Jason smiled as as he nodded and followed Conrí back to the table, setting down his two bowls in front of Jen and Mink. The two seemed to be talking using Jen's Telepathy, making him curious as to the topic, but not curious enough to delay sitting before his own bowl and turning to face his love as he squeezed his hand. "That it is, lilulf."
Mink rolled their eyes at their uncle's warning as they finished catching Jen up, who seemed to be keeping a straight face remarkably well given the context. Their voice was calm however, though there was still a hint of that teenage sass to it. "I'm eighteen now, Uncle, and I've learned quite a bit in these two years. You cope with the stress however you want to cope." They finished their seconds in seconds before continuing. "As for me, I'll cope by fixing the ship so Aura isn't stuck here anymore." With that, they thanked Conrí and Jason for the meal before heading back into the hangar.
Jen watched them go before sighing, processing everything that Mink had shared with her. She had suspected that something bad had happened, but that... She shook her head before turning back to the lovebirds with a soft smile. "So, if this is going to happen after the castle and finding this dude's wife, we need to plan now. I think I can call in some favors with the Restoration Committee if you want to have it at the castle. There aren't any forests on this world, unfortunately."
Rand held Éirín close and tried to comfort her as best he could, at least until she raced back to her clothes. He had been unconcerned with her state of dress honestly, but she clearly had not. Or so he thought, but her offer to "make herself decent" proved otherwise yet again.
He was confused, but saved from having to say anything by the voice coming from the speakers. "The bath is directly at the end of the hall opposite the living area, Éirín. If you desire privacy I can seal the door behind you, and there is a paper on the wall of this room that describes a spell to create clothing if you dislike Lucia's clothing in the dresser in this room."
Rand glanced at what he had thought was a painting with interest, realizing as he looked closer that the lines did indeed create a weave of sorts, though with this world's magic instead of the Five Powers. Experimentally, he tries to replicate it, using his intuition and sight to fashion the weave, and was rewarded with a full set of undergarments and clothes, complete with a red silk coat of Andoran design with thread-of-gold dragons on the sleeves to match the ones on his arms and brown silk pants. "I'll never need a seamstress again..." His tone held equal parts awe and wistfulness.

Conrí stared as Mink walked off, and found his gaze lingering down the hall. He was tempted to ask Jen what had happened between her and Mink, but, from the way she bounced back into the wedding plans with full force, the wolf boy doubted he'd get the chance to get a straight answer from her.
When the would be king heard that Jen might be able to call in a favor to have the event happen at the castle, he nodded solemnly. "That will work. Honestly, I'd rather be wed in Tir Tairngire, but...well, we don't know for sure if anything at Castle Oblivion will bring it back. However, so you both are well aware, we will likely have to go through a second ceremony there, just so my people won't try to delegitimise us."
Conrí winced and looked at Jason, realising what he'd just said. "My apologies. I don't mean to make a spectacle of us, but, it's the way of my people. They would doubt it until they saw proof. Wedding in front of them as well, especially if my deities were involved would stop any battles for my throne before they could start."
The wolf boy sighed. "Anyway, now that the venue is settled, at least for me, as long as it's okay with Jay, too, that is. Jen, how do you feel about kilts? I want to have one made for myself. To my specific details. The tartan of Tir Tairngire is usually handmade, because of its symbolism. Jay, honey, it is the custom for two being wed to come under the tartan of higher status, but...for this ceremony, if you want to skip that part, it can be arranged. However, I will ask that you honor the tradition when we get to Tir Tairngire."
The wolf boy took a breath. "I'm sorry, my heart. I seem to be talking at length about my wants, but, it is your day, too, so, please, tell us what you want. Please, don't tell us you'll just go along with it, because I don't want you to regret a thing about that day. And, I know we both value the importance of life beyond that day, but, with all the shite we're about to face, I think a huge party would be justified."
Éirín nearly jumped out of her skin when the speakers started to make noise. Her eyes went wide for a moment, and then she relaxed, not realising that she dropped her robe in the moment of surprise. She seemed to recover a bit of her confidence, too, once the pain of the memories and the fear of facing them vanished. She also studied the paper, as Rand had. "Remembering...that time...makes me self conscious about my body. Again, the bastard never touched me, but...it still took its toll." She kept her voice low before nodding and visualising the clothes she wanted to wear.
The wolf girl was unsurprised when a fluffy bathrobe and slippers appeared on her. She couldn't help but laugh at Rand's amasement at not needing a seamstress anymore. His choice in clothing also amused her, but, she held her tongue for once. She could tell that they were clothes from his world. "I bet you'd look ravishing in that." Her heart began to race a little as she realised what she said.
Might as well make it worse. The priestess smirked slightly, and she licked her lips, taking Rand's hand in hers. "I never said I wanted to bathe alone, mo bhuachaill aisling." Before he could protest, she started to walk toward the hall, but told the computer to seal the door when they got to the bath. She made sure Rand still held onto his clothes, and left her slippers outside of the bathroom's door.
Steam blew Éirín's hair back slightly when she opened the door. The ornateness of the room made her gasp. It reminded her of the baths in priestess training. She was careful with her robe and left it in a cubby. She took Rand's new clothes from him and placed them in a cubby next to hers. She looked at her love and blushed for a moment before stripping out of her underclothes.
"There's one rule," She said this and pointed to the showers along the wall. "We wash each other at those first." The wolf girl winked and grabbed two buckets, washcloths, and soaps before heading over to the showers. "Shall I wash your back, my love?" The heat from the steam hid her blush. She hoped. Thank Éiriú that the computer likes me and sealed the door. I don't know what I would do if someone walked in on us.

