"Alright, Yuto!" Henoke let out a cheer, jumping into the air and punching it with his fist in celebration. Watching the arc of fire spin through the air, the guy's bat crushed through multiple enemies with ease. He's really something, to be able to take on the Heartless with a weapon like that. Henoke remembered his first time fighting a Heartless, using a wooden bokken sword. It had had no affect on the creature back then. Feeling a sense of pride well up at watching his new friend take on the Heartless, Henoke began to fight harder.
As the countless Heartless rushed him, Henoke gripped his Keyblade firmly in front of him, closing his eyes as he focused his anger. "Blitz!" A radiant light began to surround Henoke's steel grey Keyblade as he focused, suddenly opening his eyes as the group of Heartless were just about to reach him. Heaving the Keyblade, Henoke leaned back to prepare to swing for one of his most powerful hits. With all of his might, he brought the Keyblade slashing down through the air just as the Heartless closed in. A blinding light exploded throughout the room as his attack connected, slicing through the mob and dazing most of the Heartless. The High Soldier was finally defeated, as well as two minor Heartless.
Breathing a little heavily from his blitz attack, Henoke gripped his wounded ribcage with his left hand. Feeling it, the teen grimaced as he felt what he knew would be a nasty bruise soon. The Heartless continued forward, no longer in distress from his powerful attack. Shadows and Soldiers rushed towards him, the Air Soldiers keeping their distance in the skies, swooping down for the occasional attack. Backpedaling a bit, Henoke blocked a multitude of cyclone rushes and swipes from Soldiers and Shadows alike. Spinning, the key bearer delivered a powerful sweeping move that kept the distance between them, slicing through some of the weaker Heartless easily as they evaporated back into nothingness, the hearts releasing into the air.
Looking over at Yuto, who had also taken some damage, Henoke bit his lip. Don't worry, he's got this. The key bearer nodded to himself as he steadied his heart, believing in Yuto's ability and skill as he focused on his own fight. The Heartless were thinning out slowly, weaving back and forth as they leapt towards the destructive weapon that called to them. Henoke grinned as he counted how many were left. Yeah...this shouldn't take much longer.
With the High Soldier out of the way, the rest would be a breeze, he figured.

'Alright, good. He's got this. Yuto thought to himself after seeing Henoke launch a powerful attack that cut his crowd down to a few stragglers. He turned back to his own fight just in time to be kicked in the sternum by the High Soldier. Taking a step back, he barely managed to block the Soldier and Shadow before one of the Air Soldiers dive bombed him and threw him into the center of the crowd of Heartless. "Ok, That hurt." he said, to no one in particular.
He stood warily and surveyed the crowd that now had him surrounded. 'Well, now or never.' He blocked a few more attacks before raising his bat. He focused all of his currently available energy. "Erupt!" He shouted, forcefully. With that, Columns of fire erupted around him, knocking back the High Soldier and Air soldiers, as well as disintegrating the Soldier and Shadow.
'That should by me some time.' Yuto fell to his knees. 'Not a lot, but some.' He sat there for a moment, regaining himself. That was the first time he ever did that successfully. It was usually one or two columns that he could summon. This time he counted eight. "No wonder it took so much." He laughed. The man looked at the state he was in. 'I should probably heal.' He looked around and saw that the columns disappeared. 'No time. Guess I'll have to do the other thing.'
He stood and turned to the remaining Heartless. "How ya doin' over there?" Yuto called, not daring to look away from his enemies.

"How ya doin' over there?" Yuto's voice rang through the large room, echoing off the walls. Henoke laughed as he dodged and slashed at the opposing Heartless, wielding his hefty Keyblade as though it were a part of him. "I'm fine! These chumps are easy!" Lifting it to block blows and sweeping it to deliver strikes, the teen was fairing well for himself as he rolled out of the way of an Air Soldier's dive bomb. There was a brilliant light and a wave of heat from behind him, though when Henoke turned to look, another Air Soldier swooped down and slashed out, causing him to lose his footing and fall backwards. Damn it! Focus! He rolled to the side in order to avoid a lunging attack from a Shadow.
Kicking himself back up to his feet from the ground, Henoke threw up the 'Steel Heart' just in time to block another slash attack from a Soldier. The hit was nothing compared to the High Soldier he had squared off to. "Get outta my way!" Henoke slashed his Keyblade down with a heavy strike using both hands, crushing the Soldier underneath it. Limp and twitching on the ground, Henoke stabbed his blade into the pitiful monster, releasing another heart into the air. His gold brown eyes found Yuto across the room, staggering on his feet and seeming to be exhausted.
No! Henoke hoisted his Keyblade onto his shoulder as he began to run towards the bat wielder. "Hang in there, Yuto!" The two Air Soldiers had circled around, attempting to block the teen off from his comrade. Luckily, Henoke had gotten as close as he needed to get. Hoisting his Keyblade into the air, a green aura surrounded the weapon as a similar aura burst forth around Yuto. Leaves and blooming flowers fell through the air around the kneeling man as Henoke shouted his spell. "Cura!" It was a moderate healing spell, but should do the trick for the wounds and exhaustion Yuto had received. With his comrade taken care of, Henoke found a new determination.
Leaping into the air, the key bearer met one of the Air Soldiers lunges head on, his strength overpowering the creature as it was pummeled to the ground. A single heart and a few wisps of darkness were all that remained of the monsters existence. The Shadow finally struck, leaping from the floor and into the air, slashing out at Henoke with quick attacks. Backpedaling a bit, he brought up his steel grey Keyblade to deflect the small creatures attacks before sending it into the nether from which it came.
With only one Heartless remaining, it was easy for Henoke to run over to where Yuto was across the room. Positioning himself next to the man, he grinned over his shoulder. "We got 'em now!" It was refreshing, fighting side by side with someone.

