Orion walked through the smoke. He knew she was here. He could feel the flames on his back as they spread from home to home. In the distance he heard the sound of meteors continuing to fall. Just what had they stepped into?! Orion had charged off the moment he had arrived in this world. Seeing the smoke and the house he knew immediately that this was what he had witnessed.
As he came upon the house he noticed the woman there. She was unconscious, but Orion didn't know that yet. "Hold on! I'll get you out!" Spotting the boards and rocks that lay on the bottom half of her torso, Orion immediately went to try and take the things off of her. The house had literally toppled on her. There was no way he could move one board without risking more things to fall on them both!
"Damien what do you...?" Orion began as he glanced around for Damien. His friend was no where to be found! Orion had run off just assuming that Damien and Aiden would follow him. He hadn't realized that they had their own people to look for.
Turning back to the situation at hand, Orion knew he had to do something! But what! "Think you idiot! Think!" What would his master do? Knowing him he probably would just destroy the thing. "That's it!" But how was he going to do that?! He did have power... But if he used it then he might loose control. He wouldn't be able to help her then.
Orion felt so helpless at that moment. He knew she was in danger and he couldn't do a thing to save her! He was stuck between a rock and a hard place. Orion summoned his sword. The sword of storms, given to him by his father. It was his birth right. The moment he summoned the dark armor this sword lost its form, and another sword replaced it.
Falling to his knees in front of her, Orion felt tears coming down his eyes. "I can't save you!" He told her, feeling defeated.

Damien had plum forgotten about poor Orion. If Aiden hadn't run off, Damien wouldn't have either. Unfortunately, the two had taken off, Damien initially giving chase to Aiden whom had eventually outrun him. It was then, at that moment, it had hit Damien hard. Remy and Brayden were in all of this! Where he wasn't related to them by blood, Damien loved Remy as if she were an elder sister. The thought of her and her loved ones being in danger, especially the orphaned children, had made him act without thinking. Bolting down a side street, Damien ran for the inn that he knew Remy and her husband had last been. He wasn't sure if they could still be there but it was the only thing that came to mind. Aiden had even stated that they had made their home, for the time being, the inn. If what happened with Judy were true, hopefully the orphans along with Remy and her husband were already moved out before the meteors fell.
----------------------------------------
Aiden bolted through the streets. It had been a while since he had been out here last. Considering all the turmoil and destruction, Aiden had some difficulty navigating his way through them. It was particularly hard to avoid people running his way, debris falling from buildings, fire and even meteors. Where did the meteors come from anyway? Had the apocalypse taken place? Aiden couldn't help but glance up at the skies above for a short moment as he leaped up onto a still standing hut to look upward. His dragon-like eyes' pupils slitted as he surveyed the heavens above before looking all around him. His heart hammered as he looked down at what was happening with everyone below. People were screaming, children were crying, everything was just chaotic.
"Please, be alright!" Aiden murmured before resuming his search. He couldn't believe how fast he was moving but he had no time to permit himself to startle himself. He had to find his brother and his mother. Even if they had what troubles they did before, Aiden still loved them. They were, after all, still his family even if they were a dysfunctional one.
"OOF!" Aiden grunted when he ran into something or someone. The impact had knocked him off his feet before he landed a good five feet away from who or what he had just collided with. "D-dizzy!" the teenager groaned for a short moment before shaking his head to free himself of his disorientation.
"Er, s-sorry!" Aiden apologized before jumping to his feet lithely. He rubbed the side of his face in slight pain from the collision. That certainly had hurt a bit. Where he was a Dragoon, some things still hurt a little.
------------------------------------------------
As Rekka ran alongside her cousin, she couldn't help but get this sudden feeling of dread. She didn't know why but her mind had suddenly turned to Amber. Was Amber alright? What of Bartimaeus and Judy? "I need to find my friends. What of your mother, my aunt?" Rekka had questioned Ryo as they ran. The two of them were just about to make it out of the slums.
"Never mind that, let's just find your friends first. I don't have time to explain."
Rekka was worried by the tone of his voice but went with it. She wouldn't argue as the pair of them continued down the street. "The end of the slums and the beginning of the marketplace should be just up ahead." Rekka, at that moment, remembered that Amber had gone that way to try and find the bard.
"Keep your eyes peeled then, Amber could be anywhere up ahead!" The two slowed a bit as they ran before Ryo came to an abrupt hat, grabbing Rekka's shoulder as he did so.
"Did you hear that scream?"
Rekka gave Ryo a very flat look of annoyance then at that comment. "I heard all of the screaming!" she retorted rather bluntly. Ryo just shook his head before directing them toward where he heard the sound.

The fire was getting closer. Orion could feel it on his back now. It was getting hotter as the flames grew closer. The onslaught of meteors upon the city had seemed to have ceased. It appeared that there were no more raining balls of death, for that was what they seemed to be to Orion. The only remaining danger was the destruction that the meteors had caused and the spreading fire.
Those fortunate enough to be nearest the city wall crowded around it, hoping that being outside of the city would somehow save them from the meteor showers. They pushed, shoved, and forced their way through the four gates of the city. Those beyond the city had witnessed the onslaught of the city while also being fortunate enough that not a single meteorite struck any neighboring town, home, or even land.
From the mountain area, witnesses spoke in hushed tones. They spoke words of "attack" and "war". The way the destruction was secluded to the town made it seem like an attack on the town. There were hints and voiced fears of "The Dark Emperor!" Some had weapons in hand, almost as if they expected to be attacked at any moment.
While all this occurred, Orion struggled against the instinct to flee. The fire was growing hotter every second now, and Orion knew he either had to leave or attempt to free her. "If I don't do something the fire will kill her anyway. I have to at least try, damn it!" He reasoned in that moment.
Orion decided to act. Letting his weapon vanish, Orion reached down and lifted the boards. At first it seemed that the pile of boards weren't going to budge, but Orion did not give up. Slowly, with a grunt of effort, Orion lifted the boards. It took all of his strength and then some to lift the board off of Amber's legs and hold them up. He could see now, glancing down, that Amber's legs were broken in strange fashions. One leg was bent backward, with bone sticking out of it. The other seemed to be completely crushed.
Well he had lifted the boards, but now how was he going to get her out? It seemed that Orion had just traded one bad situation for another. Orion could only hold this for so long before they slipped. Who knew what impact they would have if they fell from his hands again!

