[ opened to Cloud, Riku, Kairi, Seifer, & Mickey only ] Hollow Bastion. He liked Hollow Bastion. In truth he had liked it the very moment his sapphire eyes had the honor to grace the place. Of course, at that time nearly two years ago, it wasn't nearly as lovely. Actually the place was tainted with much darkness and was nothing more than a memory of a once grand world. Now, still not quite as grand as it once was, it had only a bit of darkness. By now it was nearly restored. And Sora was happy to see that. He had always liked this world, more so than most, and to see it be fixed so made his own heart sing happily. Perhaps he felt so strongly about Hollow Bastion (or was it Radiant Garden now?) due to his very first moment stepping upon it's soil. It was strange, even to the Keyblade Master, but this world had felt terribly familiar. As though it was a lost bit of his memory and his mind simply could not conjure it back up. At that time he had Kairi's heart as well as his... and he was so sure it was Kairi's heart in which was at home here. Did that mean...? Sora never thought much of Kairi's origins. When he was little he had been mystified by Kairi's strange and certainly sudden appearance on his island. Often when he was younger he thought of fabulous possibilities as to where Kairi came from and how she got from there. One of his favorite theories had been that she was a long lost princess cast away from her world because it had been in danger. And how right had that silly theory been after all? He had been so little when he thought of it, and it had been for his sole amusement only, that he hadn't actually believed it. But now... Well, it was possible. But why should he be thinking about things like this anyway? He had more important stuff to do than to ponder strange events that would probably never be explained. If Kairi didn't care as to where she came from Sora shouldn't either. ...Where was Kairi anyway? And, now that it dawned on Sora, Riku? Probably on the island, he decided after a moment. Smiling to himself at the thought of his friends, Sora pressed on to more important matters. Which were, simply, being the Keyblade Master. With his friends safe there was little to worry about now, his dedication purely for keeping the worlds safe. There was no need to search for his friends after he had finally found them. Just thinking of Riku and Kairi safely on the island cheered Sora greatly. And how glad he was that Riku was finally free of darkness and Kairi no longer waiting. So, with his lost friends found the Keyblade's sole duties lie in keeping the Heartless and Nobodies alike at bay. And that was why Sora had traveled to Hollow bastion. He had already combed most of the world, clearing the Heartless that popped up every now and then. Now he was in the Marketplace, his azure eyes going over the area carefully. Everything was peaceful, people happily filling the cobblestone streets with pleased smiles on their faces. If anything this was what being a Keyblade Master was all about... making others happy. And happy the people scurrying about the crowded Marketplace were. Because of their happiness it made Sora just as gleeful as his child-like face was fixed with a small smile. Placing his hands behind his spiky headed hair, he leaned on his heels, still smiling. Was it just two years ago that this place was dismal and lacking a population because of the darkness that had possessed it? Time seemed to fly these days... and Sora was almost sad to see it go. Just two years ago he was nothing more than a naive little kid, playing the part of a hero with an undeniable passion... and now? Well, things hadn't changed that much he supposed.[/size]

Cloud walked into the marketplace and looked around at the people. He skimmed the crowds of people that were window shopping at the various vendors that had set up around the marketplace. He sighed a bit and thought to himself, "This place has grown so lively in the past 2 years. All thanks to the Restoration Committee really."
Cloud stretched his right arm up to gently touch the handle of the Tsurugi hanging against his back. He closed his blueish green eyes as he thought about the various members of the committee. Leon the silent type that had his own ways of dealing with his own matters. He works hard on rebuilding his homeworld with the others to the limit of his abilities. Somehow his hardwork reminded Cloud of himself and the city of Edge.
Then there was Yuffie and Cid. Back on Gaia Yuffie was a young lady that was carefree and sometimes deceiving. He smirked a bit as he thought about how she had matured since she Gaia was plagued with darkness. Then there was Cid. The captain of the Highwind, and one of the key members in the committee. Cid was an older person from his group back when the world was in peril. Cid was like the veteran that gave him the support Cloud had needed back then to lead the journey to save the world.
He was always glad to have his friends behind him. But there were two of them that seemed to confuse him the most. Tifa, and Aerith...the two people in his current life where he didn't know what to do. He spent most of his first journey through this dimension looking for Aerith, but when he found her he still went off to find his light. Then Tifa appeared, Cloud shook his mind from the thought and sighed.
