Amaya didn't wear her armor today. In fact, she looked like any other person that might have lived here in Radiant Garden. Truthfully, this wasn't her homeworld. Amaya hailed from the world known as Earthsea. Today, she was here in a different world for matters of her own. What that was, she planned on telling no one. In anyone's eyes, she looked like any normal girl with brown hair and eyes. No one would suspect that she was a part of the famed Dragoon Warriors. Then again, considering what was happening lately, it was a good thing no one knew. If they did, they would probably think of her as a threat. After all, the other three weren't doing heroic things like they were suppose to be doing. No, in fact, it were as if they had become completely different people. That's what Amaya was here for.
There was a vast library that was said to be stored in one of the castles here. Since Amaya wasn't a local, she didn't know which of the castles held such a library. Making her way through the Marketplace, she came across the Bailey. It was said out this way that the security system couldn't protect the people of this world well. It wasn't as faulty anymore like it had been when it was first thought of. Only now, once anyone reached the Bailey area was when things got hairy.
Amaya took pause as she glanced at it from the edge of the town. Looming over everything else was the castle. As she set her gaze upward, Amaya could see that even now, the castle was still undergoing restoration. The Restoration Committee was doing a grand job of it too. If one were able to look beyond the restoration tools and machinery, they would notice the new look the castle was slowly gaining. How long would it remain that way? Would they even manage to restore it before the Dragoon Warriors reached this place? So far, all Amaya had heard all day were rumors of happenings going on in other worlds. There was no news of her sister or her friends just yet. It was only a matter of time before they would reach this place and wreak havoc. After all, ever since what happened, Amaya had suddenly become one of their most favored targets.
Thankfully, they hadn't reached this place. However, that meant she had little time to spare. She needed to get to that library and fast! Maybe there could be an answer for her to find that could help her with her situation. So far, the other places she had visited didn't bring anything up. No matter how hard she searched, everything just seemed to give her the same answer. The answer that she wished she never had to do to resolve her problem.
There was a sound and Amaya turned on the spot, her brows furrowed. "What do you want?" she growled.

(Hoo boy, pitch black text on the darkness theme, this'll be fun lol)
A dark portal opened close to Amaya's location, and a cloaked figure emerged. Not even two seconds after emerging, he flinched by the sudden hostile tone in someone's voice. Turning his hooded head to look at the woman who had addressed him, he had to admit she was kind of attractive, though definitely had an intimidating aura about her.
Since the dark portal had long since closed, he figured now was as good a time as any to remove his protective layer. Responding to the girl's harsh question with a bit more attitude than was necessary, he yanked the coat off, and it burst into light particles and reformed into the metal coil around his left arm "Was the attitude really necessary, lady? I only arrive in this world for a second and already I get an attitude…I get that Radient Garden residents don't trust people in coats, but hostile attitude too? The social quality of the people in this world must be declining somewhat since my last visit."
The stranger, a blonde spiky haired boy who was clearly close to Amaya in age, crossed his arms and looked Amaya in the eye as he studied her curiously "I'm just a random stranger passing from world to world, learning from each experience so I can face my own personal demons when the time finally comes…Does that answer your question, lady?"

Amaya only just realized that what she had heard was the opening of a portal. When the figure stepped out, she almost thought of a Nobody at first. However, as the figure removed the hood of their cloak, dismissing it with light so that they reformed on his wrist into something metallic looking. As the figure spoke, it became more obvious that it was a guy she was talking to. Crossing her arms, Amaya rose a brow as the other chose to respond. Honestly, he had a very good reason to react the way that he did. Amaya had technically verbally lashed out at him.
As Amaya allowed him to finish, she could tell he had to be about her age, maybe a bit younger. "Hmph, my apologies. I automatically assume others are following me when I take notice of them." Her tone stated that she wasn't genuinely sorry. If anything, she was apologizing for the fact she lashed out at him rather than actually feeling sorry for her actions. She certainly had an intimidating air about her. Even more so, how gruff she was toward this person just added on to her hostility.
"Well, good luck with that. We all have our own personal demons to take care of." Amaya quite literally had three of them wandering out there in the Gummi universe that traveled from world to world, wreaking havoc as they went. Speaking of which, they could already be on their way here. She needed to get moving. "The locals here are much too kind for their own good." After stating that, Amaya turned her back on the young man as she made her way toward the Bailey. Although it was a place known for Heartless attacks and the like, it was clear that she didn't fear the idea. Either she was crazy or she really could handle herself and just didn't care what challenges that she might face in the meantime.
(OOC: Whoops, didn't know you had the dark theme but now that you mentioned it, here's white dialog text instead lol)

