The old man turned to the four of them. Red slept soundly. Most likely for the first time in a very long long time. He gazed to the four of them. It was clear he felt weak. Even as he rose he swayed a bit as if he were drunk or dizzy. The old man turned to a free chair and sat himself down on it.
A small snore echoed through Red's lips, making it clear that he was asleep and not knocked out or anything else of the sort. The old man turned to Jean, the speaker. She had taken the initiative to introduce herself and the rest of them as the boy's friends. "It is good he has friends." The old man said with a small smile.
He knew nothing of the boy he had helped. Not even the boy's name. "I am not as young as I used to be. I used to heal hundreds of people per day. And even then I could have done a hundred more. Now my body is old. And my stamina, not as much as it used to be."
It donned on the old man that he had not introduced himself to everyone else. Then again he did not know the names of the others either. Perhaps they were waiting on further information from him. He had just randomly showed up with the friend they had thought was gone. "My name is Lakari. Your friend is... original." That was the only word he could describe him as.
The old man turned to Red. He looked him up and down. "He is a person who hangs on the limb of darkness and light. I have never seen someone so perfectly in balance with the nature of a heart."

It was obvious that what the old man had done, it had drained him considerably. Seeing him move over to a chair and seat himself there, Jean wondered who he was. Where had he come from? The others were silent as they surveyed the elderly man, letting Jean speak with him. Even Annalese held her tongue as she watched with curiosity.
It wasn't long before the man revealed that he had been some sort of healer in the past, able to heal hundreds at a time. Now, he couldn't withstand much of it anymore. It wasn't a wonder, with time came age and with age came wear and tear but wisdom replaced what was lost for the most part and experience. The elderly man finally introduced himself as Lakari.
Jean listened politely as the man went on to state that Red was original in that his heart had a perfect balance of light and dark within his own heart. Blinking, Jean looked over at Red for a short moment in wonder. Did he really? Well, that didn't change her opinion of him. Red was her friend and there wasn't anything that could change that. When she made friends, she was friends with them until the bitter end.
Bringing her attention back onto Lakari, she smiled. "It's nice to meet you, Lakari. I thank you for bringing Red here and healing him." Still, there was that question about where they had come from and how Red got out of that mess with the Heartless. It didn't at all look like he would've survived it.
"Forgive me if I seem...imposing but...how did you manage to get here? Last I and my friends knew, we had thought Red died on us. He had fallen amidst many Heartless that survival was too grim to seem as a possibility." The others all nodded at this.

Red turned over on his back, a small amount of drool dripping from his lips. It was quite obvious he was sleeping soundly now. If there was a hint of pain on his face, it did not show in his sleep. Lakari merely turned his head slightly to see if Red was alright.
He understood Jean's questions. However in all honesty Lakari didn't know as much as they were probably hoping to learn. "That's a hard thing to explain. I met Red... Well in all honesty don't know where we were. It was a strange place where we had no idea who we were or where we were?"
Lakari paused as he thought. "If I had to guess... I would say we were in a corridor of darkness. Or something of the sort. If what you said is correct, your young friend most likely fell into a corridor of darkness and then ended up... somewhere."
"Getting here was... well it was interesting to say the least. We traveled through a cave that was really not a cave. We ended up coming out of a pool of darkness and found ourselves here."That about covered it all. Lakari paused for any other sort of question that Jean or the others might have.
As he waited though, Red's eyes slowly opened from slumber.

Jean fell silent as she gave Lakari her full attention. According to him, they must've come from a corridor of darkness. So, instead of dying, he had fallen into darkness? Puzzled as to how that were possible, Jean furrowed her brow in thought. 'Just goes to show, darkness has as many secrets as that of light, I guess,' she thought.
No one else seemed to speak. Everyone had gone quiet. "How the hell was that possible?" Rowen spoke for them all. Jean wondered the same exact thing. How the hell did Red fall into the midst of so many Heartless and yet survive without losing his heart? It was strange, to say the least.
"It wakes!" Annalese spoke during the silence that had followed what Rowen said. Having been amusing herself in watching the human sleep soundly, Annalese was the first to let them know Red was waking. "Good to see you among the living, Red."

