[ Opened to Roxas only. ]
Sora stood in the midst of the shopping area with his favorite ice-cream stuck in his mouth. Sea-Salt Ice-Cream.
Or... was it his favorite at all?
Perhaps it was that boy inside of him that liked the ice-cream so much. Maybe Sora didn't like it at all, but because of his shadow's presence it was now his favorite. Maybe the very thoughts he pondered now was not even his own. Did they secretly belong with the boy with cropped blond spiky hair? The one with an eerily familiar face that mirrored his own so well? Did such thoughts belong to him, the one with the large penetrating blue eyes? His... Nobody?
He didn't even know his name.
And yet, that boy shaped who Sora was. Not knowing his Nobody was like not knowing yourself. A large chunk of your being unknown to you. How could one live like that? Or, better yet, how could one live wondering what was truly his and not the other's? How much, exactly, did they share? Sora hardly felt his Nobody's presence anymore. When they had first fused together, Sora gazing upon him for the first time, Sora had a great awareness of his Nobody's living being. While communication was sorely limited Sora did always wonder about who his Nobody was... before.
He never asked the unknown boy.
What Sora didn't know was that his Nobody's name was Roxas. Roxas indeed had a life before being mended back into Sora to make the Keyblade Master whole once more. Roxas was the one who had a taste for Sea-Salt Ice-Cream and the one who had the talent for skateboarding. Not Sora. The brunette fretted over the existence of his Nobody, so fearful that Roxas consumed more of his life than he did. How much, he always wondered, did Roxas have of his life?
Now, eating a bar of Sea-Salt Ice-Cream, this question came back to mind. There was much else for Sora to ponder, but his thoughts needlessly traveled to Roxas, his unknown Nobody. Roxas, as Sora could recall, had lived here in Twilight Town in a moment of bliss. He had quite a few of Roxas's memories now, mingled with his own. They provided a weak explanation of Roxas-hardly any at all. Twilight Town was just as Roxas remembered it. The beautiful orange glow of the sun filtered down to the land and washed it with it's twilight glow. The streets were filled with happy people and the sweet fragrance of Sea-Salt drifted about mixed with the smell of of the forest. It was always sad, Sora thought, to think of Roxas and what he once had.
Such sadness, he was sure, was provoked by Roxas himself. Did Roxas miss this place dearly? Did he wish he never returned to Sora? Did... he want to be free? Sora brushed the questions away, quietly insisting there was no need to worry himself. The charming spiky haired kid strolled around the circular area, passing the candy shop and accessory shop alike. At once he came upon a skateboard sitting in the sun, gleaming as though to welcome him to ride it.
...Did Roxas like being his Nobody?

[ ooc You want to get Roxas seperated from Sora in this thread, correct? xD ]
Sora was still contemplating the notion of his Nobody not liking him. Was it possible? Sora felt rather guilty as well, he had created Roxas and then tore him from his world unknowingly. Roxas must have lived happily before and then he had been forced into returning to Sora. Had Sora ruined a perfectly normal soul? Though, admittedly, a soul in which had no heart?
He shuddered at the thought. Biting another chunk from his ice-cream, relishing the salty taste, he stepped onto the purple skateboard. On Destiny Islands such a sport would be impossible. This was due ot the fact that the islands were made of sand alone, and as Sora knew, one couldn't skateboard on sand. While he was on Destiny Islands he had yearned to hop on a board, eat some Sea-Salt Ice-Cream, and go hang out on a clock tower. Of course, such things were not on the island, so Sora toiled his time away some other way. Yet, the nagging in his mind would not cease, and finally Sora was subjected to coming to Twilight Town.
After finishing his ice-cream, his hand still on the popsicle stick, Sora began to ride the skateboard more skillfully. He loved it-the speed, the way the board moved easily with a slight tilting of his small frame, and the endless list of tricks he could perform. After doing a nearly perfect heelflip he smiled. The wind played in his spiky locks and a great smile spread on his lips. He missed this so much. Well, in truth, he had never done this before Roxas, but he still missed them dearly anyway. He rode about the market district quite a few times, drinking in the sunny town and thrill of doing a trick right. His many belts and chains jingled, emitting a soft melody. The teenager looked exceptionally happy, beaming at anyone who passed.
Yet, something went wrong.
It was as though his whole world fell away from him... as though someone had snatched everything before him and was placing another scene there. Hadn't he been riding a skateboard? What was he doing on a clock tower? He was now looking upon a new scene, one unknown to him, gazing at four teenagers his age. They were happily licking Sea-Salt Ice-Cream calmly chatting amongst themselves. Suddenly, one of them spoke. Wasn't that Olette? And... Hayner... and Pence...? And there Roxas sat, closest to Sora now. No one seemed to notice the perplexed Sora. Rather, they were facing Roxas, eagerly awaiting an answer.
"Hey, Roxas, who do you think is going to win the Struggle Tournament?"
