Merlina didn't like the way Riley was acting. When Riley turned around his new red eyes made Merlina feel worse. What came over Riley? Before he turned back around Merlina noticed that his mark was glowing red. Merlina was sure it was black when he fell into this world. It must have been part of the curse Riley told them about before.
Merlina nodded to Eria. She didn't like this purple-haired Riley. As the horseman summoned heartless to his aid they paid no attention to Riley. It seemed that it would be up to her and Eria to keep the heartless busy while Riley took care of the horseman. Eria got in between her and the heartless and took two of them out.
Merlina was glad Riley wasn't helping them with the heartless. She didn't want to be anywhere near him while he was like this. There were only three shadows and three darkballs left, which were now coming their way. Eria and Riley were doing their part now it was time for Merlina to do hers.
She got in front of Eria and slammed her staff on the ground. She began to chant a spell. " Artakis ligta artakis barrga!" she yelled. On the ground below her a three flat white circles appeared. They started spinning around her as a white aura rose up from them and came to Merlina's hand. Out from her hand shot out twenty orbs of light at the heartless. In a flash of light they were destroyed.
The horseman was having a terrible time with Riley. Riley seemed to be able to block all his attacks while getting some in. Every time he swung with his lance Riley block with one of his twin blades and attacked him with the other. He found himself blocking more than attacking. The fact that when Riley attacked his horse it disappeared into darkness didn't help. That was his only edge.
Riley was getting bored with the horseman. he was nowhere near his level. " I hope you're ready to die, because will be the final blow. I would say it was nice knowing you.. but you are nothing more than a waste of time and blood. I bet your parents are so proud." Riley jumped a few few back he he held his twin blades behind him. he dashed at the horseman at his top speed. he stopped a few feet behind the horseman. He quickly dashed back to him using the same move.
The horseman was left with four deep cuts on him. Darkness was slowly leaving his body. " Don't be too happy you little brat. This was just a test. If you somehow find Daiken's castle i dough you'll get to me. And even if you do i swear i'll make you regret making a fool out of me!" His body slowly disappeared.
Riley slowly turned around to Eria and Merlina. " Now that the waste of blood is gone, it's time to take care of everything else in this world." Before Riley could do anything his mark started glowing again. This time it was glowing blue. A bright flash of light covered him. When the light faded away, he was back to normal. He looked at the other two, this time his face wasn't angry. He remembered what all happened and lowed his head.

Eira was wondering if the curse made Riley the way he was right now. Things didn't seem right, as far as she knew and there was no telling with curses at times. She just hoped that they wouldn't fall victim to Riley's wild state. The ice mage couldn't focus on what was happening since Heartless had come their way. After disposing of some, Eira had to brace herself for more attacks. Being scratched certainly wasn't pleasant but she couldn't afford to let the things get Merlina, whose fighting prowess she wasn't certain of.
Merlina suddenly got between Eira and the Heartless after Eira had stumbled over during the fight. Slamming her staff on the ground, Merlina began to chant. All Eira could do was try to get to her feet. She worried that Merlina would get attacked by the Heartless which were now advancing on Merlina whom had gotten in their way. Thankfully, Merlina's chanting had ceased as orbs shot forth at all of the remaining Heartless. Before long, they were all destroyed.
"...Well, that was...nice!" Eira stated, too surprised to fully register what she had just seen then. Now, they could focus on Riley and how things were going with that horseman. It looked like Riley was on the winning end. Eira was under the impression that the man was powerful but Riley had wounded him greatly. Riley would have killed him if not for the man being either taken away or disappearing on the spot before Riley could perform the finishing blow.
It was now just the three of them once more...and the enemy now knew where they were. "So much for hiding..." Eira trailed off before Riley brought their attention back onto him. Hearing his words sent an unpleasant chill down her spine as the enemy that Riley had been fighting left. Riley seemed keen to take his wrath out on everything else. Eira, at that moment, had wrapped her arms around Merlina in a hug out of fright.
Then, the mark on Riley's chest started to glow another color. This time, it was blue. Before they knew it, the angry look on Riley's face had gone and he now lowered his head. It were as if he were depressed or ashamed but could this be the same Riley? Releasing Merlina, Eira tentatively spoke, unsure if this Riley was safe to approach. "...Riley? ...You...okay?" Eira asked him cautiously. If Riley blew up on her, Eira would turn tail and run for it.

