Character Age: Looks to be about 19...as for her actual age, needless to say it's countless centuries
Character Race: Human-form Goddess
Character Gender: Female
About the Character
Character Personality: Celeste Parthenia is a wise girl, and is very good at reasonably judging a situation by taking into account all sides. She never leaps to an assumption too quickly, preferring to think a decision through very carefully in order to make the best one possible, never ignoring any factors of such. She is also a very tolerant and patient kind of person in general, never too hasty. The things she cannot and will not tolerate, however, are Heartless, Nobodies, bullying (especially the bullying of children) and disrespect, either to herself or to others around her.
Celeste's kind and sweet nature is somewhat counteracted by the fact she never really has the chance to show it to others, thanks to her enigmatic existence. She tends to stay away from normal humans, thinking this necessary for her to stay as discrete as she can (see her history for more details). However, this has led to her suffering from some emotional issues, namely loneliness and an underlying longing for companionship of some sort. This has also led to her becoming somewhat depressed lately.
One last thing to note about Celeste is a deep fear, almost amounting to a phobia, of vampiric beings. She has this fear following a series of occasions back in her home-realm, in which she was repeatedly cornered and her silver blood drank by a particular vampire-like being whom had become addicted to its taste.
Character Appearance: Being a divinity, as one would expect, her appearance is nothing less than stunning. She has a beautiful face enhanced by her deep blue eyes and long, flowing silver hair that fades into midnight blue nearer its ends. Something distinctive about her is her pale skin that has a very slight silvery hue; this can be attributed to the fact that her blood, unlike a human's, is not red, instead having a pale silver colour. She has a slender, almost delicate build, and is clothed by a light blue-purple dress which fades into turquoise blue near the end of the skirt, which ends about four inches past her knee. Celeste also wears sky-blue sleeves which are separate from the dress, which cover her arm from her elbow to her wrist, and wears midnight-blue feminine boots on her feet. One last thing to note is her wings; her wings, which give her a wingspan of approximately 4 metres, don't even seem to look physical to the eye, looking more like blue, pink and purple light or energy similar to an aurora, while still keeping the shape of feathered wings. These wings are not visible during the day. You can see what she looks like here
Battle Statistics
Character Position (Hero/Neutral/Villain): Neutral Good - she doesn't seek out evil but will surely fight against it if it shows up.
Character Abilities: I'll break this up by the time of day in which she can use them...
Daylight Abilities:-
Light Pulse - a ball of light about the size of a basketball is hurled at an opponent to deal damage. Requires a two post cool-down.
Light Slash - Celeste slashes at an opponent with both her swords in quick succession, while the blades are cloaked in light energy. Two post cool-down after use.
Telepathy (Passive) - should she choose to do so, Celeste may communicate telepathically rather than verbally. Can also be used at night.
Nighttime Abilities:-
Flight (Passive) - at night her ethereal wings become visible, enabling her with the power of flight.
Moonlight Aurora (Passive) - Celeste can manipulate the moonlight to produce an aurora, which can vary in size between being the size of her palm to stretching out large distances across the sky. This ability is not meant to do damage or anything to that effect; it's merely for show, for the enjoyment of herself or for others.
Moonlight Pulse - Celeste fires five balls of moonlight, each approximately the size of a basketball, at a single opponent to deal damage. Requires a three post cool-down.
Starlight Bolt - A bolt of starlight energy is fired at an opponent from her hands to deal damage. Two post cool-down.
Night Strike - Celeste strikes an opponent with a hand covered in bright starlight energy to deal damage. Two post cool-down.
Starlight Barrier - Celeste summons a barrier of starlight in front of her, protecting her from head-on attacks for one post. Can still be attacked from behind, however. Four post cool-down.
Night Sky's Wrath - Celeste's most powerful ability, and one which takes two posts to complete; on the first post she draws in vast amounts of starlight and moonlight energy to charge up (this takes the visible form of her entire body starting to brightly glow), and on the second post she unleashes a fierce barrage of balls of that energy that rains down on anyone within a radius of 20 metres. Blocking this attack will reduce by half but not completely negate damage. Celeste is restricted from using any other offensive magic for the next post, and her defences and speed drop during that time, too, meaning she'll take more damage from oncoming attacks. Takes a ten post cool-down.