Damien ran long and hard. He weaved through the crowd without much incident outside of people just trying to find their loved ones. No one in the crowd appeared to be anyone he knew so Damien kept moving. If it weren't for the harsh training he took as a child, he would have been out of breath by now when he rounded the corner. There, he found nothing standing in place of the inn. At first, Damien had thought he had overshot it but soon realized it was the inn that Remy and Bradley had been living in with the orphaned children. It had been their new home until they could get a new one. Unfortunately, that home didn't appear to be here.
"...No..." Damien murmured as he looked at the huge crater where the inn had last been. Right now, his heart felt like it was going to give out as he crumpled to his knees for the time being. He felt defeated and believed that they must have died or at least dreaded the worst. Someone's wailing nearby, however, managed to pull him out of his despair. A woman looked like she was crying over the inn too. From the looks of her, Damien recognized her as the owner of the inn. She had been very kind to her clients.
As Damien got back to his feet, he thought for a moment. If they weren't in what was left of the inn...could it be possible they had made it outside the city somewhere? It seemed the only likely place for everyone to go. However, before he would go, he should probably try to forewarn the woman to not remain where she was. Where it seemed, by now, the meteors had stopped falling there was still fires and falling debris everywhere. Damien might have water abilities but he could only do so much on his own. Last time he tried, he had worn himself completely out.
It was a lucky thing, he supposed, that there was too much going on right now. People here wouldn't be able to recognize him or associate him with being the one responsible for this mess.
"Er...ma'am?" Damien called to Judy, not knowing the woman's name. "Ma'am! You shouldn't stay here. The fire's getting out of hand all over here and things are falling. It's not safe."
-------------------------------------
Aiden had recovered from his momentary collision. He wasn't sure who or what he had run into but Aiden continued onward as if nothing had happened. By the time he had reached where the Dojo was, the one owned by all of the Wilders and lead by his brother, Aiden skidded to a halt. It was eerily quiet despite the chaos taking place all around. Furrowing his brows in confusion, Aiden stepped through the now ruined gate leading into it.
"Wh...What happened?" Aiden spoke as he wandered further into the Dojo's grounds. Bodies littered the ground all around. It scared Aiden as he forced himself to keep pushing forward. Something was telling him that he shouldn't have come here and not because he was sensing any sort of danger. No, there was an ever presently growing dread. A dread that he had just lost something very dear. Nervously, Aiden scanned the faces of the fallen as he walked through the dead, careful to not step on anyone as he passed.
As he looked around, it seemed like a meteor had hit home in the main temple and the debris was what had killed the surrounding people. Not all of them were Wilders. From what it looked like, there were normal people from the village that had tried to seek refuge here most likely thinking the Wilders could save them from anything. Some of them were also probably family members to the Wilders.
"...Wh...Where..." Aiden began before stopping in his tracks. A wall had been completely opened up and within the very building he had come across, there lay his mother and Brian, barely hanging onto life although from Aiden's viewpoint, he couldn't tell. Horrified, Aiden hurried over to where his family lay. In his shock, Aiden simply went down on his knees as he surveyed the bodies of his mother and his elder brother. There was so much blood!
"...No...no!" Aiden uttered weakly as the feeling of loss sunk in. Where he had run away from his home, Aiden never wished any harm upon them. His mother hadn't been a mother to him since she had allowed herself to be overcome with her grief. As for his brother, Brian, he seemed too focused on the Dojo with no time at all for Aiden. In fact, he would rather be the leader of the Dojo than be a brother to Aiden. That was why Aiden had run away. Remy, the lady who ran the orphanage, had been much kinder to him. Even still, seeing his family like this pained Aiden.
It was difficult to take in as Aiden looked from his mother's face to his brother's. His mother was obviously dead. The way her eyes just seemed to stare off in the distance, unblinking, had been enough to tell Aiden that his mother was dead. As he brought his gaze over to his brother, tears welling up, Aiden heard him cough. It took a moment for Aiden to realize this as he went to his brother's side, lifting his head up so that he could breathe. The way Brian's breathing was though, Aiden was scared. He didn't look like he was in a very good shape and even looked as though he were just on death's doorstep right now.
"A-Aiden-!?" Brian's voice came out weakly. His brother's breathing were in heavy rasps and it sounded like blood or some sort of fluid had made it into Brian's lungs. Aiden, unable to talk due to a painful lump having formed itself in his throat seemingly, simply nodded in response as he looked down at his brother. For the first time in a long time, the two were seeing each other's faces. Even though he had focused more on the Dojo, when Aiden had run away, Brian had become very troubled. Seeing his younger brother seemed to uplift him even though he was certain his time would be short with Aiden.
"A-Aiden...I'm...so...rry. Sorry for...everything." Aiden couldn't help it as tears overflowed from his eyes and spilled out as Brian struggled to speak to him. They both knew that Brian wasn't going to make it. Brian raised a hand and gently wiped the side of Aiden's face to wipe the tears off of it. However, the effort alone was too much. Almost immediately, Brian had to let his hand gently return to his side. Aiden caught it though and clutched his brother's hand.
"D...Don't...blame your...self. I...it was...my fault...what happened. I-I...should have been...a better brother to you." Aiden just shook his head slowly, unable to talk as tears continued to spill from his eyes. He did his best to convey to Brian that it wasn't his fault. "...I know...our...mom...hadn't been much of...a mother to us. E-Ever since...father died in that...that investi...gation." Brian coughed harshly then, blood trickling out of the side of his mouth. Aiden sat his brother up a bit more to try and help ease his brother a little so he wouldn't suffer as much. Brian smiled up at Aiden then. His vision, the entire time, had been blurry so he hadn't noticed the physical changes that Aiden had taken. As far as he could tell, Aiden was still the same boy that had been from the Land of Dragons and not a newly awakened Dragoon due to their ancestor's blood.
"I...I hope you can...forgive me, Aiden. Kn...Know that...even though I've been...rotten to you...I've always thought of-f you. Y-You will always be...my little...bro...the-" There was a loud, rattling breath then as Brian had been abruptly cut off. Aiden watched as the life in his brother's eyes faded and became suddenly distant and glazed. Brian had just passed in his brother's arms. As this realization struck him, Aiden gaped for a moment and then lowered his head in anguish, hugging his elder brother close to him as he wailed.

Rekka had followed her cousin's lead whom seemed to have caught on to something. Wondering what could be so different about the screams all around them to make Ryo go out of their way, Rekka had no choice but to go along with it. The pair of them came out into the marketplace but in what looked to be somewhat of a residential part of it. Maybe a home that had once belonged to one of the merchants or something. Whatever had been left of that home, however, had landed on top of someone.
It was easy to see that someone was trying to help that person underneath the rubble. What clued them in was the way the man had lifted the ruins. Unfortunately, he didn't seem to realize that even though he had managed to lift the rubble off of the person underneath that he couldn't move them too. He was, from what it looked like, stuck in place.
"See?!" Ryo told Rekka before hurrying over to help Orion. Grabbing another side of the rubble, to help Orion keep it up, Ryo glanced back over at Rekka. "Get them out from under here," he stated. Rekka, as she came over, got a sudden feeling as she looked down at the figure underneath the rubble. It was initially the flames that called out to her. The close proximity they were to Amber were what had alerted her to the danger nearby. Where she knew of the danger, something in her made her more urgent. As if she were picking up on the fact that Amber was in danger but not because Amber was her friend. It was something else by the way that the symbol on Rekka's forehead began to show.
Ignoring the two men holding up the rubble, knowing their strength could only last for so long, Rekka made haste in crawling over to the figure under all the rubble. Due to the lighting, she had been unable to see the figure clearly as she gently pulled at them. It looked like something had been broken in places that made her inwardly recoil. It was a very lucky thing for the person to be unconscious. If they woke up they would certainly be howling with pain. As gently as she could and swiftly, Rekka had managed to drag them out from under the rubble.
As soon as she did, Ryo looked over at Orion and simply gave a nod before gently lowering his side of the rubble and placing it down where the person had last been. While Ryo had been doing that, Rekka had finally gotten a closer inspection of who it was that was lying under all of that rubble. As she examined the person's face, Rekka's only eye widened in realization and horror!
"A-Amber!" Rekka exclaimed. Amber had gotten hurt! Unsure of what to do, Rekka looked at her friend's obviously broken limbs. How was she to splint those? She didn't even have anything to splint them with! Seeing Amber like this, Rekka worried for the sake of the other two. Judy and Bartimaeus were out in all of this too. What if something happened to either of them? Placing her friend's head on her lap, Rekka wasn't sure what to do. She didn't have any healing powers. The only one that remotely had them was Bartimaeus and he was nowhere to be found. Damn their luck!
"How could this...happen?" Rekka murmured.
(OOC: *Dies* I hope this was all okay lol.)

((OOC: All is good xD))
The world was ending... again! At least that was what it seemed like to Bartimaeus. When the first meteor had fallen towards the royal estates, the bard had been heading in the opposite direction. Coming to an abrupt halt out of his phasing he crashed to the floor once more. Each time he used the Transparent Transport technique he drained some of his stamina. Like all persons, Bartimaeus had to be careful when using his techniques. Use too strong of a spell without enough stamina and it could literally kill him.
Given the wound, his body was already weak as it was. When the other meteorites began to fall, Bartmaues found himself in a constant hum as he would use bursts of stamina to dodge the falling meteors. "I have to make sure they're ok!" Bartimaeus told himself as he began to reverse his direction towards the estates.
Only though pure determination did Bartimaeus push himself. So it was that he came out of his transparent state only when his body could not take the strain of the magic any longer. He passed out, falling back into existence so to speak in the courtyard of the estates. Appearing out of thin air right in front of poor Aiden he probably scared the poor kid half to death.
-----------------
Orion was at the point where the boards were about to slip from his fingers when help arrived. One moment he felt the boards slipping and the next the weight he had to carry was lessened. Glancing over Orion found himself looking at Ryu. Of course he had no clue as to who this person was, but one thing was for sure: he was glad for his help!
Hearing him speak, Orion caught the back of Rekka as she bent down to save the woman from the building. As she pulled the woman free, Orion and Ryu slowly lowered the remaining pieces back to the ground. Boy was that close! In his mind Orion had been struggling with the proposition of what was he supposed to do. He had been absolutely frightened that he would let the boards go and crush the woman all together!
It seemed though that fate was looking out for him and this women. Turning to the third savior, Orion was surprised to hear her shout the woman's name. Apparently this young woman knew the woman from Orion's dream. The woman with the crushed legs was named Amber. Hearing her ask how this could happen, Orion didn't have an answer. He had just known that he had to try and save her. At least she was alive!
"We need to get out of here. Thank you for your help but we can't help her if were dead." And they were if they remained for long. In fact the flames were pointing and leaning in the direction of Rekka. Orion didn't recognize this, but the flames were being drawn to Rekka's emotional state and her abilities similar to the way the flames had leaned towards her back in Cornelia. All that Orion saw though was that the fire was getting closer and hotter by the second.
-----------------
Judy barley heard Damien. All she could think about was how everything she had worked for was gone. Her entire home... no her entire life had just ended. All of her hard work had been destroyed in a second. All of her hard work had been wasted. It was only when Damien called out to her again that she was able to be pulled away.
Tears were flowing from her eyes but she was not sobbing. In fact she was still in shock. "My... my home." Was all she could manage to say. Couldn't he understand that her home was gone. How could she care about being safe when her life was gone? If Damien was going to move her, he would have to carry her. At this point she would hardly resist. She couldn't move even if she wanted too.