Merlina was proud that she took care of the rest of the heartless. She was the type to always help people and never put herself first. Now all that was left was the horseman. Riley seemed to have everything under control. Merlina was amazed by the final blow Riley gave to him. She had never seen anything move that fast.
Merlina hate to admit it, but she was glad Riley didn't kill him. She didn't want anyone dying because of her even if they were evil. What Riley said next concerned Merlina. Did he only mean the evil ones, or everyone no matter what? When Riley turned around Merlina didn't blame Eria for holding on to her. The look on his face showed he wasn't friendly. Merlina held on to her staff. She didn't want to fight Riley, she wanted to avoid fighting.
Merlina calmed down when Riley turned back to normal. But since the mark glowed blue was it normal Riley or a different version of him. Was the Riley she knew when she summoned him even the normal one? Only time would tell. Se wanted to ask Riley if it was part of his curse to go and change like that. The fear of him going berserk on them prevented that.
" It's my curse. It's been like this since that day." Riley said as he picked his head up. The look on his face was full of guilt. He should have told them sooner. He shouldn't have put them in danger like that. " Since I got this curse the curse has changed colors at random times. Every time it changes color my appearance and mood changes. I don't know how many colors it can change into. Whenever it glows red i go on psychotic rampages and want to kill everything in my path. I've hurt the innocent..those I've loved because of it and there's nothing i can do about. After Ren destroyed our home world i left everyone because i didn't want to hurt them anymore."
Riley couldn't live with this curse anymore. He didn't want to hurt anyone anymore. he has been trying to find a way to reverse the curse. So far he has found nothing close to it. He wanted to be alone until he found a cure( no pun intended). That way no one else would get hurt. Then he could go back to what mattered, bringing his brother back to the light.

The mark on Riley's chest was now glowing a blue color. Just what did all the glowing colors stand for anyway? Eira wondered but she feared that she would set Riley off again if she dared to ask. As if he understood their confusion, Riley had explained that it was his curse. According to Riley, it had been like this since he had been cursed. As they stood there, Riley explained what had happened to him. It was a sad story.
Okay...mental note...red means bad." Eira had murmured this to herself. The others wouldn't have really heard her since she had said it under her breath basically. Was there a cure for it? Well, that remained yet to be seen. No doubt, the mood swings because of that curse would be...problematic. Eira was in quite a pickle it seemed.
"Well...uh...if we're lucky we might find a cure for that curse along the way...and if not, we can always leave the bad guys to deal with a glowing red mark Riley as our wild card." She was trying to shed some humor on the situation, if only a little. It would be amusing, indeed, to see the enemy flee in terror from an angry Riley.
"Do you know what triggers the sudden changes?"

Merlina listened as Riley told the tale of his curse. Apparently this wasn't the only world Ren had messed with. If Riley's sad story is true, the whole Ren thing must have started on his own home world. Merlina felt sorry for Riley having to deal with his curse. She didn't think she could live with a curse like that for a day, and Riley has been dealing with it for two years.
Merlina slowly walked over and slowly put a hand on his shoulder. " I can't image how hard it is for you to go through this curse. But i know what it's like to lose the people you care about. If you stick with me and help me with my problem i'll return the favor. The enemy knows were we are it's better if we get to the hideout and remain out of sight for now." Merlina nodded to Riley and kept going down the trial.
Merlina stopped in front of an old tree. She slowly put her hand on it and began to speak a old spell. " Arizes openga letegos!" The was a low creak as a line of light appeared on the tree in the shape of a door. The door slowly opened inwards into Merlina's hideout. The spell had been past down from her father to her. She had used it her first time coming into the forest trying to find her father's old place. It took some time and many tries but in the end it was worth it.
Normally Riley would laugh at Eria's wild card joke. But he wasn't in the mood to laugh. If he was back on his home world everyone would swear he was sick. That was the only time he didn't joke around. He couldn't help but smile a little.
Riley hoped they would find a cure along the way. It would put a end to a two year quest. Then he would have to work on getting the old Ren back. He had been trying to do them both at the same time but that wasn't working out. so far nothing causes them i think. It just happens randomly. That's the worst part of it. If it was something i could get rid of it or control it."

