see how it resolved. Upon reappearing, she pointed her left hand straight down and the tiny orb that initially tracked her fingertips at the beginning of the fight erupted into a powerful blast of Chaos energy with the intent of smashing the boy straight into the ground and render him immobile, then letting gravity do its work while she came came down to battle-stomp the center of his torso with her boots. She wouldn't linger long in this pose, using the pushback from the landing to spring backward into the air and land further away and re-stance defensively.
If Henoke managed to react fast enough to chase her in the air, she'd try to block before pushing back and landing away again. If the Chaos blast missed somehow, she'd try to land on him with a chaotically-enfused elbow slam instead, since her psychosis-body would protect her better from that angle.

WHIFF! Crackling golden energy exploded and dissipated from around the Keyblade as it swung and hit empty air, the Firaga spell fizzling out as it attempted to chase and hone in on its target to no avail. Bzzzt! Another crackling energy forced the teen to glance up with a mild look of confusion before shouting out in open surprise. SkooooooOOOOOm! An explosion of pure Chaos energy rained down from above, where JeY had materialized out of thin air. ”Ack!” Despite the boy’s battle reflexes, the guard he raised in time hardly helped in resisting the powerful waterfall of energy that stormed down. ”Urk!” Crushed beneath the weight and power of it all, the guard finally broke as JeY followed up the attack with a battle-stomp—succeeding in blasting through the warrior’s defenses and booting him directly in the face as he was stomped into the grassy field below. CRASH! Due to the woman’s own strength of course, the landing would hardly be soft as a small crater inevitably exploded into the ground in its wake.
Leaping off and back into the air, JeY would be able to see a completely dazed Henoke laying in the center of the crater, their eyes spinning and seeing stars for a moment, though their hand still gripped the Keyblade at their side. ”Phew…that was crazy!” Recovering his senses, the rowdy paladin shook their spiky head before regaining their vision and finding JeY hovering in the sky above. ”I ain’t done yet!” Apparently the difference in strength was hardly daunting to him as Henoke pushed himself to his feet and resumed his battle stance. She’s awesome! He was getting pumped up even more, now! I wonder if she’ll show me how ta do that…? JeY stood above and ahead of him across the grassy field, hovering in midair with seemingly no effort. Even Henoke’s master couldn’t fly around like that. ”Heh, if you’re gonna be in the air…” Muttering to himself as he formulated a rough plan in his head, the boy’s body was already in motion as the gears were turning. Darting across the grass with impressive speed, Henoke used the large Keyblade in his grasp as a pole-vault, digging it into the earth as he used his momentum to launch himself upwards—fueled further by his High Jump.
”Hyah!” As the Keyblade re-appeared in his hands, the spiky haired warrior rose to JeY’s height in the air with ease, spinning as he used the weight of the weapon to gain more speed. ”Thundara!” Unleashing his magic spell, Henoke hurled his weapon directly for JeY as lightning bolts began to be summoned and cascade throughout the area around them with vigor. Arcing through the sporadic zig-zagging bolts of lightning was his Keyblade, its dark steel flashing violently against the crackling magic it ricocheted off of due to the Reflect Raid. It was then the other Keyblade flashed in the boy’s hands as he lunged through the air towards his target—having unraveled the bandages to separate the large weapon into two once more while plotting his attacks. Focus! Scrunching up his eyes, it was now or never—the boy wanted to see if he could use what he learned.
”There!” It was different from before, considering the quickness of it all. In his minds eye was a flash of color—the same color as JeY’s aura, though it wasn’t her full outline. Instead, it looked like a smaller section—he couldn’t tell, as there was no other figure to reference. He didn’t need to know, though—all he needed to see was that one point in the dark and aim for it. With powerful speed and a shout, the warrior unleashed their Zantetsuken in midair, having learned to use the technique without footing despite the warnings their master had given them. Lancing through the air towards the focused point he saw in his minds eye, Henoke darted through the raining thunder and ricocheting Keyblade that caused havoc and chaos around the battlefield as they tried to strike true and follow their new ‘mentors’ guidance!

