Seamus laughed. " Well I'll give you a hint." He said. " Only one of us here has been trained by a real keyblade master since he was five. They also happen to be the only one who has two wives because of a memory loss mishap. They also happen to be the fastest person I know. He has also saved multiple worlds."
" Um Seamus," Zero said. " He hasn't traveled with us for very long. I think we could be here all day and he wouldn't guess right."
" Oh right," Seamus laughed. " It's my best friend Riley. A true keyblade master."
Riley blushed. He didn't like people knowing he had two wives. Most people find it beyond weird. It didn't help afterwards he was turned into a girl. " You know I'm not a master yet." He said. " There is still a lot I have to learn and master. I wasn't even chosen by my keyblade like my master was."
" True, but you mastered the element of chaos." Zero said. " Being able to use chaos is a feat in itself. You may be inpatient but I know you'll make it one day. Who knows maybe once this is all over maybe David could teach you a thing or too."

David's eyes widened slightly as his question was answered. "Wow. I'd be willing to bet you know more about it than I do though." He summoned Shattered Sunset again and looked at it. "I just got mine a year ago, after finding the ruins of my home world. I haven't been trained in it at all." With a sigh, he returned his keyblade to the void and turned away from the group a bit.
"Most of my power comes from my unique heritage and training given before the fall of my home." He turned back to face them again, head lowered a bit. He never really liked remembering the fall, particularly what happened to him. With a great effort, he raised his head again and pushed the sorrow away. "Let's get out of this place. I'm sure some sunlight would be welcome about now."

They were all surprised that David only had his keyblade for only a year. With him being older they all thought he had it for a while. Besides Riley and his master they had never met another keyblader. Besides them they only heard legends of past keyblade masters on their home planet. It seemed that David's home world was also destroyed just like theirs.
Before Zero could ask what happened it was obvious that he didn't want to talk about it. It was understandable, no one liked to talk about their own being destroyed. Besides the people who did it that is. " Ya we should get going, we can't lose that goo."
Kai opened the door as the others walked out. When they walked out it was a whole new world. There were a few clouds in the blue sky. The sun shined brightly over the land. Besides the stone path there seemed to be nothing but forest. Far off in the distance tall stone towers seemed to reach to sky. Some could even be seen in the town further down the path.
" Now this is more like it," Seamus said. " There's a whole new world for us to explore out here. Jsu imagine all the things we can discover in this place. Look at all those towers. I bet there's a lot of secrets in them just waiting to be discovered."
" Yes but before we do that there is still the matter of fingering out where we are." Kai said. " Then there's that goo. I have a very bad feeling about it."
" Now that you mentioned it," Riley started. " When David cut it in half it didn't even try to defend itself. Plus It did turn into each of us. That goo didn't turn into another heartless like I thought it would. It was in a hurry to get out of there. Like it had to go back to someone or something. Let's get to that town, I have a feeling it's heading there. Maybe one of the townsfolk has something to do with it."
" We shouldn't appear hostile." Zero warned them. " The last thing we need is a whole town trying to get us."

Just stepping outside lifted David's mood considerably. He took a deep breath of the forest air and stretched his arms a little as he enjoyed the sunlight. "I had almost forgotten how good the sun felt. My last job was in Traverse Town, and I never made it back to Radiant Garden before winding up here." As the others discussed their next step, David scanned the immediate area for any unusual auras. Well, he tried to at least, but the sheer amount of life in a forest tends to get in the way of singling out any one aura.
David tuned back in to the conversation right as Riley started talking. He had to admit, that goo was definitely going somewhere specific. Zero had a point as well, though. "Well, it's a bit difficult to hide the fact that I'm a fighter of some kind, thanks to my armor. You four should be able to stay relatively unnoticed though."

" Unnoticed.....ya." Riley said. " If my past adventures have thought me anything it's that everyone will be focusing on me." If there was one thing he hated about going to new worlds it was how others treated him. It was all because of his curse combined with what he was wearing. To be fair he was wearing these clothes long before he was cursed.
" Welll maybe if you covered up more." Kai said.
" Hey I've been wearing this long before I was cursed. Why stop now?"
" They'll be time for wardrobe later." Zero said. " In the meantime let's try to find out all that we know from the town." Even with all of them a whole town would drain them if not overpower them. They had to be smart about this." If that heartless really is working with someone in the town they'll be expecting us." He started up the road as the others followed.
As the town came closer into view they could see a sign over the entrance. It read " Ciro city". It was so close but it wasn't Ziro city. The stone tower clearly had windows and sttod out from everything else in the city. There were only small wooden houses that made up the city. As they made it to the city there were no visible people outside. The only sign of life was the light coming from the tower and a large building.
" We should stick together," Zero said. " That tower looks like we can find something of use in it. There's also that other building. This may not be the city that was on the wall but there is still a chance we'll find out something here."