Eira watched as Merlina approached Riley and placed a hand on his shoulder. She listened as Merlina promised to help Riley resolve his problem if he helped her with her's. Eira said nothing as Merlina told them that they should get to the hideout now and stay out of sight for the time being. She merely nodded as Merlina turned and headed down the trail leading toward where the hideout would be. As the three headed down the trail, they eventually came up to what looked to be an old tree. Stopping before it, Merlina spoke what sounded like a sort of spell. Eira heard a low creak as a light shown down in the shape of a door. It opened up and Merlina stepped through it.
"Well, that certainly comes in handy!" Eira stated.
While they stood there, she heard Riley's response. Where he wasn't in the mood to respond much, she still saw a faint trace of a smile on his face at the wild card joke she made. As he explained that there was no way for him to control it since it happened at random, Eira gave a nod. That certainly didn't sound good but they were stuck here together so there was no avoiding it.
"Alrighty, we'll just make sure to watch out for the glowing red then. I might not look it but if I don't get tripped up, I can run fast...of course, not as fast as you but I can try! Maybe Merlina can teleport us or something. In either case, don't worry about it too much."
After she said this, Eira headed into the hideout after Merlina. Since she had her hood up the whole time during the fight and after, her identity would not be easily known.

Inside the door in the tree opened up into a huge room. it had many bookshelves filled with huge book, mot likely magical ones. Near the back of the room stood a metal pedestal with a small hole in it. In the center of the room the laid a wooden table with a map laying on it. There was a small staircase that led to a room upstairs.
Upstairs they would find a old attic that was mostly filled with spider webs. It acted as a second floor that was meant to be turned into a bedroom by Merlina's father. He never got the chance to finish this place after Ren came into the world. Merlina turned to both of them. " This was originally my father's place. He was making it as a safe house after the heartless were overrunning the world. Our family was going to move here until we could build a resistance against the heartless Ren brought and Daiken. We never made it here after someone named Sasuke Mei led a group of heartless into our village..."
Her seemed to trail off after she was talking about her family. It had been a few years since it happened but it still upset Merlina. Normally someone would swear vengeance on Ren and everyone close to him for what he did, but Merlina wasn't that type. Even though Riley was Ren's twin, she couldn't blame him for what happened. She hoped Eria had a better plan b with dealing with red Riley. Merlina didn't know any warping spells. She couldn't tell her, her reaction would be worst.
Riley was going to tell them about all the different colors it glowed. But at this point it didn't seem to matter. So far red was the only color that was dangerous to people around him. After Riley entered he was amazed at all the books that were there. Even with his speed reading it would take him a while to read them all.
Riley listened as Merlina began to speak. Apparently this place was made by Merlina's father. After Merlina told them what happened with Ren and Sasuke Riley couldn't help but feel guilty. He still blamed himself for what happened with Ren. But he remembered his vow. After finding a cure he would bring the old Ren back. The hole in the metal pedestal began to glow.

When they entered the hideout, Eira looked around. It was a large room with many bookshelves. All of the books contained within them appeared to be rather large in size. Eira didn't need to guess at what the pages of those books contained. They had to be magical with maybe an occasional historical book. There was a set of stairs leading upward. Judging by the cobweb that was strung just above it, the upstairs wasn't used all that much. How long they were going to be here?
As Eira had been wondering this, Merlina had turned to them then. This had once been her father's place. It was going to be a safe house after the Heartless had arrived here in this world. They were going to move to this safe house until they could form a resistance against the Heartless. However, they never made it here since someone, which Merlina named, had a group of Heartless attack their village. Eira looked down at the dusty floor. She felt ashamed for acting the way she had when she first met them. Merlina sounded like she really needed the help. Even still, Eira didn't have much confidence in herself. There was no way that she could possibly be a hero like Merlina was lead to believe. She was a clumsy young girl. What good could she do?
In the middle of the room, the pedestal began to glow. Out of reaction to glowing things now, Eira became alert and attentive. Her first thought was Riley but when she saw that his mark wasn't exactly glowing, and found it was the pedestal, she looked at it curiously. "...What's happening? What is that?"