Using chaos against someone who derives their energy from the very nature of the subject was a bold move, but the woman's own combat senses would be able to pick up what was going on after just three bounces, but even that many was enough to give her a much smaller window of opportunity to retaliate. Being poised for defense was the only reason this attack wasn't going to land, which was another impressive feat for the boy.
The lightning strikes were concerning in their own right but even lightning needed to swell with energy before it became unleashed, with her ability to detect energy it was a matter of a dexterity-supplemented physics puzzle to avoid. She was confident in that regard, but now to deal with the overbearing hunk of metal that could be redirected randomly. Well, since the matter at hand was a physics puzzle this was just another task in the list of things to account for.
How about she answers with a bit of physics of her own?
JeY bent her arms out to the sides with two fingers still extended on each hand and quickly drew a circle over and under until her arms met in the middle and pointed outward - a burst of tight and slightly staggered Chaos energy beams shot out from the edges of the circle at the keyblade mid-flight and caught its path perfectly. The blade (without any further outside influences) would be redirected in a circular fashion rapidly bouncing from the beams and picking up a great deal of momentum from the forces directing it before the last beam shot it back at Henoke with the increased momentum.
It was a quick retaliation, but now to avoid the lightning headed her way she'd let herself fall to back to the ground with a little backflip thrown in for flair, gaining just the little bit of extra distance she needed to avoid one particular bolt, flipping forward again after she was on the ground to escape the rest of the attack as it cascaded behind her.
Dodging the lightning was crucial, since she was fully aware of what was happening next: the boy rushing full speed with her strike. Lightning wasn't really something you'd traditionally block, but weapon strikes were, so it was a deliberate battle plan for things to end up this way. If Henoke deflected his re-directed thrown keyblade attack or dodged it and maintained course, his strike would be met with a single arm and a loud clang.
She would be on guard for a follow-up of some sort, ready to block, dodge, and retaliate as necessary. Unless he managed to think of an immediate follow up or retreat from this position to break off their blade contest, JeY's free hand would break the silence by curling up and delivering a nasty sucker punch to the boy's gut while he kept all of his effort in winning the blade contest from the original strike.

Shit! Lashing forward full-throttle with his Zantetsuken, Henoke had no choice other than to dismiss the separated Keyblade ricochetting through the bolts of waning lightning. Despite the boy’s somewhat thick head, he had enough battle sense to know not to break formation just to block or snatch back the weapon turned on him. Dispersing in a ray of light, the second Keyblade vanished as the original flared with light—fusing once more into the hefty jagged two-handed weapon he’d grown so accustomed to. CLANG! Gritting his teeth, Henoke’s face betrayed his surprise at JeY’s guard. He’d never expected them to simply block their most powerful physical attack point-blank—let alone for the force he was greeted with to feel like a concrete wall. ”Urk!” The warrior’s arms were by no means flimsy, despite his youth, but the muscles ached and vibrated as they were jarred from the force of one beyond his years and a strength beyond comprehension. Despite the sudden halt on his offensive rain, Henoke wore a wide grin as their eyes flared with excitement. It was clear he wasn’t deterred, but instead enthusiastic to test his mettle against one so strong.
”Oof—!” The grin was wiped completely off his face with one of surprise as faint blue washed over his complexion. JeY’s free hand pierced the short distance between them and landed directly into his abdomen. All of the years of training and muscles lining the warrior’s calloused body did little cushion the blow as the wind was knocked clean out of him, his eyes momentarily nearly going a blank white as his clenched teeth slacked into an open gape. Having fused his Keyblade back into one, both hands had been firmly gripping the pommel to enact his earlier move—leaving him wide open to the rather basic yet powerful attack. Despite this, the guard wasn’t broken—the boys strength still pushing against JeY’s blocking arm. ”Urk—so it’s like that, huh?” A somewhat devious and dark tone had come into his voice as Henoke flashed a menacing grin.
His new mentor was certainly different from his original. Both Chirithy and his Master had always droned on and on about honor and swordsmanship—they’d never condoned him using other appendages during a battle. Swoosh! As Henoke moved, the struggle was finally broken with one more powerful slash. Breaking away from the blocking arm, his long leg shot out, aiming directly for JeY’s knee—a swift kick powered with nothing but youthful vigor and muscles honed from years of harsh training. Tup! Tup! It wasn’t the only kick, however, as the orange-haired teen began to nearly hover off the ground, delivering a second and more powerful spin kick as they continued their slash into a wide arcing 360 spin. Their hope was to pummel their way into an opening of some sorts. It was hardly a graceful plan—but it seemed to be pretty on brand for the hot-headed youth JeY decided to play mentor with. Tch—I didn’t see that comin’ at all… He’d been expecting another flash of energy to warn him of an attack—but the sucker punch had caught him completely off-guard.
Then again, that was what they were designed to do.
Nonetheless, Henoke roared out with renewed energy as he worked on keeping the distance close. Maybe seeing the energy wasn't all there was to it? Having used his kicks to try and break free of the struggle, the teen would rush back in, though their approach was anything but straight forward. Digging their large weapon into the earth below, the Keyblade was used as a pole-vault once more, though this time the teen slid close to the grass, using his Sliding Dash once more before trying to deliver a swift upper kick and spin into a powerful vertical slash with the Keyblade. There’d be no concentration of power or skills—he couldn’t use the abilities he’d grown to rely on, they all gave him away. Normal hits…normal hits… In a sense, the boy had such tunnel vision it was nearly like a state of meditation, focusing solely on trying to contain his own energy to strike by surprise, much like JeY had done a moment before.

