“We do need to dive” The explanation kept Yuto's attention, especially the comments about ravines and floating. If it involved swimming he was game, it didn't matter how deep. He followed Neku deeper into the ocean, taking a deep breath before following the teen under the surface of the water. Following Neku's lead, Yuto began to grab as many oysters as he could hold before coming up for air. "Well, this looks like a decent start. We gonna drop 'em off at the beach?" It seemed like a waste of energy to swim back and forth, but he chose not to comment until he knew what Neku wanted to do.
If they did have to swim back, Yuto would follow. "Where are we gonna drop these? By where we were sitting?" It would help to know where these things were going so he could keep from messing up. It would also help if Neku decided that Yuto's portals would help, so the man would know where to open them.

Leading an eager Henoke through the beach caused Mei to giggle. His overall demeanor was simply contagious, but in a good way. Mei herself couldn’t remember a time where she was smiling that much —and that was saying a lot.
"So, Mei, you grew up here, yeah?" Henoke’s attempt to engage in conversation was appreciated, and Mei tilted her head a bit as she thought about the answer while leading him. They were nearing the area she knew was nearby. With that fact reassured, Mei turned towards Henoke.
“Well… Yeah —I was born here” she replied, nodding a bit, “Although I’m not the type to explore, there are a few areas outside the town I’m fond of… Ones I did find on my own, but they’re not the safest by any means.”
She stopped after a bit, looking with a faint smile at the area they were not at. It was still the same shoreline, although one could see a hurdle of giant rocks by the sea, a single pale tree amidst the many rocks it was surrounded by. It had a few green leaves, but its most iconic characteristics were its flower petals. Very few of them detached themselves along the wind, a pale pink floating by the waves that rocked against the sand. At the opposite end, but still visible, was a tree trunk with a few wooden slabs nailed against it, leading to a decently sized treehouse.
“Here we are —this is our HQ” Mei greeted, “I’m sure we would’ve had to come here eventually, but since you were so eager to explore…”
Having grabbed a handful himself, Neku shook his head as he broke through the water’s surface. In his arms he carried the handful of oysters, the little treasure he had yet to confirm, as he walked towards Yuto back to the beach.
“We could open ‘em now, yeah” he nodded, “Unless you wanna leave ‘em there and go for a swim? I’m up for a race if ya want” he finished with a grin.
With a chuckle, he dropped the oysters once the waves reached sand, allowing Tori to see. With an impish grin, Neku looked her way, waving at her to nudge her into the water.
“C’mon —the water’s great!” he mentioned. “Heh…” with an amused scoff, Tori smirked, “…Know what? Maybe I will…” “That’s the spirit!”
As Neku cheered Tori to the sea, she stood up, looking at the shoreline before calmly heading their way, walking into the sea without much care. The cold water didn’t phase her —in fact, it was actually refreshing given the day’s heat. Neku nudged her way with the help of his elbow, somewhat wet given that he’d already dived deep into the water.
“You owe me a race, remember?” he pointed out, “What do ya say? We go for it?” “Depends if Yuto wants to join or not” Tori replied back.

Hearing Mei mention knowing about a few areas outside of town caught Henoke’s interest. Especially after hearing how most were not the ‘safest’ places to be. If there was one thing Henoke could enjoy, it was a good fight! Before he could press on the matter, they arrived at their destination, the sight distracting him from other questions. ”Woah!” Amongst the rocky sections of the shoreline up ahead was the isolated pale tree, pink petals flowing around it and into the air as they were jostled loose by the gentle oceanic breeze. ”Here we are—this is our HQ.” His golden eyes drank in the sight, wide and eager as they scanned over the treehouse. ”This’s cool! D'y'all build this?!” Rushing forward, Henoke was careful over the rocks, as he had gone barefoot on their excursion. Pulling his white t-shirt back on, as the teen didn’t want to scratch himself up while climbing around, Henoke made it to the bae of the tree that had the treehouse rather quickly.
”I’ve never been in a treehouse!” Though he wasn’t sure how correct his recollection was, he had no memories of such things from his childhood. Weird—considering all of the trees in the forest that had surrounded his home town. Losing himself to the activity, Henoke was already beginning to climb up before pausing and waiting for Mei, giving her a sheepish look as he just realized he had rushed ahead like usual. ”Hehe—you don’t mind, right?!” Giving her an earnest and hopeful look, Henoke was paused mid-climb, hoping that she had intended for them to go up into the awesome tree-fort.

