Jason's hands continued drifting across Conrí's body as his desire slowly built up. His confidence in his victory rose as he watched his love's eyes drift closed, only to fade into nothing as they snapped open once more to reveal a light within that proved just how mistaken he was.
When he started feeling the wolf-king's desire in addition to his own was when he finally realized that they were evenly matched. Thankfully he also remembered that, in this case at least, losing could be just as much fun as winning. A moment later he finally gave in, breaking the kiss to pant lightly into his love's ear. "Looks like you won this one, lilulf."
The light in Jen's eyes grew as Fen acquiesced to her suggestion and she began animatedly explaining her idea. "Okay, so what we'll do is simple, effective, and hilarious." She paused for dramatic effect, before finishing with a grin to match her eyes. "We get into Jason's bedroom and put a layer of ice in the bed, thin enough that they can't tell but magic enough to stay frozen until they nullify it."

Conrí shuddered more once he realised his desire and Jason's matched. His lungs were also screaming for more than a short burst of air through his nose at a time. Still, his love's tongue and touches, when mixed with a sheer force of will, was enough to cause him to delay his inevitable failings. For a time. Right as the wolf boy was reaching the end of his rope, Jason moved his lips away and whispered in his ear that the would be king had won this time. "I really do love when you call me that, chuisle." The words came out easily enough, but, as his hand slipped down to the crimson eyed man's rear with a pinch, Conrí found himself biting his lip and looking away from Jason's gaze slightly. However, there was no mistaking the intent through his aura. He knew that, so, seeing that everything was blocked off, the wolf boy sheepishly whispered in Jason's ear, "I want you. Here. Now. Is...that...okay?"
Fen heard Jen's plan, laughed and nodded. He assumed his icy touch form. "Let's get down to business, then, sister." A mischievous grin parted the wolf's lips.

Conrí's reaction to Jason's admission made him flinch just slightly, more out of surprise than anything else. His next actions made him far cuter to Jason -something he didn't realize was possible- and only made his desire grow even more.
By the time his love asked, there was only one answer.
A gentle smile came to his lips as Jason once more used the "incorrect" method of dismissing his armor, relishing the feeling of his skin against Conrí. "Does this answer your question, maður mín?"
Somehow the look in Jen's eyes grew as Fen nodded. Nearly bouncing, she lead the way to the end of the passage, revealing the exit to be the empty room once belonging to Lucia. Just in case she stuck her head around the door frame before hopping out, satisfied that the doors were still shut.
A moment later she was in Jason's room, carefully puling the black comforter and crimson sheet to the end of the bed before beginning to channel Ice magic and carefully coat the fitted sheet. Another moment passed before she paused once more, an idea having occurred to her. "Wait, even better idea."
Focusing on the magic Riley taught her, she manifested several pair of underwear of various types, sizes, and gender expressions onto the bed, including a few lacy pair that she memorized for later use with her husband. Over a dozen pair ended up on the bed before she returned to coating it in crystal clear ice, giggling all the while.

Conrí stared at Jason's body for a minute or two. His eyes lingered at certain areas, such as his pecs and abs. A slow smile spread across his face, and he started to kiss his love's neck after he'd nodded, quick to doff his own clothing, and found himself nearly shuddering and moaning at just the simple sensation of feeling the skin of his lover against his own. He looked at Jason with a hungry, if slightly pleading, look in his eyes. His fingers lightly danced up and down the crimson eyed one's back and chest. His lips were at Jason's ear, and he nibbled there playfully before he sucked in slightly. "I'm yours, mo chuisle mo chroí."
Fen snickered when Jen bounded down the halls. He cautiously looked into a few of the open doors, and stopped suddenly when he noticed Éirí looking at him. She asked him a question. One that wasn't too hard to answer, and then vanished. The wolf shrugged as the real world enclosed around him again, then cursed when he failed to tell her to not look at her brother at the moment. Part of him wondered if the girl pup was okay, but he assumed that she would work it out. She always seemed to, and, besides, Fen could always see about going over to her for a while. As a friend, of course, and not as an actual summon.
The wolf chortled softly when Jen froze underwear she created into the bed. He used his icy touch to freeze the floor as well, knowing a bit too well just how those two could get. "If we're done here, now what, interesting prankster for a human?" He hoped Jen didn't find his nickname for her insulting, but, quite a bit of how she was reminded her of Éirí.

