Arin continued to dance around the shark's giant body, slicing the giant carnivorous fish every chance that it got. But it didn't seem to be enough. The shark's hide was just too thick for this style of combat to be effective, not unless he could make solid strikes on the shark on exactly the same spot that he had been cutting into so far, which could be any of them.
He had to find a way to trap the shark in one place, so he could go to town on the giant beast, or some way that he could attack without worrying about rows of teeth trying to chew him up.
Then, Arin noticed just how large the shark's mouth was, compared to his small merman body. Maybe, If he was fast, and clever enough, but that would be insane!
Arin weaved out of the way of the shark's jaws once again, narrowly avoiding the shark biting his dorsal fin this time. His fire attack and his raid attacks are the only ranges attacks he could do that might have a desired effect on the large fish, but as it was now, trying to use them would be dangerous, especially since he didn't know how they would fair underwater. He needed a way to fight with his blades how he was used to. But the more he thought about it, the more he deduced there was only one surefire way to end this game of cat and mouse, once and for all.

Amaya was so shocked as she backed away from the cloud of what had to be blood. The only problem with that is that it was a different color. It was black instead of crimson red like blood normally was. Just what the hell? Before Amaya could react any further, the cloud of black blood suddenly sucked inward. Confused, Amaya furrowed her brows as she watched the black cloud of blood absrob right back into Stella. Instead of being dead, like normal beings would be, Stella was still alive!
A dark laugh filled the air. One that was male and obviously not Stella's even though it was coming from her. "I can't die by those means, Amaya. You're going to have to try harder!" Stella had said.
'What the-? How am I going to kill her then?' Amaya wondered in thought. The only likely option to take, from the looks of it, was to remove something vital. Once again, the two clashed.

Arin, tired of dancing around the shark, decided he had to do something crazy in order to win this fight. If the shark wanted a meal, he was going to get one. He smacked the shark on its snout, and swam away, gaining distance before redirecting himself at the oncoming sea-predator "Chow time, Jaws!"
As he neared the shark, he swam faster towards the beast's open mouth, and focused as much light magic into his spell as he could "Guard!" His barrier came up just as the shark's jaws came down, delaying the shark biting him just long enough to pass through its many rows of teeth unharmed, and into it's gullet.
At first, the shark was satisfied, and slowly stalking towards Amaya, but Suddenly, it stopped in place, something shark's were incapable of doing. Blotches of red water began to escape the shark's mouth, then, out of nowhere, keyblades were spinning out of the carnivore's body. First, they came from the fish's sides, moving out horizontally and leaving opening's in the fish's body. Then, two more were fired out of its body at an angle slightly higher up from the shark's previous wounds.
Then, both blades shot directly upward, both blades connected and spinning as fast as a buzz saw straight through the shark's spine, and Arin swam out of the opening and into open water, armor and tail covered in the fish's blood that slowly became washed away in the water.
With the shark slowly sinking to the ocean bottom, for bottom dwellers and scavengers to feed on, he propelled towards Amaya and Stella, keyblades at the ready to assist if he needed to.

As Amaya clashed with her former friend, it started to hit her hard on what she was doing. She fought through it though, clashing against Stella's weapon. The two exchanging their own special abilities in attacks directed at each other. Amaya remembered the times when they sparred. Now, here they were, fighting to the death. Amaya would have never seen this coming. Yet, here she was, fighting a friend.
'No, I have to remind myself that this is no longer Stella. Stella may be in there but that thing controlling her took over. The only way of freeing Stella now is to kill her.'
Amaya shook her head while the battle nearby with the shark was taking place. Neither combatants had noticed that the shark had swallowed Arin whole of his own volition. It wasn't until the water was filled with red did they turn to look. "What?!" Stella stated. Amaya turned to look, seeing a severed shark sink to the bottom of the ocean floor. Arin was now headed their way. The distraction had been enough for Amaya. Whirling on Stella, she was able to get in a Slash energy attack. It cut her former friend in the navel, like Amaya, except it hurt more.
It stunned Stella enough for Amaya to once again, stab the shadow of her friend. When she did, Amaya knew what she had to try. If slitting her former friend's throat didn't work then something was going to have to come off. As she saw her go into that paralysis state, Amaya found hesitancy again. She couldn't lower the scythe's blade as Stella recovered enough to speak once again.
"Do it...Amaya." It was the real Stella shining through at that very moment. Amaya's eyes widened with shock. She didn't think that Stella would be able to come through. "D-Do it...before...before he takes over again!" Stella urged her on. Amaya found yet more hesitancy. Why was she doing this? How could she do this? Seeing the way how Amaya had gone rigid and still, Stella struggled more within to try and maintain control during the final moment.
"P-Please...Amaya..." Stella begged her. She sounded weaker and more urgent this time. As if the struggle within to maintain herself was getting more difficult. Tears started welling up in Amaya's eyes. Since they were underwater, however, they couldn't be seen. If anything, Amaya's eyes reddened.
"I-I...I can't!" Amaya replied, her hand shaking that held the scythe.
"DO IT, AMAYA! NOW! BEFORE IT'S TOO LATE!" Stella screamed at her. Amaya, beside herself, burst into tears as she made the lethal swing...and then this time, there was a cloud of crimson that filled the water. Stella's figure sunk to the ocean floor as Amaya lowered her gaze, just holding the scythe limply to the side. She had done it. Stella was gone.

