Ivory was hoping that they might've found something but it looked like they wouldn't. No matter what Ivory looked into, nothing came up. Had these creatures been in existence during this time? Or were they creatures that just sprung up? Heartless, she had learned, had appeared after things called Unversed. Then after the Heartless, Nobodies came. As for Fissures, it was unclear what they were. Ivory didn't know if she could cooperate alone with one without fear of it thinking she'd be a better host than what body it took over.
As she stood there, she watched as Smiles took one last glance around the library. Finally, he agreed that it was time to call it quits. No use keeping themselves awake the rest of the night making it harder for them to see anything due to sleep clouding their vision. At Smiles' words, Ivory nodded her head in agreement. With that, they headed out of the library, Smiles closing the door behind him as he went.
Now that they were outside the library, Ivory wondered how they were going to find the rooms. She'd never been here before. Maybe Smiles knew more in that field too? All she could do was follow his lead up the staircase. Like they had done before, Smiles lead the way down the hallway they had traveled about in a number of times before already. As they went, they went the way like they would where the new library would be but took a turn down the opposite way. Around here was when things started changing.
There were doors that reminded Ivory of hotel rooms in a sense. Above some doors, names were printed. By the time she returned her attention onto Smiles, the sound of a door opening made him hold out a hand to signal for her to stop. Stopping abruptly, Ivory looked out into the hallway quietly in wonder. Who would be out at this hour aside from them?
As she watched, she noticed the stone faced master from earlier today. He hadn't looked in their direction and had headed down the opposite end of the hallway. While she and Smiles had a reason to be out, it made her wonder what this master's reason had been. Since none of the other masters were leaving their rooms, it made Ivory think some sort of trouble was afoot. Just what was the master up to?
Smiles pointed a finger after the master in silence, signaling to follow. Nodding, Ivory followed quietly behind Smiles as they trailed after Master Isaac. The trip took them down several bends before the master finally stopped in front of a door. The two of them watched as Master Isaac simply opened the door up and entered without even knocking. Were they about to witness some sort of foul play or had this been an arranged meeting? Somehow, Ivory doubted the latter. If you were meeting with anyone, surely you would knock on the door to let them know you were there, right?
Smiles picked up the pace, causing Ivory to move a bit faster to keep up with him. She didn't think he was about to enter the room since they were both spying on Master Isaac. As he reached just before the open doorway, Smiles opened up two portals. The two of them could now see clearly into the room. Smiles had to move aside a bit for Ivory to be able to peer in. As they did, Ivory watched as Master Isaac stood before a sleeping figure. 'Is he going to murder him?' she wondered.
With a quick glance at the top of the door, Ivory realized that the person inside that had to be sleeping was none other than Thomas. He was the apprentice that was to take that exam tomorrow. Master Isaac summoned a gold and white keyblade, looking at it as if he hated the thing. Then, Master Isaac slammed the blade down into the sleeping figure.
As if realizing too late what was happening to him, the sleeping figure emitted light in the room. His eyes settled on Master Isaac, a look of surprise written all over his face as he watched the master plunge the blade deeper into his chest. The master twisted his weapon and light erupted from Thomas. Master Isaac seemed surprised and then pleased with this before disappearing with the light that came from Thomas. As he did so, all that could be seen now was Thomas with an injury, somehow still breathing.
Ivory couldn't help but look puzzled as she continued to watch the scene play out. What was going on?