Arin raised an eyebrow when Amaya apologized, not quite convinced of her sincerity due to her tone *Sure she is…* But when the mention of having her own demons to take care of, and how she thought of the local residents, it dawned on him that this girl wasn't exactly from this world *I knew I didn't recognize her from the last time I was here, she must be a drifter like me.*
He decided to stick close to the girl, especially considering she was heading for a Heartless hot spot. Not quite ready to stand right beside her just yet, he followed close behind, just to watch her back if need be "I take it then, that you're like me, and you're not from this world. So, what brings you to Radiant Garden?"

Amaya couldn't care less if the young man didn't believe her apology. At least she had said it rather than totally disregarding the fact that she basically jumped all over him with her remark upon his arrival. It really did look as though he had only arrived. Even still, it was best to get going and ignore this man. She had important things to do and couldn't afford any distractions. She wasn't even sure exactly how much time she had here but she planned on making the most of it. Anything else would just get in her way.
As she walked, she could hear the stranger following her. Although she wasn't facing him, she paused for a short moment when he spoke to her. Rolling her eyes, while she still faced ahead of her, Amaya finally turned around to glare at him. Yes, she glared. If anything, she found this encounter annoying. She would very much rather part ways and go about her business. The sooner she found what she needed, the sooner she could remedy what was happening to the other three Dragoon Warriors.
"Look, I'm not here to talk but yes, I am a traveler. I've urgent business that needs taking care of. What that is, is my own business. Now, if you don't mind..." Amaya trailed off before stalking further into the Bailey hoping that she had somehow deterred the other following her. She never meant to be so harsh but considering the things she has been through for a while, she has become harsh because of it. Amaya didn't want to do it but if the need be, she would adorn her armor and hopefully chase him off. If that didn't work, well, then at least she'd know he was strong enough to handle himself if he didn't flee or get hurt in the process. Amaya wouldn't kill this stranger but she would certainly test him. Even she had the smarts to know that she couldn't handle her situation alone. However, she wasn't going to just let anybody help her either. She couldn't risk innocent lives.

Arin sighed and shook his head when Amaya turned and walked away after glaring and scolding him, finding her attitude to be a tad bit unnecessary. The girl obviously seemed like she was through a lot recently, maybe he could do something to make it up to her "Well, I've obviously made you wait to deal with your business because of my arrival, how about I make it up to you by helping you finish your business?" He hardly expected a hostile retaliation. At most, he was expecting the girl to merely spin on her heel, glare at him again, and tell him -in her own words- to get lost.

(OOC: If I am posting too often for you tonight, do let me know so I can slow things down.)
Amaya knew she had been harsh but right now, she couldn't care. Once she read those books, she hoped to find a way to save her friends and sister. That was all that she cared about right now. Unfortunately, no matter where she seemed to turn everything just seemed to only point to one possible solution. It was a solution that Amaya didn't agree with. She sincerely hoped there was another path that she could take instead. However, if the fates will it, then she would have to do it.
As she went, she could hear the guy still walking behind her. 'Ugh, why won't he just leave already?' Amaya thought with annoyance. Then, she finally registered what he was saying. Who in their right mind would offer help over something they clearly weren't intentionally responsible for? She narrowed her eyes as she abruptly paused in her tracks. With her back still facing him, Amaya glanced over her shoulder at Arin. Although her eyes were narrowed it wasn't as nasty of a glare as before.
"What makes you think you'd be of any help? If you cannot fend for yourself, you are only a hindrance."
As she turned, this time, to face him Amaya's armor suddenly formed about her. Judging by the way the armor looked it had the semblance of a dragon, a black dragon. A scythe appeared in her hand. As she held it, her helmeted face hidden mostly from view, looking at her now no one would have suspected that a woman was wearing the armor.
"Where I am going, it is dangerous. I do not risk others becoming burdens just because they think that they can fend for themselves. If you think you can even be remotely of any help, then prove it!" As she said this, Amaya stood at the ready. It was clear what she was implying by her stance. She intended to fight this stranger. If he could avoid attacks and not get hurt much then he might be of some use against the three Dragoon Warriors that they would eventually face. That is, if he could even fend for himself.
"Of course, there is no dishonor in choosing to not fight and leaving. If you do choose that path, then I go on alone and your help won't be necessary." Usually, this deterred others from wanting to follow Amaya. Honestly, she was hoping it would make him tuck tail and run.

