"Twilight Town," was some random passerby's response when Saya asked where she ended up. Unsure of what to make of the scenario Saya parted from the helpful stranger only replying with a thank you before walking as far up as the paths allowed. Walking up what seemed like an endless hill Saya had a while to ponder what could have possibly happened; after acknowledging her abilities as abnormal it was only a matter of time before the paranormal became her norm. Although Saya already predicted for things to become complicated in her future, no matter how much thought she applied to her current scenario she couldnt wrap around the idea of being in a geographical unknown. Saya may not have been the greatest geography student in the world growing up but an area with a name like "Twilight Town" she knew at some point she would have passed by while on Tour.
"Maybe a parallel universe?" Saya thought to herself influenced by what she constantly overheard when kids spoke about comics in her world. Its was the only logical conclusion Saya could arrive to before setting her eyes on the view outside of Sunset Station. Saya found herself staring off into a frozen horizon unlike anything she ever saw as though life discovered its own beauty and wanted to keep the moment forever like a photo.
Regardless of how infinite the moment seemed the wind seemed unyielding as Saya's hair fluttered and her lungs filled with air, inspiring Saya to sing. Without missing a beat in the moment Saya immediately sung into the wind as it carried into the buildings and splashed into the world around her. It sounded as though an Opera singer with a swaying voice arrived and immediately gushed at the environment. If one listened carefully during extended notes it sounded as though it was being carried by humble orchestra.
As Saya's talent filled the scene her body moved as if in tune performance as she moved closer and closer to the edge of the platform. Once the what sounded like the peak of her song approached Saya climbed over the edge with arms out toward the horizon; Only for everything to settle down as she lay her body across the edge with her arms straight over her head. Finally with the end of her song she took a deep breath letting it out with a chuckle before returning her glistening gaze toward the horizon as her clothes draped over the edge.
"Lets make the best of it," were Saya's resting words.

While Evia had merely been walking to her personal dwelling at the time, she suddenly heard something exceptional in the distance. She wasn't far away from the station herself, so the singing was faint but definitely clear enough to tell just how unnaturally good it was. She's known of the concept of singing before, she had never been too interested in manipulating her voice herself without having the immediate need to, but this was something phenomenal. She was curious.
Diverting her path, the armored girl wold make her way to the station to see the source of this fascinating noise. Unfortunately for the singing girl, Evia was more interested in the physics behind it, more of the 'how' such a performance could be made, than she was in the person making it themselves. She definitely had some interest in the singer's appearance though Evia was never interested in actual people unless they had something to offer her. Well... maybe she didn't need to sing before hand, but if she could sound like that, it would be very interesting. Being told in the past that singing was about breath control, the girl believed she already had plenty with her training, but someone who could sing that well may have a thing or two she could have in store.
All the more reason to check it out. Upon arriving, Evia hung out just out of sight at the corner of the station, watching the girl finishing her song and end up at the far ledge of the cliff side, laying down. Was she... okay? Was this normal for her? She knew it was customary to complement someone's performance before asking how it was done, so the first step was to approach her and offer praise. It might seem awkward since she didn't seem to be putting much effort into it, but she did still sound sincere even if vaguely. It was only because she was not very good at interacting with people without much purpose, and this was a vague curiosity at best.
"Hello. I heard you from afar. You are an exceptional singer. Are you okay, though?" Seemed like a weird question to ask after the compliment, but she wanted to make sure the girl had laid out on the ground of her own volition before prodding into the roots of her technique.

Although Saya was enthralled by her current position on what seemed to be the apex of the world she couldnt avoid noticing the shuffling of leather and plates coming from somewhere behind her. When Saya turned around she found an armored lady coming toward her. Considering that the previous fellow she spoke with wasnt dressed as close to the Renaissance as this new comer was Saya drew the conclusion that she wasnt thrown back in time and continued believing she was on another part of her world she never visited. Maybe the new person was a cosplayer? It would explain the weird attire on this single person.
Even as Saya examined the person approaching her, her eyes remained humble, noninvasive and inviting as an excitement of new possibility swelled up inside her. Saya may have been used to being approached by people who appreciated or even adored her music but it never stopped Saya from returning the love in some way. One thing that kept Saya at the top of the music business wasnt just her unrivaled ability, but her magnetic was of tones and general love for people. Without knowing who was approaching her, Saya already commended her boldness in cosmetic and life choices by greeting her with a warm smile before she even began speaking.
As soon the new comer expressed concern Saya's glowing expression faded as her eyes widened and she pondered her current physical position; although beautiful her songs could show some hint of sadness especially after being seen as literally living life on the edge. Without missing a beat Saya jumped back onto the platform almost as quickly as her previous expression could be noticed only to return to her previously warm smile with a touch of embarrassment.
"Oh thank you! Thank you!" Saya said gratefully though a nervous chuckle wishing she didnt start a likely admirer's first impression with concern for her idols well being, "Dont worry about me, I was just being... uh, eccentric would be nice but Im pretty sure you are thinking weird now huh?" Saya then reconsidered the fact that she was speaking to a woman nearly covered in armor as she said that only to feel even sillier after realizing everything is still ironically normal. "But now that you mention being okay, Im surprised more people didnt come out," Saya finally answered, "Most places I go to tend to have more people... especially for a town like this which looks like it may be holding a convention?" Saya commented as she pointed out Evia's attire, "I always loved hanging with people at those."