Merlina looked up when Eria asked what was happening. She turned around to find the hole in the pedestal glowing. All the time she had spent here it never did that before. Was it because there were more people here? It didn't seem to be doing anything at the moment. She never paid attention to the pedestal since it didn't move when she tried. Maybe this time would be different.
She made her way to it and tried to move it. It wouldn't budge for her. Merlina found this odd. Normally when pedestals glow they move or the sword in them can be pulled out. This pedestal wasn't moving or giving any swords. She didn't know what to think of it. Suddenly her white book started glowing again as a new page appeared.
Merlina opened up the book as she read the new page. She had been waiting for it to show a new one. This time it had a picture of a weapon Merlina had never seen before. It was a sword that had the shape of a dragon wing. It was blue and red and had a eye on it's handle.
Riley looked up as he noticed something glowing. At first he looked at his mark. This time it wasn't him. He looked over and saw Merlina go over to the pedestal. After failing to move it her book started glowing again. Eria was the only one without something that glowed it seemed. So far every time her book glowed something happened. First it was him being brought here, then Eria, and now this.
After Merlina looked at the page Riley's hand started glowing with darkness. It took the shape of the weapon in Merlina's book. It was Riley's keyblade. He almost forgot he had one. It had been some time since he needed it.
" What is that?" Merlina asked when she saw Riley was holding the weapon.
" It's my keyblade. After training with my master for a few years i was able to use one like her. She told be it could open any lock," Riley explained
The end of Riley's keyblade started glowing. A beam of light shot out of it as it went to the pedestal. The pedestal glowed white as it slowly disappeared. In it's place was a door to a large room that had writing on the walls. They were in some old langue from Merlina's world.

Eira, when Merlina questioned the glowing thing, had taken a step away from it. After having seen one previously glowing thing, she wasn't intent on getting close to something else that decided to glow at random. There was no telling if it would be harmful or not. Despite that, the other two were getting nearer to it. 'Those two are bat crazy!' she thought nervously, watching from a distance as something happened to Riley's hand.
As she turned her gaze onto Riley, she could see something swirling about his hand before finally, an object appeared. It was a keyblade! Yes, even Eira knew what those were. They were the fabled weapons of lore that were said to accomplish many magnificent things. Eira couldn't help but let out a gasp in awe at it. As Riley explained to Merlina what the weapon was, Eira added on to that.
"It's not just any lock opening weapon either! These weapons are said to either choose their wielders or are inherited. Those who have one go through a lot of training to become a keyblade master. They are the most powerful warriors in the universe. Depending on the keyblader, they can throw a world into darkness or save it from darkness. They can release the hearts that Heartless have stolen and are gifted with many magical capabilities. I didn't know you were a keyblade wielder, Riley!" Eira stated.
The end of Riley's keyblade glowed and then emitted a light as it hit the glowing pedestal. When it did, the pedestal disappeared and in its place appeared a large door. Eira glanced over at the others in wonder before one of them opened the door. When they did, Eira and the others had found a large room with writing all over the walls in some sort of language she didn't recognize. "...I...don't...understand a word of this..." Eira stated slowly as she walked in, glancing around in wonder. Just what had they stumbled upon?

Riley looked up as Eria talked about keyblades. He didn't think Eria would know about them. " My master was a keyblade Master. She took me in after my village was burned down. After many adventures and years of training with her i was able to use a keyblade. Before our home world was destroyed she said i was almost a master. I still don't know what my test is." He hadn't been using his keyblade much since the whole Ren thing. He really only used it when he had too. He didn't want his glowing red form to have a minute with his keyblade.
He looked around the room he seemed to have unlocked. Was it always here? Judging by the writing on the walls this place was made long ago. Riley couldn't make out the words on the walls, it was in some old langue he didn't speak. These could have been written by Merlina's father, seeing how he made the hideout.
Merlina couldn't believe that there was a hidden room behind the pedestal all this time. She had tried to see if there was anything magical about it and there was nothing out of the ordinary with it. Riley having just the right thing to open this room reassured Merlina that the book hadn't lied to her yet. They were meant to be brought to this world.
Before Merlina would ask what else a keyblade could do Eria talked about them. Merlina couldn't believe there was a weapon that could release the hearts the heartless took. Apparently people chosen by the keyblade had to power to make a world fall into darkness or save it from darkness. That was it, Merlina needed to hear something like that. Riley had just the weapon to save the world. And according to Riley he was almost a Keyblade Master!
Merlina now had new hope for her world. her face seemed to be filled with joy. But just how did a oversize key save a world? Merlina looked around the new room and at the writing. " It's written in leainly Elvish. I can read it," Merlina told them. She slowly looked at the writing as he translated it to English." Across the world lies the three magical stones. One of light, one of ice, and one of chaos. One lies under the sleeping cave. Another lies in the hall of the frozen king. And the last lies sealed away. When the other two are gathered only they have the power to break the seal on the one of chaos. When all three are found only then will the path to the moving dark castle can be found. In order for the path to be found the three stone must be with the one key. Once the path is found the moving castle will stand still once more."