Roxas's face lit up then, and he grinned merrily. Sora shuddered on how similiar Roxas was to him. It was as though he was staring at his own reflection only slightly altered.
"I will, unless Hayner decides to cheat." Came Roxas's confident reply.
And it was over. The scene faded. Sora found himself leaning forward, eyes wide, and his mouth opened-words waiting to spill forth. Yet the four were quickly fading away into darkness.
"Wait!" Sora cried finally.
Suddenly, he was back on his skateboard. However, having been so distracted, he lost control. Quickly he was flung to the side, and as he drifted in the air for a little less than a second, he remembered Roxas's pleased expression. That happy grin Sora knew so well and his deep blue eyes. Then, in a pain-staking moment, he crashed into the ground. Landing on his back the breath was knocked from him. The brunette gasped for air. In the midst of his pain he choked out a name.
"Roxas...?" He wondered vaguely if Roxas could even hear him.

[ ooc Yeah, that's a great idea. =D ]
Sora laid gasping on the ground, a fresh shot of pain ran along his back, as quite a few people stopped to look. Sora swore he heard a whisper of concern go along the small crowd. However, Sora was far more concerned with Roxas rather than his aching back. It was so strange, Roxas was a lot like him... he had been a normal person... just like Sora.
And Sora had ripped him from his happy little world unknowingly. He felt terribly guilty for that. He knew Riku and others would insist that it was silly to feel guilty because of a Nobody. They are just a shell anyway, they would say, they couldn't feel emotions. Yet, Sora could feel emotion. He felt that white-hot emotion wrap around his valiant heart and make it hurt. He could feel his conscious quietly pestering him and he could feel the weight of his actions lean heavily against his beliefs. Sora spent hours upon hours caring for others, but then he left Roxas virtually in the dark. Had he cared about his Nobody until now?
With a sickening dread, he knew the answer was no. He hadn't given Roxas even a single thought. He hadn't given any of the Nobodies much thought actually, even the esteemed Organization. He was now gazing at the sky above, drenched in an orange coat where brilliant purples blemished the perfect sky. No wonder Roxas liked it here... before Sora took it away. It made sense that Roxas should like it here-it was a beautiful peaceful world…
Sora did not move his aching muscles, but rather laid on the hard ground for some time, unsure of what to do. What could he do? Apologize to Roxas? No, he wasn’t sure that Roxas could even hear him much less respond. Frowning, he still stared on.
Then the world faded away once again. There Sora was, back on that clock tower, suspended high above. He stood next to Roxas once again, peering at the familiar boy with guilt and curiosity alike. They were still eating their ice cream, careless to the world below in which was busy with people going about their business. Sora was only acutely aware of the height in which he stood on the edge of the clock tower, far from the ground, and focused on Roxas and his friends.
"Me, cheat? Why would I do that?" Hayner asked, grinning.
Roxas thought of the many times Hayner had, indeed, gotten angry over losing. Hayner was the sort who strived to win and for nothing more. Sora could feel Roxas’s uncertainty and hear his memories, which melded with his own so perfectly.
”Well, cause I know you don't want to lose." Roxas murmured.
Sora knew too. It was the last thing Hayner wanted. Olette, though, leaned over glancing at the two boys with a deep happiness. They were her best friends and she knew them better than anyone else. Grinning, she said, "At least this time, no matter who wins the four of us split the prize, right?"
"Exactly, and it'll be one more thing for us to share."
Didn’t they know that Roxas was soon to be taken from them? Sora, looking wary as he stood there, hated to think of it. It made sense to him now… everything. The reason he woke from his deep slumber in the first place, the reason Hayner was so sure he knew Sora before, the reason he cried as he left Twilight Town. And the reason sat before him eating ice cream in the lazy summer heat. It was then, rather abruptly, that an old woman down below cried for Pence to get to dinner. Her shrill voice broke Sora’s reverie. Pence bade his friends good-bye and rushed to his grandmother. Sora was tempted to flee the scene as well; sure it would do nothing more than make him guilty.
But, for reasons Sora couldn’t completely comprehend, he had to talk to Roxas. But how? They were both completely immersed in his memories and so Sora could do nothing more than watch. Sora hadn’t given Roxas’s memories much contemplation, rather ignoring the new images that flashed before him at given intervals. It was then that Hayner and Olette followed Pence shortly after. It was just Roxas and Sora now, and Sora found his mouth sealed. What could he say to Roxas now? Why even bother talking to a memory of him?
It was then Roxas rose to his feet and began to leave as well. Suddenly, as though it was very obvious, Sora knew he had to catch him now. By then Roxas was walking down the stairs, oblivious to his Other watching him with wide intent eyes. Sora quickly whirled around, nearly losing his balance, and rushed after Roxas. Adrenaline pumped through his lean body aiding him in his chase. His breaths quickly turned into short gasps as he pounded down the winding staircase Roxas so causally weaved his way on.