He felt a surge of energy as he stood, followed shortly by "Cura!" Yuto smiled. 'So, this is what it's like having backup. Not bad.' He leveled his bat at the remaining Heartless, waiting for the right moment.
"We got 'em now!" He couldn't help but agree. "Twas merely a flesh wound, but thanks." The man looked at the remaining Heartless. 'The airborne ones are annoying, but the High Soldier is stronger.' He thought for a few seconds and charged. As he expected, one of the Air Soldiers dove for him. Yuto leaped onto it and used it as a footstool, leaping to the other one and taking aim.
"Blaze!" A medium-sized fireball launched itself at the flying enemy, reducing it to ash. As he fell, Yuto swung downward using gravity to put more force behind his attack. His bat connected with a loud bang and the heartless melted away, sending another heart to the skies. He turned to see the High Soldier charge him. He managed to get his bat up to block a volley of intense attacks. "You are starting to get annoying." He parried the High Soldiers next attack, causing it to backpedal. "Lets make this quick, yeah?" He focused intensely, causing his bat to be coated in black flames.
Yuto, feeling the heat from his bat, charged the High Soldier. The two met in the middle, clashing. Bat versus claws. A child of twilight versus one of the endless minions of Darkness. As the two exchanged blows, Yuto watched the spastic movements of his enemy. When he found his opening the man ducked under the High Soldiers claws and swung upward, launching the Heartless into the sky. 'Time to end this.' He thought, swinging his bat in an arch, launching black flames after the now airborne enemy. Once the Heartless and the arch of flames met the High Soldier was cleaved cleanly in two, disintegrating and releasing the heart it held captive.
With the flames on his bat gone and all of the Heartless he was facing defeated, he turned and smiled to Henoke. "Well, that takes care of that. No?"

Henoke watched in astonishment as Yuto's bat became devoured in dark flames. So...cool!! For a moment the key bearer simply stood and watched as Yuto quickly began to dispatch of the remaining Heartless. Fully distracted, Henoke didn't notice as the remaining Air Soldier dove from above, swooping and clawing with a fervent bloodlust. With a shout of surprise, the key bearer blocked the oncoming attack, though was pushed back and nearly toppled over. The Air Soldier circled around the room for a second strike, honing its claws as it readied itself.
As the Heartless began to swoop down, Henoke smirked as he tightened the grip on his weapon with both hands. Hoisting it up at his side with both hands and keeping it pointed at the enemy, the orange haired teen charged at the Air Soldier, meeting its aerial sweep head on with his own heavy slash. The Keyblade cut through the darkness with ease, being a tool of light. There was another heart joining the gathering, fading off towards a nameless kingdom. Allowing the hefty Keyblade to disappear in a ray of light, Henoke turned to see how Yuto had faired.
"Well, that takes care of that. No?" The man with long hair stood in the room with not a single Heartless remaining. It seems the bat that was in his hands was certainly a formidable weapon, one for the darkness to fear. Suddenly, Henoke's face twisted into one of horror as a sudden realization dawned on him. Grasping his head in his hands, the teen wailed: "AHHH!!! IT MADE ME MISS THE FINISHING MOVE!?" He had been so curious to see what other powers the bat wielder had, but his battle with the remaining Air Soldier had completely absorbed his attention.
Raising a fist in the air, Henoke shouted at the deceased. "You bastard Heartless! I'll kill you for that!" A vein was throbbing on his forehead as the look of anger plastered his face. It seemed that Henoke had forgotten he couldn't kill something that was already dead. Luckily, the agitation of missing his comrades super ultra finishing combo was distracting him from the throbbing pain in his side and arms. It seemed that though skilled, the teen was rather reckless in combat, as he was in a rather beat up state.
Henoke never cared about things like that, especially when he was mad. Kicking out at the carpeted floor, which was now littered with singes and slashes that exposed the marble underneath, the Keyblade wielder looked over at his comrade. "Hm...you know, after we explore more of this castle, we should use the training grounds outside." A broad grin emerged on his face as he pointed at Yuto, a friendly but competitive tone in his voice. "I wanna see those finishing combo moves!"
He had seen an obstacle course outside. We can use that! Already plotting the next adventure, Henoke brushed himself off, seemingly in a much better mood than moments before. He winced a bit from his injuries, but 'Cura' always took a lot out of him. He wouldn't be able to cast it right away again. Looking over at Yuto with a thumbs up, the teen began to walk further into the castle, albeit with a slight limp. There was another large looming hallway before them, though this one was different in design. Though the floor and ceiling stayed marble and gold, the walls were made of transparent glass, allowing one to see out and over the training grounds.
Outside, the sun was getting a little lower in the sky, signaling midday. Henoke hadn't realized how much time had passed, he had gotten here early in the morning at dawn. I guess time flies when you're having fun. Not many would find battling for ones life in an old abandoned castle fun, but Henoke was cut from a different cloth. Looking over his shoulder at Yuto, the teen rested his hands on the back of his head.
"Man, Yuto, you're really good with that bat. How long have you been fighting the Heartless for?" He meant the compliment. Imagine if he had a Keyblade... The thought excited him. He was grinning foolishly now, caught up in his own excited fantasy. Two Keyblade bros, battling mobs of Heartless together, watching each other's backs! It all sounded so...well...awesome! Despite his tough facade and courageous personality, it seemed that Henoke certainly had moments of showing his age.
His face was still grinning stupidly as he walked ahead of Yuto down the hall with windows.

