Among the endless sand dunes stood a lone platform about 5 feet high. That and a bench off to the side. This wasn't colored like most arena platforms, as it was Purple with a red base. A small flyer drifted across the arena, reading "Calling all challengers. A tournament shall be held in Agrabah in three days time, with a prize of One-Hundred Thousand Munny." In the middle of the bench, Van appeared as she warped away from her sister in secret. "I wouldn't normally do this kind of thing..." Van said, covering her blue eyes from the sand in the wind "but I owe Katie alot for getting her banished from home...This will be a good start." Van finished talking to herself. She kicked her feet back and forth, calmly waiting for the other competitors.

A dark portal appeared in the middle of the desert, not too far away from the stranded arena. Emerging from that darkness was a hooded figure, barely under 6 feet tall, and wearing a black coat with gloves that masked every part of his body. The figure pulled the hood as tightly shut as possible, to prevent too muh sand from getting in his face "What kind of place is this? Talk about a dry heat…" Spotting a structure (the arena) close by, the figure, holding his hood tightly shut so he could keep his eyes on his destination. If Van were to look around, she would see the dark fabric of the figure's coat amidst the bright colors of the sandy desert slowly making his way to the arena. (hopefully Van is more proactive than Lynn was with interaction )

(I think you mean Lynn, because she was very anti-social before she sacrificed herself, and I roleplayed as Lynn in that thread "Le Yawn". Van is Katie's sister who was evil until recently)
Van started pushing the sand under her feet around with her boots, just passing the time. She let out a deep sigh just before the back of her neck started to tingle. She looked around, searching for the energy. No way I'm getting corrupted. Standing up, Van faced the approaching newcomer. Even though she had no intention to fight, Van rested her palms on the bottoms of her straight katanas, X and Y. "Hmm? Who are you? Are you here for the tournament?" Van didn't really have a great feeling about this figure due to their using of dark portals. What she didn't know for sure was that if they started a fight, they would both be disqualified. She did factor in the possibility, and would not start combat for now.

The figure stopped when someone in the vicinity got defensive because of his approach. Sighing, the man folded back his hood and used one of his hands to shield his eyes from the blaring sun "Is that why this big platform is here? I honestly just arrived here out of chance." The boy unzipped the front of his coat and tugged it off, his clothes beneath the coat changing colors and patterns to what they were before the black coat altered them "Name's Arin Delas, sorry for looking threatening before with the coat, it's the best way I can stay safe in those corridors...So, what's this you're saying about a tournament miss...?"

Arin seemed friendly enough...but...So did Rubbi.. Van dropped her hands off her blades. Va then introduced herself...kind of. "I don't have a name. But I guess you can call me Blue Eyed Bandit. Or Bandit, for short." Ok, so she didn't really introduce herself, but at least it was a name. "I believe the tournament host will be here any minute, and the prize is 100,000 munny. There should be two more people showing up, but that seems like a weird tournament number...3 people?"

Arin shrugged his shoulders when the 'Bandit' introduced herself, but whistled quietly when the prize was explained to him, rubbing his chin softly as he mulled over the thought of fighting in the tournament for kicks "Well, I can't really use my portals too often, too risky, so I'll be in this world for a while…Eh, why not, sounds like this could be fun. I've ben dying to try out some of my new abilities in a safe competition, but I haven't been able to find anyplace that fit." He then noticed the two katana strapped to the bandit's sides, grinning "I see you're a dual-swords woman, I got a bit of skill in dual-wield myself. Maybe we'll clash swords when the tournament finally gets underway." Arin grinned confidently as he looked into the bandit's blue eyes. He had come a long way since escaping the darkness, and his skills had only gotten better with every encounter he had, both with people from various worlds, and from the many Heartless that came for him in the past because of what he possessed.

