It took no time at all before Rekka, Amber and the others stepped into Cornelia once more. Compared to the Land of Dragons, this world didn't seem to have been effected by anything just yet. Things still seemed somewhat normal. Well, that is, save for the wanted signs that were posted all over the place. As Rekka helped Amber a good bit, she glanced at the posters with a raised brow.
"Hm...looks like we've had some troublemakers appear while we were away, Amber."
On the posters were very crude and terrible drawings of Damien, Orion and Aiden. Aiden managed to pull himself out of his pain to peer up at the posters out of curiosity. "Wow, Damien, I didn't know that you had such a big frown! And...my goodness, Orion, they've got you looking like a skinny Santa Clause!" Damien didn't look the least bit amused as he glowered at the posters. Well, the poster had the frown part right.
"At least they're not close enough to identify either of us. Let's keep moving." Since Damien had the emblem on his shoulder guard painted over, there was no way anyone could identify him by that. No, the only people that would be able to tell who he was were those that had seen him here before in this world prior to their escape.
"You know, I wonder if that doctor guy is alright? I hope he didn't get arrested because of us."
"Hopefully not...they were more intent on trying to capture me at the time."
"So I see you guys were troublemakers here? Mind explaining that one?" Rekka questioned them.
"They were after me. I was mistaken for someone else." Damien lied and hoped that Orion and Aiden wouldn't give him away. After all, even if these women had helped them, he didn't want to risk them learning the truth about himself in case they would attack him. After all, this was their home. If Amber was a soldier like she said, it wouldn't be bright to reveal that he was a former member of the Order of the Destroyer. It was best to not walk down that path. Even if Amber might not be able to do much without her leg, Damien wasn't going to risk his being discovered. Speaking of which, should he locate something to conceal his face?
'No, those posters are pathetic. Such poor talent won't reveal who we are even if we walked in the midst of a crowded place,' Damien thought to himself.
"Well, we're almost at the castle gates guys so just follow us and we'll be in there in no time...that is, if you guys want to come along. We won't force you." With that, Rekka, supporting Amber, took the lead down the main road. The trek itself would only take ten minutes before they would finally reach the gates with their fellow soldiers standing at their posts.

Back in Cornelia. For Amber it was a bitter sweet feeling. It had had seemed like months since she had been last back in the city. This town had been her home for the last four or five years. "But now my friends are gone." She thought of her former crew. Tiger and the rest. She was the only one left of the original crew.
As Rekka helped Amber, Orion couldn't help but look at the wanted posters of the three of them. Had Orion really looked like that? The long beard, the long hair, it was all gone now. He had cut it with his blade when he finally stopped feeling sorry for himself. "Did I really look like that?" Orion asked aloud.
They had caused quite the ruckus when they were last here. "For some reason I feel that there is more to it than that." Amber retorted.
As Rekka and she led the way, Amber looked around at the city. For the most part things seemed fine. There had been no battle here. Things seemed alright, which was a welcome relief.
Coming to the castle gates, Orion paused. Was it smart for them to tag along. "Should we go along? What if they recognize us?" That was what Orion was really worried about.
Amber couldn't cross her arms, she had one arm around Rekka for support. But she would have if she was free. "I can't promise you guys I can protect you. I don't know what you did or if anyone will recognize you."
Orion looked to Damien. What should they do?

Aiden wandered over to the poster and looked at them all. "Hm, well, I don't look like that anymore so...I'm good." Damien grumbled.
"Yes, scruffy, you did." That had been Damien's response to what Orion had asked aloud. He was amused. When Amber made her retort, Damien almost glared at her. If he said anything about what he really was he'd be in for some trouble. People couldn't just feel easy around someone like him. He was lucky Orion and Aiden had come to trust him.
"Say and think what you will. Just remember that I was able to bring you all here on a whim...and not many have a natural ability like my own." Damien refused to say anything more on the subject. If Amber chose to not believe him then he wasn't going to force her to. He also wasn't going to make it easy for her to figure out either. He would have come clean but not when he knew these ladies were connected to this world. Would they try to capture him? Honestly, it would be amusing to see someone try. Why? Well, he could portal out of places. It wasn't exactly easy to contain him. However, he couldn't risk the others getting in trouble because of him.
"Look, let's not get all suspicious of each other right now. We've more important things to worry about." Rekka didn't want to hear fighting for a while. She got enough of it whenever Amber got ticked off at someone. Besides, during the last fight they all had, Bartimaeus had left their group. If they had kept their cool, he might've never left and wouldn't be dead. Somehow, she suspected Amber was going to chew off the heads of at least two out of the three if not all of the men present. Rekka, for the most part, kept her suspicions to herself. She hadn't told Amber that Orion, the white haired one, seemed to be the one Bartimaeus spoke of. He had been so depressed when Bartimaeus had died. There wasn't a doubt that he was related. Yet, from what she knew, there didn't seem to be anything to worry about. He hadn't tried to kill them.
When they came to the gates, Rekka heard Orion question the other two. Damien took pause. "The only two they wouldn't recognize is you two. Orion and Aiden." Aiden looked at Damien thoughtfully and then recalled what they saw with the posters.
"Why don't you do something with your hair and not frown? I don't think they'd have an easy time if you changed how your hair looked for now. Doesn't have to be anything permanent."
Amber then notified them that she couldn't guarantee protecting them. "Hmm..." Damien stated. Holding out a hand, Damien drenched it in water and then used that to smooth and slick his hair back. Thanks to what he did, he looked considerably different. Ridding his face of the look he had, to a normal appearance, Damien's face seemed to lift back as if his face were normally tighter.
"Whoa! You look different! That should work," Aiden stated.
"If you guys are ready, let's go inside!" Rekka started to head in. Whole Rekka supported Amber inside, them identifying themselves whilst claiming the others were guests and friends, they went in.
Damien, while he had a chance, spoke to Orion. "If anything should happen, I'll portal us out like I did before." He looked oddly different. The fact that he wasn't keeping a serious expression on his face like he normally did, it looked as if he were smiling all the time. Silently, Damien entered after the women along with Aiden and Kane.