Sora was very near to him by the time Roxas was making his way home, carefully picking his usual route. How could Sora be so completely ignored? Surely Roxas had an inkling that his Other pursued him so, that Sora was now beside him easily falling into his steps for his stride matched Sora’s perfectly. Didn’t Roxas know that Sora was trying to communicate?
“Roxas,” Sora said, daring to touch his shoulder. However, as his hand was to make contact it simply fell through, the place where his hand passed through rippling like waves. Sora snatched his hand away. Of course, this was just a memory; Sora was not to mess with it.
It was then Roxas made his way ‘home’.
“Roxas!” Sora cried finally, frustrated that he couldn’t find a way to talk to his Nobody properly.

[ ooc Thank you very much~ maybe I will once I get the motivation lol. ]
Sora gazed upon Roxas, his azure eyes round and hinted with a fierce determination not uncommon with the Keyblade Master. It appeared that he was getting no where, Roxas was simply pressing on with his memories, perhaps so immersed within them Sora had little hope of communicating with his Nobody. Sora was by no means an expert with memories and knew very little about them. Actually, he knew very little about Nobodies and Others and how such a bond was supposed to work.
Was Sora just playing against Fate here? Maybe the spiky brunette was not supposed to talk to his Nobody by any means. Maybe he was disturbing natural order here, maybe Roxas was never to speak with Sora again and they were never to face one another at all. Maybe Others and Nobodies were one entity and was to be treated as such. Perhaps the reason Sora could not penetrate this wall of memory was because it wasn't natural to talk to Roxas now.... he was probably in a place Sora couldn't reach.
No, Sora thought at once, washing away his doubts. If Roxas was truly his Nobody, as he so claimed, Sora could talk to him. He simply had to get past these memories of Roxas's old life first. It was a crazy theory in most respects, but Sora was hardly going to give up on Roxas. He had ignored the boy for too long-it was time to learn about the Nobody who completed him so long ago.
Clenching his fist in determination he trotted forward at a brisk pace, ever close to Roxas. As Sora was about to try to breach the gap that seemed to be between them yet again, he heard someone call Roxas's name. Whirling around, puzzled as to who would be calling Roxas, he blinked anxious eyes and pursed his lips. Was there no end to this charade? Roxas had a lot of friends... Much like Sora had now, which the thought provoked a fresh coat of pain.
"Hiya, Roxas! What have you been doing lately?"
Sora wanted to point out that Roxas was inside of him at this very moment, doing absolutely nothing, but he was sure he would be ignored still.
"Oh, the usual, hanging around, eating ice-cream. What about you? Has the shop been bringing in the dough?"
Sora wrinkled his nose at Roxas's strange terminology. 'Dough'? On Destiny Islands such a word was used to describe the stuff you made bread with. Here, he supposed, it meant money. While he pondered how different the two seemed, he heard an abrupt laugh from Sam. Peeking up at the shopkeeper from beneath a fray of spiky bangs, Sora smiled lightly. Sam appeared to like Roxas a great deal, beaming at the young boy with such affection that Sora could tell they were very good friends. This should have made Sora happy, if anything, but it only made him guilty. He should be happy Roxas had so many great friends...
...Fake friends that would never remember him. Friends composed of data alone and were only there to entertain the dual wielding Nobody until Sora was ready for him. Friends who knew not of Roxas any longer and would never recall his name again or gaze upon him with such genuine liking ever again. He wanted to tell Roxas he should enjoy this brief moment, such a blissful one, maybe even his last, but knew it was far too late. Roxas wasn't going to see Sam, he wasn't going to skateboard in the orange glow of the sun, and he would never see his friends again. But he knew-despite these truths-that Roxas had enjoyed each of those moments and thus could recall them so easily now.
"Sort of, it's been going great, but I need to expand a bit. The store is too small, and I've got a lot of merchandise."
Sam smiled and Sora again felt a pang of guilt. It was so unfair that someone should throw innocent Roxas in a fake town, with fake feelings and personality, and fake everything merely for his own sake. Surely Roxas could have gone and saved the worlds just as easily as Sora... but someone felt that Roxas was incompetent. It was then Sora wondered as to why Roxas was thrown into the Virtual Twilight Town anyway... and why was he sleeping in that pod for so long. Such questions appeared to have no answers.
"Well, Sam, I should be heading home." Roxas said, and began making his way there.
Sora didn't bother to point out that Roxas never really had a home. Even if he did Sora was soon to deprive him of it.
Sora trudged behind Roxas yet again, thoughtful once more as to how to penetrate this memory. Sora knew that he couldn't truly change a memory for a memory was only changeable should Roxas see fit to change it himself. Unless Roxas fooled himself and altered the memory, or forgot it, then the memory was changed. It now dawned on him that if he wanted to talk to Roxas it would have to be the Nobody himself and not a memory of him.