Jason shook his head at his love's wince, giving him a soft kiss on the cheek. "I'll marry you as many times as you want, maður mín." He meant it too, though it did make him wish his mother could have been there to see it.
Jen cooed a little over them before Conrí's question lit up her eyes again. "Ooh, kilts! Do you have a sample of that tartan, and would it be cheating if I make it using magic? I can make the fabric on it's own if you want to make the kilt yourself, and I could teach you the spell if that'll help."
Jason could only laugh, both at that and Conrí's worries. "It's okay, elskan. Celderatians usually have handfastings rather than weddings, though they amount to the same thing usually. I can explain if the concept is unfamiliar, but we're definitely having a huge party. It just wouldn't be right otherwise."
Rand understood at least a little of what Éirín was feeling, though in no way could he know all of it. What he did know was that he wasted to help her in any way he could. Of course, that became harder when he looked at the clothes she had made in confusion and all serious thought left him. It seemed that he had quite a bit to learn about the world outside his own yet.
His face turned crimson at her tease, though he certainly didn't resist as she lead him down the hall and into the bath. The room seemed to be taken from a palace rather than the simple -if advanced- home he had seen thus far, elaborate tiles mosaics depicting a landscape surprisingly similar to Shienar.
Oddly enough, his blush seemed to ease as they both stripped. Perhaps it was the resemblance to the Borderlands and their mixed baths, or maybe it was that he was more comfortable bare than in smallclothes. Either way, he smiled at Éirín as he sat at a shower. "Only if I can wash yours after, my light."

Conrí blushed a little when Jason kissed him in front of Jen, but he composed himself quickly. He looked at Jen and nodded a bit before he pulled out a scrap of cloth from his pocket. "I keep this with me at all times. It's part of me mam's sash from her wedding. This is the best I can do. Technically, magic would be cheating, but...if you want to see if you can work with this so that it can be like mam's there, I can make an exception. As for learning the spell, I suppose I should."
The wolf boy laughed and then looked at Jason. His air turned from joyful to completely serious. "Ah, so, we're to cut open our palms and mingle oue blood while our hands are bound by a red cord. I didn't know that other's followed a tradition like ours." As he finished what he was saying, he decided to kiss Jason. Not too hard, but, passionate enough.
The would be king cleared her throat, and, he smiled. "So, food ideas?" He suddenly wanted to do a cake tasting right then. "Cake sounds so good right now."
Éirín looked over at Rand, keeping her gaze locked on his face as he sat down next to her. She felt her blush deepen quite a bit, but, she made herself turn on hot water and fill her bucket. She knew the showerhead could move, but, habit overtook her. She dipped a washcloth into the bucket and squeezed out the excess water before beginning to run it along Rand's back from side to side. She breathed in his scent, and resisted the urge to kiss his back before she moved onto the soap. "Priestesses in training would take baths like this. Trainees would wash sisters backs."
The wolf girl quickly dipped the soap into the bucket and began to lather the soap on Rand's back by pushing and pulling the bar vertically along his back. She breathed almost in sync with her actions. "It is custom there. However, it is said that when a priestess washes the back of someone she truly loves, then, it is kind of like...an oath of intention." At this, her blush could likely be felt by the man at this point.
When she finished with the soap, the priestess picked up the washcloth again and meticulously made sure the lather was gone. "It's been two days, and, I know this, but, with us, time...doesn't really matter. I suppose it's the same for Conrí and Jay now, and..."
She stopped talking for a second, before grabbing the showerhead and moving it away from them so that the water could get hot. She then rinsed the back of the man she loved. "Wh...what my intention is...if you would have me...is...marriage." Éirín finished with the showerhead, so she put it back in its place. She let her words hang in the air for a moment.
"If you don't want to think about that right now, I understand. It...might be nice to...be married after I marry my brother, if I can complete my training, and if Éiriú will appear and perform our rites. In any case, shall I wash the rest of you, or, would you prefer to wash me now?" Her heart raced in her chest, and the room seemed to spin.