Smiles was puzzled, but his mind was also whirling at the speed of light. Was this is? The reason why the world was looping? It did seem important. A keyblade master had killed another keyblader. This sort of thing was not written in any of the history books. What was so important about it? And where did he go? He was swallowed into some sort of gate. But where too?
So many questions... And Smiles wanted the answers to all of them. Things were sure interesting... that was for sure. All he could do was watch. But there wasn't much happening. The chest of Thomas was beginning to slow. He didn't have much time left. Smiles glance back at Ivory. He didn't want to leave, but nothing was happening. "I say we wait till...." Smiles had begun to tell Ivory that they would wait till Thomas died, and if nothing else happened they would continue back to the room.
But he never finished because suddenly a portal formed once more. And Mater Issac spoke out. Standing, he faced the open doorway. The anger that had once been fixed on his face had been replaced with a calm yet evil demeanor as a smile creased his lips. His once white and yellow keyblade was now black and white and twisted in a deformity.
Something had happened... What exactly, Smiles did not know. Smiles was slightly worried that the Master would see them and so withdrew his head. But he did not. Master Issac stretched his hand and summoned a dark portal in front of him. Stepping through it he disappeared.
"Interesting..." Smiles smiled. The portal the Master had stepped through had closed. Smiled thought that whatever was going to happen here was over, but the portal that the Master had stepped through had not closed. In fact something else slipped out of it. Smiles knew immediately what it was... A Fissure! This Fissure though was slightly different then the ones they had saw. This one was more humanoid, the closest to a human, Smiles had seen of the creatures. It stood on two legs, and had even blinking yellow eyes. But the dark blue body and red stripes were the same.
Smiles waited to see what was going to happen, but then things started to shake like an earthquake.

Ivory had no idea that this wasn't in the History books. She had never been outside of Meadows until a few years ago after it had been consumed by darkness. So, everything that Smiles might have known about the past concerning the worlds was new to Ivory. She watched as the chest of Thomas began to slow, his breaths becoming weaker. No doubt, that was a sign that he was dying. Why a keyblade master had killed someone was a mystery to her. Weren't they suppose to be warriors of light?
Smiles made to speak to her, drawing her attention toward him but he had trailed off suddenly. Master Isaac had appeared again except this time, he was different. Instead of anger, there was a calm and evil look about his face. Instead of the gold and white keyblade, he now had a black and white one that had a bit of a deformity to it. What did this all mean?
Ivory couldn't help but cautiously step back a bit too in order to try and avoid being seen. Miraculously, Master Isaac hadn't seen either of them. Ivory watched as the Master opened up a portal, a dark one, and stepped into it. He disappeared from the given area. Ivory could only stare at where he had last been, mulling through her mind about what had just transpired.
What happened next certainly surprised her. The portal hadn't closed like they had been expecting. Instead, what came out of it next was very familiar. A Fissure had appeared standing on two legs and blinking. It resembled a human more than its other brethren. Ivory had heard Smiles say his favorite word prior to all this and most likely she was certain he were about to say it again if he could. The two of them waited to see what was going to happen next but something else happened.
The whole area was shaking like an earthquake! "Wha-?!"

Smiles had no idea what was happening. He had never been in this world this long before. This whole shaking was new to him. The world shook, yet only Smiles and Ivory were able to feel it. How did Smiles know? He watched the creature. It did not look frightened or even dismayed. In fact he, along with pretty much the rest of the world, began to loose its outline as the shaking continued.
The world around them, the castle walls, the door way, the dead body, the Fissure, they all lost there outline as the world went completely white. Only then did the shaking stop. Smiles and Ivory were in a world of complete nothing. It was something Smiles had never experienced before and he was very much intrigued by all of it.
But before he could even say anything, the outline of the world flooded right back in! It started from a distance... Smiles watched the black outline make out the river and the stationed boat by the pier. Then came the city and the surrounding road and all the different places in it. Next came the edge of the castle and finally the rest of it as the area around them outlined back to what it was.
Glancing back into the room though there was a change. The room was empty! There was no Thomas nor even any sign that anyone had been in the room, as there had been before. "If I didn't know any better, I'd swear the world just looped us." Smiles said, not knowing that Ivory herself had wondered what would happen to them when it did.
Well they had there answer now. Smiles glanced down the hall, slightly unsure of what to do. Should they stay and try to learn what they could? Or retreated back to the base. Smiles glanced over to Ivory. "What should we do now?" Whether his question was legitimate or a test of some sort was kind of hard to tell by the way Smiles spoke.