Julian watched the destruction from outside the city. He stood with a mass of people who had fled the city and now watched its destruction from the hills that surrounded it. Unconsciously he played with the ring in his finger. It had been the ring he had stolen from the king after he had killed him. Julian couldn't help but feel guilty. Was this his fault? This meteorshower was not normal. The meteors were attacking the city and only the city. No meteor attacked from elsewhere. This was a direct attack.
"Amazing isn't it?" Eyebrows arching, Julian glanced to his left to spot Emperor Lakari standing next to him. He was dressed in the cloak he always wore, with the hood pulled down. His long blond hair hid his pointed ears. No one seemed to recognize that the elf responsible for millions of lives in a great war stood among them. To everyone else he was simply a bystander.
Julian however was afraid. This man was dangerous and he knew it. "Wh...wh..what do you mean?" He asked.
Not turning away from the city Lakari answered. "Magic. How complex must a spell be to infuse such a safeguard."
Now even more confused Julian was more direct. "I don't understand."
Finally turning to him Lakari smiled. "I told you to steal the ring and wait within the castle till I send someone to get it from you. Have you ever noticed that the king does not leave the royal estate? It is because of that ring. That ring is the key to a complex spell that is woven into the very structure of this entire city. To protect the ring from falling into the wrong hands if the ring leaves the estate a safeguard spell is activated. That spell is what you have just witnessed. Meteor. A very complex spell really. One I surely would not have tried or wished upon this city. That was why I was going to send one of my generals to fetch the ring from you. I know how to disable such a safeguard. Oh well. Cities can always be rebuilt. Still... I feel sorry for you Julian. You just killed thousands of people. Two more rings Julian. Oh and this time try not to leave the castles or palaces. I don't want to have to rebuild all the cities."
Speechless, Julian watched Lakari turn around and disappear in the crowd of people.

Aiden had stayed like that for quite some time, sobbing over his brother and mother. He mostly cried for his brother but his sorrow also extended to his mother. Why did things have to end like this? Why did it have to come to this? Why didn't Aiden see them before this all happened? Aiden hated himself for not having returned home sooner. Now, nothing could be done. Brian and his mother were both dead. He couldn't bring them back, no matter how much he wanted to.
The young dragoon pretty much forgot about everything happening around him at that moment. He had forgotten that he had left Damien and Orion behind. In fact, it didn't even occur to him then that he had gotten separated from them. He wasn't even aware of the danger around until what happened next. As he lifted his head to look sadly out at the grounds around him, something happened. There was the sudden arrival of someone out of the blue appearing right before his very eyes and landing in a heap on the ground, laying still right in front of Aiden!
The sudden appearance of the person had certainly made Aiden fall back as he let go of his dead brother. When he recovered, Aiden blinked away the tears from his shock as he looked at who had just landed in front of him. It looked like whoever it was, was still breathing. Looking from his brother and mother, Aiden knew that he couldn't just leave someone here who was probably in need of his help while he was busy mourning.
"I'm sorry..." Aiden finally said as he laid his brother down to rest and got up to walk over to the mysterious figure. As he wiped away at his tears and tear stained face, Aiden bent down to inspect who had just landed in front of him. It looked like a man somewhere in his forties. There was a wound somewhere since it was obvious to Aiden, when he gently rolled the man over, that there was a red stain on his front. It looked like he had been bandaged up before but the wound must have opened up again. Just who was he and what happened to him?
"...Sir?" Aiden called out to the man gently as he nudged him. There was no waking the guy from the look of things. Lightly biting his lip, Aiden brought his gaze upward and looked all around him. There didn't seem to be anyone around to help. It was all up to Aiden to help this mysterious man. Could he lift him though? Aiden knew he was faster but was he stronger too? Well, there was only one way to find out. Bending down, Aiden lifted the man up, careful to not jostle the wound the man had. Positioning him, Aiden made it so that he could carry the man on his back like one would a piggy back. With that, Aiden finally realized he had separated himself from Damien and Orion. The realization made his eyes widen. Well, this wouldn't be easy!
Aiden got to his feet, with the bard in tow, and darted off. Surprisingly, with the weight on his shoulders, Aiden still moved at a swift pace. The sooner he found help, the better.
----------------------------------------
Rekka didn't seem to notice the flames getting closer. It was a familiar feeling though, the flames. They always reacted to her emotional state. Fire always had a habit of leaning in her direction because of her powers. They always had a natural magnetic pull toward her as if she were the magnet. As Orion spoke, she brought her gaze upward to hear what he was saying. He was right, they had to get a move on it. The flames, where they would not harm her, would harm the others.
Ryo, the entire time, had been silent but he looked like he would comply. "Right, the fire...though it won't hurt me, would hurt you all." Rekka got to her feet, lifting Amber as gently as she could. It hurt her to see Amber in such a state and worried her. Rekka wasn't sure if she should cry or not. 'No, I can't cry right now. I have to be strong for Amber's sake,' she thought. Rekka didn't realize that what she said about the flames had made Ryo look at her confusedly. After all, she looked like a normal human so flames should hurt her.
"Er...can one of you help me carry her?" Rekka asked them both.
----------------------------------------
Damien could tell that the woman wasn't responding well. She simply lifted her head to look over at him as she mentioned it was her home. Well, there was nothing that could be done about her home. It was destroyed, if she was calling the inn her home. "Come on, we need to get out of here!" Damien stated. His patience with the situation, given what was happening around them, was short. Admittedly, he had lost his patience but he wasn't going to harm Judy.
In fact, where he had rudely walked over to her and lifted her, slinging her over his shoulder, Damien took off. He had to find Aiden and Orion. 'Shit, I lost Aiden and now Orion!' Only then had it occurred to him that he had left Orion behind since he wasn't anywhere to be found now. Running down a random street, avoiding debris and fire, Damien hoped that he would come across someone.

Orion nodded. He would carry Amber. Walking over to her, Orion lifted her in his arms like a child. Surprisingly she was lighter than he had imagined. "I have her. Why don't you two lead the way. I don't know where we should go?" Not only that but Orion also had to find Damien and Aiden. He had no idea where they had run off to in all of this mess. His instinct had been to help Amber.
"I'm sure they're all right." He reassured himself. He would follow Rekka and Ryu, though he hadn't a clue as to what their names were. He figured that they must be natives of this place. With the three of them being so close to each other, Orion had no clue that a kanji letter had appeared on his hand, and was glowing softly. If Amber had been awake she too might have noticed that a kanji letter had appeared on her right hip and was also glowing similar to the way Rekka's was.
-------------
The portal opened and Lakari stepped out of it and into the base of the mountain. He was in what appeared to be an empty field with the city not to far in the distance. Even from here he could see the smoke from the city. It bloomed from the city like a flower. But he was not here for that purpose. Lakari waited, knowing that any moment now the four heads would be appearing. After all they had agreed upon three days, and it was not the third day.
"Ten days Lakari... Clock is ticking!" The Serpent spoke, pressing his presence against Lakari's own.
Lakari cursed the serpent silently. Yes, it was correct. He had only ten days until their agreement came to an end. But ten days was more than enough time for the war to begin. By then he would have a new vessel to host his body as well. "That boy?! You're going to give up your all powerful body for that weak thing?" The Serpent chuckled. He could feel the creature inside his body, its parasite body pressing against his insides.
"Quiet!" Lakari commanded through clutched teeth. While Lakari hated to give up his body he hadn't a choice. It was either leave or allow the Serpent to steal his heart. Besides he had prepared for this. His plan was masterful. Nothing except a miracle could stop his plan now. The worlds would be his, and he would be their ruler. It didn't matter whose body he commanded.
The Serpent's high pitched voice crackled in laughter once more. "What is to stop me from thwarting all your plans? I know everything Lakari. We've shared the same mind and body for quite some time now."
While this was true, Lakari was not worried. "Don't you worry Serpent. I have plans for you too." He told it.