With a certain energetic bring, the young girl was right back on her feet and enthusiastically receptive about Evia's praise toward her. With that simply clarity out of the way she-- oh, well this was unexpected. She seemed to speak with a vibrant and expressive personality, not something unheard of to the armored girl, though she never expects people to be so driven to speak to others. She herself never sees the appeal, and is often bland in her conversation (though not completely robotic). It amused her to say the least, it looked like she was having fun and Evia didn't want to impede on that.
That didn't leave her without a little confusion though. Well, she could at least clear up the other girl's confusion before expressing her own though. "'Strangeness' is no foreign concept to me. When going from a world where magic is a fairy tale to one where it's commonplace, I've began believing that nothing is truly abnormal anymore." With that, Evia did let off a slight smile. She was glad she had the curiosity to investigate the singing now, she feel like she had much to learn from this young woman.
"as for the lack of others being present, this is a rather humble town. People are rarely in the streets unless there is a gathering or event. It's for safety's sake, unfortunately. But you mentioned a convention - I was not aware that there was any major assembly taking place. Do you have the details?" She sounded genuinely confused too. There was nothing going on, hence the lack of people out and about. There were Heartless after all, but at least with crowds, the positive energy usually keeps them at bay. At least, that's what she's been told. It was weird how the laws of this world worked.

Through Saya's innocent like questioning and demeanor she was slowly understanding more of what was happening to her. Although the concept of everyone having... wait, "Magic!?" Saya exclaimed eyes wide and completely surprised to hear the concept be used so freely as though seeing someone with their hair on fire is just a common thing. Well if magic was normal then the Knight had a point in things not being weird anymore which in an awkward way made Saya feel a lot better. Now Saya may never need to hide her true self in order to be accepted. Where Saya's manager would have sound equipment to hide Saya's real potential, she can now showcase herself as she pleases without fear of exposure or ridicule. Almost as quickly as Saya's eyes widened they dimmed as her face glowed with excitement.
The next thing to catch Saya off guard was the lack of a convention and the attire of the Knight, however, she already did mention them being in another world which explains a lot. Being in another world explains why people arent coming out to rejoice in her presence... but for safety's sake? The town generally seemed very peaceful for a curfew, like what is the worst that could happen? Saya didnt think some mugger regardless of hour would have the gall to approach two woman especially in a magical world and one clearly equip for anything. Even now when looking at the Knights smile and reflecting its glow back with her own, Saya felt safe.
"Well, Im not sure if there is any kind of convention," Admitted Saya rubbing the back of her head with one hand and shrugging the other arm with her hand up in the air. "To be honest I was just being ignorant thinking your attire had something to do with a sort of celebration from back in my world," Saya said finally clearing up her confusion before lowering one hand in order to shake the Knight's. "Either way, my name is Saya and this 'world' still sounds like a fairy tale completely foreign to me... but exciting!" Saya burst out as she jump a little in place. A world filled with magic? Even as Saya's mind currently went from wall to wall attempting to grasp the possibilities, she couldnt begin to appreciate it all yet.

With the other girl's sudden exclamation at the mention of magic, Evia's curiosity would only grow stronger. She seemed aware of its existence at least, but to what degree? Was she like Evia in that magic was simply fictional before, or was she familiar with its possibility but drastically underexposed? Without any more information, those were the only two assumptions she could imagine, if it was something else entirely the armored girl would have absolutely no clue, but she thought they were good guesses. It wasn't too important what the girl's experience with magic was however, but it did make the conversation more interesting.
What was important was the girl's addressing of Evia's armor. She must not have been from this world, or any of the ones closely connected to it, similarly to Evia's home world. By thinking her gear was just for show probably meant that she was brutally unaware of the monsters that plagued these areas called Heartless, and the many possibilities of those powerful enough to control them existing. A little guesswork was thrown out of the window when Saya explicitly stated this world being foreign, but that opened up many dangers as well. The armored girl didn't believe in leaving her alone for much longer until she was made aware of the possibilities.
"I'm Evia. Pleasure to meet a traveler so talented." She took the girls hand, the metal of her gauntlet probably feeling pretty cold and heavy for Saya. "As for my attire, being ready at any moment to have an encounter with the monsters of these worlds is no cause for celebration. It seems to me you are not from around here. Do you believe you would like some assistance? I can show you a place where you can stay while visiting if you do not already have one." Her speech was formal and direct, which might put the happy-go-lucky-ness of the girl off a little bit. She seemed so cheery and enthusiastic, which Evia enjoyed, but she also seemed ignorant of the many concepts of these worlds that she needed to know. She wouldn't ask right away, but Evia was definitely curious if she had a way to defend herself. She's seen many travelers who were perfectly capable yet wore ordinary clothes, and it would be dreadful to assume right away whether or not she was one of them.