Jason grimaced slightly at Conrí's description, though he technically wasn't wrong. Um, that's how it used to be done. On Celderat the blood part was left out about two centuries ago, and the cord is usually woven from two strands that match the Elements of the pair getting joined. I don't mind doing it the old way if you want though; it's just painful."
Meanwhile Jen took the piece of fabric gently, looking it over from all angles and lightly rubbing her fingers over it. "Hmm... Tightly woven wool in this kind of pattern? Shouldn't be too hard..." Focusing, she tapped into the spell that Riley had taught her and the fabric she was holding.
Nothing happened for a moment, but then Light flowed out of her hands in a complex pattern, quickly creating a large square of cloth that matched the original perfectly, only a foot across rather than a scrap. "There's a sample. Is the patters right? It was hard to tell from that piece, but I tried to mimic it as best I could."
Jason looked between the two, then back at his love with a smile. "If this matches well enough, then we can move on to cakes. Lucia's actually the best at those, given her maternal grandmother was a Fire Clan baker. No Jen," he pointed a finger at her as she was about to speak, "the last time you baked unsupervised it became a Heartless somehow. We were cleaning up the Marketplace for a week after that."
Jen closed her mouth and blushed lightly.
Rand refrained from pointing out that this was the second oath of intention she had done in as many days. He felt that it didn't matter enough to merit the words, and certainly not enough to ruin the mood. His thoughts raced as she spoke, almost to the point of panic but just this side of that edge, and his heart pounding nearly drowned her words out. He was nervous, no doubt about it.
When Éirín finally finished, both with words and water, he hesitated for a moment as his heart and mind warred. Between his enemies and his supposed death after everything was settled, he had yet to actually have any formal ceremony done with any of the others, despite what he called and considered them.
A moment later he decided, standing and facing the priestess...
And embraced her gently.
"I would be honored, Éirín, but on one condition. If we ever find our way back to my world or find the others, we'll have to do it again for them. Technically you'll be the first to wed me in this life, no matter how I refer to them." He chuckled nervously at the thought of them not being offered that at the first opportunity, then turned his attention back to his... he supposed fianceé now, with a growing grin. "As for the washing, I believe it can wait for a while. After all, I do seem to recall you calling me an arseling five times, and there's still three tongues to deal with. Of course," he pulled back just enough to look her in the eyes, "That's only if you are comfortable with that right now. I never want to push you into anything, for any reason, other that possibly saving your life."