David laughed at Riley's comments and Kai's ribbing. "Well, they're just as likely to focus on me, seeing as I'm almost a foot taller than most of you and the only one in armor. I could just throw it in a Corridor of Darkness, but I may need it later."
After the abundance of life in the forest, the town's emptiness created an eerie atmosphere. The light on the tower instantly made David suspicious though. "We should probably check the building before the tower. If there are enemies around here, it would be pretty easy for them to trap us in the upper areas of the tower."

Zero looked towards the building. There was a greater chance they would see other people in there than the tower. Why were there only two buildings with light coming from them? Where was everyone? " He's right. I have a feeling there are people in there. Maybe they'll know something about us being in the prison, and that heartless. "
Kai nodded to him. " You lead the way. You have the most experience when it comes to making peace with people."
Zero led them to the building. It was only one story tall but was very wide. The doors were made of stone and above them a sign read " Town Hall." Zero pushed open the doors, revealing a large room. There were a lot of people sitting in rows of chairs. A red and gold carpet lead to a pedestal were a man was speaking.
His voice was deep and demanding. " The prince is still going on his rampage across the land. He will not stop until he finds what he wants. The dark creatures seem to have a connection to him. We must do what we can to prevent this city from falling too. From now on we will no longer allow outsiders in. Too many people are forming an alliance with him. We can not risk any of them getting into this city."
" But what about supplies?" A man asked. " The crop will not grow this year."
" And what about that dark beast in the cave?" Another asked. " With that monster still in their we cannot mine resources. We need a group of brave men to slay the beast!"
There were many compliants among everyone. All the fighting stopped when Zero and the others walked threw the doors. All eyes went to them. It was obvious that these people didn't want them here."
"Outsiders!" The man on the pedestal yelled.
" Spies!" One woman yelled. " Working for the prince no doubt!"
" Throw them in the prison!"
" Hang them by their necks!"
" Talk about a not so warm welcome" Seamus said.

David glanced over at Seamus as the cries continued. "No kidding. I've gotten better welcomes from Heartless before." He spread his arms in what was hopefully a non-threatening manner. "We have no idea who this prince is, or even what world we're on. We don't want any trouble, we just want to know what is going on here."
He appeared relaxed from the outside, but his body was tense under his armor. If push came to shove he'd fight, but only with his fists. He didn't want to kill anyone after all.

" We come here in peace." Zero tried to explain. " We all woke up in that prison back there. None of us have even been to this world before." He was trying to find the best way to explain what happened to these people. They seemed scared. He could tell they didn't want to lose their town. He understood they didn't want to take any chances. " If you could just hear us out"
" They're liers! No one's been in that prison for weeks. Not since that creature went in there. No one dares to go in there, and those who do don't make it out alive!"
" But we did," Zero told them. " We killed that beast before we came here. If there's anything you know about it please tell us. We would like to get rid of them just as much as you all do."
" Don't trust them!"
" Make them prove it! Put the men to work!"
" Put the girl in a kitchen!"
" She would be no good there. Just look at how she dresses. I bet I know what job she would be good at"
" Excuse me?!" Riley asked. His face turned a bright red. He started to go up to them yelling before Seamus and Zero held him back. He was puching in the direction of the townsfolk. " Let me at 'em! Let , me at 'em!" He protested. " I'll tear them lim from lim! I'll beat them into a bloody pulp!"
" Please Riley clam down! Zero said.
" They didn't mean it." Seamus said. " Their world is obviously still in that phase!"
Just then a man ran threw the doors. He was out of breath. " Help! Help!" He yelled. After trying to catch his breath he started talking again. " The beast! The beast! It struck again! It burned the crops and took my daughter! Ran off back to it's cave it did! Someone please save my daughter!"

David fought back a completely inappropriate urge to laugh at Riley's reaction to the townsfolk. That impulse quickly died down as the panicked father stumbled in screaming about his daughter. While the situation was very grim, it did give David an idea of how to get the people's trust.
As usual for his plans, it completely disregarded his own safety.
He turned back to the other four, hoping that they would like the plan as well. "If we kill the thing that took this guy's daughter, I bet these people will trust us a bit more. It's most likely some form of Heartless anyhow, so it's kind of our job as Wielders to get rid of it."