Eira listened as Riley explained that his master had taken him in when his village had burned down. After years of training, he had finally been able to wield a keyblade. According to his master, he was almost a master. Riley still didn't know what his test would be. Eira wondered if there was some sort of process that had to take place. Would Riley know right off or could it be this very situation that Riley was in right now? Even Eira had yet to take a test from her adoptive father. Of course, it was nothing like a keyblade wielder's test but even she had a test that she would have to surpass before her father would call her a full fledged magic user.
"I guess when the time comes, you'll just know. If you're lucky, maybe it will be during this journey we're on right now."
As the three of them entered the room, Eira wasn't able to grasp anything. She knew they had to have meant something. What, she didn't know. Did any of the others know how to read it? Eira glanced over at Riley and then Merlina. Merlina seemed to be testing the inscriptions to see if there was anything magical about them. Nothing was magical about them from what it looked like. Then, finally, Merlina spoke to them. It was some sort of Elvish and that she could read it.
Quietly, Eira listened to what Merlina was saying. Apparently, some kind of stones were necessary to gather in order to open a path to a moving, dark castle. There was also mention of a key but there wasn't any idea of where this key was said to be unlike the stones. "Could that be related to what we're doing here maybe? If so...guess we'd better get cracking then!" Eira stated. "Where are we even going to find those things anyway? What key?"

" Maybe. Or my test could be years from now. I am only 15 after all."Riley listened as Merlina translated for them. Apparently there were three magic stones lost in this world. After all three were gathered, along with a key a path would open. What type of key was it. The writing didn't give a hint to where to find it. Was it with one of the stones?
Riley looked at his keyblade. He didn't think it matter if they found the key or not, they had an oversize one. The three stones must be the way to find Daiken. Did Merlina's father write this when he was making this place just in case something went wrong? Did he already know the stones were the only way? If so why didn't he get them himself or send someone after them. Riley stopped asking questions to himself, his head was hurting.
Merlina tried to make sense of it. She had heard about three stones before. She couldn't figure out where she heard it before. The writing left hints about where to find the stones. A sleeping cave, the hall of the frozen king, and one sealed away. Merlina had no idea what it was talking about.
Merlina thought about all the caves she knew that could be the sleeping cave. Just what was a sleeping cave? Merlina thought for a bit until it came to her. There was a cave that had the nickname " The Sleeping Cave". " I don't know about the others, but i think i know where the sleeping cave is. There's a deep cave far out in the west. A long time ago it was called the sleeping cave. It was where soldiers slept during times of war."
Merlina went out of the room. She went upstairs and grabbed an old backpack. She came back downstairs and went to the map on the table. On the back of it she wrote the writing on the wall. For when they needed to find out where the net one was they would need it. She put the map in her backpack, even if they found out where it was they would still need a map. Merlina didn't know all the places in this world.

Eira gave a shrug then at what Riley said about his test maybe taking longer than that. "I'm sure when it's time, you'll know. All keybladers do...or so I've been told." As Merlina translated for them, Eira could only wonder just what they were going to do. Did they have to find these stones themselves? It seemed like it. Who wrote that stuff in there though? Could it really have been Merlina's father or someone else?
Eventually, Merlina stated that she knew where the "Sleeping Cave" was. According to her, it was where the soldiers had slept during the time of war. Quietly, Eira watched as Merlina went to get an old backpack and then scribble something on a map. Did this mean they were heading out now?
"So...we're heading out now then? Not taking a break here and waiting for a bit before setting out?" Eira had asked her curiously. She just wanted to make sure that she was on the same page as everyone else. She wasn't sure that she liked the idea of heading out already.