Dismissing and recalling the keyblade mid-flight. Fantastic reaction, beautiful demonstration of mastery over his weapons. It was ultimately foolish of her to use an owner's keyblade against them assuming they were seasoned fighter, but sometimes the loud and proud fall to the smallest tricks. Henoke has demonstrated he's more than capable, but what's a spar like this without keeping him on his toes? She was proud of her fighting companion either way. He definitely has a brain rattling around in his thick skull of his.
Speaking of mastery and seasoned fighting, another thing fighters would know is that playing defensively for too long has its own downfalls. She had plenty of opportunities to go offensive, but she wanted to see more of what Henoke had to offer - she refrained from crushing him right away and only opted to strike when it would teach him a valuable lesson. The sucker punch was hardly considered offensive as JeY clearly was the one holding her ground, not the other way around. Henoke was unfortunately subjected to the entire blow. Her guard from this point on has worn out its welcome.
The next move JeY was forced to deal with was excellently chosen on Henoke's part. A series of strikes stretching her guard. The knee sweep was obvious enough, but when she went to grab his leg and toss him over his shoulder, she missed. She wouldn't possibly get away with that with the way he moved, threatening her immediately with a second kick with another follow up full of metal. 'Well fuck me sideways...' the stoic woman thought to herself. As the first kick went to connect, it looked like JeY was reaching for his leg but instead she vanished and instantly reappeared about a foot and a half backwards in a much more professional defensive posture. The rest of his attacks would strike the air (unless he found a way to also magically move forward the same distance) but JeY would feel the shockwaves from the power behind the blows.
"You finally broke my defense." This was officially the first time JeY has spoke since their fight started. She doesn't normally bother with conversation, but she was a bit shaken from breaking her perfect streak. Henoke probably doesn't understand the entire gravity of what he accomplished, but she planned to go over it with the boy in detail later. There was no value in pride - there was priceless value in a fighter learning what works.
No time for stopping to fully chat yet, that sucker punch definitely awoke something in him. First the onslaught while she couldn't properly defend and now a bull rush of the same considerable speed he demonstrated earlier. Normally, a defensive stance is reset after a proper retaliation of offense, shifting the balance back to zero which would typically offer the opponent to answer in turn. JeY however negated the momentum entirely by teleporting earlier, resetting the clock back to zero entirely and started an entirely new encounter so to speak, her determined stance ready once again for the new volley.
A side-step was more than enough for the rising kick to miss entirely, but she wouldn't be so lucky with the sweeping keyblade attack. She'd jump high, flipping backward and falling fast to firmly plant on the ground and properly retaliate again. She wouldn't put much distance between them on purpose, two fingers pointing to the boy's core before an eruption of raw Chaos energy projected to catch him where his momentum was currently taking him.
His offense was strong. How will he reply to a proper string of punishing for this next exchange?