Conrí flashed a smile that was a bit more savage when Jason said he was fine with doing the handfasting the old way. "I want the Tir Tairngirian ceremony to be as accurate to my customs as possible, so, we can reserve your old ways for then, just so it needs to be felt once. I didn't know you were so squeamish--you're starting to remind me of the party boys from my time with the druids." After he said this, he stuck his tongue out at his lover with a wink. "Which element would I be, dear? I...have an affinity for Fire, and...well, more Light based things, as you know. I just don't want the Light to affect you if it will."
As Jen studied the sample, the wolf boy watched. He felt his breath catch in his throat, and then felt tears well up in his eyes. He hadn't seen a Tir Tairngirian kilt in so long, and, this one had something of his mam's in it. He walked over to Jen and hugged her tightly. "Thank you, mo dheirfiúr. This is exactly right, and, this one is even more precious, because it has what's left of my mam in it. Jay...do you want to wear it? Neither of us has...parents...so...if it would mean more to you to wear this one, that's fine with me." He wiped his eyes and released Jen. "Can you make a second one, please."
The would be king returned to his seat next to Jay. He laughed when his love mentioned what happened when Jen was allowed to bake unsupervised. "Well, Jen does put a lot of heart into whatever she does, so...maybe that's how?" He winked and snickered. "If Lucia would like to bake the cake, I would be honored. What...what flavour?"
Conrí tapped a finger on the table, thinking."What about the reception? Do we want alcohol there or not? I'm not...the best at planning parties. Maybe you'll have to teach me, Jason." Another wink.
Éirín flinched when she felt how much Rand's aura was swirling. She felt her breath quicken, trying to keep up with her heart rate. She memorised Rand's back, hoping this wouldn't be the last time she saw him. She supposed it could go either way, and the anticipation was nearly making her swoon.
When he stood, the wolf girl slid back ever so slightly. She flinched more noticeably as his arms lightly surrounded her. His skin felt good against hers, and she felt herself relax, even if she blushed at the thoughts that were filling her head. She wrapped her arms around him in return, happy her heart rate slowed down.
The priestess gasped when she heard what Rand said. She instinctively pulled him closer. Again, the closeness sent a jolt through her, causing her breath to quicken again. When she heard his condition, a battle took place in her brain. "Rand...I am fine with that condition, but...the monster in my head...is saying that I don't have the right to be your first official wife...but, if you would be honored, then so would I." She bit her lip.
Éirín's eyes gleamed with desire, and she felt a moan vibrate in her throat, despite what she had just said. She smiled, though, and there was an edge of a suggestive smirk near the corner of her mouth. "Are farm boys just as bad as soldiers? You kiss me more than twice and hug me like this, and now, you're looking for a way to be all over me?" After her tease, she brought her lips close to his and opened her mouth slightly. Getting lost in his eyes like this made her forget about her surroundings or the passing of time. "Well, some priestesses can be as bad as eager farm boys, mo gheallta." She pressed herself a little closer to the man she loved, so that her slightly open mouth brushed against his lips.

Jason's smile grew to a grin as he shook his head. "I'm anything but squeamish, lilulf. I just don't want to bleed if I don't have to is all. There are other ways to become fluid bonded, after all." He ended with a wink before giving his love's next question some thought. "Hmm... Fire and Light would put you in the same category as Jen, actually, and she doesn't affect me unless she's pissed off."
"Hey!"
"Jen, you literally set things on fire by being near them when you're mad."
"Eh, fair point." She shrugged just before Conrí hugged her, which caused her to nearly drop the piece of fabric. All she actually did was hug him back and smile, though once he released her she spoke as well. "This isn't enough to wear just yet, Conrí. Here, let me actually make two kilts to fit you."
This time she closed her eyes, and the cloth turned to Light once more. That Light shifted into a ball before growing considerably, then suddenly split into two, fading away to reveal identical kilts that floated to the table. "There. I divided the original piece equally, so both should have about half of that scrap in them, though where I can't say."
Jason took the kilt gently before folding it as best he could and giving Conrí a gentle kiss. "Whatever flavour she makes, it'll be the best you've ever had. Back on the topic of the cords, technically you'd be both orange and white. I wish we had a pair of Soul Cords, but they have to be woven from a specific kind of vine only found on Celderat."
Rand couldn't help but chuckle as he replied to Éirín initial comment. "If it helps the monster to stay quiet, you are technically the second if I include my life as Lews Therin. And i hope to silence that monster once and for all at some point, though I can understand it not happening just yet."
His thoughts ground to a halt when her lips brushed against his and he felt her body press against him. All he wanted was to give in to the temptation before him, and for once that was exactly what he did. "I've been a soldier a lot longer than a farm boy, raya mashio'vin." His lips closed the divide to hers, kissing her with all the passion and devotion he felt for her while he held her even tighter, paying little mind to certain parts for the moment.