" I hope your right." Riley didn't think he was ready for the test. From watching his master he thought he still had a lot to learn. He just didn't think he was Keyblade Master material yet. After Merlina told then what the writing said she told them what she thought the sleeping cave meant.
From what Merlina told them it sounded like it could be it. Merlina left them and went upstairs. She came back down with a backpack and starting writing on the back of a map. That was when Eria asked if they were just gonna head off now. If we leave now it's fine by me. It doesn't matter not like the stones are going anywhere right?"
Riley didn't care if they rested for a bit or just went off. It would be nice if they rested. He didn't show it but that battle had worn him out. Going at his full speed really drains him. Plus he felt drained when he turned back to normal. He was starting to thing is curse was slowly draining him each time it went into effect. The times it happens is too few and far in between for him to tell right now.
Merlina wanted to get out of the hideout as soon as possible. Every second that went by was a second closer to her world being gone. But she did understand if they wanted to rest. They had just gotten out of a battle.
Merlina didn't feel like she was rushing them. The writing in the secret room just came out of nowhere. It was the only lead she had to saving her world after the white book. Still she didn't want to push them to fast.
" Daiken knows where we are now. I think it's best if we get out of here as fast as we can. The longer we're here the higher the chance this place will become surrounded by a army of heartless. But... i understand if you need rest." While saving her planet was important to her she didn't want to do it at the cost of other people. Especially when she had summoned those two from their own home world because a book told her too. She didn't think she could ever tell them she got the idea from an unfinished book. They might mark her as crazy and try to find their own way back to their homes.

Eira gave a nod at what Riley said. Hopefully, she was right but even if she wasn't, it was only something that she had been told or had read somewhere. It didn't mean it was the truth. Being cooped up in the home that she and her adoptive father lived in, Eira did a lot of reading. She was no genius but she was more informed with certain things. Marrac had made it clear to her that a well educated mind was better than one that knew nothing. She might not recollect everything she had read but there were some pieces that stuck to her mind. Pieces that might prove useful one day. Until then, it wasn't clear when that would be.
As she stood there, Eira waited for Merlina's response. Bringing her gaze over to Riley when he spoke, Eira lifted an eyebrow at him. Honestly, she could care less if they were to head out right now. However, they had just been through a fight. Wouldn't rest be the proper course of action before setting out? Besides, Riley did a heck of a lot in that battle. Merlina and Eira didn't even compare. Surely, he was tired wasn't he? Unless, of course, Riley was just that strong? If so, Eira was astounded. She had quite a ways before she could even hope to be of much help magic wise. Marrac, her adoptive father, could do things she could never hope to do. It seemed her magical capabilities were only linked to one element and only with the help from her scythe. Without it, she feared that she would be useless.
Finally, Merlina replied stating that Daiken had figured out where they were. It was best for them to leave as soon as possible. "Well...his minions didn't see us actually get to this hideout so..." Eira trailed off in thought. Surely, after that encounter, no Heartless had followed them? There was that possibility too. A spy could have maybe seen them reach here after that fight so there was that point. "Then again, there could have been a spy that saw us without us knowing...well, if you want to go, I'm fine with that. It's not that big of a deal."

Riley was trying not to show that he was worn out. He didn't like the idea of a spy finding out where they were. He didn't want to drag the other two behind because he was tired. " There is that chance of a spy seeing us come in here. I think it's better if we didn't take that chance and get moving. Then even if he knows we're here we'll be far away." Riley didn't think Daiken would know where they were going. It's not like he read the writing on the wall.
But then again, they would have to get out of the forest. This was both a good and a bad thing. On one hand they were in a forbidden forest, which has to be forbidden for a reason. On the other hand, being here was a short of safe house. As Merlina said before Daiken didn't dare come into this forest. But that horseman was working for Daiken. Did Daiken get over his fear of this place or was he simply sending a low ranked person after then he could afford to lose? Only time would tell.
Eria seemed to be ok with leaving now. Nether her or Riley seemed to want to rest. Maybe Merlina was being to protective of them. She didn't like the whole spy idea, because if it was true then Daiken would know where they were going. At least for now, they had no idea where the other two stones could be.
" I guess we should get going then. We wouldn't want to be cornered by Daiken or a mass army of heartless. We don't have our wild card out yet. She was joking with that last part. Eria make that joke not too long ago and it seemed to make Riley smile even when he was down. Merlina slowly opened the door and stepped out.