”Huh?!” Though it looked like his kick was about to land, JeY vanished in thin air. Whiffing his combo, Henoke was unable to stop his own momentum as he went up into the air, spinning through his 360 combo and landing unceremoniously on the grass below. ”Shit!” Tumbling through grass and dirt, the boy thumped and skidded against the ground, though he’d be able to hear JeY’s faint approval without issue.
”You finally broke my defense.” Raising an eyebrow, the teen sat up in the grass, still gripping his Keyblade with one hand as he tilted his head in confusion. I did? It definitely didn’t feel like it. In the end, she’d evaded it all without taking a single blow. Wasn’t that a total failure? Of course, Henoke wasn’t one to be down when they had a battle to win. Continuing with their charge of ‘normal hits’, the teen would grit their teeth in mild frustration as JeY managed to avoid the worst of the attacks, despite him using no extra ‘energy’ in his strikes. What was more surprising, was that the ‘Guardian’ seemed to stop their evasive leap short, firmly planting themselves in the grass not too far out of reach. Heh, now’s my chance!
How wrong he was.
Rushing forward, deciding to change his plan, Henoke would shout out in surprise as an explosion of Chaos energy blasted forth from JeY’s fingertips. It only lasted a second, while he was blinking, but he saw the pure ‘energy’ coming forward. Without truly thinking, Henoke’s body reacted more on instinct as the Keyblade in his grasp began to crackle and spark with a golden energy. Using his Blitz ability as the eruption drew near, he attempted to either slice through the attack to continue their charge, or repel the blast with energy of his own to match.
It was still hard for him to completely focus on the energy itself—though the young warrior was hardly discouraged. He’d seen something, earlier—a pin-point of sorts. I just need to get back into 'that' zone… Tightening the grip on his Keyblade, Henoke ran through the demolished grassy field, roaring out with power as he lunged. As he leapt through the air towards JeY, he closed his eyes once more, focusing on the sensation he had drawn on earlier. Truthfully, he expected her to react before his strike would land, which was what his plan hinged on.
C’mon—!! Once (or if) they did, he hoped to see where their energy concentrated, and where it would be faintest. His strategy was to try to strike the weakest point, seeing the raw power (first-hand) that he was up against. In a sense, it was nothing but exhilarating. The boy was strong in his own right, taking pride in it nearly as much as he prided himself on being able to handle spicy foods. This strategy was a completely new one to him, both due to the ‘energy’ he’d been learning of, but also because it relied on him not only recognizing another’s strength as greater than his own, but being willing to resist the temptation to clash head-on with it. Truly, whether he realized it or not, he was learning a great deal from this new 'mentor', though what he wanted more than anything was to land a freaking hit!

Landing a hit was the hard part - After all, the woman Henoke was targeting was as softer and squishier than most other "humans" which forces her entire playstyle to focus on not getting hit in the first place, since getting hit even once could instantly mean the end. She wasn't defenseless, for fights she'd have an imperceptible layer of energy protecting her from the brunt of most impacts; but even while wearing kevlar getting shot with a bullet hurts like fucking hell despite not piercing your skin.
Needless to say, avoidance was her name, dodging impact was the game. But, maybe the boy could use a bone every now and again and the 'dodge' could be just a harder wall of concentrated energy - similar to when she blocked his keyblade with her bare hand in the past. She wasn't thinking about this yet, but let's say this is a bit if 'foreshadowing' for later.
While JeY expected the boy to be crazy, taking the full force of her Destroy energy wasn't something she expected. She didn't hold back for that one either, that blast was made of the same stuff she'd fight real enemies with. It wasn't particularly lethal but its great for creating openings with a follow-up swing from a massive sword provided she was carrying the thing but this was handicapped in the boy's favor (for now). A nice uppercut would suffice, but it doesn't work against someone holding their ground.
Her attack was completely negated, and now Henoke was blatantly making this too easy with another leap attack. Unfortunately the amount of focus he was exhuming was impossible to miss so she could only assume he was planning something, but being in the air actually made it much more difficult to anticipate future movements. On the ground, you see the direction of where people's feet point, how their arms are bent, subtle flexes that give away their plan. None of that from up there. There was no perfect defensive option that wouldn't involve teleporting again, but that was internally considered cheating - she did it once as a reflex which caused her to be more conscious of her actions, so it will happen far less from here on out (never; actually, if she can help it).
Henoke's focus on her energy will reveal something a little more strange - it's a defense mechanism she employs without thinking at this point but her energy will be evenly distributed through her entire silhouette. It wasn't really 'concentrated' anywhere, even as she fired attacks it would only flare up at her fingertips for a brief moment (for example). This makes her far less predictable if there's no 'weakest point' or shifts in balance giving her next move away. If she remembered to 'turn it off' at any point his idea had a good chance of succeeding.
Either way, she couldn't way to block this time. If she really wasn't going to teleport, then she couldn't even have a window of opportunity available. JeY, in a quick and fluid motion, crossed her arms in front of her like an X with two fingers extended on each hand, welling an orb of Chaos energy and firing two beams; one on each side, and threw her arms forward to uncross them. This would cause the beams to intersect Henoke's dive path and prevent moving from either side to get out of the way. With two beams, this is also much more difficult to block or deflect.
The thing is... with Henoke scanning the way he was, he would see the flare in her fingertips before his blatant rush attack was met with an untimely interruption. Way before, relatively speaking. If he managed to avoid this and keep his forward momentum, JeY (without teleporting) no longer physically had an out and his strike would definitely connect.