Conrí laughed a little at Jason's quips before firing back without missing a beat, "Oh, haven't we done that enough, or, do you really need another demonstration when we're getting ready for bed?" He returned his love's wink and listened to what Jason said. He laughed harder at Jen's reaction.
The wolf boy nearly fell out of his chair to his knees when he saw the full kilt, and, was weeping when Jen explained that she had separated his mam's cloth into each kilt. He tried to regain himself, but found himself unable to do anything but hold Jay's hand and smile through the tears at Jen for a moment. He forced himself to take a breath.
Once the would be king had calmed down, he nodded carefully as Jay mentioned about Soul Cords. "Where there's a will, there is a way, and, we might just be able to find one of those vines yet. What do Soul Cords do? And, you never answered which flavour of cake is your favourite, or, that you'd like to eat, dear."
As Conrí finished saying this, he kissed Jay gently. It was nice to be able to talk about stuff like this in the face of despair.
Éirín lowered her gaze to her feet as Rand spoke. She bit her lip, and then forced herself to look at him. She nodded, and smiled a little. "Even if I can only admit this to you, thank you, my heart. I can't wait for that day to come, but, I know it will be a process. Are you certain you're okay with that?" It was an earnest question. Her gaze locked with his eyes.
The wolf girl chuckled in amusement as she watched the coherence leave Rand's eyes. It seemed that her charms had worked, because Rand was soon responding to her quip with a fact she knew she couldn't argue. She shivered at his touch, especially as she was pulled closer into a kiss that made her cease thought in and of itself.
The priestess felt herself nearly go limp in the man's arms as the kiss continued and overwhelmed her senses. Through his aura, she felt the passion and dedication that he had to her, which made her tear up. Despite tearing up, she whimpered and moaned, and she was certain her eyes reflected her true desires as she looked at Rand's eyes and gently held him tighter as well.
Éirín broke the kiss with a sharp gasp for breath. Her legs felt shaky, but, she didn't release Rand from her grip. "So, that's one less tongue to make up for, I take it, and, that leaves...another two. I think I've a pretty good idea where this is going, naughty soldier boy." She smirked and then offered Rand her tongue, not by sticking it out at him, but, by sliding it across his lips. "Rand...I...It's still scary for me to say, sort of, but...I love you, and, impress me outside of a dream, farm boy." As she said this, she felt her entire body start to blush. "But, I suppose I'll need to wash you're back all over again. Troublesome farm boy," as she said this, she winked at her love.

Jason blushed at Conrí's comeback, though he thankfully had time to recover from it as his love saw the kilts. He found himself getting emotional simply because he knew how much it meant to the wolf king, but all he could do was squeeze his hand and smile at him.
Once everyone had calmed down again he listened to Conrí's response, though it was Jen that answered the first part. "Soul Cords are mainly just a ceremonial tool for handfastings, since they adopt the colors appropriate for the individuals. Their primary purpose was for testing newborns' Elemental Affinities, which had the bonus effect of being able to predict the gender of the child without looking at physical traits. Given that a child's Affinity is that of the opposing gender parent, we virtually eliminated the need to labels like trans within a century of creating them."
Jason gave her an odd look, to which she shrugged. "What? I am the one that was going for a Masters degree."
"Yeah, in Urban Architecture and Layout."
"Electives are a think you know, and I had a personal interest in learning about that sort of thing. Especially since the Soul Cord they used on Lucia exploded."
Jason didn't have a reply for that, so instead he turned back to Conrí to address the second part of his question. "As for what flavour cake I'd like, since you aren't an option I suppose I'll go with a white chocolate with raspberry filling."
Rand smiled softly at Éirín as she broke the kiss. "There's not a lot that I'm certain of right now, to be honest. But one of the few things I am sure of is that I want to be by your side, no matter what." His tone was earnest, though the panting ruined the effect somewhat.
Thought abandoned him for a moment as he felt her tongue slide across his lips, only returning once she finished speaking again. At that point his smile grew, though it was still gentle, and he held her tighter before lowering himself to the floor. Dimly he marveled at the fact that the tile was heated, but all of his attention rested with the woman in his arms. "You want me to impress you? Very well then."

Conrí sighed when the two started going back and forth, though, he grinned a bit at their antics. He quickly felt himself blushing, though, when Jason made his quip. Thinking quickly, he decided to fire back, "Well, if you want me to pop out of the cake, all you had to do was ask. Maybe some would even end up where you're meaning, though, I think the point of a reception is to not scare away the guests." He put his arm around Jason's shoulders. The wolf boy thought for a moment. "Do you think we could make a tier of the cake be chocolate, since that's my favourite?" He felt his mouth start to water at the thought of this cake. But, he soon turned his attention to the Soul Cords and what had been said about them. "They sound useful, but...um...given I'm not bound by one element, will mine explode? If we can make them, of course." The would be king suddenly worried about Lucia. Where had Mink put that book, and, when could his Master finally be free from it?
Éirín nodded when Rand spoke. She didn't care that he was short of breath. He wanted to be with her, and that was that. She repeated that thought louder in her head to make the growling in her head subside. She watched in amusement again, but, the feeling was cut short when the computer started to play a song. The wolf girl gasped a little when Rand lowered them down to the floor. The song was definitely something that made her eyes flash with a dangerous defiance, and she started to sing what she could make of the chorus to Rand. She stopped short of calling him a name and sticking out her tongue again, but, it took a great deal of effort on her part. To the point that the priestess stopped singing and bit her lip. She did jokingly make a robe with way too many buttons sealing it closed appear over her body. She offered him her tongue once more, sort of. quickly removing it from his lips with a teasing wink. "Better get to work with those hands of yours, then." The song was making her blush furiously, but, she was at least having fun with the situation.