He stopped abruptly then, of course. He watched as the memory of Roxas began to walk away, oblivious to his presence. Looking as determined as ever Sora cast his gaze to the deepening orange sky. Closing his eyes, thus blinded by his own accord, he took in a gulp of air. With his fist clenched at his sides, and the wind playing in his hair and moving his many belts and knickknacks causing a soft melody to play over the suddenly quiet scene, he called out to Roxas again.
"Roxas!" He shouted to the sky, no-to beyond the sky, to Roxas himself. To the Roxas that laid to rest within his own heart-the one Sora couldn't see quite yet.

He sighed, unsure of what was happening but finally submitting to whatever it was that clawed at his heart. He was numbed for a bit and couldn't even feel the wind playing at his face. The warmth of the sun disappeared, as did the earthy smell of Twilight Town. For once he was nothing, simply unfeeling and unmoving. Much like a soul lingering between space and time in a place of non-existence. The brunette wondered if this was what it was like to be a Nobody. You truly felt as though nothing could touch you, as though a wall existed around you blocking everything from you and one couldn't tell if it was a blessing or a curse.
Sora reasoned he had to be dreaming for that was what it felt like. Falling deep into an endless slumber, one you couldn't wake from. Truly falling away from consciousness. The Keyblade Master had no idea what was going on; only that everything was falling away from him. His senses evaded him and the numb feeling lingered.
And he heard a voice in that fleeting moment. Roxas's voice...
A scattered dream, that's like a far off memory, a far off memory that's like a scattered dream.
Like a rush it all returned to him. Sora gasped as sweet air blessed his lungs for he had been holding his breath unknowingly. Gasping in the sweet air, which was filled with the fragrance of crayons, paper, and a hint of sweet flowers, he opened his eyes. For a second he was blinded by the overwhelming presence of light. He blinked a few times trying to clear his vision. Finally, after moments of sputtering and blindness, everything cleared in a crisp defined reality.
Sora took a moment to drink everything in, relishing the warmth and lived-in presence of the strange white room. Strange as it was the room was white alone, only broken by artwork that was scattered on the table, floors, and walls. He took this moment to shift in the (surprise) white chair, which wasn't exactly comfortable. It was hard and he couldn't fathom as to why someone would sit in this chair and just... draw or something. Already he was uncomfortable in it.
His eyes, having nowhere else to look, gazed across the long stretch of table where only a vase interrupted his line of vision. He hadn't bothered to question as to why he was in a blinding white room until his sapphire orbs landed squarely on Roxas. He nearly fell from his chair from shock, using the table to steady himself. There was Roxas right in front of him, sitting calmly enough. Sora felt as though Roxas was angry with him, but he was sure it was simply his crazy imagination.
Sora didn’t like looking at Roxas too much as it often made him uncomfortable. It was as though he was looking at himself-a part of him in which he had no control over. Looking at the person whom was truly him made his heart sputter uneasily as though Roxas was some sort of phantom that should be with said heart. He let his eyes wonder yet again to the pictures plastered on the wall. As his blue eyes traced over their contents eagerly he noticed that they all depicted pictures of his adventures. Some even had his friends…
What the? Who DREW these? He didn’t know anyone of any real art skill at all, so who could draw these pictures of his adventures? Though many knew of his little plight to save the worlds these were drawn with every detail in mind, things any stranger could never know. He let his steady gaze slide to Roxas yet again, suspicion on his face.
“Did you draw these?” Sora asked, quirking an eyebrow. It would be pretty weird if Roxas drew the pictures seeing as Sora had no art skill whatsoever.
Of course, they had decided to speak at the same moment. Sora threw his question out just as Roxas was asking why he was here. The Chosen One simply blinked at his spiky blond Nobody as though his question was silly. When, in reality, it was probably Sora’s question hat was stupid.
Sora regarded Roxas’s question carefully enough. Why WAS he here? It was certainly a good question. Sora looked to the tabletop for comfort and was met with, yet again, white. He almost blurted out that he felt guilty about what happened with Roxas. But that felt stupid to say and he didn’t think Roxas would get it. Actually, Sora didn’t even know WHY Roxas went and sacrificed himself at all. Surely he would have waken from that pod soon enough.
“I think we should talk,” he muttered, putting his hands on the table before him, spreading his fingers out. “I mean… I was in town and all… and I thought, ‘Why not visit Roxas?’”
Well, there was a pretty good reason he didn’t just hop along and visit Roxas all the time. It was probably because the blond resided inside Sora. You just couldn’t visit any time you wanted.

Roxas moved from his chair, no doubt to murder him. Sora looked weary as Roxas went to a wall and snatched off one of the beautiful pictures. At first he couldn't see as to what was on that picture, not until Roxas slapped it on the table anyway. There, smiling up at him was Kairi just as he had remembered her for so long. Her lovely red locks curtained her rounded face while her azure eyes danced with a glee he could never comprehend. Her pale lips were pulled in a brilliant smile that, even when drawn, could dazzle him.