As Rekka held Amber upward, she waited to see what the other two would do. Ryo seemed like he was going to step over but the other guy had walked over before he could react. The man took Amber away from Rekka, offering to carry her before suggesting that Rekka and Ryo lead the way. Rekka didn't exactly know her way around the city so she turned then toward her cousin. Ryo simply nodded and wordlessly took the lead, once again placing his hands in his pockets as he went.
Rekka didn't realize her forehead was glowing with that kanji letter. All she knew was that Amber had gotten hurt. No one knew or even saw the kanji letter form on Rekka's head before except maybe during the times when her half armor appeared in the past.
"Alright...thank you."
Rekka knew that by herself she couldn't hold Amber up so she accepted the fact that Orion could do it better than she. Still, she was nervous a little about the idea of someone else holding her friend that she didn't know. He had to be someone good, right? He had tried to save her earlier, didn't he? That had to be enough. It was somewhat embarrassing though to see how easily Orion was holding Amber. 'Eh, then again, I'm not a guy so lifting even a fellow lady is hard,' Rekka thought as she turned to walk alongside her cousin. She made sure that Ryo was on her blind side as they went since she had no eye there. Ryo would be ale to prevent her from getting jostled by anyone running past, if any, or warn her of any danger on the other side.
----------------------------
Aiden's speed was alarming as he sped off with Bartimaeus in tow. He knew nothing of the evil Empire or the fact that Lakari had been here nor that someone named Julian was responsible for everyone's death here and the destruction that came along with it. All he knew was that this person that scared him half to death that he now carried was in need of medical attention. The only way he could guess to get this man help was if he could find a healer of sorts. If not a healer, maybe someone that could help. Maybe Damien and Orion would know what to do? They generally seemed to know more than him and three heads were better than one.
"Whew, that's quite a run!" Aiden stated as he came to a stop briefly on a hut that was still standing. He had already made it to halfway through the city being in the exact middle of it. People were still scurrying off here and there, bodies still littered the ground, and chaos was still all around him. Unfortunately, Aiden was only one person. All he could do was help another single person, which was what he planned on doing. The problem with his situation though was to try and find Damien and Orion.
"Now...where did those two get off to?" Aiden spoke to himself, not really knowing if the bard was even conscious to hear him. Aiden looked all around. Even with his new senses due to being a Dragoon it was difficult to detect anything that might tell him where his friends were. "Hm...they can't have...then again, Damien's portaling...no, he wouldn't at a time like this." It then hit him, maybe Damien went to the inn? Remy and Bradley were, after all, people he knew here. Damien, although he'd not admit it but Aiden knew this of him, would be worried for their sakes.
"Aha! I've got it! The inn!" Aiden exclaimed before glancing at the bard's form. "No worries, ol' man! I'm getting you help soon enough!" Aiden stated cheerfully before speeding off in the direction where he knew the inn to be. Not even aware of the fact that Damien had already left there and was headed outside of town nor that Orion, too, was headed in the same direction.
----------------------------
Damien didn't mean the woman offense when he had simply lifted her and slung her over his shoulder. If anything, it was to save her life. Just because she had lost her home did not mean life was over for her. That and he couldn't just leave her there wallowing in her despair. He couldn't save everyone but he couldn't just leave someone there to probably die. After all, the fires around the place were spreading and debris from nearby buildings was falling. If that wasn't enough, there was the chance of ending up trampled by panicked people. It was best to just get her out of the city. There, he hoped to find Remy and Bradley as well.
Thankfully, as he went, Judy didn't seem to resist him. She was far too despaired to do so it seemed. As he went, Damien wondered where Orion and Aiden were. Maybe they were headed for outside the city too? "Hm, I'd better tear open a portal then...it'll be easier."
With that, Damien ripped open a portal and stepped through it. It's destination would take him to outside the city where people, located there, would jump back in surprise the minute he stepped out of it. Which was exactly what had happened. Gently, Damien set Judy down and looked around the sea of heads.
"Orion! Aiden!" Damien called but received no answer.

Everywhere they turned there was destruction. Orion witnessed destroyed homes, craters of all size, broken rubble, fire, and occasionally a dead body. It was the last that disturbed Orion the most. More than once he almost came to a complete stop after witnessing some of the states that these bodies were left in. Orion had seen death before, but never like this!
A steady knot was tightening his stomach, causing it to cramp as they walked. During their travel they had come across some survivors. They joined them, making what started as a party of three to grow. "I heard from someone that they have tents raised outside the city. That's where people are going! Are we heading there?" Someone asked Ryu.
With Orion carrying the silent Amber in his arms, people were reluctant to approach him. Additionally Orion had a very flat affect at the moment which did not help his appearance. Add the beard and long hair and he was probably not the friendliest looking sort. One person did approach him, a short girl probably no older than thirteen. "Excuse me mister? Are we going outside the city? They say that's where everyone has gathered. My parents are probably there right? They sent me to get bread. I got the bread, but when I got back there was only a hole where my home should be. They'll be there right? And Billy too! Billy's only a baby."
Orion glanced down. He felt a lump in his throat as he tried to speak. What could he tell this girl? Most likely her parents were dead, but he didn't know that for sure. "I'm... I'm sure they'll be there." Orion tried to reassure her. But he had no clue as to where they were going. He was letting Ryu lead.
----------------
Not knowing that Damien had just appeared outside the city and in front of the field of people who had gathered around it, Lakari watched as a series of corridors of darkness opened all around him. One by one they came, dressed in whatever uniform their Dark Head wanted them to wear. They bore all kinds of weapons, armors, and shields. Lakari spotted the four heads as well among them. He waited for them to join him. It was time to get to work.
---------------
Julian sat at the edge of insanity. At least his mind did anyway. He was frozen in shock. Suddenly the screams he had heard while leaving the city had come to have a new meaning to him. This had been his fault. He had just killed thousands of people! Gazing down at his hands, he spotted that his hands were shaking. Tears were streaming down his face.
Forcing himself to look up, Julian locked eyes on the rising smoke that came from the city. It was coming for him! The smoke and ashes of the city and its people. He could hear the screams of the dead within that smoke, coming closer and closer as it floated into the air.
He had to get away! Julian, spun about and began to force his way through the crowd. More than one he shoved someone out of his way as he fought to run away from that smoke. If he didn't run it would kill him! Just like he had killed everyone within the city.

Rekka, as they went, couldn't help but glance at the turmoil that they passed. Unfortunately, there was only so much that they could do. Little by little, as time progressed and their travel went, people began to gather in number. All of them followed Ryo while Rekka walked alongside him. He prevented her from getting jostled on her blind side. Honestly, it was strange relying on someone else to keep an eye on one's blind side. After all, she had barely known her cousin. The two were like strangers. Was it really alright to trust him enough to protect her on her blind side? Despite her uncertainty, Ryo had helped them a few times. He was genuine.
It was depressing to see what had been done to her mother's homeworld. It was far more depressing to know that she couldn't do anything about it. As they went, Rekka did her best to not get too worked up over it. It didn't take long before someone had asked Ryo if they were headed for outside the city. All Ryo did was simply nod before Rekka spoke for him since not many probably saw the nod. "Yes, we're going to just outside the city." That appeared to be enough. Each new person they gained, the same question was repeated and answered by the rest of the group. On occasion, Rekka checked back to make sure that they hadn't lost the stranger carrying Amber. The last thing Rekka wanted to happen was to lose Amber too because of some stranger wandering astray whether it be on purpose or not. Since Bartimaeus wasn't around, Rekka only had Amber left. Hopefully, they would find the bard too. Rekka didn't want to lose either of them. Not after the three of them had come this far.
It would be a while yet before finally, the three of them would come upon the outside of the city with the raised tents. As soon as they had arrived, the group that had followed them had dispersed and expanded out to where the others were. As they came to this very spot, Rekka looked all around. It was much harder for her to see given the fact that she had only one eye so she had to turn her head more than others to get a good look around.
"I don't see him..." Rekka trailed off.
"You mean your other friend...Bartimaeus?" Ryo questioned her and Rekka had nodded.
"Where could he be in all of this?" Rekka murmured before turning back to where the stranger still held her friend. What to say? What to do? Bid him farewell and thank him? Or was this stranger staying with them for the moment?
"There you are!" came a voice. Rekka turned to find another stranger adorned in armor with a ragged looking cape. He had dark hair and blue eyes. The expression on his face, although it looked relieved, was serious. "...Er...what happened?" Damien questioned Orion then as he took sight of the woman in his friend's arms. She looked hurt and it was easy to see the odd angles her legs were in despite being carried. They looked grim. "...Ouch..." was all he could say to that. Yet, there was a pull from within. Damien couldn't understand it though. It was a sense of familiarity but he was certain he had never seen the woman before. In fact, now that he glanced at the other two nearby, the red heads, he felt a pull towards one of them as if he knew them too. It was strange to describe. Even now, as he stood there, Damien saw a kanji letter appear on one of the red heads' forehead. Damien's eyebrows furrowed but before he could say anything, the red haired girl had noticed someone.
"Judy!" Rekka exclaimed, running over to the elder woman who appeared to be in despair.
Damien took his mind off of the red head to look back over at Orion. "Hm...she clearly needs a healer..." Damien trailed off. "I think there's a tent somewhere...that white one!" Damien stated, pointing at it. "It's a healer's or doctor's tent. I had heard about it when I first got here."
------------------------------------
"Just...a...little bit...farther!" Aiden panted. He had ran at break neck speed for a Dragoon. He knew that his unknown friend, or so he liked to think of him as, needed help and probably immediately. In a way, Aiden was almost thankful for the distraction. It kept him from mourning again. At least, it would hold him off until later after he managed to save this guy or lose him to the void. Hopefully, Aiden would save this man. Aiden didn't want to see more suffering and death. Unfortunately, running through the city, he got a good look at the destruction and mayhem they were passing. So many people lost their homes, loved ones and even their lives in all of this. Just what had caused all of this? Was it because of that hooded figure again?
When he reached the edge of the city, Aiden almost dropped Bartimaeus in his surprise. After all, he had almost leapt on top of five people when he landed on the ground. "Whoa! Underestimated my leap!" Aiden said to no one in particular. The people he had suddenly dropped in the midst of were looking at him, quite surprised at what they were seeing. It looked like a boy but the way he had moved was like nothing they had ever seen before. Aiden took a moment to look around him before looking at them. "Uh, can anyone tell me where to find a healer or a doctor?" Aiden had asked of them. One person, still staring at Aiden like he had two heads, pointed in the direction of a white tent amidst the tan ones.
"Okay, thanks!" Aiden stated before zipping towards the tent. People jumped at the speed of which he moved before he finally reached the tent. Stepping inside, carrying Bartimaeus, Aiden waited for help to come for the middle aged man. He would not leave the man's side until he was sure he was alright. Ironically, in the very same tent, was Bradley and Remy. Bradley wasn't moving, in fact, it looked like he was dead since he was pale. Remy, on the other hand, appeared to be holding what had to be her newborn child. She appeared to be weeping.
------------------------------------
The four heads looked upon Lakari and then toward the destruction of Land of Dragons. The only female one of the group walked forward a bit as she placed her hands on her hips, surveying the scene. "Well, someone went and made a sure mess of things!" she sounded amused rather than upset.
"Never mind that,we've got a job to do." That had been one of the other males, one of the ones that wasn't Ivan. He was a tall, heavyset man made of thick muscle.
"Yes, good work, Lakari. I'm sure our god will be pleased with your work here..." It had been Ivan that spoke this time, allowing his hood to drop back as he surveyed the scene. He could sense something here in the city. His eyes narrowed a bit in amusement. "Heh, so the child is back..." he murmured to himself darkly. Ivan knew Damien was here.
"So...we going to do something or just stand here like a bunch of Turkeys waiting to drown ourselves?" asked the female head. Ivan rolled his eyes at her before turning toward Lakari.
"As per our master's pact, we await your orders," Ivan said to Lakari.

