Amber too had lost consciousness during the journey that the bard had taken. The pain was just too much for her to bear. She did wake up prior to Rekka however. Bartimaeus had taken them to an inn it seemed because the two of them were both in a large queen sized bed in a single room. At least that was what Amber figured. Bartimaeus of course was no where to be seen.
Someone had wrapped her hip in a bandage. Additional Amber was surprised to find that the majority of the pain was gone from her hip. In fact she could actually move! Someone must have healed it! There was a dull pain coming from the area, as she found out when she sat up in the bed. It was a more tolerable pain in comparison to the pain prior.
Glancing over at Rekka, Amber could not see any visible bandages on her. But she seemed much better off now, with color visible in her face. Hearing Rekka mumble something Amber smiled. At least it seemed that she was alright. "Hey! You doing alright?" She asked.
-----------------
Down below, in the common room, Bartimaeus sat at the bar with a drink in his hand. He now wore a traveler's cowl with the hood covering his face. In his hand was a clear glass with some sort of clear liquid inside. He sat at the end of the bar, next to another stranger with a cowl hiding his identity. Bartimaeus was in the middle of a conversation.
"My father wouldn't listen to me! He wouldn't even read the letter. Heck he even went as far as chastising me in front of his court!" A familiar voice said.
Bartimaeus just sighed. It was what he had expected. "What has happened to his majesty that he has become so afflicted?" Bartimaeus asked, more to himself than Prince Julian.
The Prince had not taken a drink at the bar, refusing to touch the liquid. He was much different than his brother. He always had been, even when he was a child. Despite all the responsibility that being an heir had, Prince Orion had always been the rebellious one. His brother, Julian, was different. As a child he'd always remind Orion of his responsibilities. Bartimaeus couldn't even count the number of lies the child had said for his brother back then.
"This is all Orion's fault! Again!" The young prince said in frustration. Such a sentence was another familiar sound. It continued the nostalgia of the past.
Taking a hard swig of the glass, Bartimaeus let the alcohol do its work. He didn't want to think of the past. There was danger in reminiscing the past.
"How are the girls?"
Placing the glass down Bartimaeus answered, "They should be doing alright. I'm glad you were able to use some of that fancy magic you learned in that school of yours." He mocked playfully.
"I'd still be at that school if it wasn't for..." Prince Julian started. Bartimaeus could tell that the youth was having a hard time being here. It was why he had suggested that they go to the bar and get some drinks. He wanted to get his mind off of the past events as much as anyone else.
There was not much alcohol left in his glas. The bard downed the rest in a hard shot that made him grimace. Placing the glass down with a thump, the light headed bard felt much better. "Let's go check on um." The two headed back to the door. The girls would be in the middle of conversing when they reached the door and opened it.

If anything, stiff and sore would best describe Rekka's condition. As she blinked, doing her best to clear her vision, she heard a voice. It was the sound of a woman's voice. Having been pretty out of it earlier, it took her a moment to recognize the voice. It was Amber's! Turning her head to better see her, Rekka registered what she had been saying. She felt no pain like she had before. Just how long had she been unconscious?
"I feel...sore and...stiff. But...not like I've just survived slashes from a sword."
Should she dare to sit up? After a short moment, Rekka forced herself to sit up. She gritted her teeth only because she felt so heavy and stiff. Other than that tough, she was fine. It were as if she had simply had a hard time sleeping the night before, this kind of pain. Pain that was more bearable than the slashes she had last time. Looking around the room, she looked back at Amber after a short moment. Where were they and how did they get here? Where was Bartimaeus? Did he survive that failure in the square?
"Are you okay, Amber?" Rekka had asked her.
"Where's Bartimaeus?" Rekka had gone to ask but the door had suddenly opened. Rekka furrowed her brows, thinking they were in for trouble as two figures appeared with cowls concealing their faces. Well, not intentionally toward them but their faces were definitely in shadow. Eye narrowing, Rekka remained put but spoke to them, not even aware that it was Bartimaeus and Prince Julian.
"Who are you?" Rekka growled in warning. Who could blame her? After what they've been through she wasn't about to let them get killed while they were still only just recovering. She didn't have a weapon but she knew she could really make a pillow hurt like hell if she had to.