His head hurt. That was the first thing Red realized as his eyes shifted open. His memory was a bit hazy. Where the hell was he? He was sitting in some sort of room.... The last thing he remembered was dragging the old man through that cave, and then... Well he couldn't remember what happened after that.
Perhaps he had fainted upon coming back? Well it wasn't that important. At least they were out of that place... Whatever that place was. Red slowly came to a sitting position. Even though Annalese had spoken, Red barely registered her words. He was still waking up.
His eyes flew across the room. First to Jean, then to Annalese, then to the four, then finally to the old man. It was good to see he was alive. After all of that Red would have been pissed if he hadn't made it. "Why wouldn't I be living?" Red asked quite confused. Of course he was alive!
He stood and walked over to the group of them. "I'm just glad to see all you guys made it back safely." He said to the lot of them. "Oh! and you too old man." Red had never learned the old man's name.
"Lakari." The old man said with an exhausted smile. "It is good to see you are alive as well."
Red turned to Jean. "Did you guys come up with any ideas on how to get out of here?" Red had no way of knowing that the entire group had thought him dead, and were morning his loss. In Red's mind he was simply gone for a few moments.

Annalese looked from Red to the others when he asked the question about why he wouldn't have been alive. Well, to them all, they had pretty much assumed he had died. That number of Heartless had been very alarming. No one falling in their midst should have survived such a thing. Yet, here Red was with this old man, Lakari. No one spoke for a moment.
"We thought you were...well, we thought you had...died." It was Jean who had answered him finally as she looked at Red. Right now, she almost couldn't believe her eyes. Red was very lucky that he was alive. Not many survived such a thing.
Red didn't seem to hear at first as he greeted Lakari as 'old man'. Then, went on to ask them if they had managed to figure out where they were going next. Now that Jean thought about it, they didn't at all think of where to go. They were going to plan that out the next day once they were done resting. The way off the world was a cave somewhere in the Spine.
"Red...were you not aware that we thought you dead?" Sain inquired. The others nodded at what he said.
"We were too busy um...mourning, we thought you were...well, gone, bud." It was Rowen who spoke. If Red hadn't noticed the injury he had last time, he might now considering Rowen now had a white bandage going over the eye. One good way to spark a question as to why Sain hadn't tried healing it when he actually did, it was just too delicate and complicated to fully do it.
"We still know it's a cave somewhere in the Spine." It was Annalese who said this, actually paying attention to what was going on around her. Red's waking up had been enough for her to find important enough to pay attention for the time being.

Red felt terrible. They really had thought that he was dead! He only vaguely remembered falling into the pool of heartless. He had no memory what so ever of what happened after he hit the gathered heartless. The next memory was appearing on that weird island. Turning to Sain and Rowen, Red only now noticed Rowen's eye.
He didn't think it would be polite to ask about it. He kept his head cast down, trying to refrain from starring. Folding his hands in front of him, Red tried to make the situation less serious. "Well good thing I'm alive then." He said with a small smile.
It was at this time that Annalese spoke up. "Cave... I don't like caves." The last cave he had went to had tortured his mind. Just thinking about it made Red's hand clutch his forehead in remembrance of the pain.
"Where's Alder?" He had forgotten all about the keyblader. It was the Lakari's turn to look sad. Red noticed the hesitation on his face.
"He's dead... That was how we were able to leave." Red thought that Lakari was just kidding at first. Until he saw the serious expression on his face. Suddenly Red stood, and ran out of the room. He needed to see for himself.