Arin smirked and saw that the girl decided that the only way he would help her was if he could fend for himself, and was actually surprised to see such a unique looking set of armor and weapons "…I think you'll find I'm more than capable of taking care of myself…" He drew a pair of sword grips, and with a simple flick of his wrists, a glowing blue blade and a dense black blade formed from those handles.
Taking one step back to prepare himself, Arin aimed both blades at Amaya, the dark blade closer with his slightly extended arm while his right arm was bent to aim the blade in a similar fashion "You're the villain in this scenario dragon-lady, come at me." His tone was almost smug, as if he wasn't even going all out yet. If Amaya wanted him to give her his all, she was going to have to be rough on him.

Amaya waited. Instead of leaving, like she had hoped, this stranger decided to remain. Oh well, there was no helping it at this point. Now, there was no stopping the inevitable. They would fight. From the fight, only then would she see if this person wouldn't be a burden. Amaya couldn't afford to be slowed down by someone that couldn't manage anything.
"We'll see about that."
Where she didn't think so highly of herself, Amaya planned on showing this stranger that he had a lot to work for if he planned on being of any help. As she watched him take a step back, she noticed that he took out two sword grips from the looks of it but they hadn't any blades. At least, they didn't until he gave each of the sword grips a bit of a flick. Now, there were blades made out of energy. One looked like dark condensed energy and the other, it wasn't exactly clear to her what that was.
When next he spoke, Amaya scoffed at him. "If you're judging by the color of my armor, you're sadly mistaken. I'm far from that of a villain." Charging into a fight would be a stupid move. Amaya was much smarter than that. Instead, she darted to the side so that she wouldn't go directly in for an attack. From where she was, at least six feet away from his right side, she gave her scythe a slash. As she did so, an energy slash reached outward from her weapon. However, it wasn't a kill move. Amaya made sure that she wouldn't go too far and that where she was convincing she wasn't a killer.

Arin watched as the armored girl sidestepped and made for a ranged strike that was seemed convincing enough, but he somehow had the feeling that it wasn't a lethal strike. Still, it never hurt to be cautious "…Metaphorically, lady…" Scythes were fairly long weapons, and even the fastest scythe wielders would need a small margin of time for swinging such a large weapon. Arin used this to his advantage, ducking down out of the scythe blades's trajectory, and facing Amaya while crossing his arms in front of himself "I'm trying to set a scenario for this test of yours." Now wide open, Arin swept diagonally with both blades, launching an X-shaped projectile that covered well over Amaya's armor in size. However, the shape of the energy attack was nowhere near any vital points, and Arin was aware of this fact.
Since this girl seemed to like her scythe so much, getting in close to avoid the blade would be a good option. Arin rushed Amaya and went straight for the throat with his blades crossed in front of him again to do a double horizontal slash. But if Amaya didn't dodge or counter, and he could get a solid hit, he would stop just short of cutting Amaya's neck, either with one or both blades.