He followed Neku to the shore, dropping his oysters in the same spot. "Nah, let's wait. Not like they're gonna go anywhere." If oysters began walking, there would be bigger problems than when they should be opened.
Smiling as Tori agreed to join them in the ocean, Yuto nodded. "Y'all're gonna need a ref for your race, right? I'm cool with doing that." A thought crossed his mind as an impish grin formed on his lips. "Matter'a fact, how bout I act as the halfway mark too? First to me and back wins." Before either of the other two could answer, Yuto opened a Corridor next to him and took a running start before jumping through. A beat later, the man reappeared a few feet above the ocean, about thirty feet out from the shore. "CANNONBAAAAALLL!!!" The following splash would be hard to miss. He reemerged, shaking his head and moving his hair out of his face before calling over with a wave. "Think this is far enough?" He had no problem moving closer or farther depending on what the two teens asked of him.

Mei smiled with unease at Henoke’s eagerness, although she appreciated it. Yet being who she was, Mei wasn’t one who could keep up with it, at some points finding it tiresome to chase after, but she didn’t mind the distraction. After all, even if she couldn’t keep up, she was having fun. So why would it be an issue?
She perked up as she noticed him going up the slabs, climbing his way to the treehouse. She pouted a bit, although thankful to see that Henoke had stopped to double-check. With a sigh, she shook her head.
“It’s not exactly nice, don’t you think?” she berated, “It’s best if we climb up whenever we have meetings. Ashe usually tells us to leave it that way to avoid messing around with our Board, so maybe not today.”
She waited for Henoke to climb back down (if he did acknowledge his rushing in), before she turned towards the rocky parts of the beach. Mei smiled faintly as she looked at the cherry tree, some of the fonder memories flourishing in his head.
The Eastern Shore was her favorite place for a reason, after all.
Neku nodded at Yuto’s suggestion of being referee, eager after realizing his desire for racing would be, in fact, a reality. Tori rolled her eyes noticing this, not really stopping to tease the rest as she went along.
Yuto’s little “trick” caused both to glance his way as he opened a Corridor, swiftly disappearing before dropping down at a reasonable distance. Neku was shocked, and Tori impressed, given that the latter knew about his powers from before. Again, however, she couldn’t help but acknowledge the mastery he had in controlling those powers, knowing all too well how tricky they were from the beginning.
“Hey, I wanna do that!” Neku shouted, “That looks awesome!” “I’d advice against it” Tori chimed in, causing Neku to blink a bit, “Those aren’t exactly powers anyone can mess around with, Neku.” “Aww… It looked cool…” “In any case…” Tori grinned, “Yuto’s got a pretty good eye, don’t you think? This’ll be a long race.” “Heh… You’re game.”
The two friends took a ready stance, both looking at Yuto as he would give the signal to start. Neither Tori or Neku seemed willing to give the other an easy fight —that was guaranteed.

”It’s not exactly nice, don’t you think?” Henoke couldn’t help but sigh and hang his head a bit in disappointment. It sounded like despite the HQ having a fun treehouse exterior, it wasn’t the place for carefree galavanting. ”Fine—next time.” Lowering himself back to the ground from the tree, the teen glanced around, appreciating the scenery and area itself here. ”This’s a cool place, though.” Following Mei’s gaze, his own eyes rested on the cherry tree as well, appreciating it for its newness and refreshing colors. ”Hm...” Though fruits weren’t his typical go-to, he couldn’t help but be curious about what a fresh cherry from a tree tasted like.
As far as he was concerned, he had never had such an experience. ”How ‘bout we climb up and pick some?” Raising an eyebrow at Mei, the teen seemed to be a little more settled now that his initial enthusiasm was curbed. It seemed he wasn’t always at 100 all the time, after all. If Mei agreed, Henoke would help her climb up the tree with him and begin to pick only a few cherries. He wouldn’t want to take too many, being content with merely trying them for the experience rather than any real hunger. Though calmer than before, his spirits would still be high as the teen would climb higher up in the tree to get a good look at the beach from above. If Mei wasn't in the mood for such shenanigans, the teen would offer to continue on, wondering where else they could go discover next.