Having broke through the first attack, Henoke pressed on undisturbed as he flung himself through the air, arcing his hefty and large weapon. Damn it…there’s no weak spots!? He didn’t have long to lament on the fact however, as his energy focus revealed a massive flux gathering around the woman’s fingertips. As JeY’s energy beams ((OOC: I’m imagining Xemnas light sabers lol)) burst to life, throwing up an ‘X’ guard, Henoke shouted out in both surprise and annoyance.
”I don’t think so!” Thinking quick, the boy used his teeth to rip and unravel the bandages around his Keyblade. Clang! As he split the large weapon into two, Henoke changed his position from that of a leap to a lunge—diving towards JeY and her guard with both blades pointing forward to stab rather than slice. ”Henokeeeee—MISSILE!”
As though he himself were a projectile, the boy would essentially land into JeY with a flying tackle, using both Keyblades to stab at her exposed form (though it was still shrouded with energy, it was less intense than the beams that had appeared) on each side. This, of course, would mean that Henoke would find himself face first INTO the energy beams JeY used to block—but perhaps the force of his tackle combined with the stabs to each side would finally topple the powerful ‘Guardian’!
Even if it didn’t, it was a plan with the perfect amount of recklessness for a warrior like himself.

Oh dear, now he's done it. JeY was certain the hot-headed boy would have learned from taking the brunt force of her attacks by now. Diving straight into crossed streams seemed like suicide but what would transpire instead was pretty awesome in the boys part. By pin-pointing all of his force with the dive-stab, Henoke would be able to bust through with a considerable amount momentum remaining. It wouldn't be enough for a clean strike as taking on two full-strength blasts slowed him down considerably that JeY could could actually react in time, but it would be enough where dealing with him wasn't utterly trivial.
The incoming strike was slowed down enough that JeY could throw her arms up in front of her and reinforce them with energy such that Henoke would be crashing into a tiny wall of titanium so-to-speak. The wall wasn't big enough to absorb the entire impact and the force would push the chaotic lady back a little bit but she definitely remained standing through the ordeal.
While her arms were still juiced up, assuming the boy had an opening due to a lack of follow through with the dive bomb, JeY gave a horizontal swing with a hefty chop to the right to force him to guard and would immediately pinpoint the biggest opening to deliver a solid, straight-on blow with her left fist. If he could block both of these, she would have to back off and re-asses the approach, otherwise the stagger from the punch would most likely leave him open for a few more blows she was prepared to make.

