Entranced by the room, Tori didn’t even notice Henoke asking his own part. She hadn’t even noticed Henoke walking towards the throne and sitting on it, but the fox had. Rushing towards him, it looked at him while tilting its head a bit.
“A ‘letdown’ by your view, mind you” it berated, “Then again… I’m no one to disagree…” it finished with a sigh.
Tori shook her head, as if snapping back from a trance. There were memories far to strong for her to simply ignore, but she hadn’t realized just how strong they were. Walking towards Henoke and Fay in order to catch up, she began to listen at their conversation.
”D’you lead us to the wrong place?” The fox blushed, blinking at Henoke with actual embarrassment, only to quickly flail back. “I didn’t mean it!” the fox said in a tantrum, “I didn’t think we’d arrive here! If anything, this is the last place I would’ve taken you to!” “…So, we’re not supposed to be here?” Tori asked, curious. “…Someone was resting here —someone whose heart took a severe blow” the fox explained turning towards her, “A room that someone didn’t want anyone else to find… I can’t really explain how we got here…” “And… Then, where are they now? The person who you said was resting here.” “…” the fox looked back at the throne, “Right there. But… They’re not. It’s most likely because the world doesn’t want us to see him, or we’re simply being kept away by another illusion —but not like the ones before. It’s… Basically, think of it as an illusion that wants to protect that person.” “An illusion… that protects someone…”
Tori glanced over at the chair, with a concerned look. Someone whose heart had taken a severe blow, and was now kept hidden by illusions and lies… In her eyes, that must’ve been a very important person, but not a king or the like. Smiling caringly, she thought about it, basing the idea on the memories she’d managed to glimpse.
A friend. Someone who wanted to keep those they cared for safe no matter what.
“I wonder… Just what happened to them…” she thought. “In any case!” the fox shouted, “There’s no other doors around here, right?” it asked, looking around. “…Not that I can see…” Tori mentioned, “Now how do we get out?” “Hmm… Well… We could try making a Rift here and see if we get to Radiant Garden that way…” the fox mentioned with unease, “I’m not sure if it’ll work, though… There is a lot of power you could use, but… This is still Castle Oblivion —whether you can break through the illusions or not in order to lead us back into reality is up for debate.”

”I didn’t mean it!” Henoke actually barked out a laugh, lounging on the throne and finding amusement in Fay’s embarrassment. ”So, we’re not supposed to be here?” Hearing the Familiar’s slightly vague explanation caused the teen to raise an eyebrow, openly curious now as he glanced around the room with new eyes. A room someone didn’t want anyone to find? This was definitely the place for something like that. Listening to Tori and Fay discuss how the ‘person’ in question could still be within the very room they stood in, but protected by the castle’s odd illusion work, Henoke found himself slightly confused, furrowing his brow and shaking his head. ”What a weird castle…” Sighing a bit, he rested a cheek on a fist, wondering who would have been important enough to hide in such a weird place. Were they part of the Organization?
There was a lot he didn’t understand. ”In any case! There’s no other doors around here, right?” Fay’s shout brought him from his thoughts, causing him to nod his head as he took another look around the room. Nothing. No doors. It was like they hit a dead end, weirdly enough. ”Hm…well…we could try making a Rift here and see if we get to Radiant Garden that way…” Henoke jolted upright on the throne, having literally forgotten that they were headed somewhere specific for a moment. ”Oh yeah!” Jumping up from the chair, the teen walked back over to where Fay and Tori stood, listening to the Familiar’s concerns about being able to open a rift. Shrugging, Henoke rested his hands behind his head as he gave the two a confident grin. ”It should be fine! I used my Keyblade to get outta here last time.” Tilting his head a bit, he glanced up towards the ceiling, thinking aloud.
”Though…maybe that’s different from a Rift?” He didn’t really understand the odd portals, almost appearing as tears, that Tori could create. All he knew is that they were better than his ‘at-random’ ability with the Keyblade.