Then he let his gaze slide over to the other person depicted in the picture. She was pale, her blond hair falling neatly over one shoulder, as her lips were slightly parted. She had those lovely blue eyes as well, but he could tell they weren't like Kairi's. No, there was an unmistakable longing in them as though she wished to be the girl next to her. The happy one. Sora drew in closer to the picture, hardly hearing what Roxas was saying. He did remember seeing her when she opened that portal.
Her name was Namine?
Namine... Namine... Namine... where have I heard that before?
No where, of course. Never had anyone-save for Roxas-ever uttered such a strange name. Yet, there his memory was humming the name over and over again like a broken record. He couldn't help it... he felt he knew her when, surely, he had seen her only that one time. But those sad blue eyes seemed so familiar and it was right there. He knew why she was so sad, why she looked so insecure even when hidden behind a picture. But, why oh why couldn't he remember the reason? It was certainly there, dancing over his conscious mind. He wished terribly to ask Roxas, but he refrained from saying anything until his Nobody demanded some answers.
Of course, he felt a little threatened when Roxas said something about Kairi. Okay, what was up with everyone thinking he had to spend every waking moment with her? Not that he would complain if he could, but he had things to do and she did as well. He looked up at Roxas, his face still puzzled mixed with some insecurity of his own. Still that mirrored reflection looked back at him and Sora shuddered away from it inwardly.
Not only that, but Roxas seemed seriously annoyed. Sora simply looked at the picture some more, pondering over Roxas's questions when the Nobody said they had been separated. Sora blinked profusely at that, as though he didn't quite believe it. His head shot up as his eyes widened. They were SEPARATED?! No way! He thought this was just one of those memory things... but he noted how everything here did feel somewhat real. Well, really real.
"I don't know." Sora muttered quietly, feeling a new wash of guilt. Didn't Roxas want to be free? "I just saw your memories... and well, here I am." He smiled lightly, trying to salvage this conversation from becoming an argument. "You did it once, remember? When you fought me? You said, 'You make a good Other.'" He made sure to make his voice ominous when he quoted Roxas. "Whatever an Other is..."

Namine... had helped him? Sora looked completely surprised. He looked at Roxas warily as many thoughts ran in his head. Namine had helped him? No way! Sora had not the slightest idea on who Namine even was, much less of a time she might have actually helped him. And when would he need any help anyway? Really, with the help of the friends he actually could recall, everything had gone fine. The only weird thing was the whole being-in-a-pod-asleep, but he hardly thought that a little girl like Namine could force him into a dreary sleep. Plus, that hadn't even helped him!
"What do you mean she helped me?"
Was there a time Sora couldn't remember? A whole period in his young life that he had not the faintest idea of what had occurred? What if he hurt someone? What if he had hurt this Namine? What if he hadn't been the hero he declared he was? Sora did hate to fret, but he worried about what might have happened in this illusive period of time that was missing in his memory.
OR, Sora thought suddenly, Roxas was perfectly insane. Maybe his Nobody was confusing something that had happened to him with something that happened to Sora. Roxas did share his memories and it was possible. They looked alike in many ways and he knew it would be easy to confuse them. Yes, Roxas was just confused. He didn't voice that though.
Sora decided to regard Roxas's other comments though. The ones that made better sense.
Sora looked utterly thoughtful, his lips pursed as he crossed his arms and leaned back in the terribly uncomfortable chair. All he could see was white all around... very disturbing really... and it did little to help him figure out what was wrong. Why was it that he could finally speak to Roxas after so long? And though it was true he was the Keyblade Master he still couldn't fathom as to why this was happening. Did the Keyblade have something to do with it? Was it his strong heart? Perhaps his heart's desire was actually coming true? He had wanted to speak with Roxas... maybe because he had such a strong heart he could make that possible?
Nah.
"Well, you know Roxas, you're a Keyblade Master too." Sora commented nonchalantly. His voice turned soft suddenly, a little more wary. "Do you like being a part of me? Don't you want to be free again?"
He wasn't sure why he even asked. He hadn't planned to. They were questions he had kept to himself... yet, with Roxas being a part of him and all, how much was really his own? Surely Roxas would know sooner or later anyway. The way he asked the questions hinted at his insecurity. How could Sora bear trapping Roxas against his will? Sora, had he been Roxas, would never want to remain in a dark place within someone's mind. Unless, of course, his being there truly helped him.
But here they were, most obviously separated. There wasn't a reason for Roxas to live in the dark. Whoever had placed him there had been overreacting. He felt perfectly at ease, he even felt more comfortable in his own body. Sora didn't have to worry about Roxas when he was out here with him for his own sapphire eyes to see. Yet, Roxas hadn't been put there for no reason... right?