”HYAAAAAH!” Shouting out as he collided with JeY, Henoke stabbed with full-force as each Keyblade went to strike its mark. ZZZzzzzkkkt! Crackling against him as the boy collided against the woman’s bizarre energy beams, the area would illuminate with the light from the blast and force of impact. Though Henoke felt pain from the collision, the blinding impact of the light was more concerning. I got her!
He felt his Keyblades hit their mark, though as his vision returned to him through winced eyes, he was distraught to find them blocked by JeY’s powerful barrier. Shit! Though the momentum and power behind his tackling attack had been enough to push the woman back, it did little else as Henoke found himself being struck at from both sides. In a sense, it was an attack similar to the one he’d just delivered, minus the tackle.
Suddenly he was spinning. Unable to focus his vision, the rowdy paladin skid and thudded against the unforgiving earth. Despite JeY’s readiness to follow up the combo, they’d find no need to. Her raw force combined with how he’d been suspended in the air had been the perfect fusion to launch the boy to the side. Though he didn’t fly too far, it had been enough to send the muscular teen tumbling and get roughed up by the ruined ground.
”No—wonder…you’re a—‘guardian’.” As Henoke regained his breathing, he pushed himself up from the grass, recalling his weapon in a ray of light as it returned back into a single hefty Keyblade. ”I knew…this’d be fun!” Despite the multiple bruises and scrapes littering his battered body, it seemed that Henoke was hardly close to conceding. If there wasn’t a weak-point, he’d just have to try and find a way to break through any point!
He’d been so close, too! ”Cura!” Raising his weapon into the sky, Henoke was surrounded by a soft green hue as flowers bloomed and vanished in the air around him. The healing magic relaxed him, recovering his fatigue, bruises and cuts in the blink of an eye. Instantly, the boy felt refreshed, like he’d had the time to rest and restore his body in the span of a second. ”Aw’right! Let’s go!” Pumped up from the rejuvenation of his own magic, Henoke ran through the ruined battlefield with renewed vigor.
If there ain’t a weak spot, I just gotta go around! It was clear his original plan wouldn’t work, based on the strength of his current opponent. Despite being stubborn and strong headed, Henoke did have a creative side when necessary. While charging, the boy began to once again unravel the bandages keeping the large weapon he hoisted together. Ching! As his Keyblade split into two once more, Henoke decided to form a new fighting style he’d never attempted. Whoosh! Swoosh! Wielding the two lighter Keyblades by their unwound wraps, the orange haired teen now held dancing blades as he twirled and slashed with the ribbons he held while closing the distance.
”Firaga!” It was an unconventional use of the spell, as the tips of the boys weapons were careening in wheels as they spun, allowing the bandages he held and that wrapped around the weapons to ignite. ”Eat this!” Now lashing out with flaming Keyblades that danced and slashed through the air as though spinning discs, Henoke’s attack would assault JeY from both sides. While one flaming weapon slashed in a wheel directly towards her from an angle at the front, the other Keyblade would dance around her, striking from the back as the teen pulled with all his might with his other hand.
He’d try a pincer attack, despite being solo!

Whoops, looks like there was a grave miscalculation in the strength in her blows such that the poor boy was knocked far away while her intentions were to jostle him around a little bit. JeY was taking this fight more seriously now, putting some raw finesse into her moves. She was still pulling punches to a degree - after all, Henoke wasn't an enemy, just an opponent. A real, fully-fledged punch at her regular strength probably wouldn't kill the boy but it would deal some serious damage if he wasn't properly braced.
He was still an incredible sport about the whole ordeal. After getting back on he smiled and flared a healing spell. In the beginning there was a mild agitation since he felt he wasn't being taken seriously as a fighter despite the fact she's been taking him seriously this whole time, though that complaint seems to have dissipated entirely. Well, this was the real test after all: what would he learn if she didn't fight back at all?
Already he was getting creative at trying to attack her from angles she could have a hard time reading. She was very proud. His speed was admirable, but not quite there to fully get the drop on her with this trick. It did cause an interesting scenario where blocking or dodging would be conventionally more difficult, especially if she stuck to her soft rule of not brandishing any of her weapons. 'Hmm... Maybe not for attacking, but maybe a weapon is exactly what I need here'
JeY reached for the ground and kicked off the ground to flip upside down to orient herself properly, and at the same time her Zweihander materialized starting with the handle from the base of her open palm and extending quickly into the ground, where it ran out of room and pushed everything above it quickly into the air. It doesn't form at exactly the speed of light but definitely within a blink of the eye, and with a sword that was taller than her now in place of where she used to be, the two key blades smashed into her blade with a loud CLANG!
By the time everything collided, JeY pushed off the handle of her blade to launch herself into the air and re-orient herself upright and deliver a flying kick at the boy's shoulder. She left herself a bit vulnerable here, assuming the blades would be tangled up with her sword too much in order to be recovered and aimed again at her new position. If that wasn't the case, she would most certainly be in big trouble.