Arin was watching the battle continue on while he tried swimming as quickly as he could to reach Amaya to help her. But Amaya clearly seemed to have the upper hand, having somehow paralyzed Stella's body with her scythe. But something was wrong, she wasn't going for a finishing blow.
Arin tried pushing himself to swim faster, but to no avail, he was moving as fast as he could. Then, he heard Stella cry out, and had he blinked his eyes even for a moment, he would have missed it. Amaya had sliced Stella's head clean off of her body, leaving a trail of crimson blood as both halves of her body fell to the ocean bottom. Arin discarded his armor, letting it vanish in a flash of light, and he slowed his approach to Amaya as she just hovered there, her scythe hanging at her side like a warrior defeated.
He let his drive form power down, and dismissed his keyblade, stopping only a few feet from her, to give the girl some space as long as she needed it "…Amaya?"

Amaya was very still. She remained like that as Arin finally caught up to her after what had happened. She knew that he was there but hadn't given any notion that she did. Instead, she remained in place just barely hanging onto her scythe with her armor still on. It would have been quiet for a few more moments if Arin hadn't finally spoken.
It were as if she had been woken from a terrible nightmare. Extending her hand, Amaya released her scythe. As she did so, her armor and weapon had disappeared but that's all that she did. Amaya kept her gaze hung downward. She had just killed a friend! Stella had, through it all, somehow come through to her then. It broke her heart to know what she had done. Yet, Stella was free now even though it were in soul rather than body.
"I..." Amaya finally started, going quiet as she tried to regain herself a little. Trying to speak through the lump that had formed in her throat hurt. "I...did it." She didn't sound the least bit relieved about what she had done. It more so sounded like a sorrowful realization.
"I killed her, Arin."

Arin's gaze turned away as Amaya dismissed her armor and scythe, not wanting to make the moment more awkward than it needed to be. For the longest time, things were silent between Arin and Amaya, but then she finally spoke. She had realized what she had done, but had she come to terms with this realization? That was the true question.
Throwing caution to the wind, Arin inched his body closer to Amaya's, until he was close enough to reach out and gently pull her into a tight embrace, wrapping his arms around Amaya so he was only holding her in appropriate places, and not scare her away by touching somewhere that would creep her out.
"…You did what you had to do, Amaya, there was no other way…"

Amaya was so preoccupied with what she had just done to Stella to even remember the fact that Atlantica had her upper attire only adorned in a seashell bra. Thus, she didn't notice as Arin was forced to turn awkwardly away so he wouldn't be effected by it. They were quiet for the longest time. Arin likely allowing Amaya that time to register what she had just done and to mourn. Then, finally, Amaya broke that silence when she spoke to him.
Then, Amaya felt Arin gently grab onto her and start to pull her toward him. Not even thinking about it, Amaya had turned into his embrace. As he spoke to her she had buried her face into the crook where his shoulder and neck met as she hugged him back tightly. Where this might've been really awkward for Arin, Amaya didn't realize that as she sobbed. Luckily for him, he wouldn't be getting wet from her tears since they were submerged in water as it already was.
"I-I...I...know!" Amaya sobbed. If that had just been one out of the remaining three corrupted Dragoon Warriors, how was Amaya going to hold out when they got down to the very last one?