Sora shrugged, considering the idea Roxas was saying. If they were separated wouldn't he be incomplete? The Chosen One... only half without the Key of Destiny? Sora wasn't one to think too deeply into things-he was a very simple person admittedly-but this hardly took any thought at all. Usually this darkness and Nobody stuff was complicated, but he could answer Roxas's question with ease. Grinning he looked to Roxas though his Nobody was looking at a picture.
"Of course I can." Sora replied happily, pleased that he found a loop-hole in the little system of Nobodies and Somebodies. "I used to. I mean, you were created when I lost my heart right? Well, I got my heart back in a few minutes when Kairi saved me." He shuddered at the thought, he never liked thinking of that ominous darkness he had been lost within. "After she saved me I went on saving the worlds. I even defeated Ansem. You weren't a part of me then. I was perfectly fine! After that... well, that's when I woke up in that pod thing."
He grimaced at the last thought. Waking up in a pod after two whole years had passed. Whatever happened then was a mystery. Why would he sleep for so many years? It wasn't as though he lost that much sleep when saving the worlds. As though Roxas could read his mind he explained. Namine... Castle Oblivion... Memory Witch...
Whoa.
Sora's eyes were wide, their blue depths swimming with curiosity and puzzlement alike. And then, abruptly sadness swept over his features. He lowered his gaze, perhaps to hide it from Roxas. He was sure he looked pathetic, as he was sure Roxas could never fathom as to why he was sad about the whole thing. What was there to be sad about? He couldn't remember any of it at all anyway. And why was that? Because this Namine stole his memories.
"How come... she stole my memories...?" He asked, his voice soft and full of the sorrow he suddenly felt.
He looked to his hands, which had landed in his lap out of his excitement of figuring out that he could live without Roxas. He had twisted into his chair so that he could more easily face his other half. Sora finally lifted his gaze, with his sorrow clearly in it, and saw that Roxas was looking at a picture with him and Axel. Sora's eyes widened in response. Axel was a topic he made a point of not thinking about.
Of course Sora knew that Roxas and Axel were very best friends. Of course he knew that Axel had sacrificed himself to save Sora-at least somewhat the person Roxas truly was. And, of course, it was his fault that he was dead. He wondered vaguely if Roxas knew if Axel was gone and if he knew he was because of the spiky-haired Keyblade Master beside him. Was he a murderer or something? Not only did he get Roxas out of the way, unknowingly really, but he also got Axel to kill himself off.
He just killed everyone it seemed.
Vaguely he wondered if anyone missed those in which he had killed.
"You and Axel were best friends, right?"

Sora stared at Roxas, his eyes magically unmoving. Roxas felt strongly about Axel-they were best friends. By the simple gesture of wiping his eyes Sora knew that Roxas wasn't nearly as calm about Axel being gone as he tried to seem. Did Roxas know? Did he know that there wasn't even an Axel anymore? The man ceased to exist some time ago... Sora dropped his gaze again. Why was that again? Oh yeah, Sora thought bitterly, because he felt the need to sacrifice himself. We could have taken those Nobodies...
Shaking his head he looked at the pictures on the walls as Roxas drew up a chair to explain. It was hard to believe all of what he was telling him. Who the heck was Marluxia? Why would they need to control him if they had Roxas under their wings? Why would they keep information from Roxas, did it somehow help them...? How could Xemnas, the all powerful leader of Organization XIII, be so oblivious with what was going on with his minions? Why, in the first place, would Castle Oblivion be built when they had a perfectly good base in the World that Never was?
And he defeated all of them? Wow.
Sora pursed his lips at that thought. Strange that he had defeated so many powerful foes-some unwillingly-and was so young. It really made you ponder the Keyblade. All of Organization practically fell due to the one goofy brunette. Sora truly wished he could know all of the details... it was horrible knowing so little of the story. A vague outline of a great epic.
"See," Sora said, turning toward Roxas after a moment of consideration. "We don't have to be together. There's no reason for you to stay-if you don't want to." There was another short pause as the brunette thought of yet another question. He said it a little uneasily. "Do you miss any of the Organization members?"
It was a somewhat silly question. But what was the harm in asking? Roxas was his Nobody, but he couldn't read his thoughts. He seemed to miss Axel, though he was putting on a brave face. Remembering Axel's chilling last words... they still made him cringe. And Namine... what about her? What was he supposed to do about this now? Surely she was near... he could speak to her too.
"Is Namine separate from Kairi?" Sora inquired, his voice oddly detached as he looked to the window.

Sora sighed, Roxas was adamant in staying fused with him. And was it merely because their was a lack of information regarding separation? Perhaps, Roxas had reason to deny his suggestion. There really wasn't anything known. There were too many possibilities, too many unanswered questions. What if they truly did fall asleep once more? What if the worlds fell due to Sora's carelessness? How could he be willing to sacrifice so much for this?
He didn't want to say it to Roxas. Roxas obviously did not feel the same. Why should he though? He wasn't the one who had to live anymore. All he had to do was remain safe inside, feeding away on Sora's conscious. There was nothing for him to worry about at all. Simply floating away within the darkness Sora had created.