Wielding his Keyblades as though whips, the rowdy teen couldn’t help but grin as he realized a new potential. Why didn’t I think o’ this sooner!? Just as pride and excitement began to course through Henoke, the boys inner fire was quenched by the harsh rains of reality. Clang! CLANG! Instead if connecting with his target, his flaming weapons bashed harmlessly against a massive sword. ”F’real!?” He’s never seen a sword like that. It was huge!
JeY was hardly sticking to the defensive, using the large weapon as a pole vault for themselves. It was something Henoke himself was familiar with, clicking his teeth together with a Tsk! as he worked on recalling his weapons. Pulling with all his might, the muscular teen was able to yank around the fiery blades as though a yo-yo. Shwoom! Wincing through the flames as the hasty moves caused him to burn himself, Henoke managed to return a firm grasp on one of the two Keyblades he wielded.
”Nice try!” With a confident smirk betraying his age, the Paladin lashed out with one of his Keyblades—hoping to meet JeY’s kick with a powerful flaming strike of his own!

While her initial sticky predicament was dealt with, an entirely new situation was thrown in front of her - almost literally. The mighty pull from Henoke dislodged his keyblades rather fluidly and while JeY wasn't aware of this being a new technique for the energetic student he pulled off this maneuver with enough finesse to impress her into thinking this was a situation he's battled in enough times for the appropriate exit strategy and follow up. So much for her concept of a free flying kick strike.
The fortunate aspect of the situation was the relative speed of the execution. Sure, the boy was able to twist the setback in a favorable momentum but the only way he could've really screwed over the stoic assailant was to immediately flick the keyblades in her direction from where they initially struck. The nature of recalling them first and starting a new attack was slow enough that JeY could react. It wouldn't be pretty without being able to teleport, but her Chaotic Apparatus which allowed her rudimentary flight would come in handy.
JeY loses the kick-versus-keyblade at full swing in this situation, easily. The boy was capable of high physical prowess, and her current velocity would easily not deliver enough force to win. Had she been grounded and tried something similar, this would be a totally different story where if Henoke gripped his keyblade too tight he might even lose his hand, but this was not the case. The woman went for an evasive tuck and roll midair - something that would seemingly defy laws of physics, but that already has happened a few times when she left herself floating midair. This shouldn't surprise him anymore.
Barreling out of the way of the keyblade strike, JeY would land poised and low to the ground next to Henoke assuming he didn't adjust his swing directory in such a short span of time. With a little of the remaining momentum, she would attempt a sweep kick to the back of his ankles to knock him off his feet. If he fell, she could swiftly (but without too much raw power to favor speed) deliver an uppercut to his back and push him away. If he didn't fall, she would have to jump back and re-assess his stance from a defensive posture.

Nice! Just as Henoke congratulated himself, believing his counter to have worked, JeY seemed to suspend midair—balling up and forming a clean flip that allowed her to avoid his attack completely. ”Shit!” Flustered as he whiffed at the air as though a batter, the orange haired teen scrambled to try and gather the second weapon he wielded from the loose bandages.
It ain’t gonna work! At the rate of the woman’s poise as she landed from the flip, Henoke had sparred enough with his own Master to recognize a counter-counter-attack when he saw one! ”Grr…screw it!!” Realizing his attempt was futile, the spiky haired warrior did something far less predictable. Dismissing the roped weapons in a ray of light, Henoke seemed to be able to match the speed needed to avoid JeY’s sweep as he improvised.
Letting the kick sweep out his ankles, the teen had both hands free to catch himself, reaching out to the ground before meeting it. ”Ya can’t stop me that easy!” With a mildly devilish smirk on his face, Henoke suspended himself on his hands for a moment as he kicked out with both feet as though a pinwheel. Spinning to deliver two swift martial kicks, the muscular teen had enough body strength to push themselves off the ruined earth, spinning back upright with a blurring speed due to their own physical strength as a ray of light burst into their hands.
”C’MON!” Roaring out as he summoned his Keyblade, the radiant light surrounding Henoke and his hefty steel-grey weapon only continued to burst to life rather than fade. Summoning a powerful amount of energy within the blink of an eye, the spiky haired warrior slashed out with all their might as they attempted to strike JeY with their Blitz before landing from their spin-jump!