Resting her head in her hand, Van calmly said "Yup. Dual Swords, that's my special power.." She then heard him say that just maybe they would fight. "Maybe...Really wouldn't be to fair of a fight but I'd try to get a good hit." This was all very difficult for her. She knew how to talk but she had to be nice due to her alignment shift. Something new entirely that she hadn't done with anyone but her sister. "The Host will be here soon. I would get prepared while you can.
Two men appeared, obvious combatants. The two brothers, Lee and Sean, are both garbed in red and white. Lee wields a pair of knives and Sean wields a big hammer. They didn't seem to talk, being to focused on the up-coming battles.

Arin looked back at the two combatants, raising an eyebrow at the two as they approached. Arin heard the Bandit's warning and waved her off "I'm sure I'll be fine, it doesn't take long for me to get ready for a battle." He reached into his pocket and pulled out a pair of metal rods, one a bluish silver and the other a pitch black, and each decorated with a gold wiring swirling around the handles. With a single thought, both blades materialized. The silver one appeared in a bright flash of light, and the black blade formed in a mass of darkness. After bouncing the swords for a while to remember the feel of the blades, he recalled the blades, and the vanished just as fast as they materialized "As they say; The gang's all here."

Ok, so dual blades like me. That means that I won't have a free hand when we fight. IF we fight..
Van looked on as Arin showed off his weapons. Sighing, she didn't do anything fancy with her weapons, she just tilted her head and shook it. "Hmm...fancy powers. I wish I could do stuff like that. I just have my swords." Lee and Sean walked over to the two, Placing their weapons on the ground. Quietly whispering to each other, Lee than vanished into the sand. Speak to the two remaining, Sean casually said "Sorry about not meeting my brother, he had an errand to run."
There was a plan. Lee shot out from the sand behind Van, playfully pulling her cheeks. "My my, you don't seem anything like your reputation makes you out to be. You are just a weak little princess, aren't you. Come on, Van Dawn, speak up, we can't hear you."

Arin was about to say something to the newcomer, but was cut off by his brother appearing behind himself and…Van? Wait, she said she didn't have a name. That excuse must have been for personal reasons, still, the new person, Lee, was being rude with his behavior, and he didn't appreciate that "I'm sure I'll have plenty of time to ask you later about hiding your name from me, Van. But for now, do you want some help with that nuisance who's harassing you?"

Lee was having a good old time pulling Van's cheeks and teasing her. One could only imagine the horrifying things she wanted to do to this man, but..."No no, do not worry. He is just taking advantage of my alignment shift and the fact that we can't fight each other right now. I believe he is trying to strike a nerve and make me disqualify for the tourney." Van just gave an innocent smile and placed her hands over his. She did something, and she slowly put Lee's hands down, walking away from him.
And then, a woman in clothing normal worn in Agrabah appeared out of a light portal. "Heroes and Heroines from the universe, welcome to the 5th annual Agrahbah Tournament! Now, please put your names in this box and we will pick the first duel!"

Arin shrugged and walked over to the box, pocketing his swords and writing his name on a piece of parchment that found its way into the roulette box. Passing by the other brother, Sean, along the way, stopping long enough to spark a bit of tension between them that could draw some of the attention away from why they were targeting Van "I wonder which of you three I'll be clashing with in the first round. Maybe I'll be lucky enough to keep Van company while you and your nuisance brother fight first."
Without another word, he kept walking, taking a seat at the bench and sitting in wait for the start of the tournament.

Sean wanted very much to crush this guy with his Hammer. The tension Arin created Sean felt it 100 fold, gritting his teeth. Writing her name on a paper slip, Van placed it in the box after Lee and Sean. The hostess shook the box a few times, making sure all the names were mixed up. "Ok, guys and gals. Let's see who the first match is!" Reaching into the box, the hostess read "First up, we have...Arin and...Lee! So that leaves Sean and Van up after. The winner of each of those shall compete in the Finals for the prize money!" The hostess ushered Arin and Lee up to the platform, which would form invisible, un-breakable walls to protect on-lookers. "When you are ready on your opposite corners, you may begin!
(I'm giving you full control over Lee and his dual knives)