"You flaaaah!-" Saya stumbled forward bit after making contact with Evia's hand and shaking afterward. Saya couldnt help but giggle as she shared her thoughts, "Here I thought the only things we were shaking were hands!" Although Saya joked about the handshake it still surprised her how someone could handle a consistent load like that for just in case purposes... in case?...? In case for what?! Back in her world the only people even nearly as dawned as Evia were members of the military but that would only be the case when they were on duty, most people even when walking around what appeared to be a simple town like this wouldnt be so protected.
Danger wasnt foreign to Saya, but monsters? With the mere mention Saya let out a nervous yet skeptical chuckle. As of yet Saya hasnt run into anything that would fall within the category of monster, then again she did just get swallowed into a world where magic was the norm. Who knows at this rate Saya may even get to see a Dragon! Considering her first friend is a Knight why wouldnt it be possible? Dragons and knights are like a package deal so it only made sense that dragons would be what Evia spoke of. But to consistently be on guard for dragons? After Saya's song a Dragon wouldnt be far behind especially since its not like she was quiet about her song and now that Saya thought about it the land didnt seem ravaged enough. So... if it appears like an accomplished Knight is concerned about monsters and the likeliness of a terror binding Dragon is still rather low what could have Evia on guard? Oh well, Saya really didnt want to dwell on it too long and really wanted to focus on the bright side which was already finding help! Definitely a good start for day one.
"A travelling buddy would be the best!" Saya replied without missing a beat as she dropped the hand shake in order to jump up with the exclamation of the word "best." Returning her excitement levels to normal Saya turned back to Evia as she began to level with her on a little embarrassing fact followed by her concerns. "I love your suggestion especially since you're right! I'm not from around here, so up until you mentioned it I had no place to fall back to. Also I have to admit, Im NOT the best camper." The last bit was whispered pass the back of her hand as though it was meant to remain secret between them. "And whatever the case is, strength in numbers right?! Ive got your back!" Saya excitedly expressed while jumping into a unstable and unimpressive fighting position, "Just lead the way!"

Having not understood the singer girl's little joke at all, Evia remained inexpressive. She was completely unsure of how to reply, so it left a bit of awkward silence between them. The armored girl wasn't worried about it, being quite used to minor moments like these as they came up quite often due to people underestimating just how lacking Evia's social experience is. Perhaps it's still possible for her to change, though currently she remains uncultured and naive. Oh well. She would have a much better time understanding her joy in finding a 'travel buddy'. Uh oh.
Perhaps Evia should watch how far she gets involved, she didn't want to girl getting too attached to the point where she would be impossible to shake off. She merely wanted to offer a bit of assistance, but by the way things were sounding, it might be a bit more permanent. On the other side, Evia has never directly dealt with someone so cheery and expressive; there was always someone else around more interesting for people like Saya to interact with while Evia sat on the sidelines, occasionally answering questions turned her way with the most direct answers possible. It seemed like she was going to have to put more effort into this one, with no one to save her from being the sole entity to respond to anything Saya says.
She couldn't help but crack a smile and even show obvious signs of stifling a giggle when the girl offered to cover her back. She was starting to like Saya more and more. Maybe it wouldn't be so bad. "I'm not sure about being your buddy having an agenda of my own, and I assure you there is no camping required, as I was intending to show you the way to the family-owned inn nearby." Evia gestured toward the path they would take, and started walking hoping the girl would follow. "And, I am curious, do you have a means of self-defense? It is unwise to assume you lack any skills simply because you appear unarmed." It was a simple question, stemmed mainly from her knowledge of keybladers who have the ability to call upon their weapon from the void beyond at will, whom wore no substantial armor usually. Evia cared enough about the girl to be concerned with her safety, and how she answered this next question would determine her approach to what kind of briefing she would give the girl in terms of a 'helpful hints guide' to visiting Twilight Town.
Speaking of which, what was her reason for commuting? As Evia mentioned earlier, there was major event taking place that she knew of. Perhaps she was simply traveling for the sake of it? It might be a little intrusive to inquire into the detail, though Evia wasn't aware of that social detail, though she was still aware that others always had the ability to not answer instead. "And, if you do not mind answering, what brings you here to Twilight Town?" Her voice resonated with genuine curiosity, unsure of what to expect as the answer.