Just as Jen was thinking about how to answer she sensed what could only be Mink, as well as two other people. "Hey, that's Mink, and they've got friends!" With a grin she bolted out the door and back down the passage to the hangar just as Mink came through the door, tackling them with a hug. "Mink! I was worried about you!"
Mink just braced themselves with a sigh and rolled their eyes at the hug. "Wait, what happened around now?" Then they caught sight of the still sparking remnants of the Alyson. "Oh, that. That was two years ago for me, Aunt Jen. I've forgiven myself for that."
Jen's eyes widened and teared up as she hugged them tighter. "I'm so proud of you, Mink! Wait, that means you're 18 now." She let go so suddenly that they instinctively stayed in the air. "You had a party, right?"
Another sigh, this time with an eye roll. "Yes, Aunt Jen. You threw a really big one." Suddenly they giggled and continued with a sincere grin. "No, seriously, it was a blast. I'd tell you, but it'd ruin the surprise."
By that point Rand had cautiously entered the hangar as well, eyeing the sparking machinery with distrust while sizing up the blonde girl before him. Of course, that only made him her next focus. Walking past Mink she planted herself just out of reach of his blade had he drawn it, proving that she had a skilled eye for combat even as she crossed her arms under her chest. "And you're a friend of their's, I assume?"
Rand bowed gracefully before introducing himself, choosing to be humble. "Well met, I am Rand al'Thor, and I-"
Before he could finish Jen's eyes lit up as she recognized him. "By Oðin's eye, you're the Dragon Reborn! I guess that means Lucia's theory was right. Don't worry, I know all about you." In the next instant she turned to the girl holding his hand, looked her over once, and grinned even more as she put her hand on her hip and the other out to shake. "Didn't know Conrí had an actual sis! Nice to meet ya, I'm Jennifer Talec-O'Malley, the Burning Queen of New Yuio and Lucia's older sister."
Behind her back Mink was falling over in midair laughing at the stunned look on Rand's face.

Éirín watched Mink carefully, and she gazed at the machinery as she passed. She felt how excited that Rand was through his aura. She felt her hand start to sweat, but she squeezed her boyfriend's hand tighter. She was blown away by Jen's personality. Enough so that she was shocked into silence a bit, and then a large white wolf walked up to her and nuzzled her forehead. Fen...are they...?
Unfortunately, my more tolerable pup.
Does that mean I can call on you sometime?
Still only for favors, goddessling.
Any idea when they will be done?
Don't think about it too much. You'll have a chance to talk to him sometime after.
The wolf girl patted the wolf's head and scratched behind his right ear. She exhaled and nodded. "To be fair, Jen, neither does he. He thinks I'm dead, honestly, so, he's in for a bit of a shock. We have a lot to discuss, and I was hoping not to catch him in the throes of passion. Sorry, there's a lot going on right now. Éirín Niall, Goddess, Matron Emissary to Avalon, Chosen of Éiriú. Heiress Apparent to the throne of Tir Tairngire. Got nothing in terms of titles when it comes to this one, though."
As the priestess said this, she elbowed Rand in the ribs and winked. A blush came over her face, but, she was able to maintain her smile if nothing else. "What do you know about Castle Oblivion, because that's where we need to get that madra caorach of a brother of mine. Well, that, and, we have a world to save, thanks to one of Rand's...acquaintances. Dragon Reborn or not, he's an arseling." She stuck her tongue out at Rand, wondering for a moment if he would pay her back right then and there.

Jen gave Éirín an odd look as she explained herself, though she was quickly back to laughing as she continued though. She could already tell she was going to like her, even though they had just met. Just as quickly that shifted into a frown as Castle Oblivion was mentioned though. "I've been there before. Not the best place, unless you want to face your worst memories." For an instant her happy facade vanished, revealing the tired, anxious state she was truly as her mind turned to her husband. Then it was gone, both mentally and physically, as she fell back into her mask.
Rand simply blushed at his girlfriend's quip and tease, not comfortable enough with those around them to make good on his promise then and there. The look he gave her clearly said that he meant to later though. Mink just sighed and stepped up before anyone could derail the conversation more. "Okay, so while those two... finish," they rolled their eyes with that word, "Aunt Jen, why don't you and I catch them up on us a bit? That way they only have to explain about Ailill and Tamara once."
Jen nodded, and together they told the pair a very brief history of Celderat and it's people, followed by their various adventures and exploits over the past ten years. Even as brief as it was, it was nearly an hour before they were done.