The whole group definitely thought Red had died on them. With him back in their midst, it was no wonder they were all looking at him with a mixture between awe and confusion. None of them knew what to think but their dominant emotion was happiness to see that he was alive. It was a wonderful surprise but none knew of the sacrifice just yet since Lakari had only just arrived here with Red.
"Yes, it's a good thing you're among the living again." Rowen nodded, not seeming to notice that Red had seen the obvious bandage over one of his eyes. If he had, he probably wouldn't have really cared if Red had starred except give the kid a questioning look as to what the matter was. Sure, having probably lost sight of one eye bothered him a little but it was something he could live with. He was still alive, after all. Much like all the others in the room. Although, it would take some time to get used to the disability.
Annalese watched as Red seemed to grab hold of his head at the mention of the cave. Why did it seem like he had looked pained then? What had happened? "And I hate garlic but what can you do?" she stated with a shrug.
It didn't take long before Red questioned where Alder was. Jean furrowed an eyebrow as she thought about it too. Last she knew, he was in the barrack next door. She hadn't tried visiting the captain since entering this barrack to rest and mourn. "I don't..." she trailed off when Lakari answered Red's question.
Looking over at the elderly man, her eyes were a bit wide as she studied his expression. Did he seriously mean what she thought he said? Alder, the captain, was dead?!
Before either could react, Red had hurried out of the room. "Red, wait!" Jean called as she hurried after him. Annalese remained where she was, more accepting of death than the rest. The only reason why she wasn't exactly bothered was the fact she hadn't known Alder long enough and, where it was a pity he had died, it didn't make her shed a tear like Red's assumed death had been. "Is that right? ...A hero's death..." she trailed off, going into respectful silence.
As Red took off, the others left the room other than Annalese. On the attempted way out, Rowen ended up hitting the edge of the doorway where his bandaged eye's side was. Cursing a bit, he resumed pursuing the others.

Red didn't bother to look behind him. He simply ran as fast as his feet would carry him. At first he headed over to the entrance. He figured that was where he would probably find what he was looking for. On his way down the path though, he came to a stop. He noticed a group of people walking slowly through the streets.
He recognized tears in each and every eye. Two of the figures seemed to be carrying something heavy. This made Red come to a stop. He could only watch as the group passed him. In between the huddled people, Red noticed the blood stained body of Alder. His body was full of bloody cuts and scrapes.
Perhaps the most appealing about the state of the body was that Alder's chest had been ripped open. Almost as if something had ripped its way right out of his body. Red lost his breath at that sight. Was this their fault? Falling to his knees, Red was filled with brief sorrow.
Once again someone had died helping them. Red had thought he had finally found someone who could give them some answers. Honestly if this was a play, this would be without a doubt a tragedy. It fit the comparison to the amount of deaths and hardships he had faced so far. Was there ever going to be an end of all of this.
Sighing, Red forced himself back to a stand. They really needed to get out of this place. Alder had spoken about a way out of this place past the Center of the Spine. Well perhaps they were supposed to venture back into the Spine then...
Holding out his hand, Red summoned his keyblade. This thing had done nothing but cause him trouble. In a burst of anger he threw it as hard as he could in a random direction. Watching it clink as it hit the ground, Red's eyes scowled. There! He had done it. He had thrown it away.
Turning about, Red stopped in surprise as the keyblade reappeared in his hands. "UGh!" He said with disgust, letting the weapon disappear.

Running outside, Jean was probably the only one able to keep up with Red. The others were slowed down by their fatigue from earlier today. As she hurried after him, it didn't take long before they came upon the gate leading in and out of the fortress. There, a group of people were huddled carrying something in between them. Pausing, Jean looked at what they were carrying. From the tears in the eyes of the bearers, Jean knew it had to be something saddening.
As her bright green eyes fell upon Alder's corpse, Jean realized with a nasty jolt in the heart that the captain was dead. In the middle of his chest, there had been a nasty opening as if something had just torn out of him. Just what had happened to him? Was that what Lakari had meant when he said Alder was responsible for their return to this world?
'Oh...no!' she thought, her shoulders hunching in realization. Alder had given up his life for them, it seemed. Once again, someone else had died because of them. It was with a heavy heart that Jean solemnly watched as the group walked past carrying Alder's body. The man had been a hero. What troubled her though now was...how were they going to find the way out of this world now? Wasn't Alder the only one who knew where to go? 'Will we ever leave this place?' she thought.
A clunk alerted her to Red's presence once again as he seemed to have tried to throw away the weapon in his hands. By the look on his face, it was obvious he was affected by what happened to Alder. As she stood there, only Rowen managed to find them first before the others showed up. Each looked upon the corpse as Alder as the group passed on by.
Noticing the state Red was in, the others returned to the barracks one by one, leaving Jean and Red time alone. Seeing how disgusted Red was with the weapon before he made it disappear, Jean approached him slowly. "...Red?" she inquired in a gentle tone. She knew he was upset. In all honesty, she couldn't blame him. It bothered her too to know what had happened. Alder had sacrificed himself for Red to return. How he knew to do such a thing, Jean didn't know.
"Are you going to be okay?" she asked him.