There goes Evia attempting to be a spoil sport by not even referring to Saya as a buddy, almost at first glance Saya was recognizing Evia as a friend especially when considering how meeting someone makes them forever special as though intertwined with your own fate. Regardless of how much Evia wanted to dash the concept of being buddies with Saya, Saya already knew there would be no way she could ever forget her current Generosity and knew that at least within Saya's memory Evia would be immortal. Whether Evia wanted to admit it or not, she and Saya were definitely buddies even if not of the Travelling kind.
Replying to Evia's plan of going to an Inn Saya replied with the following still smiling as though ignoring Evia's mood killing comment. "Sounds like the perfect spot," Saya commented as she followed the leader gleefully toward their destination. Everything went perfectly smooth until Evia mentioned self defense which turned the normally cheery Saya into someone injected with true nervousness. "Uh... I still dont know what monsters you are referring to and I may not be as prepared as you are Ms. Knight but I have reasons to still not be concerned with said monsters," Saya admitted wishing the topic never came up. Even from her own world Saya could understand combat was sometimes unavoidable, however, it was never her favorite pass time like some sadist would admit. In fact nothing scared her more than having to use her abilities offensively especially after having seen people suffer from its use in addition to herself when not using her headphones.
"My music is my weapon," Saya added attempting to sugar coat the truth behind her potentially destructive powers. Even after revealing the source of her confidence Saya wouldnt be surprised at to how skeptical Evia may be for thinking things like Saya's song could be used offensively. Truthfully speaking, Saya would blindly hope that an occasion she would need use her powers to hurt anyone would ever arise but she also knew she would never let someone with her get hurt.
Saya let out a sigh of relief once it seemed as though Evia changed the topic not sure if she would further inquire about Saya's combat capability. Being able to return to her broad view of possibilities Saya's smile returned as she thought of the place she appeared in. Twilight Town definitely received the name for a reason and would forever hold a special place in her heart for the things she already witnessed in such a town, however, the truth is Saya didnt even know how she got there. "Normally when I come up on a town its for me to put on a concert... but I must admit that something has been really odd on my visit to this one," Saya stated still not entirely sure she could believe she was an entirely different world, "First of all I never heard of Twilight Town before today and Im not even sure how I got here!" Saya then recalled back to her childhood and how everything changed when someone said they could hear her silent song. To be honest Saya was starting to find humor in how her life began anew, someone she never knew she would meet heard her song. Overwhelmed by nostalgia Saya said, "At this point Im thinking its just the start of a new life, hehe, it wouldnt be the first time my life changed dramatically from one moment to another."

Without having been looking at her face while walking, Evia would miss the discontent from the girl from the lack of being referred to as a buddy. She really shouldn't take it personally, the armored girl took it upon herself to objectify their relationship from old habits. She merely saw this as a task to escort the girl to a place to stay and deliver all the necessary information she needed to know about staying here, making sure she was comfortable. There were absolutely no intentions of maintaining contact with her. However, with some newly exposed information, that might actually change. But, first things first.
"The monsters are called Heartless - they come in all shapes and sizes, appear out of thin air when you least expect them, and attack in groups. As an example, I wouldn't be too surprised if a bunch of oversized black bugs with beady yellow eyes interrupted our walk to the inn." She didn't want to paint the girl with unnecessary bouts of fear, but Evia wanted her to be prepared for anything. The Heartless attacks weren't as frequent as she might have made them out to be, but they existed, and it would be best if Saya was simply aware. The good news came when she admitted to have some sort way of engaging in combat.
Even if it wasn't conventional, her answer would suffice. After having seen all sorts of possibilities, while she was entirely curious how it worked, she wouldn't doubt the girl having 'music' for a weapon. That's probably why she had such an impeccable singing voice, and with this revelation that she could control it between it being lovely and apparently forceful enough to be an actual weapon, Evia gained new respect for this girl. not only was she talented, but in full control of those talents. "That claim fills me with curiosity, but I don't intend to fight you or make you demonstrate. You don't seem like the lying type." It was a simple gesture, but the root of it was respect.
The only real concern began to accumulate when Saya admitted that she wasn't even sure how she arrived. How does one simply not know such a simple fact? Were they asleep when the travel took place? She couldn't imagine an explanation for this one, unlike her mentioned 'powers' earlier. "I don't understand how it can be possible that you were transported somewhere without your knowledge. Do you have any amnesia, perhaps? Are holes in your memories frequent?" They seemed like legitimate questions, sure, but Evia was totally lost. Just... who was this girl? Where did she come from? ...Why Twilight Town?

(OOC: Sorry about not replying sooner, had Otakon all weekend! I cant help but feel like I would have written this differently if I did this sooner)
Unlike most girls of her appearance or outward expression, bugs never bothered Saya. Anything from beetles to spiders or anything that flew, insects were not one of Saya's fears so when Evia described them as oversized black bugs no inkling of worry injected her. Come to think of it bugs with yellow eyes would be nice move from the normal beady checkered eyes that have instilled so much non-sense fear into a select population. Could it be that Evia was just another stereotype girly girl afraid of insects? The thought came as soon Evia mentioned being interrupted by Heartless so Saya's chuckle, at the thought of Evia running from an ordinary bug or having to put on a full suit of armor to fight them hilarious, or just plain rude since Saya managed to chuckle at a serious warrior. As entertaining the thought of Evia scared of bugs may be it really did make Saya question how could something make Evia so... on edge? Since Saya just met Evia it was hard to tell if her way of being was her naturally or her on guard.
In reference to Saya's "demonstration" of ability her Saya was relieved to hear that Evia wouldnt test her or force anything neither of them could really control once it began. Sound, as beautiful as Saya may be able to make them was also a dreadful curse and the repercussions too great for casual demonstration. Wow... now that Saya thought about it, their conversation has mostly been about Saya's "ignorance" to how their world works and Saya's ability and application in self defense but now that she thought about it was Evia okay? Considering it was relatively illogical for concern, Saya couldnt help but question the effectiveness of Evia considering she didnt already display some magical prowess to strengthen the point of it commonly existing. "Thank you for respecting that Evia," Saya replied with a smile as she diverted her attention to the clouds again only keeping Evia's head in her peripheral, "But what about you? How are you so confident?"
Now that Evia mentioned Saya's sudden transportation, its true that the whole ordeal is awkward but thats the truth! Its not that Saya had any amnesia its just that everything seemed to have changed over night! One moment Saya was sleeping and the next was in Twilight Town. Wait a minute... was Saya really sleeping at night dreaming or was it just really Hazy with shifting shadows? Unknown to Saya her world was consumed by heartless and any strong willed people were scatter to neighboring worlds and the reason she didnt exactly know this was due to the timing of the attack. In most cases people would know about a heartless invasion but considering it literally happened overnight for those not directly involved in the conflict it seemed like only a slightly above average night.
"Evia, wouldnt it be humorous if I did have Amnesia but I wouldnt be able to say for sure because I wouldnt remember?" Saya joked through a light chuckle as something caught her eye returning her gaze to what was in front of them, "I dont have a history of Amnesia, but that does look familiar." At this point Saya stopped walking as she pointed at the dark spot that caught her eye. Not too long after Saya noticed the dark spot it began to tug at the ground as the shadow became three dimensional. Watching the creature come to life forced Saya to take a pause as she curiously observed every moment of its birth.
"Is that a heartless?" Saya asked still pointing at the creature as excitement grew in her voice, "How can they be so threatening? They are so cute!" After making a point of the Shadow Heartless being adorable Saya began running toward it as though attempting to give it a hug.