While the world was seemingly shaking, the creature nearby didn't seem to be affected. In fact, it stood as erect as it ever had. It didn't seem to notice the world around it had just gone crazy. Before Ivory and Smiles knew what was happening, the world's appearance grew hazy and then went away entirely. They were both left in an endless void of pure white. Nothing was around them except each other.
"What the-?" she exclaimed but by the time she went to even utter the first word, something in the distance caught her eye. As she turned to look over at it, the world suddenly returned to them but with differences. The room, where Thomas had been, was now empty. Had that really been just a loop? Or had they happened upon a different part of this world's time?
She brought her gaze back towards Smiles when he spoke and shrugged. His guess was as good as her's at this point. Still, she couldn't help but wonder if what they experienced had been a loop or something else. She lightly bit her lip in thought. The only way they could figure it out might be to investigate further but only if Smiles was intending to. She had followed his lead here, after all. What he said, she obeyed. Ivory was pulled out of her thoughts when Smiles had asked her what they should do now. Whether or not this was a test remained yet to be seen.
"...Well, even if it did loop...we didn't feel the ground quake or do any of that when we wandered down the bend away from the loops we caused being here before with the bears and Oswald, right? Maybe this is another point in time in this world's timeline?" Ivory said with a shrug. "I think, if you're still interested, that maybe we should see if it's really a loop and not a different day...but only if you want to, Smiles. I mean, we saw how that Fissure appeared but...what were it's dealings here? How did it create more of it's kind that we know of today? ...I'm not even sure if this world could even answer those questions."

Ivory brought up several good points. Some that Smiles actually hadn't considered until she spoke them. She did have a point about the loop. Nothing like that had happened when they had killed the bears and Oswald the rabbit. So perhaps it hadn't been a loop. But what was it? Could it really be another time? Smiles was silent as he thought about what they should do.
Did they have more time to explore this world? Smiles could easily open a portal back to the headquarters. And his phone had not yet rung, which means that for the most part no one must have been looking for them. They had time...
"Let us see what else this world has to offer. We still have some time I think." Smiles walked over to Ivory and placed a hand on her shoulder. "You're doing good. I'm glad your here with me." It was rare to see Smiles give anyone praise let alone tell someone how he felt. The fact that the words sounded genuine, made it all the stranger. Giving Ivory a smile, he took the lead and began walking down the hall the way they came.
Glancing back though once more he said, "You know when we finally get out of this world, your going to have to tell me if you've ever had a boyfriend before." Adding a wink after it and a smile, Smiles returned to facing the way they came.
-----------------------------------
Oswald the rabbit stood in the door way of the Disney Castle entrance as four portals opened before him at the base of the steps leading to the front doors. He smiled warmly as first came Master Eraqus and his four pupils. Master Eraqus led the way, with his main pupil Thomas following behind him. Then came the three children, no older then thirteen for two and as young as seven for the third. They all glanced at the world around them, and even themselves in wonder. They had just come into there power and had yet to visit many other worlds such as this one.
Next came Master Yen Sid, standing taller then everyone. His pupil was no where to be seen, most likely studying back at his tower. Then came Master Xehanort. The older man too came alone, giving a smile in greeting to everyone. And finally Mater Issac came last. His expression was unreadable as always, and his eyes held a hardness to them that seemed impenetrable.
They all walked up the steps and paused before Oswald. "H..h...h...his majesty is expecting you in the royal chamber. M....m.....m....Master Eraqus, the King has requested you let your pupil show the children to their rooms. H....h....h...he says there are very important things to discuss."
Master Eraqus nodded. Before turning to lead the way into the castle, Oswald could just make out the tug boat make its beginning decent down the river, the start of the work day for many in Disney Town. It was to be a long day today.