Jason laughed at the image of Conrí popping out of a big cake for a minute before settling down enough to talk again. "Nah, I wouldn't want to waste the cake by doing that. I've got no problem with making the middle tier chocolate either. Maybe the top could be marbled too, so it's got some of both in it."
While he was musing about that Jen shook her head and answered Conrí's other question, slipping into teacher mode once more. "You shouldn't have any issues with them actually. Lucia's a very special case, as we discovered when we returned to Celderat that first time. Turns out, Duality runs in families and isn't nearly as uncommon as we were lead to believe."
Her voice grew harder as she continued. "Most of the children who were born with both Elements active were killed during 'life-saving procedures' since they didn't fit into the system neatly, and the ones like me with a dormant Element usually never awaken it. Lucia was left alone because she's an Opposing Element Duality, meaning the Elements within her shouldn't be able to be stored in the same person. Somehow she managed to be the only one to survive, and thanks to a monk from another world actually learned to combine them into Twilight. The Council had no choice but to declare her a member, since at that point she had become the only Celderatian to control Twilight, but I'm pretty sure they wanted her dead."
Jason grew somber as she mentioned all of that, choosing not to elaborate on what else they had found in those ruins. Some things were best left unsaid, after all. "Yet another reason why I wanted to kill the Eldest. But," he looked over at his love again and squeezed his hand gently, "that should have answered your question at least."
Rand's smile turned to a bemused smirk as what he believed was music filled the room, the lyrics oddly appropriate for their actions. Éirín seemed to think so as well, seeing as she took the opportunity to tease him with a robe closed by an absurd amount of buttons. Seeing that only made his smirk grow however, before he channeled a minuscule amount of Air into a blade so thin it was practically invisible. He quickly skated the weave just above her skin, following the contours of her body until the cloth fell of of her. "Who said I need my hands?"

Conrí sucked in a breath. He didn't like what all Lucia had gone through, but he supposed it was better he knew this kind of thing. Knowing that made him want to find the book more, though, and he tapped his fingers on the table again nervously. "That's...terrible. That sounds like something my people would do right now, and, that isn't right." He shook his head and sighed.
The wolf boy tried to retain his focus on the wedding, but, it was difficult to do. "Any ideas for the reception, either of ye?"
Éirín shivered from the sudden change in the air. She tsked her tongue and raised her hands over her head. "Technically, I did, my fiance." She felt her tongue nearly trip over that last word. But, she still made sure her gaze held Rand's. "Still not seeing much out of you, dear. You cheated and used some air to cut away my clothes. Expertly, but, still cheating. Do I need to tell my brother you're a cheater?"
The wolf girl smirked, then decided to just stick her tongue in her love's mouth. She wasn't necessarily in a patient mood at the moment. She pushed out her aura, and hoped that Rand would piece together her desires and act on them.

Jen made a face once she realized how much she had brought the mood down with that. "Sorry... I guess a simpler explanation would have worked just as well. Hey," she looked over at Jason with her head tilted, "where's that book sis is stuck in?"Jason shrugged. "Last I saw Mink had it with them. Something about keeping it away from the others till they got out." He turned his attention back to Conrí with a grin as he considered the possibilities. "To be honest, I've never planned a wedding before. I've been to a few, but not exactly as an invited guest, other than the double weddings of Jen and Lucia. I'm open to suggestions, honestly."Jen just giggled.
Hard rock blared from the speakers as Mink welded a few gummi blocks together near the cockpit of the soon-to-be new model of the Alyson. Their hoodie was still tied about their waist, though thick welding gloves and goggles protected them from both glare and sparks. The book in question was propped up in a corner opposite the doors, far enough away to be protected. That proved to be a blessing, since a swirling portal appeared before it, through which Lucia emerged and promptly stumbled as she readjusted to her proper body. "Whew, I'm glad to be myself again..."Mink stopped welding and lifted the goggles to look at their mother with mild interest. "Hey Mom, have fun with the Freaky Friday book?"Lucia just laughed and hugged her child, glad to be back.
When Éirín kissed him Rand shut his eyes at the feeling. By then the song had ended, though whatever was controlling the computer clearly had a sense of humor, as moments after she had issued her challenge the speakers began playing more music. Once Rand understood the lyrics he grinned through the kiss, breaking it a moment later to look into her golden eyes. "So you want me to use my hands? I'll use my hands then." His hands had been moving while he spoke, one hand raising up to stroke her ear while the other lowered to her core and pressed lightly.

