((OOC: It is alright by me))
The water was coming and boy was it coming everywhere! Before Orion even knew it, the water was reaching his knees. It made it hard to move and even harder to see what the heck was going on. Aiden was battling an undead Bartimaeus. Rekka was dodging attacks from swords. And Orion? Well he was just trying to stay alive. Others were still trying to kill them, and Orion's only means of defense was his wind ability. He sent blasts of wind at everyone who came within distance.
In that regard the water was helpful. When he knocked someone back, the water would rush them past Orion and to god knows where. But still the water was rising. They couldn't keep battling like this! Orion hadn't even an idea that this was Damien's doing. Then again Damien probably hadn't realized it yet either.
"This is getting dangerous! I need to get out of here!" He thought to himself. Things were getting even more out of control as the water became a rushing river.
It was about that time that Damien showed up. Seeing him grab Rekka and throw her into a portal as he dodged blows from Bartimaeus, Orion made his way over towards the group. Watching Aiden disappear into the portal and then Kane, Orion was glad to oblige as well. He leaped in!
------------
First came Rekka. Amber hadn't seen the portal open behind her, but she heard the thump of someone landing on the ground. Amber had seen the water and was very worried for her friend. Although Rekka was soaked, it was good to see her alive. "Your back!" She exclaimed.
Here on the mountain the water did not reach them. She could see the destruction the monsoon ability was causing down below.
Next came Aiden, in a similar thrown fashion, followed by the tall warrior, Orion, and finally Damien. Well they were all alive. And not a moment too soon it looked like.
"Anyone know how to heal? I have a dagger in my shoulder." Orion said nonchalantly.
Amber had to blink for a moment the way he had said it like it wasn't that big of a deal. Amber did have healing abilities but she had yet to tap into her elemental magic the way Rekka, Damien, and now Orion had and were beginning too. But she did know how to address a wound. She had multiple experiences with it on the battle field.
"Come here. We need to take the dagger out first. I can't heal you, but the dagger has to come out first either way, and preferably in a fashion that doesn't cut any arteries." Seeing that Amber really couldn't walk over to Orion, he proceeded to head over to her and sit down behind her in an indian style fashion.
Orion, sitting in front of her, hoped she knew what she was doing. He had just met this woman not to long ago after all. "You do know what you are doing right?" He asked.
Amber rolled her eyes. "Yes I know what I'm doing I'm a soldier." Glancing at the wound she could see that the wound had been stabbed in the deltoid muscle. That was why it hung limply next to him. The blade was preventing him from moving his shoulder which severely limited the movement of his arm.
Taking out the blade Amber would have to pull it out so that the blade did not move. Otherwise it might sever the cephalic vane. A cut vein would cause a lot of blood very quickly. "I need to take out the blade but don't you move!"
Orion rolled his eyes. He was tired. He was exhausted. And damnit his shoulder hurt! Obviously he shouldn't move. "Just take it out already, woman!"
Amber blinked. "Why I never?! You know what!" Amber grabbed the hilt and without a moment's breath pulled out the blade! Orion let out a shrill from the pain. Luckily she had pulled out the blade without cutting the vein!
"Damn that hurts!"
Amber tossed the blade aside. "Stupid men!" With the dagger out, Orion's wound was free to be healed.