Ivory was only guessing and trying to make sense of things. As far as she knew it, things hadn't quaked when a loop occurred. If anything, they would return to the very spot where they had done something to find that anything they did was changed. Nothing as dramatic as a quake ever occurred during those times. If they had, they would've noticed the loops sooner. Whatever they just went through, that was something new. Unless, of course, you had to be in the immediate area where a loop took place to actually feel a tremor and experience what they had but that didn't feel right.
So, thus, she threw out that where it could be a loop, it could also be the world's time shift from one day to the next of what past memories this world contained. The Fissure that they had seen, it remained yet to be seen as to what it did here if it did anything. Of course, she understood if they didn't have time. Ivory was merely speaking her mind on certain points.
She was a bit surprised though when she was praised over her points that she had made. Ivory excelled in the academic field but she wasn't a genius. That and her being an introvert, the more observant type meant she could pick up on subtle things others normally wouldn't. Still, it felt good to know she was doing good and not disappointing Smiles. It was the first time though when she heard Saito ever mention himself feeling anything. Whatever she said had pleased him a lot then. She smiled back over at him.
"Glad to help and that you took me along, this place is definitely something."
What came next though, she did not expect. Just after he turned to take the lead down the hallway, he paused to throw out a comment that caught her completely off guard. Confusedly, she looked back at him as he stated that she had to tell him whether or not she ever had a boyfriend when they got back to headquarters before giving her a wink and smiling before moving onward. Ivory couldn't help but watch him go, completely dumbstruck for a short moment until it finally registered what he had been implying. The realization made her cheeks redden a bit. Yes, she was definitely caught off guard with that one.
She didn't really have time to respond though as Smiles continued down the way they had come. If she didn't catch up with him, he'd leave her behind in the hallway during her time of confusion. Snapping out of it, Ivory followed after him down the hall to whence they came. Eventually, they would come upon wherever it is that Smiles was heading. Most likely the double doors leading into the throne room. A lot of things seemed to happen around it more often than not. Once they got there, they would soon see all that had come this time around.

Smiles was heading towards the door to the throne room. But he never arrived there before he ran into someone. Walking down the hall of the corridor, he came to a stop when the man they had watched get murdered appeared. He had just rounded the corner and upon seeing them quickened his pace. Smiles had to glance over to Ivory on that one. If Tim, or whatever his name was, was in front of them it meant that he was not dead.
"Are you two servants of the castle? I was actually looking for my room." He said, as he came to a stop in front of them. "Oh sorry... The names Thomas. I'm Master Eraqus's apprentice." Thomas was a teen a bit younger then them. Where as before it was a a bit harder to make him out, Smiles noticed his shaded eyes and spiky shaded hair.
Smiles had an answer right away, as he always seemed to. "We are guests, but his majesty did tell us where you would be staying. This way then Thomas." Smiles turned around and headed back the way they came. He felt not a thing about showing Thomas to the exact same room he would die in.
Given his sudden arrival, Smiles figured that the day had started over. That must have been the reason for the shaking. No doubt the tug boat was heading down into the river and through the town. Coming to a stop in front of the room they had just been standing in front of minutes ago, Smiles opened the door for Thomas. "Here you are then Thomas."
Smiles really didn't want to spend much time with this teen. He was sure that the place they needed to go was the Throne room. There had been conversations before they had arrived here. But as Smiles went to close the door, Thomas spoke again. "Why don't you two come in? What are your names?" Smiles paused. He really felt that they needed to go to the throne room... Could Smiles kill him and just leave? After all he would just come right back.
Thinking about it for a moment, Smiles decided against it. Maybe this was where they were supposed to be.... Gesturing, Smiles waited for Ivory to go inside then closed the door behind them.

