A hooded figure silently made his way through the busy streets of Agrabah. Though he was not dressed in the typical garb of the locals, Darius didn't appear to stick out to much either. This was even more evident by the fact that his footprints are next to invisible, due to his lack of a physical body. His reason for being here was... complicated. Ever since losing his lab, Darius was always on the look out for places he could settle down. The palace looked like a good enough place, perhaps he could offer his services to the local ruler as an adviser.
That seemed like it would be simple enough. But that was not the only reason he was here. He was also here because he had heard some of the locals speak of a place containing treasure beyond your wildest imagination. After the things he had done and seen, Darius' curiosity was piqued. But he had no interest in the treasure personally, but the rumors of there being a lamp there was a different matter. According to the lore around these parts, infinitely magical beings known as genies which served who ever rubbed their lamp. He had no idea that the genie had already been released, and it was probably best that no one tells him.
So for now, he needed to find someone who knew where to find the cave...

From his vantage point in that long since abandoned tower in Agrabah, Gustav could see a good deal of the city below, the markets, the residential quarters and even the palace at the center of it all. Where the guard quarters where, he could not tell from his vantage point, the palace blocked out the other half of the city of Agrabah. He didn't say much as he crawled his way to the edge of the ruined tower's wall, nor did he say anything to himself as he pressed his binoculars to his eyes, scanning the market place below for something, or someone of key note and value.
In truth, Gustav had no idea what he was doing here in Agrabah. Sure, he had accepted a lift off some person for a ride to another world, but when he was kicked out of that aircraft with nothing more than a parachute to break his fall, he guessed that there was something in Agrabah for him to accomplish or he had been betrayed. His arrival into the city was thankfully, uneventful as it occurred during a moonless night. The only problem was the landing, his parachute had caught on a out sticking wooden support plank of the abandoned tower, which had forced him to cut himself free and fall a good ten meters to the ground.
That had been five days ago. The joints in his legs still ached, he guessed that he must have torn a muscle or fractured something, but the fact that he was mobile meant that he was capable of doing what was needed to be done. Even with his protesting joints, he hadn't been idle. He had turned the tower into his base of operations, the parachute now formed a simple roof to shelter him from the glare of the sun.
Gustav let out a breath he hadn't realized he had been holding in as he scanned the market below with his binoculars. He knew that sooner or later, he would have to leave the tower and go out to steal whatever supplies he could get his hands on. He knew that he had no hope in hell in passing himself off as a local, his body shape and high made him stand out in a crowd. He was just about to retreat back into the heart of the tower when he could have sworn he saw something move in the distance on its own accord.
'What the?' Gustav thought as he started at the exact spot he had seen some loose fabric hanging off some bolts of exotic cloth move on its own. He knew that there was no wind in the city thanks to its city walls, so, though the simple powers of deduction, he assumed that there was something down there that was invisible to the naked eye moving about the crowds below. The fact that there was also no foot prints left behind told him that whatever it was, it possessed both some kind of cloaking and hover technology that allowed it to move around unseen.
Gustav grinned to himself, this was definitely something worth checking out.

Darius in truth had no cloaking. At all. But one of his guardians WAS following him. It actually was invisible, but could leave foot prints. Not that it was on the ground mind you, it was nimbly scurrying on the tops of the vendors and along the sides of buildings. Darius continued on his way toward the palace, intent on introducing himself and offering his services to the local ruler. Then he noticed his guardian had stopped. Bare in mind that Darius couldn't technically see his sentinel either, atleast not right now. So it took a great deal of practice before he learned when his sentinel was around, and when it wasn't.
It seemed... interested by something. Darius could just barely make out the sound of it scurrying over a building in pursuit of whatever it was that grabbed it's attention. Curious himself, Darius silently followed after it...

Slowly, Gustav crawled away from the wall shielding him from the population below. He was just about to start checking his equipment when his foot brushed against one of the soup tins that once contained a life saving meal. He looked down at the empty tin and knew he had a choice to make, either to peruse the invisible one and risk having to leave in a hurry with no supplies or he could forget about the invisible one and go out into the market to raid what supplies he could make off with. In the end, the choice was obvious to Gustav at least. He would head out and grab whatever supplies he could make off with down in the market below.
Without hesitation, Gustav grabbed his pack, loaded it up with the few remaining supplies he had left and made his way for the single staircase that was the only access point to the whole building. Little did he know he was about to literally, come face to face with the creature that had caused the small disturbance he had noted only moments before.

Darius' sentinel was an excellent tracker. And soon found Gustav when he literally bumped right into it. Gustav would briefly feel something cold, and hard not unlike something covered in scales. It was so quiet, you couldn't even hear it breathe, if it even did breathe at all. The Sentinel did nothing, it merely watched Gustav to see what he would do next.
Darius in the mean time, had sort of lost the Sentinel among the buildings. Having to resort to levitation, he landed on a rooftop but couldn't find where his servant had gone. This was slightly problematic...

Gustav had barely made it a quarter of the way down the tower when he slammed right into something cold with a texture close to that of the scales of a snake. He went down hard, landing on his back and slamming his head hard against the steps, for the briefest of moments, he blacked out, a mild concussion that would certainly leave him with a nasty headache for a few hours to come.
He groaned, feeling the pain slowly starting to form from the hard fall against the steps. It only took his mind a couple of moments to process the thoughts, he realized that he had bumped into something. What else could explain his sudden hitting of something not there and falling flat on his back. A moment of panic flooded his mind before he started to reach for his weapon Chopper, hoping that whoever he had bumped into didn't have a weapon drawn at him at that very moment in time.

((Sorry for the delay. I've been coming on here less and less))
The Sentinel didn't use weapons. It was big enough that it could just rely on raw strength. So when it saw him reach for a weapon, it launched into action and knocked it away. Briefly leaving the door unguarded as it quickly spun around, it knew what a weapon was. And now Gustav was an enemy. It howled, or roared, whichever it was, The Sentinel moved to attack Gustav, it's shadow being the only thing visible...

Gustav felt.... Something kick his right hand hard. Hard enough for him to feel something break from the impact of the force. He screamed in pain even as the second blow connected, breaking his jaw and causing his head to violently snap back, dislocating his spine just enough to sever his spinal cord. Gustav was long dead before his eyes finally closed themselves on their own accord.