He opened his eyes to look around one more time when his eyes suddenly landed on a familiar spiky haired brunette boy. He started trudging his way over to the boy and then suddenly had asked, "So what brings the keyblade master here? How are you Sora?"

Sora was still lost in thought, such thoughts consisting of Kairi, others focused on how much trouble he would be in when Riku found him, and others lost in the random space of his mind. Often Sora found his large blue eyes straying to the crowd, hoping to catch a glimpse of Aerith, or maybe chat with Leon. Yet, as his hope began to dwindle, he saw a fray of spiky blond hair. It wasn't Leon or Aerith, but rather Cloud. Sora grinned happily, overly excited to see one of his friends. If Sora was unfortunate enough to have Riku find him it would be well worth the punishment he would receive. How often, Sora reasoned, did he get to see Cloud anyway?
"Cloud!" Sora cried, resisting the urge to fling his arms around his enigmatic friend. Sora paused only a second before responding to Cloud's question, "Just seeing if everything is all right, of course." And he flashed Cloud one of his infamous grins.
Sora was certainly content with simply conversing with Cloud. He missed his friends dearly, more so than he let Kairi or Riku ever know. It was strange, he knew, that he should cling to any moment he could to race from Destiny Islands and go to another world. He had searched for two years eagerly hunting for his friends just so he could return to the islands. And yet, it was rather hard to return to a life of utter simplicity after one's life had been everything but. How could Sora stay and do homework of all things when a great many of his friends might be in trouble? You never know with the Heartless, Sora would quietly insist, they could come back at any time. And there he would go, making sure Kairi and Riku were far from the area, sneaking on a Gummi Ship and flying away.
And how happy he would be when he had the chance to catch a word or two with his countless friends. He had forgotten how mundane life on Destiny Islands was. For once he stepped upon another world he would be pressed with exciting matters he felt he should tend to. On Destiny Islands he was merely scolded for being home late and nagged to do homework. He loved Destiny Islands, but surely he deserved a break every now and then... right?
Of course, Sora thought, you never know when a world will be in trouble anyway.
As he was about to ask Cloud about his adventures so far, another 'friend' made an appearance. Sora had been intent in his conversation with Cloud, when out of nowhere, Seifer appeared. Sora's happy expression melted into one of surprise. His eyes widened as he looked at Seifer and his puzzlement was evident. Though he hadn't changed much there was something different about him.
Maybe because he wasn't in Twilight Town?
It was then Seifer turned to Cloud, commenting on how Leon had spoke so highly of him but Seifer saw little of what he had been talking about. In this light passing of insults Sora noted that Seifer mentioned Leon. Seifer... knows... Leon? It dawned on Sora then that he had missed far too much. He would have to take these little expeditions much more often. Surely Riku would understand that he had to keep up with his other friends as well. So far, Riku hadn't bought that excuse the several times he had used it.
Suddenly Sora noted that Seifer was challenging him. So engrossed in thoughts as he had been, Sora merely blinked in response. The trophy? Slowly his memories trailed back to Twilight Town, when he had fought Seifer and happily won, and the trophy he had been given in return. That trophy, in which Goofy had given to him some time before, was placed in his room now. It had it's place of honor there, sitting on his dresser, gleaming merrily in the sun. It had provoked many questions from his mother, but Sora was pleased all the same to see it every morning when he woke. It reminded him of Twilight Town a great deal... and for some reason unknown to him he truly missed the place.
Taking his hands from behind his head the spiky brunette shrugged, his happy eyes fixed on Seifer.
"I don't have it," Sora made an effort to keep his expression innocent. "But, ya know, you could fight Cloud... then you could see what Leon was talking about."
Sora would have liked to see Seifer go against the ex-SOLDIER. Cloud was not to be trifled with lightly. As Sora knew, Cloud was indeed a strong warrior. He got quite a few bruises courtesy of Cloud's bulky sword. While Sora wasn't exceptionally eager to let Seifer fight Cloud, and no doubt suffer a painful loss, there was no reason for Seifer to insult Cloud like so. Maybe if Cloud whacked Seifer around a few times, it'd knock some sense into Seifer's head.