After the battle they just had using the training grounds sounded like the best possible idea. "After we clear out the Heartless." He agreed. "I mean, it would be kinda awkward if we were training and they showed up." He followed the teen into the hallway. It was gold and made of marble, and in much better shape than the room they just left. Glancing out the window, he saw the sun hanging lower in the sky. 'Midday already? Wow.' It hadn't felt that long. Granted, his sense of time was not something to be relied on.
"Man, Yuto, you're really good with that bat. How long have you been fighting the Heartless for?" He tried to figure out an answer that would make sense to Henoke. "Well, I've been training since I was younger than you." He explained. "But, since I don't have a Keyblade, I didn't get to fight the Heartless a lot until a week ago. That didn't go too well. The rest of that week was more intensive. Heartless after Heartless without so much as a chance to rest." He looked away, trying not to make anything awkward. It was hard trying to translate the gap in time between when he was in the Realm of Darkness and how much time passed in the Realm of Light.
Looking back, Yuto noticed that the teen was worse for wear. "Mend." He pointed his bat above Henoke's head, casting his 'Cura' spell on the brightly colored teen. "Better?" He asked, just now noticing the grin on the teen's face. 'The way he fights, you would think he's an actual adult.' He couldn't help but laugh at the thought. Everyone he knew held themselves so seriously. The Keyblade was an important responsibility, he understood that, but to be so serious all the time. Not to say that he didn't get a laugh out of people. They tended to like him and his antics. Something new to add to the repetition of day to day life. He missed them. Even the people he didn't like. For them to all be gone in what was only a week and a half. Such a short time for things to change so drastically.
"So," He said, snapping himself back to the here and now. "Shall we see what other surprises this place has to offer?"

"Thanks!" Henoke felt a wave of relief wash over him, rolling his shoulder a bit as the green healing aura surrounded him. The throbbing pain in his side disappeared, as well as his limp. Magic is awesome. As the two walked through the hallway, Henoke's eyes stayed glued to the window, fascinated with the view out below them. There were countless tall valley peaks rising into the sky, rolling green hills bending off into riverbeds and streams all around. The training ground littered the area around the castle, lined with tall grass hedges and housing many different obstacles throughout it. "I didn't get to fight the Heartless a lot until a week ago." Yuto's voice rang out from behind the key bearer, echoing throughout the hall much like their footsteps.
Wow, only a week, huh? Even with training, Henoke remembered his first time fighting the Heartless. They were bizarre, creatures of destruction acting purely on instinct. They had sporadic movements, reckless attacks and impressive stamina. Henoke nodded as he grinned at his comrade. "Well, you're doing really well, Yuto." He was thankful for the window light as he saw the dim end to the hall ahead. "Shall we see what other surprises this place has to offer?" Yuto's question stirred excitement in the young Keyblade wielder. Grinning broadly, curious to see what else awaited them, Henoke sped his pace up. "Yeah!"
As they reached the end of the hall, the light from the windows faded as the walls suffocated the two in dim shadow. There was a large door lined with gold that matched the handles. Reaching out, Henoke turned the knob and stepped inside. This room was full of old paintings that lined the walls. Most of the paintings were portraits of individuals who seemed either royal or in command, poised with straight statures and uniforms. Some held key blades at their sides, others were more cropped and close on the shoulder up. The shadows on the portraits were harsh in the dim light.
Henoke whistled into the empty circular room as he looked at all of the paintings. Many of the eyes seemed to follow him, causing his neck hairs to stand on end. "I wonder who these people were?" His gold brown eyes scanned a faded plate beneath a portrait. The etchings were too rusted and damaged for him to read. The portraits were encased in glass, preserving their design and freshness. It seemed the name plates had been left vulnerable to time, many missing altogether.
At the opposite end of the room was another large door, similar in design to the one they had entered. Not taking long to look at the paintings, Henoke walked over to yank open the other door. It revealed two staircases. One that went down, and one that went up. Both were dim and shadowed, disappearing into the darkness. Turning to look over at Yuto, Henoke raised an eyebrow.
"What way do you want to go?"