Red's head perked up. He had not noticed Jean beside him. "I'll be fine." He snapped. Red was a bit angry at the moment. In fact if he happened to spot a kitten he might kick it just because. That was the kind of mood he was in. "The faster we get out of here the better."
The sound of footsteps turned Red's attention from anything that Jean might have said. The footsteps belonged to Jade, the silent bowman who had helped them in battle. Red remembered her. "You wish to leave this place." It was not a question. Still... Red felt obliged to answer. He nodded.
Jade nodded in return. It seemed she had figured as much. "Then I will lead you in my commanders place. He would have wanted it. I do not know where this place is, but I know just about as much as he did. We shall leave in the morning. Use this time to recuperate."
Without waiting for an answer, Jade turned on her heel and walked back. There would no doubt be a funeral pyre tonight.
Red sighed. He shouldn't have snapped at Jean. This situation just sucked. "Let's go back." He said.
------------------
Lakari had watched all of them go. He had not followed the group outside, and instead had stayed behind with Annalese. He watched all of them go without a single word. Only when the last had left had he turned on Annalese. He had known what she was the moment he had sat down in the chair.
It had been a long time since he had seen one of her kind. With the brief absence, Lakari turned on the vampire. "I could help you ya know. I'm most likely the strongest healer in existence at the moment. I could turn you human, or even dim your hunger..."

It wasn't unexpected for Red to respond the way he had. As if just realizing she had been there, he had popped his head up before snapping at her. Thankfully, none of the others had been around to hear it or the situation might've gotten worse knowing how childish some of them could be. Jean went quiet as Red fumed before adding that the sooner they got out of here, the better. Honestly, she couldn't agree with him more but...how were they going to? She didn't think anyone else would know where to go in that treacherous mountain range.
As she stood there, Jade arrived on the scene. If she hadn't spoken, Jean would've probably not have noticed her. Glancing over at her, listening to what she had to say, she peered over at Red who had nodded. Yes, they wanted to get off this world as soon as they could.
According to Jade, it would be she who would lead them tomorrow morning. Alder would have wanted her to, according to her. Jean made a mental note to pay her respects to the deceased captain. He had helped them a lot. It made her feel horrible to know what he had to do to bring back Lakari and Red.
When Jade had left them, telling them to take this time to recover, she looked back at Red after he finally spoke. Nodding her head, Jean turned toward the barracks from whence they came. "Yeah...this way, then." She didn't hold it against him for his snappy attitude earlier. She could understand that he wasn't happy with what happened, nobody was. It was another unfriendly blow, reminding them of their misfortune.
With that, Jean began to lead Red slowly back to the barracks where the others would be found.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
While the others had been gone, moments before Ryo and the others returned, Annalese had been left alone with the elderly human. She hadn't dared to go outside herself just because she was certain the dead corpse of Alder would probably pique her hunger if he were brought into the fortress. Her hunger had reached a level where it was too tormenting to be around those who had blood running through their veins.
The only reason why she wasn't so tempted by Lakari was because he was elderly. He wasn't close to the age that she preferred to drink from. As she sat there in silence, she didn't think the human would know what she was.
Her head snapped to where he was when he suddenly spoke to her about how he could help her. How had he known? She blinked as he explained that he could either turn her human or dim her hunger. The offer was so sudden, Annalese looked at him in wonder for a moment. Life as a human? She didn't think that were possible.
All her life, she had been shunned or attacked for what she was. People that knew what she was would try to kill her out right. Still, there was one thing about being what she was, her inhuman strength and powers. If she were changed, it wouldn't be easy for her to adjust to human life. She was used to things that humans couldn't normally do. It would be cumbersome for others to try and teach her how to be human. Also, what about this elder's life energy? He might be the strongest healer but just how much could he handle?
"Would that not over expend your energy?" she inquired, her rich purple eyes looking inquisitively at him.
"I may also add that, where you might have mistaken me for one who was...turned, I'm actually a pure blood. Do you really think you could change even a pure blood into a human?"