"Your savior my lady." One of the figures said as they made a humble bow. Bartimaeus wasn't fooling anyone though, least of all Amber.
"Right there apparently." She responded to Rekka's question by pointing to the bowing figure. The bard drew his hood back to reveal his face. He looked perfectly fine. "And I'm alright. Just some minor pains. Nothing compared to the pain I felt before."
Pulling back the hood of his cloak, Prince Julian revealed his face as well. "That is good to hear. Both of you had received some painful injuries. I did my best to heal them."
Blushing, Amber glanced away. She didn't mean to sound ungreatful and hopefully she hadn't come off that way. She did worry that she might have. "I um... Thank you for healing us." She told the Prince.
Bartimaeus closed the door behind them and took a seat in one of the chairs at the foot of the bed. Prince Julian took a step closer and rubbed his arm as he gave both Rekka and he a smile. "It was my pleasure. Sorry I could not do more. And you Rekka. How are you doing?" He asked.

Rekka realized instantly who it was the minute he spoke. Bartimaeus, throughout that trouble they had endured, had saved their lives...a second time. As Amber spoke, Rekka gave a nod as she simmered down. She knew who they were and she knew that they didn't have to worry anymore about them being strangers. If strangers had come into the room, well they would have two tough girls to deal with. Well, Rekka probably wasn't tough like Amber since she hadn't the skills like Amber but her fire abilities were nothing to laugh at. Calm, Rekka watched as Bartimaeus removed his hood to reveal his face looking completely untouched.
Amber acted as if nothing had happened as she answered Rekka's question on whether or not she had been alright. It was relieving to know that Amber was fine aside from minor pains. A look of relief had passed over Rekka's face then. She didn't want to be losing anymore friends today or in the next whole month if she could help it. She had already seen enough deaths to last her a lifetime. Ty, Justin, Joshua and now Infusca. All four of them were dead. Since no one had reminded her of Infusca just yet, the emotional pain of failing the necromancer did not come.
While Bartimaeus had revealed his identity, Rekka watched the second one carefully like a hawk despite being calmer than she was earlier. When Julian pulled down his hood and revealed who he was, Rekka ceased her guarded disposition towards the two. According to what Julian said, they had painful injuries and he had healed them. It was a lucky thing that they had been healed. Rekka had thought that with her injuries that she was going to die. She wondered if the interaction she had with her deceased father had been real or a mere dream. Of course, she didn't bring that topic up. She didn't want the others to hear anything of the sort and liked to keep that quiet since the memory of him had been during the time where she had lost her eye. It only brought back bad memories and she wasn't willing to tell the tale of how it was done.
Rekka heard Amber thanking Julian for healing them. She watched as Bartimaeus took that moment to shut the door before walking over to a seat at the foot of the bed and seating himself there before Julian spoke to her directly. Rekka brought her gaze over to him. "I'm doing much better than I was earlier. If anything, I guess I'm stiff for being out for so long. Thank you for healing us," she said that with a respectful nod of her head and a slight smile. Truly, she was grateful to still be alive. She didn't want to let the others know how close to death she believed she had been.
Then, Rekka's gaze turned toward the bard. "And thank you too, Bartimaeus. For dragging us out of danger...a second time..." Rekka said. She knew it might inflate his ego but they owed him thanks for his help a second time.
"How long have we been out of it anyway?" Rekka looked between Prince Julian and Bartimaeus for a reply.

Amber watched Bartimaeus's smile as Rekka acknowledged that the bard had saved them a second time. "It is no problem dear. I don't know what you two would do without me? Not survive most like." That smile was sly, and Amber could see the cockiness behind it.
"We'd probably be in a lot less danger too." She said, looking over at Rekka. The eye patch wearing young lady would know exactly what she was talking about.
Prince Julian let out a small laugh at her comment and Bartimaeus couldn't help but join in as well. "I guess you are right about that one." He admitted.