Damien sure knew how to handle the ladies. At least that was what Orion thought. Hearing his comments to Amber, he wondered if she was going to retort back. The way she had gotten into a bit of an argument when taking out the dagger painted her a firey woman in Orion's eyes. Lucky for them, she didn't say a thing and instead they found themselves at the gates.
Once Damien had done a presto magic act on his face, which was pretty impressive actually, Amber was ready. "Finally home." She said to herself aloud. With Rekka's help the crew entered through the large gateway.
What lay beyond was the pathway to a grand palace. It was different, in comparison to the royal palace on Land of Dragons and the Enchanted Domain. This palace was newer. It had more of a steam punk vibe with a single main body but several winding and twisting towers to the right and left. Made entirely of steel, the castle walls and towers were all connected via gears that were connected via skybridges.
They made an odd group as they came to the entrance. In front of the castle entrance was a pool of water. A drawbridge connected two two bronze gears lay across the land connecting their pathway to the castle. In front of the drawbridge stood two castle guards. On the other side of the bridge stood two more guards. The castle guards were a different sort of soldiers in comparison to the army. Only the top elite soldiers made castle guard.
In her entire stay, Amber had only visited the castle once and the First Lieutenant had been with her then too. Now she went alone.
The soldiers they met first were a man and a woman. They wore the castle uniform, an ensemble of leather armor and black and dark blue pants and shirt underneath. On the torso of their chest plates was a golden lion. "What business do you have with the palace?" The woman nearest them asked.
Amber spoke up. "My name is Amb... Lara. I'm the Third Lieutenant of his majesty's army and I bare a message for him."
The guard raised an eyebrow. "Your an odd bunch for messengers. And I'm supposed to believe that a woman with one leg is the Third Lieutenant? Also why didn't you just hand it to the First Lieutenant?"
Thinking quickly on her feet, Amber said, "I was told to deliver it directly to the king." This was the response from the now deceased Wilder King. Taking out the letter she handed it to the officer to see. The King's signature was stamped on it.
"She's telling the truth, Cal. That signature belongs to the King of Land of Dragons." The guards companion spoke up.
Handing the letter back to Amber, the guard looked the rest of them up and down. "Follow me then." Looks like they were in.

The first thing that came to Damien's mind, as they wandered over to the guards, was how ridiculous he must have looked. It was, indeed, a dramatic change. Normally, people were used to seeing his brooding face and his hair hanging down normally. With it slicked back, he felt awkward. Never the less, it didn’t show on his face as he walked alongside the others.
Rekka hoped that Amber didn’t brain Damien. She knew that the comment he made would have made her snarl at him. Amber was quick to temper. Rekka, only when she felt a huge surge of anger. When they approached the guards, Rekka noted the appearance of the uniforms they all had. They definitely appeared to be top notch. As Amber spoke, Rekka remained silent. At first, Rekka worried that they weren’t going to let them through. Then, the guards relented. Was it truly that easy? The seal had been enough to allow them to pass through in the end.
Aiden walked alongside Kane. Although he wasn’t in garbs worthy of what his new title would be, Aiden strode purposefully alongside Kane. As they passed, Kane curtly nodded at the guards before they all made it within. The sight of the castle made Rekka raise her brows. It was certainly a more modern looking castle.
The guard led them past the other guard as they all crossed the bridge. As they came to the other guards, the one leading them through informed the others that they were messengers and that it was legitimate as the guard presented the letter with the seal. Seeing this, the guards let them through and they got to enter the castle itself. Rekka felt a bit awkward since she had never entered this part of the kingdom before. As they entered, she could feel all eyes on them. Just what were they thinking?
Damien had to be more nervous than the rest. He didn’t show it but he knew very well that he was walking into the castle here. It was a castle where the guards from before had learned of his existence and had tried to capture him and his friends. With this look, hopefully no one would recognize him. After all, who wouldn’t want to get their hands on a member of the Order of the Destroyer? He might be a former one but the information that he could provide would benefit many. Unfortunately, Damien would be treated like a prisoner of war and would likely be tortured into telling them.
”Wow, this place is…beautiful.” Rekka had murmured this so that only Amber could hear as they walked. Aiden gaped at the size.
”Wow, this place is huge!” he exclaimed. Kane gave a nod of his head. This surpassed the Imperial kingdom by far. The trek itself to the actual throne room had been long. By the time they had gotten there, Rekka was relieved for a momentary pause before they were ushered inside. There was a long, red carpet leading up to the throne. At the far end, there was someone that had been sitting there. Rekka wasn’t sure if it were the king or someone else in his stead. If Orion was right it could be someone else sitting there that wasn’t the king.

