Princess Ariel had just gone through singing practice once again. Her voice box wasn't, surprisingly, throbbing. In fact, she was used to singing so strongly. Her voice, here in Atlantica, went unmatched. Today, Ariel felt like going up to the surface of the sea. Something her father would clearly forbid if he knew what she was intending to do.
She wanted to see if she could spot that human again. Even though the human didn't know of her, she did feel very fond of him. Swimming upwards, Ariel's head soon emerged from under the watter and she looked outwards. Before her very eyes lay a beach with many rocks on the shore and even close to shore. One particular rock, she tended to visit day in and day out.
Ariel had pulled herself up it and sat there for a time. Scanning the beach for any movement. It would be quite mind boggling if someone were to spot her here. A mermaid wasn't something you saw everyday unless one ended up arriving here underwater. Her green tail flopped whenever she moved it or shifted the way she was sitting. "Hm...maybe Prince Eric's not here today..." she said to herself but audible enough for anyone else to have heard if they were anywhere nearby. If anyone were to appear right now, it'd give her quite a scare.
A splash, since there were no crashing waves due to low tide, brought Ariel back towards the far right. Her heart hammering from the sudden noise.

Ariel really didn't know what she had gotten into. One second, she had been sitting there quite fine as always and the next two humans had appeared out of the blue. From the very sea, it seemed. It didn't look like they knew she was here so Ariel shrunk close to the rock. Trying to stay hidden. Watching this little display. What was going on? To her, it seemed they were arguing over something. It sounded quite serious because of how they were yelling at one another.
It was after a few seconds of shouting when one of them, the younger one, had attacked the older human. Ariel's eyes widened as she tried her best to stay put. Something started firing about and even hit the rock she had been trying to stay hidden on. Ariel, in her surprise, had fallen backwards. Making another loud splash in the process with a slight yelp. A yelp that she hadn't intended to let out but really hadn't a choice because of how surprised she was.
Ariel, frightened, had fallen into plain sight! Not knowing if she had been sighted or not, Ariel had quickly pushed herself upwards and moved round to the side of the rock. Peering out uncertainly. Just what was that? That thing that hit the rock and scared her nearly half to death? From her vantage point, it looked like they were going to fight until at least one of them was dead. Why did she have to choose to come to the surface today of all days?
(I G2G! See you tomorrow!)

Ariel, once again covered her ears as she shrunk against the rock to hide away from that loud noise that had been made. Then there was silence. Scared but curious to see if it had ended, she slowly peered out from the side of the rock again. The two had injured each other pretty good. One had five bullet holes in the shoulder and the other looked like he had been stabbed good in the shoulder by the other's sword.
She looked out with blue eyes as she watched the younger one tell the older one that he won this round before disappearing. Leaving the elder one behind whom looked like he might need help. Ariel was once again visible as she leaned away from the rock to have looked out. Still keeping quiet, Ariel looked carefully around for any signs of the younger human. He really had completely gone.
Her gaze shifted back to the older human being. She could see the injury and it made her wince. She didn't like seeing others hurt. Even human beings despite her father's warnings about them. 'Should I try and help?' she thought as she glanced towards where she had left her bag. A much smaller one that was hardly noticeable that was sitting upon the rock where she had dropped it. Looking from that to the human, Ariel decided whether or not she'd help this human out.
Now that he was alone, he didn't seem evil. However, his sword did make her careful. Ariel didn't want to end up being sliced and diced. She silently went towards the rock and climbed up it just enough to be able to grab hold of her little bag. Slowly climbing down it after retrieving what she wanted to get. Creeping out from the safety of the rock, Ariel had pulled out what she had kept in her bag. It was a vial of something. The liquid within it, had healing elements that would most likely heal those wounds.
Ariel looked over at the human, whom seemed a bit younger than her own father but only by a bit. Not speaking as she looked meaningful at him then at the injury. Holding the vial in her hands as she waited for the other to see her. She would tell him she had something to help heal him if he didn't try to kill her. Ariel could move fast but only when underwater and in the water. Not on this shore where the waters were quite shallow.