Éirín watched Jen carefully. She knew she had likely taken things slightly too far when the somewhat obvious mask dropped for an instant. She nearly went over to Jen to hug her, but stopped when she noticed that the moment had passed. Still, her gaze lowered to the floor, and she found herself fidgeting with her fingers. "It's not for myself that I send us into this. Everyone has something they want to forget. My brother...doesn't have memories of how it really was, because the truth was hidden from him. A king cannot be a proper ruler without being broken by the truth first, and, this was the compromise that Lucia gave."
As the wolf girl spoke, she made sure to look Jen in the eye. She even bowed her head in apology slightly when she had finished speaking, though, that did not make her tense up any less when she smiled openly at her boyfriend's blush and then immediately quiver with a nervous anticipation under his gaze. So, he is keeping track. Got it. I just wonder if he's accruing interest to these teases of mine. As she thought this, she felt her own cheeks warm, but forced herself to remain in control.
The priestess sat down on the floor and listened to Mink and Jen. She nodded here and there and listened patiently. It was a fairly complex story, but, it all made enough sense. When they were done, she stretched and produced her Empress deck with a flourish. "While we wait on those two...ruffians...does anyone care for a reading? Sometimes, they can be comforting." She patted Rand's knee and said, "Not you, dear, since we just did one not that long ago." And, not with this deck... That thought alone nearly made her blush.
Éirín wondered what talking to her brother was going to be like. She was worried, and maybe a little hesitant and scared. She didn't want them to get into it, but, she had a sinking suspicion that they might when they went to the castle anyway. "When we get there, is there any chance Ailill might be...not stuck in bad memories, due to his madness, Rand?" She asked this question in a whisper.

Jen nodded excitedly at the mention of readings. "Oh, tarot cards! Lucia's got a deck of those, even though she doesn't really use them all that much." She glanced around for a moment, seeing Rand asking Mink a few questions about what they had just explained before she suddenly hugged Éirín, whispering in her ear. "Don't worry about me sis. I'm dealing, it just takes a while for the pain to fade."
An instant later she was back to her bubbly self and at arm's length again, just in time for the other two to turn back around. Rand was rubbing his head as he attempted to absorb the information, only pausing when he heard Éirín's question. "If we face him without Tamara then there is almost no chance of saving him short of a miracle. With her, he might be able to resist the taint long enough to let us Heal him instead."
Jen perked up at the mention of a miracle. "If it comes to miracles we've done a few ourselves. Especially Lucia. Speaking of, where is she? I'm guessing she went to talk to you, but where'd she go after?" Rand just glanced at Mink, who pulled out the book with a sigh. "Mom's stuck in here with a friend. Hopefully she'll get out before too long."
Jen just nodded as if it were a common occurrence.

Sighing, Éirín slid her deck back into its place. There was no point in trying to read someone who was of two hearts right now. Still, she felt a sympathetic pull to Jen. So, she returned the hug lightly, but as warmly as possible. I regret that I might be forcing you to relive those pains, if you choose to come with us. She let go of Jen and kept her thoughts firmly to herself.
When the wolf girl heard Rand, it was difficult for her to not hang her head. However tired you are right now, girl, the man you and farm boy are trying to help has to be exhausted. Reminding herself of this, she produced her cards again, half-tempted to do a reading on herself. "Jen, sorry, but, do you mind if we wait until after the...tension is lessened in regards to...everything? I already feel bad enough dragging my brother there, and, I'm apparently dragging you all there with me. Before you say it, I'm not like that sheepdog. I will pay for my crimes at the end of this."
The priestess heard her words and sighed. Her head hurt, and she desperately wanted to nap in order to avoid facing it all. This resulted in her just leaning into Rand.