Yet, Sora was The one who had to drift around the real world. He was the one who had to breathe, to think, to dream. Everything was on him. If he was to die he was sure Roxas would cease to exist as well. Roxas probably didn't think of that prospect too much. Sora had his life in his hands and one silly move would land them both dead. That wasn't the reason, only a small fraction of it. A great deal had to do with the fact that he had little knowledge about himself. How could he know what was truly his favorite? What skills were his and what skills were Roxas's? As though he was a divided person-not quite himself at all. A stranger to himself... it was chilling prospect indeed.
But the guilt was far worse. The little nagging in the back of his head that failed to grow, but also failed to shrink. It was always there-always lingering in the back of his mind. Any moment where bliss would touch him there was always that one thought, that one fear: I bet Roxas would have enjoyed this. Then it would hit him: Roxas couldn't enjoy this. Only because he was locked away tight within him. There was no Namine in the bitter darkness where Roxas lived. Only Sora and the thoughts he felt to think.
"Fine, if I find out what would happen, do you think we could separate? I think Namine is bound to know, if everything you said about her is true."
And he felt utterly content suddenly. He could find Namine with ease and if Roxas felt she was close it made it even easier. Even if she was in Kairi, Sora was sure he could lure her out-just like he did with Roxas. No sweat! Then he could detach from Roxas and the Keyblade Masters would be free men! He vaguely heard Roxas about the other members and yet another question came to mind.
"Hey, Roxas, what happened to them when they faded away?"
Sora never thought about that. Actually, he had thought they merely faded and nothing happened. He soothed his conscious with assurances that when they faded they could not hurt. They could not regret their death or actions for that was a human emotion. They just faded-a calm and seamless death. Better than any death a true human might face.

Sora smiled hopefully, this was the sort of thing he liked. A little compromise that helped everyone to the very end. Even Roxas was going to help him! He felt so happy with this little end that he couldn't help from smiling that goofy grin that had practically made him famous. It all seemed so easy-find Namine and seek her advice. How hard could that be when you had a Nobody who could actually feel her presence?
Too easy for a kid who had fought thousands of Heartless and Nobodies with relative ease. It might even prove to be boring.
Sora regarded his next answer with a quiet sort of curiosity. They merely faded into Darkness? Why Darkness? Why couldn't they fade into the folds of Light where they could live happily? The whole concept seemed rather ominous when one thought of it that way. Sora never had thought very much about those Nobodies he had annihiliated so easily. Not as people with thoughts and hopes even if they didn't have emotions to drive them. But when he did ponder those aspects of human nature that they could have possessed he felt rather guilty. Though, his mind insisted they rightly deserved their fate.
Sora only nodded, no comment coming to mind. For what could one say? Sorry Roxas-I kinda sorta made all of your comrades fall into darkness. But don't worry, they probably didn't feel a thing! Oh the irony.
Rather, he decided to take note of the considerably lighter topics. Sora's gaze slid over to Roxas as he saw the lost expression in his eyes. As though he could actually read his thoughts Sora knew he was thinking of Namine. Sora's smile seemed to turn even lighter if such a thing was even possible.
"You really like Namine don't you?"
And all too quickly they were considering on how they would escape the confines of a memory. Sora, for one, had no idea. There weren't many instances where he found himself locked in a figment of time recalled by only one person. He looked about the room, shrugging his shoulders.
"I dunno. Sometimes there's a door... or it just ends on it's own. And I was riding a skateboard and then I fell and then I landed up here in your memories." He shrugged. Usually when scenarios that were memories appeared in his life it was all very abrupt and quickly ended. But this was something different.

"Well, then we better get out of here and meet her!" Sora cried happily, pushing back his chair and hopping from his seat.
Standing in the middle of the bleached room he felt like he was near Kingdom Hearts all over again. Perhaps because the great door he had locked was just as white. It was a silly thought and he cleared his head quickly. If he imagined that skateboard... maybe...
"Here goes nothing."
Let's see now... skateboard... skateboard...
He had been eating ice-cream. It was very good too. Salty... almost horribly so... but then it would ease into a lovely sweet taste. Almost like Cotton candy... or bubble-gum. Then, just as the sweetness would become sickening it would be salty all over again. It was cool in his mouth as he savored the exotic taste. Blue, sticky, and cold. Then, as an abrupt decision, he went onto a skateboard. It was so easy to make it move it was frightening. He was winding down the cobblestone street, so free and so thoughtful... when that memory flashed into his eyes. Blinding him. He was then flung off of the board, ice-cream gone flying, as he crashed onto his side. Splitting pain, like fire rushing in his veins. People gathering...