The Young Prince took the silence that followed to answer Rekka's question. "Only for a couple of hours. Things have calmed down... somewhat. I was telling Mast... I mean Bartimaeus about what's been happening. The meeting with my father didn't go so well. He wouldn't listen to me, nor did he even bother to look at the letter."
Adding to that, Bartimaeus continued where Prince Julian left off. "The bartender filled me in on the street view of what happened. There saying that a group of individuals headed by an elf, attacked the guards in an attempt to free her. The head jailer was seriously injured in the attack as was Sir Edward. Though Sir Edward has been given the credit for killing Infusca before she could escape. But that's just the rumors on the street. We will know more when the castle makes an official announcement."
Nodding, Amber couldn't help but feel a wave of guilt with the mention of Infusca. They had failed her, and the bards bringing her up had reminded her of that. "I lost another one..." She thought in sadness. Once more she had lost another person in her charge. Amber was supposed to be the captain of the crew. It was her job to protect them. "Why can't I ever protect the one's I love?" Tears threatened then. She had to blink them away.
"I should actually be getting back to the castle. I'll say my goodbyes here." Turning to the bard, the prince threw his arms around him in a hug. "It was good to see you again Master. I am sure we will meet again soon, whatever you guys decide to do. Know that if any of you need me all you have to do is but call upon me and I will aid you in any ways I can. That is for you two as well."
Seeing that the Prince was saying goodbye Amber nodded. "Thank you once more for everything." Once everyone had their chance to say goodbye, Julian reached into his pocket and pulled out two items. The first was the letter that Amber had given him to give to his father, the king.
"I'm sorry he won't listen. I will continue to try, but you should give this to whomever you think can truly help you. At the moment it is not I." Handing it back to Amber, she took it.
The second item that the Prince pulled out was a small lock like square box. Amber had seen that before! "Here's the portal box you asked for. It's only good for a one time use, but it will take you to any of the four worlds. See you guys." With that Prince Julian exited.
With just the three of them once again it was Bartimaeus who broke the silence that followed. "So what do we do now?"

Rekka gave a chuckle at what Amber had said as she brought her gaze toward her captain and gave a nod. "Yeah, bankers indeed!" she retorted, teasing Bartimaeus. Bartimaeus seemed to take it as a joke too and laughed it off as well. A bit of a laugh was nice. Rekka could use it to take her mind off of their epic failure. As soon as a moment of silence had fallen over them, it was Prince Julian who took it to answer Rekka's question as to how long they had all been out of it.
As she listened, Rekka was relieved to find they had only been out of it for a few hours. At least they hadn't lost a few days. Rekka couldn't imagine having to lay low for more than a few days with two ucnonscious friends. Julian claimed things seemed to have calmed down but the meeting with the king hadn't gone well. Rekka looked back at the prince as she heard him state that his father would listen to him or even look at the letter. Rekka gave a sigh and shook her head at that.
"It's alright...even if he had, it wouldn't have stalled the execution at the rate of which they were moving along with it..." Rekka trailed off, reliving the moment. It was terrifying. One moment, she had Infusca, safe and sound and the next, that elf had killed her before any of them could do anything about it! Rekka's brows furrowed at that. All because of that stupid elf! Rekka hd almost lost her life too because of that elf. She hoped they wouldn't be running into him again anytime soon. Who he was, she never found out.
Bartimaeus then piped in telling them about what the bartender had told him. An elf had supposedly helped them, Rekka scoffed loudly at that one. They all knew that bastard had tried to kill them and killed Infusca! "And people say that I'm half blind!" Rekka stated. Then, it was rumored Sir Edward had been given credit for killing Infusca. The head jailer and Sir Edward had both been heavily injured in the attack. No doubt, their group were wanted criminals here. At least they had tried to save a friend. Still, being reminded that Infusca had been killed made her lower her gaze and not look at anyone.
'I had her safe and sound! If I had paid more attention, she would've probably still been alive! I failed her,' Rekka thought to herself. She was beating herself up more over it since she had been right there when that elf had appeared and killed Infusca all in the blink of an eye! He had been a fast thing too. It wasn't easy for Rekka to counter anything he had thrown at her, especially when he had barraged her so much with his attacks. The memory of those emotionless eyes sent a chill down her spine. She wouldn't be forgetting that face any time soon, that was for sure! No doubt, many nightmares to come would probably consist of that accursed elf!