"Thanks." He responded to the teen's praise. "But it's nothing really. You would get good quick too if every minute was life or death." He turned, realizing what he said. " Not to say that you're not good. 'Cause you are. Better than I was at your age even."
He followed Henoke's quickened pace to the end of the hall. The large door imposing itself in front of them. He followed the teen into the circular room. The first things he noticed were the paintings. The room was full of them. From full body to head and bust. They were old, judging by the rust and fade of the frames and plaques. He had no idea how old, but old.
"I wonder who these people were?" He heard the Henoke say. "Masters, most likely." He said, examining more of the paintings. "Either that, or people of importance in this world." He turned around and examined the rest of the room. "This is probably where thy met. Or where they brought new trainees for orientation?" He pondered the possibilities. "My world had something similar. It was kind of daunting. All the people to live up to and try to emulate.
He watched as Henoke wandered the room before opening the other door. "What way do you want to go?" He walked over to see that the stairs went both up and down. Other than that, they were both exactly the same. "Let's go down. Worst case, we get jumped again." He joked. "Besides, if that happened, it's not like they can knock us off the steps if we're on the bottom floor." He started down the steps, making sure that nothing was gonna jump out at them.
"So, question for you." Yuto looked back at the brightly colored teenager. "And feel free to tell me if you don't want to answer. But, I was wondering, since you don't remember the name of your home world is there anything else you do or don't remember?"

As Henoke stood in front of the doorway, he thought of the old orientations and events the masters would host on his own home world. Truthfully, he skipped most of them, not wanting to bother with the formal traditions of it all. "It was kind of daunting. All the people to live up too and try to emulate." Yuto's voice rang out in the dimly lit room, causing Henoke's eyes to scan over the faces in the portraits again. Old geezers...they even put pressure on us when they're dead. The thought was bitter, as Henoke didn't enjoy the expectations put on youth by the elderly. As Yuto joined him by the doorway, Henoke looked into the dark stairways. He couldn't see much past the first few steps of either.
"Let's go down. Worst case, we get jumped again." The joke caused Henoke to laugh as he clasped his hand on the guy's shoulder. "Good point!" They already knew they could handle the Heartless. They had been clearing them out together since they got to this castle. As Yuto led the way down the stairs, Henoke followed, keeping both hands out of his pockets in case he needed the Keyblade. Tracing the wall with one of his fingers, the key bearer wondered how long this building had been left in abandon. "Question for you." Yuto's voice snapped him out of his thoughts, causing him to look ahead. "Since you don't remember the name of your home world is there anything else you do or don't remember?"
Thinking about it for a moment, all that was heard on the staircase was the padded steps cushioned by lined red carpet from the two that slowly walked through the dark. "Yeah...I remember most stuff, to be honest." He had stopped tracing the wall with his finger, resting a hand behind his head as he played with the bandana fashioned around his neck. "It's small stuff I don't remember. Names, mostly. Like the name of my world, or my master...For the most part everything is crystal clear. Some stuff gets hazy, though." Henoke scratched the back of his head, looking up at the ceiling. "I can't remember a lot of my childhood, but that doesn't bother me a lot."
The two arrived at the bottom of the staircase, a long rectangular room looming before them. Though it was dark, the key bearer's eyes had adjusted, allowing him to make out some of the room. The tall walls were lined with an assortment of items. Wooden bokken swords, training armor, dummy dolls littered with dents and chips and scorch marks. There were suits of armor, edged and angular as most Keyblade wielder armor was, posted up on stands. There were a few beds closer to the far end of the room, trunks lining the walls with accessories and armor. It all caused Henoke to gasp in surprise.
"Woah!" Forgetting what he was talking about, the excited teen rushed into the room past Yuto, looking at all of the training equipment. "This musta been an armory or something!" Already he had made himself at home, rushing over to a nearby chest and rifling through its contents. With a whistle, Henoke turned to look at Yuto, holding up some of the various equipment.
"This is wild! This really was used to train Keyblade wielders!" His mind was filled with memories of his own training days on his home world, a wave of nostalgia washing over him as he grinned.