[OOC: Oooh! Otakon!] While Evia was more certainly not afraid of bugs, she was however afraid creatures that existed for the soul purpose of consuming other people's hearts. She hoped to not ever have to give that lesson and they would be lucky enough to be encounter-free throughout the relatively short trip, but only time would tell. for now, Saya was receptive about Evia's statement of trust, which honestly made the armored girl feel pretty good about herself. It was of no cost at all to be spared the details, since there was nothing to gain in this situation from the girl fibbing about having the ability to defend herself. Especially when she mentioned her own armor wasn't just for show. Surprisingly enough, the other girl made an inquisition to Evia'a own means of defending herself. Well, it wasn't plainly obvious since she too looked like she lacked any weapons or magical prowess (wizards don't usually wear such heavy armor), but she was armed to the teeth with all sorts of neat equipment. It's just... none of it was plainly obvious, but that was for a very good reason. It was a personal one, but she preferred to seem unequipped than look like a walking death machine. Armor itself is a status symbol, a representation to herself as a guardian as she's been titled, but weapons that showed... that was another story entirely. Evia never wanted to appear hostile, ever. However there was no cause for alarm here. she would be glad to repeat the structured phrase she's had to say many, many times to others before her who have all asked the same question. "With three black belts, four miscellaneous martial arts certificates, weapons training in six different unique type of arms in both melee and ranged, as well as holding twelve first-place standings in tournaments and championships, I'm more than qualified to serve as an active guardian." All in one breath without even missing a beat. "...I answer that question more often than you'd think," she also admitted afterwards. It sounded like she was bragging, but the girl asked a question and Evia was merely giving an honest answer. "fighting, especially competition, has always been hobby of mine, ever since I was a young child." Not that she's much older than Saya, if at all. She was barely turning an adult, but she already had so much practice. The emphasis was on the word 'young' in this case, though. Having explained Evia's story, it was time for Saya to explain hers. Unfortunately, it was a rather disappointing explanation. She was trying to discover something on a serious basis and the upbeat girl seemed to turn it into a mild joke. She appreciated the girl's capacity to remain positive, but an actual answer would've been nice. Before Evia could ask her to elaborate, she began to point out a shadow in the ground. Wasn't that...? Oh no, it was a shadow! but... just one? Before she could ponder for too long, Saya wanted to see about running right up to claiming it was cute. Not going to happen. Before she could even take her second step or so Evia would reach out and attempt to grab arm, pulling her back behind her if successful. She was quick, so if she missed, she would easily lunge forward and block the girl's path to the Shadow. "No! Don't be foolish!" Raising her right arm, the two metal bars on her gauntlet fanned out revealing them to be attached by a string, making a small crossbow. It wouldn't take her long to aim at all being so close, firing three bolts in quick succession made the Heartless puff back in the abyss from whence it came. "These creatures only exist to consume your Heart. Don't--" [ BGM anyone?] A familiar popping noise began to circumvent and within another second, they were surrounded. Six Armored Knights and six Shadows staring them down in alternating ranks in a complete circle. Evia collapsed the crossbow and flicked her arms at the elbows, brandishing two long, sharp blades from the tops of her hands, poking out from inside of the gauntlet. She wasn't surprised in the least, Heartless never attack by themselves. "Like I said, they attack in groups... If you lack the confidence, stay by my side and I'll dispatch them as they get close. Otherwise, you can start and I will break off at the ones opposite of you." It was a simple plan, it left the girl with options; she could fight, or not fight. Evia hoped she would engage to see her style of combat, but didn't want to force the girl to partake in something she wasn't comfortable doing. Not yet. Evia was more than capable of handling this batch of enemies by herself.