Rekka hadn't expected to be suddenly lifted and thrown through a portal. Honestly, she was surprised. At first, she had thought that she was under attack. When no attack came, she soon realized that the person who tossed her had intended to rescue her. How did she know this? Well, after being thrown and landing in a heap on the ground on top of a mountain and hearing a familiar voice alerted her to where she was. Coughing and spluttering from the rain and the throw, Rekka pushed herself up off the ground. There, she saw Amber.
"What do you mean? Of course I'm back!" Rekka retorted with a smile. It soon went away when she caught sight of what was happening in the distance. It was where they had been last, it seemed. That rushing water was washing everything away. "...Those poor people..." she murmured.
Aiden had landed haphazardly on the ground as well. When he recovered, he got back to his feet, turning Damien. "What the hell was that for?!" Kane stood by in silence, a grim silence, as Damien exited nearby and then Orion. As soon as Orion had entered, Damien closed the portal.
"It's called saving your lives from...that." Damien indicated the scene before them all. Ahead of them, far below, they could see things getting washed away. Everything and everyone caught up in it got washed away. Damien wasn't sure why but he felt responsible. Just what happened back there? Aiden gritted his teeth and clenched his fists.
"So?! You should have left me there! They needed me!" Aiden exclaimed.
"There is no sense in remaining in a place filled with death, your majesty. Dying, yourself, will not resolve what is happening," Kane interjected. Aiden turned his gaze onto him, slowly.
"Then what good were we?! We didn't do anything! In the end, we lost again! We lost a friend, family members...and most of all...some of us lost our homes." Aiden cast his gaze downward then. Tears were in his eyes.
"Unfortunately, it cannot be helped. That is the way of life. Not everything is fair...and we lose a lot of things that we hold dear."
Throughout, Damien was silent as he looked out at what had happened. Where had that large amount of water suddenly come from? He wasn't sure why but he dreaded the answer to that fact. Had he done it? Out of them, Damien was the only one that could summon water but...how did it happen? If he did that, what did it mean? No doubt, he'd be a danger to the rest of them. Would leaving be the best option?
Damien's thoughts were interrupted when Orion brought up the fact that he was injured. As Orion sat down in front of Amber while she removed the dagger, albeit in an amusing fashion, the wound remained. Who could heal? Rekka looked from Orion to Amber. "Er...if he starts bleeding like crazy the best I could do is cauterize the wound...and I'm pretty sure we all don't want me to do that, heh!" Rekka stated as she rubbed the back of her head. She didn't want to try doing such a thing lest she accidentally set the entire person aflame. No, that wouldn't be a wise thing for her to try.
Aiden couldn't heal. He had never exhibited the ability to heal others. Damien, as far as he knew, lacked any healing abilities. "I'm sorry but I don't think I've any healing abilities. I could wash out the wound, at best." As he said this, Damien walked over to Orion and knelt down. As he did so, he let out a small stream of water from his hand to cleanse Orion's shoulder. "Sorry if it stings." Once it was clean, Damien stood back up again and then turned away.
Damien walked a bit away from them all and looked out at the scene in grim silence. 'Did I do that?' he wondered. Although his face didn't show it, his eyes looked troubled but no one would be able to see that unless they walked over and looked into them since he was turned away from the rest of them. Behind him, Damien could hear Aiden's sobbing. The teenager had lost his home.
Since she could hear the kid crying too, Rekka got to her feet. She had a nasty scratch running along her side but she ignored it. It wasn't anything compared to Orion's injury anyway so she bared with it. Kane seemed to be trying to comfort Aiden but he had rejected the tall warrior's attempts. "Hey, I know you lost your home...but you'll be alright. You're still here." Aiden lifted his gaze, although tears welled from his eyes, he locked eyes with her one.
"Yeah but my family's dead!"
Rekka hadn't expected that response but she could understand his feelings. Her cousin along with her aunt, were likely dead. "I...I'm sorry. I know how that feels...my aunt and cousin are probably dead too...and, my father's dead. So, I understand how you feel." There was a silence as Aiden just shook his head.
"Look, if it helps, know that you're not alone. Your friends are still here with you. You're still alive. All that matters right now is that you are able to carry on. Let those that you have lost live in your heart. So long as you're still alive, they too are also still alive."
Aiden wiped at his face before slowly nodding. "I...guess you're right."
Damien just kept quiet the entire time, letting the others converse as he gazed out at the scenery almost haunted. Just what were they going to do? This world was screwed. What of the other worlds out there?

Orion grumbled about the pain in his shoulder. Damien cleaned the wound, but he didn't have any healing abilities in terms of being able to close the wound. When he cleaned the wound, Orion winced from the sharp pain it caused. Amber, still sitting behind Orion, reached into her pack and pulled out some thread and needle.
While she didn't know how to heal, she did know how to stitch a wound. She didnIt seemed it would be up to Amber once more to tie the wound. "Now shut up so I can stitch this wound." She told Orion.
To distract himself, Orion listened to the interaction between Kane, Rekka and Aiden. It was hard to see his young friend take things so personal. It was understandable that Aiden felt responsible. If anyone could empathize with how Aiden felt it was probably Orion. He was a prince after all. His entire upbringing had been focused on the fact that he would one day be king.
That was a lot of responsibility to put on someone. And Aiden was just thrown into that world, via Kane. As Amber worked on his back, he dug his fingers into the earth. Stitching wasn't a fun experience.
As Rekka did her best to console Aiden, she seemed to get him to calm down some what. Glancing over at Damien, Orion spotted him gazing into the distance. Orion didn't know what he was thinking, but if he did he would probably agree with his questioning. Just what was going on with the other worlds right now?
Finishing up, Amber told him, "Try not to move it so much otherwise the stitches will break open." Mumbling in agreement, Orion stood back up.
Well now what? "What now...?" He asked aloud. Where did they go from here? Staying in this world wasn't going to be a good idea.
Amber was the first to answer. "I think we need to go back home. Someone needs to tell the king about what happened here. I don't think they are going to stop with this world."
Glancing down below, Amber watched the monsoon cause more destruction. When it comes to weather, there is no telling friend from foe. That river was going to harm anyone and everyone in its wake.
Orion hated to agree, but the girl was probably right. He didn't think the Order of the Destroyer was going to stop here. And if that elf really was the former Emperor, then things have gotten much more dangerous. Orion hated to admit it, but maybe it was time to visit his family. But how would they react to his return? He's been outlawed. Heck he was told he'd be arrested if he even entered his world.
Orion glanced at Aiden and Damien. What did they think?