As soon as they rounded a corner headed in the direction of the throne room, Ivory and Smiles spotted someone approaching them. As if they had just noticed them, the figure had quickened their pace to meet with them. Ivory peered back for a second and realized that it was the figure they saw, Thomas, alive again. Still, she wasn't sure about that as she glanced over at Smiles. Maybe the world had really lopped right then and there on them? Why in that fashion though? It didn't make much sense. Then again, this world's existence didn't make much sense as she returned her gaze onto Thomas when he spoke.
Were they servants? He was wondering where his room was. Maybe it really was a loop? Why did the world loop though when they hadn't done anything to cause it? She mentally noted this for later, if there was time later. Maybe the world had a habit of putting people in the present time during a time where the world wanted them to be? That made no sense either. There had to be a way of making sense out of this though.
Ivory listened as Smiles spoke, stating that they were guests here. They had been told where he would be staying, truthfully they happened upon it when they followed Master Isaac a time before. With that, Smiles began to lead the way, Ivory following close behind. They went the way they had come and honestly, Ivory wondered if they were leading the young man to his grave. She dismissed this disturbing thought though. Even if they tried to change something, it wouldn't effect this world and would be righted again by the world's account of events that had taken place in the past.
As they finally brought Thomas to his room, Ivory wondered what this all meant. Maybe instead of the loops they caused, the world simply restarted the whole day? Was that even true though? She wasn't entirely sure as she watched Smiles speak to Thomas again. Just as Smiles was about to close the door, Thomas requested they stay for a moment and asked them their names. Ivory wondered how Smiles would react. Was he about to shoot Thomas too? It's not like them killing anyone from the past had any real effect since the person would appear again the minute they moved out of the given area.
Instead of shooting him, Smiles decided that this time they would go with whatever Thomas wanted to do. Obediently, Ivory stepped into the room upon Smiles' beckoning. As she did so, she smiled and gave Thomas a polite incline of her head. "Thank you, Thomas. Our names are Jonathan and Petunia. We're both Jasper's assistants here in his stead." She still hated that name but she refrained from showing any distaste or hinting at it with her tone of voice. She remained standing though, waiting to be told to sit by their host to show manners and uphold a sense of professionalism in case Thomas had heard about them.

Thomas glanced at the two of them with what Smiles would call a warm smile. It was a genuine smile of interest at knowing their names after Ivory had introduced them. He found it slightly annoying, but for what reasons he couldn't say.
"Nice to make your acquaintance then Petunia and Johnathan. Like I said, I'm Thomas. I hope you guys aren't busy or anything I really have no clue what to do for the whole rest of today. Master Eraqus will be in his meeting with the other Masters."
Smiles nodded. Oh joy! The kid wanted company. Sighing mentally, but rolling his eyes physically, Smiles gave a smile and took a seat on the floor. Mine as well make himself comfortable. "I can't think of anywhere else we have to be right this second." It was the truth after all.
Thomas nodded to Smiles with a very honest look trapped on his face. The kid was easier to read then a picture book! "Well thats great. I'm always up to making new friends. So you guys are from Disney Town huh. How's it like living there? And didn't you say you were working for the mayor? That must be a grand job I bet. I'm going to actually be a Keyblade Master soon."
Smiles pretty much ignored the questions that Thomas posed them. If Ivory wanted to answer he let her do it. Though a thought did come to mind about something he wanted to ask. "Thomas.. How well do you know the other Masters?"
Thomas, who had been conversing with Ivory it looked like, turned back to Smiles. "The other masters? Well I've known Master Sid since I first started. He's the oldest master and all. I've never met his majesty before though. Master Eraqus said I'd meet him tomorrow. As for Master Xehanort, I've been there during some of his and Master Eraqus's conversations. Though I hadn't really known he existed till just about a year ago. But he seems like a nice guy. Always smiling and laughing. I'll never forget the first time I saw him. He got wasted with Master Eraqus. They almost got into a fist fight!"
Smiles wanted to punch Thomas. He actually didn't really care about the other masters. The one he wanted to know was the one that Thomas had not even mentioned. The Master who was going to kill Thomas later. "What about the youngest master? I believe Master Issac was his name?"
A look of slight sadness crossed Thomas's face. "I've known him for a couple of years. We don't see much of him, but Master Eraqus told me he was just a child when the war broke out. He mentioned something about a harsh life thrust on his shoulders. I tend to not really talk to him. He always looks like he's going to chop someone's head off."
Smiles had to admit that Thomas did give him some interesting information. But not too much to explain why the world had just restarted, if that was what it did, right after Thomas's death and the birth of the fissure.