As Sora watched the two curiously, still a small smile on his face, he spotted a sheet of silver hair from afar. Suddenly his smile faded completely. Wasn't that... Riku? He couldn't be sure for the figure vanished just as soon as Sora's eyes graced it. Yet, a small sliver of fear latched onto his heart. As a result his heart was kicked into fourth gear, beating erratically at the prospect of being caught by Riku yet again. His eyes swept over the area... where was he? There was no doubt in his mind by now that Riku was among the crowd. I've gotta hi-
It was too late. He had a brilliant plan of leaping behind Cloud for protection, but Riku already had him. He was doomed now. No escape.
Riku had one hand clasped on the collar of his shirt and was already scolding him. It took a few moments for the fear to wear away. Sora sought out Seifer and Cloud, a plea written on his face. Those sapphire eyes were pleading for help of course. He didn't want to go home yet! Sora craned his neck to better see Riku. A small nervous smile was spreading on his pale lips.
"H-Hi Riku," Sora greeted lightly, even waving a half-gloved hand. "I didn't know... you were coming too." And then he let a nervous chuckle escape.
He. Was. Doomed.

Sora looked at Seifer, knowing very well that he was hard to track down. Of course, this didn't seem to apply to Riku who found Sora over and over again and currently had a hold on his shirt. As Riku clearly stated, he was certainly doomed. Unless Seifer felt the need to save him-preferably soon-there would be no redeeming himself. Sora squirmed under Riku's hold, wishing he could escape his friend. It was moments like these that Sora felt, more than ever, that Riku was his brother rather than his best friend.
Riku made is point clear when threatening him. Yes, as Sora knew from last time, trying to escape had not helped his case at all. He frowned, looking utterly defeated. However, while it seemed doom was upon him, he gave a final stab at freedom.
"Aw, c'mon Riku... we don't have to study all the time." He made sure his expression was as innocent as possible. "I'll pass the finals, I promise!" And Sora was known for his eagerness to keep all promises. Certainly he would pass the finals, perhaps not with flying colors, but that was besides the point. "We could stay for a little bit," he suggested quickly, "and then study double. Pleeeeease?"
But Riku seemed to be stubborn today-more so than usual. He knew there was no hope. His heart began to sink, heavy because he was leaving his precious friends. He couldn't tell Riku why he left Destiny Islands so often. Certainly, he loved the place with all his golden heart... but what if everyone forgot of him again? What if Aerith and Aladdin, or Simba and Olette, or any of them went on with their life so happily that they gave Sora not even the slightest thought? Just because the worlds were not in need of a hero any longer didn't mean he had to abandon his friends so completely. ...But it meant, surely, that they had every right to forget him. But if Sora forced his presence within their lives they couldn't forget him.
It seemed utterly silly, but was it really? His own mother had forgotten him not so long ago. He had returned home, eagerly awaiting his mother's warm embrace and yummy dinners just as he had many years before. He was ready to sleep in a bed that belonged solely to him and he was ready to wake every morning to his favorite pancakes. This all happened, but his mother admitted she had forgotten him. Bewildered, he saw that many of his friends had forgotten of his existence too for awhile. Puzzled, and distraught at this news, he was sure people on the other worlds could forget him too.
Sora knew it was because of his long sleep that his friends forgot him. While he was still lost on all of the details, he knew it probably wouldn't happen again in that way. But if everyone didn't see him for a long time they would quickly store him a way in their memories. How could Sora stand it if he was forgotten again? Even Kairi, his very best friend, had forgotten him... and he never told her how much that hurt. How the world could abandon him so easily.
And now? Well, it wasn't as though his chain of memories-or whatever they were-was going to be torn again any time soon. Did that need to happen for him to be forgotten though?
And so he was being dragged away, and he sulked in Riku's grasp, putting little effort forth to free himself. He was simply sad he hadn't had a chance to drop by Merlin's. As his hope slipped away, it was renewed when Seifer began to speak. Before Sora could protest (not that he was going to...) Seifer had freed him. He plunged forward, nearly knocking into Seifer. Turning around, and trying hard to hide his relief, he saw that Seifer was challenging Riku and that Sora owed him.
"Riku, let's just relax for a bit." Sora added. "All we've been doing is studying."
Well, Sora was sleeping during class and drawing doodles in the event that Riku had managed to sit him down for a minute for 'studying'. Sora was no better at school that he was before... he still had the attention span of a five-year-old and was often found drooling on his desk rather than taking dearly needed notes.