Lakari simply shook his head. Of course it would expand his energy. But it would not kill him. "I wouldn't be able to do it now. But if I were to save up my energy for a couple of days, it might be possible." Lakari wouldn't be able to accomplish such a task now. The process of changing someone's nature from vampire to human was not an easy task.
The fact that Annalese was a pure vampire did change things slightly. "Well as much as I know such a thing can be accomplished. I have heard stories of such a thing during my studies. But I have never done it before. Still.... I could still dim the hunger. I will need a few hours to let some of my strength come back, but I can."
Before Lakari could say any more on the matter the doors to the room opened. The four mercenaries came in one by one. He let the matter set for the moment. It really didn't matter that Annalese was a pure blood. The only reason he paused was because of the fact that he had never done it before. But Lakari had enough belief in himself that he could do it.
It wasn't much longer until Red and Jean both arrived. Red came in the first. There was an obvious hint of sorrow in the edge of his eyes. It was obviously from the death of Adler. "Jade is going to take us tomorrow." Red informed them all. Of course Lakari had no idea who Jade was. Then again did the other four know of her?
Just in case Red spoke up again. "She's the one who helped us earlier. The girl with the bow. You'll meet her tomorrow." The last was directed to Lakari. Red was given a nod of thanks in appreciation.
Despite just having rested, Red still felt exhausted. Perhaps it was because of seeing Alder... Or maybe it was from the journey back to this world earlier. Regardless Red needed the sleep. As soon as he took a seat on a cot, and laid down, his eyes closed in slumber.

Annalese tilted her head as she listened to the best of her abilities. It was difficult for her to sit and listen for more than a few minutes. However, he managed to keep her interested even though she struggled a bit to keep herself focused on him. What she could tell, he believed that he could still change her to a human if he could. The thought of no longer being shunned because of what she was, sounded rather appealing. Could it work? Could it really?
Then again, would it be wise to change her into a human now with the things they would all most likely have to go through? Annalese wasn't exactly smart and being as bold as she was, it might be harder for her to adjust to things that humans couldn't do. Like for example, she would have to adjust to the fact that she would be mortal and could die being more fragile than she once was.
"Well, if you could...could you when you've the energy? Dimming the hunger, I mean. I won't make you do harm unto yourself to try and change me." She nodded when the elder agreed to dim her hunger for the time being. She did her best to not get her hopes up in being possibly turned human. That and she was sure her living relatives wouldn't be pleased with her doing such a thing. Probably going as far as turning her if they found out.
When the four armored males returned, Lakari and Annalese went silent. None of them knew what she was but had a feeling she wasn't anything human. There was a long silence until Red and Jean arrived.
Jean nodded at what Red said to confirm it. When she got a blank stare from the others, she rolled her eyes. Red seemed to get the gist of their blank stares and told them it had been the woman who helped them earlier. "Oh, that one!" exclaimed Sain in realization.
It wasn't long before Red went and settled himself into a cot and fell asleep. Jean stayed up a bit longer, silently talking with the others before deciding to go to bed too. It wasn't long before morning crept up on them.

Lakari simply nodded. He weighed what would be best. If he used his abilities now, he would need to rest for a while. But if he used his abilities tomorrow... Well it wouldn't leave them in that great of a position. Especially since they were venturing into the place they called "The Spine." Most likely his abilities would be needed again.
Looking at things that way, the answer was pretty clear. Lakari stood and walked over to her. "I'll do it now. It won't be any trouble." Without wait, Lakari placed his hands on her. A soft glow, similar to the one that had appeared on Red, traveled from his hands towards her. To her it would most likely feel a warm sensation traveling down the inside of her body.
It traveled down to her heart and there it disappeared, seemingly travelling through the clothes she wore into her skin. What Lakari was doing, was dimming the sensation for hunger. There was repercussions for such a thing. For one, while she would feel the hunger as strong, it would still be there.
In addition, the hunger would continue to worsen. It was dangerous in this way. For a while Annalese would not be able to feel how hungry she really was, thus not giving her body what it truly needed. Of course the feeling would not last too too long. Perhaps a day or two at the most. Then it would return with force.
"I recommend you feed soon." That was all he said after he finished. Glancing at the sleeping Red, Lakari figured the boy had the right views. Sleeping would be good for all of them. As Lakari turned he walked over to a free cot and plopped himself down. It wasn't long before he was asleep as well.
Red on the other hand drifted into a deep slumber. So deep was the sleep that before he knew it, it was morning.