"It's small stuff I don't remember. Names, mostly." That wasn't something he expected to hear, but it was nice. Henoke couldn't remember names of people, but he could remember who they were to him and the times they shared. 'That's what's important. The memories.' He couldn't help but smile at the thought. He remembered all the good times he had with his friends and family. All the trouble they got into together. Everything. It was nice. Bittersweet, but nice.
When they got to the bottom of the staircase Yuto looked at the hallway with awe. The fact that not only was the room untouched, but that all of these things were still here, was amazing. Everything from armor to accessories to even replica weapons. "This musta been an armory or something!" He walked over to the beds. "That, or some form of barracks." He flopped on one of the beds. It was lumpy, but he was used to worse. "Either way, it's amazing that all this stuff survived."
He sat up in his bed and took another look around the room. 'I should probably take a memento. Yuto thought to himself. 'A ring maybe, or a belt? Maybe a piece of armor?' His eyes darted from wall to wall, trying to find something. He almost gave up when his eyes fell on it. The man got up and walked over to one of the chests that had a replica Keyblade in it. It wasn't much, but it looked to be well made. A square metal hilt with a solid wood skeleton key, about half a foot thick, as the blade. He tossed it between his hands. 'Well balanced.' He swung it a few times. The blade remained connected to the hilt. 'One last test.' Yuto thought, uneasily. He took his bat and hit the replica as hard as he could. Thankfully, the wooden weapon held up. The man swung it a few times to be sure. "Perfect!" He searched around the room for something to holster his new weapon. His bat too for that matter. He didn't want to be carrying them around if he didn't have to.
He searched around the room for a couple of minutes. He found a belt holster that fit his bat perfectly. With that safely tucked away, Yuto used his now free hand to dig further into some of the other chests. After a while, he found a back holster that his Replikeyblade attached itself to via magic. He decided to put it under his hoodie and over his shirt. 'For protection.' He thought to himself. He was glad to have new things. It would suck if he lost his bat, but now he wouldn't be dead in the water.
"Hey, Henoke." The man spun in a circle to show off everything he found. "Not bad, huh?"

Henoke crouched in front of a chest, digging through it as he tossed many of the contents behind him with little regard. There were rings, trinkets, armor and even wooden and metal sparring weapons. As he looked through the items, the key bearer thought about what he had just been talking about with Yuto, about his memory. He couldn't help but agree with the guy, though there was something bothering him. What if I start to forget other things...? It hadn't happened to him as of yet, but he didn't want to get too comfortable with the idea that he was safe from that happening. Ignoring the worry gnawing at the back of his head, Henoke grinned widely as he hard Yuto call his name.
"Not bad, huh?" Yuto spun in a circle, showing off the new items he had found. It appeared that this old abandoned castle had many surprises, both good and bad. His friend had managed to find a Keyblade replica, a false Keyblade that wasn't a bound or magical weapon, just one shaped and designed like a Keyblade. Many used such items to accustom themselves with the odd shape and weight of the weapons. For a moment, Henoke stared at the weapon mixed of wood and metal that was in his friends hand. "Oh cool! Now we both have one!" It didn't matter to Henoke if the Keyblade was an imposter, he was lost in his earlier thoughts of being in a bad ass, Heartless fighting Keyblade wielding duo. There was excitement in his tone.
"Careful with your fire, though." He recalled how Yuto seemed to mainly use fire magic and fire abilities, wondering if the sturdy replica would hold up to such intense flames. Seeing as how it was still made of wood, Henoke was unsure if it would combust or not. "Man, this is awesome!" Henoke leapt up onto his feet and ran over towards Yuto for a closer look at the replica weapon. Inspecting it, miming attacks of his own in the air as he laughed and talked with his comrade, Henoke felt a peace wash over him he hadn't felt in a while. I guess it has been some time, since I just hung out and goofed off with someone... After leaving the castle he had woken up in, he hadn't come across too many people yet.
He was thankful to have met Yuto on this world. He was sure that if he was by himself this empty castle would just seem depressing. As Yuto found holsters for his weapons, Henoke urged his friend on, pushing a practice dummy closer to where they were standing. It was a tall wooden thing, scratched and dented up quite a bit from frequent training. It seemed the students that had been on this world had been diligent. Patting the dummies back lightly, causing some dust to fly into the air as he coughed, Henoke grinned at his friend.
"Let's test it out! Show me some moves!"