"Wow." Evia is obviously very accomplished and even made the countless guards she had while on tour seem like fodder in comparison. In the defense department Evia clearly was over qualified and even set a new standard for what Saya would look for assuming she ever managed to get back home and went on tour. In retrospect Saya was actually a little jealous of Evia considering Evia was the prime example of achievement through hard work and discipline. Everything always naturally to Saya... well at least when it came to music, other things usually proved to be somewhat of a challenge and where Saya usually failed a challenge Evia appeared to Master. From physic to stature and overall composure Evia was an accomplished warrior and what was Saya? Saya was just some girl blessed with the power to control sound and directed to become the greatest Musical Sensation in the world while outfitted with a Pop Culture outfit. Although some wished they would never have to work hard for anything, Saya could only watch in admiration of those that did.
As the sequence of events continued to play out and Saya unwittingly ran toward a heartless she was abruptly stopped by mighty grip. Almost as quickly as Saya was stopped the Shadow she was so fixated on disappeared in a puff of smoke as Evia referred to Saya's actions as foolish. 'Well... THAT was uncalled for,' though Saya before Evia began to explain the full story behind the heartless reign. "Wait, they consume hearts!? SO not cute, SO not cute," Saya exclaimed completely wide eyed and fearful of the bloody mess that would leave behind. As endorphin shot through Saya's body at the acknowledgement of such a terrifying lust she slowly and shaken returned to Evia with her back nearly pressed against hers.
At this point Saya only wished she could have learned more about the Town... like how they kept it so clean after heartless attacks, huh? Wait a minute, how did they consume hearts exactly if nothing seemed to give evidence of that? Assuming the two ever made it out of this attack alive Saya was sure Evia would be able to explain that. Saya didnt really know what to think at this point, during moments like these Saya's mind raced WAY faster than she could appropriately connect and really needed an outlet.
At this point Saya's eyes frantically watched as more heartless appeared in a circular formation around them. Apparently Saya and Evia were the next on the menu. Saya's hands notably shook as she grabbed the headphones around her neck almost placing them over her ears before coming back to her senses with Evia's words. Saya let the headphones fall back around her neck while letting out a sigh of relief, thankfully Evia was already able to deduce a combat strategy and her confident voice was able to help setting Saya's nerves. Remembering she wasnt alone in this attack Saya was able to calm down and even mildly return to her cheery self. "Ill be honest, I do lack the confidence and that doesnt stop me," Saya admitted, "What does stop me is the, heh, collateral that comes with the use of my powers. Unless we run and funnel them with a safe distance it would be better for you to handle them, but I WILL have your back!" Although Saya really didnt sound to confident in what she was saying she wanted to attempt returning the same confidence Evia gave her.

[OOC: I went a bit nuts here... whoops ;\]
Once the other girl confirmed that the idea of consuming hearts turned them off from being 'cute' Evia stood relieved that she wouldn't question the statement or force her to try and prove it. She wasn't particularly in the mood sit around and watch as ignorant people needlessly became hurt, so as long as Saya was on board with their necessary destruction, Evia wouldn't hesitate take them out one at a time as they attacked. Dispatching such low-ranking beasts wouldn't be the most difficult either.
One thing that did confuse her slightly was when Saya talked about potentially using her abilities. Collateral damage? What was that about? Did her powers get too out of hand too quickly? Evia has always known magic to be divided up by strength, as different spells amongst the same element can be cast at varying degrees of intensity, but ultimately it can be controlled. "Then handle them I shall!" Evia called out as two of the knights approached.
With a powerful spin kick, Evia sent the closest one flying back and used that momentum to chain into an uppercut-stab where she launched the other one into the air, slashed across it once, and jumped to pile drive it into the ground with her sword, causing it to vanish. Turning to the one she kicked away, three quick flicks of her elbows would dispatch that soldier. Another one dared to approach from behind, but while that was going on two of the shadows crept closer while flat against the ground. Evia would cross her arms across her body and slash outward with both at the same time, then bring her arms back to stab with one and upward slash with the other.
At the same time, the shadows emerged, taking her slightly by surprise, but avoided their claws by rolling forward. Right into two more soldiers and a shadow. It's too bad these critters were so low to the ground, or they would be much easier to dispatch all at once. Regardless, some quick thinking warranted a leg sweep to knock the shadow away and trip the two soldiers, a series of three stabs for one, and then a stab into the other but she kept the sword there while going back and forth with the other until it dissipated. With the last swing, she collapsed the sword on her right arm and snagged the bar from her leg, flicked it to reveal a very sharp point and an axe head, turned and threw it at the last soldier before executing a back flip toward Saya again to spin-slash the soldier which the axe struck, retrieving the weapon with her free hand, spinning it so that it collapsed again, and flashed it by her thigh where it stuck once more as a bar.
By this time, two shadows would attack Saya from behind, but Evia's positioning was flawless from landing near her earlier to easily front flip forward while extending her right blade once again, skewering both shadows as she was above them, landed, and jump forward again albeit executing a much quick flip. She threw the shadows off her blades which puffed into darkness the moment they hit the ground. She turned and slashed behind her to catch another shadow popping up behind her and then spun the other way and got low to the ground to hit it again, causing it to dissipate as well.
Two of the remaining shadows popped up in between Saya and Evia, where she took one long stride with a wide arcing slash to knock one clean out of the way, then did a minor hop forward and spun to hit the shadow closer to Saya once with each blade, landing into a executing third strike which was a stab. In an effort to continue to stay close to Saya, Evia collapsed her right sword again and whipped out the axe, extending it while reeling it back and throwing it with precision to execute that shadow which she knocked away.
Of course, there was only one more left. It flattened itself to the ground and shifted about pretty quickly until it was in front of Evia, to which she crossed her blades in front of her, lunged forward and pushed her arms out, creating a reverse-scissor effect. The shadow was defeated instantly from this much stronger strike. After a slight pause, the armored girl raised her arms and the swords collapsed back into place. "Hopefully, that will be the most of the excitement for tonight," she said as she calmly walked over to the axe, picked it up and put it away. She got in front of Saya again, intending to continue walking right away. That might have been a basic encounter, but moving around so much tired her out a little bit. Especially since she had already exercised profusely today. She didn't say anything else to the girl though; hopefully she got the message now.