(OOC: I really dunno what to write here ^_^;;; Might be small.) Annalese flinched a little at the sudden contact. No sooner had this happened, a strange light emanated from Lakari's hands. Still, she didn't recoil or move away from him, allowing him to perform whatever it was that he was trying to do. Most likely dimming her hunger since he hadn't energy to go and change her being just yet. As he did so, a strange warm feeling seeped into her.
When Lakari was finished, the hunger she felt wasn't as strong anymore. In fact, it felt like she could go on a week more without feeding. "Huh, I hardly feel hungry!" she stated.
She looked up at Lakari when he stated that she should feed soon. Annalese nodded her head in understanding. Maybe there were certain issues with dimming her hunger like he did? Despite that, she was relieved of her not losing control in the middle of the night and unintentionally feeding on anyone that she didn't mean to feed on. Unlike the others, she didn't have to sleep at night.
One by one, everyone drifted off into sleep in their own individual cots, save for Annalese whom merely shut her eyes anyway to let her imagination take over.
Before long, it was morning. Annalese, if she had been sleeping, would've been considered to be the first one up. Waking with a start, after an unwelcome dream about her father, Jean blinked at the area around her. Some of the guys were just waking up or still asleep. Getting over her nightmare that had unnerved her a bit, Jean got up and stretched.
"Here we go again, day two of that awful place!" she stated to no one in particular.

((OOC: Oh its fine. Sorry I was just trying to get things moving to the next day lol.)) Red awoke to the sound of a soft knock on the door. It was the arrival of Jade. He had not heard Jean's comment, but he would have fully agreed with her. He was as about ready to go back to the Spine as much as he was ready to jump into a burning building.
Rubbing the sleep from his eyes he gazed around the room. He was the last to wake up. It seemed everyone was wearing to go as Jade walked into the room. She was dressed in slight armor with a bow and an arrow quiver strapped to her back.
Upon arriving she glanced at everyone. Said five words, "We leave in twenty minutes.", then left. It wasn't even a conversation. Red merely had time to blink before she was out the door. He decided that if he wanted to take some sort of shower, now would be the time to do so. He hadn't been able to bathe properly in quite sometime.
There was a small room with a pool of water in the back. He quickly stripped and sank into the water. As he shut his eyes and let the warm water ease his body, scenes flashed through his head. First was of the fight with Silver and Jean. Next the betrayal of Ogre. And then finally the dead Captain and Alder.
He swore to himself that he would make things right. He would say a silent prayer and visit each of their graves when this was finally over. He waited for about fifteen minutes before finally raising from the waters. Spotting a nearby towel, he dried himself off. Dressing, he returned back to the room to find everyone ready.
"Are we all ready?" He asked lightly.