"This castle is much different than ours." Orion said silently to Aiden and Damien as they treked through the castle. Indeed comparing the two would be like comparing a fingerpainting to Picasso. The walls were painted a lovely pink and peach color. Instead of traditional paintings on the walls were picture frames with moving pictures. The portraits almost seemed a live the way they moved in a repetitive motion, settling into some sort of pose.
The hallways and corridors were vast and spacious and as Orion glanced down he realized they were stepping on marble! Marble was expensive! Hearing Rekka and Aiden's responses to the castle Amber spoke up. "The castle was rebuilt after the war about 20 years ago." Amber filled them in.
Orion remembered that in his history lessons. The former castle had been destroyed in an attack on the city during the great war. It was one of the last battles fought.
Coming to a brief pause before the royal chamber, their guide told them to wait a brief moment. Opening the door and disappearing inside, if they were quiet enough they could hear whispers on the other side of the door. While Orion couldn't make out what they were saying Aiden, with his keen ears, might be able to pick up one of the guards mentioning how "he" wasn't going to be happy about visitors. The guard reappeared on the other side and it was then they entered.
What awaited them was more majesty. Chandlers hung from the sealing. A single red carpet led from the door to a semi raised section of the floor where three steps led to a raised platform. There four chairs sat in a single line about three or four feet apart. The two in the center were much larger and fancier then the other two on the side. Currently all four chairs were empty. Standing on the raised platform was a single individual. Dressed in all white a small golden crown sat on his forehead. The white of his clothing was a stark contrast to his black hair which was fashioned semi-long. He was perhaps only four or five years older than Damien or Orion.
Spotting him, Orion let out a small groan. He recognized that man. "What is this?!" The man asked. With chin held high he stepped from behind the king's chair and to the edge of the platform. "I was not told that I had a meeting today!"
The guard at their side stepped forward. "My Prince, these messengers bare a message for your father."
The Prince crossed his arms. "So you thought to trouble me with them instead of bringing the message to me directly because?..."
Bowing her head, the guard responded. "It is a message from the King of the Land of Dragons. They are his personal messengers and say that they will only deliver it to the king himself."
Watching the interaction, Amber noted how the guard stood nervously. She was not comfortable! Amber had never had a chance to meet with any of the royal family, and this was not what she had expected. She was lost for words!
"Preposterous! My father has given me authority to act in his stead. Which of you bares the letter? Hand it to me?" The Prince said. All this time he had not once looked at Amber, Rekka, Damien, Orion, or Aiden. In fact he hadn't even acknowledged their presence. Now that he addressed them he glanced only at them briefly.
Clearing her throat, Amber spoke up. "Your grace. My name is Lara, I am the Third Lieutenant of your grace's royal forces. I was instructed by the King of the Land of Dragons to give it to your father directly."
The Prince looked at Amber again. His eyes narrowed. Orion groaned again. "Were making cripples Lieutenant's now? Great. I'm going to have to have a word with that General. Listen you. I don't care what some foreign general told you. I am the king's..."
"I didn't know this was how you treat your guests Jareth." Orion interrupted.
Looking absolutely flabbergasted, the Prince looked over at Orion. His expression quickly turned to surprise as he squinted. "Prince Orion?! Is that you?!"
Standing tall an almost transformation took over Orion. Gone was the sagging shoulders, the tired walk, the readable face. In its stead was what could only be called a prince. Acting almost bored, Orion crossed his arms. "Indeed."
The prince stepped off the pedestal then and wandered over. "I'm so sorry Prince Orion. I had not seen you among the group. Had I know this was your entourage I would have made accommodations. But what are you doing along with the messenger?"
How was Orion to answer that one! Thankfully his training in lies and quick thinking was part of a prince's training. "I had been visiting the Land of Dragons when I came upon your shoulder. She was hurt in a battle there, sacrificing her leg to get this message to your father. I would like to deliver it personally to him."
Orion had him. The Prince could not turn down a request from Orion. Why? Because the relationship between the Enchanted Domain and Cornwell was a strong one. If Prince Jareth turned him down, he risked offending Orion and thus the relationship between their worlds.
"But surely you would like to get settled first. My father... is disposed at the moment. But! He should be able to see you briefly tonight. He is a... busy man. And will be... leaving soon." The Prince told them. The way he spoke, with pauses, made Orion guess that he was not telling them the full truth. But it would have to do.
"That should suffice."
Prince Jareth smiled. "Good!" Pausing he turned to their guide. "Take them to the sweet. Make sure they have everything that they need."

While they walked, Rekka could hear Orion state that this kingdom was different from his. No doubt, he was referring to the castle that Julian and Orion lived in. Rekka remembered their time there. The news they had learned of there had shocked Bartimaeus and the bard had intended to talk to him on the matter. Unfortunately, Bartimaeus never got the chance. Amber soon informed them all that this kingdom had been rebuilt after the war that took place twenty years ago.
"Huh, nice."
As they approached the lone figure that was standing in the throne room, Rekka could steadily feel the tension rising in the air all around them. When they got closer, she could hear whoever it was state that they hadn't been informed of a meeting. Aiden, who had sharp hearing, did hear the mention that someone wouldn't like company. Aiden didn't understand why but then again, Damien wasn't one for company either.
The group watched as the guard stepped before the member of the royal family. It had to be considering that he had a small crown planted upon his head. He also stood well and poised. Damien raised a brow at the stark contrast of the man’s hair compared to his attire. He had to be at least five or four years older than Damien and Orion. As the guard explained that they all bore a message for the king, things got spicy. He hadn’t even acknowledged them, speaking to his guard as if none of them were even there. Damien found himself a little annoyed by this. Then again, Damien wasn’t one for acknowledging people in the past either.
Aiden frowned at the man. Kane gently placed a hand on Aiden’s shoulder then and spared a meaningful look in Aiden’s direction. Aiden furrowed his brows as he looked up at the knight. What was he trying to convey to Aiden? Kane then turned his gaze over toward Amber and the prince. As Amber informed him who she was, the prince gave her a glare. What he said next made Rekka have a very difficult time not flaring up. She had to remind herself that she was holding Amber up.
”You…” Rekka growled but it was so low only Amber would have heard her. Already, she hated this prince. Aiden let out a gasp and Kane had to grasp the youth’s shoulder tightly. A wrong move, such as punching a member of the royal family in the face, was likely to cause wars between the worlds. Considering what happened in the Land of Dragons, they really didn’t need to war with their neighboring worlds when friendship and cooperation would benefit the survival of all.
Rekka glared back at the prince, finding it difficult to not yell at him or get flared up more as he continued. If Orion hadn’t interjected, Rekka might have caused them all trouble in a few more moments if there hadn’t been someone to interfere. Bringing her gaze behind her to where Orion stood, she heard him call the Prince, Jareth. ’Prince Jareth’s a jerk!’ Rekka thought grumpily. Maybe that’s why the royal family didn’t present themselves often because they thought of themselves above everyone else? Prince Jareth’s tune changed immediately when Orion had spoken. Jareth knew Orion from the looks of it and when it came to his equals, he was much more cooperative. Damien and Aiden both noted how Orion stood well and poised at that moment. It was as if he were back to that prince that he once was. Aiden paid close attention to the way that Orion spoke. What better way to learn how to act like royalty than to follow someone else’s lead who is of royalty?
Rekka found it hard to keep herself in check. The only thing that kept her from not exploding was the fact that she was supporting Amber’s ability to stand right now. If she flared up she would risk injuring Amber. On top of it, she would risk their only hope for now. No, she left the talk to Orion. He seemed like he knew what he was doing. Jareth apologized for the way he acted before asking what Orion had been doing with them.
Damien wondered how Orion was going to answer that question Prince Jareth had asked him. Thankfully, Orion was quick on his feet. He provided an explanation, stating that Amber had been injured in the process of bringing the message to the king that ruled here. It wasn’t long before Orion requested that he present the message to the king personally. Damien knew right then that Orion had Jareth there. No royal member that had friendly ties with another would risk breaking that relationship unless they wanted a war on their hands.
It wasn’t long before Prince Jareth suggested that they should want to get settled first. According to Jareth, his father would be able to see them only briefly tonight since he was a busy man and would be leaving soon. However, the way that Jareth said it made Damien crease his brow in thought. Was Jareth lying? Or was he refraining from telling them the whole truth because he didn’t want to risk the full truth getting out about the situation with his father?
As Orion stated that the rest would suffice, Jareth paused before turning to his guard and telling her to lead them to the suite and to ensure that they had everything that they needed. With that, they were lead out of the throne room. As soon as they were out, Rekka hoped that the king was much nicer than his son. If his son took the helm in his father’s stead they were screwed.
”Wow, Orion! That was amazing!” Aiden stated.
[coor=cyan]”Quiet, Aiden. We can speak later.”
”But Damien!” Aiden whined but Damien just shook his head as they followed the guard all the way to the suite. ”We will ensure your stay is comfortable. Servants will be here soon to attend to your needs while you are here. Have a good night.” With that, the guard bowed and left after opening the door for them. [/blockquote]

