Zero nodded. " If the key Riley found is the right key, then all we need to do if find that city. Then we'll find that library." He was determined to save this world. He took the family vow to protect those in need and to do whatever it takes to stop villains. Plus this was personal, he knew Ren.
Riley was ready to get a chance at Ren again. He was his twin so he felt everything Ren was doing was his fault. He failed at stopping Ren from destroying a few worlds that included their own. He wasn't going to let that happen again. He felt it, he had gotten stronger since last time. There wss only one thing he was worried about, the prince. None of them knew how powerful he was ot what he could do. Plus if Ren was still here there was the chance of others he knew being here too. " Alright, let's go. Just watch we'll get there and save this world faster than you can say good game!" He pit one foot off the ground to run.
" Good game." Seamus said.
Riley stopped dead in his tracks. " Say it slower...." He whined.

David laughed at Seamus and Riley's antics. It seemed that he was doing that quite a bit on this quest. Not that he minded of course. Things had been far too serious the past few months, it was good to be able to have some fun for a change. All things needed balance after all, much like Light and Darkness. Which reminded him...
David was always curious about other multi-Element users. He was the only one alive on his world, and the only one ever to actually be able to use his Elements, due to an interesting problem. "Hey Riley, your Chaos abilities use Light and Darkness right? As far as I know, unless there is some sort of third energy working as a catalyst, those two cancel each other out. How do you get around that?"

Before Riley could try to run out the door before Seamus could say anything David had asked him something. It was a very good question, Riley had to think back to his training with his master. " Ya it does use light and darkness. At first it was really hard, I could barely control darkness. But then my master was also a chaos user. She told me that I had to be able to balance light and darkness in order to use chaos. It takes a strong heart and a strong mind to be able to do that. It took a few years but I was finally able to do it. But right now I'm onky able to use chaos blast. I still need her to teach me more. I guess when you balance the two they become one and form chaos. At least that's what I think."
Seamus listened to Riley explain how he was able to use chaos. It kinda made sense to him. He was never able to balance the two. After he was experimented on he was very good with darkness, but then he was never able to use light anymore. He knew Zero was trying to become a light user but never had the time too. Maybe once thisnis all over he'll try to use light again.

David nodded at Riley's explanation. "I can't control Chaos, so the two destroy each other when I try to merge them. I have to use what most people call Chi, or Spirit, energy to combine them into Twilight." Somehow he always managed to find people similar to him on his travels. How it kept happening, he had no idea.
David walked out the door, but suddenly a ringing noise started up from inside his armor. He quickly brought out what appeared to be a cellphone, and answered it. "Hey sis, what's up? Yeah, I somehow fell into another world on the way back. No, I'm fine, but I'm going to stick around here. Because there's some other people here from off world, and the townsfolk want our help. Sure, once this is over I'll see if they want to. Alright, see ya later."
He pocketed the phone again, smiling a bit sheepishly at the others. "Sorry that was my older sister. If I hadn't been knocked out of my Corridor of Darkness, I would have been home a few hours ago, so she was worried."

As the otbers followed David he got a phone call. It turned out to be his older sister, who was worried about him. This got Riley to think about his wives. He was suppose to be trying to find them. He has been looking for them in other worlds but everytime he ended up going on some quest in that world. He would be looking for them here if they weren't caught up in this quest.
" Ya I know the feeling." Riley said. " I haven't seen my wives since we were separated two years ago. I bet they're worried sick. But i know they're ok, they can take care of themselves. Heck they're stronger than I am."
" Tell me about it." Seamus said. " Maple's strength and Winda's brain are as unnatural as your speed."
" Anyway," Zero said. " We're suppose to follow a stone path right? Well I think from where he saw it the path started somewhere in that forest we pasted not too long ago. I think we should look there first."

David chuckled a bit as they started toward the forest. "Yeah, Jennifer's just as strong as I am. I just hope she hasn't been annoying people too much. She tends to be a bit hyper." He continued looking for the path as they moved deeper, until a low grumbling broke through the silence.
David rubbed the back of his neck in embarrassment at the noise. "Sorry, I haven't eaten since lunch yesterday." He reached into the same area he stored his phone and pulled out a protein bar, which was devoured in a few bites. "My Chi energy is produced by my body, so if I'm hungry it gets difficult to use my Twilight skills."

As they went through the forest it seemed as if it went on forever. Pretty soon there was no sign of the town they left. The trees were nearly sky high and blocked a lot of sunlight. There were many vines coming down from the trees. Besides plant life there were no signs of animal life besides distant sounds.
It was then the stone path was in front of them. There was one problem, it went in four different directions. Down the four different ways the path led to different things. One way it led to what seemed to be ancient ruins. The opposite way it led to a stone city. Ahead it led to a very tall tower that seemed taller than the trees. The last way went on for some time before going deep into a valley.
" So whatdoes your body take?" Seamus asked. " Regular or premium?"
" Great now where to we go?" Zero asked.
" I know we shouldn't go whest." Riley laughed.