Zero nodded to David as Kai took over holding Riley back for him. It did seem returning the farmer's daughter waas the only way these people would trust them. They would at the very least get information out of them. They did seem to know something about what happened in the prison and that heartless. It was possible that the heartless and the beast could be related in some form.
Zero walked down the aile and stopped before the man at the pedestal. " If you would hear out plead." He began. " The five of us have been on many adventures and quests before. We even done a a lot of them by ourselves. We could take care of this beast and bring the girl back. The only thing we ask in return is information."
The man just looked at Zero." Many have tried and many have failed. But if you insist then you may try your hand at it. But be warned, the beast is a strange one. There is something about it that isn't normal. It thinks like a person, outsmarted a lot of us it has. The beast lives out in that cave beyond the wooden bridge. We used to mine there until it moved in."
" Just you wait. You'll be able to mine there once more." Zero assured him. He came back to the others. " Looks like we have another quest on our hands."
The father came to them. " Thank you! Thank you! You don't know how much my daughter means to me. You should take this." He took out an old necklace. It had a single pearl on it. " If you take thix she'll know you're not an enemy. "
Riley, having clamed down a bit, took the necklace. He understood what is was like to lose someone you loved. " You can trust us sir. We will bring your daughter back."

David loosened up his shoulders and cracked his knuckles. Just the thought of doing something like this reminded him of that first year on Radiant Garden. He had literally had nothing but the clothes on his back and an old sword back then. "Sounds like a plan. Kill the beast, save the girl. Can't get much simpler than that."
His expression softened as he looked over at the father. "I know far too well the pain of losing loved ones. I swear to you, we will rescue your daughter." His violet eyes glowed slightly with the intensity of his determination as he looked back to the rest of the group. "I'm ready whenever you are."

" Then let's get going." Zero said. " The sooner we get there the higher the chance ofmher being ok is."Zero led the others outside. After a while they found the wooden bridge. After crossing it the cave stood before them.
The cave was dark, no light came from it. There wear old mine carts outside and a rail system that went into the cave. When they got insidit was almost like the prison. There were more skeletons ut less blood. Clearly these were a lot older than the ones in the prison. Water slowly dripped from the roof of the cave. The walls showed signs of being mined.
Kai summoned another fire orb to light the way. From where they were stamding the cave seemed to go on forever. Ahead of them were signs of battles. Holes in the walls and burn marks eveywhere. Old weapons lined the floor, rusted, broken, and covered in old blood stains.

David scanned the interior of the cave warily, seeking any sign of the beast's aura. Despite his earlier confidence, now that they were in the cave itself he was a bit nervous. There was no way he would turn back until the daughter was rescued though, so he continued deeper with the rest of them.
That didn't stop him from complaining a little though.
"Just once, I'd like to fight something in a place I don't have to worry about falling on my head. This is nearly as bad as the prison!" He definitely wasn't going to use his Aspect in such tight quarters. Unless he wanted a cave-in, at least.

"look at it this way," Seamus said. " We can be miserable in here, ore we can try and stay headlight-hearted about the whole matter."
" That was bad even for you Seamus." Kai said.
" Ya but look at it this way," Riley said. " After this we can all have drinks. Oh I forgot we're miners."
" Booooo," Kai said.
" Alright you guys." Zero said. They came to a fork in the road. Even with Kai's fire orb they couldn't see far down the three paths. It was obvious only one way led to the beast. The question was which one was it. There was no way to tell which one was the right way. " All these paths look long. If we go down the wrong one it could be a while before we get back here. No sense in wasting time."
Riley took aclose look at the ground. The railx went in all three directions. The one to the left looked untouched. The one on the rightwas no different. But when he looked at the one in the middle there was something odd about it. Before it seemed to disappear into the darkness of the cave there were holes in it. The holes looked about the size a beast's foot prints were. Plus along the sides there were burn marks. " Down the middle! It's the only way where the rail has been damaged!"

David barked out a quick laugh at Riley's words. "You mean YOU are minors. I'm 23, so I can have all the drinks I want." He conveniently left out the fact that he was usually much to busy to indulge much. They didn't need to know that particular tidbit.
Once they decided which path to take, David used the edge of his gauntlet to scratch an arrow pointing back the way they came into the ground. "These old mines tend to go in circles sometimes. Let's mark the way out like this."