The room that they prepared for them was more than sufficient for their needs. It was one of the suites, a perfect place for a prince to get situated. Entering in first, Orion waited for everyone to enter and then he closed the door.
"What a snot nose prick! Amber spoke up. A quick temper, it wasn't too odd to hear her speak up about Prince Jareth.
Crossing his arms, Orion's unreadable demeanor diminished. "Prince Jareth can be a bit... uncaring to those who are below his stature. Orion put mildly. Growing up Orion and Jareth had often cross paths. Jareth was the type of prince who loved power. He saw himself above everybody. There was a time when even he and Julian had gotten into an argument, and Julian never fought anybody!
Thinking about his brother, Orion wondered what became of him. Was he alright? He had seen him by that elf's side before. "What happened to you?..." He wondered.
Amber on the other hand was still furious. She had expected... Well she hadn't really known what to expect when coming to the castle, but one thing for sure was that she had not expected that Prince Prick! How was someone like him a prince?! The Royal Family had always been known for being kind and just. They said the King treated every citizen like he was their grandfather. It was just such a stark contrast from the picture painted and the person she had met. And he had even mocked her leg!
If it hadn't been for... "Your a prince!" Amber said to Orion. Why hadn't he told them that earlier?! He could have gotten them through all this a lot quicker. Amber had a feeling that their new acquaintances were keeping secrets, and this confirmed it!
Orion was taken a back by the sudden acquisition. "Er well... I was. It's not known but I sort of gave up my family name." Orion tried to explain.
Amber, who had taken a seat on an available chair so that Rekka didn't have to worry about continuing to hold her up, look to Damien. "And what about you?! Any other secrets I should know about?"

Orion, as soon as they reached the suite, stepped in first. Damien followed after, relieved to get rid of the act he had as a ruse. He felt ridiculous with his hair slicked back. When they were well inside, with the door closed, it had been Amber to speak first. Her's was a fiery outburst about how Prince Jareth was a prick. Damien could agree with her. He did look down upon them and that's if he even took in their appearances. The only one he showed respect was Orion. It had been a lucky thing Orion had been with them and this world knew nothing of what Orion had done.
"He was a real jerk! It's a lucky thing that I had to support you, Amber, and he spoke up when he did because I almost exploded." She wasn't exactly proud of it either. Rekka knew what happened when she got explosive and it wasn't pretty. If she had, not only would Amber have been hurt but that would have blown their chances with the royal family and Rekka would end up in jail for what she did. It had been a very lucky thing Orion spoke up when he did.
It didn't take long before Amber finally rounded on the boys. Rekka turned to them after helping bring Amber over to a chair so that she could sit down. It became clear that Amber wasn't skipping a beat with them. If Orion had been a prince then it just confirmed who he was. This was Julian's brother and the prince that Bartimaeus had wanted to talk to. "You're the one Bartimaeus wanted to speak with but you weren't there, so instead, we met your brother where you used to live." Rekka suspected what the reason could be about what Bartimaeus had wanted to talk to Orion about. She remembered the bard discussing with Julian, while the women had been in the room, about what happened.
Aiden looked between Orion, Amber and Rekka before Amber turned on Damien next. She might have been sitting but Aiden found her to be rather scary. She definitely wasn't a lady to mess with. They were lucky right now that she was planted on her seat for the time being. Damien, who had been busy ruffling his hair to let it drop back down to normal, only paused when Amber spoke to him. He gave her a flat look.
"If I had any, what makes you think I'd tell you all of them right away just because you demanded them?" Damien retorted coolly. "You don't hear me demanding to know what dark secrets you keep, do you?" Rekka let out a sigh as she brought a hand up to her face. Planting her forehead right into her palm, Rekka knew what was coming. It was a damn lucky thing Amber couldn't reach where Damien was right now or she had a feeling the blond would have tackled him right then and there. Amber would have pummeled him.
"Here we go..." Rekka murmured. Aiden, sensing danger, hid behind Kane who looked like he wasn't even bothered by what was going on. As far as he was concerned, he had nothing to do with the squabbles between the young men and women. Although, he was mildly reminded of Leia. The memory brought an unpleasant lurch in his stomach. How had she been? Did she escape the water in time? Did she even survive the battle that long? Had she gotten any survivors out of there? There was no way of telling since the Land of Dragons was practically destroyed. If they went back now it would be too dangerous. Kane had to keep focused and ensure Aiden's safety.