And then, the white room brightened. Everything seemed to fade away. And as it faded it was replaced by an intense whiteness. Nothing was there but Sora and perhaps Roxas as well, though Sora could not say. He thought harder-concentrating on the wind, the pain, the ground beneath his fallen body. Suddenly, voices began to break through the silence that enveloped him. Voices thick with concern as they questioned him if he was okay. He was quite fine actually he wanted to say, but he couldn't find his voice...
Then, he could see the sun. It was a great fiery orb suspended before his eyes. It made the sky a deep russet color where wispy clouds followed closely behind it. The voices were so much louder... and his head was throbbing with a great pain. Around him were concerned citizens, bowed over as their faces filled his vision. Sora frowned, his side feeling as though thousands of needles were jabbed into his skin.
"This is why you don't eat ice-cream AND ride skateboards! You could have choked!" He heard someone exclaim.
Sora slowly got to his feet, stumbling as his mind was flooded with a wash of lightness. Focusing, he saw that the crowd was slowly departing-so sure he was fine.
"Roxas?" He asked, fervently searching for his Nobody in the market place of Twilight Town.

Sora was cautiously looking around; to make sure he was not in that dream world any longer. Had all of that been a simple illusion? A dream in which had been provoked by his accident? Yet, Sora knew as he gazed at the crowds milling about, that it had not been a dream. He had spoken with Roxas… and they had come to a friendly agreement to escape their confines.
Then, he heard a voice. For once it was NOT his conscious and certainly not Jiminy Cricket. He was very sure that hearing voices wasn’t exactly normal. If Mickey knew that his star Keyblader was hearing voices in his head Mickey would take his Keyblade for sure. Not only was he a teenager with gravity defying hair and wielding a giant key but he was crazy too. Just great.
Then, he noted with some excitement, that the voice was Roxas’s. Relief flooded over him and he eagerly listened to his Nobody. Roxas told him to find Kairi and not to speak out loud to him. Sora grinned.
“Gotcha!”
Oops. I mean… gotcha. Of course, he was quickly informed of Roxas’s predicament. Sora figured that had to be better than doing nothing but floating. At least he could see the world too. Of course, Sora did want to find Kairi. Though, finding her was no problem. He knew exactly where she would be. She would be upon the white sandy beach of Destiny Islands, her wispy red locks drifting in the wind as her pale lips would be turned into a soft smile of greeting. Sora was a little lost in his fantasy, but all the same he knew where she would be. To Destiny Islands then?

{ Alrighty, question. xD Are we going to continue this plot at Destiny Islands? Just wondering! ^^ }
Sora seemed vividly surprised at Roxas's question. He never knew that Roxas had been curious as to what his home world was like. Sora had merely assumed that Roxas had no interest in his Other at all and perhaps even had a certain dislike to him. Yet, beyond everything he had ever thought of his illusive Nobody Roxas was rather good-hearted despite his lack of said beating organ. Roxas was nothing like those deceptive hooded Nobodies he had fought on his long journey-he was much more kind and thoughtful. The only thing that bothered Sora about Roxas now was of his late affiliation with Organization XIII.
It was a good thing each member of the Organization was dead for Sora would be wary of letting Roxas loose then. Not that he didn't trust Roxas... but Sora knew how tempting darkness could be. Plus, that was practically all his blond-haired twin knew. Everything else in his life had been nothing more than a fabricated tale meant to lure him closer to Sora. If those twelve members still existed he was sure Roxas would return to them. Sora was fairly sure he would do the very same thing if he had been Roxas.
Yet, as Sora happily knew, there was no chance of that ever happening. After all, Sora had defeated a good number of those members. There was nothing to tempt Roxas at all and so Sora could pursue a way to free him.
See? Sora trusted Roxas. Just not if there was something lingering before him to make him choose darkness over light. If Roxas chose such a course after Sora went through so much effort to free him... it would be like a betrayal.
But, Sora reminded himself, there was nothing to sway Roxas at all.
Well, it was probably best if the happy Keyblade Master focused upon freeing him first before fantasizing the future. Sora then thought of Roxas's question. Oh, what was Destiny Islands like? Sora could put it in one word. Beautiful. For of all the places his blue eyes gazed upon it was by far the most beautiful. Nothing could replicate it's perfection. Never could a sunset look as precious as it did on Destiny Islands. Everything there was utter perfection. No place was like it.
Sora began walking ahead, careful to remain silent. Few people noticed him walking casually by. Sora placed his hands within his pockets and made his way to his Gummi Ship parked safely away from the publics eye.
Well, it's the most beautiful place in the universe. I lived on one island and played on another. The one where I would hang out with my friends was Destiny Island. We pretty much constructed everything on there on our own. The sunsets are the greatest-Kairi, Riku, and I used to watch them all the time. No pretzals though. I mean, you'll probably get to see it yourself. That's where Kairi is most likely to be anyway. Sora explained vaguely, marching forth on his important task to find his Gummi Ship. He hurried at the mention of Roxas slipping back into the darkness of his mind.