Arin lifted one hand so it was resting on Amaya's head softly, letting her cry out her anguish over her friend. She knew she did what had to be done, he was grateful for that. But he worried about just how badly the death of the other Dragoon warriors would affect her. He knew this was her mission, but still…
"…Amaya…If this is going to be too much for you…Let me carry the burden of the others…Or at least let me do half of the task, so the trauma of doing this yourself doesn't break you." His hold grew tighter around Amaya, trying to ignore the fact that they were pressing skin against skin, and trying to remember what had just happened not too long ago, which was keeping his mind distracted "…You're my friend, Amaya, and I don't think I can just sit by and watch you do this alone…So let me do this in your stead when it becomes too much for you…"

Amaya couldn't help herself. She had tried to keep it all in but in the end, she had given in to her emotions and wound up sobbing into poor Arin. She didn't even realize that they were pressed together like this. However, her injuries might have become more apparent at this close proximity since Stella had injured her stomach with those fins leaving cuts there.
As Arin placed a hand on her head, she heard him speak. He was requesting to take them all in her stead or to at least take on half of them for her. He was worried it would break her. Unfortunately, regardless of whichever way was done, Amaya may just be broken after all was said and done. He didn't want to see her do it alone and wanted to do it in her stead when it became too much for her.
Amaya struggled with herself to regain enough composure to respond to what Arin had been saying. It was good to know she had a friend in all of this. By herself, she knew now, that she wouldn't be able to take this on by herself. Not without losing herself, first. "I-I..." she struggled to say, taking a moment to swallow as she tried to figure out what to say. Gently, she moved her head a little and seemed to just let it rest on him.
"...Thank you, Arin...without a friend like you...I'd probably not make it on my own."
Now, to answer his request. "I think that...bearing half might...make things easier. If it...gets to be too much...I'll let you know." That was if she would even be in the right state of mind. Despite herself being in the water, Amaya had gently released Arin as she wiped at her face where the tears would have been if they weren't underwater.
"...Sorry."

Arin listened to Amaya's answer. She was willing to let him take half of the burden if it became too much for her. Thankful she was willing to trust him that much, he smiled as she pulled away from him, resting his hand on her shoulder and looking into her eyes softly "Don't be sorry, you had every right to express your feelings like you did…But don't let your stubborn nature push you too far, I want you to tell me when you're overwhelmed, and I'll take it from there until you're ready to fight again."
Arin finally was conscientious enough of their situation to notice Amaya was nude again, but more notably, he noticed the wound on her stomach. Clearing his throat, he looked away, still red in the face "…We should retrieve Stella's body and find a safe place to hide her, and the others, until we finish the mission."
"I hope ya weren't planning on takin off wit'out saying g'bye, mon."
Arin looked back to see Sebastian and Flounder swimming over to them, raising an eyebrow "Sebastian? I thought the king wanted us gone as soon as we finished our task here." Sebastian scratched his chin with his claw nervously "Well…Yes, he does…But he sent me an' Flounda to confirm yer departure…I apologize for da king's harshness before, Arin, but he be very protective of his home. An' his experience wit outsiders has been that they be more a danger to his people t'en a help."
Arin shook his head softly, crossing his arms and chuckling "Even after all this trouble to make sure his ocean stays safe, he still thinks we're the bad guys…Well…Can't say I blame him, I guess…" He stretched his arms and looked down to where Stella's lifeless body lay on the sandy ocean floor, sighing "…We're finished here Sebastian. We'll just collect her remains, and he'll never have to see us again, and you can tell the king I personally said that."