Then, Julian brought attention onto himself claiming that it was time he took his leave. Rekka wondered if his father would give him slack for the letter situation. Would they return and make sure things here were alright? Rekka hated the idea of someone getting blamed because of them. "Thank you again, your highness. We're sorry for any trouble on your part we have caused." Rekka half wondered what the royal family was like back in Cornelia. She hadn't seen them before so she had to wonder once again what they were like and if they were kind like Julian here.
Julian apologized about his father not listening before handing the letter back over to them. Then, he had handed them a strange box. Rekka peered at it curiously. It was to her surprise that he claimed it was a means of portalling around but only for a one time use. Rekka peered back up at the prince. "Thank you, Prince Julian." She had given a respectful nod in his direction once more before he finally left their presence.
Now, it was just them three again. When Bartimaeus spoke, Rekka gave a shrug before looking over at Amber. "Where do you feel we should go? We were sent way off course from our mission...Or do you think we must try somewhere else first? If we do go back though, I could get the portal beans I had and use those to help us travel. Only if you say so though..."

Where should they go from here? That was an excellent question! For once Amber didn't have the answer. Rekka was right about one opportunity. They could return to Cornelia. There she could get her portal beans, which would help them travel. But would the portal beans be able to get them all the way to Elfenhiem? Additionally should they even do that? What if they ran into that elf again? He would not doubt just send them somewhere else.
"I don't know if I'm ready to return home." She thought to herself. She hadn't seen or heard from her mother in years. What would her mother say when she saw here now? Her task was to show the letter to the elf and return his response to the kingdom.
"That is definitely one option we should consider. It would make the most sense given the nature of that letter. It is addressed to the Chief Elder in Elfenhiem. However given what happened last time I do not know if we would make it through the barrier once more. We could always just return to Cornelia and you could return the letter to the king."
Amber raised her head and spoke up. "No. I will not fail the king." Amber refused to just give up! Rekka had taught her a valuable lesson back in the dungeon. One did not just "give up".
Bartimaeus nodded in understanding. "Well then I can think of two other options we should consider. We could try to take the letter to one of the other world leaders. There's the Head of the Wilder Family in the Land of Dragons. We could go there. Or we could also go to the Prime Minister of Twilight Town."
The Wilder family... Amber could have sworn she heard that name before. "Who are the Wilder Family?"

Rekka was silent as she waited for a response. It was Bartimaeus that spoke first. He was agreeing that they could go back to Cornelia, go to the elf realm and deliver the letter to the elf elder or just simply return the letter to Cornelia. Rekka's gaze shifted onto Amber then as the bard seemed to be suggesting that they give up. At this, Amber had raised her head and denied going back only to return to Cornelia and handing back the letter. Failure was not an option in this sort of mission. Failure, Rekka could do without it for a change. Everywhere they turned, they seemed to be running into that a lot lately.
After Amber had denied them going back and simply returning the letter to the king, Bartimaeus suggested that they could try to take the letter to the other world leaders instead. He didn't seem keen on returning to Cornelia to try and make it to the elf realm a second time. After their horrible first try, Rekka could understand why. Of course, Rekka had heard of Twilight Town and Land of Dragons. Land of Dragonjs was where her mother had originated from. Honestly, Rekka was curious of both worlds but especially Land of Dragons. She might find family there for all she knew. Maybe a grandmother or grandfather? Still, her parents always said it was just them and that they had no other family from what she knew but there was always a chance it could have been a lie. Even if there wasn't family there, just going there would be something. Someone there might know of her mother there and she might get to hear of what life was like when her mother was younger.
When Bartimaeus mentioned the Wilder family, Rekka sat up a bit. She had heard of the Wilder family. "They're a very large, brave family of warriors. My mother came from Land of Dragons. I've not heard too much about it but what I do know is Wilders have been around for many generations. A few noteable Wilders had taken part in a few noteable eras in the past where the worlds were endangered. The last one I knew of was...I think...a keyblade master, the last keyblade master...at least, I think. I can't remember much. I wasn't around back then and was told these stories when I was young. They even have some sort of armor that chooses members of that family to fight and most that have had the armor have been noteable warriors. Like...there was Rowen the Great, Justice...um...then there was Lance! They even have a place dedicated to the previous Wilders where others can go and visit it and take a glimpse of what had once been."
