This template is to be used for original characters.
When posting your final character profile template, please post it in the 'Profile Posting' section.
Please note that all characters must be either Kingdom Hearts, Final Fantasy, Disney (cartoon/pixar movie), or TWEWY related. No other franchises are allowed.
You can be as creative as you want to be with the character template. We have optional widgets that you can choose to use if you would like and to help you get your creative juices going. Just remember to keep the mandatory information we require for all members here on the forum.
Now, for a more in depth explanation of things we require in the template to help you better understand what we mean for each part of the template. If there's still questions or concerns you may have, once again, feel free to message a staff member. Please don't use the chat box, staff won't be able to answer you properly in the chat if it's something that needs more of an in depth explanation.
Member Information - This portion is pretty simple. All staff requires of you in the appropriate sections of this little tid bit is to put down your username, what other characters you may have, and a little notes section if there's anything you want to tell staff or something random to make your profile more fun.
You can leave the character list portion blank if you don't have any characters on the forum yet and inform staff in the notes that you do not have any characters yet. Aso, just to note, people are free to say "provided in link" for a list of their characters if it's easier or just list one character. You do NOT have to write down all of your characters. This is just to help staff see if someone needs a roleplay sample in case they do no know they need one.
The Basics - All you have to do for this part of the template is give us their name, age, race and gender.
About the Character - Here is where you can tell us informational things about your character such as their personality (how they behave/think/act) and appearance (what they look like). Please write these in depth so members and staff can get an idea of what sets your character apart as an individual from other characters of the forum. This is not the History portion.
Battle Information - Here is where we'll need you to write down in list format what abilities your character has. What we mean here is we require you to give the ability a name and then write next to it a description of how it is cast or performed and what it does. Here is a minor breakdown of the separate sections for Battle information
Abilities: These include mobility and physical combat abilities of attack or defensive origin. By default, RPCs will be allowed 10 abilities. When memebers reach 50 posts, they can add 20 abilities to their RPCs. If an ability is thought to be too powerful, staff will ask you to modify this. Note that varied abilities such as hydrokinesis, pyrokinesis & etc are required to be split up into the various forms you plan on using otherwise if the ability appears too vague and generalized, you will be asked to modify it since varied and vague abilities are not acceptable.
Abilities are judged individually by the staff. What this means is there is a slight variance on things but only slight. You are to go by what the staff member asks for modifications from you. If a modification requested seems highly unfair you're free to ask the opinion of another staff member. This is not a means for someone to go around a rule so be mindful that the request asked is something that's actually unfair and not just a complaint just because they're not giving you your way. For fairness's sake, if a member has an honest complaint about a dishonest request from a staff member, the entire staff team will look at the profile and decide as a whole what should be done concerning the profile in question.
Magic: To better simulate the Kingdom Hearts experience, we will be adding a magic category separate from the abilities for non-physical offense and defense skills. By default, characters are given a limit of 5 spells each, this limit is doubled to 10 spells after the 50 post count is achieved. For magic-oriented characters, Members are permitted to include extra spells past the limit, at the cost of 1 ability slot for each extra spell included [Ex: If you want 15 spells after reaching the max spell/ability amount, you have to have no more than 15 abilities].
Weapons: Weapons are pretty straightforward; we just need the name of the weapons (you're only allowed 5 varied types of weapons and no more) with a description of what the weapon looks like next to it. Please note that if you give your weapons too many magical abilities and it just seems like your skimping out on the maximum ability rule, staff will ask you to modify it. Small passive magical/non-magical abilities for weapons is perfectly fine.
Keyblades are allowed for original characters once you reach 50 posts. Most of the 50 posts should have roleplay threads counted in them or staff won't allow you to have a keyblade. You can't just choose to do nothing but spam the forum or just use the general section to gain yourself posts and expect to have access to keyblades.
Weapons subcategory--Keyblades: If you are creating a keyblade wielder, there are slight variations to what can be done for these characters. For starters, keyblade wielding only takes up one weapon slot, no matter how many keys the wielder possesses. With the new additions in the upcoming KH3 game (and some references from the Lingering Will battle) keyblade transformations are available for those who wish to include them. However, there is a limit of 1 transformation per keyblade if the character has multiple keys, or 3 total transformations, if the character has a singular key (If updating a character to add more keys, you MUST remove a required number of keyblade transformations from the list until there is only one type). Keyblade gliders, if added to the list, are excluded from this limit, as it is a means for transport and combat only in certain situations. Players who wish to have keyblade transformations must have no less than 150 posts, the majority of those posts being roleplay posts.