Jen just waved her hand causally at Éirín's request. "Don't worry about it! We've all got things we're dealing with right now, so you take your time. Never took stock in those things anyhow, to be honest. Last time Lucia used them on me she said they said I'd die, and I haven't yet!" Mink winced behind her, but said nothing. As the priestess leaned into Rand Mink actually did speak, though only to address the other half of her statement. "Actually, Aunt Jen probably shouldn't go with you to Castle Oblivion. Her worst memories have shifted by now, and you really don't want to be in that situation." Jen started to protest, then thought about it and nodded sadly. "Yeah, they've got a point." She wondered if Jason's had shifted as well.
Jason rested his head on Conrí's chest as he tried to catch his breath. His head still spun from the past hour, and he wouldn't have it any other way. Dimly he registered that the speakers were playing a different song, though it was fairly quiet so as not to ruin the mood. Lifting his head slightly, he looked up at his love and smiled. "I love you, my heart."Something about the song tickled his memory, but he chose to ignore it for now.

I believe they have finished. Shall I go get them?
Éirín groaned slightly at Fen's words. She looked at Rand and forced herself to smile. "They seem to hsve finished. How are we handling this? Fen has offered to go in, or, I can just smack Conrí over the head." She laughed at this, and then nodded to Fen. The wolf disappeared and then she looked at Jen. "Fair enough, though, I might be the exception to you putting stock into such things or not. But, that's a conversation for another day."
The wolf girl listened carefully and then nodded when Jen finally admitted that she should probably stay away from the castle. She waited for Fen to reply, and, she felt her nerves going through the roof. "Whoever needs to come with us will be with us. I doubt this farmer of an arseling will stay away, even if we tried to keep him tied down." She was certainly making eyes at Rand as she said the insult. She knew she'd likely have to pay for it in private, but, she was hoping to hold onto the good memories she was making now to face her truth.
Conrí held Jason close, and he ran a hand through his hair. He remembered the last few moments, and smiled. He heard the song playing softly and hummed a little with it. He kissed Jason's forehead. "I love you more, mo chroí." He winked at this, and wondered if it would issue another challenge. Still he did a quick change into his clothes, because he felt strong presences nearby, along with Fen.
We have company, pups. Make yourselves presentable and clean the couch. Fen appeared and stared at Conrí.
Okay. The wolf boy groaned and sighed. "My love, it appears duty calls. We have company apparently." He forced himself to move away from his lover. "Let's clean up and let them come in, I suppose. I...have a...feeling about this. Whatever it is, will you face it with me? If you can. If it's not too much to ask."

Jason summoned his clothes only once Fenrir actually became visible, unconcerned with the wolf seeing anything. He did blush at the comment about the couch though, focusing on a form of magic that he wasn't fully familiar with to clean it. A blue glow enveloped the furniture before fading, taking with it any evidence of their previous actions.
"There we go. And of course I'll be with you." Still smiling gently, he offered his hand as the doors rose again, then headed toward the hangar.
Jen giggled before shrugging at Éirín. "Eh, I figure what happens, happens. Thanks to time traveling kids I'm kinda spoiled already though."
Before Mink could wince again Jason appeared at the door, drawing the attention of Jen, Mink, and Rand. Rand immediately knew not to underestimate the man, who's movements clearly showed a long history of training and combat. Already he felt respect for him that he hadn't for Jennifer. No matter what feats she claimed to have accomplished she simply didn't move or act like a fighter.
Still, he was a guest, and he felt it appropriate to bow once more, though Jen once more interrupted him, this time before he could even speak. "Hey, you two are finally done! This is Rand al'Thor, from the Wheel of Time series! Turns out Lucia was right after all. Oh, and there's someone else here too, but I'm gonna let her introduce herself."
Jason looked Rand over, determined that he was close enough to not doubt Jen, then turned to the woman beside him. It was clearly Conrí's sister from the aura and appearance, now in the flesh. "Nice to finally meet you properly, sister." His voice was calm, but his eyes betrayed his caution.