(OOC: Might want to edit out that obvious part since I never stated it was obviously a non-kill move. I only stated where it was a convincing move, it's not a kill move. He wouldn't know that it wasn't a kill move unless he got hit by it.)
Amaya could see that the stranger was charging for what he thought was an opening. Sure, it took time to swing a scythe but he was dealing with a Dragoon Warrior. Her armor wasn't just for show. As if to show him that, Amaya leapt out of the X-Projectile's way using her wings to temporarily take her into the air.
Quickly, she landed several feet from where she was. The stranger didn't stop there, however. Now, he was intending to keep coming in close.; This time, he seemed as if he were going for her throat. Bringing her tail around in one fluid motion, she used that to block the blades instead of her scythe.
"Nice try but my armor's tail is quicker."
Admittedly, it wasn't an easy block but after all the fights she endured when traveling with her friends and sister, she had been through a lot. They had to be in order to defend the worlds from harm. Most worlds around them knew them by sight and name. Of course, they weren't invincible. What happened to her friends and sister made her see that. "I hope that's not all you have." As she had said this, Amaya leapt back about ten feet through the air, landing on one of the stone ledges. When she landed, there were suddenly two of her. A copy made of shadow, obviously, that seemed to inherit her ability to leap and fly. The two parted ways, Amaya making the test a little tougher by adding one more. Pretty soon, she'll introduce the three copies she could make which looked identical to her in appearance unlike this shadow copy.
"You should congratulate yourself. Not many who I've challenged have come this far before." Amaya was on the right and the shadow copy was on the left on the stone ledges. For the time being, neither of them moved. It were as if they were waiting to see what the stranger had next in store for them.

(Better?) Arin raised an eyebrow when the girl's armor suddenly blocked his strikes, curious about this strange ability *I guess those wings and tail aren't just for show after all…This could be troublesome* Then, the girl leapt back and made a shadow copy of herself, no doubt with the same strength and skill as the original. Amused, Arin's blades slowly retracted until there was only the handles again "Somehow, I only imagine people turning tail and running the moment you challenge them."
Arin tapped the pauldron on his left shoulder and his body was engulfed in a bright light. While his body was glowing, an object seemed to be forming in his right hand. As soon as the light faded away, Arin was now clad in a full body armor unlike any that had been seen before, not for over a decade. And in his hand, a gold, black and white keyblade, seemingly made with the wings of angels and demons in appearance. He flung the keyblade full force at the copy, then rushed at Amaya. He aimed his left hand at her and a large wave of black flames projected themselves at her, masking Arin's movements.
Once Amaya was clear of the flames, be it guarding or evading, Arin was there to greg her with a metallic fist aimed straight for her jaw

(OOC: Tis fine, thank you.)
Amaya could see the look on the stranger's face when he realized that her armor's dragon tail could actually move. In fact, it seemed as though he were amazed by the fact that the tail could actually block his attack. It amused Amaya only because surprising people was fun. Not many knew that the wings and tail could actually do anything.
"As you might have guessed already...the armor's wings and tail act like extensions of myself. It's almost as if I really do have wings and a tail."
While Amaya and her copy remained perched on the stone ledges, Amaya watched as the stranger retracted his energy blades. Just what else did he have up his sleeve or was he quitting now? As he spoke, Amaya smirked. "Most are cowardly...then you get those that quit halfway, realizing they took on more than they could handle."
After saying that, the stranger tapped something on his shoulder. It looked like some kind of armor. Perhaps, a pauldron. When he did so, he had suddenly become engulfed with light. The sudden brightness had caused Amaya to shield her eyes. She gritted her teeth as her eyes stung temporarily with pain from the sudden burst of light. When it faded, Amaya blinked for a moment to take a look at what had become of the stranger. What she saw next made her raise her brows a bit.
The stranger, apparently, was a keyblade warrior. Well, that certainly explained a lot. Mostly, Amaya seemed to encounter normal people that thought they could amount to anything and thought of themselves as invincible. After a brief fight, most of the seasoned would-be-fighters would run away from her. No, what she was dealing with here was a keyblade warrior.
"Well, this will be interesting."
It didn't take long for the stranger to spring his attack. Throwing his keyblade at her shadow copy, he focused in on Amaya by sending a wave of black flames from the looks of it. Not wishing to become barbecued, Amaya leapt away from them unable to detect where the stranger had gone. Then, he appeared. Unfortunately, she didn't have time to move when his fist made contact with her jaw. The result sent her flying back from impact. The result was Amaya getting sent off the ledge on the other side and out of the Bailey. Where she landed in a heap was the Heartless infested pathway but there were no Heartless...yet.
As for her shadow copy, it was still going. It took a hit from the keyblade but wasn't out for the count. The hit hurt it, of course, but it took three hits to make it go away. After being hit, the shadow copy focused on Arin and made a slash at him with the shadow scythe. Where it could slash with a weapon, it didn't have the unique energy slash that Amaya had used earlier.