Ivory watched in the corner of her eye as Smiles quite literally entered the room and proceeded to sit upon the floor. For the moment, she hadn't yet noticed his annoyance already. If he was, she would be surprised as to why he hadn't already shot the teenager already considering how annoyed he was. Placing her hands behind her back, she held the dragon statuette in one of her hands just in case. Thomas, for the most part, seemed friendly enough. He was very eager to speak with them, it seemed.
"Yes, we don't really have anything to do right at this moment." She gave a nod at that. It wasn't long before Thomas surprised her by how chatty he could be. No wonder Smiles sat upon the floor! Ivory's legs and feet were kind of annoyed standing there the whole time.
Thomas asked them what living in Disney Town had been like awhile also mentioning their "career". Smiles didn't seem like he wished to talk so it was up to Ivory to keep this Thomas entertained apparently. What was living in Disney Town like?
"It's a cheerful little place. It'll most certainly grow now considering the castle's near completion and the town is almost done as well. There's a steam boat that seems to greet you as you arrive and bids you farewell as you leave here. Then there's the majesty, a very kind fellow. As for Jasper, he really loves reading. Once he gets into a book, he can't put it down for long. We sometimes have to remind him to eat and sleep!" she stated, chuckling at her own, false joke. "He was far too busy though with town duties at the moment and had us take his stead for now. At least this way, the town will still have a say in the affairs that involve it and bare witness to great events to come. Still, it can get a bit hectic at times now and then. And yes, we work for him. It's an honor to be working under someone so dedicated and diligent when it comes to the town and its people. You'd think most politicians would be corrupt but Jasper is obviously in it for the people and always for the people. He gives us tasks to do here and there between book work, standing in conferences for when he's not able to attend and all sorts of things." Ivory wasn't sure how convincing she sounded but from what she could guess and what she already knew, she guessed she was doing a good job of it.
Smiles eventually piped in, asking Thomas how well he knew the other masters. Ivory went quiet as she gave Thomas her full attention. She, too, was curious how much he knew the others. Maybe it would give them some insight on the masters? Particularly, Master Isaac.
Ivory watched as Thomas turned to face Smiles, when he did, Ivory looked over at Smiles. Where he was usually smiling, his body language hinted at annoyance. In fact, he looked a bit rigid, as if he intended to do Thomas bodily harm but was restraining himself. 'Smiles...annoyed...that is a first.' She gave a mental sigh as Thomas went into a long string of dialog about the masters. The only one they really wished to hear about was Master Isaac.
When Thomas finished, forgetting Isaac, Smiles pressed him further about the masters by bringing him up. Ivory watched, listening intently to what Thomas had to say. His face had faltered a bit at the question. At a young age, Master Isaac has a rough life during the time of the war. Most likely, he lost a lot of friends and loved ones. The way he acted was enough to keep Thomas at bay.
In the room, Ivory couldn't help but glance now and then at the corners of the room or watch Thomas closely. Fissures, from what they knew, took over hosts. This Thomas, if the world did loop, wouldn't have any memory of it or his death. It looked like he was alive right before their very eyes but it was hard to tell if he wasn't already serving as a host for it. The issue was, she wasn't sure how to ask a question that would corner a Fissure into revealing what it was if there really was one in Thomas right now.
"I see, that's too bad."

Thomas glanced over at Ivory and nodded. "I share the same feelings. So are you two keybladers as well?" Thomas asked of them.
Smiles had to shake his head in truth to that one. "Nope. Nor do we really know too much about them. Like my sister said. Were just simple folk really. Doing are best to help the mayor with anything he might need. What world are you from Thomas?"
Thomas lit up at the question. "I actually was born in a world called Notre Dame. Thought it doesn't exist anymore...." Thomas's voice trailed off for just a moment, saddened by his own thought. "But I've lived in the Land of Departure for five years now with Master Eraqus."
That made Smiles's eyes widen in shock. "You live in the Land of Departure you say?" The reason why this was so shocking to Smiles was because the Land of Departure was the name of the world that their headquarters was based at. Smiles had known that had been what it used to be called, but he had no clue of its importance to keybladers.
"Yep. We live in the castle there. With the three newest acolytes. Master Xehanort is going to be staying with us for a while I think. You guys should ever come if you ever have the chance. I'll give ya the whole tour!" If Smiles had not known roughly Thomas's age, he would have guessed that the kid was only thirteen by the way he spoke and acted. Not a seventeen or eighteen year old, that was for sure.
Smiles wondered if Ivory had made the same connection as he had. He had not told her the name of course but perhaps she might have known of it already. Either way after this was all over he planned to share that information with her.
"So do you guys have heartless here too?" Thomas asked them.
They actually did have heartless in Timeless River, but he had not seen any in this castle. Though with Thomas's question it did give Smiles an idea. "Yep. They sometimes appear at night in the town. We try to stay indoors at night. Though we do have these other strange creatures as well. There sort of like heartless, but there blue and they can actually take over a human or creature like a parasite."
Thomas's eyes widdened in shock while at the same time Smiles's rolled in disappointment. He had hoped that Thomas had seen the fissures before. Apparently it seemed like he did not. "I've never heard of creatures like that before! Sounds scary. You guys aren't parasites are you?" He said with a laugh.
Smiles let out a fake "hahaha".