Amaya felt Arin place his hand on her shoulder then, looking into her eyes reassuringly as he told her that there wasn't anything for her to feel sorry about when it came to expressing her emotions then. Honestly, she felt terrible for crying like she did. It made her feel ashamed that she had been so weak. Arin seemed to know that, since she was stubborn, and told her to be sure to let him know and not b her usual self if things got to be too much for her. Would she be able to? Well, that was another matter. Amaya simply nodded slowly.
"I...I will..."
Amaya didn't remember her stomach was injured or that she was practically nude save for the seashells. It was then that she saw Arin's face turn red as he averted his gaze after clearing his throat. He suggested they should find a place to hide Stella's body and the others until they finished their mission. Amaya gave a nod at this.
"Yeah, you're...right."
Then, a familiar voice had reached their ears. Amaya slowly turned to find that Sebastian and Flounder was there. Even if their king had been bad tempered and unkind toward them, Amaya couldn't dislike them for being here. It was Arin who spoke first. Amaya had been wondering the same thing. According to the crab, they were sent to ensure that Amaya and Arin had departed from Atlantica.
Arin mentioned they would be collecting Stella's remains and then the king wouldn't have to ever see them here again. Arin hadn't forgotten what happened earlier as he told the other two that they could say Arin personally said this. Just when Arin had finished saying that, another familiar voice was heard.
"That won't be necessary. You can tell me, yourself."
Amaya looked over with surprise. The king had actually come all the way out here! Although his gaze was stern as ever, he didn't seem as fiery as he had been before. His gaze shifted toward the deceased Stella before returning to where Amaya and then Arin had been.
"I see you have done what you came here for..."

Arin heard Triton's powerful voice addressing him as soon as he had mentioned to Sebastian what he could tell the king, flinching like a scolded child would. He looked over to see the king glaring at them, though not as sternly as he once had, like back in the throne room. When Triton pointed out that that they had done what they came here to do, Arin was the first to speak this time, moving close to Amaya defensively, but not in a hostile manner.
"Yes sir, we have." Then, memories of how he acted back in the throne room popped up, and while he was initially angry at first, he realized he had to at least try to make amends for his outburst. Lowering his gaze, he swallowed his pride, and decided to say his peace.
"You highness, I wish to formally apologize for my behavior back in the throne room…I know you don't think highly of either of us, and I know my actions were rash. But I swear, we never had any ill intentions coming to your world. It was sheer coincidence that the corrupted warrior we were pursuing was in your world when we found her, but as soon as we collect her remains, I promise that you'll never have to see us in your ocean again, not unless it is on your terms." He was silent after this, head bowed and awaiting the king's final word on the matter.

Amaya remained put, too stunned to move as Arin was careful to place himself closer to where she was as if he sensed the need for caution with the king being there. Arin spoke up, after a brief flinch. He confirmed that they had, indeed, completed their mission. Unexpectedly, Arin had lowered his gaze and had apologized for what had happened in the kingdom when the king blew up on them first.
The king looked surprised that Arin had apologized. As Arin explained, he remained where he was. The firm gaze that he had earlier had seemingly diminished somewhat. When Arin had finished his piece, Amaya looked from him toward the king and nodded to show that she agreed with what he had said and that it was true. The king looked from Arin to Amaya and back again, saying nothing at first. It was more so because he was surprised before finally, the king closed his eyes ad had let out a sigh.
"No, it is I who must apologize. You were right in coming here to rid us of that corrupted Dragoon. It saved us a good deal of having to take care of her ourselves when we already have quite a force to be reckoned with as it already is. I was wrong to uh-um...lose my temper. I-If you...ever would like to...you are welcome to visit us at any time...but remember, don't voluntarily meddle in the affairs of other worlds. It's dangerous for those that live there as well as yourself and can effect the balance of things."
Amaya was surprised to hear the king apologizing as well. It seemed he had realized that he was wrong to explode and had merely been watching out for his world. He had good reason for it, little did they know. His wife had been killed by pirates. So, he wasn't trusting of many outsiders after that.
A light smile appeared then on Amaya's face. "Thank you...Your Highness." She paused and then looked toward the crab and fish from before. "And you...Flounder...and Sebastian. Thank you." Amaya smiled at each of them a little before turning to Arin. She was ready to go when he was. "I...am ready when you are...but where should we take...her?" Amaya said, finding it hard to look over at Stella. Instead, she chose to keep her eyes fixed on Arin.