Yuto watched as the two prepared for their race, making sure they were completely ready before starting the race. He could just hear the two talk over the sound of the ocean and found himself agreeing with Tori. As fun as his powers could be, they weren't something he'd wish on anyone. The occasional prank, while fun, didn't really break even with the cost of obtaining said powers.
He dunked his head under the surface to clear his thoughts, reemerging to see the two teens waiting for his signal. Yuto raised his palm to the sky. "Ready? Set. GO!" On the final word, the man shot the weakest form of his fire magic into the air. He aimed it slightly backward so that he could be sure that it didn't hit anybody. With the signal out of the way and the race started, all he could do was wait.

”This’s a cool place, though.”
Henoke’s comment brought Mei back to reality, a bit caught off-guard by the sudden realization. She watched as Henoke headed towards the tree, suggesting climbing and grabbing the few cherries that had matured. His childishness visible, Mei giggled.
“If you like sour things, I guess you can go for it” she replied, “Or if you wanna try them out. If you are going to climb, though, be careful —the tree’s pretty frail.”
She watched as he did so, walking near the tree just in case her assistance was required. The view from up high was indeed a pretty one, where one could watch the sea stretch as far as it possibly could. From up above Henoke could also see the rocky outside of the shore leading south, acting as a natural barrier to whatever threat lurked further ahead.
It was not a place to wander off aimless and weaponless, though. If he wanted to go there without care, then Mei would have to step up and warn him about it.
A few cherries were low enough to reach by just standing on their toes, thing Mei quickly did as she noticed one. While the other flowers would loosen their petals and release them to the wind, the small red orb would remain hanging by the tree. Mei gave it a bite, shuddering a bit at the acidity of it, but giggled.
“Yep —sour as usual…”
"Ready? Set. GO!"
As Yuto gave the signal, both Tori and Neku jumped into the water and began their swimming competition. It should’ve been obvious, given that the island was their home world, but both teens’ form was impeccable, swiftly cutting through the water with ease as they each made their way to where Yuto was —their point of turning.
Neku had a slight advantage over Tori, turning back a few seconds earlier than her and making his way back. Noticing this, Tori tried to rush her own pace, catching up to Neku in no time as they made their way back to land.
“Done!”
Both shouted almost as the same tie as they ran back to where they had begun —where the oysters had been left behind. Each had reached out for a closed shelled creature, looking at each other as they tried to determine who’d arrived first.
“I shouted first!” Neku said, panting a bit. “No —I did. I got here before you” Tori retorted back with a smirk. “I’m damn sure I was ahead o’ ya, though! Admit it —you lost!” “I’m pretty sure you lost… Unless you wanna call it a tie?” “Hell no!”
Neku growled, not willing to give up on his win, although Tori was mostly right in saying that they had tied. Yet the boy’s competitiveness was fired up, plus his previous defeats against Tori, who had excelled above him more times than he could count.
His pride could only take so much!

”If you like sour things, I guess you can go for it.” Underestimating the warning, Henoke reached up and began getting to work climbing the cherry tree. Careful after hearing it was a more frail tree, it took Henoke a short time to make it up into one of the branches, gazing out over the shoreline with a mystified glance. Seeing how far the sea stretched was impressive, the teen letting out a low whistle as their golden eyes feasted on the sights. ”Wonder what’s past there…?” Tilting his head as he thought about it, Henoke tried to see past the rocky border that the shore created, though he wasn’t able to make out much past that.
Finally remembering his main reason for climbing up the tree, Henoke reached and plucked a fresh cherry from a branch next to him. ”Pfffft! Blergh!” Spitting out the bite he had taken from the sour fruit, his face puckered as he grimaced, realizing he had really underestimated the sourness of fresh cherries. Laughing at his own reaction, the teen tossed the pitted fruit haphazardly away, knowing it would either be picked up by some wandering critter or washed away. ”So, where to next?” Leaping down from his spot in the branch, Henoke landed next to Mei with his hands on his hips and some energy in his eyes. It seemed he was still excited about exploring. Grinning at Mei, Henoke was thankful for her company. Had he rushed off by himself, he was sure he wouldn’t have had nearly as much fun.
”Lead the way, Guide!” Chuckling a bit as he rested his hands behind his head, Henoke rocked on his heels as he waited to hear what other spots Mei knew about.