David laughed as they came to the crossroads. "I'm not a car Seamus. I just need something with a lot of protein and I'm good." He continued chuckling softly as he tried to figure out which way they needed to go. He even used his Auric Sight, but found no clues as to the correct direction.
He'd just have to use good old fashioned deductive reasoning.
He started by pointing to the stone city. "Well, I doubt that city is Ziro, otherwise it wouldn't be a 'Lost City.'" He turned and pointed to the ruins next. "And unless someone blew up the city, I don't think that it would become ruins in less than fifty years, and I don't think the evil price dude is that old." He continued to the tower. "While the tower is quite big, again I don't think it can qualify as a city by itself." He turned once more to point down the path that lead toward the valley. "That leaves this way. Worlds without high levels of technology tend to view mountains and valleys as borders, so it would make sense to have a hidden city on the other side of that valley."

As they were trying to figure out where to go David made very good points about the four places. It seemed the valley was the modt logical place to look for a lost city. From where they were the valley seemed very deep and went on for a while. There was some light which meant there was some source of light down there. It couldn't have been city lights, this world was medieval. There was a chance it came from lava, or maybe glowing stones.
" So that settles that." Zero said. " To the valley it is." He then thought about something. The writing on the walls only said something about the city, a key, and a library. It said nothing about the prince or the sealed away sword. " I have a feeling the other three places will have some significance. After all not everything was explained from the writing. I have a feeling we'll find out more once we find that library. We should remember this place just in case we do have to go to the other places."

David walked over to a nearby tree and placed his hand on it's trunk. A few moments passed as he concentrated, then a very faint purple aura appeared around the tree. Satisfied, he returned to the others as the glow faded into the wood. "Now I'll be able to find that tree from just about anywhere, so we can get back no matter what."
David started walking toward the valley as he continued talking to the others. "By the way, when we get finished here my sister wants to meet you guys. We've got some connections in major worlds too, if you need to find something."

" Well that takes care of that." Seamus said as David marked the tree. David then told them about how his sister wanted to meet them. " It would be nice to relax after all this is over. Especially if every heartless is gonna be like that last one.".
" Don't remind me," Zero said. He then remembered the heartless from the prison. " Let's get going, I have a feeling we'll be seeing that heartless from the prison again." Zero led them down the stone path. As they got closer and closer to the valley the sounds of animals died down till the only sound left was their footsteps.
Zero stopped when the path went down into the valley. There was a thick fog in the valley. The light that was coming from it was indeed coming from lava. There were some holes in the ground that were filled with lava. There was some plant life in the valley, mostly grass and moss. In the very middle of the valley there was a city made of stone.
There seemed to be somelight coming from there but not much. What was causing the light was anyone's guess. There was a mote of gray water around the city and a lone wooden bridge that led into the city. There was not a single sound coming from the city. " This is it guys." Kai said. " Whatever is in that city just has to be a clue to finding that sword. Let's just hope the prince has2 beaten us there." He created a ball of fire to light the way and led them down the path.

The dense fog created an eerie atmosphere withing the valley, reminding David of several horror games he had played when he was younger. The odd juxtaposition of lava pools and normal plant life did nothing to change his mind either. He stayed on edge as they entered the stone city, half expecting some hideous monster to attack.
The silence weighed upon him terribly, so thick that it nearly made it hard to breathe. He couldn't sense anything from the city, and he had no way to see auras without actually seeing the being itself. For the first time since he arrived on this world, he was running blind. "Let's just get to this library quickly. I don't like being out in the open like this."

As they entered the city the first thing they noticed was the lack of people. The paths were all empty with no trace of being used for some time. All the buildings were made of stone, from the houses to the towers. All of the windows were closed and so were all the doors. There was one thing that stood out, the towers. There were many of them, all nearly sky high.
It was the tower that was in the dead center of the town that stood out the most. Light was coming from it, in fact the only light in the whole city came from there. Dark clouds were above it. The light coming from there was flickering, like it came from a candle. " We'll have to look there first." Zero said. " There has to be a reason the only light is coming from there."
The door to the tower was locked, so Riley used his keyblade to open it. The door opened with a creak. Bats flew over them when the door opened. The floor was wooden and there was a red carpet that made a path. The light was indeed coming from candles, as candles lined the walls. Paintings also lined the walls. There were paintings of battles and of kings and queens. There were bookshelves all around, all filled with books.