Arin listened to the king's apology and was honestly surprised his own apology had received such a positive response. The king had also apologized for his temper earlier, and even agreed that Arin and Amaya's reasons for coming here were justified. He looked up at the king when he invited Arin and Amaya back to his world, shocked the king was willing to change his mind about them so quickly. Still, he wasn't one to turn down a friendly face that wasn't a mask. Then Triton warned them not to meddle in the affairs of other worlds, as it was dangerous to the residents, as well as those meddling, and could affect the balance of the worlds negatively. Arin nodded in acknowledgement, bowing his head.
"I understand, I promise not to recklessly meddle in the affairs of other worlds. But if there is already an outside threat to the world that cannot be prevented without assistance, I won't be able to sit by and watch the people of that world suffer. Please understand, I can't watch another world fall like mine did…" He waited for the king's response, then excused himself to speak with Amaya. She was ready to go, but was also apparently concerned about Stella's corpse.
Arin looked down at the corpse, trying to think of somewhere that her body could remain preserved, until a proper burial could be performed. But preserving her body, as well as the others when the time came, would possibly require a lot of magic. Then it hit him.
"…We could try and bring her to Master Yen Sid, see if he can keep her preserved until she can receive a proper burial."

Amaya was just as surprised as Arin was when the king deemed their return to be alright. Even with after what had happened in Atlantica, the king seemed to have gained some trust in them. However, if they ever were to visit again, they would still have to be a bit careful about what things they did just in case. It wouldn't do for them to take things lightly whenever they were here.
As Arin spoke, promising that they wouldn't be reckless, the king gave a nod. It seemed that he would accept this without argument. He had looked long and hard at Arin though when he had mentioned his world having fallen. "I will take your word on this. When you do have to interfere, be careful." With that, the king patiently waited as Arin excused himself to speak with Amaya.
Amaya waited for some kind of response from Arin. It didn't take him long as he gazed at Stella's corpse for a short moment before stating that they could take her to Yen Sid. He would be able to keep her preserved at the very least, and the others, once they could give them a proper burial. Would the Sorcerer agree to it?
"Alright then, sounds like a plan." After having been there once, Amaya guessed that the Sorcerer might allow her through what magical barriers he might have set up. It wouldn't do to walk through Twilight Town with a dead body in one's arms out in the light with people all around. Now, the dreadful part. Amaya turned slowly toward what was left of Stella. Gently, she lowered herself, trying to pick up the body instead of the head. As she made to do so, only then was she reminded of her injury with a painful jolt. Wincing, Amaya was forced to let go as she clutched at her hurt stomach where the cuts had been made. The fins had stabbed in at least half an inch into the points where the cuts were. It stung pretty bad.
"Ow!" Amaya exclaimed.

Arin followed Amaya down to the bottom of the ocean, waiting to see if Amaya was up to carrying her friend's deceased body. Apparently, given her injuries, she wasn't. It was then that Arin stepped in, swimming over so he could take hold of Stella's body, and the head if Amaya didn't want to carry it. "You're injured, let me carry her until you can fix yourself up." Not waiting for Amaya to agree, he picked Stella's body up and carried her bridal style.
He took the lead in swimming back up to Triton, Sebastian and Flounder's sea level, giving each of them an appreciative glance "It was a bit rough at first, but it was an honor meeting you all. I hope we meet again soon, and hopefully the next time will be on more peaceful terms." Sebastian scoffed softly and crossed his claws "Make sure that it is, mon. We don' need any trouble in dese waters." Arin chuckled softly and nodded, smiling at the crab "Trust me, Sebastian, I won't be returning to visit until I'm certain I don't have any darkness chasing me down. King Triton, Sebastian, Flounder, farewell." He looked over at Amaya and nodded, he had said his goodbyes, and was ready to leave whenever she was.

Amaya hated the fact that she couldn't help carry the body. Arin had swam over and easily took over, lifting Stella's body into his arms as he told her that she was injured and to let him carry Stella until she got fixed up. "Th-Then at least let me...carry the head." Amaya went over and gently took Stella's head from him. It was strange to be holding a friend's head but she knew what happened was done and over with. In this form, Stella's armor had yet to dismiss itself. So, Amaya was spared looking into the dead eyes of her former friend.
Then, Amaya followed Arin over to where Triton and the other two had been as he spoke. "See you all again in a better light." As Arin bade the three his farewell, Amaya gave a nod too. "Goodbye, Your Highness. Farewell, Sebastian and Flounder." Now, it was time for them to go as Arin looked over at her and gave a nod. Summoning her armor again, Amaya swam up to where Arin was and held his arm as she carried Stella's head in the other.
In a blink of an eye they would find themselves in the Sorcerer's Loft. This time, they would be in their normal land forms and no longer wearing anything skimpy or revealing in Amaya's case. The Sorcerer had to have been expecting them or had noticed Amaya's energies to allow them entry. How did she know? He was seated right there before them at the desk and had gotten up when he noticed they had Stella in tow.
"We...we did it..." Amaya stated. "We have killed one corrupted Dragoon already." The Sorcerer had given her a nod.