He had to admit, it was pretty cool. Granted, it was just a replica. However, he remembered what Henoke said about Keyblades and how they showed up when they decided the wielder was ready. He didn't want to be caught off guard. He did only intend to use it as a backup weapon for emergencies. He was accustomed to his bat. 'No harm in being experienced in multiple weapons.'
"Careful with your fire, though." He had to admit, the amount of fire magic and fire based skills he used was concerning if he chose to use a wooden weapon. "Not to worry, It's a backup for if i lose my bat. He told the teen. "But, you do have a point. I should probably modify it." He examined the replikeyblade closely. While it was sturdy, it was hardly magic. The only reason his bat lasted this long was that he had it made that way. The person who did it wasn't around anymore, but Yuto was sure he could find a way to do it. "I'll probably see if a Moogle can do it."
He had to agree though, it was awesome. It was nice to have someone to goof off with. Especially someone who was close enough to him in age. He didn't have to mind what he said or did. 'It would've been lonely if Henoke wasn't here.' Not that he wasn't used to being alone, but it does tend to wear on a person after a while. Humans are social by nature. He watched as the teen brought over a well-worn practice dummy. "Let's test it out! Show me some moves!"
A little sudden an unexpected, but he was excited to try out his new weapon. "I'm gonna tell you right now, I haven't so much as seen one of these in years." He took his usual fighting stance in front of the dummy. The wooden replica was weighted differently than his bat, but he wasn't about to change his entire style because he wasn't used to his weapon. Yuto rushed the dummy with a flurry of strikes, some of which he saw the Master use. They passed the Mark of Mastery exam and dived into the Realm of Darkness to try and save him. They knew what they were doing. Combo after combo, Yuto beat on the dummy as hard as he could. He leaped back a few feet and threw the replikeyblade in the air. As it fell back down the man pulled out his bat and hit the wooden Keyblades hilt and as hard as he could, sending it straight at the dummy and lodging the weapon in its chest.
"Ok...I didn't expect that to work." He said in shock. "Like, at all. You ok?"

Henoke grinned widely as Yuto talked about modifying the replica Keyblade. It sounded like a great idea to him, as the Keyblade was a powerful weapon, even if it wasn't a real one. "I'll probably see if a Moogle can do it." The teen thought it was a smart plan, as Moogles were notoriously geniuses when it came to tinkering and creating things. If anyone could make a wooden Keyblade resistant to fire, it would have definitely been one of them. Looking around the large armory, Henoke wondered aloud: "I wonder if there are any on this world?" So far the two hadn't seen a single living being other than each other. It still caused Henoke to feel...a little off.
Getting his head out of his thoughts, Henoke urged Yuto to practice on the wooden training dummy. Standing behind it in order to keep it from totally flying from its spot on the floor, Henoke kept a safe distance, mainly keeping his weight on the long metal bar that propped it up. As Yuto began to unleash a flurry of impressive strikes with his replica Keyblade, excitement continued to blossom throughout the teen as he kept the dummy sturdy. Man, he's a natural! Pride swelled in Henoke a bit, he certainly knew how to choose his company. Yuto leaped backwards, hurling the wooden Keyblade into the air, using his bat to hit it, causing it to fire across the room like a missile.
Thunking into the dummy, the force from the impact caused the entire thing to shake, causing Henoke to fall backwards onto his rear as the dummy fell to the side with a crash! "Ok...I didn't expect that to work. Like, at all. You ok?" Yuto's voice rang out to Henoke, who sat with his head spinning seeing stars on the floor. Shaking his head a bit, the orange haired teen grinned before jumping back up to his feet, punching the air excitedly. "Oh man, that was awesome! Great job, Yuto!" It seemed the weapon would certainly come in handy. The bat wielder certainly had some interesting ideas for sword attacks. "I like your ingenuity!" He laughed, pulling the wooden Keyblade out from the dummy with a grunt.
Walking over to his comrade, Henoke smiled as he offered the weapon back to Yuto. "Keep that up, and you'll definitely become a powerful Keyblade master!" Resting his hands behind his head, Henoke glanced around the room.
"It does make me wonder, though. If they were this stocked up, what happened to everyone?" Henoke found it hard to believe an entire castle filled with Keyblade masters and trainees to have been overcome by Heartless, especially seeing as how the world hadn't faded into darkness yet. "I mean, they had plenty of weapons." If the locals of this world had chosen to leave, wouldn't they have taken all of their items with them? It caused the wielder to think something fishy had happened here. It was certainly a mystery to Henoke.
The lack of townsfolk on this world was disturbing him a bit.

"Oh, thanks." He said, taking the replica back. He couldn't help but smile at the praise. It was refreshing to have someone to train with. "Honestly, ingenuity was key in that week of training. And as for the Moogles,", He examined the Keyblade for any sign of damage. "I'm sure I'll find one somewhere. Don't worry too much about it."
"It does make me wonder, though. If they were this stocked up, what happened to everyone? I mean, they had plenty of weapons." He took another look around the room while holstering his weapons. It was odd that an entire armory was still here. Especially if the world was full of wielders at one point. Almost as if they didn't have a choice. "You're right. It would be one thing if we found a few odds and ends, but this?" Something was definitely off. The last time he saw something like this, Radiant Garden was opened to the darkness. Though, the people were still there when that travesty happened.
Yuto walked down the hall, taking note of not just all the weapons and items, but all of the dust and cobwebs that had formed on a lot of things. 'How did I not notice any of this?' The man thought to himself, brushing the blonde of his hair out of his face. Now that he noticed off of these things the castle felt a lot eerier.
"Hey, Henoke, how long do you think this place has been like this?" It was definitely a shorter amount of time than Scala, but it was a while. 'A couple hundred years maybe? No idea.' Spending time in another realm really messed up his sense of time. He couldn't even tell what day it was half the time. "If they left, they've been gone for a while. A long while." He looked back at the teen "Any ideas on why they would want to stay away?"