Tori and Fay both looked at Henoke as he shouted, further listening with attention as they learnt how he’d left the first time he was there. The fox pondered a bit, thinking through his speech.
If he’d manage to leave that world using his Power of Waking, making it out into the worlds outside while ignoring the illusions the world placed… Then maybe they had a shot. With the amount of power in the room they were in, breaking a path to get out seemed a plausible enough option. Nodding, it looked at Tori with determination.
“If he got out with his Power of Waking unscathed, then we should be able to do so, too” it said, “There’s enough power to use here, so you should be able to break through with ease.” “You’re confident, all of the sudden…” Tori smirked, crossing her arms, “But, you say we chance it?” “If Henoke’s words are to be believed…”
Chuckling, Tori glanced over at Henoke. Summoning her regular Keyblade, she turned towards the door, walking a bit before raising her Keyblade diagonally, a Rift breaking through the space. The fox looked in awe, smiling as it saw the Rift being successful. Turning back towards Henoke, Tori nodded.
“I say we chance it” she said, confidently, “I believe you —so, I’ll give it my all, too.” “Hehe…” the fox snickered, “That’s good to hear.” “So, let’s get going.”
Waiting for Henoke before entering the Rift, Tori looked at the fox, who remained sitting down with its tails fanned out as nine, smiling calmly. Curious, Tori tilted her head, but the fox simply shook her head.
“I can’t go with you” the fox said, “Outside the Realm Between, it’s hard for me to keep my form intact. You’ll need what power you have in order to fend for yourself.” “Fay…” “Don’t worry —once you recover the power you’ve lost, we’ll meet again, for sure! Until then, though…” the fox smiled with unease, “You’ll have to figure out things by yourself. Although… You have an idea already, don’t you?”

Grinning confidently as he crossed his arms and watched Tori and Fay debate on whether or not to use a Rift, the teen found himself in a good mood. As Tori summoned her Keyblade, tearing a Rift into the space before her, the teen pumped his fist in victory. ”I say we chance it.” He beamed at Tori, who was putting her faith in him. ”Yeah! Let’s do it!” Pumping a fist against his chest, the teen rushed forward to enter the Rift, excited to go to a world he had never been to before. Anything had to be better than this damned castle with nothing but white walls and bittersweet memories.
”I can’t go with you.” Fay’s comment to Tori brought Henoke to a halt mid-step. ”Outside of the Realm Between, it’s hard for me to keep my form intact.” Turning to glance at the fox, the teen’s face fell a bit, having forgotten that they weren’t in the Realm of Light this entire time. ”Don’t worry—once you recover the power you’ve lost, we’ll meet again” Hearing Fay’s reassurance to Tori also cheered Henoke up, nodding a bit as he walked over and rested a hand on her shoulder. ”See ya soon, Fay.” Smiling down at the fox, he felt a genuine confidence in his heart that this wasn’t “Goodbye”, not by a long shot. ”You’ll have to figure out things by yourself.” Seeing the fox’s unease, Henoke couldn’t help but scratch a cheek somewhat sheepishly as he glanced away.
Was he gonna hold her back, here? Shaking his head, Henoke was determined to help out, no matter what. He may not be the best at thinking, but there was no way he was just going to rely on Tori for everything. Waiting for the two to have their moment of parting, Henoke crossed his arms and waited by the Rift, smiling and waving to Fay one last time before preparing to go through the portal. ”Don’t sweat it, Fay~ We’ll get her powered up pronto!” He wouldn’t let them down—any of them. Not Tori, not Fay, and certainly not Kosuke. With a fiery determination burning in his heart, Henoke stepped through the Rift, wondering what this mysterious 'Radiant Garden' had in store...

The goodbye felt bittersweet, mostly for Tori. Still wanting answers for herself, she couldn’t help but feel reliant on the fox, but that wouldn’t be happening. She perked up as Henoke placed a hand on her shoulder, only to smile at his confidence.
”Don’t sweat it, Fay~ We’ll get her powered up pronto!” The fox snickered at his reply, amused. Tori did, as well, returning back towards a better mood. “That’s good to hear, although I can’t say if I should trust you with that!” the fox teased, “I’m glad to know that you’ll keep an eye out on Tori for me, though —makes things easier that way.” “Fay, knock it off!” Tori pouted back. “…Heh. Even after all this time, you never realized you were calling me by name, huh?” the fox mentioned, catching Tori off-guard, “Even Henoke got it before you! Isn’t that surprising?” “…” Tori raised one hand towards her mouth, thinking on the fox’s words, “Fay… I’ll make sure to remember it, then.” “Please do!”
Following Henoke as he crossed the Rift, Tori looked at the fox one last time, as it bid them goodbye with its tail and a smile. Smiling back, Tori crossed the break in the world, closing behind them.
“What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger… You’ll be able to fight back in no time —I’m sure” the fox said, as the Rift closed.
Leaving behind Castle Oblivion, while breaking through the illusions, Tori nodded, having heard Fay’s last comment. Surely, that wouldn’t be the last time they met.
If anything, Tori would make sure on that. For now, though… They had another lead to follow.