Aiden hated himself. If he hadn't run away and had been more involved with his family, there was probably a chance that he could have saved them. Of course, this was just his guilt talking. Aiden had survivor's guilt for what had happened to his mother and brother. This time, Aiden truly was an orphan. On top of it all, Kane revealed the news that he was the sole surviving royal family member of the Land of Dragons. The news not only shocked him but it nearly crushed him. How the hell was he going to take on the responsibility of ruling a kingdom? Let alone one that was already in ruins with its people under attack? It was insanity!
Rekka felt bad for Aiden. He was just a kid and he lost so much already. She spoke what words she could think of for comfort that would make sense. Honestly, she was just winging it. She knew how he felt, of course, but not as strongly. She hoped her words would reach him. For the time being, it looked as though it were calming Aiden down.
During the moment of silence, Rekka, Aiden, Kane and Damien heard Orion ask what they should do now. That was a good question. It was Amber who answered him. According to her, they should head home and tell the king what happened. After giving Aiden a reassuring pat on his shoulder, Rekka walked toward where Amber was.
"Yeah, I can't think of where else to go...but how are we going to get there? I don't have the Portal Beans on me."
Aiden, pulling himself out of it, looked from Damien to the girls. "Damien can tear open a portal for you to get there." At this, Damien pulled himself out of his thoughts and turned to face where the others were.
"If Aiden and Orion are in agreement, I won't find that a problem. We can stay until we know where we're going to go next. Of course, only if Aiden and Orion want to go. Otherwise, we'll just tear a portal open to where you want to go and then go our separate ways."
Aiden shook his head. "I've no objections." Kane gave a nod of agreement too. He'd go anywhere Aiden would go.

Orion listened to Aiden and Damien's response. He liked the idea of going to Amber's world better than the idea he had. The longer he could spend avoiding his family the better!
Amber, who hadn't realized that they were out of portal beans, was relieved to learn that Damien could transport them. Perhaps it would make things a bit easier if the men did come around. "One of them can help me get around. I'd hate to have Rekka do all the work." Amber was worried about being a burden to her friend.
"That's alright with me. Beats staying around here. I don't think there's much we can do here right now. If we really want a chance against these guys we'd need an army."
What Orion said was true. And that was one reason why Amber wanted to inform the king. "Well I'm ready to go whenever you guys are." Though she'd need some help getting up and to the portal.

Damien could see that the others were in agreement. He watched Orion as the white haired former prince responded. He was fine with the idea. The only good they would do is if they had an army to counter the one that had come here. "...What's left of that army..." Damien murmured. Really, he didn't think many could avoid that water that suddenly came rushing in.
"Alright, looks like we're headed for Cornelia then!" Rekka went over to where Amber was and helped her friend back onto her feet. She didn't mind helping Amber. Although, she hoped that Amber would soon learn how to walk with her limb missing. She didn't want anything bad to happen to Amber because of her leg. As she helped her friend stand, her mind wandered back to the time she first came to that world. What would the army there make her do? Would they consider Rekka's job done? She didn't want to be separated from Amber. Not only that but they also had to report the deaths of their friends. Rekka wasn't sure if she was ready for it all but where else could they go?
Damien extended a hand where no one was standing and tore open a portal. "Alright, ladies first." Rekka rose a brow at that but shrugged it off before glancing over at Amber.
"Alright, let's go!" With that, Rekka helped Amber into the portal into Cornelia. Aiden walked alongside Kane, silently, as they both entered the portal. Seeing them go, Damien then turned his gaze onto Orion. "Is your shoulder alright? Anyway, let's go." With that, Damien entered through the portal and once Orion entered it, he'd close it up and they would soon find themselves in the midst of Cornelia.