Rekka realized she had gone on for a while and lowered her gaze. "Erm...yeah, anyways, I'm fine with where we go. I've not seen either worlds and it would be interesting either way to go to either of them." She brought her gaze up then as she waited to hear what the final verdict would be.

Listening to Amber go on about the Wilder family, it was obvious to Lara that she was familiar with at least some of the Wilder family. Hearing the excitement and the way she went on to describe some of the members of the family, it made Amber wonder if Rekka would prefer to go there then? Hearing her add that she was fine either way though brought a smile to Amber and a small laugh from Bartimaeus.
"That's right. All of the keybladers in the last two hundred years have all come from the Wilder family. Red Wilder the III was the leading General in the Great War thirty years ago. I do not know the current head of the Wilder family. But they are definitely someone who would not ignore that letter."
Amber nodded and smiled. "Then it's settled!" Leaping out of the bed, Amber stood up straight. She was ready. Well not really... They probably all could do with a few days of rest after everything. They've been moving non stop since they left Cornelia. It felt like such a long time ago in comparison to the month its actually been. "Were going to the Land of Dragons!"
Lifting an eyebrow, Bartimaeus asked. "Right now? But we just got here!" While that was true, Amber did not want to stay here any longer then they had too. After all they were most likely fugitives. It would be only a matter of time before the kingdom had sketches of them made and out in the public.
"Yes! We'll take a few days when we get to the Land of Dragons to rejuvenate. I don't think its smart to stay in a world where we ran out of prison, are being blamed for trying to help a necromancer, and responsible for harming a number of the world's police force."
Nodding, Bartimaeus said, "Well when you put it that way..." So long as there were no objections from Rekka, Bartimaeus was ready to open the portal box and the two of them were both ready to get out of here.

Rekka really had seemed enamored about the idea of going to Land of Dragons and even seeing the museum or whatever dedicated to the past Wilders. That and it would be nice to see what her mother's world was like. She was hoping that she could run into past friends of her mother there. Why wouldn't she be interested about a place family had been but she had never been? Naturally, she was curious. That and the thought had excited her. Rekka didn't mean to influence their decision. She was just curious and excited about possibly visiting the world eventually. Having realized that she had been practically gushing about the world, Rekka had ceased immediately. She didn't want the others to feel like she was pushing for them to go there. Honestly, she was fine with going to where they chose in the end. After all, she hadn't ever been to Twilight Town before either.
When Bartimaeus piped up, Rekka nodded at that. "Yes! I forgot his name because I was little when I heard the stories but yes!"
Amber seemed like her mind was made up. A smile on her face, Amber had hopped off the bed stating it was settled. Looking over at her, Rekka tried her best to not look overly excited about going to her mother's homeworld as Amber announced they would be going to the Land of Dragons. Rekka couldn't help but perk up at that regardless as she gave a smile. Before she could respond though, Bartimaeus had pointed out that they hadn't spent much time here and had only just been here. Looking over at him, Rekka realized that he did have a point but was it worth staying her for much longer after everything? Infusca had died, they had been captured and were most likely branded as fugitives in this world. Nothing they had done would benefit their staying here.
Thankfully, Amber decided that they would ultimately go there. Here, they were fugitives. It would not be safe for them to remain especially when they could have better mages than that bandaged man. Rekka hadn't really seen him turn tail like he had in the square but she didn't want to meet him again or more like him. What Amber had said was enough to convince Bartimaeus to go there too. Rekka hopped off the bed too and looked around.
"Um...where's my dad's sword?" Rekka had asked, looking around for it to no avail. She didn't know that the bard had used it. Her memory of the square since getting injured had been a haze. Instead, she focused on their situation. They could not afford to remain here and risk getting caught because she didn't have her father's sword. Maybe one of the others had it? She hoped. Then again, how had she been able to summon it? How had it appeared in her hand on the square earlier? Maybe she could do that again?