"You're right. It would be one thing if we found a few odds and ends, but this?" Yuto's confirmation of his hunch only caused Henoke's heart to sink a bit. Suddenly there was an ominous feeling to the castle around him, what had once seemed like a large playground for the two bros to hang in suddenly became an eery place that reeked of suspicion. "Hey, Henoke, how long do you think this place has been like this?" Yuto's voice rang out through the dark room, causing Henoke to turn and seek his outline. He hadn't really noticed it before, but after hearing his friend's comment the key bearer began to notice smaller details he had overlooked.
Cobwebs hung from the banisters of the ceilings, indicating years of neglect and disregard. Looking down at his hands that had so eagerly rifled through chests and items, Henoke grimaced in disgust as he noticed the lick layer of dust on his hands. He hadn't really noticed, since the room was so dark. "Hm...it definitely seems like it's been a long time..." But just how long had there been no people? No working electricity? Nothing to accompany this large and vast castle other than Heartless? For a moment, Henoke's mind spun as he thought of how much time had seemingly passed by with no one being aware of this world's condition. Didn't many masters look out for the world order, even in far away places? There was a gnawing suspicion in the back of his mind, though he couldn't place a finger on it.
"Any ideas on why they would want to stay away?" The question struck Henoke through the chest as his body went stiff for a moment in the darkness. Stay away... That's what he hadn't been thinking of. Since the people were gone, Henoke had assumed they had either been taken or destroyed. If they had chosen to leave of their own accord however, if something had chased off an entire world of Keyblade wielders...was it still here? The thought sent a wash of terror throughout the teen, though it only lasted a moment. Finding his courage, Henoke made a fist in the air as he spun on his heels in the dark, his voice loud and echoing through the empty room.
"No idea! But whatever it was, if it's around, we'll take care of it!" He was confident in his own abilities, as well as Yuto's. With the two of them around, the key bearer was sure they could handle anything. Walking around the remainder of the room, Henoke's hands stumbled upon another door as they ran across the smooth marble wall of the armory. Finding the handle, Henoke turned to Yuto's direction and hollered across the room.
"Hey! I found an exit! Wanna check out what's next?" The eery feeling of the castle remained, but Henoke refused to let that spur his adventurous and courageous nature.

"Let's hope so." He admired the teen's confidence but he couldn't help but feel worried. The last time he faced something big he didn't exactly get off scot-free. 'That was a while ago though.' He comforted himself. 'Besides, I got better.' He still couldn't shake his worry. Something big had to make the inhabitants of this world leave the way they appear to have. He just couldn't figure out what it was.
"Hey! I found an exit! Wanna check out what's next?" The man was curious about what else was here. "Lead on." Yoto said, heading over to the door that his friend had found.

Pushing against the door that he had found, Henoke gazed down at a long staircase that disappeared into darkness. There was a surge of pressure he felt from below them, one that caused his hair to stand straight on edge. There's something down there... Holding up a hand, looking over his shoulder at Yuto, the key bearer lowered his voice to a hushed whisper. "Yuto, do you feel that?" Looking over at his partner, Henoke couldn't help but feel the shift in energy around them. The air felt heavier, a pressure seeming to steadily force down upon the two. Is it Heartless? The presence didn't feel like it did whenever he encountered a large Heartless or source of darkness. It felt different.
Confused and slightly intrigued, Henoke began down the staircase, careful to avoid falling in the darkness. As his steps echoed into the nothingness, the teen realized he was holding his breath as he exhaled heavily, the pressure getting heavier and thicker the further down he got. "Well, we'll see what it is." A ray of light burst into existence as suddenly the 'Steel Heart' appeared in his right hand, gripped at his side. The long steel grey Keyblade was almost invisible in the dark, Henoke kept his left hand on the wall beside him as he walked down, allowing him to keep his footing easier.
As the brightly colored teen emerged at the bottom of the stair case, his eyes began to adjust to the darkness. There were no windows in this place, the forgotten castle not having any electricity or torches of any kind. Because of this, the large library the two emerged in most likely was overlooked in its once beautiful demeanor. A large rectangular room, the library was a maze of bookshelves and tables littered with forgotten books. Cobwebs hung from the ceiling and many banisters, most books that were left open on a table had already begun to be eaten by insects and mites, most of the pages littered with holes and decaying.
The staircase had led the two to a large arched doorway, which had one long aisle that cut through the center of the library, in between all of the bookshelves. There were many different small snaking trails created by the book cases, not allowing one to see the entire room at first glance. It was a bit more cramped in this space, considering how much stuff was here. Looking around, Henoke walked over slowly to one of the many forgotten and decaying books. Lifting up a hard cover for a moment, Henoke grimaced as the pages slid from the binding to the floor, the cover itself cracking and beginning to crumble in his hand.
"Urgh...seems like it's been too long for us to gather information with these." Henoke's heart fell to his stomach. Here was countless information around them about this world, how it worked, the people that lived on it, what had happened to make it like this...him and Yuto would never know now. Everything was just so old and useless. The pressure was more intense down in this room. Henoke kept looking over his shoulder, sensing the heavy presence that never seemed to emerge.
"Hey, Yuto. Keep your guard up. I don't like this place." Henoke left his Keyblade gripped in his hand, his free hand roaming through shelves and tables. Wondering exactly what the deal was with this place, the teen figured it best to begin to explore. A library would be a good spot to hide secrets. Henoke thought himself rather clever as he began to snoop around for information, dismayed at the fact almost all of the books were unusable.

