Red had been hoping for something besides a jungle. After all they had just come out of one for the most part. But he had asked Annalese and by doing so had made it her decision. Well the jungle it would be then! "Sounds fine to me." Red said to the rest of them.
However neither Red nor Artemis realized what Jean just did. Artemis knew nothing of Red's last name, nor Red Artemis's. It would remain that way until Jean said something.
Seeing as everyone seemed to agree with the decision of the jungle, Red opened his palm and summoned his keyblade. Pointing it in the air to an open space, he opened a black portal. He had been to the jungle before. Only for a short time and his experience there was not a great one. But perhaps this time would be different.
Somehow he doubted it. Red couldn't help but feel that they were walking into even greater danger then here. Yet what could he say. Annalese wanted to go, so they would. Besides it was the best place to train. He needed to do just that. And he was sure the others would benefit some training as well.
"Let's go then." Once everyone had gone through, Red stepped in through the portal himself. And into the deep jungle.
-------------------
Somewhere on a very distant world, a man sat upon a large chair. He sat at the the head of a long table that stretch across the conference room. There were fifteen chairs in the room and a different person sat in each. All were dressed in business suits and different colored ties.
Almost every head was turned to a speaker in the middle of the table. He read from a sheet of paper in front of him. The only person not taking in the man's reading with intensity was the person at the front of the table. His chair was turned to the large clear window at the end of the room.
He gazed out of the window starring down at the world below. It was impossible to tell what he was thinking. But every person in that table knew he was listening. Just as they knew that if those words didn't please him, he would take it out on the reader.
Finally the reader finished. His hands had been shaking as he read the paper, his eyes never leaving the page. The fear on his face was easily seen. "That's all sir."
The chair slowly turned and the man sitting at the head was clearly not pleased. "That's all you have to tell me? I told you to kill every life form, every speck of life in the slums. And you tell me you have them locked up instead?"
"But sir! They are just woman and children..."
The man's eyes lit up. "I AM THE HEAD OF SHINRA! I OWN THIS GOD FORSAKEN COUNTRY!" The anger that flashed left almost as soon as it arrived. "This can be fixed.... Perhaps we can make an example of them. Bartz. Kill them all in front of the building. Let all see that those who stand against us shall die."
"But Commander Wilder...."
"MY NAME IS SILVER!" If Bartz could have shrank at that moment he would of. But he did fall deeper into his chair, almost hiding form the man's anger.
"Sorry. Sir Silver..."
Silver shook his head. "Bartz. Do as I say. Or your dead body will be joining those women and children. Now all of you get out of here!" One by one the rest of the Board of the Shinra Corporation left. Only Silver was left in the room. He rose from his chair and looked out the window once more.
"Only a few more days Jean. Only a few more. Then we will have our battle." He said with an insane grin.
((OOC: Hope this is alright. I'll leave it up to you to start the thread in the Deep Jungle.))