Ivory looked back over at Thomas when he asked if they were keybladers. She shook her head, Smiles only confirming the motion of her head that they weren't keybladers. They weren't exactly simple folk but this guy didn't need to know that. As far as he knew it, they were. It was...odd how easily people here could be duped. Did any of them ever find them suspicious? h well, looks like luck was on their side a lot in this world.
She watched as Thomas went to answer Smiles' question about what homeworld Thomas came from. He came from a world called Notre Dame but lived in a world called Land of Departure now. Ivory blinked as she glanced over at Smiles, noticing the shocked look on his face. At least, that's what it looked like. He was always smiling but the more widening of his eyes seemed to indicate surprise on his part. Why was he so surprised about that world's mention? Ivory hadn't yet learned their headquarters was actually the Land of Departure.
It didn't take long before Thomas asked them if they had Heartless here as well. She wasn't sure how to answer that but Smiles already went ahead and did. There were Heartless but then there were strange ones. Ivory knew what Smiles was hinting at already. He was, undoubtedly, talking about Fissures. Thomas didn't seem to recognize them though. His lack of recognition made Smiles roll his eyes in annoyance. Ivory guessed the only reason why Thomas hadn't been shot down yet was because Smiles was trying to fish information out of him.
Ivory blinked when Thomas made a joke about them being parasites. She just gave a bit of a laugh at that. She was pretty sure that she wasn't or she would be dead right now with some sort of creature that took over her body inside of her. "Are you sure you're not?" she joked back, while kinda trying to get a feel if it was an act.

Thomas's laugh was genuine to Ivory's response. Smiles chose not to laugh at the response because he was getting more annoyed with this teenager by the second. They weren't going to learn anything from Thomas. That seemed pretty clear. They should have just went down to the throne room like Smiles had planned. Well now Smiles had a couple of choices. He could kill Thomas and they could leave and it would be like they were never here... Or he could come up with some sort of excuse to make them leave.
Smiles had no problem with killing Thomas, but something about him made him pause at that thought. It was the same thing that made him stay here in the first place. What was it exactly? Well Smiles had no clue actually. But he couldn't bring himself to pull out his gun. He felt like it would be wrong. That there was something more to learn out of Thomas.
But what else could he ask? What sort of information could Thomas really give them that they needed? "Hey... how would you guys like to be keybladers?" Thomas's sudden question made Smiles pause as well. What did he mean how would they like to be keybladers?
Thomas let out a laugh at the surprise on Smiles's face. "Oh sorry. I forgot you guys probably don't know how it works. There are two ways you can become a keyblade wielder. Either your like me and Master Eraques and you summon your own keyblade, or your like Master Issac and a keyblade is passed down to you from another Master."
Smiles glanced over to Thomas. He had never heard of this before. It was not in any of the history books. "How would we receive keyblades though?"
Thomas replied, "Master Eraqus has a bunch of them from fallen heroes of the war. He can make you two keyblade wiedlers. You'd have to start at the bottom, but you guys could be heroes!"
Smiles really had no reason to be a keyblade hero. Especially since he made a living killing them. But the way it worked was interesting. "What do you mean Master Issac is one of them?"
"Well according to Master Eraqus the reason that Master Issac is so uptight is because the keyblade was passed down to him against his will. He was never really a keyblade hero until it was given to him. Really any Master can do it. You just have to have the keyblade though on hand. You could come with us to the Land of Departure and...."
Thomas would have continued but a sudden ringing sound made him stop. It even made Smiles jump out of his seat... Reaching into his pocket he pulled out his phone. It was ringing. Thomas looked as confused as ever. "What is that?" He asked.
Smiles ignored that question and opened the phone. "What do you want Fang?"
"Snake wants everyone back at the headquarters. He's calling an emergency meeting." Fang answered, the phone was loud enough for the other two in the room to hear.
Sighing Smiles responded, "Alright Fang. We're on our way." Closing the phone, Smiles placed it back in his pocket.
Thomas turned to Ivory. "What was that? I've never seen such a strange device! Do you have one too? Can I see it?!" Smiles had, had enough of Thomas. Summoning his gun he raised it and planted a bullet right through Thomas's turned head. Some of the blood splashed on Ivory because she had been closest to Thomas.
"Sorry about that. We'll get you cleaned up in a second, but we got to go."