As he approached the door, the shift in pressure hit him like a freight train. 'Not good. Very not good.' While he didn't know what was causing it, Yuto could guess the caliber of what they would face if it decided to emerge. He couldn't help but be on edge as he got to the doorway. "Henoke, I can taste that." He joked, more for his sake than anything.
"Well, we'll see what it is." Yuto looked at the teen in shock before following him down the steps. The pressure was becoming more intense the further they went. So much so that there were a couple of times that the man forgot to breathe. Yuot pulled his bat out only to see that Henoke had the same idea. 'Good, even if we're surprised it won't be the end of the world.'
When they reached the bottom of the steps Yuto couldn't help but be in awe at the sheer size of the library they had just entered. His eyes having adjusted to the darkness, he could see that the room was large and the shelves of books made it largely mazelike. 'There's gotta be some good info around here.' He reached for a book on one of the shelves. 'I wonder how well they held up.' Yuto went to take the book he was reaching for, only to have part of the spine crumble away. 'Not that well, apparently.'
"Urgh...seems like it's been too long for us to gather information with these." The teen was right. If one or two of these books were like this, it was safe to assume that they were all like this. The pressure in the library was immense. Yuto had a hard time concentrating for long without checking over his shoulder. The only other time he acted like this was the Realm of Darkness. Even then, however, the danger was usually immediate. thinking on it, the pressure felt familiar, he just couldn't place it.
"Keep your guard up. I don't like this place." Understatement of the century, to be sure. Henoke was right though, they should be on their guard. Looking around, the darkness and subsequent shadows started to look a little more unnatural. Maybe the pressure and his paranoia were playing tricks on him. He shook it off and went over to the table that his friend was at. "Find anything useful?" Yuto asked, leaning on the table.

Roaming the maze like paths that the large bookcases created in the large room, Henoke peered through many shelfs and attempted to read the book titles he saw. Most of the books were covered in thick dust, though when he reached to brush some off, the book fell and crumbled in a pile on the floor with a loud thud. "Find anything useful?" Yuto's voice rang out in the dark library, echoing off of the walls in the silence. The pressure in the room was still thick and heavy, though the Keyblade the teen held helped him ward off the sensations. Being a weapon of light, it wouldn't allow its user to be so easily overwhelmed by the mere aura of the dark. Hollering back from where he was, Henoke winced a bit as his voice traveled in the echoed space. "Nah...all the books keep falling apart!"
Turning to his left, Henoke's feet guided him down another pathway, though this one seemed darker than the rest. Despite how long the two had been exploring this vacant castle, his adjusted eyes still couldn't make out much details further than ten feet ahead of him. It was odd, how much darker this one path was, as Henoke glanced back at the one he had just come from. The general dimness and lack of light caused everything to be dark...but this darkness was impenetrable by gaze. Halting his steps for a moment, Henoke gripped the 'Steel Heart' at his side tightly, ready in case anything seemed to emerge.
Looking over his shoulder in the direction of the entrance, Henoke shouted out for Yuto. "Wait! I found something weird over here!" Turning back to look down the pathway, it seemed even darker than before, somehow. Is my mind playing tricks on me...? He took another step forward, even the bright color of his orange hair seemed lost in this vast darkness.
He waited for Yuto before continuing down the hallway, which seemed to disappear into darkness itself.

Yuto blew on some of the spines of the books, only to get a face full of dust. 'He's got nothing either, eh?' It wasn't surprising. judging by the amount of dust and the state of the books, he guessed that this place was abandoned for at least a few decades. Possibly a century. "I found something weird over here!" The man rounded the corner, following his friend's voice. What'd ya fi- The sentence didn't finish leaving the man's mouth before he noticed what was basically a wall of darkness.
"Uh-oh," Yuto said, color draining from his face. He was right about earlier, some of the shadows were unnatural. "Hey, Henoke. Do me a favor and stand behind me, yeah?" If he was right, which at this point was around a ninety-five percent chance he was, then this darkness was worse than anything that normally invaded worlds. If that was the case, well Yuto could easily get out of the Realm of Darkness, or wherever it would send him. Henoke, on the other hand, he wasn't so sure, nor was he willing to find out. "It's nothing personal, I just need you to cover me if things go sideways, okay?"
Yuto didn't want to worry the teen anymore than he probably already was. The pressure by the darkness was heavier next to this part of the hallway than anywhere else in this room. He stood at the ready, waiting for something to happen.