David gazed into the tower with nothing short of awe. He had never seen so many books in one place, except possibly the library in Radiant Garden's castle. The musty smell of aged books hit him as he stepped though the doorway, alongside the burning scent of the numerous candles. "Well, I think we've found the library. Thank Kingdom Hearts it hasn't burned down with all this fire."
He wandered aimlessly as he explored the shelves, hoping to find some clue as to what was going on. Most of the books appeared quite old, some even looked ready to crumble into dust at the slightest touch. None of those would contain what they sought though. "Look for something fairly recent. I doubt anything older than thirty years will have anything useful in it."

" Alright then," Zero said. " Split up. We'll check this tower floor by floor. Also look for anything that has to do with seals. It might talk about the seal that was placed on the sword. Anything that is over thirty years old don't bother with it unless it says something about the magic sword or Ziro city." They all split up in the room, all looking in different places. As David saw most of the books were pretty old. Some had holes in them, some were broken, and some were completely covered in dust.
Before long Kai came across an odd looking book. It was alone on a wooden table. The title of the book read " War for the sword of power." He picked it up and opened it. " Hey guys I found something about the sword!" They all come over to where Kai was. Kai flipped through some pages before he found what he was looking for. " Listen to this. The sword of power was made long ago in dark times. Its power was near godlike, it gave the weilder powerful magic. War broke out over the sword. The war came to an end with the sword being hidden away. Many years later the sword was brought before the king as an offering. It was brought by a boy from another world. From that daythe king went mad with power, he could not control his new powers. Another war broke out that ended with the kings death. The sword was then sealed away. The only map to find it was locked away deep in Ziro city.... that's all it says."

David rolled his eyes at the vague summary of what had happened. "Great, so we're looking for some sort of Excalibur type sword then? And why does it sound like you're friend was the one that gave the old king the sword?" He shook his head in frustration and glanced around the room. The map they wanted could be anywhere in this place!
After a few more minutes of fruitless searching David thought of something. If he was hiding a map to a godlike sword, he wouldn't put it on the bottom floor of the tower. He sighed and stared looking for a way up. "Why do I get the feeling that the map is at the top of this tower?"

" It sounds like something Ren would do." Zero said. " Keep the book Kai and try to find anything else in it." There didn't seem to be anyway up the rest of the tower. " Great now we have to find some hidden passage way of some kind." Zero started looking among the books, looking for any book that stood out among the rest.
There was one book that stood out from all the others in the room. A single golden book that looked almost new. When Zero pulled it an opening in the wall opened up. In it there was a stone stair case that went up to the next floor. The stone had moss on it and lots of dust.
The way up was dark, but it led to a floor with light. There was a big table in the middle of the room. On that table was a small map of the area around the city. From the valley, the ruins, the other city, and that lone tower. There was a red circle around the ruins. That map seemed old, but not that old, like it wasn't made not too long ago.

"Looks like you were right Zero. The rest of the areas were important." Truth be told, he was surprised they hadn't run into anyone yet. Usually the bad guys were one step ahead until the very end. Still, this presented an interesting opportunity. If they were somehow ahead of the enemy, then maybe they could stop them right here.
David rolled up the map and tucked it away within his armor. "Let's take this and that book with us. If we've got the only copies, then the prince won't have any clue where to look." He couldn't shake the feeling that something was going to happen at the ruins though.

" That's right, but we may encounter him at one of these places." Zero said. " There is no doubt in my mind we'll end up meeting Ren at one point. That always happens." The rest of the room was quite different from the last one. Instead of paintings of people there were paintings of places. There was one of some old castle, one of the prison they were all in, and one of a volcano.
The biggest one of all was a painting of a city in the sky. The city was golden but it didn't seem peaceful. There was a large dark cloud over the city, and it seemed that there were many heartless in the city. Rikey looked closely at the painting. " Hey! That's the same heartless we fought in the cave!" He pointy at the heartless in the painting. It was in the same dragon warrior form it changed into in the cave. It even had the same weapons it used to fight before it copyed theirs. It was standing on top of a white tower, looking down below.

David sighed in resignation at Zero's worlds. "Well, hopefully it won't happen until after we get the sword." He didn't want to fight a former friend of their's, particularly if he had to use his Aspect form. There was no way for David to hold back in that form, and he was fairly certain that his new friends wouldn't like Ren being killed.
He quickly moved to look at the painting Riley mentioned. It did indeed appear to be the same Heartless. "That almost looks like it's the leader of the Heartless." Without even thinking about it his right hand came up and pinched the bridge of his nose, unknowingly imitating Leon. "That's just great. Not only to we have to deal with a crazy prince looking for a godlike sword, but a sentient, humanoid Heartless as well? Things just keep getting better and better..."