“Done!” Yuto heard the two shout their victory in unison. By the time he managed to swim back, he was only able to catch the tail end of the conversation. "So, I'm assuming it was a tie?" His eyes darted between the two. "Why do I get the feeling that neither of you wants to admit it?"
The man stretched then put his hands on his hips. "Either way, what next? Cause we have the oysters, or we can do something else." He gestured towards the pile of oysters that had yet to be opened. "Up to you guys, but I'm game for anything." There was still plenty of light, so there was time to do whatever.
Yuto scanned the beach for anything to catch his eye, but he didn't find much. 'I wonder what the other two are up to.'

Mei found herself laughing after seeing Henoke’s reaction to eating the cherry. She’d warned him but it seemed useless to convince him at first. Still, he seemed to brush it off on his own, laughing along as he dropped down to the rocks, turning towards her. At the question where to next, Mei tilted his head, pondering a bit while he rushed on ahead.
Him calling her a “guide” was amusing, and she couldn’t help but giggle. She shook her head a bit as she made her way back to the sand, never once letting go of the bottle of sunscreen she’d brought along with her. Elegantly, she dropped down from the rocks towards the sand, keeping her balance before walking towards Henoke.
“I’m not really sure where we could go from here…” she explained, calmly yet with a faint frown, “The Southern Shore isn’t exactly an area we can explore right now, since we don’t have weapons or any knowledge of what could be lurking there… Same goes with the Forest —near the shoreline is safe, but deeper inside isn’t.”
She hummed a bit afterwards, realizing there were barely any areas she could show him during their beach trip. She frowned a bit, knowing that Henoke wanted to explore more, but there was nothing more to see —for the time being, anyways.
“Since we have nothing much to see… We should probably go back” Mei said, shaking her head, “Right now, there’s not a lot I can show you…”
Yuto’s question broke the argument between the two friends, Neku more pissed off than anything. Tori wasn’t bothered with calling it a tie, but Neku was —he could only handle so much.
“I won!” Neku pouted, “I got back here, first!” “I’m pretty we got here at the same time, though” Tori continued, crossing her arms. “I don’t wanna call it a tie, though!” “Just drop it already…”
Neku pouted, bitter as Tori simply gave up with settling it as a tie. Yuto’s nonchalant attitude didn’t help in settling a next activity, although Neku wasn’t going to give it up and was set in getting a victory in that day.
Didn’t matter on what.
“One more race!” Neku dared, catching Tori off-guard, “This can’t end in a tie!” “Neku, seriously —you’re acting so desperate, it’s sad” Tori said with a smirk. “I don’t want this to end in a tie, though —it ain’t fun!”

”I’m not really sure where we could go from here…” As Henoke listened to Mei explain how most areas weren’t safe for them to explore at the moment, he blinked in surprise as he remembered the reality of the island. Sure, they were having a carefree time on the beach now—but countless monsters lurked in its depths. ”Oh yeah…” Remembering that Verun was making him a weapon, the teen couldn’t help but grin as the recollection brought back his anticipation. ”Since we have nothing much to see…we should probably go back.” He wouldn’t let the fact their space was limiting daunt him, though. Resting his hands on his hips, Henoke gave Mei a grin as he shook his head. He hadn't expected her to give up so easily. ”It’s alright—we can still hunt for hermit crabs or shells on the way.” He enjoyed digging through the sand to find different critters and trinkets.
Allowing Mei to lead the way, Henoke would halt their progress every now and then—mainly whenever he found a spot he deemed worth investigating. He would dig with his hands through the warm sand here and there, hoping to find some sort of creature or token. ”Y'know, it’s so peaceful here, I almost forgot about the Guild an' monsters an' stuff.” Truthfully, it surprised him at how much of the beach they had to themselves. Sure, people must be busy—but who wouldn’t want to relax in the sun every now and then? Surely people had days where they didn’t have anything to do, didn’t they? Not like I had much free-time before now, either. Since awakening at Castle Oblivion, the Replica’s days had been spent constantly on the move—there was always work to be done if one wielded the Keyblade.