As they exited the city, Orion's arms began to tire. It wasn't an easy journey to travel through the broken remains of this city. He had lifted Amber for quite some time before they managed to reach one of the three gates out of the city. At the north gate, they found an exodus of people still leaving the city. The north gate had been nearest to their location, and also the place where the majority of the survivors were located.
Tents had been strung up to hold as many beds as possible. Every available bed was being used to help those who were in critical condition. Those who were the strongest in healing occupied the tents, doing the best to save as many lives as possible. Those with minor healing abilities walked among the crowds, healing anyone with less minor injuries.
Even in the chaos that had erupted from the destruction of the city, there was order. Those with power and brains called for order. It was thanks to these individuals that the tents had been brought up. The mayors of the surrounding villages came with their own healers in toe to help. They sat at the foot of the medical tents, speaking amongst each other about what to do next.
While all this occurred, Orion followed Ryu and Rekka. Following them into the crowd, a sudden familiar voice made him pause. Glancing to his right, Orion locked eyes on Damien. He approached carrying a woman of his own. "Hah! Imagine that. Both of us playing heroes." Orion thought to himself.
Approaching, Orion glanced down at Amber when Damien asked what happened to her. "She was trapped under some rubble. I did my best to help her, but not before her legs had been crushed. If it wasn't for these two I might have been stuck holding up that rubble."
When Rekka and Ryu approached, Orion was surprised to find out that they recognized the woman in Damien's arms. Upon seeing Rekka, a small hint of realization sparked in Judy's eyes.
"It's... It's gone! All gone!" Judy told Rekka, clearly still in shock.
The comment went unbeknownst to Orion though because he was focused on Damien. "That's where I'm heading right now. Have you seen Aiden?" Starting towards the tents again, Orion didn't mind breaking from Ryu and Rekka if they were to busy with Judy. He needed to get this girl... Amber! That was her name! He needed to get Amber to a medic.
-------------
Lakari watched them arrive. He couldn't help but smile in joyous glee. This was his army! While it wasn't the same as it was before, it would do. "It will have to do with the time I have left."
For having only a couple of months to plan, Lakari was surely doing well for himself. His last plan had been almost two hundred years in the making. The majority of it had gone off exactly as planned. There had been only one thing that he had not accounted for, Red Wilder the III. That the forces of light had created an army had been anticipated. However, Lakari had necromancy on his side. Never before had there been an army so powerful, and all because of the twelve individuals that had led it.
Victory had been all but guaranteed! Then he had appeared... a man from the Wilder Family, volunteering to take up the mantle of General. The forces of light rallied around this man as if he were a beacon of hope. It had come down to the final battle between the two of them. Lakari had once again overlooked this man. He was but an immortal and Lakari was a god!
Lakari had given the mortal a wound he would not be able to heal from. That was how it happened. Lakari had his back turned and it was in that moment that he lost. He had deemed Red Wilder III defeated. With his remaining strength, Red Wilder had sealed Lakari back within the rings. It was there that he once again found himself on the shore of forgetfulness. It was only when his son returned, carrying with him the Keyblade that Lakari now wielded, that he was able to return.
So it was that upon returning so too did his connection to the Serpent. His memories returned, and with them the realization that he had only months left. That was how this plan had come about. Now, with only ten days remaining, his plan was beginning to flower.
As the four heads joined him, Lakari let them converse with one another. It was only when Ivan addressed Lakari that the elf turned to them. "I have started the destruction for you. Go. Destroy this world, and be quick about it." Lakari told them.
Lakari did not wait for them an answer. He did not tell them how to do it. They were the four heads of the dark god. They were his chosen servants. Lakari figured that the dark god had his own ways of bringing about the destruction of the world. Lakari was simply staring it now, on his own terms. Once this world fell, there would be no more hiding. The forces of light would rally together once again. They would have to if they wished to stand a chance against the darkness. This time though, Lakari was prepared.
Within his mind the Serpent chuckled. "And what will you do when I gain control? Are you not curious as to what plans I have in store with this body. After all I will become Lakari. And you... You will just be that... that boy! That is if your plan actually works."
Lakari knew that the Serpent was playing games with him. It was doing all that it could to screw him over. "Do you hate me so much Serpent? You were as dependent upon me for survival as I was on you that day."
The Serpent laughed once more. "I do not hate anybody Lakari. I actually enjoy your presence. It is much easier to listen to the voice of one than the voices of millions within my own mind. But that is the life I have chosen for myself. I too was thrown out by my kind, for breaking the rules of our society. So you see we are very similar. But I am not a planner like you. I do not have plans of dominance and of grand dictatorship. I simply live to make you humans, elves, dwarves suffer. I enjoy it. And you are no different Lakari."

Aiden sat patiently next to Bartimaeus as a healer finally managed to come over. Quietly, the young Wilder waited to see how the man would do. He didn't expect him to wake up anytime soon. After all, he seemed pretty wiped out. Chances are, he might sleep through most of the chaos here. Maybe he should go and find the others? No doubt, they would be searching for him. At least, Aiden hoped that they would. He didn't want for them to end up on separate worlds. He'd hate it if they left him behind. Who else was he going to bug?
"Hm...I wonder where they are..." Aiden murmured to himself, lifting his gaze off of the middle aged man to look around in silent concern. He hadn't spoken to Remy since he did not want to invade on whatever turmoil she had. Honestly, it bothered him to have seen just what sort of state she had been in. All around, people had died, were dying or suffering by some means. It was a really tragic day for everyone. Aiden knew how they felt. He was doing his best to not let things get to him but it was difficult. The memory of his mother's dead body alongside his dying brother was gradually returning to him.
-----------------------------------------
Damien had set Judy down beforehand. When the red haired girl went over to her, Damien focused his attention on Orion. As Orion spoke, Damien gritted his teeth at the mention of crushed legs. As he looked down at the woman Orion carried, Damien believed that she was lucky to be unconscious throughout this entire thing. If she had been conscious there was no doubt in his mind that there would potentially be a lot of screaming. When Orion referred to the two red heads, Damien glanced over at them.
"Well, glad nothing happened to you in the mean time...er..." Damien trailed off as he brought his gaze back onto Orion then. "Sorry for running off..." Damien didn't want to say he had been trying to find Bradley and Remy then.
Whilst the two men were talking, Rekka had hurried over to Judy. It was frightening to see how Judy was. The turmoil had seemed to devastate her. "All gone?" Rekka repeated, wondering what the woman could mean. 'She could mean everything...the inn, the city, everything...' Rekka thought. "Well, it's going to be alright, Judy." Rekka turned to her cousin then. Amber needed to get to a healer or some sort of doctor and she didn't want to leave Judy by herself. In fact, the poor woman probably needed some medical attention too after what she went through. "Ryo, could you-" she made to say but caught on to what the others near them were saying about a healer's tent or medical tent. Following the direction Damien had been pointing in, Rekka spotted it.
"Help bring Judy to the medical tent. Amber and Judy will likely need help..." Rekka trailed off. Had she been the only one not hurt as much? What if she were the only one of the three that could move? What would she do from here on out if things got worse? 'Stop thinking so much, Rekka before you make yourself panic,' Rekka mentally scolded herself. 'Maybe Bartimaeus will be in there? Last I knew, he was hurt...if he's alive, he might be there...right?' Rekka also wondered as she walked over to where Damien and Orion were.
"Alright then, let's go." Damien looked over as Ryo had helped Judy to her feet, speaking words of consolation. Judy didn't seem intent to move on her own so he had to resort to carrying her as well. Rekka, on the other hand, had looked over at the two men as she approached. Even if Orion had helped Amber, Rekka didn't plan on letting them out of her sight.
"Headed for the tent then? Okay!" Rekka stated. She would walk with them there with Ryo and Judy in tow. Damien merely nodded in their direction before he started to head off as Orion questioned him about Aiden. Sighing, Damien looked back over at Orion and shook his head.
"I tried to catch him...but he was too fast for me. I'm not sure where he is." Damien could only guess as to why Aiden had run off. He was probably worried about his family. The family that hadn't treated him right and he had ran away from. The trek to the tent, in total, had been lengthy since there was a sea of people that they had to get through. By the time they were there, it was a relief. Damien didn't immediately see Remy or Aiden when he set foot into the place. Why didn't Damien portal them over? Well, he didn't want to risk someone accidentally stepping through on them and getting trapped within. Neither did Rekka notice Bartimaeus when she stepped in alongside Ryo and Judy.
-----------------------------------------
All four of the heads' gaze were now on Lakari when Ivan had asked him what their orders would be. When Lakari spoke, he merely told them to go and destroy the world. They were to be quick about it. "Well, looks like we can start here then with these innocents~!" the female Head spoke as she stepped forward.
"Alright, you torment them and we'll take care of the other residential areas of this world," Ivan told her. With that, each Head stepped through a portal making their way to each known large settlement in this world alone. All around, the place would be up in chaos everywhere.
"Oh, what fun! I've not gotten the chance to enjoy a massacre in such a long time," the female Head spoke to herself as she pulled out her weapons and made her way to where she could see people taking refuge. No one was aware of the immediate danger that had just joined their large group. Only when she would spring her attack would they know. "And...if my senses are correct...little Damien's here too~!" she said to herself in a sadistic, singsong voice as she went. Damien would be in for quite a surprise once she pinpointed where he was.