Eira could see that the others were eager to leave. She left it at that, finding it wise to leave too. It was best to go now rather than wait later and be sorry later. She gave a nod at what Riley had said about that. She put her hood back up as Merlina spoke. A slight laugh escaped her then.
"They would regret it if we had to pull out the wild card early."
Where eventually the enemy would discover her identity, Eira was intent on letting them think that she was something creepy or a Grim Reaper for the time being. It gave her a slight advantage in that since not many liked messing with the Grim Reaper if what Riley's and Merlina's reactions to her meant anything.

Riley was lowly giggling at the wild card jokes. " Ya no one better mess with us. There's no telling when we'll draw our game winning card." It seemed they were all ready to go. That was good. The sooner they got the first two stones the quicker they could find the path to the third. This may have not have been his home world, but he knew what it was like to lose it.
He followed Merlina out side. He noticed more of the world was missing. What Merlina said was true, there was not that much time left. Parts of the ground were rising up and disappearing in the air. Whole trees were vanishing into darkness. Most of the dark clouds that came with the horseman seemed to have faded away. That was the only good thing.
Merlina seemed to be lost in thought. She kept looking around her vanishing world. it was as she feared, the dawn of the final days of this world were coming. They didn't have much time on their hands. It wouldn't have been so bad if they only had one stone to find. But they had three, and she only guessed where the first one could be.
Was it worth going on a wild treasure hunt when they had a limited amount of time left? Was it better if she just worked on a transport spell to take them to a different world? The world had been like this for some time. Would defeating Daiken even bring back the world to the way it was? So many questions Merlina asked herself but she seemed to have no answers for them.
Riley slowly tapped her on her shoulder. " Don't worry Merlina. I'm sure it'll all work out in the end. Ren may have destroyed our world but i won't let that happen again. Not while i'm still standing. I haven't giving up hope to change back into a boy for two years, surely a problem with a real solution deserves more hope than mine?"
" I guess when you put it that way it's still worth trying. If we go west we should reach the sleeping cave within an hour. Of course without me and Eria i'm sure you could get there sooner"

It was good to see Riley taking their joking as jokes. The jokes seemed to lighten his mood all the more. Heck, he even jested with them. How there was no telling when they would draw their game winning card. "Yeah, wouldn't want us to win the game too soon! It would be boring for us if we did that!" she giggled.
After that, the three of them headed outside, Eira bringing up the rear. As she stepped outside, Eira took pause at the state of it. She hadn't fully noticed just how in bad of a shape the world had been until she had gotten a better look at it. Parts of the very ground were rising up into the air and fading away! Even whole trees were vanishing into the darkness! "Oh...my..." Eira trailed off, gaping at what was happening around them. Merlina hadn't been kidding when she had said that her world was in danger. How in the universe were they going to save this world from the brink of destruction?
Merlina seemed preoccupied with the view as well. Her world, right before her very eyes, was disappearing bit by bit. Just how much time they had, Eira couldn't be sure but it didn't look like they had much of it. It left a very unpleasant feeling in the pit of her stomach. While Riley tapped on Merlina's shoulder and spoke to her, Eira simply walked over and gazed outwards in silence. Their situation looked pretty grim in her eyes but she kept quiet for the time being. She didn't need to cause Merlina to panic. When Merlina had mentioned them, Eira looked over at Riley and Merlina thoughtfully.
"I'm sure that he could...but if that stone is protected by something, traps or what not, it might be best for all three of us to be present at the time. If just one of us goes in by themselves, something bad might happen to them. Three heads, after all, are better than one or two heads. My father always told me it's better to have more people than just a single person since others might come up with things better together than alone."