Shotlocks: Shotlocks are projectile attacks that are ties to a characters keyblades. The attack remains the same even when the keyblade is in one of it's transformations. Simply put the name of the shotlock, the keyblade it's tied to, then a description of the attack along with it's cooldown as if it were one of the character's abilities.
Forms/Command styles: Following KH2 and BBS themes, Players can now give their characters special forms or command styles to improve or even change the way the RPC fights. These forms or command styles can have a max of five abilities each ( Members are limited 3 forms or command styles total, and cannot have 3 of each. These MUST have a time duration listed in posts, and staff have the right to decide if the limit is too high, or if the form/command style is too powerful, and needs editing. Forms and command styles cannot be used simultaneously. Members start off with 1 form for all characters until reaching 50 posts (mostly comprising of RP posts)

Summons: If you choose to have summons in your character profile, only two types of summons are allowed to a single character. Canon character summons such as Mushu, Bambi and Simba are not allowed. When you choose to have two types of summons, staff needs a description of what the summon looks like, their names, and their abilities written in a fashion similar to your character's abilities. You're only allowed 2 abilities each summon and no more.
Kingdom Hearts: Please note that, with discretion such as plot purposes it is okay to involve this. However, abilities allowing one to absorb it is dangerous. Ansem the Wise tried this and an explosion resulted from it therefore characters should not be able to physically drain it themselves because logically it would make them explode (a single Heartless eating it even is overload for said Heartless). Doing so just allows others to godmod one another and staff's stepping down on that. No one's character is better than everyone else's whether they be original or canon.
Character Story - The actual part that says 'Character Story' is not where you write your History exactly, it's the actual portion that says 'Character History'. You only write your character's history next to the 'Character History' label. We require 10 sentences minimum in the character history. Characters must be involved in the Kingdom Hearts universe otherwise this would just become a fantasy site and not a Kingdom Hearts site even though we allow a wide variety of character races on the forum. A simple mention of a canon world name or Heartless/Dream Eaters/Nobodies would suffice. If you've questions about what other things would suffice, PM a staff member. Original characters are not allowed to have any direct contact with canon characters in their profiles.
Writing - This is where new members are required to post a sample of their own work on how they roleplay. Only first time members are required to fill this section out. If you wrote one before, you are not required to write another one on this template. Canons are not allowed to have direct contact with original characters in this section either. This area must be in your own words and cannot be copying anything. Please note that the forum roleplays in a third person viewpoint as seen in Lord of the Rings and most other novels. 10 sentences minimum are required in here.
Kingdom Hearts Questions - This is for you to make them more Kingdom Hearts based. These questions are mandatory even though they are here purely for fun. These questions give you a set of three answers to choose from but by what your character would choose and not you personally. You're even free to write next to the choice the character made and give us a reason as to why they chose the option they picked.
Optional Widgets - In addition to the main template below, you made customize your character with additional sections! These sections are to be placed below the Kingdom Hearts questions and clearly labeled and defined. Anything you want to include to further define your character beyond what is required in the template is fair game. At the very bottom of this post, there is a section containing a few examples of what you could also include in your profile. If you have any suggestions for optional widgets that may seem popularly used, feel free to PM a Staff Member with your idea.
The Template
Below is the character template. Post your final copy in the 'Profile Posting' area. If the profile is incomplete and posted, staff will automatically deny it. If it's left for 3 days without any changes made by the member (you must post once you are finished making the modifications to let staff know you're done doing so) then the profile will be denied. Do not PM or constantly message staff about you making the changes in the chat box since it's harassing if staff's just trying to take a small break. Staff will get to your profile when they can on their own time. Do not harass them about it.
The template categories only need the titles, you are welcome to remove the content describing limits or details pertaining to the category itself once the sections have been filled. Staff will use the template rules in this section to review new characters as they are developed.