Bartimaeus awoke to a tingling feeling in his side. Eyes blinking away his comatose state, his vision focused. He was in a sitting position on some sort of bed. The man who had been healing him earlier had done the best he could to heal Baritmaeus and was already off to help other individuals. As so Bartimaeus couldn't help but wonder how he had gotten here.
The last thing that he remembered was that the world was ending and he was heading too... Realizing that he suddenly needed to get to the Wilder estate, Bartimaeus tried to move. It wasn't the smartest of choice because his wound had only been just healed shut. It would be a while before his body could make enough blood to replace what he lost. Low on blood, when he suddenly moved his body his head swam and his vision blurred.
"Woh!" He exclaimed as he slowly returned back to his sitting position. It looked like he wasn't going to be going anywhere soon.
When his vision finally returned, Bartimaeus was left with a throbbing headache. He didn't have the stamina to call up a hymn even if he wanted too. Bartimaeus wasn't going anywhere. He realized he was in a medical tent, probably either in the city or somewhere else. He had yet to notice Aiden who was standing nearby looking at Remy and her husband.
-------------
Given the serious state of Amber, it wasn't long before a woman came over. She had a single blue streak in her hair and was dressed in the dojo uniform. Also given her young age, anyone from the world could easily diverge two things about her. The first by the blue in her hair she was a Wilder, or related to one at least. The second was that she was a student at the dojo. Orion had seen the outfit on his brother when he had visited this world with Damien prior and on other people in the streets.
That wasn't all that important to Orion for now though. All he cared about was that someone was going to finally look at the girl in his arms. The young woman hurried over to them and guide them. "Clear me a bed!" She instructed.
Orion was surprised with how easily she put her arms underneath Amber and lifted her off him. If Amber's weight strained her it didn't show. Orion felt the relief of finally being able to lower his arms. They had been carrying Amber for quite some time, and now throbbed in response from the strain.
As a bed was cleared a man helped the woman lay Amber on it. They paid careful attention to her legs, making sure not to move them as much as possible. Talking amongst one another, they threw out random scientific words that Orion did not understand. He could not follow their conversation.
Unbeknownst to Orion, another individual had approached Rekka and Ryo to look at Judy as well. The tent they were in was quite large. In fact it was easily the largest of all the tents. There had to have been a hundred or so different people in different beds. Some individuals had others standing by their side, family members or friends most like. Others were all alone. There were only about a dozen of healers within the tent and two of them were now over here.
"Her injuries are mental not physical. I am sorry but there is nothing that we can do to heal her mind. She is in shock still. You say she has been like this for at least the last few hours correct?" The man who was talking to Rekka and Ryo asked.
Orion was standing next to Damien, but his eyes were still fixed on Rekka. Both of the healers had now turned to attempting to heal her legs. "I saw her... I saw her in my dreams. She was exactly how I found her, crushed under that rubble. That was how I knew I had to help her and find her."

Aiden had been so caught up in his thoughts, staring at Remy and Bradley, that he hadn't noticed when Bartimaeus woke up. So, when the older man had made a sudden noise, it was for the second time today that Aiden almost had a heart attack. Whirling on the spot, Aiden found the man he had helped was finally awake. Attention now on Bartimaeus, Aiden didn't realize that Damien and the others had just entered the tent. He had turned to face the bard at the right moment.
"You know, you've got a bad habit of scaring me half to death!" Aiden stated with a chuckle, getting over his surprise. Aiden went to where Bartimaeus could better see him as he plopped himself next to where Bartimaeus was resting. "You popped out of thin air!" Aiden told him. Curiously, he looked back at Bartimaeus. Who was this strange man?
"No matter, you're safe now. You had been pretty out of it though..." Aiden recalled having to carry the man all the way here by himself. If it weren't for the Dragoon blood in his veins, he might've not been able to carry the bard all the way out here. After all, Aiden's body wasn't full grown and he still looked marginally small compared to Damien and Orion, who were both young adults. Even though he was a teenager, he still looked smaller than they and was easily identified as a kid compared to them.
"Name's Aiden, Aiden Wilder. What's your's?" Aiden asked the man politely. Maybe he was too tired to talk?
--------------------------------
As soon as they had all entered the medical tent, Amber was spotted and help hurried over to them. A woman with a streak of blue in her hair took Amber from the strangers. As she barked at people to clear a bed for her, Rekka could only watch as the healers clustered around Amber. Would she be alright? While that thought occurred to her, Rekka made to take a step toward where they had taken Amber only for another healer to appear. Cutting her off from making way toward Amber, the healer asked Ryo and her what had been wrong with Judy.
"I'm not sure what's wrong...she won't respond well and keeps claiming it's all gone." The healer turned his attention onto Judy then. While he had been doing that, Rekka took her gaze off of Judy, Ryo and proceeded to look around the tent from where she had been standing. Since she had only one eye, she could only see so much on one side. Turning to look over at the other, she didn't see Bartimaeus whom would be blocked from her view given the fact that Aiden sat in her line of sight. The healer eventually brought her attention back over to what was going on with Judy as he asked Rekka and Ryo another question, claiming there was nothing that could be done.
"I'm not sure how long she's been in this state. It could have been a few hours. Should we just cover her up in a blanket then?" The healer went and fetched Judy a blanket. Covering Judy up in it, Rekka glanced back over where Amber was being taken care of. Should she go over? No, she would be in the way. Still, a part of her was telling her to go over. At the very least, she should thank the random stranger for helping with Amber. If he hadn't been doing what he had been doing, Rekka and Ryo would've passed by without knowing it had been Amber under all of that rubble.
Whilst the healers were tending to the unknown woman Orion had found and helped, Damien looked over at Orion when he spoke. In all the time he had known Orion, which hadn't been for very long, he hadn't shown signs of foresight. Damien just looked at him quietly for a moment in silence. How was he suppose to react to that? It was definitely strange.
"If you foresee anything with either of us dying, do us a favor and not tell us that, okay?" Damien said with a hint of amusement in his voice despite being serious when he had said it. "So you saw her in your dreams, eh? Odd. Er...not calling you odd, just the situation odd." He glanced out over at the sea of heads around them. It wasn't easy to pinpoint a head of blue hair in all of this given the fact there were many heads of blue hair around them. "Since I'm fairly certain you're beyond puberty, I think what you experienced was a premonition. Maybe you've a gift of foresight but don't know the extent of it yet." Damien had looked back over at Orion then.
"When I find Aiden, I might strangle him. How are we suppose to find a single head of blue hair in a sea of many heads of blue hair?" Damien gestured around them. He hadn't been lying when he said that. There were a lot of Wilders around them, even those that were distantly related had some sort of blue in their hair. Damien let out a sigh before a sudden voice made him look over.
"Sorry for not saying this sooner but thank you for finding and helping Amber," Rekka said, looking over at Orion then. "If you hadn't noticed her there, we wouldn't have found her. Thanks for carrying her too." It was awkward to thank a stranger but Rekka knew that they owed him thanks. He had, after all, saved Amber's life. "Not to overhear or anything but are you guys looking for someone too?" Maybe that would be a good way of repaying them by helping them find a friend of their's? Sure, it might be small but it was something. Right now, she held herself back from going over to where Amber was. The healers, she was sure, needed their entire focus on her. If Rekka went over to ask, they'd only shoo her away. She couldn't help but look over wondering if she would be okay.
"OH! Er...sorry for not saying this sooner but my name's Rekka, as you know my friend over there is Amber. The other red head is my cousin, Ryo and the woman is Judy. Who are you guys?"