After witnessing Evia's display on a moments notice after mentioning the start of her assault, Saya was convinced that Evia was not just talk. If Saya could remember correctly a Knight in training would normally be called a Squire and only advance after some right of initiation, whatever the case may be it was clear that Evia was no Squire but at least the equivalent of a full blown Knight. Saya wasnt necessarily impressed with the Evia's power but more with her dexterity and control of the flow of battle. Based on how Evia was moving it was clear she had the upper hand during combat the entire time ending in her victory over the heartless.
"That was amazing!" Saya exclaimed in praise of Evia's flawless victory, "You didnt even need help! Way to make someone feel needed!" Saya attempted to joke through her own realistic jealousy before appreciating Evia. "But seriously... Thank you," Saya paused with a slow from her natural tempo to keep serious ambiance, "I'll never be so open to combat or willing to participate like you are. I actually hate fighting... and I feel bad admitting that considering I'm saying it to such an accomplished fighter." Saya in most cases really isnt an open book but considering in some odd fashion one could say Evia just saved Saya's life it would only be fair to express why in most circumstances Saya wouldnt be a combatant. "When I said music was my weapon I cant say it was 100% accurate... the only combat application I know of my abilities are concussive blasts. Such a terrifying use of abilities is why I carry these headphones, but that doesnt help or protect those around me. Point is, I admire and appreciate your ability to protect those close to you whether Im using the phrase literally or figuratively in your opinion." Saya smiled through the last part of her statement in order to drive the point home of how she felt gratitude for Evia's effort just now.
Thinking about how Evia mentioned qualified as an active Guardian and having proved herself in the fight with the heartless it actually got Saya stirring. Although Saya's demeanor slowed down previously her attitude shot back up as she thought of all the possibilities around Evia's statement. When Saya was on tour she always had multiple body guards that werent even half as qualified as Evia and never faced a real threat considering no one in the world would ever take a swing at such a popular person. Unlike some spoiled Pop culture promotion artist, Saya has always expressed herself as humble above all other things and the only real purpose of the Body Guards were as Population control in order to allow for Saya to isolate herself for simple sleep. Even though Saya already admitted her headphones existing to cancel the negative effects of her own abilities they sometimes served the purpose of drowning out the excess sounds of obsessed fans.
Considering Saya really hasnt had much time away from her home world her mentality is still adjusting so the need for a Body Guard or Guardian still seems to be in high regard. But could it be that Evia was already looking after someone? It would explain why Evia already seemed so settled into the town. Hopefully Evia was not an Active Guardian but it if she was that would definitely become the first hurdle. Glowing and ready for a positive news Saya expressed the following attempting to sap the information she wanted without raising too much early suspicion, "Even more than my admiration for you, Im jealous of those you care enough to guard over. Do you think I would ever get to meet them?"

Throughout the ordeal, Evia was simply glad she could help. She was a little confused at first when Saya seemed to complain about feeling needed at all, but it was she herself that claimed Evia should handle them on her own. It only clicked that she wasn't serious when she thanked the armored girl for her help. "It was no problem." Regardless of if it was necessary for her to assure the cheery girl, she still felt it was only proper etiquette to do so.
In fact, the girl stated that she hated fighting. Well, it was very fortunate for Evia to be stumbling at the time that she did then, to be able to guide Saya safely to somewhere to stay while easing the burden of making her force her hand. Apparently she could deliver concussive blasts with her voice, which was actually quite astounding, but she could see how it wasn't a favorable preference for combat. Evia would hate for herself to have so little control over how her abilities functioned, but because her abilities were her own natural body, she was in full control. She doubted she could ever understand this girl's struggle. Instead, she would have to be content with being there to protect her for now.
"I have the potential, I might as well use it for something good. Your words are very kind, though. I appreciate it." And she was serious when she said that, too. There was a distinct sense of being proud in her tone that didn't come off as showy or as a gloat but rather positively receptive to Saya's comments. What a truly upbeat and well-mannered girl. It is quite too unfortunate that she is cursed with having no sense of how she got here or even the world she lives in now. It must be vastly different. Evia would definitely have to show her the ropes, maybe even find someone who could help her fine-tune her combat skills.
What seemed to come out of left field however is the girl wanting to meet whoever Evia primarily stood over protection for. It was an odd request, but it still made sense. Unfortunately, her answer might not be exactly what the girl was expecting or craving. "I live primarily in isolation, by choice. I protect those that ask for help or seem to fall in immediate danger, but there are no beings I serve consistently, on a regular basis." Well, that got real rather fast. Hopefully she wouldn't be too upset about Evia's life choices, as a lot of people seemed to be whenever she mentioned them. They always tried to change her, to be more open, to appreciate people, but they never understood. She was fully prepared to retaliate to Saya as well, expecting her to want Evia to change regarding her isolation.