[ ooc zomg Jade! xD It's okay! I'm glad you joined! *dances* Now we almost have the whole group here. ]
Sora was happy beyond belief. He was more than grateful to Seifer, for even the few moments he had right now, still standing in Radiant Garden. He was wary when Riku posed himself in such a way that it was obvious to Sora that he was sure to attack Seifer. However, from this moment of tension an idea was formed. A battle royal? If you won you got whatever you wanted?
He looked around briefly, wondering if someone was pulling his leg. Surely Riku wouldn't allow it. He'd be stubborn and demand Sora go and... ugh... study. Yet, a miracle occurred, Riku was the one who suggested it. Sora looked dazed, giving his friend a look of total disbelief. Though, he was excited, his whole body screaming with glee. His heart thundered with energy and adrenaline alike. He flashed them yet another grin, his pearly white teeth showing as he nodded in agreement.
He listened as Riku went off with what his reward would be for winning. As obvious as it should have been Sora frowned anyway. He didn't like Riku's reward, because it involved him... studying and going back home. Well, he thought, better not let him win. Sora went and looked at Seifer thoughtfully. Upon hearing Seifer's request he nearly had a miniature heart attack. His childish face twisted into a look of indecision and puzzlement. Why would someone want to learn how to wield a Keyblade? He pondered Seifer's prize. Sora... train him...?
How the heck would he do that? In truth Sora wasn't much of a teacher. Actually, no one taught Sora how to wield a Keyblade. It sort of just... came to him. Well, it was better than having to have to go back to Destiny Islands. So, with a slight nod, Sora agreed to that as well.
"Yeah, that's enough." And he was back to his smiley self in no time at all.
Holding out his hand before him a white aura of light enveloped his hand, engulfing his thin fingers in it's warm essence. From this light, in a sudden dazzling flash, Kingdom Key was appeared. It was the most simplistic out it's many forms being it's "default version". It was, in essence, a giant key. Sora gazed at the light weight key as many good memories were provoked from it's presence alone. Yes, it was as though a bond was formed between Sora and his Keyblade. Really, the Keyblade made up a large part of who he was now. He vaguely wondered if that was a good thing.
Placing the weapon at his side he waited ever patiently for the battle to begin. Patiently, for Sora, wasn't very patient at all. He was far too excited for his own good, his bright eyes eagerly racing over Seifer and Riku, while his free hand tapped his side in an act of impatience. Well, Sora wasn't exactly known for just standing around, now was he?
It was perhaps the slight rustle of clothes that alerted Sora that another visitor was among them. Maybe it was the slap of feet hitting the ground. Either way, Sora found himself turning around expectantly, unsure if it was a Heartless or not. And there, rushing toward them, was the King. Sora's eyes widened to the point where it was a wonder they remained in his head. It was only when Mickey was among them, stationed between Riku and Seifer, did Sora let loose a small cry of delight.
"King Mickey!" He exclaimed, kneeling so that he could look the large mouse in the eyes. "How are you?"
It was, however, when Mickey mentioned an important letter that Sora's face fell. He looked to the ground suddenly, his face flushed a rosy color. He supposed this wasn't the moment to say oops.
Now, did Sora know of this letter? Of course he did! It was as though it happened yesterday. He had been speaking to Riku about that shiny door opening and leading them home, when suddenly Kairi appeared. Stupidly he thought of how much she had changed... which always entered his mind these days, but switched to a thought of panic when she looked alarmed. His eyes had widened and his mouth opened only slightly. He was aware of Riku beside them and of his own muscles instinctively tensing. Kairi brandished a bottle with a letter in it. On that fateful letter was the King's seal.
Quickly Sora removed the letter from the bottle. He unrolled it with trembling fingers, dreading what it said. If it was good news... well, certainly Mickey would send someone to tell them, right? If it was bad... and written in a rush... Sora was nearly hyperventilating by the time the letter was unrolled all the way. His eyes scanned it's contents hungrily. He missed most of it the first time and had to reread it three times more to fully comprehend it's message.
It told them to meet the King in Radiant Garden.
...And in a day's time Sora had forgotten all about the letter.
Still blushing fervently, he looked back up at the King.
"We got it," Sora hedged. "And here we are...?" Chuckling nervously as he did when Riku arrived, Sora rubbed the back of his head, in hopes that he came off innocent.
There was only one problem here though. Kairi wasn't here. Sora hadn't worried at first, sure she was safe on the island doing whatever girls did with their free time, so he hadn't said anything to Riku about it. Now, however, he turned in Riku's direction and opened his mouth to voice his question.