Ariel watched as the sword suddenly got smaller and took on the appearance of something else. She didn't know what a toothpick was due to the fact she didn't know about those that dwelled on land except for a few things but called them by a different name. It was then that the human looked over at her. She waited quietly, still uncertain if he'd attack or not. Then again, his sword was gone so that did calm her down a good deal.
It was then that he had bowed to her, still holding his hurt shoulder, before speaking to her. She calmed down hearing those words. It assured her that the other wouldn't harm her. Being as sociable as she was, Ariel replied "I could see that!" She inclined her head respectfully upon meeting others before saying "I see that you....need help with that injury....if you want, you can use this!" She said that somewhat shyly because she tended to have a bit of a hard time when speaking to humans.
Ariel, then, presented the vial she had. "It's a curative potion..." Smiling, she said "I'm Ariel by the way!" She hadn't mentioned that she was a princess of Atlantica.

Ariel blinked upon hearing that this human had heard much about her because of her father. King Triton might've mentioned a few things like her disobedience. That's what he sometimes often talked about trying to be his usual overprotective self. She smiled a tad weakly before saying "Oh, really?!" She watched as the man sprinkled a few drops onto the injury.
The wound sealed up almost immediately. She smiled after nodding her head. "Oh yes, it should be....I risked a lot swiping the recipe from Ursula!" she replied. Having looked around to make sure the Sea witch wasn't anywhere close by to have heard this. If Ursula found out, there would be even more mayhem between herself and the sea witch. She nodded before saying "You're welcome."
It was then that he mentioned his name was Shaolong Li. It was an interesting name. She never heard anyone by that name before. "Nice to meet you, Shaolong Li!" she said with a friendly smile. Ariel wanted to bombard this human about what it was like to have legs but she decided against it. It'd be rude of her. Not to mention that her continuous questions could get the other annoyed with her.
Taking a few minutes to think of a proper way to question him about that confrontation earlier, she found no other way of asking. "Um...not to be nosy or anything but....what was that all about? What was that strange thing that somehow hit the rock?" She was referring to the gun that had almost shot her that had caused her to fall into view.

Ariel looked at Shaolong as he mentioned that he'd rather not talk about it. "Okay then!" she replied. He didn't have to say anything about it if he didn't want to. Ariel wouldn't press on that matter. She listened intently as he told her what had caused her to have fallen over and nearly hurt her. A gun. Hm...she never heard of a gun before. Mostly whatever she saw around here were swords.
Then again, the sunken ships she salvaged were so old that they were beyond even Prince Eric's time. One of the most powerful weapons in the world? Ariel doubted that. Her father's trident surpassed it by far but then again, it was faster. She really wouldn't know. "Oh! A gun...." she said slowly before nodding. It was a sure thing she wouldn't forget what that weapon looked like. If she ever encountered a gun again, she'd get away as fast as she could.
Ariel listened to what Shaolong said about his speed being the only thing that saves him from the gun. Ariel could understand what he meant by that. Sometimes, when it came to Great Whites chasing after her underwater it really was just her speed that saved her most of the time. "Hm....too bad you don't have shield magic like Aero....I can't really caste shield magic but I do have vials of them which, once broken or opened, emit a shield around the holder....I make them from a recipe like that curative liquid.

Ariel blinked at the things that randomly appeared. What were they?! They didn't at all look like Heartless to her. She brought her gaze back towards Shaolong as he spoke. Her face written with a hint of fear and surprise. He was telling her to warn her father and that he, himself, would delay them.
She didn't like the sound of that plan. "What about you?!" she managed to say but he had jumped into the water already and begun to fight the things. What those creatures were, Ariel hadn't a clue. Biting her lip, Ariel gave one last glimpse of where Shaolong had gone before diving into the water herself.
Thrashing her tail up and down, she made herself dart through the waters like a torpedo almost. Ariel knew she couldn't hesitate anymore or the other might end up dead. That made the tension all the worse. Swimming as fast as her tail would allow her, Ariel darted through schools of fish. Doing her best to get to Atlantica as fast as she could. It will still take her a time to get there though. Ariel prayed that the human could hold up until she came back with help.