At this point Saya was torn over what to do about Evia, even though it would be nice to have Evia around whenever things got out of hand it seemed as though it would be wrong to pull her away from her true calling. Saya's time with Evia is memorable by all means but how long would it really last? Considering Saya's world was recently turned upside down leaving her in Twilight Town only means she was lost and in need of guidance but was that the only reason Evia approached her? Saya didnt really want to believe that Evia was only courageously stumbling upon Saya especially since her first... wait a minute... Evia's first impression of Saya was that she was in trouble of sorts.
Saya's eyes widened and could be easily misinterpreted as being caused by Evia mentioning preferring to be in isolation. "You're like a Knight in Shining Armor...," Saya's words trailed as her mind rode off thinking of the extent of what these Mythical Knights would do and Evia definitely fit the job description. No one ever knew what the Mythical Knights would do after saving the day but to live in isolation? Why? Was Evia consistently training to maintain her form and ability leaving no time for those around her except for moments of hardship in which her skills were needed? Saya probably could never imagine the real cause for Evia's life choices but it did bring up an interesting question.
"If you dont mind me asking," Saya began as her surprised look turned into one of concern, "Are you happy? Being alone that is." Taking a moment to wonder if Evia truly was happy with her choices made Saya start looking inward a little. Truth of the matter Saya was always able to find happiness especially because the object of her happiness always followed her, being able to compose music kept Saya content and fulfilled.
Oh.... oh... Saya shouldnt have ever asked that question! Saya's cheeks immediately burned with a red tint as her attitude and complexion flourished. "Im soooooo sorry! I shouldnt have gone there!" Saya was so flustered by the fact that she even bothered especially after realizing that what likely kept Evia happy was her ability to protect and hon those skills. "How could I have been so silly!?" Saya honestly had no one to blame other than herself and was hoping to make it up to Evia somehow. Saya could sing for Evia! Thinking back on how Evia first approached Saya by complimenting her song could it be that is the only reason Saya was approached? "Would you rather I just make it up to you by singing the entire rest of the way?" frantically asked Saya as she finally drew the courage to look at Evia in the eye once more.
No matter what happened in Saya's life Music usually fix the moment whether it be personally or for everyone around her. Saya's go to answer was always to perform and hopefully it would once again prove to be the appropriate response. Considering the reason Evia ever approached Saya was due to her music it was possible to believe that it would be what would forever intertwine two completely different people.

As the drew ever so closer to the building where Evia would have the girl reside, it seemed that it was inevitable this little conversation between them would end. In all honesty however, Evia seemed to be quite pleased by the turn of events. She enjoyed conversing with this other person who was so full of life and energy, much unlike herself. She didn't question her own demeanor, but merely noted an observation of difference. Evia was content above all, getting the chance to meet someone so different from herself. She normally wasn't interested in conversing with others in the slightest, but she saw an exception with this girl.
And, based on how things were going, perhaps Saya wanted to be a friend. Maybe that wasn't so unreasonable. Being called a knight in shining armor however, well, maybe that was a little much! She wasn't of nobility so she couldn't be a knight, and her armor may have been polished and fitted neatly but it wasn't as shiny as one would imagine. "Well, maybe not exactly..." Evia trailed in response. The girl seemed to be thinking about something, and she didn't necessarily want to interrupt. The girl's sense of wonder seemed to be one of her much stronger points.
The silence was broken when she had a very peculiar question. Initially, Evia took no offense and would have no qualms with providing an honest answer. Of course she was happy, if it was her preference, how could she hate it? It seemed pretty straightforward, but Saya would take her question back right after asking it. Perhaps if she answered anyway, would the girl not feel as bad anymore? She didn't know what to do exactly in this situation, since Saya was expressing some unspoken taboo related to her question while Evia wouldn't be so aware of whatever it was that made such a question preposterous.
"Well, if I may answer anyway, the answer is yes. I've seen my peers quite fixated on adequate social situations, but I don't see the need so much myself. I'm happy as long as I am competing and challenging myself, and reaching goals. I don't particularly foresee any goals in the future about obtaining friends, though." Maybe that last bit wouldn't make as much sense to Saya, but Evia knew that she was very goal-oriented. As long as she was working toward completing a task, she would be content, as she said. In order to really want friends or companionship, it would have to be her active goal.
"If it's not too much to sing, I would enjoy hearing your lovely voice again however," Evia admitted. There wasn't much longer to go, but it would honestly be pretty cool to hear her sing once more.