Éirín smirked when Jason entered the room. She tried not to, but it came naturally enough. That was, until she saw Conrí holding his hand. She instinctively rose from the floor and took Rand's hand while nodding at Jen. She was mostly happy no one expected her to explain it all to them right now. Her gaze locked onto Jason's eyes, and her smirk grew a bit. "Romping around with a sheepdog when the world's in danger. How...decadent of you.Though, I'm not the type of goddess to demand my brother's mate be at my beck and call. I'd get into it more, but, spoilers and all that. I assume, though, you'd be willing to continue this game of wits when everything is made a bit clearer, and, handsome, it's not me you need to be cautious of." She winked as she smirked and arched an eyebrow.
"Food for thought, but, your aura and Rand's actually mesh kind of well." A chuckle escaped the wolf girl's throat. She released Rand's hand and steadily moved past Jason, as though he couldn't just lash out right then and there at her and turned her focus on Conrí. "So, madra caorach, since when do you pray to the gods? Also," In a flash, the priestess had swept her brother's legs out from under him. "yes, I'm really here, and still able to kick your arse. You wanted to be on my level, so, this is what you get. It's time for you to come with me to Castle Oblivion, so you can learn the truth of whether or not you are genuinely worthy of Tir Tairngire's restoration."
All of the information washed over Conrí, to the point that he simply curled up and hugged his knees. "Éiri, I thought you were dead. Truth, what truth do I need to know? That it was me who ruined us all?" A dangerous fire was in his eyes.
"My name is that which you called me no longer. I am Éirín Niall. Matron Emissary of Avalon, Chosen of Éiriú and Heiress Apparent to the throne." She said this firmly and coldly. "If you want to claim what you think is yours, brother, then, you will have to face the dark as I did." She pulled him to his feet before he could protest.
"But...how? You're not even supposed to be--"
"Spoilers, for what will soon be revealed. Besides, while you are going through this, we also need to track down someone named Tamara. I'll let my mate Rand tell you about that, though."
Conrí looked from his sister to Rand and back to her. She smiled at him so suggestively, but, he felt a sense of rage build in him. "I don't have to accept this, sister."
"We shall see, brother. Also, Rand has three wives, so, if you're going to exile me...well, technically, you can't yet."
Conrí's eyes nearly popped out of his head, and his mouth set in a firm line. He now glared at Rand with a challenging look in his eyes. Still, he kept the rage in, remembering that he aimed to change his world for the better, and, lashing out about something like this would only enforce the traditions. A heavy sigh echoed in the room. He forced himself to stand and face the red-haired man. "Rand, was it? You'll have to forgive me, but, I've just learned my bloody sister's not dead by my hand. However, once whatever antics she's dragged you into, we shall have to...talk. Lest it end in a duel for her honor. Which, I do not want."
My honor? How...quaint, sheepdog. Éirín and Conrí glared at each other.

Rand very much wanted to turn invisible as the tension between Conrí and Éirín grew to a head. He knew that his wives would come up eventually, but she had been about as tactful as a bull, and with the obvious reaction. He glanced at Mink, who simply sighed and put their palm on their face, then at Jason, who seemed to be... backing up?
Suddenly the reason for his retreat became obvious as Jen walked between the siblings. Her demeanor had changed completely, and for the first time he realized that the silver bracelets on her wrists weren't just jewelry as they expanded into gauntlets with what appeared to be tiny versions of Mat's dragons. He knew much better than to underestimate her ever again.
The air around Jen grew warm as she watched the two bicker, until she finally had enough. The flames in her eyes mirrored the opal on her neck as a wave of heat created a small shockwave between the two. "Enough."
She turned to Conrí first, pointing her finger at him angrily. "You just discovered that your sister is actually alive, and you're judging and threatening her? Not to mention, what is wrong with more than two people in a relationship?" She then rounded on Éirín with the same finger. "And you. You knew full well that he thought you were dead, and your first reaction is to attack and taunt him? Youshould be apologizing!"
She stepped back slightly to see both at once as wisps of light danced on her shoulders as if flames. "What is wrong with you two? You're family! If you want to fight someone that badly then fight me, cause if you try to start something I will finish it." The light surrounding her began to take on an orange color.