Amber had enough of this! First her leg. Then the nasty prince. Now Damien! Honestly, why did everyone have to keep on bothering her. She was just trying to protect everyone! There was obviously secrets being kept, and Damien was just being plain rude! Well at least that was how she saw it. Truthfully Damien had every right to his secrets. But to Amber, she took his defiance as a sign of distrust. Not only that but add everything that had happened on top of it and you got someone who was ready to blow her top a long time ago. Unfortunately Damien happened to just be the person she was about to let "loose" on.
"You snot nose!" Standing up Amber walked right over to Damien. She grabbed him by the shirt and pulled his face down to her level. (Given that Amber was only about five feet and five inches she had to pull pretty hard.) Luckily her anger was fueling her and doing much more. Unknown to her, on her hip a kanji letter was glowing, letting out a brown glow. Naturally activating her abilities, Amber had actually caused the marble on the ground to sprout up when she had stood up. It formed what was missing of her left leg and took the shape of a stone leg. When she had moved her now marble floor had moved with her. While never leaving the ground it had solidified and then loosened repeatedly as she had moved forward, allowing her to lean on it like a regular leg.
Of course Amber was so lost in anger she hadn't realized she was doing any of this. When she had grabbed Damien her power had been infused with the power of earth, and had caused a black armored gauntlet to form on her arm. This was the only piece of armor to appear though. "Now you listen! I'm trying to protect you guys and your sitting here keeping secrets! You want to end up dead! Like Tiger! Like Scotty! Like Kalie! Like that stupid Bard! I don't know a thing about any of you, and you expect me to protect you! Secrets are what got my friends killed! I won't do it!"
Amber had been shouting at Damien but as she had started talking about her feelings had started to drip from her eyes of her own accord. Slowly the red of her face had come to a crescendo and her expression began to change. It started with a quiver of her lip and just went from there. She went from holding Damien by the shirt to scream in his face to her suddenly griping onto him more from support. "I can't... I can't loose another one." She was no longer screaming now nor was her eyes locked on Damien. She was looking down at the ground. "I can't watch another friend die."

Rekka's eye widened as Amber got up. Aiden gaped at her, eyes wide. "Uh oh!" he exclaimed as Amber called Damien a snot nose. The look in her eyes spoke volumes. Damien, on the other hand, remained unperturbed. That is, until she actually closed the distance between them. Damien was more so surprised rather than fearing for his life at this point as Amber pulled him down. It took her a lot of effort to do so but eventually, Damien found himself face to face with the furious blond woman. In fact, they were too close for his comfort. Even though Amber was furious with him, it was very awkward for Damien to be this close up to someone else's face.
"Er...don't kill him?" Rekka stated meekly, most likely going unheard throughout the whole exchange. Well, more so the outburst from Amber than anything else. What happened next, after giving Damien an earful, Amber started to break down! Damien's surprise went into further surprise as Amber started to cry. Instead of pummeling him, she released his shirt collar so that he could stand up to his full height again and now resorted to using him as support while she sobbed.
"Aw, you made her cry, Damien!" Aiden said accusingly. Damien frowned over at the teenager but his attention was dragged back over to Amber as she cried on. What the hell was he suppose to do? He wasn't one for comforting. Still, he wasn't about to be more of an ass now that the girl was crying. Her gaze was cast downward as she stated that she didn't want another friend to die. It...made him feel bad. Maybe he was a bit of a jerk?
Awkwardly, Damien brought a hand up and gently pat Amber's upper back as if to try and be comforting or reassuring. "Um...it's...alright. We're...not going to die..." he trailed off. How the hell did he get into this mess? This was really awkward for Damien. He didn't often comfort others so this was a new experience for him. He even looked over at the others as if to ask them for help. When none came, he let out a silent sigh before focusing on Amber again.
"I'm...sorry..." Damien added, genuinely but awkwardly as he kept patting her. Even if Damien could be a jerk, he wasn't an evil person. Well, not anymore anyway.
Rekka would have snickered at the look on his face but she was more so feeling bad for Amber. 'Well, at least she's not killing Damien!' Rekka thought. She would have alerted Amber to the fact that she suddenly had a leg form that was supporting her but Amber was busy breaking down. "Uh...Amber? You um...you've got a...stone leg?" Rekka stated, pointing at it.

Orion had been as surprised as everybody the way Amber had rushed over to Damien. The way she yelled at him and even grabbed his shirt and pulled him down was a shock that Orion hadn't expected. Caught up in the moment he did not notice Amber's leg right away either. It wasn't until the girl started breaking down that Orion found himself trying to get away from the scene. Like Damien, he wasn't big on women crying.
Bartimaeus used to always say, "If a woman starts to cry that's never a good sign. If you can get the hell away. If not, you better make sure you stay out of her way. Woman's tears are women's business." Orion saw no reason not to heed the bard's advice.
Hearing Aiden interject that it was Damien's fault that Amber was crying, Orion could see why the teenager thought that way. It was an obvious connection. But sometimes obvious things aren't always the right things. It seemed to Orion that there was more to it then just the fact that Damien was being difficult.
Amber on the other hand fought to gain her emotions under control. "Damn it!" Her yelling had put a crack in her armor, and now everything was coming out. Amber attacked that crack like no tomorrow. "I can't. Not now."
Damien's patting helped. It was soothing, in its own way. By the time Rekka pointed out her leg, Amber's tears had mostly stopped. Clearing her eyes with a brush of her arm and glancing down she was surprised to see that her friend was right! Just when had that happened?!
Taking a step back, Amber found she was able to walk with her stone leg. Watching it glide across the floor was a bit eerie. The leg didn't even disconnect from the ground when it moved. "Well this is different." She said.
Amber retreated back to where she had sat before. Taking a seat, her stone leg melted. It returned back to the floor leaving not a trace of its existence behind.
"That's an interesting ability." Orion commented. In a way he was trying to ease the situation a little.
Amber nodded. "Look guys. We have some time before we go see the king. With the battle and rushing here there hasn't been much of a chance for any of us to really get to know eachother. So I say we start. My name is Orion. I was the former heir to the throne of the Enchanted Domain. I've been traveling with Damien and Aiden here for a while now, tracking the Order of the Destroyer."