Arin approached the 5 foot high platform, making his way up the steps as Lee casually strides up the opposite side. Lee was wearing a wide grin as he stared eagerly at Arin, his new opponent stretching his arms and legs while the walls of the arena lit up "Stretch all you want, pal, the most it's going to do is make you harder to hit. And with no weapons of your own, I highly oubt this will be a challenge."
Arin raised an eyebrow when Lee gloated about him 'not having any weapons', actually grinning as he realized he wasn't close enough to notice his swords, or was just too focused on Van during their approach to notice. Pocketing his hands, he just stood there, assessing Lee's physique, and somewhat awkward fighting pose "Well, don't sell me short, 'pal', I might just surprise you."
Lee was standing at an angle from Arin his legs bent and spread out, and he had his arms in odd positions from his body. Lee's left arm was positioned in front of him, his forearm bent in and slightly downward, and his right was positioned perpendicular to his body, bent forward, and aimed at Arin. Both hands had four knives gripped in a claw style, the blades double edged for backhand and forehand strikes "I'll make quick work out of you, blondie, you won't take up enough of my time to surprise me."
The Agrabah host stepped to the side of the arena and raised her arm up for attention "Combatants ready?" Lee grinned and slowly bent his right arm back, while Arin eased his right arm out of his pocket, concealing his light sword handle. The host lowered her arm, aimed at the enter of the arena, and declared the match start "Fight!"
Lee wasted no time in taking action, swinging his right arm forward and releasing one knife while bracing his left arm to do the same. For eight rapid, consecutive times, he flung all of his blades forward, before reaching for his remaining two and rushing forward. Arin had used the time it took for Lee to throw his knife to summon his sword, freeing his left hand and summoning his dark sword while deflecting the first knife, then alternating to deflect with his dark sword, and repeating the process.
Just as the eighth knife was deflected, Arin thrusted his light sword forward. Lee, of course, was a bit quicker than that, quick-stepping out of the way of the sword thrust and ducking under the slash with Arin's dark sword, and preparing to stab Arin in the back while he was open. But Arin saw this coming. Recalling his dark blade just as the attack was missed, he flipped the grip into reverse hold, re-summoned the blade, and spun his body for a left handed stabbing motion right at Lee's chest, point blank. Lee just had enough time to position his knives in front of his chest, and block the strike. And for the moment, time just seemed to stand still.
Arin got a good look at the expression on Lee's face as he realized that his speed wasn't enough for this match, and he was down to only two knives, which were between him, and a lethal strike to the chest "Come on, Lee. I thought you were supposed to make quick work out of me. What happened to all that confidence from before?" Arin bent his left arm and swung with his right, aiming for a vertical slash from Lee's shoulder, to his hip. Lee barely avoided that lethal blow by jumping to the side and launching a ball of sand directly into Arin's face
"Ah!" Arin back-stepped with his eyes shut, bumping against the wall of the arena and rubbing his eyes with his forearm, which only managed to push the grains deeper, while getting the most of it off of his face. Lee grinned and walked around the arena, picking his knives back up and stalking his prey while it was blinded "So you were fast enough to block against my knife barrage and counter my crippling strike with your magic swords. He bent his arms in front of him and took aim at Arin, all of his knives poised to aim for their target all at once "I'd like to see you try that again while you can't see!" Lee lunged forward with his arms, all eight knives flying in unison this time.
Arin, tired of Lee's cocky attitude, decided he needed to teach this punk a lesson. But first he needed to be able to see, and he couldn't very well do that if he was incapacitated. Taking Lee's words as a clue, and hearing a lack of footsteps, he could only imagine that Lee went with the knife throwing trick again. Focusing on his light, he used the only failsafe he had that could effectively protect him from what was coming without seeing where it was coming from "Guard!"
A large dome of light surrounded Arin's body and deflected all but one of the knives effectively, that particular knife being redirected and leaving a deep gash in his left shoulder, mere inches from a lethal point of his body. Arin was just able to wipe his watery eyes clean enough to see properly, before seeing that the tips of the blades were actually imbedded in the barrier itself *Any slower, and that knife could have hit my throat…Talk about lucky.* Now fully able to see, he glared at Lee as he let the barrier fall, the knives falling to the ground before him in the process "That was a cheap trick…"
Darkness started swirling around Arin's feet, starting from his soles and stretching outward. Meanwhile, his body was glowing faintly, and only growing brighter as the darkness grew in size "I wasn't planning on using this so soon, but I have more tricks up my sleeve, so I think I can risk using one of my trump cards to punish you…"
Lee, desperate to stop what was about to transpire before it was too late, hurled his remaining two knives at Arin. The darkness rose upward and swirled around his body, stopping the knives from getting a direct hit, and were blown away by the explosion of light. Arin was now donning his black coat, and his forearms and swords shared an aura akin to that which formed the swords. His right arm, which held his light sword, had coils of white aura surrounding his forearm, while his left, which held his darkness, was surrounded by smoky ropes of darkness. Arin aimed his left hand at Lee and conjured his only offensive spell "Fire!"
A wave of black flames surged toward Lee, and he was unable to defend in time, only able to disperse the flames by firing sand orbs at the plume of fire. But his distraction was exactly what Arin wanted. Arin had been following right behind the fire, weaving in and out of the sand attacks so he could make a stealth finish. Once the opportunity arose, he struck first with his right sword, slicing horizontally while passing Lee on the left, while spinning around and delivering a deciding blow to Lee's back with a diagonal slash with his left sword. Lee was now emitting two elemental discharges from his wounds, a glowing white mist from the light aura that struck his chest, and a dark smoky mass oozing from his back, which was clearly dealt by the dark sword, its purple gem glowing ominously.
Arin watched on as Lee fell to one knee, trying to keep himself upright with one arm, before finally falling forward and passing out on the arena floor. Arin recalled his swords and pocketed the handles, waiting for the host to declare the match's conclusion "The first match has come to an end, the victor is Arin Delas!" Arin took a deep breath and let his drive form power down, removing his coat and letting the coat dematerialize and reform into the black band around his wrist and the coil around his arm.
He glanced at Sean as he walked down the steps, then to the host "You have medical specialists available, right? He's not in serious danger, but I'd still treat him as soon as possible." He walked over and sat on the bench, crossing one leg over the other in a way that could be used as a rudimentary table if necessary "Good luck, Van, show big brother over there who's boss."