Yuto shook his head at Neku's indignation. "Dude, just drop it. Please." It was a bit unbecoming, to say the least. That, and the longer Neku decided to be stubborn the less time they would have for any other activities the beach would have to offer. "Besides, the day's still young. You'll have plenty of chances to win whatever competitions your heart desires."
The man walked over to the oysters and picked one up. "Like, say, who can find the most pearls, for example." He put the oyster back in the pile. "We should probably wait 'till closer to dinner for that one though." It would be a shame for the oysters to just sit there after being opened.
"Anyway, I'm sure there's a bunch of other stuff this place had to offer." The man immediately thought of Henoke's choice to explore. "I mean, I'm sure Henoke found something that could hold his attention." Part of him wanted to go exploring like Henoke did, but someone had to stay and watch their stuff.

Still optimistic and upbeat, Henoke didn’t seem to mind the lack of places to visit, instead focusing on what he could do on the way back. While Mei led the way, she’d stop every time Henoke did as he searched for hidden, buried treasure. Since she didn’t mind the distraction, instead finding it amusing, Mei didn’t say a word as they took a slow pace back to where the rest awaited. ”Y'know, it’s so peaceful here” Henoke’s comment as he explored though the sand caught Mei’s attention, although he wasn’t wrong by any means. She had said before that near the shore it was safe —only deeper into the forest would one find trouble, or worse, demise. She chuckled as he mentioned having forgotten everything regarding monsters and the Guild, shaking her head as she agreed with the sentiment.
“I won’t lie —I had a feeling it’d happen” she confessed, “Given that you and Yuto haven’t met the Guild members yet, or participated in any hunts… In all honesty, it’s easy to forget how perilous this world is, if you know where it’s safe and where it’s not.”
Mei finished with a soft giggle, as she headed near the water that rocked against the sand, brushing it off to reveal buried shells and stuff. She kneeled down to pick it up, a pale pink shell in the form of a petal —almost like the cherry flower petals, in a sense. The memory caused her to giggle once more, glancing over at Henoke with a cheerful smile.
“Y’know? Maybe we could do shell charms —for you and Yuto. Wouldn’t that be a nice souvenir?”
Neku’s expression was only sour, with not much to do when it came to changing it. Even Yuto’s plea didn’t help, and Tori couldn’t help but sigh in disappointment at her friend’s unwillingness to let go. His prideful self just didn’t want to admit either defeat or a tie, which made it rather hard to deal with him.
“You'll have plenty of chances to win whatever competitions your heart desires." Yuto’s observation was appreciated, but Neku simply huffed as a reply. Crossing his arms, he pouted while looking away, bitter. Rolling her eyes with annoyance, Tori gave up on him.
No way he was going to open up while he was in that state. None at all.
“You’re butthurt…” she mumbled with a smirk.
Neku didn’t seem to bother about it, instead looking away still pouting. Tori instead focused on what Yuto was debating on doing, given that Henoke and Mei had gone exploring. His mentioning of Henoke probably finding something perked her up, but she was quick to shake her head.
“Aside HQ, there’s not a whole lot” she explained, “The Southern Shore is not a place we’d want to go unarmed or clueless —it’s a death sentence. The other option for exploring would be underwater, though” Tori mentioned with a smirk, “Since this meat-head won’t be joining anytime soon… Wanna go diving for good views, Yuto? We can go as far as you’d like.”

”I won’t lie—I had a feeling it’d happen.” Her confession brought a sheepish grin to Henoke, who scratched at the back of his head. Hearing her reasons for assuming as much though, he felt less foolish, nodding gratefully at the explanation. ”I’m stoked to meet everyone!” Hearing about the Guild and being reminded of hunts and renewed a lively spark in his mood. As Mei began to investigate the shore, Henoke searched the sand with his hands as well. Finding a small riveted and fan-like shell, a pale yellowish orange in color, the teen cheered out, holding it up with a grin. ”Y’know? Maybe we could do shell charms—for you and Yuto.” Turning to look at Mei, Henoke’s smile widened as he saw the shell she had found, too.
”That’s a great idea~” He liked the thought of having a souvenir of their time here. ”I’ve never made a charm before, but I bet it’s nothin’ I can’t handle.” Looking confident and in high spirits, Mei’s ideas only fueled the fire. ”Let’s look for more!” Continuing his hunt, Henoke would search for shells small enough to not be annoying for a charm, but also not too brittle. He was enjoying hunting around for little ‘treasures’, excited that Mei had come with him. He’d have never thought of an idea like that on his own. Once the two would find a good amount, he would grin widely at their assortment, feeling accomplished. "You're pretty creative, huh, Mei?" Giving her a smile, the teen showed his gratitude through the compliment, again realizing that if he had continued to go solo like he had intended, the experience probably wouldn't have been nearly as good. "Thanks for taggin' along and showin' me the way."