Conrí shook his head. "No, it's okay, Jen, I asked." He smiled at her reassuringly. He listened to Jason and couldn't help but sigh again. Fen...help?
Wolves don't have weddings. Also, avoid the baths for a bit.
The wolf boy shuddered and blushed. Is there something in the bath water, then?
The wolf just laughed in the spirit realm.
He cleared his throat and thought a while about suggestions. "Well, there's usually dancing and drinking at such parties. But, I suppose it depends on what kind of party we want. And, not that kind, at least, not out in public, dear." He wondered when Lucia would be back and if she could help them.

Mink rolled their eyes at the hug but did return it, something that Lucia noted immediately, followed by the location of their ever-present hoodie. Looking closer at their aura revealed enough differences to make her smile. "You've grown since we last met. Learned how to use Light and Darkness finally too, I see."
Mink gave their mother one of their rare smiles. "Yup. Also dealt with most of my fear and blame. It's been a good two years."
"So you're eighteen now, huh?" Lucia's eyes twinkled slightly. "Already an adult. I'm proud of you, Mink."
Mink's smile grew at the praise as Lucia kissed them on the forehead softly, then turned to head into the kitchen. Halfway there she paused and turned back. "Oh! Anything I need to be caught up on?"
"Aunt Éirín and Uncle Rand are having fun in the bath, Uncle Jason and Uncle Conrí are planning their wedding in the kitchen with Aunt Jen, and Ailill is currently crazy and wants to find Tamara. Those last two'll be explained by Uncle Rand, and yes he's the same one from the books."
"Okay..." Lucia looked confused for a moment, but decided she'd figure it out soon enough. "By the way, if Skyler comes out of the book tell her I needed to figure out what was going on, okay? She's a Gummi pilot, so you two should get along just fine."
With that, she entered the kitchen as Mink pulled their goggles down and resumed welding.
Jason blushed at Conrí's tease just as Lucia walked though the door, catching the last of what was said with a grin. As Jen jumped up and hugged her sister she gave the other two a knowing look. "So, I hear there's wedding planning going on here. What was it you asked Jen about, Conrí?"

Conrí stopped laughing at Jason blushing the second he smelled Lucia. By the time she got in the door, he was already standing at attention. "I asked her about Soul Cords. Specifically if mine would explode the way yours did, Master. Jen told me enough that I understand, and she was apologising for bringing the mood down. Jason and I were just discussing our reception, actually. We're open to suggestions, and, we were wondering if you could bake the cake, please, Lucia. White chocolate raspberry and chocolate for the middle tier and a marbling of the two for the top. Also, um...you might want to stay out of the bath..." At this, he blushed, hoping that she wouldn't need more information than that.
The wolf boy nodded after he had given his report and sat back down, next to Jay. He looked at Lucia, then to the empty chair across from him. He smiled. "Please, join us. I'll get you some ramen, Lucia. It's still hot." He rose again and walked over to the kitchen area and prepared a bowl. The would be king walked back and placed the bowl at the space next to Jen. He gestured for her to sit. "There is more, but, I'm trying to keep it light, as it involves Castle Oblivion. We need to find one of Rand's friend's wife, and, we think he's in Castle Oblivion, but, we're hoping not to run into him until we can bring his wife to him. He apparently threatened Avalon, but, it's due to him going mad from...something from Rand's world." Conrí looked at Jen and hoped that she could help him better explain, since he didn't quite understand it. "The only reason I chose to tell you, other than the fact that it would have eaten at me, is because, I don't know what all Rand will be...up to until the morning, and, I didn't want you that unaware until the last moment."