And with that, the match was over. Arin was the clear victor, leaving Lee with multiple lacerations and bruises. Sean pumped his chest once, glaring at his brother angrily. "Are you kidding, Lee? I thought you were the perfect partner for this tournament. Whatever."
Van was watching on the sidelines, gasping at the flurry and the resulting wounds. As she went to the bench, Arin sat by her, telling her that the big brother was all her's. "Well...I want to run, but I owe my sister, so I'll do my best." Sean walked over. looking down at her from where he stood. "Well, Van...you think you should go through with this? Seriously. I don't feel like pulling any punches, but I don't want to ruin your hair. I had friends on Rai, Van. I think it's time you pay for that."
"Ok, Van and Sean. Let's get this match on the road!" The hostess called. Van and Sean both stepped onto the platform as the invisible walls went up. "Ok, whenever you are ready...begin!" Sean immediately charged Van, dragging his hammer along the ground. Giving it a horizontal swing, the hammer was narrowly ducked by Van. Sean started to swing the opposite direction. Van stepped in so the full force of the hammer didn't hit her. She then yanked it out of Sean's grip.
Van now held the hammer...and immediately fell backwards due to the shear weight. Sean took a few steps at her, stepping on the hammer. Rake Effect Van and the hammer were flung upwards, launching Van into the air and smashing Sean's face with the handle.
With a sinister grin, Sean wiped his face and went to knock Van out of the air. "Oh yeah, my swords!" Van unsheathed her blades. Colliding her blades with the hammer, Van went straight into the invisible wall, wincing in pain. She fell onto her back, feet facing Sean. Leaving no time to react, Sean crushed Van with his hammer. Hefting it over his shoulder, he noticed Van was still there, alive and well. So he smashed it again. Same result.
Van jumped off of the ground, 10 feet from Sean. "Goodness...you really could have hurt me. Can I have a turn, now?" Van started flash stepping on every side, slashing him once each time. Sean started yelling, saying they were not finished, yet as Van was walking towards Sean hammer 15 feet away. Van thought Ok...nice and easy. No need for that.. Van yanked him to his back, hand heeling his head to knock him out.
Sean was warped by lee, unconscious. The hostess explained how this would be the last match, and gestured for the two Finalists to enter the arena.