Éirín broke her glare with Conrí and turned to face Jen. The woman's literal raging inferno of an aura caused her to feel a pinprick of regret. Her gaze went to Rand, who just kind of stood there, but, she could see the swirling of his aura. Despite this, she really felt rather unapologetic on the whole of things. She didn't ask to be pitted against her brother so much that the sibling rivalry became second nature, and she certainly wasn't going to apologise to a person, sibling or not, that she barely knew. It isn't my fate to get along with him. It never has been. Nor is it meant to be right now. It is my job to make sure he makes it to Tir Tairngire alive and knowing what he should do.
The wolf girl kept her thoughts to herself, though the fire in her eyes was still there. She kept her back straight and walked past Jen, keeping her eyes straight ahead and placing herself next to Rand. Silence seemed to be her best option, since she refused to apologise, and couldn't think beyond her rage for the moment.
Conrí, on the other hand, looked at Jason and then Jen, and hung his head. It hurt him to know he'd screwed up at the end. As for the threatening and judging, he knew there was a bit of a miscommunication there. "Jen," he said calmly and quietly, not wanting to escalate the situation further, "When I said that I didn't have to accept anything from her, I did not mean that against her, but, her actions. Knocking me on me arse is just what she did for as long as I knew her. As with dancing a jig around the details, and, for once, after years of being apart, I want her to be blunt with me. That was not a judgement of a king, because, until I am seated on that throne with the crown on my head, I am not a king, according to our customs."
The wolf boy closed his eyes and took a breath, remembering everything Jason had told him about how different things were between their worlds. "As for the 'problem' with more than two people in a relationship, it was a misstep into an old way of thinking that has recently been challenged and is being corrected. For that, I am sorry, Jen. Truly, dreifiúr, I apologise and seek your forgiveness for drudging up your recent losses and the pain again."
His gaze flicked from Jen to Éirín for a moment. The would be king stared at her and then spoke again. "I would not exile you sister. For one, loving who I do, how could I pass that judgement on you but not also on myself? For two, what good would it do to exile you when I'm trying to change Tir Tairngire for the better?" Conrí thought of walking over to his sister, but stopped himself. "Jen, I also ask that you do not hold this argument against her. This is her way, at least, with me, and, things take time. We didn't grow into this overnight, and, we can't mend it in one meeting, either. I'm sure whatever she wants to show me at the castle will reveal it for her, and, maybe then, you'll understand us a bit better."
"I do not need you to speak for me, madra caorach. However, yes, what he says is true. It is easier explained at the castle. But, Jen, since you won't be going, I can tell you this much. Sometimes, memories are hidden under a lot of things. Such is the case for him. He needs to face the truth before any mending can begin. Secondly, while he is my brother, we only spent the first few years of our lives together before going our separate ways. So, time is needed." The priestess made sure to keep her voice level and somewhat remorseful. It was as close to an apology that she could muster toward Conrí. She did walk up to Jen and whisper an apology in her ear, however, and hoped that would be enough before walking back to Rand.
"So, Rand, who is this Tamara, and what is it about her that's so important?" Conrí folded his arms over his chest, still uncertain of what was going on.

Jen listened to what they both had to say as she literally smoldered, though the heat lessened as they went. Jason returned to his love's side and placed his hand on his shoulder gently, and Rand moved his to touch Éirín's hand before the Burning Queen spoke again. Her voice was still level and flat, but the fire had returned to embers. "Tank you for the clarification and apology, Conrí. I'm sorry that I took it the wrong way."
She then turned to Éirín. "As for you, what you say makes sense, though only to a certain extent. If you don't know the man Conrí has become, then don't treat him like he's still the boy you remember. And I've decided that I'm going as well, good idea or not."
Nodding to herself, she returned the Aura Celica to their bracelet forms before nodding to Rand. Sighing, he finally began to explain. "You have to understand hot the Second Age of my world ended for context..." As quickly as he could he explained the basics of channeling, the Source, the Dark One, the Breaking, and the taint.
Once that was done he actually got to the proper explanation. "So, Ailill is mad due to the taint, and searching for his wife. I assumed she would be dead some three thousand years, but Mink informed me that she is both alive and searching for him. If we can get past her plants and convince her we want to help, then she shouldn't hurt us. At that point we should be able to get close enough to Ailill to Heal the taint induced madness and give him his mind back, thus preventing the destruction of Avalon."
Over the course of the explanation Jen had calmed down enough to return to her usual state, and she promptly spoke up after he was done. "So, this taint is basically some kinds of magic darkness thing that sits in someone's brain and makes it go haywire, right?"
"More or less."
"Then, couldn't I just hit it with a Holy Curaga and get rid of the darkness that way? Seems a lot faster."
Rand didn't know what to say.