Arin spun around and countered with his keyblade, which had reappeared in his right hand. He used both hands to deflect the scythe's attack, his left hand pushing on the blade as his body slid with the scythe's swing, and stopping the attack just past the apex of the shadow copy's strike "…I haven't forgotten about you…"
Spinning his keyblade to run the back of the blade against the copy's, Arin hooked the teeth of his keyblade against the scythe's blade, just at the base, and ducked under it to yank the scythe's blade downward. He then proceeded with forcing the scythe into the ground with his foot, recalling the keyblade to his left hand in reverse hold, and delivering a kick to the copy's midsection to knock it away from its primary weapon.
He proceeded with closing the distance between himself and the copy and swung a hard left hook at the copy's head. Arin was aiming to strike with the guard of his keyblade, but if the copy were to move its head, he would told his hand to move the blade into place to try and make contact instead.

(OOC: Not aware if you know the full extent of powerplaying or not, not a biggie and not implying you don't know of powerplaying, but from what I have noticed in threads with others you have a tendency to force others into only 2 scenarios with an attempted attack of your charries where they, the other person, can end up getting hurt. Not saying that you're choosing ahead of time on them since they can always find a loophole but it's something I've noticed when you're in a fight. You may want to be more aware of it and try to not do that often since it's a roleplay and we don't have to be super powerful compared to everyone else. Also, not sure if you knew this either so just helping you along, in that it might be nice to also take some hits when fighting someone else (Not saying you're purposely avoiding all attacks btw in here just something I noticed in other topics you had been in) otherwise they fight against you and not get hurt in return out of spite. Just helpful tid bits and nothing offensive meant by any of this.)
The Shadow copy wasn't surprised to see that the keyblader whirled on the spot and blocked the attack it had attempted to make. The copy, emotionless as it was, watched as the keyblader hooked the scythe then made to try and disarm it. As Arin made to swing the scythe downward to get it into the ground, the copy just simply dispersed the scythe and had it reappear in its hand before leaping thirty feet into the air. Thus, the kick to the midsection was unsuccessful.
When the upper hook came, as the shadow copy had landed, the copy brought up the scythe to block the strike with the scythe. Much like Amaya's armor, it had the shadow copy's dragon tail lash out at Arin. Of course, not to kill. If Arin got hit by the tail, he would feel an uncomfortable poke that wouldn't pierce flesh or armor but could leave bruising.
While the fighting in the Bailey was going on, Amaya had been lying on the hard ground. The fall had knocked the wind out of her and hurt a good bit. Thankfully, she had her armor on which took most of the fall. Wincing, Amaya pushed herself up. It took her a moment to realize where she had landed. She had to be somewhere outside the Bailey since she had fallen off the stone ledge into the pathway. After sitting up and glancing over her shoulder, she could see the Great Maw just beyond where she had been laying. Getting to her feet, gritting her teeth, Amaya shook herself to make her body forget what she had just experienced. Down the other way, the castle wasn't too far from where she was.

Arin wasn't quick enough to dodge the oncoming tail thrust, grunting as he felt the force of the hit through his armor. "Nngh! That…will sting later... " Recovering quickly, he aimed his hand at the shadow copy's midsection with his free hand, launching a fire wave at the copy while in close proximity. Even if it wasn't enough to count toward a hit, if he could at least weaken the copy with some temporary burning damage. He just knew that he had to find a way to finish this copy off before his main opponent came back into the fight…Hopefully without resorting to his trump card.