The man shook his head and decided that ignoring Neku was probably for the best right now. It didn't seem like he'd be very responsive to much of anything at the moment. “Aside HQ, there’s not a whole lot” Yuto listened as Tori explained that land exploration would be a bad idea. "The other option for exploring would be underwater, though...Wanna go diving for good views, Yuto? We can go as far as you’d like.” The man laughed at the proposition. "I'm holding you to that." It would be interesting to see how deep he could go.
He stretched and started walking into the ocean. "So, where we startin' chief?" Since Tori was a local, he figured that she knew the best diving spots and decided to leave the decision making to her.

Alongside Henoke, Mei picked up as many seashells as she could —all of them coherent in shape and bright in color. After grabbing a good amount, she nodded, standing back up properly and making her way back to where the rest awaited. Henoke’s comment and appreciation only caused her to giggle, shaking her head at the small compliments.
“It’s nothing” she replied, “I’m glad you liked it, though.”
Their way back would be simple enough, chatting along and laughing a bit. Overall, the day had gone by quite peacefully, while the waves continued their rocking against the sand and the sun only scrolled through the sky higher and higher as time went on.
Tori nodded as Yuto agreed, heading back inside the sea while giving Yuto a window to follow her in. She noticed both Henoke and Mei as they walked back, waving their way with a smile.
“How’d it go?!” she shouted. “Pretty good —we found a bunch of seashells” Mei replied, “So, Henoke and I decided to make shell charms!” “Heh… Have fun!”
While Mei headed back to the towels and the parasol, sitting down and leaving the seashells in a tidy bunch, Neku glanced their way, and sighed, cracking his neck a bit. He knew he couldn’t be mad all day, since that wouldn’t be fun at all. In all honesty, he wanted some time alone with Mei, knowing that could at least cheer him up.
That or simply being berated by her to change the mood and distract himself from the previous tie.
With that said, he didn’t want Henoke there. Not because he didn’t like him —quite the opposite, really. But he knew Henoke would tease him if he approached Mei with the intention he had in mind.
“Guh… This’s annoyin’…” he frowned, troubled.
Even with that expression visible in his eyes, he headed back towards the parasol, not really feeling the water for a good bit, all the while Tori and Yuto would be diving underwater surrounded by pristine water and bright, colorful sea creatures, and Mei and Henoke would be starting their shell charm creations.

Enjoying the remainder of their walk back, Henoke took care to not break any of the shells, balancing his findings in his hands with cradled safety. As they neared their spot on the beach where the others were still having fun in the water, Henoke found himself grinning as he watched everyone together enjoying themselves. ”How’d it go?!” Tori’s shout caused him to chuckle, glad to see she was also unwinding and acting carefree. As Mei explained their latest decision, Henoke aided in placing their treasures into a somewhat messy assortment. Though he was delicate, it seemed his organization skills leaved some room for improvement.
Relaxing in the shade of the parasol, the teen seemed focused as Mei would assist him in the steps of making the charms, watching carefully and trying to mimic everything she did with the same precision. ”You’re good at this, Mei.” Watching her work, Henoke wondered if she had made items like this before. She definitely seemed to know what she was doing—so if she didn’t, he just figured she was good with ‘hands on’ projects. Looking up and away from the shells for a moment, observing the beach and seeing Tori and Yuto still playing around in the water, Henoke noticed Neku nearing the parasol. The young merc’s face betrayed his trouble, a clear frown etched across it. ”Oi, Neku!”
Waving a hand for the guy to come over, Henoke would give him a grin before gesturing at the shells. ”Wanna help out? You look bored.” Misinterpreting Neku’s feelings, the teen tried his best to offer a hand in cheering him up—not aware that it was his presence alone that was troubling the guy.