Éirín arched an eyebrow and just decided to listen to everything that Rand had to say while she thought about what Jen said to her. For the moment, the woman made her question a few things, and, she chalked up Jen's sudden certainty about going as to what just happened. She took Rand's hand the moment it touched hers and smiled--barely--when Conrí leaned his head on Jason's hand. The wolf girl otherwise tapped her foot while she waited. Jen thinks quickly on her feet, I'll give her that, but...
"Things have an order to them, Jen!" Éirín and Conrí exchanged a knowing look and a wink, before laughing a little to each other, though, it was clear that they were both shocked they'd managed to sync up again after so long.
"Like cooking!"
The priestess cocked her head at her brother's reasoning and then shrugged. "Or the temporal ordering of the universe and the way things need to be." Again, the castle flashed in the form of the Tower in her head, forcing Éirín to touch her forehead and shake herself a bit.
"And, something tells me, this isn't something we can afford to mess up." The siblings looked at each other again and shrugged.
"For Avalon!"
"For Tir Tairngire!"
Conrí took Jason's hand and began leading him toward the Alison. Éirín, the instant that she saw her brother move, started pulling Rand as she followed her brother. "Nobody bleeding messes with my island and gets away with it. Let's go kick some arse!" A jolt passed through the siblings as they high fived. Fen seemed to nod at them and padded along behind Rand.
Both of them looked at Jen and asked, "So, are you coming or not, dreifiúr?"

Jen looked at the pair who had just been glaring at each other, now suddenly acting as if they were the best of friends, and sighed with a shrug. She figured that something like that might happen if she threatened them, but for it to happen when she actually had a decent suggestion...
Jason just laughed, and even Mink giggled a little.
Rand put aside the sudden shift in his girlfriend, choosing to instead focus on the suggestion itself. "Not only are they both right, you're plan might end up doing more harm than you realize. The taint is technically a Compulsion weave applied directly to the brain, and removing one without being delicate and having patience could kill him, or even leave him completely without a personality."
Jen just sighed again before abruptly giggling. "Well, it's the old fashioned way then I guess! So, I know you all want to head out right away, but I think we should stay here for at least one night first. That way we're all fresh, and we'll have some time to talk about what to expect."

"Don't get too used to this, sibling. It's just until we know we've done our duty."
Éirín laughed. "Typical, madra caorach."
"I'm not a bloody sheepdog, Éiri--ín." Conrí said this, careful to get her name right, which granted him a smirk.
"Show me you can be on my level, and, we'll see, but, since you got the name right, I might as well tell you that there's a possibility that Jen iced your bed." She smirked and winked at Jason. "Usually, I hate spoilers, but, if she really thinks you can threaten me like that in a near abusive way and get away with it, then, she's wrong. As for what to expect, Lucia already told me a bit."
Conrí turned on Jen, and noticed that Fen hung his head as well. "You, too, Fen?! Why the hell would you guys do that?" He tsked his tongue and his stomach rumbled. "Jay, dear, do we still have cottage pie? Or beef stew? Should we get cooking, or should we go sort out our bed, since there seem to be a couple of páistí in our midst?" He glared at Jen and Fen.
Éirín both paled and teared up when her brother mentioned beef stew. "I'm good when it comes to beef stew. Rand here force fed me an entire bowl. He...took control of me and it was dreadful." As she let this information slip, she hid a smile behind her hand as she watched her brother's face contort.
The wolf boy walked up to Rand, his back rigid and his eyes full of a cool fire. "Two rules, lad. One, no one bleedin' hurts Fen and Éirín. Two, only I can pick on her. Explain. Now." He didn't realise that his ears were now furry and black, and he had a tail of black as well. If he weren't careful, he'd transform right then.
The priestess's eyes widened when she saw her brother. "You...aren't going completely mad? Wait. Rand did it to make sure I didn't starve. Please..."
Conrí sighed and shook himself. "Of course that's what happened. You always leap before you look."
"Yeah, well, at least I'm not some dense sheepdog."
"Come on Jay, let's go cook. I don't deal with pups."
Éirín just stared at her brother, eyes clearly speaking volumes of her rage. Fen started to chortle, until she turned in his direction. "Is hea?"
"Bhuel, just because we're staying under the same roof for tonight doesn't mean we hafta like it!" The siblings stuck their tongues out at each other. "We'll settle this at the castle tomorrow, then!"
Conrí pulled Jason toward the kitchen, and Éirín wearily leaned against Rand. Her own stomach rumbled, but she chose to ignore it. Let the stubborn farm boy pass his judgement later. That was fine. She looked at Jen and simply whispered, "May I please just go lay down for a while? We can talk over dinner, if that suits ya." The wolf girl looked at Rand. In an even quieter voice, she asked, "Is he allowed to stay with me? I understand if you say no. I'll sleep on the floor if need be."