Kai nodded to David. He led the way with his fire orb lighting the way. Along the way there were even more skeletons than before. They seemed to be forming piles. This was a good sign, were there are piles of bones there are great beast that cause the piles.
They went past a lot of mine shafts, with empty mine carts and rusted mining tools. There was a large hole where they would be a dead end. " This must be the laire of the beast." Kai said. When they walked through the hole they found themselves in a very large room with a high roof.
The walls were covered in shiny gems. There were piles upon piles of bones, gold, and rare valuables. There were old weapons and mining tools everywhere. Holes in the ground and walls showed signs of battles. The blood stains showed many fallen men. There was a large pool of darkness in the center of the room. Across the large pool lied a red-headed girl, who was knocked out.
The darkness rose up from the pool and took tbe shape of a sphere. It started cracking. The sphere broke revealing the darkness to have taken the form of a dragon. It was black and purple. It had blazing red eyes and claws. It's wings were great and had were wide. Fire came out of it's mouth with each breath it took. It roared at the heroes.
" So you took the for of a dragon eh?!" Kai yelled. " If it's a dragon fight you want it's a dragon fight you'll get!" A blazing hot fire formed in his hand. It took the shape of a red card. A fire wrapped around his arm. He lifted up his arm up high as the red card began to be cloaked in fire.
Before Kai could summon his dragon Zero stopped him. " Kai don't!" He pleaded. " There's still the girl! We can't risk a dragon on dragon duel! We have to somehow get her out of harms way before we can even think about it."
" Leave that to me." Riley said. The dragon fired three large fire balls at them. Riley started running towards the dragon at his fastest speed, which was faster than any human would reach without some sort of magic. He avoided the fire balls and slided under the dragon. When he got to the other side of it he got back on his feet and went straight for the gkrl.

David summoned his keyblade with a flourish just as the dark dragon revealed itself, and couldn't help but be a bit sarcastic. "Great, just what I wanted to fight! At least this place is big enough to fight in though!" With a short battle cry, he merged the Light and Darkness within his body and triggered his Twilight Augmentation. Power surged through him as his strength and speed doubled for the next few minutes. "I'll cover Riley!"
With speeds matching an Olympic sprinter, David dashed to the left of the dragon. He skidded to a stop about halfway between it and Riley, now at the girl's side, and slammed his blade into the ground with another cry. "Crystal Genesis!" This time he didn't even bother trying to his the dragon with it. Instead, he created a line of spikes lengthwise, forming a low wall of diamond hard crystal that he could use for cover.

Riley got to where the girl was and picked her up. He carried her in his arms as he jumped behind the pile of gold. He laid her down gently. He then put up a wall of rocks between her and the gold, to protect her from any safe attacks. He got back on top of the gold. " She's safe for now!" He yelled. " Now Kai!"
The remaining three narrowly dodged the fire balls, but the shockwave sent them falling to the ground. Seamus teleported to where David was and started running to where Riley. He stopped when he was right in between him and the dragon. They were both the same distance from him. " I'll keep him from coming this way Riley! You just focus on ranged attacks." His shurikens appeared in his hands. He started spinning them in his hands. Three fiery tornadoes appeared around Seamus. One on each side and one behind him. He seemed to have full control over them. " Zero! Kai! David! Keep it's attention away from me. I'm gonna ram this things into it! Riley as soon as these hit him I want you hit him with a powerful ranged attack!"
The dragon turned around towards Riley Seamus and David. It looked to where the girl used to be and let out a roar that shook the room. Zero summoned his sword and shot a beam of lighting at the dragon. It hit it dead in it's left wing. Zero knew Seamus' attack would do a lot of damage to the beast. If he and Kai ganged up on it then Seamus would have an opening.
Kai followed Zero's lead. He shot a fire ball high above the dragon. Six fire balls dropped out of it. They landed right on top of the dragon. Their combination attack got the dragon's attention. It turned to them. It charged at them, shooting fire balls at them.

As the others began the attack, David focused on the remaining Light within him and forced it into his keyblade, once more triggering his Lightblade ability. He hesitated for just a moment, waiting for the perfect time to strike. He found it when the dragon turned away from him to focus on Zero and Kai, exposing its back to David.
With his temporary boosts he jumped straight onto the beast's back, using it as a spring board to vault over it. Along the way the Shattered Sunset flashed out at the base of it's right wing. Finally, he landed close behind Zero and Kai just as his Twilight Augmentation ended. "I won't be able to do that again for a few minutes, so I hope it was worth it!"