"I'm ready to go when you all are. I'd rather us not risk staying here and risk our lives more than necessary considering there may be quite a bounty on our heads now after what happened."

Bartimaeus blushed at the mention of Rekka's sword. "Oh ya... um... I sort of borrowed it back during the battle. It's right here actually." The bard headed over to the bed and pulled the blade out from underneath it. He hoped Rekka didn't mind him using it. At the time it had been the only weapon available. Handing it to Rekka, he waited for any retaliation.
Amber on the other hand picked up the portal box. She had only seen one once before. The devices could easily cost up to ten thousand munny. A whole family could spend years saving up that kind of money to only afford one. It was much easier to simply buy passage on a gummi transport ship. The last time Amber had used a portal box she had been going to the Graveyard. After that her entire world had changed.
Opening the box she looked at the dial inside. Using the device was simple. One just turned the dial inside to the symbol of the world they wanted to go too. The symbol for the Land of Dragons was a small dragon. Turning the dial to the dragon she pressed the button down. The surprise of seeing a portal open in front her caused her to jump back. She wasn't used to portals just splitting in front of you.
"Let's go guys." Placing the box on the ground, she headed into the portal. Bartimaeus would follow after, leaving Rekka to bring up the rear.
--------------------------
There were five of them sat or stood around a square table. The shadows thrown on the cavern walls flickered from the torches that provided light in the cave. Light at the opening of the cave was mostly blocked by the large black dragon that lay in front of it. The dragon's head rested on the floor, but her ears were perked and nostrils steaming with smoke.
Three of the five sitting at the table were elves. At the head of the table, Emperor Lakari stood. To his immediate left was his son, Prince Zaffre, The Prince of Ravens. Across from him was the scholarly elf, Kanam. Next to Kanam was the young shadow girl known only as Chloe. It had cost her an arm and leg to get here, but once she recieved the summons she had no choice but to come. And finally across from her sat Mara, the young Fire Dancer from the Land of Dragons.
Mara was the first to speak. "This is it? When I joined I was told we would be conquering the universe. How are we to do that with six people?" She asked in a snotty tone.
Across from her, Chloe looked like she was ready to shoot daggers through Mara for what she just said. Additionally the scholarly elf looked absolutely stunned that she would speak in such a manner in front of the Emperor. "Know your place girl!" He retorted.
Lakari just smiled. "It is alright, my friend." Lakari turned his attention to Mara. "She is absolutely right. We six are no where near strong enough to defeat an entire army."
"My daughter! She is safe?!" The voice of the dragon vibrated in all of their minds, with it a slight feeling of worry and apprehension from her.
Nodding Lakari answered. "My son has confided that she is not in any jeopardy what so ever." What Lakari said was true, she was in no danger. He just happened to leave out that the reason she wasn't in any danger was because she had already been killed.
"Good. Then tell us Lakari. How do you plan on taking over a world with no necromancers and only six warriors?"
Lakari again just smiled in response. "We can't. I agree none of you are near strong enough. But that is why I called you here today. You all wish for power. And you all know that I can give it to you." Placing both of his hands on his chest, a bright light erupted from them. As he slowly lifted them away from his chest, a black orb of darkness seeped out of Lakari's body. The orb was about the size of a basketball, and it floated through the air out in front of them as Lakari extended his hands forward.
"If you wish for power then grasp the orb. It will grant you the power you need." Having never seen anything like this before, everyone glanced at one another. Who would be the first to touch the orb?
Seeing the hesitation on their faces, Lakari provoked them. "Come now! You all want to rule, yet do not have the power to do so! You are right. As we are now we cannot accomplish a thing. Accept it! You need me!"
Slowly, everyone extended their hands towards the orb (or in the case of the dragon her tail.) Even the Prince of Ravens slowly extended his hand towards the orb. One by one they placed their hands on the orb of darkness. Once everyone was touching the orb, Lakari slowly extended his own hand to the orb. When he did the the orb of darkness split up as the darkness suddenly shot into the arms of all the individuals except for Lakari.