Ivory wondered what Smiles could be fishing for as she stood there, watching Thomas laugh more from the joke she made. He really had no clue for a second how serious she had been about that one. Looks like he genuinely was still human and it wasn't a trick of the Fissure they saw earlier. Well, that was disappointing. Just what could they figure out from this Thomas? More on keybladers perhaps?
Sure enough, he went on to ask them if they wished to become keybladers. Ivory wasn't sure how to answer that. She and Smiles had killed keybladers. Still, it was interesting to wonder how one became a keyblade wielder. Smiles seemed keen on that information as well when he questioned Thomas how that worked.
Thomas went on to explain you either inherited it from a previous master, like Master Isaac, or you summoned your own. How one summoned their own, she wasn't sure. Maybe, oddly, the weapon came to you when you needed it? Well, Ivory was quite sure she was no keyblader material. Frankly, she was too far gone anyway to become one. Not that she ever wanted to be one knowing that she was a part of an organization of people that assassinated keybladers.
'That explains the look of hatred he had,'Ivory thought back to when they saw Master Isaac just before he performed the killing blow on Thomas.
Before Thomas could finish what he was saying though, the sound of something ringing filled the room. It made Ivory jump at the sound. She, of course, recognized it. No doubt, it was a phone and since Smiles practically leaped out of his seat then that meant he was being called. Ivory paid close attention to Smiles, not even sure how to respond to Thomas as she listened. Fang had apparently called them. Whatever Fang said in response was enough to convince Smiles that it was now time to head out.
Thomas, if he had been wiser, should have kept his mouth shut. Ivory had just turned to him, to give some sort of response but Smiles's patience had already run thin. Summoning his gun in record breaking time, Smiles pulled the trigger and killed Thomas. Of course, they both knew that despite this that it wouldn't be permanent. Thomas would be back because of the loop. They would be long gone before then though. The thing that bothered Ivory the most was when she had suddenly gotten splattered by Thomas's blood from the shot.
"O-Oh my-!" she made to say but was cut off in mid-sentence by Smiles. She looked at her hands in shock at the blood on them and all down her front. She could even feel it on her face. She was so shocked that she barely registered what he was saying as the repulsion of what had happened to her finally hit her. She wanted to puke or flail around right about now in her repulsion but couldn't bring herself to do it right now because she was so shocked. Blinking, she nodded in response to what Smiles had said. All she could do right now was move, she couldn't really find her voice right now it was so gross.

Smiles summoned a portal back to The Land of Departure. He would have to tell Ivory about that when they were on the other side. While they had not gotten all the answers they wanted out of this world, they did learn some things. Smiles planned to come back at some time. There was something about this world... He felt that whatever was happening with the fissures, this place had something to tell them about it.
Once Ivory had gone through, Smiles began walking towards his own portal himself. Even though he could not see the tug boat, he had no doubt it was heading back up the river. One of these days he was going to ride that tug boat, and see just where it went and what it was doing. Walking through the portal, it closed behind him.