Amaya knew nothing of what was going on with her shadow copy. Whenever she summoned those copies, regardles s of which type, she didn't exactly know what they were up to. She had imposed upon it to not kill, of course. This was only a test to see if the keyblade wielding stranger were able to hold up on his own when faced with a Dragoon Warrior. Admittedly, she had gone too easy on him from the start. It seemed like they had only gone easy on each other from the start.
'Oh well, need to conserve energy in case they appear here...' Amaya thought. Speaking of which, she could hear the sound of battle from above. No doubt, her copy was still doing what it was suppose to. All she would have to do is make it disperse and go about her business in finding that library. She was already wasting time by testing that stranger.
'Not really sure if this will be a good idea but he is a keyblade wielder. The keyblades do not choose or simply inherit to just anyone!' Amaya thought. She gave her jaw a bit of a rub though. That punch hadn't broken anything but it hurt enough where she was certain there would be a mark the next day.
As Amaya debated on what to do, she figured the swiftest way would be to end the fight here and now. If the others arrived, they would waste their energy on each other fighting. It would put them at a severe disadvantage if things kept going like this. 'Well, we'll see then...' Amaya raised a hand and opened up her hand. A she did so, Amaya waited.
Meanwhile back with Arin, the shadow copy looked like it would have continued attacking him aftr managing to land a hit on his stomach. Just when it looked ready to attempt another attack, it suddenly dispersed in a cloud of smoke, so to speak. In case the other was intent on fighting still, Amaya kept her armor on. After all, what fool completely trusted a total stranger? Only a fool! Amaya was not a fool. She didn't shout as she started to make her way down the path leading up toward the castle.
When Amaya reached the point where the stranger could see her walking in the opening that the aily had, she glanced over her should before gesturing over at him. "Alright, if you still want in, hurry up and get your armored butt over here so we can get a move on! Time is limited." Leave it to Amaya to be the gruff one. With that, she continued on her way. If he wanted to question her as to why she cut it short, she would only reveal what was necessary along the way.

Arin was confused as to why she ended the battle so abruptly. But then again, she did mention that she was pressed for time. Why, he had no idea, but he had a feeling that if he stuck close to this girl, he would find out eventually. Not needing to be told twice, he ran over to Amaya, recalling his keyblade, and the armor along with it.
Now back in his casual clothing again, he pocketed his hands and walked beside Amaya (armored or no?), following her lead as they slowly made their way to the castle "Not sure if I passed your test or not, but I'll just assume yes…So…What's your name anyway? I can't very well keep calling you lady if we'll be traveling together."
Truthfully, this girl did strike him as a bit harsh, but it wasn't anything he wasn't used to. His travels have helped him come across many various personality types, so he was used to the harsh ones. The trick was trying to find out WHY they were harsh, and this girl seemed to be a complicated one.

Amaya resumed her trek as she heard the other's approach. She was ready in case he tried to strike her down. Somehow, she didn't think he would but she wore her armor regardless. When he finally reached where she was, after a swift glance cast in his direction, it looked as though the stranger had returned to normal by forsaking his armor. The keyblade was gone too.
'Forsaking one's armor where there are possible Heartless. Not sure what to make of that.' Amaya thought. Of course, she wasn't going to say anything about it. There wasn't a need to. He likely knew what risks he was taking by doing that. Amaya, on the other hand, decided to keep her's on for the time being. As she walked, it were as if the tail and wings were a part of her. The tail moved like a real one as did the wings even though they were metallic in appearance.
When the other spoke, Amaya stated nothing about Arin passing the test. The answer was obvious. Thankfully, he did realize the answer to his own wonder. Only then, when he asked for her name, did she realize that she hadn't given him her name. Slowly, as they walked, she turned her helmeted gaze onto him then. Honestly, she didn't deem saying her name was all that important when she challenged people. Then again, no one was permitted to get as far as this stranger had.
"It's Amaya."
With that, she quickened the pace. Whether or not he chose to give a name was up to him. Time was far too pressing for her to attend to formalities or greetings. It was a bit of a trek but they would finally reach inside the castle. Now, to tell her helper what it was that they were looking for.
"Alright, if you notice a room that might have a computer or a library, let me know. What I'm looking for would be contained in one of those." There was a long corridor and it had rooms on either side. "I'll take the right, you can take the left." With that, Amaya started to look into the first room on their right.
(OOC: Feel free to speed things along if you choose.)