As the darkness entered their bodies, they began to shake. Their appearances suddenly started to melt away as their physical bodies began to morph into someone else. It was a strange thing to watch. Lakari had seen it only happen once, a very long long time ago. Thankfully he had not been a part of it, only an observer. However being the recipient of what he had just done was an entirely different experience in comparison.
He could feel six awareness appear in his mind. It could only be compared to a person suddenly gaining six new personalities and consciousnesses all at once. Each one had their own set of feelings and thoughts, and for a moment they threatened to overcome Lakari. As each consciousness realized that there were also consciousnesses, they started to attack each other. Each one fought for control of the body, trying to make it move. It took Lakari's constant focus to keep that from happening. It was like a tug of war with six ends all connected to eachother. At the end of each end a person wrestled for control of the other five. But only one could come out victorious.
Being the initiator of this, Lakari had the advantage. He knew exactly what was going on and the rules that went with it. Using that knowledge he was able to win that match of tug of war. When he did there was no further resistance. The morph of each individual was complete. Lakari hadn't even realized that he had closed his eyes in the process of all this. Opening them he was slightly surprised by what he saw. Even the dragon had morphed into a different creature all together. Lakari couldn't help but laugh. He had done it! Somehow he had done it!
"It is a good thing I did not wait till we were thirteen to try this. It will be much easier to add one to six than to add thirteen to one." He said to himself. Lakari pulled up his hood. The first phase was now complete. Now it was on to phase two. "It is time to unseal that which has been blocked from the darkness. Secrecy is of vital importance now. Scatter to the worlds. You know what must be done." And indeed they did, for their minds were now all his. Still for the sake of sanity it felt good to hear them all respond yes.

Rekka looked a bit pale as she seemed to look around but not at the others, as if she were still searching for her father's sword. It scared her to think she would lose it. If anything, she never wanted to lose it. It had been her father's and was her only memento of him. When Bartimaeus spoke up, she turned to him as he went over to the bed and pulled the sword out from underneath it. Rekka gave a huge sigh of relief as Bartimaeus handed the weapon over to her. Taking it from him, Rekka returned the sword to its proper place strapped at her side. It felt good to know what was an extension of her was back in its proper place again.
"Thanks, I was worried I had lost it."
Even if the bard had used it, Rekka didn't take offense that he had. A weapon was meant to be used as a weapon. She was glad that he had used it since if he didn't they could have been killed. "It's probably a lucky thing you did use it...even luckier that you didn't lose it." She said nothing more about it since really, it wasn't anything to get flared up about. Besides, the weapon didn't seem to be worn out. In fact, when she had inspected the blade before strapping it to her side again it didn't even look like it had been used at all. It looked brand new which was odd since she knew swords had to be sharpened after use. In fact, the training swords she had in Cornelia had been sharpened all the time where her father's never needed to be. Was it because the metal was that durable? She never thought to question it before until recently. She didn't stop the others though to question it now. She would at a later time since they had to go now.
Giving Bartimaeus a nod of her head, Rekka followed after the bard when Amber ripped open a portal, beckoning them all forward. "Coming!" Rekka called after her and entered through the portal last. It would close up behind her then.

While Lakari had claimed the conscious minds of his followers and even his own son, Ivan had returned to the place where all of the four heads normally met. As he arrived, the female head was there already waiting.
"I suspected you would return...although it's clear to me that you are not the same. Personality seems a bit wilder and darker."
Ivan looked back at her and nodded. "What that elf had done to me had brought out the darkness in me more. It made it wilder is all. Are the others scheduled to arrive here?" Ivan had asked her. The woman gave a slow nod.
"Of course they are. They're aware of what happened and the elf's attempt at taking control over you. He had contacted us, after all. You know, our head honcho!" The woman stated. Ivan gave a knowing nod. He had felt the dark god's presence when the elf had appeared and tried to exert complete control over Ivan. Where Lakari's hold had entered Ivan's system the Dark God could easily take it over. He was letting the elf try to get more powerful and try to take over completely. Soon, very soon, they would discuss what was to be decided amongst them about aiding and allying with Lakari.