Despite connecting with the sweep kick, the entire situation felt too easy. JeY could see the young man reacting to his failed counter attack in a very admirable fashion, but would it be fast enough? That was actually a question she didn't quite know the answer to, but she would learn very soon that it was a resounding yes. Henoke threw himself to the ground once he was off his feet as if he planned that to happen all along, and for the first time her gross underestimation of his capabilities would be an irrecoverable mistake.
As the chaotic fighter rose for her anticipated follow up, she was met with two powerful kicks to her shoulder - a direct hit, totally unimpeded. She saw them coming a mile away but she remembered that she wasn't allowed to teleport anymore because that would trivialize things to a level fun for nobody and the other trick she had up her sleeve to avoid being hit would be considered equally cheating as vanishing, so her only option left was to brace for impact. A flash of dark pink, albeit dim chaotic energy would spark on each hit demonstrating that her defenses weren't totally penetrated, but Henoke can now formally say he landed a hit on his new mentor.
The follow-up he planned wouldn't go quite as planned for the teen however. JeY was already painfully aware of her mistake thinking she was in control the entire time, and there would be no way she'd let Henoke go unanticipated the remainder of the match. After all, he wasn't the only one who could use weapons int he blink of an eye - she wasn't ashamed that the boy landed a hit, only proud, but she still felt obligated to remind him not to get cocky as she had done earlier.
Henoke's Blitz would be met with a furious sword strike from her freshly-materialized chaotic Odachi - a more slender blade compared to her Zweihander but still just as capable - except she really pulled all the stops for this one. The same arm that could block his previous keyblade strikes was now carrying active momentum as opposed to being passively a wall as she intended to parry his strike with such overwhelming force that it would either knock the weapon out of his hand or push his entire arm (and hopefully his body with it) off-balance in a way that she would deliver a follow-up of her own.
With the angular momentum from such a slash, she would continue to twist her body into a roundhouse kick of her own to knock him out of mid-air.
Her silence through the ordeal, even through the act of getting kicked twice, could be considered deafening.

Having felt his kicks connect, Henoke felt brave as he swung full-power with his bright and explosive Blitz attack. ”Urk…! F’real?!” It felt like he had swung into a freight train. Clang! Booooosh! Despite the attacks explosive power, the spiky haired teen’s attack was met by a mightier block from JeY. Jarred from the raw strength behind the blade, Henoke would have dropped his weapon if it wasn’t for his natural physical strength. Vrrrrr…
His arms vibrated in pain as he was bounced back. SMACK! JeY’s roundhouse kick found it’s mark—slamming the midair warrior with such force that they were flung back at a terrifying speed. ScccccRRRrreeeeEeeeeek! Having been hurled through the air, the bewildered Wielder had somehow managed to maintain the grip on his weapon. Skkkkzzzt! As his Keyblade dug into the earth below, Henoke couldn’t help but wince as he felt like his body would be torn apart.
”Huff…Huff… Having successfully dug his weapon into the ground, the boy had yanked himself away from the kick’s momentum—allowing him to anchor himself before tumbling to the earth. ”Damn it!” Finally, it seemed the hot-headed youth was beginning to lose their temper. As a vein began to pulse on Henoke’s forehead, a sparking energy would begin to come alive as it burst around him. Bzzzt! Snap!
Despite having a decent sportsmanlike spirit overall, the teen’s low patience was finally hitting its breaking point. As the golden brown iris’s began to fade into white, a faint aura of golden energy would begin to seep from Henoke’s body. ”Grrr…I told you—“ His hefty weapon sparked with the same energy, seeming to hum as though a beast with its own mind as suddenly the teen dashed to cover the gap JeY’s kick had given. ”THIS WON’T BE EASY!!”
As the boy blurred forward in a burst of anger and power, the energy around his Keyblade continued to burst to life. Having entered his Wrath form, Henoke’s weapon became consumed in a snapping yellow lightning as he slashed out at JeY with his Thundara Break.
The swift slash would erupt in an explosion of lightning energy as the heated teen roared out with a new power all of his own!