Arin let Amaya take the lead with exiting Atlantica, smiling cheerfully as he watched Flounder waving goodbye. For a brief moment, everything was a blinding white.
Then, they were back in the sorcerer's loft, and Yen sid was staring at them with his piercing gaze. Amaya was the first to speak, telling the wizard that they have killed one of the corrupted Dragoon warriors. Nodding, he waved his hand, and both Stella's head, and her body were lifted into the air, laying flat as a board as a decorative coffin was conjured around the warrior's body. The coffin was form fitting, but had a magical wall keeping the head and body separate, while still appearing to be connected. He then looked at Amaya and Arin, a calm expression paired with his piercing gaze
"I see your mission has made some progress since you have left this world. Still, this is no time to celebrate your victories, nor the time to mourn your losses. Three corrupted Dragoons remain in the worlds, terrorizing their inhabitants, and hunting for the final Dragoon who can put a stop to their puppeteer's plans."
Arin nodded, remaining vigilant in his posture, but still retaining his calm and relaxed attitude while speaking to the wizard "Master Yen Sid, I know it is a lot to ask of you. But returning to Earthsea each time we defeat a Dragoon warrior might bring danger to its inhabitants by the other, living warriors' hands. Is it possible for you to keep their bodies here, safeguarded, and preserved until they can receive a proper burial in their home world? This is the safest option I can think of to leave them until we finish the mission."
Yen Sid ran a hand through his beard, considering the options at hand. He knew of another world with equally as strong protection from dark forces, still, remaining in the loft would be the most plausible option, because he would be there to protect them from any invaders, and dispose of them swiftly. Silently, Yen Sid nodded his head in agreement "Very well. I shall keep them here, locked away where no one will find them until you have completed your task."
With a flick of his wrist, the coffin vanished in a flash of light and smoke. He then gestured to a platform near the entrance to the loft "Use this platform to heal your current wounds, you will need to be in peak condition to face your foes, or they will slowly weaken you both until they can overpower you with a single strike."
Arin looked at the platform, then to Amaya "…You go first, I didn't take as many hits dodging the shark."

When Amaya and Arin walked in and presented Stella, Yen Sid had used his magic to take Stella's deceased figure from them by placing her into some kind of coffin. It was form fitting yet kept the head and body separate but made it look like the head and body were together again. Once this was fini shed, Yen Sid brought his gaze back over to them. His gaze was always sharp and piercing but this one was calm. Then, he spoke. Amaya was silent as he did so.
Yen Sid could see that they had made a lot of progress since their last visit to this world. However, their task wasn't done. There were still three more Dragoon Warriors to take care of. The final one that would be hunted down was meant for them to figure out who or what had corrupted them and its origins. The defeat of the corrupted Dragoon Warriors only sounded like a precursor to something more.
Arin spoke then to Yen Sid, asking if they could keep the deceased Dragoon Warriors here. Since going to and from Earthsea all the time would be cumbersome. Yen Sid agreed to keep the bodies for them until they could retrieve them all and take them to their final resting place. Amaya was relieved that he would. It made their job easier. Yen Sid would keep them here locked away where no one would find them. The wizard flicked his wrist and the coffin was gone, out of sight.
Yen Sid motioned toward a platform that appeared suddenly near the entrance of the loft. Amaya hadn't seen it there before when they came here previously. As he motioned toward it, Yen Sid instructed them to use that platform to heal their wounds. It was essential to be in peak condition otherwise they would be slowly defeated if they allowed themselves to be injured frequently. At this, Arin looked toward Amaya and told her to go on it first since he hadn't taken as many hits as she had.
"Um...alright," Amaya replied. Amaya walked over to the platform. She wasn't sure how it would heal her but she wasn't arguing. As she stood there, a light suddenly emitted around her. "Oh, wow!" Amaya said before getting off and looking toward Arin. "Your turn."