"Where's Kairi?"

Sora really was truly immersed in his conversation with Mickey. In fact, so much that Riku's point was well taken. The happy brunette was staring at the humanoid mouse with bright eager eyes, while still somewhat embarrassed by his forgetfulness. His head was full of Kairi, marveling on how she wasn't with them and how mad she was going to be when she realized he left the island yet again.
Suddenly there was a cool metal being pressed against his neck. Sora's eyes shot open once again, a sliver of fear shivering down his spine in a tingling sensation as his hand clutched his Kingdom Key until it turned white. He looked up to see Riku with such a fierce expression on his face that it truly scared Sora. He was sure it was overly obvious as Sora peered up at his friend. Yet, in moments like these, Sora was reminded of Riku in his darkest hours. Of the boy standing before a dazzling giant heart, donned in strange clothing, talking sweetly of darkness and Kairi and the door to darkness. Of princesses... of how Sora had such a heart in which truly belonged to the nearly dead girl before him...
He shuddered away from the memories. Dubbing them just that: memories. There was no reason to dwell on them any longer. But every time Riku was brooding over something he could never understand or looking at him with that envious and equally dark gaze Sora couldn't help but remember such times. Yet, no matter how frightening Riku could be, Sora knew one thing for sure: Riku was always going to be his best friend. Darkness could never change that.
When Riku finally retreated Sora got to his feet, placing a forced smile on his lips.
"I'll remember that," Sora murmured.
He never told Riku that he never did suspect a friend would try to harm him in such a way when he was talking to an old friend. He didn't hint that he felt completely safe around him and that in real combat he wouldn't be so careless anyway. Rather, the Keyblade Master dropped it; letting his thoughts focus on the silver haired teen's next words instead.
Upon hearing them of course his face turned scarlet yet again. Not only had he forgotten the letter, but also he'd forgotten most of its contents. Ducking his head again, he sighed. Maybe some of those chains of memories were still broken or something...
Sora only looked up to hear Riku's response to his question concerning Kairi. The Chosen One did his best not to look too curious to his answer or too eager, though he probably failed miserably. It wasn't a secret any longer that Sora cared for Kairi very much. Not only did he draw a lovely picture depicting him giving the girl a fruit that intertwined destinies right on the wall of their not-so-secret place... but he often made sure Kairi was well and the like, eager to please her. Keeping his thoughts carefully on Riku's answer and not on Kairi he listened intently. In truth it wasn't a favorable answer at all.
Sora's face was carefully composed, smiling a bit too merrily, wondering what Riku meant by that. He spent just as much time with Kairi as he did if Sora said so himself. Actually, it was difficult to be alone with her. Riku was often present, or a chattering Selphie, or Tidus who was always begging to fight. How was a guy supposed to admit his affections for a girl if you could never find time to do so? Well, in all honesty, Sora never could phrase his words he wanted to say to Kairi properly... so it'd be a while until he ever did.
"Well Riku," Sora countered. "I thought you'd be with her while I was gone... you usually are."
Smiling in a more content manner now, he looked to King Mickey and Seifer in hopes that their rivalry wasn't too obvious. No doubt it was. Old habits died hard and so did rivalries. And it appeared that they were fighting for the same thing as they were then, though Sora often told himself Riku and Kairi were just very good friends and neither felt romantic about the other... because Riku was not obvious.
Yeeeeeeah.
His face fell at the mention of his latest expedition (as he liked to call them now). Riku had to play that card did he?
"I didn't come here because of that," Sora replied quickly. It was true, of course.
Sora thanked the heavens when Seifer spoke. Yet his words were strange to him. Sorta like... whom? R o x a s. The name was abruptly fixed in his mind, so sudden that it startled Sora that it was even there. He didn't know the name nor whom it belonged to... but he couldn't help but feel it was familiar to him somehow. The Organization members made a point of calling him that... but he had just thought they were confused. Was Roxas a person or something? Was he that strange spiky haired kid who resembled him so much? The one that fought him not so long ago claiming he was a good "Other"? His head was spinning by his theory’s end.
Blinking at Seifer, his face posed in confusion and curiosity he pressed on to look at little Mickey. He was glad Mickey was there-that carefree King everyone seemed to love. Placing his hands behind his head in his usual act of carelessness he smiled to himself. Funny Mickey should come a day early just like Sora. Coincidence perhaps?