Bartimaeus, stuck in the chair, had his back to Amber and Rekka. He had never met Ryo, so even if he had seen him he would not have recognized him. Additionally Aiden suddenly appeared to his left, calling his attention to him. Glancing at him, Bartimaeus would have guessed that he was a young teenager. Even though he was sixteen, he seemed small overall.
There was no mistaking the blue in his hair though. Bartimaeus figured he was a Wilder before he even opened his mouth. Hearing Aiden mention about his "scarring him" Bartimaeus couldn't help but smile. Suddenly popping into thin air probably was a bit frightening. Giving a small laugh, Bartimaeus rubbed the back of his head as if soothing himself. "Ya I tend to do that sometimes."
Letting Aiden introduce himself, Bartimaeus took his stretched out hand and shook it. "I have had many different names, but my friends call me Bartimaeus." He told him. "I take it you were the one who found me and brought me here than? Tell me, what happened to the estates? Did everyone manage to get out safely?" Bartimaeus had no clue as to how much Aiden knew about the people at the estates but he had to ask. He still clung on hope that they might be alive. "Do you know if Kaylee Wilder made it out? She would have had a son named Brian, probably a couple years older than yourself."
---------------
Listening to Damien's response, Orion wouldn't have exactly called his dreams premonitions. Even though that was exactly what they seemed to be, he didn't really believe they were real. Well at least not all of his dreams. There had been some dreams where he was sure they had been real, like the one about Amber. The dream he had with Lakari and the heads of the Destroyer had been like that too. It had been very real like.
"I don't have them all the time. I've only had one other dream like this one. Oddly enough that dream did include you. We were at some other world, filled with plateaus and barren land. We were going to meet four figures in battle and there were two others next to us. I couldn't see who they were though. But that isn't going to happen. Such a world doesn't exist anyway." There was more to the dream, but Orion couldn't remember it. The dream had occurred a long time ago, around the time he had first met Damien actually. He was only telling him now because he was suddenly reminded of it.
Before Damien could respond, Rekka made her appearance. Orion was surprised to hear her thank him for helping her friend. There was no need for thanks. "You are welcome, but I didn't do anything anyone else in my position would do." Orion told her. He wasn't big on receiving complements.
"Nice to meet you, Rekka. My name is Orion. This is my friend Damien. We actually sort of just... showed up in the middle of the destruction. We had a friend with us, Aiden Wilder, but we sort of split up when we got here. We haven't seen him since..." Damien was right. How were they supposed to track down the young dragoon when the place was filled with Wilders!

Aiden looked jovially over at this stranger he had helped. The youth always liked talking to people regardless of who they were. Well, so long as they weren't anyone like Damien's adoptive father. When he had informed the man that he had scared Aiden twice today, the man just seemed to smile. At least he had managed to put a smile on the elder man's face. In such times as these, it was difficult to be happy. There was just too much pain and suffering all around. Aiden, in a way, was using this mysterious man as a distraction from his own pain and suffering.
"You do that sometimes? Huh, my friend Damien can do stuff like that too...although probably not right out of thin air. He can portal just about anywhere!"
When the two of them shook hands, Aiden listened as the man informed him that he went by many names but his friends called him Bartimaeus. "Heh, so I guess this means we're friends then?" Aiden said with a chuckle. The young Wilder gave pause as Bartimaeus questioned him about being the one that had brought him there. "Yes, I found you...on accident." When Bartimaeus mentioned the estate, the Dojo region, Aiden felt a jolt of trepidation. Maybe he wouldn't be able to distract himself with this man? "...There were a lot of bodies..."
What the man asked him next made Aiden's heart almost stop. Brian, he could understand being known but...his mother? Aiden couldn't help but look over at Bartimaeus with wide eyes, surprise written all over his face. Then, a look of pain swept over him. Aiden forced his gaze downward as he prepared to answer the man. How did he know them though? Brian Wilder was known but barely anyone knew his mother. Brian hadn't exactly talked much about his family, least of all their mother. "...You're wrong...she had two sons...I'm the youngest."
"As for mother....and Brian..." Aiden had to breathe in at that moment to help himself continue on as a lump was forming in his throat then making it hard to speak. "They're dead."
-------------------------------------------
Damien looked back over at Orion in confusion as he told him that he had another dream like the one with Amber. It was different. Damien and Orion were both in it and there were two other individuals involved. Orion couldn't make them out though. The four of them were going to battle four foes from the sound of it somewhere with plateaus and barren land. Orion didn't think it was going to happen though.
"If you say so..." Damien allowed Orion to dismiss it for the time being. It probably worried him to have such a dream and finding that it came true. It would be best to let Orion's mind rest with ease. The more burden on one's mind, the worse things got for them. Before anything more could be said, Rekka had wandered over to them. Damien looked back at the red head as Orion responded to her gratitude.
"Well, we're still grateful for your help." Rekka left it at that guessing this man was modest when it came to such things. Then, the man went on to introduce himself and the darker haired one. Orion had been Amber's savior and the darker haired one was Damien. According to Orion, they had happened upon the chaos taking place right in the midst of it all. They had a friend named Aiden Wilder but they had gotten separated.
"Oh boy...a Wilder...well, that won't be easy." No, it certainly wouldn't be. There were far too many in the tent as it was and in this world alone. "Well, if I find him, I'll let him know."
"Thank you...and what of your's?" Damien asked her.
"Oh, I'm trying to find a middle aged bard. He's been with us since the start of our journey. He acts like he's a teenager half the time. Goes by the name Bartimaeus, if that helps!"
"Alright, if we find him, we'll tell him." With that, Rekka nodded to them.
"I hope you guys find him soon then. Maybe we should split up then and look around? I'm heading that way to have a quick look. He's probably hurt like Amber too since he had an injury last I saw him." With that, Rekka headed toward the left where she had gestured toward in search of the bard and maybe their friend.
"I guess we're left with no choice but to split up and cover more ground." Damien took the center, looking for the young Dragoon.
-------------------------------------------
"How vulnerable~! How very vulnerable~!" the woman Head spoke to herself as she entered the encampment. From where she had entered it, she was on the far opposite end of Orion and the others. However, considering what she was about to do, it would only be a matter of moments before they heard news of the attack that she was about to do.
"Nighty night!" The woman spoke as she suddenly stabbed someone through the top of their skull and into their head. hey were dead before they knew it. Those around her let out screams of horror. There had also been a mixture of angry shouts in the den, telling her that there were those that intended to fight her.
"Oh, what music to my ears!" she said, getting into a battle ready stance as some Wilders and non-Wilder fighters confronted her.

((OOC: Hope this is alright. If you had something different in mind just let me know))
Bartimaeus disliked the look that crossed Aiden's face when Bartimaeus asked him about Brian and his mother. His heart sank at the look of pain in his face. That could only mean one thing! Sure enough Aiden voiced the truth, they had perished. Bartimaeus felt like someone had just punched him in the stomach. No! She couldn't be gone! And Brian...
Tears threatened to break free at that moment, and Bartimaeus was forced to blink rapidly to avoid them. "I... I am sorry." He finally managed to say. He truly meant it too. Bartimaeus hadn't known that Kaylee had birthed another son. Looking at Aiden now though, Bartimaeus could see Aiden's father in the boy's features.
"At least she was happy." He thought to himself. Truth be told, Bartimaeus would have made a lousy father. Amber and Rekka did not know the full story behind what had happened with Kaylee. What Rekka had said was right though, he had left her. But his leaving had not been his doing. Kaylee had been recently engaged when they had come across from each other. Bartimaeus had not known it until afterward. When it was discovered that she was pregnant, Bartimaeus had told Kaylee he wanted to do the right thing. It was then that she had told him that the right thing was to disappear.
Everything would have been fine, and at the time her words was all he needed to disappear from such a responsibility, if one of the maids hadn't seen Kaylee and Bartimaeus that night. When word came out she was pregnant, the rumors began. Bartimaeus was no where to be found, but the words spread throughout the city.
The rumors were never proven, and for all that Bartimaeus knew Kaylee was happy. But he had remained in contact with Kaylee. After all, Brian was his son. Even if he didn't know it.
----------------
Unaware that Bartimaeus and Aiden were even here, Orion continued to shift his gaze around the room as he looked for his friends. It would be too much to hope that they were here wouldn't it? Damien and Rekka were speaking, and Orion slightly followed the conversation.
It seemed that they were going to split up. Orion wondered if by chance they could be in a different tent, or not in a tent at all. They might still be in the city even! Rekka was taking to search for a friend of hers, if Orion had heard right it was a bard. "Heh. Hopefully he's better than Master." Orion thought to himself.
His master had been a bard, but he was a lousy singer. He couldn't write music worth a damn! Though his songs did have magical abilities. Apparently all bards had the potential of magical singing, but not all of them bothered to develop such a talent. It was mostly a forgotten art now, in favor of actual songs.
Orion figured that he should look outside. Damien could take this tent. Someone should take a look in the crowd. Not wanting to just leave though, Orion headed over towards where Damien was walking. He wanted to catch up to him so that he could tell him that he was going to try checking outside in the crowd.