Yuto saw that the other two had returned and waved a greeting as he followed Tori deeper into the sea. From what he heard, Mei and Henoke had found something to keep themselves occupied. 'Shell charms would be a cool souvenir.' It'd be a nice memento of his time here, even though he did already have the lunch box Mei said he could keep.
He flopped backward with a splash and let himself float next to Tori. "So, where's the first stop?" He didn't mind being without a plan, but he preferred to be the reckless one in most situations. Aside from that, it would make sense for someone who's lived in this world for a while to have a list of favorite spots for these kinds of activities.
"Why don't we start with your favorite spot?" It was as good a place to start as any, and it would take the guesswork out of where to go. Yuto decided to play with his fire magic, flicking a small bulb of flame from fingertip to fingertip, as he waited for Tori's plan of action.

After sitting down, Mei had begun her work, matching seashells together before tying them together with string, all while keeping a calm smile. She made sure to point out what was usually best and what to avoid as she went on, helping Henoke as she could. His complement didn’t go past, instead causing her to giggle once more.
“Well… I’m more towards doing indoor activities to begin with…” she replied, amused.
She perked up as Neku approached, turning towards him as Henoke invited him over, the only reply he received being a grunt. Mei sighed, still smiling a bit, as she left the charm she was doing on the towel and stood up to meet Neku, placing both hands on her hips as she berated him.
“Something’s bothering you again, huh?” she asked. “…Well, yeah…” Neku looked away, still pouting, “Haa…” he sighed, annoyed, “I just wanna beat Tori for once…” “You’re still at it?” Mei giggled, “When are you gonna let it go?” “I can’t help it, okay?!” “Yes, you can. Why is it always competing with her, then? You’ve got your own qualities, don’t you?” “You wouldn’t know…” Neku frowned, his arms now crossed, “You don’t need to compete with her.” “I don’t compete with her, because I know where I’m good at” Mei replied, pointing out, “If it’s a battle, then I know I’ll lose —but if it’s baking or cooking, I’m far better than Tori in that sense!” “…” “Come on —just let it go already…” “…Fine…”
Neku gave up, placing both hands on his sides as he walked past Mei and sat in his own towel, covered by the shade of the parasol, folding his hands behind his head as he laid down. With a sigh, Mei sat back down and continued with Henoke in making the charms, glancing every so often at her friend behind him, whose eyes were closed as he tried to calm himself down.
“You sure you don’t wanna join?” Mei asked. “Nah —I’m not into arts and crafts…” Neku replied, waving a hand, “You guys knock yourselves out.” “I know you want to do something, though —you’re just as bad a liar as any of us!” Mei thought, giggling a bit. “…What?” Neku asked, glancing back towards them. “Oh, nothing…”
Neku looked with curiosity, but seeing Mei so absorbed in her work, he didn’t bother to distract her, instead finding the sight somewhat soothing. He couldn’t help but smile faintly, glancing at the two with some jealousy hidden beneath a layer of relief.
He wanted to spend time with Mei, and Mei alone —with no one else nearby. Seeing Henoke hanging out with her wasn’t by any means a bad thing, but a little selfish desire wanted him to leave for a bit, so that he could spend some alone time with Mei.
Tori, on her end, was swimming on her back, wondering a bit on where to go from there. Yuto had mentioned maybe going to her favorite spot, but that would be tricky. Still, the shoreline they were at had plenty to offer, and she had an idea or two as for where to head on next.
First, she needed Yuto to follow her deeper into the sea, though.
“C’mon, then —I’ll show you a bit” Tori called, “We need to go a bit deeper, though.”
With that said, she turned around and swam further into the sea, until the shoreline was somewhat visible, with the people waiting by the sand mere small figures. Once Yuto was besides her, she’d smirk, before diving deep into the water whose floor she could no longer feel.
The sea was crystal clear and fresh, allowing them to see the wonders underwater. Tori smiled, all the while she kept her breath while diving deeper and deeper until the limit of her body, given that any deeper, the pressure would be annoying.