Damien felt really awkward. He wasn't sure what to do and he wasn't very good at comforting anyone. When Aiden had accused him of the fact that he had caused Amber to cry, Damien gave the teenager a disgruntled look. Surely, it wasn't just him being a jerk. If anything, it was his being a jerk that caused Amber to lose control over the rest of the emotions she had been feeling at the time and it all came out after that. He felt sort of stupid, patting her gently but it seemed to be working. Eventually, Amber had stopped crying.
It was a relief to Damien that Amber had stopped. When Rekka changed the subject, pointing out the leg, Amber focused her attention on that. Damien looked down toward her leg too and raised his brows. It were as if she were connected to the earth and was glued to the ground. She couldn't lift it off the ground from what it looked like.
"Wow, it looks like some kind of sticky goo is hanging onto the foot!" Aiden commented. Now that he said it, it looked like it. Amber eventually released Damien and retreated back over to her own seat. When she had set herself down, Damien was relieved that Orion took the lead in conversation now. It kept Damien from doing anything else stupid. He gave a nod in agreement to what Orion had said about Amber's ability. It looked like she had just discovered it but it was still cool.
Then, Orion turned the subject onto the fact that they had a while yet before they would see the king. It was time for them to get to know each other. Damien didn't like where this was going. Orion began with the fact that he was a former prince of the Enchanted Domain who was tracking the Order of the Destroyer. They certainly had been traveling a while together. Oddly enough, Damien felt a sort of bond with the other two. He saw them, strangely, as friends which was something new to him since he hadn't made friends before. Not like this, anyway.
When it was Rekka's turn, she wasn't exactly sure what to say about herself. "Well, my story's not as interesting but...I come from Radiant Garden. I came to cure my mother of her illness and it's here in Cornelia that I came. I seek revenge for the death of my father, whom saved me when I got this injury." Rekka indicated the eyepatch over her eye. "I joined up with the forces here in Cornelia, thanks to a friend of Amber's and Amber. I've been with Amber ever since. Bartimaeus had been a part of our group for quite a while..."
Aiden bit his lip as he rubbed the back of his head awkwardly. How was he to introduce himself? "Well, my name's Aiden Wilder. I've been with Orion and Damien for a while too. Along the way, I got injured and turned into this in order to save me from bleeding to death. My brother...he used to run the Dojo. Apparently, my uncle and aunt were the king and queen there and with them and their children dead, as well as my mother and brother, I'm the last surviving member of the Wilder royal family."
Kane gave a nod to confirm this. "I am Kane, a knight in service of the royal family. Even with the king and queen dead, I serve those of the royal family until my dying breath. I am going to aid Aiden as best I can. He is our last hope for when the time comes to go back to the Land of Dragons." The knight gave a bow, which oddly enough, still made him taller than the others around him.
Then, it was Damien's turn but he simply folded his arms and looked away. The others could introduce themselves but he couldn't. Not without the other two and maybe even Kane wanting to kill him or capture him. Aiden walked over and tugged on Damien's arm, frowning up at him. Damien was always avoiding the truth. "Come on, Damien. We all said who we are...now it's your turn." Damien let out a low sigh before facing the other two, his expression hardening.
"Alright...fine." Damien walked over to the rest, crossing his arms. This might likely start a fight. If it came to that, he wasn't beyond portaling out of the room to avoid an unnecessary one. If he brought them here and out of danger, he wasn't a foe. If they chose to think of him as one then so be it. This would be the deciding factor. "I am Damien...well, was Damien Quentin. The son...or rather, the adopted son of Ivan, one of the four heads of the Order of the Destroyer." He kept his gaze fixed on Kane, Rekka and Amber then. "My real name is Damien Stark, not born of the bloodline of Darius Quentin but the bloodline of his sister, Ivory Quentin. I hail from a long line of assassins, not keyblade wielders. I am a former member of the Order of the Destroyer having served just a step below the Four Heads. I can understand others wanting to capture and interrogate me...if you prove to be those types, then so be it. I will not harm you but I will not simply let you capture me."

It hadn't been Orion's intention to place Damien in a position where he had to reveal information about himself. He had merely been trying to ease the situation. It had been pure circumstance that people began to reveal their intentions. At least that was how he saw it. Hearing Rekka, and then Aiden's explanation it had come down to Damien. What would he say?
Damien did not disappoint. He revealed the very thing it seemed he had been trying to hide. Heck he seemed to try and hide his tie to the Order everywhere he went. It was something that Orion couldn't really understand. While he could feel for what it must be like to have such a brand on you, he could not really understand it from an experiential point of view.
Still Orion was glad he shared. If it really did come down to blows, Orion would not let Amber or Rekka capture Damien. Damien was his friend, and Orion would protect him.
Surprisingly Amber did not respond to Damien's comment. Instead she took her turn, as the last of them, to introduce herself. Her eyes locked with Damien as she spoke. "While I lived her, I went under the name Lara. I served as the third lieutenant in his royal majesty's army and had served as a division commander and captain before that. However, my real name is Amber Firyin. I am a half-elf, one of the few to be born in the last century. I am also the daughter of the Emperor, Lakari. The one who probably is behind all of this mess."
Amber let out a sigh. Orion just blinked. She was the daughter of that elf?! Well that hadn't been expected. "If I went to capture you, I'd be nothing but a hypocrite." She told Damien.
Orion glanced at his friend. How would he respond?

Damien knew Orion didn't mean to sink him into a tight corner. At this point, Damien just threw it all out the window. If they chose to chase them, then so be it. It's not like it was a must for the three of them to be there. If the need be, Damien would leave. If the others wanted to come, he'd take them with him. Silently, he waited for the reaction he would get now that they knew what he was.
Rekka's eyebrows rose a bit but she didn't make a move for Damien. Instead, she looked to Amber whom had locked eyes with Damien. She heard Amber reveal that she went under the guise of Lara. Although she served the royal family here, she was the daughter of the Emperor Lakari. According to Amber, if she tried to capture Damien then she would be a hypocrite. Once Amber revealed all of that, Rekka turned her gaze onto each of the boys. What would they think or do? Like Orion would protect Damien, Rekka would protect Amber from the boys.
There was an awkward silence before Damien seemed to ease down. Where it was a shock this girl was related to Lakari, he guessed that she was in a similar predicament. She was just like him in a way. The two of them had relatives, whether they were related by blood or not, that neither of them wished to have any association with.
"Hmph, seems we both have relatives we;d rather not be associated with."
Aiden looked between the two before deciding what to say to Amber and Rekka. "You both seem fine to me. I think we can be friends!" he said cheerfully. Maybe a little too cheerfully for someone that had been moping some time ago. Kane gave a respectful nod.
"It is not who we were raised by or who we were born from that makes us who we are. It's the actions that we do and how we act that decides who we are."
Rekka gave a smile. Well, at least now they won't be enemies. "Well, guess this means we're friends then. Good, I could use no fighting for a change." With that, Rekka took a seat near Amber as she looked back at the other four. "Hopefully, the king will figure things out and we'll know what to do from here. I wouldn't want our journey to be all for nothing and the deaths all for nothing either!"