Lucia rolled her eyes as Jen let go and bounced back a few steps, the action looking very similar to her child. "I appreciate the update, Conrí, but there's no need to be so formal. We're friends first, remember?" A smile cut any harshness of her words, though it slipped a little when Jen whispered in her ear.
"Ah, so you know about the dark secret of the Dualities then. What they likely didn't tell you was that the few infants they didn't outright kill they experimented on in attempts to isolate the Duality gene. Ironically, Elmindreda is exactly what they wanted, despite being only half-Celderatian."
She casually moved to the offered bowl and started eating at that point as Jason tried to summarize the sections his love was confused by. "Basically Rand's world has two versions of magic depending on if you're male or female. They accidentally opened a hole in a dark god's prison some three thousand years ago, and when they tried to fix it the god retaliated by messing with the male half, driving all of them insane. Rand is the reincarnation of the leader of the magic users, and got rid of the thing making all they guys insane, but the insanity itself is more like a spell that has to be dispelled from each person. This Ailill is either the same one from three thousand years ago or reincarnated just before he did that, so he's still insane."
He looked to the sisters for confirmation as Lucia finished eating with a contented sigh. "Right, that's pretty much accurate, and it also explains everything better for me. So his madness manifested in irrational anger and an obsession to find his wife, whom Mink said is alive somewhere. As for Castle Oblivion, I've been there twice and there's no way he'll be able to find us unless he's there when we enter a floor. Those floors are pretty damn big."

Conrí sighed and blushed slightly. "Of course, Lucia. It's simply that your absence concerned me." He listened to everything that was said by his Master, unable to contain his grimace as she spoke. He found himself walking over to her and hugging her, carefully and lightly, like a brother might to a sister, if that sister wasn't Éirín, at least.
The wolf boy let go after a few moments and walked back over to his chair. He tried to listen to Jason's explanation. At least it made more sense this time around. Kind of. Don't run into scary crazy guy. If do, don't engage. Simple enough to follow, he supposed. A faint--for his hearing--echo from down the hall filled his ears, and a slight blush appeared on his face. Sound proof...I thought it was sound proof.
The would be king excused himself, certain that he and Fen could have been the only ones who heard, and returned with a bottle of mead and four glasses. "I'm relieved that the crazed man won't likely find us. Now, since we were planning a wedding and a reception, and, Lucia is out of a weird book alive, I say we toast." Conrí was interested in celebrating, but, he also wanted to get the thought of what was going on with his sister out of his head.

Lucia returned the hug gratefully, though she still felt that he was being a bit formal, likely due to meeting his sister again. She kept her thoughts to herself for now though, particularly once she noticed his attention divert and the resulting blush. She didn't need his hearing to know what he had heard, or how awkward that must be. "Aura, soundproof Zone Two please." Dimly she sensed a magic barrier solidify in the walls and door to the bath just moments before the A.I. confirmed it through the speakers.
Just as she sensed that she also sensed a difference in Jason, a subtle shift in his soul. "Let me guess, you found out that you're a latent Minor Duality like my sis?." Jason's sheepish grin confirmed it, though the movement of his aura suggested something. "You've got Auric Sight too? Congrats, I guess. Welcome to the headache club." That last was accompanied by a chuckle.
"Wait, so you've got a new form too? Oh, can I see, or is it like mine?"
"Yeah, but I only figured it out in the middle of a fight for our lives thanks to someone," he side-eyed Lucia, "not fixing the simulator properly. We went from a friendly spar to fighting that Heartless from Agrabah, which managed to go nuclear. Thank the gods that new form is decently fast."
Now it was Lucia's turn to blush.

Conrí focused on pouring the drinks, but, he nodded appreciatively at Lucia. He raised his glass and bid the others do the same. "Sláinte!" He sipped at the mead, even though he wanted to down his drink in one go despite what Lucia had done to fix the problem. He simply listened and watched the trio interact. A huge grin split his face as he observed. I've found a great pack.
Indeed.
The wolf boy smiled at where he sensed Fen was in the spirit realm. He laughed at Jen's musing and Jason's reprimand to Lucia. "Easy, Jay. We're all in one piece. That's the main thing, and, Mink sorted it out, so, it should be okay. Lucia, did you know my sweet Jay here hid an entire level scheme to the house from me? Also, Jen, if he does show off his new form, you might want to wear protective gear. After our arses were nearly handed to us, he had trouble figuring out how to leave it, and was having trouble moving. He loves me so much that he was aiming to finish what the Heartless had started after saving me from it. The form ended, with him mid air, and he fell on me," Conrí winked and kissed Jason softly on the lips.
The would be king did turn his attention back to his planning. "So, who knows of places where we can just let loose after the festivities of a ceremony?"