Ariel was putting in so much haste into her tail that it was causing her to breathe more heavily. 'No, don't get tuckered out now!' she thought as she pushed herself to keep going. Ariel had to find King Triton and if not him, some form of help. The guards would react if she told them.
After all, it seemed like this was going to be a war of sorts. She hadn't time to think as she kept moving as fast as she could. Finally, what seemed like hours when really several minutes, the tip of Atlantica's palace emerged from up ahead. Ariel felt a bit relieved but she hadn't slowed her pace. She had to be fast or it was curtains for Shaolong.
She no sooner reached the very edge of the palace when the guards noticed what appeared to be stress on the youngest princess of Atlantica. Ariel sped past them looking for King Triton. "DADDY!" she called out. "DADDY!" So far there was no response but if she kept yelling at this rate she'd eventually snag his attention if he were anywhere close by. She was entering the throne room where her father was always located. "DADDY! We need help!" she yelled out. Frantically looking around, Ariel wondered where her father could be.
If she couldn't find him then she'd have to tell the guards and soldiers. "DADDY! WHERE ARE YOU?!" she shouted some more.

Ariel couldn't find the king. This was not a good omen! There really wasn't anyway for her to get him to help at this point. She'd have to double back and get the soldiers rallied. Being a princess, she too could lead them towards where those things were and put a possible stop to it.
She had to be swift about it. Ariel could just feel a nonexistent clock ticking. Her face written with tension, she swam over out of the throne room towards the nearest set of guards. ""I can't find my father! Please! I need your help! There's a huge army of creatures coming here!" she said to them. The guards, since it was their duty to protect and fight, nodded. "Yes, princess Ariel!" they replied. With that, one unstrapped a shell from his waist and blew into one end. The shell clearly serving as a horn.
It was calling the soldiers and guards to arms. Ariel waited with every second. Afraid they may not make it in time. Finally, the mermen all showed up carrying spears of sorts. None of them had anything like that of a trident. Only King Triton wielded that weapon and he alone. "Lead the way, Princess Ariel!" the captain spoke and she nodded. Swimming speedily, Ariel led the way. It was going to take a few minutes to journey back but at least help was now on the way.

The numerous mermen soldiers followed Ariel out into the dark depths of the sea. Princess Ariel couldn't help but feel afraid. She was hoping she wasn't going to end up too late. Moving swiftly, she led them through trenches and past sunken ships before coming to the point where the human and those monsters would be. The soldiers of Atlantica were adorned with strange sea shell helmets upon their heads, gold in color. Their upper bodies were also covered with other shells but only on the shoulders and were gray in color. Their only weapons were of spears or a sort of range weapon beyond description.
Ariel breathed in as she caught sight of what was happening just barely above herself and the soldiers. The strange creatures that had come through a portal were currently coming down into the sea. Obviously, these things must've been planning to attack Atlantica. Reacting accordingly, Ariel waved at the mermen to signal them for their attack. Given their orders, the mermen soldiers darted swiftly upwards. Clearly masters of the sea by how effectively their attack patterns were. However, these weren't exactly the Heartless.
None of the beasts were killed but they were being stalled maybe even held back. Depending on the situation. Two mermen came to either side of Shaolong as they briefly glanced over at him and then towards the enemy. Blocking any sharp objects with their spears and just barely dodging shots fired at them. Ariel came up soon after. She bit her lip seeing how many there were. Also, she saw that sharks were nearby as well. Drawn to blood. Wait, blood?! She brought her eyes towards where the red blood trail underwater was leading and found it coming from Shaolong again.
Hurrying over, Ariel called out "Shaolong! Here!" she attempted to toss him another Cure vial. There was a chance an enemy could block it so if the other planned to nab it, now was the time.