Orion was glad to see the situation was finally winding down. Aiden had it right. They probably could all be friends. None of them had a clue as to when they would be seeing the king. For now they had time to spare. It was a welcome relief from the usual rushing, chasing, running, fleeing, attacking, being attacked, etc. that had become the norm of their days.
It wasn't too long before the same guard from before arrived, and with her a number of people baring food of all sorts for them. When Prince Jareth instructed that they were to be taken care of he had really meant it. Orion judged that the amount of food that the servants had brought in was probably enough for all of them to eat breakfast, lunch, and dinner!
Orion thanked the guard and told her to send his regards to Prince Jareth. He also made sure to add, "Be sure to tell Jareth we are looking forward to conversing with his father soon." It was best not to let Prince Jareth think that he could prolong their meeting. The food was surely welcome, but he wasn't about to let the prince forget the reason that they came.
Reluctantly the guard agreed to pass on his message. (In fact the guard seemed to absolutely recoil from hearing that she would have to have to return those words to the prince).
"How's the shoulder, Orion?" Amber asked Orion.
Truthfully his shoulder was a constant dull ache. The wound may have been stitched, but it was only a couple of hours ago that the wound had been caused. It still ached. "Manageable" He told her with a fake smile.
Buying his words, Amber smiled and nodded before taking some more food. "Actually I was wondering if you two could tell me a bit about how you guys ended up traveling with Bartimaeus. He was my mentor growing up back at the Enchanted Domain." He asked Rekka and Amber.
Watching Amber glance over at Rekka for a moment she nodded. "Sure. We can do that." And that was how it was that Orion passed the time. He listened to the story that Rekka and Amber told. It seemed fate that as their story ended the guard returned.
"His majesty is ready to see you now. If you will follow me." She told them.

Rekka hadn't sat down for very long when the guard had gotten them servants and food. Rekka, not accustomed to eating a lot, raised her eyebrows. It was just like Infusca's home almost. Where there was so much food that they couldn't possibly finish it all. In a way, it was a waste of food but Rekka supposed this was how the luxurious ones lived. This was their normal, it seemed.
As soon as the servants were done placing their food down, Orion spoke directly to the guard, stating that they were looking forward to speaking with the king. It seemed that the guard was scared to relay that information. In a way, it was a good thing that Orion made sure to mention that fact. No one seemed to notice the change of Damien's appearance from the ridiculous one to the normal one. It seemed that the lady who tried to capture them hadn't notified everyone which had been a good thing.
When the people left, they were left to their own devices. Damien was finally able to relax as he took his own seat and began to eat along with the rest. As Amber asked Orion how his shoulder was doing, Aiden made an exclamation about all of the good. "Man, how do they expect us to eat all of this?" Kane just shook his head at Aiden. The boy still didn't understand the way things worked.
It didn't take long for conversation to start. Orion was curious on how the two women met Bartimaeus. At this point, Rekka and Amber both knew that the bard wasn't what he said he was and had a lot of stories about himself. It was a real wonder if they would ever find out who the real Bartimaeus was. As Amber looked over at her, Rekka gave a nod as well before Amber said that they could do it. The conversation passed a lot of time, surprisingly. By the time they were finished, the guard had returned for them stating that the king would now see them.
All of them got to their feet and went to the door. Damien chose to follow last so that if anything happened, he had a clear view of what was happening ahead and would be the first to know if something was happening from the rear.
"Well, here we go, Amber." Rekka walked alongside her friend in case she needed support walking as they followed the guard.

Orion took the lead of the procession. Heading the group he followed the guard as he took them back the way they had come originally. "The king will meet you in the throne room. The Prince wishes me to remind you that his majesty's free time is short. So please keep the meeting brief."
Following along, Amber was busy focusing on her leg. It amazed her the way it just glided along the floor as she moved. She didn't need to lean on Rekka anymore to walk. Now she was free to walk beside her. "I wonder what would happen if someone stepped on it?" She asked herself. Would it hurt? Would she feel it? Part of her wanted to find out, but she was also cautious. She wanted to be careful. She didn't want to loose her foot again.
"Let's hope his majesty is a bit nicer than Prince Prick." She said to Rekka under her breath in response to the comment. She didn't speak too loud, only loud enough so that Rekka and maybe Aiden might have been able to hear.
Coming to a stop before the doors to the throne room again, the guard paused. "Please wait her just a moment." Opening the doors she disappeared for just a brief moment before opening the door and allowing them to enter.
Inside the throne room the kind awaited. He was an elderly man, with wrinkled skin, long gray hair, and a long gray beard that stretched down to his chest. He wore a purple robe that was lined with golden trim. On his head sat a golden crown. As the group neared, Orion could see that the king was very pale. There were bags under his eyes, and he looked sickly skinny. If Orion didn't know any better he would have guessed that the king looked ill. "That would give explanation to why Prince Jareth is ruling the kingdom."
The king spoke up. His voice, that of an elderly man's, seemed strong despite his sickly state. "Prince Orion, it is good to see you again. Tell me how fare's your father?"
Stepping forward Orion bowed to the king. "Your majesty." Raising his head up from the bow he continued. "My father fares well."
The king smiled. "That is good to hear. My son tells me that you have accompanied one of my soldiers, and that they have a message for me?"
It was Amber's turn to step forward. "Your majesty, I am the third lieutenant of your royal army. I bare a message from the late King of the Land of Dragons."
Arching his eyebrows, the king asked, "The late king?" Signaling for the guard to approach Amber, she handed the letter over to her. The guard walked up to the king and handed him the letter. Opening it the king raised the letter close to his eyes as he read the letter. "I...see..." He said as he dropped it down. "The letter speaks of nothing as to the king's passing. What do you mean the late king?"
Taking a deep breath, Amber began to relay all that had occurred at the Land of Dragons. She spoke about the meteor that had attacked the city and how the Order of the Destroyer had led an attack on the world. At some points she turned the story over to Orion, Damien, and Rekka, who told of the story from their point of view about what had occurred after Amber had been placed in the portal.
While the king listened his fingers drummed against the arm of his throne. His expression turned increasingly troubled as the story continued. "So not only has the Order of The Destroy not only openly attacked a world they have a keyblader behind them. And you believe that the keyblader is the elf who had proclaimed himself the Emperor of the Universe, Lakari?"
Orion nodded. "I do your majesty. He proclaimed himself as the Emperor returned."
The king paused. He seemed lost in thought for a brief moment. "The Order of the Destroyer has been a throne in the world for quite some time now. I had heard that they had been raising up in every world, but I never expected them to come together as you say they did. We had decided that each of us would deal with the Order of the Destroyer in our world on our own at the suggestion of your father, Orion. If the Emperor truly has returned then the Order might have been under his command all along. Perhaps he was this "destroyer" that they preached of. Regardless this is troublesome. Jareth."
The Prince had been by his father's side the entire time. He stood behind his father, almost like a protective guardian, staying quiet and listening to the conversation. Stepping forward he went to one knee and bowed to his father. "Father." He responded.
Placing a hand on his son's shoulder the king said, "Contact the King of the Enchanted Domain, the Mayor of Twilight Town, and the Elder of Elfenhiem by phone. Tell them this message. The Blue Jay invokes the right of communion. Once you have done this I want you to instruct the staff to prepare the castle."
The Prince rose. "I will father, but what should I tell the staff to prepare for?"
The king said, "For royal guests. I am calling a conference of the heads of the worlds. A decision must be made, and I cannot make it alone. Now go."
Rushing off, the Prince walked right past their group as he headed out the door. He then turned back to their group. "Alright. I best have it from the beginning. All of it. Third Lieutenet, Prince Orion, and friends, you best tell me all that has happened. Spare no detail. The fate of the universe may hang on what you say."
The king then began to listen.