Annalese, while the humans were getting ready, just casually watched the proceedings. Of course, those that were in the immediate room who weren't changing or anything creepy like that. As usual, she seemed content and pretty much unaffected by what was going on around her. Compared to them, with just the clothing on her back and her whip strapped to her side, she was ready. She only needed those things and it made travel for her much easier. Annalese never had to resort to using munny since she was a vampire.
While she contentedly sat on her cot, waiting for the others, Jean merely stepped out of the room to the outside briefly to get some fresh air.
Outside, the day was pretty bright. Surprising, considering the impending trouble they were all about to go through. Jade had arranged for them to all travel through the Spine again today this very morning. Exactly when though, she wasn't sure. From what she gathered, knowing what little she did of Jade, the woman was pretty much to the point in the things she did and said. Everything was pretty quick with her. It probably wouldn't be too long before she would show up and tell them when to go or if they would go right then and there.
Stepping back inside, her mind returned to her father's situation back on Gaia. What was Silver doing with his body right now? Would she be able to save him? The thought of what happened just made her mood gloomy. 'I'll find some means...I think.' She wasn't sure about herself though. Jean could fight but that thing that Silver was, was just...so fast and not to mention so inhuman. Just what was he? An actual demon?
"Something on your mind, Jean?" Ryu questioned her. He had been in the middle of checking the condition of his katanas when he asked her this. Holding each sword up, he closed an eye as he held up each katana with the sharp edge facing toward the ceiling and the sword pointing away from him at the wall, inspecting them.
"It's nothing, Ryu. Just thinking is all." In all honesty, it was a lie but not out of ill will. She just didn't want to bring the topic up about her father. Jean hadn't told any of them yet what had been bothering her. She knew that even if she did say it, they'd still help Red out along with her. It's just she didn't want to add on to their plate right now. They had a lot going on as it already was. One of them being the fact that Rowen probably lost sight in one eye.
Speaking of Rowen, he appeared to be fine. If anything, he had some problems with space where his currently blind and bandaged eye was. Almost on occasion since waking, he had a bad habit of accidentally bumping into someone on the side where he couldn't see or running into the edge of something on that side. Would he be able to even adjust good enough to survive the Spine? The thought worried her. Not only that, she felt bad that he had lost sight in that eye for now. Surely, Sain would be able to restore it some day?
It wasn't long before Jade arrived on the scene announcing they had twenty minutes to get ready. Before anyone could respond, she was gone. "Uh...thank...you?" Rowen said now that she had gone. "Quick and to the point, that one!" he stated.
"Well, you heard her, we've twenty minutes to get ready...so, make the most of what time we have and prepare yourselves." With that said, Jean began inspecting everything she had to ensure she was ready to go. It didn't take long before everyone got ready and Red had come out of the bathroom asking if everyone was prepared.
"Ready to go."

With everyone ready to go, Red took the lead. With his hands slightly at his side, he walked along the path. It was a nice day, compared too the drastic conditions of the Spine. Red wasn't looking too forward too traveling through the small pathways of the Spine again. They found Jade waiting at the entrance.
She was in the same clothing as before. "We will be taking the same pathway as before. Things will change when we get to that field. Its a nest for heartless. I'm going to take a slightly different route when we get closer to the open field. It will take us to the edge of that gap. That way we can walk along the side of the mountains."
Jade paused as she thought for a moment. Jean was right in thinking about Jade's personality. She was right to the point. "Once we get to the Center of the Spine, things will be difficult. Our maps aren't as detailed. There is only one path though on the other side. We follow it until we run into something that might give us some sort of hint as to where to go."
To Red it seemed like they were staking alot on chance. Was there even a way out of this world? He had to believe that there was. Otherwise there would be no hope in getting out of here. "Let us go then." Jade said. As she took the lead, Red followed. As he glanced back as they were about to enter the Spine, Red hoped that if they couldn't find this place, they at least made it back here alive.
"Here we go." He said to Jean, walking along side her.

Once everyone was all set, they headed out of the barrack one by one. There was a silence among them all, as if they knew already what to expect. What they were about to do, was probably make history in this world in managing to find a way out. That is, if they were to actually escape this strange world caught in between everything else. It made Jean wonder. Did this world ever get affected by time? Or did people just stay the age they were?
It was, oddly enough, a fine day. Looking up at the baby blue skies, Jean knew that their journey would be far from fine. They were about to attempt what others would call suicide since they were going right into the Spine. It was in the Spine that it was rumored to not only have Silver's fellow brethren there but a large number of dangerous Heartless. Already, the group had narrowly escaped such a large mass of the Heartless. Would they be able to do it again?
Reaching the gates, they found Jade waiting for them. Judging by what she was saying, they would be going on guess work. That was fine to Jean. Most of the things she had done in life, required for her to rely on luck. 'I just hope if we should fail, we make it back alive!' she thought, glancing at Red and Annalese before looking at her four armored friends and Lakari.
As Jade lead them out of the fortress, Jean grew serious and wary. Here was where the story got grim or serious.
Walking alongside her, she noticed Red immediately. Looking over at him when he spoke, she nodded in agreement. "Yeah, here we go again. Let's just hope we all make it through...and back, should we fail."
As they went, Jean couldn't help but wonder why Jade was the only one with them. None of the others from the fortress had come along. Wasn't she going to go back once she had seen them off? Or was she planning on coming along? Or...did she think they weren't going to find it? Whatever the case, Jade remained a mystery to her.