Character Weapons:
The Night Sky Blades: Twin swords with the appearance of sword number 53 from here. Their blades are black, speckled with tiny glittery silver spots like stars, and the hilts are white, adorned with what looks like a golden wing.
Character Summons:
Selenia - a female individual of an extremely rare dragon species known as Lunam Dragons (sometimes known as Moon-Moth Dragons or Moonlight Dragons). As far as this species goes they are fairly small (compared to other dragons, that is), with a body length of 6.5 metres from snout to tail-tip, a height of approximately 3 metres, and are very lightweight for their size thanks to having hollow bones; this, along with the fact that they have four wings instead of two, makes them extremely agile and fast in the air. Selenia's head-shape is almost like that of a bird, with wide eyes for good sight and two antenna-like tendrils that sprout from the back of her head. Her main wings take up the place where her arms would have been if she was a quadruped. In terms of colour she is a bright green-blue, fading into Sky blue along her tail and wings. Her wings are also adorned with brightly bio-luminescent markings and spots. Finally, her tail is tipped with bio-luminescent feathers. She can be summoned for up to eight posts at a time, and after going away can only be summoned after another five have passed. (Reference picture here)
Abilities:
Moonlight Blast - Selenia fires a ball of lunar energy at the opponent from her mouth to cause damage. Requires a cool-down of just one post. Can only be used at night.
Dragon's Cry - Selenia lets loose a shockwave of light energy from her mouth accompanied by a loud screech; the screech does not damage an opponent, but the shockwave can potentially damage anyone within a radius of about 10 metres (note that the shockwave can be blocked). Requires a three post cool-down after use.
Character Racial Ability:
Charm of the Night: As Goddess of the Night Sky, she draws her power from the moon and stars. As such, she cannot use magic during the daytime (with the exception of noted spells), but at night or in the late evening when the stars and moon are out, she's at her full strength. Essentially, this means that in the daytime she's no stronger than your average human, perhaps weaker...but at night, she can sure pack a punch if she wants to.
Character Strengths (1 required): Strong at night, wise, intelligent
Character Weaknesses (1 required): Cannot use most magic during the day, defences are weak during daytime
Character History (Minimum of 10 sentences required.):
Our dimension is just one amongst countless others. Many have never been seen or even heard of by us. Sometimes, however, dimensions can interact in ways we never expect. In such times, mankind might not know that what they perceive to be mere illusions or the like are in fact the result of something, or someone, reaching out across the dimensional barriers.
In one such dimension mankind has yet to set foot in, a number of human-form deities reside, some of which may have inspired a few of the myths and legends of various god-like beings today. Each varies in strength, in magic and in status. Celeste herself was a renowned and powerful being, laying claim to the title of Goddess of the Night Sky, deriving her powers from the moon and stars. She was of an honourable and kind heart, and would always stand by those whom needed her assistance in some way. She was content in her dimension and with her allies, being with them all the countless years of her life. But, more recently, everything changed...
Their world was suddenly attacked by an onslaught of powerful creatures of Darkness - Heartless, Nobodies and Demons alike - that sought that dimension's destruction. War was begun, and though they were strong, the deities were facing even stronger opposition than they ever thought possible. In the midst of war they made the decision that, should they all perish, at least one of them should live, hiding in an alternate dimension - ours - until such time as the war with Darkness is won. Celeste, although she had wanted to stay and support her allies, was selected for this duty, and was transported across the dimensions to our world. It's a one-way trip...unless someone in her original realm took her back, she knew she would be physically unable to return. Upon her arrival, too, she found that this dimension had taken a bizarre effect on her, robbing her of her powers almost entirely during daylight hours, rendering her essentially human in that time.
And thus, she took up an enigmatic existence amongst our worlds, flitting between them, staying as discrete as she can. Her hatred for the evil of Darkness, of Heartless and Nobodies, sometimes compels her to seek them out and destroy them. And sometimes, she will return to the world she first arrived in, where there exists a cavern of crystal that she finds herself able to telepathically communicate with her home-realm. Other than that, thus far she has had no direct interaction with human beings that could amount to anything social...
...such is the life of the Lone Immortal.