Orion took the lead of their group as they followed the guard. As the guard spoke, Jareth wanted to remind them that the king's free time is brief and that they should keep their meeting short. Well, that was understandable. As Rekka walked alongside Amber, she gave a nod of agreement to what she had said about hoping the king was nicer than Jareth. Everything now rested with their meeting with the king of Cornelia.
They all eventually came to a stop before the throne room's doors as the guard told them to wait a moment. Quietly, they remained until finally, the guard returned for them. Then, finally, the guard opened the door and let them into the throne room. As they entered, Rekka saw Jareth standing close to whom had to be none other than his father. The look of him though was rather unsettling. It looked as though he were on his death bed. In fact, he looked like her mother did. No wonder Jareth was made to rule in his father's place.
The king addressed Orion first. Despite how ill he looked, the king's voice was still strong of sound although elderly. Rekka stood beside Amber, keeping her silence. In terms of rank, she was below Amber, far below. She didn't have right to speak unless addressed so she kept silent. After a greeting between the royals, they got into business. The letter was brought before the king and after he read it, he questioned them on what they meant by the late king. Thus, Amber went into a long story about what happened, leaving Orion, Damien and Rekka to fill in their points o view on what happened when Amber was put through the portal for her safety.
Then, Lakari was confirmed to be the keyblader and the returned Emperor. What was said next about the Order of the Destroyer, Damien knew not all of it to be true. Where they were working with Lakari, there was no evidence of Lakari prior. The elf just simply appeared, taking Ivan with him that time when Damien and Orion had first fought Ivan. It was hard to hold his tongue then. Damien didn't want to reveal to royal members of what he was. If they knew, they'd probably want to capture him or claim him to be a spy of some sort. Either way, where he revealed who he was to the group he was a part of, he couldn't admit what he was. They had no idea that there was something worse other than Lakari.
Then, the king spoke to Jareth to communicate with the other royals and heads of the worlds. That they were going to have a meeting. Once that was settled, just before Jareth would leave, the group was instructed to tell everything from the beginning. How troublesome for one such as Damien. How was he to say what he was? How he became a part of it? No, he chose to let Orion speak first and figure out things from there. Aiden, even, glanced in Damien's direction since he knew how hard it must be for him. Would he end up having to reveal what he was again? This time, would it be even safe to admit what he was?
Then again, the fate of the worlds hung in the balance. With Damien, things might be easier since he knew the Order of the Destroyer. When it came to Damien's turn, he breathed. "Alright, I'll tell you." Thus, so started Damien's story. Aiden looked around almost worriedly. They could easily be turned on. Rekka remained poised. In her good eye, she too, watched for signs of hostility. Kane remained indifferent, although he didn't look it he was watchful.

As all of their stories began to unfold, the king sat by quietly listening to it all. Beyond the king, two guards at the base of the platform and two guards at the foot of the door, no one else entered the room. For the most part the king simply listened except for a few occasions when he asked for them to clarify on something they said.
Even when Damien shared his story, the king seemed to pass no judgment. If it was an issue that he was the son of a head or a former member of the Order the king did not say so. Only when Damien's story came to a close did he speak to them.
"I want to thank you all for sharing your stories. You have given me a lot of information to ponder. I would first like to reassure you all that so long as you are in my city and under my roof no harm shall befall you. I cannot speak for the other rulers, but as far as I am concerned what occurred in the past is the past. Now is the time to think of the present and future. I would like all of you to attend the conference of rulers. I will ask you to share your stories with the kings and rulers, so that they too may know what has transpired."
The king had to pause then to catch his breath. He had been sitting there for quite some time now, and Orion now began to wonder if the reason he had not questioned them more was because of his current state. He obviously looked sickly.
"I have no problem with sharing my story, your majesty." Orion said.
Amber too stepped forward to respond. "Nor do I."
When they had all responded the king nodded. "Thank you. Now if you excuse me, I must see to preparations. I plan to hold the conference on the morrow, with your family and the Mayor's entourage arriving tonight. I give you freedom to wander the castle, but I ask that you please stay within the castle gates for the time being."
Orion saw no problem with this so he agreed. Amber, while she had wanted to visit the barracks, was not about to deny the king anything. She too agreed.
With their meeting coming to a close the king asked one of the guards to escort them back to the suite.