Arin moved his left shoulder around slowly, trying to get accustomed to the pain before the impending matchup "I have to admit, Van, you have some skill. Though some of that could have just been luck." He pulled out both of his swords and let the blades come out, the aura from before no longer surrounding his weapons or his arms, so he was still recovering from last time "I have a feeling this will be a fun matchup."
As he made his way up the stairs, he cracked his neck a couple times, trying to relax up his muscles so that he wouldn't pull something during the fight "And I have some stuff I want to ask you when this is over, so don't just walk away after you get the prize money if you win, alright?"

Van, sighed, walking up the steps before the invisible walls went up. Cracking her neck, she quickly un-sheathed her blades, getting into a ready position. "Apparently you've never heard of me. This is good. As the hostess yelled to start, Van let loud out a long yawn, stabbing her two blades into the ground at an angle and lying on top of them like a hammock, facing the opposite direction of Arin.
"Ok, ok, you get the pre-emptive strike. I'm just to tired to be the one who starts." Van was being cocky. Perhaps to cocky. Live and learn, I guess. So she just lay there, facing away from Arin, waiting for the first move.

Arin frowned when Van just started acting like an overconfident rookie, glaring at the back of Van's head disapprovingly "…That's not funny…You may be tired, but I'm not going to strike someone who's defenseless, let alone their back turned to me…I reserve that kind of behavior when I fight Heartless or someone who's threatening someone else's life…" He remained adamant in his decision, refusing to make a move just yet "If you want to rest, fine, but I'm not attacking you while you have your guard down...

Standing up and stretching, Van shook her head. "Well, I tried. Oh well, here I come." Van pulled both of her blades out of the ground. Holding them both in one hand, she through them both. One directly at Arin and the second just above him, which reached it's destination before the 1st. Shooting a lightning stream at the 2nd blade, she traveled through it instantaneously. As she appeared above Arin, Van grabbed her blade and warped to the 1st blade, now just in front of Arin. She did an X slash at where he would be if he did not move in time.

*She can teleport?!* Arin rolled out of the way of Van's X slash, flipping to face her. Aiming his left hand at Van, he shot out a wave of black flames at Van, following behind the flames with both arms crossed in front of him. Using the flames as a mask for his intentions, he slashed diagonally upward in an X, and a projectile shaped in the same manner as his attack flew through the fire, straight toward Van's midsection. After jumping back a few feet, he watched as the flames dissipated.
If Van managed to roll out of the way of the Cross slash attack, the flames had a wider berth than the X. At such a close range, and without throwing her swords ahead of time, blindly in fact (which could end badly if Arin spotted the blade before she could teleport), she would have to either block the slash for minimal damage, but still take a direct hit, and additional fire damage, or roll out of the way of the slash, but still have to deal with the flames initial, and continuous (for two additional posts) damage.
Arin waited with both swords poised to either attack or defend, waiting for either the flames to dissipate to reveal Van's location, or to see Van try her teleportation trick again, and try and get the jump on her before she could gain her bearings.