Aiden and Brian were never told the truth. All this time, Aiden believed Brian had been his full blooded brother. Regardless of the difference between fathers, neither knew their dads anyway to even know well enough. It also didn't help that Kaylee spiraled into drugs and grief when Aiden's father died. Having been young at the time it happened, Aiden never really got to know his father. All he knew then was that his mother never really seemed to care anymore. Then, Brain, his only real family member at the time, gradually lost himself to the Dojo and forgot all about Aiden. It was around then that Aiden had been close to the age he was now and ran away from home. Why stay if no one cared?
"I...am the one who should be sorry..."
Aiden didn't look over at the older man, bringing his gaze away from him once more. It was painful to look at anyone right now while he fought with his emotions. "Maybe if I didn't run away those years back...I could've helped them..."
------------------------------
It was slightly easier to look for someone in a crowd of blue heads of hair. There seemed to be less different colored hair people as opposed to all the blue heads of hair. Rekka hoped that Damien and Orion would be able to find their friend. It would be a miracle to find a single Wilder in a sea of Wilders or part Wilders.
As she searched for Bartimaeus, the thought of the bard dying on them crept up on her. What if he had and the last thing she said was an insult? Rekka would hate herself for it if that were the case. The dread got to a point where she more hurriedly looked through her side.
------------------------------
Damien waded through people. He looked from side to side as he went. He had no idea that Orion was trying to catch up to him. Otherwise, he would've stopped to make it easier on his friend. Well, semi-friend. They didn't exactly make it to friend status just yet but they were starting to get along loads better.
"Where is that damn kid?" Damien growled, finding it hard to locate Aiden. There were far too many Wilders here!
------------------------------
While things were going on inside the tent, outside was chaotic. Things happened from one end of the refugee camp and escalated throughout it. A single Head of the four, one would think only a single person could do only so much. However, in a matter of moments, the camp was in an uproar. The screaming wouldn't reach Orion and the others until by the time Orion would head outside to look.

Bartimaues felt bad for Aiden. He had just lost his mother and his brother. While Bartimaeus was not the most empathetic person in the world, he did feel sorry for the kid. Bartimaeus was not much older than Aiden was now when he had lost his own parents.
"It's alright kid. Don't blame yourself for their deaths. None of us knew that a meteor shower would strike the city."
Not for one second did Bartimaeus think that this was just some accident caused by nature. The meteor shower had been an attack. By who though, he wasn't too sure. If Bartimaeus ever found out... Well there would be hell to pay.
--------------
Orion finally caught up with Damien. "Damien, I'm going to check outside the tent for Aiden." He informed him before he headed towards the exit. Just as he reached outside of the tent he heard the screams from afar. Standing in front of the opening of the tent he could see the fleet of people as they scattered in all directions. At the center of the destruction was a woman. Orion didn't recognize her, but he recognized the cloak she wore.
"They're here! I should have known they were behind this!" Orion said under clutched teeth. His anger was beginning to build, and the darkness within him intensified it. Without a second thought he ran towards her direction. By the gods he wasn't going to let them harm anyone else!
---------------
Inside the tent Bartimaeus heard the screams. Something was happening outside the tent! Aiden and he were fairly close to the opening. It was a surprise that neither Bartimaeus and Aiden nor Orion and Damien had run into each other. The screaming wasn't super loud. Given the amount of grunts and pains of the people inside the tent, the screams could have easily been mistaken for chatter. But Bartimaeus had sharp ears as should Aiden with his new abilities.
A look of worry crossed Bartimaeus as he glanced at his young friend. There was trouble! Bartimaeus hadn't had nearly enough time to recuperate. He was maybe at fifteen percent. Still fifteen percent was better than zero. "Something's happening." He told Aiden, glancing towards the door. "Friend I think we may be needed. I need you to help me up." He said as he forced himself to sit up. By the gods, Bartimaeus was not going to let another meteor shower strike them again!

"If only I could have...spent more time...with them before this...all happened..." Aiden lamented to himself. It was loud enough to be overheard though. Right now, he was in too much pain to care whether or not anyone heard him. As he sat there, gradually, a noise reached his ears. However, Aiden didn't choose to act upon it right now. Why couldn't things just leave him alone already? Why couldn't he just be allowed to grieve? It didn't even occur to him right now that Orion and Damien were looking for him.
When the man spoke, who somehow knew his mother and brother, Aiden just shook his head. "Wh-When I got there...mom was...was already dead...but...but Brian, he was...he was hurt...so much. I...I couldn't do anything for him. I...couldn't save him..." Aiden wiped away tears that spilled from his eyes then. It really tore him up to have lost his mother and brother in one night. Granted, he hadn't the best of relations with them but they were still his family and he had still, evidently, loved them. Now that they were gone, it hurt. Aiden was mad at himself for having run away and not staying with them a little longer.
"You don't get it...I ran away before all this! If I had been around more..." Aiden just let out a sigh. There was no use explaining to an adult what you meant. Now that he thought about it, explaining yourself to an adult was rather feeble in this situation when you had the intent of saying something crazy. The thing that Aiden wanted to say was he thought if he had been there, things could have turned out differently. He did not put in the problem the thought that he could have died along with them instead of living on.
---------------------------
Rekka frowned as she got to a certain point in the tent. There were far too many people here. On top of it, she had a funny feeling that she might have passed the middle aged bard at some point. Had she been going the wrong way? All of these things crossed her mind then as she took pause. Pausing, after wading through the crowd, Rekka looked all around her. Not a damn person nearest her was of any different color in hair.
'Gee, they weren't kidding when they said the Wilder family was large!' Rekka thought with some annoyance. She couldn't hate these people. If anything, it was just frustrating trying to find her friends in all of this. Well, she at least knew where Amber currently lay. She wasn't sure why but she had this nagging feeling like she should return to her friend's side. Biting her lip, after one last glance around at where she had been, Rekka turned around and started to make her way back over to where she knew Amber was.
'I hope, at least, Bartimaeus will be alright,' she thought as she made her way back to Amber to see how things were going in the healing process for her.
---------------------------
Damien nearly jumped out of his skin when Orion had suddenly appeared near him. Bringing his gaze onto Orion, he heard the ex-prince state that he would be looking outside the tent for Aiden. Damien gave a nod to confirm that he had heard him. Maybe Aiden was actually outside being the chatter bug that he was? Still, Damien didn't think even Aiden would be cheerful in such a setting. It was far too depressing and troubling. Did the child worry about his family? Speaking of family, where was Remy and her's?
As if fate wanted it, Damien finally spotted Remy. From where he was standing, Damien noticed the condition Bradley seemed to be in. He was laying rather still and looked deathly ill judging by how pale he was. Remy, who was next to him, was holding their infant child and in tears. Most likely, she was worried or had thought Bradley dead. Well, honestly, there was no true telling what was wrong from afar but it was clear to Damien that something was amiss.
'I'm sorry, Remy...I'm not sure what happened here but every time I come here, it seems like nothing but tragedy seems to follow me. I want to say hello but I cannot. You, of all people, whom I consider to be family even though we are of no relation,' Damien thought to himself, as if he were speaking to her as he looked upon the sad scene. No, he could not cause her anymore pain right now in showing up. Damien believed that he was causing her this rotten luck in appearing in this world. After all, it had to have been because of him that the orphanage had burned down. Someone, at that time, had been out to get him and they took it out on the orphanage filled with innocent lives. No, Damien would spare Remy of his presence even though she likely didn't blame him for the things that happened.
'Goodbye,' Damien thought as he turned away. It was the hardest thing he ever did.
---------------------------
As Aiden remained by Bartimaeus's side in his grief, a noise started to really prickle his ears. Something was wrong. Slowly, the youth lifted his head and cocked it to the side as if in thought. He wasn't initially interested in it at first but then it became more obvious. Forgetting his emotional pain right now, Aiden sat up more as his gaze turned toward the entrance. Yes, there was no mistaking the fact that he was hearing screaming. People were in danger!
Sure enough, the middle aged man, Bartimaeus, caught on to what was going on. "Yes...danger..." Aiden replied before hearing the bard asking him to get him back onto his feet. "Er, you really should rest!" Aiden replied but could see that this man wouldn't just simply rest. Letting out a sigh, Aiden shook his head before walking over and helping Bartimaeus back to his feet. If Bartimaeus thought the child small, he would be surprised to see how much strength the teenager appeared to have when he helped Bartimaeus without so much as a struggle.
"Alright, where it is that you want to go?" Aiden asked him curiously. Already, the screaming was growing louder, making Aiden more antsy. Something bad was making its way here.
---------------------------
Yes, the Order of the Destroyer was here. Well, only one of the Four heads but just one, as proven, was dangerous on their own. For the moment, Damien wasn't yet aware of their presence but eventually, even he would hear outside the screams taking place. For now, the woman head took to lopping off other people's heads in her amusement. She, not once, removed her hood as she giggled gleefully at the fearful people all around.
"My what fun to be had! If only I can slaughter you all in just one sitting, I will have broken my record~!" she said to no one in particular despite speaking to the people around her.
Then, movement had caught her eye. Lifting her gaze, the woman spotted Orion coming her way. For a brief moment, she blinked. Then, she recognized his appearance. He had been that light haired man, once upon a time. The one that had been accompanying Damien last she knew. The look of anger that was written all over his face brought a wicked smile to her face. So he wanted to challenge her? Then a challenge he was going to get! Getting into a stance, she stood there mockingly.
"Come and get it~!" she mused.
